[1:13]the numbers displayed now on your [Music] screen in the name of
[1:31]God God the most beneficent the most merciful indeed my dear brothers
[1:52]and sisters all of us have a particular Affinity with the revelation
[1:57]of the Quran indeed these nights are the nights where we gain
[2:00]a close to the Quran we recognize of course the value of
[2:05]the verses of at the same time we recognize the first revelation
[2:10]That Came Upon Our holy prophet Muhammad s which was of course
[2:20]known as but was the prophet when he received the Surah in
[2:24]the right state of mind or was he delusional was he suicidal
[2:29]was he epileptic did he even know of himself as a prophet
[2:33]of Allah subhana wa ta'ala and did you find my dear brothers
[2:41]and sisters that the Sunni narrative on the first revelation is somewhat
[2:46]different to the Shia narrative while many of us assume that the
[2:50]differences that we've discussed are differences that always concern imama leadership Authority
[2:58]and the disputes and the dissension and the disagreements between the companions
[3:04]you find that no on the contrary there are also differences in
[3:07]the way that the prophets of Allah subhah wa ta'ala generally are
[3:12]perceived and the holy prophet Muhammad Sall alai in particular indeed you
[3:20]find that's why some outside of the school of Islam had written
[3:25]certain pieces of literature where they discussed whether the Prophet Muhammad sallah
[3:31]could be affected by you find that there are some who said
[3:38]that if you study you will see that Muhammad s alai is
[3:44]not in the right State of Mind from the beginning of his
[3:48]Revelation during his Revelation and towards the end of his Revelation one
[3:54]may turn around and say there's no way that there are Traditions
[3:57]which show the prophet sallallahu alai in this light surely the prophet
[4:03]sallallah alai was always of sound mind at the end of the
[4:06]day he is a prophet of Allah subhana and God is always
[4:12]there to guide him we know that in Sunni thought it is
[4:15]very normal to see in certain theological texts the belief that the
[4:19]prophets of Allah subhana wa ta'ala may commit minor Sins Not major
[4:25]sins and they believe that they may make mistakes outside of Revelation
[4:29]so for the Sunni world the idea that a prophet like Adam
[4:36]may have committed a minor sin or that God rebukes Nab in
[4:40]his love for his son or that God makes it clear that
[4:46]daam was wrong in his judgment is something very normal in the
[4:49]past people would assume that this was only the belief of the
[4:56]Christian world in the Bible sometimes you see certain narratives and lines
[5:01]in the Bible where a person can clearly see within these lines
[5:07]Within These narratives a person is clearly able to see that God's
[5:11]prophets were committing sins L for example in the Bible is not
[5:21]a prophet of God he is seen as a respected figure he
[5:23]commits incest with his daughters likewise you see drunk in the vineyard
[5:32]or you see daam commit adultery with the wife of the commander
[5:42]of his army in the Muslim World some of these things are
[5:46]far-fetched and would never be believed but some of these things did
[5:50]creep into our literature in a series of narrations called ISAT the
[5:58]isad narration involves certain companion who are converts from Judaism or from
[6:03]Christianity who began to give interpretations which were very similar to the
[6:10]biblical interpretations and it wasn't farfetched to hear Ori others narrating one
[6:18]way or the other and from different chains that there were some
[6:24]of the teachings of the Bible that had begun to creep into
[6:27]Islamic literature and there was nothing wrong if a person saw that
[6:31]ibim could commit a sin could commit a sin could commit a
[6:39]sinam could commit a sin dare I say even musam punches the
[6:46]angel of death someone says what do you mean musam punches the
[6:54]angel of death musam punches one of God's most important Creations if
[6:57]we look my dear brothers and sisters join me over here you'll
[7:03]see that mentioned over here my dear brothers and sisters if we
[7:07]come to this particular narration within where I want everybody at home
[7:12]to please look at this narration my dear brothers and sisters narration
[7:16]is mentioned inah alari the translation of the meanings of sah alari
[7:26]Arabic English Volume 2 a Hadith 876 to 1 1772 transl ated
[7:31]by Dr Muhammad M Khan you come over here my dear brothers
[7:36]and sisters you will see very clearly where is it published Dar
[7:42]Salam Publishers and Distributors PO Box 22743 riy printed in July 1997
[7:54]printing supervised by Abdul mik mujahid if we all go to page
[7:58]243 of this particular section of you see a flabbergasting Hadith and
