[0:03]okay ald we spoke about the first sermon of and in this
[0:41]sermon we discussed several things first of all we discussed that in
[0:54]this sermon we discussed the creation Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala created he
[1:01]is the Creator and this is the sermon of and then the
[1:07]creation of the Angels then we move on to the creation of
[1:12]Adam and the description the descriptions of Adam according to the sermon
[1:19]the beautiful sermon of so in this part is going to discuss
[1:25]how Adam our father was created and how the creation began [Music]
[1:38]so he says so once again for those who are familiar with
[2:14]the Arabic language you will see that this is the highest and
[2:22]the most eloquent of usage of words that is is using and
[2:27]this is why we see that there are many commentaries that are
[2:34]written just talking about the eloquence of the words of of course
[2:39]we're going to focus not as much on the eloquence because We're
[2:43]translating it into English we're focusing more on the message of but
[2:52]if the you know if in an atmosphere where there are more
[2:59]people who are there are people who are more familiar with the
[3:03]Arabic language they would appreciate this more so he's talking about the
[3:08]creation of Adam he says Allah collected from the hard the soft
[3:13]the sweet and the sour Earth Earth clay which he dripped in
[3:20]water till it got Pure and kneaded it with moisture till it
[3:25]became gluey from it he carved an image with curves joints Limbs
[3:33]and segments so basically the one of the Prime teachings that we
[3:37]have in the Quran that Allah subhanahu wa taala created Adam from
[3:42]the soil and several verses in the Quran talk about this message
[3:46]Allah subhana waa says in the Quran referring to Earth Allah says
[3:58]from it from the earth from the soil we created you and
[4:04]to it we will return you and from it we will resurrect
[4:06]you at another time so here so Allah he says Allah got
[4:19]from the hard and the soft and the sweet and the sour
[4:21]Earth there are different types of Earth you know you go to
[4:26]this land you see the Earth has this color here the Earth
[4:28]is hard here the Earth is this is one description that Allah
[4:35]subhanahu waa created people from different from different types some people have
[4:39]understood this this as a metaphor to saying that some people they're
[4:45]happy some people are soft some people are sweet some people are
[4:49]sour and bitter so the way people are is from the earth
[4:53]that they were taken from from the soil that they were created
[4:59]from that is how people are and we even have several several
[5:03]narrations in one of the most important books of Hadith by the
[5:10]name ofi where the imams they say that Allah subhana created and
[5:17]the who believe in they were created from the remain remaining soil
[5:23]that created that had to do with the and this is why
[5:30]they have with them and then there's others who their tur their
[5:34]soil that they were created from is from s a soil from
[5:39]the Hellfire a soil that is not very good that does not
[5:46]accept and and you see just as people some people they're kind
[5:50]they're loving they give back there are also there are also people
[5:53]who accept the truth who accept the H and there are people
[5:59]who reject the truth and reject the so this perhaps it could
[6:03]be a metaphor that he says he created he brought people from
[6:06]the soft and the sweet and the sour Earth similarly this could
[6:12]be a reference to the AK and the manners that people have
[6:14]and then he says he dripped in water till it got Pure
[6:20]and kneaded it with moisture till it became gluey until it became
[6:23]something like mud then from it he carved an image with curves
[6:31]with joints with limbs and with segments and then he says he
[6:51]solidified it till it dried up for a fixed time and a
[6:57]known duration so the Angels they saw that this creation was created
[7:00]out of clay and then it was left for a long time
[7:05]According to some Hadith 40 years they just saw clay like this
[7:11]then he blew into it then Allah subhanahu waala blew into it
[7:17]out of his Spirit whereupon it took the pattern of a human
[7:21]being so there was this clay that that was created out of
[7:26]soil out of this different types of soil then Allah subhanahu wa
[7:31]ta'ala blew into it from his Spirit whereupon it took the pattern
[7:36]of a human being with mind that governs him and this is
[7:39]the human being is composed of two parts you have the physical
[7:44]aspect this is the body this body that was created from the
[7:46]earth material and then once the body is buried once a person
[7:51]dies this body disintegrates and it goes back into Earth it becomes
[7:55]soil nothing remains from this body it goes back to the Earth
[7:58]but there's another menion that gives this body the human life and
[8:04]the happiness and the emotions that you see exhibited within human being
[8:08]and that is the soul the soul is something completely different from
[8:13]the body and this is why when a person dies the soul
[8:18]separates from the body the soul leaves the body when a person
