[0:09]Malaka rahmanir rahim al-hamdu lillahi rabbil alameen wa sallahu ala sayidina muhammadin
[0:19]wa ala nabina by hearing Lama Sonia respected brothers and sisters assalamu
[0:29]alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh we continue our discussion into the chapter on purity
[0:42]and the chapter on water we have two types of water we
[0:47]have plain water which is pure and purifies and we have mixed
[0:56]water like a juice which is pure in itself but does not
[0:58]have the ability to purify if you go to page 8 under
[1:06]the heading bahadin what the hell water one of its attributes is
[1:11]that it's pure which is waha moba hair means it purifies so
[1:19]not only is it pure but it also has the capacity to
[1:22]purify what's the proof from the holy quran allah subhanaw taala states
[1:28]in surah al-anfal verse 9 varlet allah wa younus Azul o alaikum
[1:34]- Emma Emma and Leo - Hara combi Allah Spano to Allah
[1:41]has sent down water from the sky to purify you so we
[1:48]know that water has the attribute of purifying another hadith from the
[1:54]imam ali salam ala ma masada he says kana rasullullah sallallahu aleyhi
[1:58]wa l ma o Yoda here voila ha ha he attributes this
[2:06]hadith to the Prophet he says water purifies but it's not purified
[2:11]what does that mean that mean water has the capacity to purify
[2:17]other objects but it does not need purification because it's pure already
[2:23]that's just an Arabic expression of saying that it's pure it does
[2:29]not need to be purified now when it comes to water and
[2:34]its attribute of purifying we have two types of uncleanliness to remove
[2:42]these two types of uncleanliness you need plain water the first is
[2:51]physical uncleanliness and the second is spiritual uncleanliness physical uncleanliness we call
[3:00]kab a--the in arabic let's write it so we can see how
[3:04]it's similar to the other type of uncleanliness so in arabic we
[3:09]have a a word that is called chemin huh baths means something
[3:21]that is unclean something that is impure something that is contaminated what
[3:29]does haveth mean Sabbath in Islamic law refers to any physical impurities
[3:35]such as what such as blood for example blood is a type
[3:44]of Sabbath so this refers to physical impurities but you also have
[3:57]what is called hadith it's very similar to kibbutz but this refers
[4:06]to spiritual impurity now water has the capacity to purify you from
[4:19]both for example if you have blood on your clothes if you
[4:24]have blood on your hands water will purify it how death the
[4:29]spiritual uncleanliness is whenever you're not in a state of Tahara when
[4:35]you don't have woohoo or loser so for example if you sleep
[4:41]and you break your rule or if you use the bathroom and
[4:42]you break your wazoo you're in a state of hadith in a
[4:50]state of spiritual uncleanliness that's why it's highly recommended to keep yourself
[4:58]in spiritual purity always be on ravu always be on with them
[5:03]it's highly recommended the hadith says if you sleep on will do
[5:07]meaning you perform with it before you fall asleep allah subhana wa
[5:11]ta'ala will give you the edge and the reward of worshiping him
[5:16]the entire night it's as if you're praying and worshiping the entire
[5:21]night because you sleep in a state of purity and it has
[5:24]psychological impacts you know many people sometimes will come to me and
[5:28]they say can you help us because we when we sleep we
[5:34]have a lot of nightmares for example do you know that will
[5:39]do has a powerful impact when you sleep with that pure state
[5:42]you are less likely to have trouble with nightmares and let's say
[5:47]other negative impacts other negative effects so habits is physical impurity hadith
[5:56]is spiritual impurity water has the capacity to purify you from both
[6:05]so when you do Lulu you're no longer in the state of
[6:07]hadith you're pure now when we speak of hadith we have two
[6:12]types of hadith we have the minor hadith and we have the
[6:15]major hadith the minor hadith is being in a state where you
[6:21]just need to do loop let's say you slept you use the
[6:23]bathroom and so you have to do this is called minor hadith
[6:29]and all you need to do to get yourself get yourself out
[6:32]of this state of minor hadith all you do is we'll do
[6:39]four major hadith such as for example the state of janaba when
[6:42]someone is in the state of janaba or when someone is in
[6:48]the state of hail during a menstrual cycle they enter what is
[6:52]called the major hadith to remove that major hadith once a person
[6:59]becomes clean for example when the cycle ends you have to do
[7:03]listen you have to fully wash your body to become pure again
[7:09]so we have the major hadith the big hadith and the minor
[7:12]or small hadith so water has the capacity to purify us from
[7:16]Sabbath and hadith this is what he says in the first paragraph
[7:23]now in the second paragraph and the third paragraph he mentions two