[8:06]let me make something very clear all these hadiths can easily creep
[8:12]into the literature of other schools in Islam dare I say that
[8:16]sometimes even some of these types of traditions can creep in but
[8:19]a person straight away dismisses them and doesn't say this is and
[8:24]of course the Sunni World faced The Dilemma when such Traditions were
[8:28]there come to the tradition if you look over here J the
[8:33]book of funerals page 243 68th chapter whoever desired to be buried
[8:38]in the sacred land or something like it 1339 narrated Abu Hur
[8:46]the angel of death was sent to M and when he came
[8:53]to him M slapped him and spoiled one of his eyes imagine
[8:58]him and recognition that both of them are of course devout servants
[9:10]devout worshippers of Allah subhah waala when he came to him Musa
[9:29]slapped him and spoiled one of his eyes the angel went back
[9:33]to his Lord Allah and said you sent me to a slave
[9:36]who does not want to die Allah restored his eye and said
[9:44]go back and tell him to place his hand over the back
[9:45]of an ox for he will be allowed to live for the
[9:49]number of years equal to the number of hairs coming under his
[9:51]hand so the angel came to him and told him the same
[9:56]then MSA asked oh my Lord what will be then he said
[10:01]death will be then he said let it be now he asked
[10:03]Allah that he bring him near the sacred land at a distance
[10:07]of a stone throw Allah's messenger said were I there I would
[10:09]show you the grave of M by the way near the ra
[10:15]Red Sand Hill mam slapping the angel of death angel of death
[10:19]of course many times in our mosques we make it sound like
[10:23]the angel of death is like the nastiest person you'll ever see
[10:25]at the end of the day these are devout Servants of Allah
[10:27]and the most Pleasant of creations of Allah but would you ever
[10:33]in your right mind reach a conclusion about a great prophet and
[10:37]one of the like mus that he would slap the angel of
[10:42]death causing what to happen causing as you saw the spoiling of
[10:49]one of his eyes imagine a non-muslim looks at this and says
[10:52]that you were of the detractors of the Bible and you were
[10:57]saying that the prophets of God are Immaculate a sinless infallible and
[11:04]of course the word because ultimately when God decides that these are
[11:10]our role models who will show us the best way to reach
[11:15]God through giving us good news and being the perfect exemplars and
[11:19]Messengers on behalf of the Lord explaining to us his message surely
[11:24]there's no way that we would come to a conclusion that a
[11:27]prophet of Allah subhana wa tala would slap one of the best
[11:30]creations of Allah and that is the Angel of Death even in
[11:36]Sunni literature there is a recognition that the representative of God on
[11:40]Earth is mum someone says where if you look my dear brothers
[11:46]and sisters again if we come to a section or a chapter
[11:50]like you will see my dear brothers and sisters very clearly that
[11:57]within alari there is a section over here in bukari everybody at
[12:01]home sahkari the translation of the meanings of sahkari Arabic English volume8
[12:09]Hadi 5970 to 6560 you come over here darus Salam Publishers and
[12:16]Distributors PO Box 22743 riy printed July 1997 printing supervised by Abdul
[12:23]Malik mujah come with me here and you will see that God
[12:25]makes clear that God is always protecting those who he has sent
[12:32]on the earth as his what as his at the end of
[12:40]the dayam when Allah subhah waala makes clear is aif a representative
[12:47]of Allah subhana wa taala with a capital K or a c
[12:49]Capital C depending on how you spell it we may be thef
[12:55]of Allah on Earth us basic human beings with a small C
[13:01]or small K but with capital K and a Capital C is
[13:04]Theif of Allah on Earth Theif of Allah what's his position as
[13:10]a nebbi he's the most knowledgeable of the creation the one who
[13:13]gives the good news the one who gives Glad Tidings the one
[13:16]who guides and allows us to understand our Lord and the path
[13:21]to reach our Lord and yet when you come here people saying
[13:28]that these prophets are not protected look at this section page 323
[13:33]which the book of Al Divine preordainment e chapter the sinless or
[13:43]the saved or the protected is the one whom Allah protects notice
[13:48]here what does it say which one and soim that means protected
[14:06]Guardian 6611 AB narrates thisi was one of the great companions one
[14:13]of the great sah of he narrates this Hadith and the prophet
[14:18]said no CIF is appointed but has two groups of advisers one
[14:24]group advises him to do good and urges him to adopt it
[14:26]and another group advises him to do bad and urges him to
[14:30]adopt it and Al the sinless or the saved or the protected