[8:21]dies the body will remain it will disintegrate as long as the
[8:25]soul is in the body the body does not disintegrate it remains
[8:28]alive it gives it that life it's on but as soon as
[8:32]the soul departs from the body this body goes back to the
[8:36]Earth you leave the body out for a few months a few
[8:38]years and you will see that the body will go disintegrate and
[8:41]it will go back into the Earth you go and you see
[8:43]several years later you will see that there's soil nothing is remaining
[8:49]from this person so he says then he blew into it out
[8:52]of his Spirit whereupon it took the pattern of a human being
[8:58]with mind that governs him so so a a a mind that
[9:10]governs the body so he says with a mind that governs him
[9:24]intelligence which he makes use of Limbs that serve him organs that
[9:31]change his position sagacity that differentiates between truth and untruth tastes and
[9:37]smells colors and spe species so what is it that has given
[9:44]the human being the soul and the livelihood where you're able to
[9:48]govern it with intelligence limbs that are able to move organs that
[9:52]change positions being able to distinguish between right and wrong taste and
[9:58]smell and color and species the this is the soul this is
[10:03]the the part the r that Allah subhana wa TAA has given
[10:05]the human being so then he says he's a mixture of Clays
[10:10]of different color cohesive material Divergent contradictories and different properties like heat
[10:21]cold softness and hardness grief and joy so he says that the
[10:25]human being comes in many you know colors many shapes many emot
[10:29]emotions this human being there are millions of emotions to describe the
[10:34]human being sometimes you're happy sometimes you're sad sometimes you're depressed sometimes
[10:39]you're annoyed these are all feelings that Allah subhana wa tala has
[10:43]given so he's describing it he is a mixture of mixture of
[10:48]Clays of different colors cohesive materials Divergent contradictories and different properties like
[10:54]heat cold softness hardness grief and joy all of that is placed
[10:59]in the human being and this is by itself this this is
[11:03]proof that Allah subhana wa tala is the creator because if we
[11:07]just came into existence like robots you wouldn't find people having different
[11:12]emotions different colors you don't find two people that are the same
[11:15]every individual is unique in their own way out of the billions
[11:21]and billions of people Everyone is unique in their own way so
[11:27]this is how is describing the creat of Adam who is the
[11:32]father and the first of the human beings the first of the
[11:39]homo sapiens our type of humans now here of course at the
[11:42]time of at the time that the Quran was revealed this topic
[11:47]did not emerge the topic of evolution finding fossils finding bones of
[11:55]creatures that looked like human beings but they they were they they
[12:00]they have discovered that these bones and these fossils existed for millions
[12:05]of years whereas we you know with our estimates Adam Adam the
[12:13]one that the Quran talks about was probably around 12,000 years ago
[12:17]12 13,000 years ago not more than that not in the millions
[12:19]of years this human race the homo sapiens we have been according
[12:26]to the quranic teaching and according to according to what even the
[12:31]biblical biblical teachings and others we have been here for probably around
[12:37]12,000 13,000 years so now what do you do with these fossils
[12:39]that we have found of these neanderthals and these creation that look
[12:45]similar to the human being but they're not the human being and
[12:51]they were here they were on Earth for millions of years 12
[12:55]M million years ago 50 million years ago so here we have
[13:00]a theory that is taught in the schools today that people always
[13:02]talk about and this is the theory of evolution darwinian Evolution and
[13:07]then we have creationism where we believe our religion tells us it
[13:13]was God who created Adam do these bump heads do these go
[13:16]hand inand with one another can we be individuals who believe in
[13:24]science and believe in the evolution and adaptation and at the same
[13:30]time accept the Quran my answer is yes we can the Islamic
[13:33]perspective does not contradict science it does not contradict reason it does
[13:37]not contradict the the um you know scientific facts Islam goes hand
[13:47]inand with knowledge with science and it does not contradict it we
[13:52]just need to you know take a pause we need to see
[13:57]where is what does science exactly say where is the the part
[14:01]and where's the factual part and we need to also understand what
[14:03]does the Quran actually say the Quran has many you know different
[14:09]types of tap different methods approaches of understanding what does the Quran
[14:12]actually say and what have the imams of the this is very
[14:18]important the of the Quran needs to go back to the so
[14:23]first of all Islam is pro-science and facts but we need to
[14:28]keep in mind that whatever science has discovered today is that 100%
[14:33]or whatever science is talking about today and scientists and biology class
