[1:13]people sending in theam questions which me and aliash discuss and give

[1:17]them their answers my show is her thoughts which is a show

[1:22]featuring a rotating panel of female presenters discussing a range of topics

[1:26]from a female perspective versus of Love aims to be the postmus

[1:30]m it tries to bring the community together to continue engaging with

[1:35]the I've had the honor of working and directing and producing documentaries

[1:39]for the Imam Hussein TV 3 channel so the Late Night show

[1:44]is essentially it's a talk show I had guests all the way

[1:48]from self-development experts media experts sales directors my show live in London

[1:52]it needs no introduction with world renowned scholar Dr sayar nwani sometimes

[1:56]it's difficult for us to do the research it takes us sometimes

[2:00]a week two weeks to find answers for certain questions sometimes the

[2:02]questions don't even get answered and we have to roll them on

[2:04]until next week but I guess this is a problem that is

[2:06]actually you know a good headache and worth having one of the

[2:11]main difficulties which we come across is um getting female participants to

[2:13]participate on the show after the show when we get the emails

[2:18]coming through from the woman um in our society and our community

[2:20]and it really shows us that women relate more to a female

[2:25]speaker among some of the difficulties I'd say is the late nights

[2:28]with a pretty hectic schedule for all the reciters who have come

[2:30]from one or two malalis beforehand sometimes you just have this magical

[2:33]moment where the reciter says a line that connects and lets you

[2:39]release all of that emotion which helps you connect with abdah and

[2:43]therefore with Allah subhana wa tala I filmed these documentaries during Co

[2:47]that always stays with me because I think that was a difficulty

[2:50]that I thought I will face yet I think IM husse opened

[2:55]so many doors and made everything so easy for me how much

[2:57]can we laugh and joke on an Islamic Channel especially when the

[3:00]channel is associated to IM Hussein Alam but the best part of

[3:03]the show is actually it's the fun part of it so that's

[3:05]that's the games the best thing about this show you can actually

[3:09]speak and discuss and actually voice their opinions and questions to Dr

[3:14]Sayan awani we've come so far yet still have so much more

[3:17]to achieve support us so that we can support your children in

[3:22]bringing them more knowledge and content because Imam husin TV is your

[3:57]the most merciful all prais is Je to the Lord master of

[4:02]all the worlds and peace and blessings be on All His prophets

[4:08]and especially the final Prophet The Prophet Muhammad s my respected brothers