[14:34]is the one whom Allah protects Allah subhana wa ta'ala protects the
[14:41]prophets of Allah subhana wa ta'ala protects his creation that we could
[14:45]not say that these prophets are affected where Shan guides them on
[14:52]the misguides them towards the wrong path we canot say that they
[14:56]become suicidal that they become delusional that they don't know what they're
[15:00]thinking why because if I cannot trust you in that moment that
[15:04]there are Guardians who God has ordained to protect you and that
[15:09]God himself oversees your protection then how can I trust all your
[15:12]words at the end of the day if for example could be
[15:20]affected by seizures epileptic fits wants to be suicidal and jump off
[15:25]cliffs and ifu alai is uncertain about Revelation and uncertain about his
[15:31]prophethood then I have to begin to question why would Allah send
[15:37]for me someone who seems not right in their mind Allah subhana
[15:41]wa ta'ala my dear brothers and sisters in the Quran he shows
[15:46]us this protection and guardianship is all there if you all go
[15:49]my dear brothers and sisters to sah 72 of the Holy Quran
[15:54]you'll see that Allah subhana wa taala always wants to remind us
[15:57]that he is given certain special position to these prophets and these
[16:02]Messengers look here Surah 72 verse number 26 he alone Allah alone
[16:11]is the knower of the Unseen and he does not reveal his
[16:16]Secrets unto anyone else sometimes the knowledge of the Unseen may be
[16:23]an exception may be given towards some people who let's see where
[16:28]takes us accept the ones of his Apostles whom he chooses he
[16:43]causes a God to March before him and after him that he
[17:02]may know that indeed they have delivered the messages of their lord
[17:06]and he encompasses by his knowledge all that is with them and
[17:10]takes account of everything Allah subhana wa ta'ala has given us all
[17:15]these prophets from the from Adam until Muhammad sallallah alai Al the
[17:19]most Immaculate of personalities yes some Excel above others and there is
[17:24]none as high as is the the greatest creation of Allah subhana
[17:30]wa taala and of course the who are with him are seen
[17:35]as the highest of the prophets and The Messengers but never do
[17:41]we in the sh School conclude that alai was a man who
[17:45]was ready to be suicidal and ready to jump off a cliff
[17:52]and bewitched and uncertain of his behavior and uncertain of his actions
[17:57]unlike however when you openi you see certain things which absolutely Amaze
[18:03]you about this first revelation That Came Upon Ras if we come
[18:11]towards everybody please over here come towards my dear brothers and sisters
[18:17]when I come towards Ali I come here to volume four of
[18:23]Sahari and when I come to volume four ofah alkari Arabic English
[18:30]volume four Hadith 23 38 to 3848 translated by Dr Muhammad M
[18:34]Khan you come here with me my dear brothers and sisters and
[18:39]what do you see you see something very interesting about what happens
[18:44]in the first revelation with slightly before I go into the conclusion
[18:50]of it come here with me first to Arabic English volume 9
[18:57]6561 to 7563 volume 9 I want you to all come here
[19:03]let's see on page 83 the book of the interpretations of Dreams
[19:07]the book of the interpretation of Dreams 91 which is the chapter
[19:11]the commencement of the divine revelation to Allah's messenger was in the
[19:15]form of good righteous dreams now this is talking about the commencement
[19:21]of the revelation of the Quran to Al these nights that we
[19:29]remember in some say the whole Quran was revealed some opinions the
[19:34]whole Quran was revealed to in the holy month of Ramadan and
[19:40]the stage by stage some say begin with his on the 27th
[19:43]of have given different dates and different opinions on these areas but
[19:47]let's see when that first revelation comes to what exactly takes place
[19:55]my dear brothers and sisters what exactly happens you you know it's
[20:01]very interesting when you open this up to see the difference between
[20:04]the Sunni understanding and the Shia understanding of the first revelation come
[20:09]with me when you come over here my dear brothers and sisters
[20:13]you will see this very clearly over here narrated AA the commencement
[20:17]of the divine revelation to Allah's messenger was in the form of
[20:21]good righteous true dreams which came true like bright daylight and then
[20:27]the love of seclusion was bestowed upon him he used to go
[20:32]in seclusion in the cave of course you all know the cave
[20:34]very well my dear brothers and sisters he used to go to
[20:39]where he used to worship Allah alone continuously for many days and
[20:43]nights he used to take with him the journey food for that