[14:39]whatever they're telling you today is that 100% proven or not there
[14:42]are certain things that are proven there are certain things that are
[14:45]factual for example finding a fossil that was 12 million or 20
[14:53]million years ago that is proven you can't come and you know
[14:55]you can't come and argue that maybe a couple million years here
[15:00]and there but you can't come and say that this fossil was
[15:03]from 12,000 12,000 years ago it's much older than that this is
[15:07]one thing but then the problem is some people they come and
[15:13]they have a little bit of facts using science and they come
[15:16]and they build upon that a theory that is not yet proven
[15:20]and this is why it's called the theory of evolution and and
[15:25]then similarly this is one side the scientist needs to you know
[15:29]from that Dimension you need to kind of hold on and try
[15:32]to see where the truth is and where is it that we're
[15:37]just talking theories and the other side is Islamic knowledge just because
[15:40]I am not familiar with something or something that I don't know
[15:45]about doesn't mean that it necessarily did not exist for example we
[15:49]have several proofs from the Quran and Hadith from the that tell
[15:56]us that before our Adam Adam Our Father meaning 12,000 years ago
[16:00]the Adam that's described in the Quran the Adam that described in
[16:07]this verse in in this in the sermon before this Adam there
[16:10]were a million Adams meaning there were millions of generations there were
[16:15]groups of people Nations and people that lived and their race died
[16:22]and then another group PE of people came and the race died
[16:25]and another group of people and we are at the end the
[16:29]human being Accord according to the Hadith we are at the end
[16:32]where the day of judgment will come and that will be the
[16:38]end of life so here in according to the of this verse
[16:41]Surah 6 verse 133 and your lord is the free of need
[17:00]the possessor of Mercy if he Wills he can do away with
[17:07]you and give succession after you to whoever he Wills just as
[17:11]he produced you from the descendants of another people so here from
[17:18]this he says he could bring someone else after you just as
[17:23]you were the descendants of another group of people here this could
[17:26]be understood that we are the descendants of our parents and their
[17:30]grandparents and their grandparents others they understand it that no this is
[17:34]talking about a whole different race a whole different type of creation
[17:40]like you have the homo sapiens and then you have the Neanderthals
[17:43]and you have these different types of creation that existed also the
[17:50]regarding this verse chapter 50 verse 15 where Allah says did we
[18:03]fell in the first creation but they are in confusion over a
[18:07]new creation in the of this the fifth IM of he says
[18:32]he says yes what the companion was asking the IM he tells
[18:38]him is there another creation that that Allah subhana tala is saying
[18:43]there's another creation have have there been previous Creations he says yes
[18:56]excuse me Allah subh created 1,000 1,000 this means a million 1,000
[19:05]1,000 universes elf Adam and 1,000 1,000 meaning one million Adams Adam
[19:15]as meaning the father of creation and you are at the end
[19:27]you are the last of those of those worlds out of those
[19:31]Adam out of those who look like Adam and Adam meaning the
[19:36]one who's from the earth Adam so so others they were also
[19:40]created but we are the children of Adam and we are from
[19:46]the last of the creation so here according to the of imak
[19:50]there could be no problem with saying that there were neanderthals before
[19:53]and there were others because if you look at it if you
[19:58]look at the biblical perspective they say no first there was nothing
[20:01]and then all God created the heavens and the and the earth
[20:04]and the sky and it took him six days and then he
[20:07]got tired on the seventh day which of course we talked about
[20:09]that we said we don't agree with that God does not get
[20:14]tired out of creation and then they say that they say that
[20:18]um that Adam was the first Our Father Adam he was the
[20:24]first of the creation and nothing else existed Islam the Islamic perspective
[20:28]does not say that Islam perspective says there's nothing wrong with accepting
[20:35]that there were there were creation before Adam so here there's a
[20:40]problem did we evolve from the Neanderthals because they were if there
[20:45]were creation before Adam then we evolved and we kept evolving and
[20:48]evolving and evolving until the human be being the human race and
[20:53]this is what the theory of evolution says it says you slowly
[20:55]started evolving until the human being evolved into what the human being
[20:58]being is right now so what do we say about Adam being
[21:03]created Adam the one who's mentioned in the Quran being created by
[21:06]Allah subhana wa tala and God created him and gave him from
[21:12]the soul and the angels prostrating to Adam here I've heard some
[21:18]Scholars one some of the one of the grand Scholars a he's
[21:21]a very big scholar in the in the realm of Science and