[4:16]and sisters one of the most important discussions shared by both Sunni

[4:25]and Shia Muslims around the world today and since the very beginning

[4:28]of the religion of Islam is the discussion concerning the or IM

[4:36]if you look throughout the literature of the Sunni and the Shia

[4:42]schools you'll see that there is somewhat of a common denominator in

[4:47]terms of the role of IM that what you hear in many

[4:55]of our lectures can also be seen in Sunni literature naturally yes

[5:00]like any area there might be points of difference there might be

[5:06]differences in relation to for example whether IM is born or not

[5:12]born yet there might even be differences concerning some of the titles

[5:18]associated with IM Ali the reality is that the discussion concerning IM

[5:24]Al mam is mainly discussed in the Shia world that's not to

[5:31]deny that the Sunni doesn't have lectures or discussions on IM but

[5:35]as if every time one of the discusses IMI he wants to

[5:43]make sure that everybody knows that the M being discussed is not

[5:46]the sh one we know that as sh we celebrate the birth

[5:54]of IM on the night of the 15th of shaan we know

[5:58]that we have a number of supplications related to the hastening of

[6:03]the reappearance of the Imam many of you would have recited supplications

[6:07]which are attributed to the to the scholars of the to the

[6:14]companions of the which discuss in one way or the other the

[6:18]prayer for a government which will bring Justice and remove Injustice many

[6:22]of you will have recited in this holy month of Ramadan a

[6:27]number of supplications where you seek to be amongst those who are

[6:30]with the MDI because whether you're Sunni or you're Shia you believe

[6:34]that the Mahi is one of the leaders who is chosen by

[6:41]Allah subhah wa taala to help bring Victory to the religion of

[6:44]Islam but what I've noticed in the mindset of a number of

[6:47]groups of the non Shia is that they're always thinking about the

[6:54]sh and their love and their position about IM rather than looking

[7:01]for the common denominators in relation to IM Al we'll play this

[7:05]clip and you'll see how this speaker having spoken about Imam for

[7:11]a few minutes all of a sudden turns to the fact that

[7:14]whatever you do don't get affected by the Shia when it comes

[7:20]to thei play clip number one one of the 12 leaders that

[7:22]is entirely different than what the Shia believe in the Shia believe

[7:26]that these imams are infallible infallible and they believe that al- Mahi

[7:34]is somebody who was born 500 years ago he entered into a

[7:37]sardab or a Fisher or a cave and he disappeared after his

[7:42]father was killed and he's been disappearing and hiding so they believe

[7:46]that he's he's alive and he's been living for the past 500

[7:49]years or so and his name is Muhammad asari that is entirely

[7:57]refused by and none of the traits of Al that the prophet

[8:01]s apply to him or to the 12 uh leaders whom the

[8:04]Shia believe in I hope this is clear uh it's actually not

[8:08]500 years ago but about 1,000 now and what number we're looking

[8:19]at around nearly now 1,200 years in relation to our love and

[8:29]our belief in IM 500 years ago I don't know where you

[8:35]got that one from you might be talking about another M altogether

[8:37]and the Mahi didn't disappear in some cave let's be very clear

[8:41]about that yes some people might hear some Shia talking about a

[8:46]basement or a sell but we don't believe Imam Ali disappeared in

[8:48]some cave that's got nothing to do with our teachings whatsoever and

[8:53]for you to say that the Shia believe in him as an

[8:59]infallible Imam yes we're very proud to believe that there is a

[9:01]line of 12 as we had discussed in previous lectures and that

[9:03]he is the 12th of the 12 now someone might turn around

[9:07]to me and say but you know the Shia belief is a

[9:10]bit far-fetched on the first level you believe in a man who

[9:14]you cannot see and I look in the Quran and I say

[9:18]to every Muslim that even in the Quran Allah subhah wa ta'ala

[9:21]had mentioned that belief in the Unseen is one of the signs

[9:26]of who is one of the signs of those who are conscious

[9:28]of Allah's presence the M are referred to as people who believe

[9:34]in the Unseen we know that every Muslim has never seen Allah

[9:37]subhana wa taala yet still believes the Lord exists in the Quran

[9:42]if we come to the Quran all of you know the Ayah

[9:43]which really a person does not need to even repeat within the

[9:50]Holy Quran because it is so well known by the Muslim world

[9:54]at the beginning ofak Allah subhana waala makes it clear if we

[10:02]look at this Ayah of the Holy Quran you'll see that Allah

[10:08]subhana wa tala begins if we can zoom into this [Music] Ayah

[10:21]this is the book there is no doubt in it being the

[10:25]word of God it is a guidance for the pious ones who

[10:29]believe in the Unseen automatically when someone says to me that how

[10:34]could you believe in the Unseen on the first level as a

[10:39]Muslim the very base of my belief is that I did not

[10:40]see Allah with my eyes but rather I saw Allah with my

[10:44]intellect with my heart being opened up to understand the Lord and

[10:47]the signs of the Lord secondly I believe that IM even if

[10:53]he is an occultation is not the only creation of God who

[10:58]has been in occultation this whole period Muslims believe that Prophet Jesus

[11:03]is also an occultation when we look in the Quran again where

[11:07]Muslims do not believe that Christ was the one who was crucified

[11:13]but rather as the Quran makes it clear in Surah four of

[11:16]the holy book from verse 157 onwards the Quran tells us very

[11:21]clearly that as you could all see in this verse they said

[11:38]that we have killed the Messiah Jesus Son of Mary the Apostle

[11:42]of God they did not kill him nor did they crucify him

[11:48]but it became juus unto them and then it comes back a

[11:55]few lines later look what it says and certainly they did not

[12:00]kill him what does the Quran say Allah raised him up to

[12:11]himself as Muslims therefore when a person wants to discuss the Shia

[12:17]conception of the M on the first level we as Muslims believe

[12:22]in the Unseen there are many creations of God that we do

[12:24]not see I don't see Angels but I believe in them I

[12:29]don't seean but my Lord Lord we certainly believe in him I

[12:32]don't see the Jin but they're certainly present so all of these

[12:38]are beliefs in the Unseen when someone says how do you believe

[12:40]in a human being who's living amongst you who you cannot see

[12:46]the night of Hijra when left his house because the wanted to

[12:51]kill him did any of those humans see a human who was

[12:56]amongst them was amongst them but they didn't see him Allah if

[13:01]he wants to Blind someone says but you are you telling me

[13:15]that you believe in a man who's 1,200 years old or whatever

[13:19]his age is at the end of the day you are the

[13:22]same Muslim who believes in and God knows how old Shan is

[13:28]now but everyone believes he exist exists and everyone believes he has

[13:32]the capability of whispering that which is bad so anyway generally speaking

[13:37]these arguments normally are given where the Shia live rentree even though

[13:43]the Muslims should come together in their understanding of the M especially