[20:49]stay and then come back to his wife khad to take his
[20:53]food likewise again for another period to stay till suddenly the truth
[20:57]descended upon him while while he was in the cave of the
[21:03]angel came to him in it and asked him to read the
[21:09]prophet replied I do not know how to read now watch this
[21:11]part and listen to it the prophet added the angel caught me
[21:15]forcefully and pressed me so hard that I could not bear it
[21:20]anymore he then released me and again asked me to read and
[21:27]I replied I do not know how to read thereupon he caught
[21:32]me again and pressed me a second time till I could not
[21:36]bear it anymore he then released me and asked me again to
[21:39]read but again I replied I do not know how to read
[21:44]or what shall I read thereupon he caught me for the third
[21:47]time and pressed me and then released me and said read in
[21:53]the name of your lord who has created all that exists has
[21:57]created man from a clot read and your lord is the most
[22:03]generous up to that which he knew not then Allah subhah wa
[22:10]tala's messenger returned with the Revelation and with this with his heartbeating
[22:16]severely till he entered upon KH I want to begin with this
[22:24]what exactly is happening my dear brothers and sisters would you ever
[22:30]expect who is someone of the best nature someone who follows his
[22:38]Lord's commands directly closest to Allah subhana wa ta'ala would he do
[22:44]this to Al where is literally taken back and forth back and
[22:53]forth why why first and foremost sahu Al had been a prophet
[22:57]in our opinion wa before this dayu Al knew that he was
[23:03]a prophet of Allah subhana wa tala since his childhood since his
[23:07]travels with his uncle Abu Talib even when he was a baby
[23:09]the narrations that we have about the way he was and how
[23:14]at the beginning of eating Hal would talk of him saying bah
[23:16]before he begins eating alhamdulillah when he ends eating clearly he knew
[23:23]that he was a prophet of Allah and he had the best
[23:24]relationship with and IM Ali who used to pray behind him and
[23:30]they used to follow him to when nobody else had even joined
[23:33]the religion 10 years before the Revelation had taken place you already
[23:39]had would go where the Prophet goes and then later on IM
[23:44]Ali would go where the Prophet goes and then they would pray
[23:50]by the Kaa and he was known as but you look at
[23:54]this narration and it's unbelievable the treatment that alai would get that
[23:59]when the angel would come to him he caught me forcefully and
[24:03]pressed me so hard that I could not bear it anymore and
[24:06]then he released me and ask me again to read what is
[24:10]this it's a fight with that Al this is the prophet of
[24:14]Allah subhana tala the treatment has to be impeccable and with respect
[24:21]otherwise people would laugh at us and say that Gabriel treats Muhammad
[24:25]s alai in this way is then this outre ous the one
[24:31]part here which I may agree with comes over here interesting in
[24:37]the brackets my dear brothers and sisters when you seey it's interesting
[24:59]this part here did the prophet say I do not know how
[25:05]to read no I think what's in the brackets is much closer
[25:07]my dear brothers and sisters look what's in the brackets and that
[25:10]is what shall I read or what do I read on the
[25:17]one hand some gave the interpretation within the sh world that the
[25:21]prophet said what would you like me to read what do I
[25:26]read when you're saying to me read what do I read a
[25:27]second opin opinion that was given on this thing what shall I
[25:34]read the second opinion was don't stop reading as if he was
[25:38]already reciting F and that's why there is an opinion among certain
[25:42]Scholars that F was already being recited by Al before the Quran
[25:50]was publicly revealed and then it was revealed again for everyone to
[25:55]see as we know has access to the and the Mystic in
[25:58]the sh School while the mystics take it to another level that
[26:03]has to ask permission for when it comes to this particular passage
[26:09]Jam asks him for permission for what for the to begin because
[26:18]Al Soul already has access on the highest level to the Revelation
[26:22]so for us in the Shia school when we come to that
[26:26]first revelation and don't get me wrong you may even find in
[26:29]one piece of sh literature that such is or such have crept
[26:32]into our literature at different periods and different epochs even during the
[26:36]lives of the imams people who would take some of our works
[26:41]and put certain in but for us knows that this is a
[26:47]heavy word and that he awaits the command from Allah subhana wa
[26:50]ta'ala and then when that command came what would you like me
[26:56]to read or keep reading what you're doing just read what we