[21:25]in the realm of Islamic Studies his reasoning and the scholar was
[21:35]say alab who was a big scholar I'm sure many of you
[21:38]have heard his heard of him I asked him this question he
[21:42]said there's a possibility he said there's a possibility that Adam the
[21:47]one who was created by Allah subhah wa ta'ala and just like
[21:51]all of them were created by Allah but Adam the one who
[21:55]the Quran talks about that Allah created him and told the angels
[21:59]to prostrate to him Adam's creation came in the middle while there
[22:05]were other creations before him however there was a leap there was
[22:10]a leap into the human race and that was the creation of
[22:17]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala just as Jesus was created how was Jesus
[22:20]created Jesus did not have a father but Jesus was created while
[22:27]there were humans before him that looked like him but but Allah
[22:31]subhana wa tala created and then the race continues so this could
[22:35]be a possibility that let Evolution take place at the same time
[22:38]but in the middle or as the evolution process was was going
[22:44]on Allah placed Adam and Adam was created in the complete form
[22:47]because we have the only reason why we believe this is because
[22:51]the Quran tells us the Quran tells us that Allah created Adam
[22:57]and Allah brought Adam from the heavens down to the Earth so
[23:00]we don't negate the fact that there were other creation before Adam
[23:04]there were every million of every millions of years they would evolve
[23:09]but this last Adam that the Quran is talking about this Adam
[23:13]was brought in by Allah subhana just as Jesus was created through
[23:18]a process that was different but he was also a human being
[23:24]just like all of the other human beings so this is regarding
[23:27]the creation of Adam now Allah subhana wa T created Adam and
[23:33]then continues to talk about how Allah ordered the angels to do
[23:44]to Adam to prostrate to Adam he says then Allah asked the
[24:12]angels to fulfill his promise with them and to accomplish the pledge
[24:16]of his injunction to them by acknowledging him through prostration to him
[24:23]and submission to his honored position so Allah subhah wa tala has
[24:29]a covenant with the Angels the Angels do not disobey Allah subhana
[24:32]wa tala and they do anything Allah subhana wa tala orders them
[24:36]to do therefore Allah tells the angels to prostrate to Adam so
[24:43]he tells them prostrate to Adam Allah orders the Angels do suud
[24:51]to Adam so they prostrated except so why did he not so
[25:24]Allah ordered the angels to do sujud to Adam they all did
[25:30]sujud except Shan then he says why because out of self self-importance
[25:37]withheld him and vice overcame him so that he took pride in
[25:42]his own Creation With Fire he said I am created out of
[25:48]fire and Adam is created out of soil I am better fire
[25:54]is better than soil so therefore he refused to do suud to
[25:57]Adam and he refused to obey Allah subhana so and he says
[26:04]self-importance uh withheld him and vice overcame him so that he took
[26:09]pride in his own Creation with fire and treated contemptuously the creation
[26:13]of clay he looked down and this was the first sin the
[26:19]first sin in the creation was the where someone was arrogant and
[26:23]full of Pride where he saw himself better than anyone else so
[26:31]Allah allowed him time in order to let him fully deserve his
[26:34]wrath so here why did Allah subhah wa tala keep Adam why
[26:41]did Allah not punish Adam excuse me why did Allah keep and
[26:44]not punish him right away he says he says the reasons he
[26:50]says so Allah allowed him time in order to let him fully
[26:52]deserve his wrath because the wrath of Allah doesn't come quick Allah
[27:00]will give time for someone to change path to change their lifestyle
[27:05]but then if they don't then the full wrath will come so
[27:11]he gave him time and to complete man's test the second reason
[27:14]is because the human being is tested so Allah keeps Satan so
[27:22]that we are tested through Satan and to fulfill the promise he
[27:25]had made to Satan thus he said very you have been allowed
[27:31]time till the known day Allah subhana wa ta'ala allowed Satan to
[27:41]continue so we will talk about this we will go into this
[27:46]in more detail first of all why did Allah subhah wa taala
[27:48]order the angels to do suud to Adam aren't we supposed to
[27:54]do suud only to Allah subhana wa tala isn't the whole message
[27:57]of Islam and the whole message of all of the prophets is
[28:02]that we don't do sh and we worship The One and Only
[28:04]God so here Scholars have given different uh reasonings as to why
[28:14]Allah ordered the angels and amongst them who was not an angel
[28:18]According to some opinions he was an angel that turned against the
[28:22]angels and according to another opinion was that he was he was
[28:28]a Jin created from fire a different type of creation but he
[28:34]was such a worshipper that he was amongst the Angels he was
[28:38]with the angels in that high rank even he says in one
[28:43]of his SAS it lasted over 6,000 years he was a worshipper
[28:46]was not a person who was always against God it was this