[7:30]differences between hydroton Sabbath the first difference woman my euphoric will be
[7:37]he banal Sabbath one hadith you forgot day means there are two
[7:42]differences between hadith and her birth the first difference is that if
[7:50]you have a container of water that's not connected to a source
[7:54]let's say you have a bucket of water if the habit touches
[8:00]the water even if it's one tiny drop what happens to all
[8:04]the water in the bucket it becomes neji's it because impure so
[8:11]if you have for example a bucket of water and a drop
[8:14]of blood falls into it a drop of urine falls into it
[8:22]the whole bucket becomes nudges whereas if someone is in the state
[8:26]of hadith spiritual uncleanliness if you touch water does that water become
[8:33]ninjas or no let's say someone needs to do Hassan but their
[8:39]hand is clean style there's no on their hand if I touch
[8:44]a bucket of water do I make that bucket of water and
[8:50]edges no even though I'm in a state of spiritual and cleanliness
[8:55]I need to do listen or I need to do although it's
[9:00]hardest but one of the qualities of hadith is that if you
[9:03]touch water or anything any object you don't make it nudges whereas
[9:09]a death makes it and edges anything that Sabbath comes into contact
[9:13]with it makes it ninjas so this is one difference between hadith
[9:18]and cometh is this difference clear let's go to the second difference
[9:22]and this one's interesting the second difference between hadith and her birth
[9:31]is that since the Sabbath the physical impurity deals with our physical
[9:39]aspect like the hands the body physical Najah says if you want
[9:49]to purify it you don't need to make the intention that this
[9:52]is for Allah you don't have to say in your heart or
[9:57]on your tongue go Tibet and in a line to Allah so
[9:58]if there's blood here let's say I have blood on my hands
[10:03]when I'm washing the blood from my hands do I need to
[10:05]say I'm washing my hands Courbet and aerolite Allah no you don't
[10:12]have to say that Sabbath just by removing it by purifying it
[10:15]with pure water it's pure anybody can do it a Muslim and
[10:20]non-muslim an object if that plate is cleaned you put it in
[10:26]a dishwasher and let's say the dishwasher cleans it you don't need
[10:29]any Nia to me you don't need any intention to make it
[10:33]automatically becomes clean that's Sabbath and it concerns our physical apps aspect
[10:40]but when you go to hadith which is spiritual uncleanliness because the
[10:48]spiritual uncleanliness has an impact on our soul on our heart to
[10:53]remove it you need to make Ania you need to make an
[10:58]intention that's why when you do with Lu it's not enough just
[11:00]to wash your face your hands wipe your head and feet why
[11:06]you need to say I am doing this a little bit and
[11:09]it align to Allah you don't have to say it you just
[11:11]have to know it it's an act of worship it's a body
[11:14]that's why we'll do is a type of a body it's a
[11:20]type of worship it requires Nia you don't have to explicitly say
[11:24]it but you have to keep it in your mind if somebody's
[11:29]just washing their face and they did the exact acts of Lulu
[11:32]but they did not make any intention even in their mind that's
[11:35]not valid when you do listen for example to purify yourself when
[11:43]you're in an impure state and you need to do ghusl right
[11:46]as you begin doing the motion you have to make the Nia
[11:52]you have to make the intention what am i doing Rozlyn joema
[11:55]muslin janaba was little higher or if you're washing for example a
[12:03]dead person verse lil man yet we have to make these Nia's
[12:06]so the second difference between hadith and Sabbath is that to remove
[12:11]Kamath physical uncleanliness you never have to make any new year you
[12:17]can't miss to have you get rewarded if you're saying oh Allah
[12:20]I'm you know cleaning my body I'm removing the blood for example
[12:23]what about satellites I don't because I want to get closer to
[12:28]you I want to pray I want to be in a clean
[12:32]state that's good but are you required to say that no whereas
[12:34]when it comes to hadith the spiritual impurity it always requires ania
[12:39]you have to make veneer for it to be valid if you
[12:45]do a full zhesan complete of a Sun with all the steps
[12:52]but you forget to make the knee it doesn't count you know
[12:54]some people go in the shower and let's say they're so preoccupied
[12:57]maybe they wash their full body but they really never made the
[13:02]knee of Muslim halwa slogen Abba or listen hey they never made
[13:06]that knee that does not because hadith requires an intention and awareness
[13:12]for the sake of Allah in order for you to be purified
[13:18]from it so this is the second difference between hadith and Sabbath
[13:23]is this difference clear any questions about this difference so this is