[27:00]are reciting to you or as you want to go into a
[27:05]mystical lens then maybe can I have the permission now for the
[27:07]to continue let's continue and go back to the passage you come
[27:13]back over here Allah's messenger returned with the Revelation and with his
[27:18]heart beating severely till he entered upon who till he entered upon
[27:23]say and said cover me cover me they covered him till his
[27:32]fear was over and then he said oh khad what is wrong
[27:37]with me then he told her everything that had happened and said
[27:40]I fear that something may happen to me Khadijah said never by
[27:43]Allah but have the Glad Tidings for by Allah Allah will never
[27:48]disgrace you as you keep good relations with your kith and kin
[27:51]speak the truth help the poor and the destitute serve your guest
[27:53]generously and assist the deserving Calamity afflicted ones what has all that
[28:01]got to do with Revelation many humans do all of these things
[28:05]so what has that got to do with prophethood a prophet of
[28:09]Allah subhana tala would never say what's happened to me no chance
[28:13]a prophet of Allah subhana wa tal is always in a state
[28:18]of certainty Beyond those around him his understanding and comprehension of the
[28:25]particulars of the names of the absolutes of the concretes is on
[28:29]a different plane to anyone else Allah subhana wa tala has looked
[28:33]after the upbringing of and has made sure that at every stage
[28:39]in his life he has been protected and has always had in
[28:46]communication before this day this wasn't the first day and you're telling
[28:50]me says what is wrong with me I tell you that the
[28:56]Christian Evangelical school can turn around and say look at Muhammad he's
[28:59]not even certain of what's going on when Revelation comes how can
[29:05]I trust him in anything else how can I trust him and
[29:07]even in the Sunni World some of them when they began to
[29:11]see these narrations in bukari they said look all the blame should
[29:15]be on someone like because he has his and these types of
[29:19]traditions are not to be taken they somehow found their way and
[29:24]we don't accept them and they're not authentic you say all of
[29:27]this but I still see a book called and I see over
[29:30]a billion people who rever whatever is in here and I still
[29:32]see Muslims who look at what's in here and they think that
[29:36]our Prophet is delusional or epileptic with a seizure if not suicidal
[29:39]so he comes back andad with all her greatness has to reassure
[29:47]about Revelation and prophethood really they say you do not respect that's
[29:57]respect that my Prophet is being pressed hard by jbra and then
[30:03]doesn't know what's going on and then his wife Khadijah who's not
[30:06]even a prophet of Allah is explaining to him you know what
[30:10]you're all right God likes you come back khad then accompanied him
[30:18]to her cousin was the son of her paternal Uncle her father's
[30:26]brother who during the pre-islam period became a Christian and used to
[30:31]write the Arabic writing and used to write of the Gospel in
[30:33]Arabic as much as Allah had wished him to write he was
[30:36]an old man and had lost his eyesight Khadijah said to him
[30:38]oh my cousin listen to what your nephew has to sayak asked
[30:42]oh my nephew what have you seen the prophet described what he
[30:45]had seen my Prophet sallallahu alaih has to have a Christian verify
[30:54]his prophethood are you for real even those who gave the benefit
[31:01]of the doubt to and said that you know is a um
[31:02]is a is one of the he's always on thead you really
[31:10]in your right mind think that khad would take Allah to a
[31:14]Christian so that the Christian tells the prophet he's a Prophet come
[31:21]back the prophet described what he had seen said this is the
[31:29]same Nam Gabriel whom Allah had sent to MSA I wish I
[31:31]were young and could live up to the time when your people
[31:35]would turn you out Allah's messenger asked this Christian man will they
[31:39]drive me out replied in the affirmative and said never did a
[31:41]man come with something similar to what you have bought but was
[31:43]treated with hostility if I should remain alive till the day when
[31:47]you will be turned out then I would support you strongly but
[31:49]after a few days died and the divine revelation was also paused
[31:52]for a while and the prophet became so sad as we have
[31:56]heard that he intended several times to throw himself from the tops
[32:00]of high mountains and every time he went to the top of
[32:06]a mountain in order to throw himself down jbra would appear before
[32:11]him and say oh Muhammad you're are a messenger well I don't
[32:16]know what to say I don't know what to say if a
[32:23]non-muslim heard this W I don't know what they would think about