[28:51]mistake that brought him away from Allah it was his arrogance and
[28:54]his pride and this is why arrogance and Pride is very dangerous
[28:57]for a person to have even if you're a person who prays
[29:02]and fasts and you're a very good believer so one of the
[29:05]reasonings Scholars say is that it was a symbol of respect and
[29:11]not meant to be worshiping Adam it was your respecting the creation
[29:16]of Allah subhanahu waala Abu Bas one of the companions of Imad
[29:22]he says he says he says did the Angels do actual by
[29:36]placing their forehead on the earth the IM he says it was
[29:45]to honor the creation of Allah subhah wa tala for the sake
[29:52]of honoring the creation of Allah subhana T and Adam was the
[29:54]most complete and as we mentioned the Hadith that there were elf
[29:57]Adam there was 1,000 1,000 Adams and 1,000 1,000 creation and Adam
[30:05]our Adam the Adam that as mentioned in the Quran is the
[30:08]last one and therefore the most complete the most complete due to
[30:12]the intellect the most complete due to free choice the most complete
[30:16]due to Muhammad Muhammad as we will point out we have Hadith
[30:20]that Adam the Angels were ordered to do suud to him because
[30:27]in the loins of Adam was and and therefore becoming the honored
[30:35]and the most honored of the creation Allah says in the Quran
[30:40]we have honored and dignified the children of Adam one of the
[30:47]most important reasons why the human race has been dignified is because
[30:53]and are in amongst this race so opinion says that the suud
[31:02]was in fact to God to Allah subhana wa tala and Adam
[31:05]was the just like the Kaa today when we pray towards the
[31:09]Kaa we're not doing suud to the Kaa we're not worshiping The
[31:12]Rock and the stone of the Kaa we're worshiping Allah subhana tala
[31:19]and the Kaa is the is the direction of the prayer so
[31:22]if you want to reach Allah you have to reach Allah through
[31:27]doing suud and honoring the creation of Allah subhah wa tala a
[31:33]third opinion says that the prostration the suud was to Adam but
[31:37]it is by the order of Allah subhah wa tala and that's
[31:41]a form of worship if God tells you to do to do
[31:45]suud to Adam you do to Adam because when you're you're not
[31:49]doing it by following what Adam is telling you to do you're
[31:54]doing it by following what Allah subhana tala and that is what
[31:57]worship is worship by definition is obeying the orders and commands of
[32:01]Allah subhana tala when you obey the command of Allah even if
[32:06]it's something that you're reason and your logic sees that it doesn't
[32:09]make sense but you're doing it and we do a lot of
[32:13]these for example when we go to Haj we go to Haj
[32:14]we have to circumambulate we have to walk around the Kaa seven
[32:19]times and then we have to go and run between two mountains
[32:21]sa and seven times some people they're like this doesn't make sense
[32:27]why do I have to do this because God told us to
[32:29]because Allah subhana wa tala orderers to and that is the that
[32:36]is worship in itself whatever God tells us to do we have
[32:38]to do a lot of people they have the habit of asking
[32:43]why this and why that this is a lower level of Faith
[32:45]once you reach the highest levels of Faith you submit to whatever
[32:49]God has told you to do if Allah tells you to do
[32:51]this you go and you do it so IM he says he
[33:02]describes the scene where he tells Allah oh Allah don't you know
[33:08]give me an excuse so that I don't have to do sujud
[33:10]to Adam and I will worship you in a way that not
[33:25]even the closest of the angels have worshiped you in that way
[33:30]meaning and mik and and is those close Angels they have not
[33:38]worshiped you in that way so he wants to strike a deal
[33:40]with God he wants to make a transaction with Allah he says
[33:45]just excuse me from doing to Adam and I will worship you
[33:49]in a way that none of the angels have worshiped you not
[33:54]even an angel and not even a prophet that was sent as
[34:01]a messenger by Allah so then Allah replied to him Allah tells
[34:07]him I don't need your worship I don't need your then Allah
[34:19]tells him I don't need your worship what you are thinking as
[34:23]a as a type of worship and you come and you worship
[34:24]me in that way I want to be worshiped the way I
[34:29]want want to be worshiped not the way you want to worship
[34:33]but he did not he he refused he kept refusing to do
[34:41]suud to Adam sometimes we have transactions with God the way it
[34:46]believed us we say oh Allah let me not do this let
[34:49]me not pray let me not fast let me not go to
[34:53]Hajj let me not wear hijab let me not do this but
[34:54]then I will go and I will do something else that's not
[34:57]how religion works religion works when we abide by the laws of
[35:01]Allah subhana T and this is how laws of this life work
[35:05]if you're applying for a university you're applying for a job and
[35:08]they tell you we need X Y and Z in your resume
[35:11]we need this and you come and you bring them ABC you
[35:15]bring them something else that they didn't ask for that's not what
[35:19]they're asking for some people they do that one year they go