[13:47]with what we see now in the Middle East the Middle East

[13:53]very much relates to our understanding of the medi where we see

[13:57]all Muslims trying to come together seeing people who are facing trials

[14:01]and tribulations and oppression and difficulties and we pray for all of

[14:05]those but there is a need for us to understand the M

[14:09]more than ever before Jerusalem has a role with the MDI meca

[14:11]has a role with MDI Medina has a role with the Mahi

[14:14]Iraq has a role of M Syria has a role with the

[14:18]Mahi and that's why when I look in Sunni literature I find

[14:22]IMI is all over Sunni literature IM is not just in Shia

[14:30]literature but when one looks in Sunni literature one finds that many

[14:34]of the things that we believe in in the Shia school can

[14:40]be found in the Sunni school regarding IM amongst them for example

[14:45]which we could always go to is something which can be seen

[14:51]in ouri literature and maybe more so in Sun Hadi literature and

[14:55]that is the discussions about the is often associated with IM people

[15:07]talk about the signs of the day of judgment and the D

[15:12]the signs of the end times and the D and when you

[15:14]look within sah Muslim you will see my dear brothers and sisters

[15:23]very clearly the discussion of who of the inah Muslim come with

[15:26]me over here and you'll see from the beginning the discussion of

[26:16]of Mary will shortly descend amongst you Muslims and will judge mankind

[26:20]justly by the law of the Quran as a just ruler he

[26:23]will break the cross and kill the pigs and there will be

[26:30]no taxation taken from the non-muslims money will be in abundance so

[26:34]that nobody will accept it and a single prostration to Allah will

[26:37]be better than the whole world and whatever is in it then

[26:41]you see at 3449 very interesting Hadith you see over here what

[26:48]does it say how will you be when the son of Mary

[27:01]descends amongst you and the leader will be one of you who's

[27:07]that leader who will lead him in Salah IM therefore is mentioned

[27:16]within the literature that he will returnal is also going to be

[27:25]around and he's always been around according to sah Muslim so now

[27:29]we havea is there is there if these were only in Shia

[27:35]books people would say you Shia only believe no we sh believe

[27:37]in the return of Jesus alongside IM Al we believe and the

[27:43]system of D will be the arch enemies of Imam we also

[27:48]believe my dear brothers and sisters that there are signs for IMI

[28:00]the Sunan of Abu da volume four Hadith number 3242 to 435

[28:59]the of Ali I'm amazed that Muslims all of them in their

[29:06]literature have all this about IM and there's not enough discussions between

[29:08]them on a daily basis about that's very sad sometimes even in

[29:13]our own communities we are saddened that we have for example these

[29:18]wonderful books sometimes I see these books in front of me like

[29:21]for example here if you look at this book The occultation of

[29:26]yes all of you could see it there's many people who have

[29:30]never read it from the Shia Community sometimes you have here for

[29:33]example his book of occultation yes this book which I on the

[29:41]prophet Muhammad Institute in my Institute I had a course on this

[29:44]book where I opened up the book to discuss the different arguments

[29:51]that shi replied to or refuted or posited even concerning and many

[29:56]in our communities have not bothered to open books on IM likewise

[30:00]in the Sunni Community there was a period where people when Hamza

[30:06]y was discussing and he discussed Al the signs of the day

[30:10]of judgment that was one of the periods where people started to

[30:14]look and then people started to see more discussions on IMI and

[30:20]people were intrigued when they even saw that on YouTube there was

[30:26]the arrival series about 15 years ago and then when they saw

[30:29]the Rivals took people towards the IMs of they said straight away

[30:32]this is a sh thing we don't want ultimately all of us

[30:36]have to study what are the works on IM because IMI could

[30:39]end up without a doubt being your leader and my leader under

[31:59]name of Z said in the Hadith Allah would lengthen that day

[32:04]until he sent a man who is of me look at the

[32:09]words of same as my name and whose father's name is the

[32:12]same as my father's name he will fill the world with fairness

[32:15]and Justice as it was filled with wrongdoing and Injustice in the

[32:21]Hadith of sufyan this world will not cease or will not end

[32:23]until the Arabs are ruled by a man from my family whose

[32:28]name is the same as mine his name is the same as

[32:37]mine what's Al's name Muhammad what's IM M's name Muhammad in the

[32:40]Sunni school and the Shia School sometimes there are differences for example

[32:44]about his father's name that's not a problem I'm not really here

[32:47]to try and dissect the literature of is his father's name Abdullah

[32:50]is it alassan is his lineage from IM Hassan is it from

[32:55]IM Hussein the irony is that ultimately he will be from the

[32:57]sons of father from the line of Hass or Hussein we could

[33:01]have sorted all that out 1400 years ago you continue over here

[33:16]Allah would send a man from my family who would fill it