[32:28]my Prophet being suicidal and you know what normally happens people will
[32:33]come from the Sunni School say butani this is all Z's fault
[32:42]brings these things in this is not what's narrated this isari and
[32:45]this is what it's saying you may come later on but you're
[32:49]the ones who bring up everybody that's after the Quran nothing's like
[32:52]bhar and nothing's like Muslim I'm quoting verbatim come back but after
[32:56]a few days died and the divine divine revelation on this page
[33:00]here was also paused for a while and the Divine was and
[33:06]the prophet became so sad as we read that he intended several
[33:09]times to throw himself from the tops of high mountains and every
[33:19]time he went to up the top of a mountain in order
[33:25]to throw himself down Jabra would appear before him and say as
[33:29]if jbra is reassuring him that listen don't commit suicide I beg
[33:32]you come back oh Muhammad you are indeed Allah's messenger and Truth
[33:37]where upon his heart would become quiet and he would calm down
[33:41]and he would return home and whenever that period which we all
[33:48]have seen whenever the period of the coming Revelation used to become
[33:50]long he would do as before but when he used to reach
[33:52]the top of a mountain jbra would appear before him and say
[33:55]to him what he had said before one way or the other
[34:03]to one way or the other whether you like it or you
[34:11]don't Moses has slapped the angel of death and Muhammad wants to
[34:15]jump off the mountain what do you want to say about Sunni
[34:19]Islam's conception of prophethood how many years you used to say we
[34:28]do not respect Al enough you used to say that us sh
[34:33]the ones who believe Ali should have been the prophet don't you
[34:36]and you taught your children about and that's why we say what
[34:42]we say after Salah and that the sh do not respect this
[34:45]is respect really even if it wasn't B and not yes Z
[34:53]and all of that particular generation what's going on here how did
[34:56]these reach us B is still printed today and it's still available
[35:02]for people to read this and you're surprised when people began to
[35:07]write that Muhammad Sall alai the holy prophet of Allah is delusional
[35:11]or that he's a mad man or that he's a su say
[35:15]of course with things like this people can make up all types
[35:16]of stories when I see over here all of these lines what
[35:24]do I say what do I say I don't know I don't
[35:27]know what to say anymore what do you say you see these
[35:33]lines in front of you and you think to yourself where do
[35:37]we go look over here my dear brothers and sisters this alari
[35:41]in front of you volume four ofari 2338 to 3848 come here
[35:46]to this section the book of the stories of the prophets page
[35:51]372 you could all see it come down here if you don't
[35:57]mind 3392 narrated AA the prophet sallallahu alaih returned to Khadijah while
[36:02]his heart was beating rapidly she took him to who was a
[36:05]Christian convert and used to read the injil in Arabic waraka asked
[36:11]the prophet what do you see when he told him waraka said
[36:13]that is the same Angel just in case you doubt whom Allah
[36:18]sent to the prophet Musa should I live till you receive the
[36:21]Divine message I will support you strongly teaches my Prophet Muhammad Al
[36:28]that he's a prophet of God are you for real tell me
[36:32]this is not true I beg you but I see it in
[36:37]front of me where I see it in front of me in
[36:40]it's not like I'm seeing something which is from a different text
[36:44]which I'm not sure where it's come from if I see it
[36:48]in my dear brothers and sisters what am I meant to think
[36:51]when I see it right in front of me and I see
[36:55]very clearly that the Hadith is there in front of me and
[36:58]the Hadith itself is clearly saying that the prophet peace be upon
[37:04]him and his family is affected by who the prophet peace be
[37:07]upon him and his family is affected by Shan if he's affected
[37:14]by Shan in this way no affected for Suicidal Thoughts affected that
[37:19]he wants to jump off affected with all of these things and
[37:23]there are so many others of this ilk that a person can
[37:28]easily go to in terms of these types of narrations where a
[37:32]person cannot believe what is being narrated in relation to the position
[37:38]of that you look around and you see within B more of
[37:46]these narrations where a person can clearly see written down in the
[37:50]works what is clear for everyone and that is that sometimes Ras
[37:56]Allah wants to commit suicide sometimes he wants to jump off the
[38:00]mountain wants to jump off the cliff and these are in all
[38:04]honesty something unbelievable and that's why even when we saw for example