[35:22]and they disobey Allah then the next year they come and they
[35:27]want to come and fix things that's not how it Works Allah
[35:30]says worship me the way I want to be worshiped I dictate
[35:35]the way I want to be worshiped not you in another a
[35:46]non-believer z means someone who rejects God ask IM sad he tells
[35:53]him he tells him is it possible that someone does is it
[35:59]right for someone to do suud to anyone other than God then
[36:05]IM he says no suud can't be done other than to Allah
[36:07]subhana then that non-believer he tells him then how did God order
[36:18]the angels to do sud to Adam he says he says in
[36:38]fact the suud was to God because it was by the order
[36:43]of Allah subhah wa ta'ala so his prostration was actually a prostration
[36:47]to Allah subhana tala because it was by the order of Allah
[36:50]so this is why Allah subhah wa ta'ala ordered ordered uh the
[37:00]Ang and amongst them at that time to do to Adam now
[37:03]why did God allow Satan to carry on if Satan is bad
[37:11]if he's evil why did God let him carry on so that
[37:16]he fools us and he tricks us and we and we suffer
[37:20]as a result of Satan continues to live if he's bad if
[37:23]he's evil shouldn't God you know take him away here some of
[37:28]this he answers in in this at the end he he answers
[37:32]some of this he [Music] says some of them are answered by
[37:49]others they're answered by um Scholars here and there so among some
[37:52]of the reasons why Allah subhah wa taala allowed Satan to continue
[37:56]living is the just of Allah subhana tala Allah is Allah is
[38:03]just at the end of the day God just because disobeyed him
[38:07]once had worshiped Allah subhah wa tala had worshiped so Allah is
[38:16]not going to give Heaven and the but Allah will allow to
[38:20]carry on in this short temporal life even though this life in
[38:26]our eyes it's probably gone for Millions billions of years but for
[38:32]Allah subhana wa tala all of this is nothing compared to Eternity
[38:36]the so Allah subhah tala says you live you continue living in
[38:41]this short life that will come to an end and you will
[38:46]meet your fate and the Eternal afterlife which is for eternity which
[38:50]is Everlasting that is where you will face your punishment and this
[38:56]is Justice from Allah because Satan used to work worship Allah subhana
[39:00]tal Satan used to obey God and he was one of the
[39:01]closest of worshippers so therefore Allah subhana has to be just with
[39:08]him and compensate him just as Allah compensates some of the kufar
[39:12]in this life we sometimes we see some of those people who
[39:14]are horrible people but they're living comfortably and they enjoy the blessings
[39:19]of this dun and they have same things so sometimes some of
[39:22]the they say why is it that God allows them to continue
[39:27]living Allah subana allows them to continue living perhaps because they did
[39:32]some good in this life we have a Hadith it says that
[39:36]Pharaoh during the time of MSA he used to because he used
[39:44]to regard himself as God so he used to feed people every
[39:47]day every day he used to slaughter hundreds of sheep he used
[39:54]to slaughter every day 365 sheep because he used to regard himself
[39:59]as God so he says I have to feed my people so
[40:03]then his ministers here and there they came and they told him
[40:08]why are you feeding these people they don't need to be fed
[40:10]so he said what am I supposed to do just stop feeding
[40:14]them they're going to rebel against me he tells him no every
[40:17]day Slaughter one less sheep so you were slaughtering 365 then now
[40:24]Slaughter 364 the next day 363 then 36 2 continue going lower
[40:32]and lower the Hadith says that by the time reached the last
[40:36]day where he did not slaughter a single sheep to feed people
[40:40]that was the day Allah subhana taala punished him and that was
[40:45]the day he died because that time before he was feeding people
[40:48]he was doing some good maybe some people were some hungry people
[40:53]some empty stomachs were being fed as a result of remaining alive
[41:01]once he stopped then there was the justice of Allah had already
[41:03]been met Allah kept them alive as long as he was doing
[41:08]this good once that good stopped then he died and he left
[41:10]this life so this is one reason Allah subhah wa ta'ala is
[41:16]Allah is just another very important reason is the test of Allah
[41:21]he will meet his his consequences but Allah subhana wa tala created
[41:28]us so that we are tested Allah wants to test us so
[41:30]if Allah subhana wa T wants to test us how is Allah
[41:33]going to test us he's going to tast test us with struggles
[41:35]here and there and by the way it's not always Shan that's
[41:41]fooling us sometimes it's our own desires it's not Sometimes some people
[41:48]they do and they say they always blame it on Shan no
[41:53]sometimes you're worse than Shan not you of course sometimes people we
[42:00]do things that are worse thananan has nothing to do with it
[42:06]so so um the purpose is Allah subhah wa tala wants to
[42:09]test us and Allah subhah wa tala says in Allah created life
[42:28]and death or death and life to test you who out of