[13:29]what he mentions the author in the second and third paragraph at
[13:43]the end of page eight we will get to that we will
[13:50]speak about that but this is cometh if you touch let's say
[13:56]someone who's not pure you don't have to do Hasan or woohoo
[13:59]to regain that purity all you have to do is just wash
[14:03]your hand or that area which came into contact with that lidge's
[14:09]so now let's flip to page 9 under this heading Alma I'll
[14:18]move off mixed water we talked about the characteristics and the attributes
[14:24]of mixed water and imam sadiq ali salam was asked about doing
[14:32]guru with milk sur le mom was sorrowfully salam and in louisville
[14:37]eben what does lemon in arabic mean milk not yogurt these days
[14:42]in our common language Lebanon is that yogurt drink but in the
[14:45]original Arabic language lemon means milk so he was asked you know
[14:52]can i if the milk is pure and I can drink it
[14:55]why can't I do with all of it the imam madison i'm
[14:57]says no and nama who and my aside for you to be
[15:03]purified there's only two things that purify your either water if you
[15:07]have it you do although or Hassan or Sayid what side and
[15:16]Arabic does anyone know the the earth side is anything that's on
[15:19]the earth the soil the the rocks this is referring to tell
[15:26]you moon tayammum is when you or for example stuck somewhere and
[15:30]you have absolutely no water and the time for sarah is about
[15:33]to expire you need to do your sauna so you do ter
[15:37]moon on the bare ground on the earth you take your hand
[15:43]you know you hit it on the ground and then you just
[15:45]swipe your forehead up to your nose we'll talk about the details
[15:50]of também so the Imam says there's only two things that purify
[15:53]you plain water and dirt the earth they give you the Hara
[16:00]if you want to pray for example so man move off mixed
[16:03]water such as juice such as milk anything of that kind you
[16:11]cannot use that to purify yourself even if it's pure even if
[16:15]you know they're they've put some detergents in it or you know
[16:18]some germ killers in it for it to purify you that will
[16:24]not purify you from a religious perspective ma al mu'minin my heart
[16:30]tell friendly when I see or wash I was robbed huama and
[16:36]ward you some mama and move often and then these are scholars
[16:39]when they say ma move off they're referring to anything that is
[16:43]not plain water it could be tea it could be vinegar it
[16:48]could be juice or it could be something that you've added with
[16:54]not plain water let's say you have plain water and you add
[16:57]something to it it's not an extract like for example juice orange
[17:00]juice you're not really adding something to water you just squeeze the
[17:05]fruit and you get the extra extract from it that's a type
[17:07]of muthaf water and there there type is you have pure water
[17:12]you add something to it to the point where it's no longer
[17:14]plain water that is also my ailment off so both of these
[17:19]are my I'll move off because there's two ways for having mixed
[17:23]water either it's originally mixed like milk like juices or you mix
[17:27]something you know at home you're making your own juice for example
[17:29]or your you're making the solution this liquid originally it was plain
[17:37]you add something to it you make it and mixed water so
[17:42]adding sugar to the water if you have water and you add
[17:53]sugar to it do the people in your society and ask yourself
[17:57]do you consider this a type of plain water or you would
[18:04]consider this no no this is not a type of plain water
[18:06]this is like a juice how would you classify it definitely we're
[18:14]not looking at the scientific property we are concerned with how people
[18:19]you know treat it like salt water sea water the properties are
[18:23]much different than fresh water but people consider it water both is
[18:28]water yes that one is clean the fresh one you drink it
[18:33]the salt water you don't drink it obviously but at the end
[18:35]of the day when you have to classify them as plain water
[18:42]or mixed water like juice for example where would you classify sea
[18:47]water you would classify it generally speaking into the plain water category
[18:51]so if you have some water and you add some sugar to
[18:57]it what would the people classify it do they consider it mixed
[19:00]or they considered a type of plain water if they consider it
[19:04]mixed then the properties of mixed water will apply if they consider
[19:08]it plain water then the properties of plain water will apply so
[19:12]it really depends on what society considers it now if you have
[19:25]doubts you're not sure it will get to them yes from a
[19:29]scientific perspective it's very hard to find pure pure water from a
[19:38]scientific perspective sugar plus water is mixed water yes but see when
[19:47]you look at Islamic law we're not concerned with the scientific classification