[38:10]how people like Salman rushi and others when they wrote The Satanic
[38:13]Verses the writing of the Satanic Verses did not come out of
[38:16]nowhere anyone who looks at what rash used to say will clearly
[38:22]see that Rashi had used sahkari and had used sah Muslim for
[38:28]all the lines that he wanted to make sure were clear for
[38:35]everybody to know about what had taken place in the Life ofas
[38:39]s Al Satanic Verses was of course burnt and Satanic Verses had
[38:46]fatwas on it but when Rashi whatever our disagreements are was using
[38:53]Islamic literature to show what type of mindset had according to these
[38:58]that that he needs to be verified by a Christian a Christian
[39:00]could come today and say to us that it was our people
[39:05]who verified your prophet's prophethood you people were not able to deliver
[39:12]what exactly was needed at that particular moment in time and that's
[39:16]why my dear brothers sisters every time I look within the Hadith
[39:19]literature you find certain things that Amaze you that are quoted about
[39:25]one of them is this one here when I come to this
[39:32]particular chapter of Sahari volume 8 ofah alari my dear brothers sisters
[39:35]come to this page page 220 for one of the most unbelievable
[39:39]narrations you'll ever come across about if I were to tell you
[39:48]that s alai was Bewitched and could be affected by Magic you
[39:51]would say to me no chance that's my prophet he doesn't speak
[39:56]of his own will he speaks of Revelations from the Lord theologically
[39:59]you would say to me if he says that he's not sure
[40:01]if he's affected by Magic then how could I trust everything that's
[40:05]come to him come here page 220 you could all see the
[40:12]book of invocations come to 57 chapter to repeat the invocation narrated
[40:17]look in the Arabic over here look at the English narrates Allah's
[40:45]messenger was affected by Magic so much so that he used to
[40:52]think that he had done something which in fact he did not
[40:55]do the Prophet Muhammad s alai according toah alari is Bewitched look
[41:04]at the wording come back Allah's messenger was affected by Magic so
[41:08]much that he used to think that he had done something which
[41:13]in fact he did not do and he invoked his Lord Allah
[41:15]for a remedy then one day he said oh do you know
[41:21]that Allah has advised me as to the problem I consulted him
[41:26]about AA said oh Allah's messenger what's that he said two men
[41:33]came to me and one of them sat at my head and
[41:37]the other at my feet and one of them asked His companion
[41:39]what's wrong with this man the latter replied he is under the
[41:44]effect of magic Al could be affected suicidally could be affected with
[42:00]magic I ask you this is the biography of the Prophet we've
[42:02]taken as the greatest prophet and the greatest creation of Allah Allah
[42:04]could not have chosen any other creation but one who's not sure
[42:08]about his words and his actions come back the former asked who
[42:15]has worked Magic on him the latter replied the former asked with
[42:23]what did he work the magic the latter replied with a comb
[42:27]and the hair which are stuck to the comb and the skin
[42:31]of pollen of a date palm tree clearly the Arabs had quite
[42:34]interesting ways of doing black magic and we always get these messages
[42:37]and emails from people please I'm affected by black magic and I've
[42:42]heard some crazy things hair and people putting getting people's clothes or
[42:44]under the table or with some ayats all these madnesses look what's
[42:49]over here with a comb and the hair which are stuck to
[42:52]the comb and the skin of pollen of a date palm tree
[42:57]then the former asked what the former asked where is that the
[43:02]latter replied it is in thean thean was well was a well
[43:10]in the dwelling place of the tribe of who of Ben zor
[43:14]Allah's messenger went to that well and returned to AA saying by
[43:21]Allah the water of the well was as red as the infusion
[43:24]of H and the DAT palm trees look looked like the heads
[43:30]of devils imagine like what's the prophet seen what's happening to the
[43:42]mind of I ask for forgiveness for what I'm quoting and what
[43:49]I'm saying but this is in and a billion Muslims look at
[43:54]these things and say that this book is and then they have
[43:56]to go into mathematics later on to explain why their Hadith Masters
[44:00]somehow found and this acceptable to include I asked the prophet oh
[44:09]Allah's messenger why didn't you take it out he said as for
[44:12]me Allah has cured me and I hated to draw the attention
[44:22]of the people to such evil which they might learn and harm
[44:31]others with narrated hisham's father said Allah's messenger was Bewitched Allah's messenger
[44:43]was Bewitched Allah's messenger was Bewitched just try and grasp that the