[42:33]you has better Deeds so we are tested in this life and
[42:36]this is one of the philosophy of creation so that we are
[42:41]tested so this is why Allah subhana tala kept around because Allah
[42:45]tests us with one another sometimes I'm tested through my parents I'm
[42:50]tested through my children I'm tested with my neighbor I'm tested with
[42:53]my family member every single one of us is tested in one
[42:57]way or another so when sometimes when you're going through a difficulty
[43:01]in life don't just immediately come and say you know what this
[43:04]is something I'm going to quit and I don't want this no
[43:08]perhaps this is the way that God is testing so we have
[43:13]to take every test that we have in life very seriously the
[43:17]third reason is Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala favored Adam because he was
[43:23]complete so God kept Satan to prove to Adam that at the
[43:28]end righteousness will prevail why does Allah sub why did Allah keep
[43:32]Satan Satan rejected Adam Satan refused to do to Adam Satan looked
[43:39]down at Adam I am better than him Allah subhah wa ta'ala
[43:46]tells him okay you wait and you will see who's better the
[43:51]one who has the intellect the one who has choice and the
[43:54]one who makes the right choices that is the better person and
[43:59]of course this here it also has to do with the and
[44:00]the of Muhammad Muhammad that was in the loins of Adam which
[44:07]is the greatest of creation and therefore that is why Allah subhanahu
[44:11]wa taala allowed Satan to remain so that he sees the consequences
[44:16]and we also have a concept inshallah maybe another time or maybe
[44:21]we could find it in the words of the concept of the
[44:26]the return where before the day of judgment Allah will bring some
[44:30]of the criminals some of the criminals some of the bad people
[44:34]who did horrible things Allah will bring them back okay see now
[44:39]the now the just state has been established right now we're living
[44:50]in a time where we say there's no justice there's no justice
[44:53]it's all suffering no the promise of Allah subhana wa tala says
[44:57]in the Quran that at the End of Time justice will prevail
[45:02]so Allah will keep some of the evil people among them among
[45:05]them some of the bad people who stood against the prophets and
[45:10]The Messengers and the imams they will come back so that Allah
[45:13]shows them see not not only in the in the they will
[45:18]see their consequences and you will see your consequences of your actions
[45:22]but even in this life righteousness will prevail so these are some
[45:26]of the reasons why Allah subhana wa ta'ala kept Adam now Adam
[45:30]is in Paradise So Adam was created the Angels do suud refuses
[45:37]to do sujud Allah K kicks out of his mercy and El
[45:43]makes a vow that he will bring as many people as he
[45:46]can from the children of Adam away from Allah subhana tala Allah
[45:51]tells him you do what you want and whoever follows you then
[45:53]they will be with you in the and whoever follows the logic
[45:57]and the truth and The Messengers and the wisdom that we have
[46:01]sent and the books then those people will be saved so he
[46:42]says thereafter Allah inhabited Adam peace be upon him in a house
[46:51]where he made his life Pleasant here describes it as so in
[46:58]a pleasant life in a place that was very comfortable and his
[47:02]stay his stay safe he was very safe it wasn't like this
[47:05]life where there are dangers and there's so much stress and he
[47:09]cautioned him of el and his enmity Allah tells him there's you
[47:14]have one enemy and that's El and he's going to try to
[47:18]fool you he's going to try to bring you away from Allah
[47:21]subhah wa ta'ala then his enemy El envied his abiding in paradise
[47:26]and his contact with The Virtuous so he changed his conviction into
[47:33]wavering and determination into weakness he thus converted his happiness into fear
[47:40]and his Prestige into shame El came and destroyed the life of
[47:45]Adam Why by telling him eat from the tree he made him
[47:49]eat from the tree and and Allah subhanahu wa tala as a
[47:56]result of eating from the tree some people According to some of
[47:59]our Hadith it was meaning wheat a wheat tree others they say
[48:04]it was a fruit different different we have different narrations regarding this
[48:10]the Quran does not talk about this but the important point is
[48:13]that there was a tree that he was not supposed to eat
[48:17]from but he went and he ate from because fooled him came
[48:20]and tells him eat from that tree of course and Shan are
[48:26]the same Shan is referred to anyone who does anyone who does
[48:30]bad they call him Shan sometimes we call our kids Shan because
[48:32]they do if they're naughty so is the name is the name
[48:43]of the that Jin who refused to do suud to Adam so
[48:47]Allah subhana tala tells him sometimes the Quran uses sometimes the word
[48:56]is used sometimes is used Allah tells him this is the Quran
[49:04]these are not the words of this is in the Quran Allah
[49:06]tells him oh Adam live with your wife with your partner in
[49:22]Paradise in this comfortable place eat from any everything only refrain from