[19:53]we're concerned with how people treat the water people regardless of what
[20:01]science says about this water people how do they treat it do
[20:06]they treat it as plain water or they consider that like no
[20:08]no this is not water you can't say water when you're referring
[20:13]to water that is sweet do you don't consider this water they
[20:16]consider it something else that's how you know if this is water
[20:20]or not for example sea water it's considered water according people will
[20:25]not you know yes it's sea water it's salty water but it's
[20:31]water it's not something else but milk milk is not water you
[20:33]can firmly say tenses in States in society milk is not water
[20:39]and that's a true statement juice is not water and that's a
[20:44]true statement you know but when it comes to water that you
[20:47]add sugar - can you say this is not water it depends
[20:54]on how people classify it and this could change by the way
[21:00]from society to another society and that's fine flavored water if the
[21:06]flavor is you know extreme where it changes the color and the
[21:11]taste to an extent where people treat it like a juice then
[21:14]it's no longer plain water but if it's but if that flavor
[21:20]you know is not that extreme it's just some light flavor in
[21:22]it it could be considered plain water it depends on how people
[21:25]classify it now obviously you're wondering what if I don't know you
[21:31]know the people themselves they're confused they don't know what to call
[21:34]this we'll get to it so yes you can do all that
[21:39]why can you do with you or listen with seawater because people
[21:43]treat it as water it's a type of water it's not a
[21:48]juice it's not a mixed water it's a type of water and
[21:50]people consider it a type of water yes they treat it differently
[21:56]obviously you don't drink seawater but at the end of the day
[21:59]it's water it's plain water people consider it to be a type
[22:04]of water and because people consider it to be a type of
[22:07]water then it has the features of plain water so you can
[22:12]do listen with it you could you know purify your body with
[22:15]it yes brother sparkling water because it's it's you know it's a
[22:24]what are they put in sparkling water there's carpets a carbonated drink
[22:29]right so people do they treat this as a type of plain
[22:37]water or do they consider it like a juice what would you
[22:41]say so if people consider it a plain water it has the
[22:47]attributes of plain water you could wash your hand with it and
[22:49]make it the hell if people consider it like a juice then
[22:55]that's problematic you cannot so you have to see the common perception
[22:59]and society the average person what would they consider it that makes
[23:04]a difference an Islamic law what people consider a subject and makes
[23:10]a difference or exactly in Arabic we call it the earth the
[23:14]common perception or the common understanding if the orb says this is
[23:18]water we say it's water and all the rules apply if the
[23:22]earth says this is added water then it's it's a mix it's
[23:25]mixed water and the rules of moveth will apply to it la
[23:30]subhanaw taala would not immediately ask you to do - mmm if
[23:35]there was no honor Allah would have told you you could do
[23:38]to you-know-who with a juice with mat move off with a mixed
[23:42]water then you could do Tamil so he's just showing us I
[23:47]have a Madonna kiss scholar that this and the Quran is a
[23:54]proof that you cannot use mixed water to purify yourself we also
[23:59]have many hadith about that there is a second proof which is
[24:08]a little bit more complex this second proof requires some explanation something
[24:16]becomes nudges let's say your hand becomes nudges you see that a
[24:22]drop of blood is on your hands do you now have certainty
[24:28]a being that your hand is not just or no you have
[24:30]your pin we can borrow a law from legal theory called isto
[24:38]swab in Arabic in English we call it the law of continuity
[24:41]in order to prove that mixed water cannot purify so in addition
[24:51]to this verse there is a law that is called and it's
[24:54]the swamp we can translate it as the law of continuity it's
[25:12]the sob and Estes hub v law of continuity so it's Estes
[25:19]HOD now the linguistic meaning of this word comes from the word
[25:24]from the root word cyber have you heard the word Sahaba companions
[25:28]who are the companions those who are with the Prophet right it's
[25:38]this heart comes from that root word because you are taking that
[25:42]original state as a companion with you but we can better translate
[25:47]it as the law of continuity now what does this law state
[25:55]this law states don't negate certainty with doubt whenever you're certain of
[26:01]something do not negate it with doubt negating with another certainty now
[26:06]the common example is that of Volvo at 12 p.m.