[44:48]next time you tell people that they should follow Islam and be
[44:54]careful that the person doesn't tell you what your Prophet who was
[44:57]Bewitched come back Allah's messenger was Bewitched so he invoked Allah repeatedly
[45:05]requesting him to cure him from that magic Hasam then narrates the
[45:10]above narration imagine my dear brothers and sisters the first in this
[45:18]episode we showed Moses slapping the angel of death then we showed
[45:23]a very uncertain a very erratic a very delusional possibly epileptic possibly
[45:33]suicidal then we showed a Christian telling him that don't worry that
[45:41]was Gabriel as if the prophet sallu alai had never met R
[45:44]Allah had never met jbra who is of course one of the
[45:49]messengers of Allah of the Angels at all and now on top
[45:53]of all of this the prophet peace be upon him and his
[46:00]family is a Ed by Magic and is Bewitched if you watch
[46:02]this clip from Alan he shows how is affected by Magic the
[46:11]people from come and they come to and they say look we've
[46:17]tried everything we can against Muhammad Sall alaihi wasam we've even tried
[46:20]magic but our magic isn't strong enough you're the best magician we
[46:23]know do something that will tear him apart do something that will
[46:27]dismantle him so they come soliciting his help in some narrations of
[46:31]the MU we learn that he also solicited the help of his
[46:35]daughters his daughters were also good at Magic I guess they were
[46:38]in his apprenticeship so he also solicited their help help in trying
[46:41]to come up with this kind of sorcery now he does so
[46:46]by so he actually uh pays one of the Servants of the
[46:49]messenger of Allah a boy a Jewish boy who used to serve
[46:53]the messenger of Allah Sall alaihi wasallam and he steals a comb
[46:56]from the messenger and takes a couple of pins out of the
[47:00]comb and the hair of the messenger Alam is still stuck on
[47:02]the pins you know how your hair can get stuck on the
[47:04]pin of a comb so he takes those pins to the Sorcerer
[47:07]And he starts making this kind of special sorcery and ties knots
[47:10]around it and does this spell casting that they do and make
[47:12]a doll and stick needles in it all all this kind of
[47:15]thing and then they take whatever this this device this contraption that
[47:18]they had made because of their magic they took it into a
[47:23]well called Aran this a famous well in Medina and they put
[47:25]it on the in the bottom of that well underneath a they
[47:29]hit it now what effect did that magic spell have on the
[47:31]prophet is the question to be asked we don't have many narrations
[47:36]in regard to this we have very few one we know that
[47:37]the messenger was physically being agitated from within he was feeling pressure
[47:41]he was feeling perturbed and Disturbed he was losing sleep some narration
[47:45]say that he would uh he would think that he did something
[47:50]uh forgetting that he actually hasn't done it yet sallallahu alhi wasallam
[47:53]or that he would think that he didn't do something well actually
[47:56]he had already done so Sall Al so his memory was being
[47:58]affected and he was being affected internally but the sahabah didn't see
[48:03]it so this was something happening on the inside of the messenger
[48:05]this you know this kind of pressure he was feeling and disturbance
[48:08]he was feeling is this the respect that we afford and is
[48:16]this how we are ready to tell people about divine revelation and
[48:19]the way it's protected that divine revelation is revealed unto a man
[48:25]who's not certain that he's a prophet and when it stops wants
[48:27]to jump off a mountain and that on top of that we
[48:30]don't know when he was Bewitched or not so we don't know
[48:32]which things are coming from him and which aren't and that's why
[48:36]the Satanic Verses was not surprising that it was in certain quranic
[48:41]exes that Al could be affected by Shan's Whispers And the whole
[48:46]story of the prostration to the idols emerged for us alhamdulillah when
[48:53]such literature comes to us we want to delete it straight away
[48:56]and on top of that for us Al knew from before we
[49:05]could even think already in the pre-eternal realm rasol Allah's soul is
[49:10]the purest soul and he is the purest man and there is
[49:14]no way thatan can affect him and there's no way that he
[49:18]could be Bewitched knew about Revelation and she knew that he was
[49:23]certain of Revelation for she and IM Ali were always the closest
[49:26]to him and never would we accept such conclusions about Allah in
[49:32]terms of magic affecting him all we can say is that we
[49:35]pray to Allah subhana waala that he protects our belief in Al
[49:42]and guides those to the true belief of not those affected by