[49:31]this one tree you will be amongst the wrongdoers he came and
[49:56]he fooled them he began to whisper in their ears and their
[49:59]hearts but Satan whispered to them to make apparent to them that
[50:06]which was concealed from them of their private part so he removed
[50:10]that protection that they had he said your Lord did not forbid
[50:13]you the tree except that you become Angels or become of the
[50:19]Immortals so he tells them if your lord does not want you
[50:21]to eat from the street because if you do you'll become immortal
[50:26]and you will become me angel or Immortal so they first rejected
[50:35]they said no Allah ordered us here he did something where Adam
[50:43]Adam was the first creation Adam hasn't seen deceit Adam hasn't seen
[50:49]you know anyone people fooling one another so here Allah says so
[50:56]he swore by Allah to them indeed I am to you from
[51:03]among the sincere advisers Adam is never seen anyone SW swear by
[51:07]the name of God and lie so he got fooled and this
[51:12]is the human nature we get fooled sometimes sometimes it's not out
[51:16]of ill intent and Adam he did not have ill intent Adam
[51:21]got fooled Adam got tricked and the reason why he got tricked
[51:24]was because Satan swore by Allah subhana tala he swore to them
[51:35]Adam never thought that anyone is going to swear in the name
[51:38]of Allah and lie Allah subhana tells them so he made them
[52:13]fall through deception so they ate from the tree and when they
[52:19]tasted of the tree their private parts be became apparent to them
[52:22]so apparently in that place that they were they were clothed they
[52:26]were covered but as a result of eating and disobeying Allah they
[52:32]became vulnerable vulnerable to the heat to the cold because in the
[52:35]sermon says they were protected and their private parts began to show
[52:42]and they began to cover themselves with the leaves of paradise and
[52:49]their lord called to them did I not forbid you from that
[52:51]tree and tell you that Satan is to you a clear enemy
[52:56]so this is how uh Adam got tricked now did Adam commit
[52:59]a sin when he ate from the tree we believe that the
[53:04]prophets of Allah do not commit sins because they're sent to guide
[53:07]people how can Allah subhana tala send someone who's supposed to guide
[53:13]us and this person makes mistakes yes Scholars say it could be
[53:19]maybe there's good and better he did not do the better it
[53:22]could be it could be a meaning that the order of not
[53:29]not eating from the tree was not a legal order meaning that
[53:32]you it's Haram for you to eat from the tree it's like
[53:36]when the doctor tells you don't smoke if you smoke you're going
[53:38]to have bad Health you tell the doctor are you going to
[53:40]punish me if I smoke doctor says no I don't care do
[53:44]whatever you want to do I'm telling you what's better for you
[53:48]if you want to remain healthy don't eat from the tree don't
[53:52]don't smoke don't smoke from the tree so as what a lot
[53:57]of people are doing these these days so um here Allah subhana
[54:01]waa tells Adam don't eat from the tree if you want to
[54:06]remain in the safe place but if you don't want to remain
[54:08]in the safe place then you eat from the tree you will
[54:13]go down to earth so it wasn't a legal ruling and another
[54:16]opinion says that they were not even in the in the paradise
[54:20]were they in the paradise of this D or in the the
[54:25]Eternal Paradise because how could make it in that paradise that paradise
[54:29]close to Allah subhana tala and was already kicked out so they
[54:33]say that the place where Adam was it was not on Earth
[54:37]and it was not in that paradise that is the Eternal Paradise
[54:40]it was somewhere in between where there were no orders of Allah
[54:44]subhana wa tala Adam was not ordered to start praying and fasting
[54:49]and and doing all of the legal obligations he was not in
[54:52]this realm in the dun as of yet after he ate from
[54:57]the he came down to this and we mentioned regarding Evolution where
[55:01]it's okay to believe that there were neanderthals and there were others
[55:07]but Allah subhana T placed Adam at that point where we believe
[55:11]around 12,000 years ago that's when Adam came now inshallah in the
[55:15]next uh the next session next week we will continue then Allah
[55:24]subhana tala taught Adam certain words words that it was through those
[55:29]words Adam repented to Allah subhana wa tala what were those words
[55:33]what did Adam say that Allah subhah wa ta'ala forgave him as
[55:40]a result of those words inshallah we will continue this in the
[55:44]next week next session that we have we're going to talk about
[55:48]how Allah accepted the Toba of Adam and what did Adam say
[55:54]what do the Sunni and Sh say and then we will move
[55:58]on to talk about the Haj and the sending of the prophets
[56:03]and The Messengers I'll give you one hint he did in Muhammad
[56:07]Muhammad this is according to one of our uh some of our
[56:10]Hadith accepted by Sunni and Shia Scholars that one of the things
[56:16]that he did was he asked Allah by the love and the
[56:18]honor and position of Muhammad muham muham