[26:10]you did will do so you're certain you did will do at
[26:13]4 p.m.
[26:15]you have doubts did I break my rule or no did I
[26:20]sleep that I go to the bathroom or no you have doubt
[26:21]what is the law of continue with you what does the law
[26:27]of is to stop say don't negate that certainty with down so
[26:31]do you consider yourself as having Whittle or do you need to
[26:35]redo the rule no you consider yourself to have although because you're
[26:42]certain at 12 you did will do so you have certainty a
[26:44]pain but you're not sure if you broke your will do you
[26:51]have doubt did I break my oath or no Islamic loss that's
[26:56]you on Lulu yes if you have doubt that I did will
[26:59]go or not you're not sure 12:00 p.m.
[27:02]did I do or not do who here the law of continuance
[27:08]he says the opposite the law of continuity says at 11:00 a.m.
[27:14]you definitely didn't have a look at well you doubt that I
[27:16]have although did I not have will ooh so continue that state
[27:22]of certainty so this is the law of continuity is this lot
[27:26]clear yes if you're sure that you broke you loo then yes
[27:32]now you've broken that certainty with another certainty but a doubt should
[27:37]never break a certainty this is Islamic law as this law clear
[27:40]the law of continuity we tallest us how how do you apply
[27:46]it here so my hand becomes not just with for example blood
[27:49]I am certain yet beam I have the obtain that my hand
[27:56]is nudges now if I take plain water like drinking water and
[27:59]I purify my hand with it do I have EAP none certainty
[28:06]that my hand is pure now yes but if I take added
[28:08]water like a juice like milk and I pour it on my
[28:13]hand trying to purify my hand I have doubt I asked myself
[28:18]I don't know in the religion of Islam does milt purify or
[28:24]no I have doubt let's say I try to look at the
[28:25]proofs I couldn't find anything about my Allah purified what does the
[28:30]law of continuity's state here your hand is filled edges because you
[28:39]were sure a minute ago you had the Athene certainty that your
[28:42]hand was nudges now after pouring milk on it you have doubt
[28:48]that I remove then ajasa or know the law of continuity says
[28:51]continue that neger state until now until you're sure a hundred percent
[28:56]that you've purified it which is with plain water only so in
[28:59]that last paragraph the author says we have a second proof which
[29:07]shows us that mixed water ma l Maloof does not have the
[29:10]capacity to purify because of its toes hop the law of continuity
[29:17]says you're sure it wasn't edges you assume it's not just now
[29:21]because you don't have evidence proof that added water or mixed water
[29:27]can purify you yes brother well the blood bleeding through injury never
[29:42]breaks the rule whether it flows or it does not flow if
[29:47]you did well though and then a minute after you did that
[29:52]you got injured you got injured where blood started flowing that never
[29:56]invalidates the law the will though is valid the Horsell is valid
[29:58]if you need to pray all you need to do is just
[30:03]remove the blood from Salah but that never invalidates the although there
[30:07]are some sects maybe some Muslim sects that probably say that or
[30:11]there are some sects some Muslim sects until today some of the
[30:16]Muslim schools of thought not the Shia school of thought that say
[30:19]for example if you touch a woman and her cycle then you
[30:22]have to do although until today there are some Muslims who believe
[30:27]this but this is wrong when you did listen or Levu if
[30:34]you get injured and blood comes out or if you touch another
[30:37]person who's not in a pure state that never invalidates you although
[30:40]the only person that you can touch which will make you impure
[30:46]and you have to do what so is touching a dead body
[30:48]this little muscle may it you know the one who washes the
[30:54]dead body if you directly touch it now if you're doing it
[30:56]with gloves then you don't have to but if you if your
[31:01]skin comes into contact with the dead body after it has you
[31:03]know cooled then you would have to do who said that's the
[31:09]only instance otherwise and all other instances you Lulu is valid your
[31:14]listeners valid no matter who you touch in what state they're in
[31:17]yes if they're dangerous if that person is not just you just
[31:21]have to wash your hand you don't have to redo your so
[31:26]at that point to Chavo we will discuss this if someone has
[31:40]an injury a wound and you have a band-aid on if you
[31:42]remove the band-aid and you want to wash it this will cause
[31:47]the blood to continuously flow in that case just wipe on the
[31:52]band-aid you don't have to remove it no an animal that's dead
[31:59]if you touch it and it's one of those animals that become
[32:03]Nadja's like fish does not become you know if it dies outside
[32:09]the water it's hot or there are some animals that are cold
[32:12]blooded warm-blooded animals when they die they become ninjas but cold blooded
[32:17]animals like reptiles for example they don't become ninjas like insects they
[32:21]don't become ninjas so if you touch an animal that's warm blooded
[32:24]like a sheep like a cow that is dead you don't have
[32:28]to do any loss on any wool though you just have to
[32:31]wash your hand if your hand was wet or that dead animal
[32:33]was what you don't need to redo any of the Sun anyone
[32:39]ever it's what if your hand is dry and the body's right
[32:41]then you don't need to do anything you'll find so this is
[32:45]the second proof that we have here the second proof is the
[32:49]law of continuity now over here since we discussed the law of
[33:04]continuity let's go back to one of the questions that was asked
[33:07]here if I have a cup of water and I add sugar
[33:12]to it I make it a type of mix water and then
[33:17]I doubt I ask myself is this a type of plain water
[33:22]or this is a type of one mixed water I don't know
[33:24]I'm confused I go ask my friends each one says something half
[33:30]of them say this is like a juice it's no longer a
[33:32]type of plain water half of them say no this is a
[33:36]type of plain water I'm confused what do I do in this
[33:38]case can someone try to guess how we can apply it's the
[33:44]SOB over here the law of continuity to arrive at a conclusion
[33:48]here because now when your manager is issuing a fatwa he will
[33:54]write in his book of rulings if you have doubt that a
[33:56]water after sugar was added to it after flavor was added to
[34:01]it if you have doubt is this plain water or it's no
[34:05]longer plain water then the result is this they will use this
[34:07]law you don't need a specific hadith for this you could use
[34:10]the law of continuity to arrive at the conclusion can you guess
[34:18]how we can apply it yes exactly by their nature they apply
[34:29]the law of continuity even animals by their nature they apply this
[34:36]law how a bird has a nest this bird goes out a
[34:44]couple of hours three hours searching for food why does it come
[34:48]back to the same nest how does the bird know that the
[34:52]nest is still there because the bird was certain that when I
[34:57]left two hours ago the nest was there so I assumed I
[35:03]continued that stick I assume it's still here see even animals without
[35:08]doing any difficult intellectual calculations in their nature and their fibula and
[35:16]their instinct they have this law of estas hop that you just
[35:19]assume something is there when you have your claim that it was
[35:21]there so past scholars they would use this as proof that the
[35:28]religion of Islam came and the religion of Islam addresses the Alcala
[35:32]people who are rational and rational people in their everyday life they're
[35:38]always applying this law and Islam never said don't apply this aslam
[35:42]accepted this law in society because if Islam has a problem with
[35:49]something that rational people are doing it should state that as long
[35:53]as the Quran or the hadith did not prevent us or prohibit
[35:58]us from applying the law of estas hop then we can safely
[36:00]apply it so he mentions this in this long paragraph you know
[36:09]the second to last paragraph however more recent scholars in the past
[36:16]several centuries they said yes maybe that's proof but we have a
[36:20]better proof it seems those early scholars were not aware of this
[36:24]hadith or these Hadees or they may have overlooked them or they
[36:27]have interpreted them differently recent scholars say we have a honey from
[36:34]an imam sadiq ali his setup in which he says la tan
[36:38]Fidelia pina be shocked hola young Cavalia teen mission never negate certainty
[36:45]with doubt this is the law of estas hub if you ask
[36:50]me what the proof is don't tell me you're rational people and
[36:52]their instinct and their futur I know forgot all about that we
[36:57]have the hadith by the Mossad the fat is salam in which
[37:00]he says do not negate certainty with doubt now my question to
[37:07]you is now this is taking it at a deeper level but
[37:10]I'll keep it basic what's the difference let's say I'm a scholar
[37:18]and I want to issue fatwas so what what the source is
[37:20]whether I consider the source of its does hob to be the
[37:29]first point that rational people by their nature they hold on to
[37:35]the previous certainty they assume that state to continue or I say
[37:38]you know what my proof is not that I don't care about
[37:41]that my proof is the hadith about imam al-sadiq i didn't set
[37:43]up this doesn't make a difference which proof you use can you
[37:53]think of any differences there are many many differences I'll share one
[38:01]basic difference if you have doubt let's say you're dealing with a
[38:05]case you have previously obtained you're not sure should I continue that
[38:10]state till now or no if you ask the rational people what
[38:12]do they do it's not clear what they do in this case
[38:17]some people assume that the prior state still exists some say no
[38:20]that's not clear you don't know what rational people do if your
[38:26]evidence for its does hobb is the practice of rational people and
[38:30]the rational people have doubt they're not sure in this particular case
[38:34]what you should do in this case can you use this to
[38:39]sob or no you can't use this to sob because the rational
[38:41]people themselves they're doubting whether in this case you should you know
[38:45]be searching for a European or you could just continue the previous
[38:50]thing but if you your evidence of estas hob is the Hadees
[38:56]of an imam sadiq ali salam it doesn't matter what people think
[38:59]do they apply it to this case do they not the Imam
[39:04]says don't negate certainty or doubt I have a doubt I had
[39:06]a certainty I will not negate that certainty with Delta I will
[39:10]continue that certainty doesn't matter whether people do this in this case
[39:14]or not so this is one difference so it really makes a
[39:19]difference what your evidence because there are many cases let's say in
[39:23]family law in marriage laws let's say the rational people do not
[39:27]use is to stop in this do you have a different system
[39:29]but if my proof is the hadith of the mountain saga I
[39:38]can implement it everywhere in every aspect of my life so in
[39:43]this page he discusses the laws of estas hop therefore if you
[39:53]have water initially it was plain water then you're not sure what
[39:58]happened to it the law of is does hop says it's still
[40:00]plain water if you had to move off water but say you
[40:04]had a type of juice you did some chemical operations on it
[40:10]in the lab and you turned it into plain water well it
[40:13]looks like plain water but you you have doubts you know people
[40:19]will tell you okay you change the milk into this plain water
[40:21]you're not sure if this is called plain water or not maybe
[40:24]people who consider it something else where does the lava snow stop
[40:30]say it's not plain water it's move off water because the previous
[40:35]States was definitely move off you made some changes to it now
[40:39]you're not sure what it is assume that it is still move
[40:42]off it's not plain water now here's a question what if you
[40:46]don't know the previous state you're given a water it's dark in
[40:51]the room you don't know what's in the cup is it was
[40:55]it plain water so I can use this this Hopf to confirm
[41:00]that it's still plain was it move off water in this case
[41:03]does this have apply or no no it does not apply because
[41:10]you don't have certainty it does have in this case will not
[41:14]apply because you don't have previous certainty so in this case you
[41:17]can't do a fool with it because in order to have will
[41:21]do it you need to be sure this is plain water because
[41:25]the Quran says do it with water plain water you're not sure
[41:28]if this is plain water or not so it wouldn't suffice for
[41:33]you to do with it so if you have dust in the
[41:37]room and you have a cup you don't know what it is
[41:38]a bucket you don't know what it is it could be juice
[41:41]it could be water in this case your religious obligation is to
[41:45]do tale moon yes as a precaution you could do it with
[41:50]that water and then do another salon with tail moon as a
[41:54]precaution but that's now required so you can only implement as those
[42:02]hobb if there is a previous state there's an earlier state in
[42:07]the next chapter the author will discuss the types of plain water
[42:16]you know if you have a large body of water if the
[42:18]water is you know if you have running water from a faucet
[42:24]for example from tap water all of the qualities of plain water
[42:27]will differ according to what type of water you have you have
[42:33]a huge swimming pool and a drop of blood falls into it
[42:35]doesn't make it no juice no but if you have a bucket
[42:39]of water and a drop of for example blood falls into it
[42:41]it makes it ninjas what are the details about that inshallah and
[42:45]the next session the author will discuss the differences between these types
[42:50]of water and then we will go into the Najah shots you
[42:54]know what are the impurities and we'll go to the question that
[42:57]you asked non-muslims are they pure are they impure if you touch
[42:59]them what happens and so on and so forth Osama Allah Muhammad
[43:04]Wally and BA Haneen
