[0:00]foreign foreign foreign [Applause] [Applause] I begin by congratulating you all on

[1:20]the start of the holy month of Ramadan the month of blessings

[1:23]the month of Mercy the month in which we are the guests

[1:29]and Allah is the host and what makes the month of Ramadan

[1:35]special is that the Holy Quran was revealed during the month of

[1:42]Ramadan Quran so during the month of Ramadan from the from the

[1:52]proper manners and etiquettes of a Believer someone who appreciates the month

[1:58]of Ramadan we have to also appreciate the Quran and we have

[2:04]to recite the Quran we have to ponder upon the words of

[2:10]the Quran Quran and we have to make the Quran a part

[2:16]of our Lives because at the end of the day the Quran

[2:18]is the message from Allah to each and every single one of

[2:25]us Allah has given me a letter a message have I ever

[2:29]thought what does Allah want to tell me what is the message

[2:32]of the Quran for many of us the Quran is just a

[2:38]book that's on the shelves and we don't read it and we

[2:41]don't Ponder upon the meanings of the Quran so today inshallah the

[2:46]first day of the holy month of Ramadan we will begin the

[2:53]tafsir of Surah number 20 in the Quran you could see it

[2:57]on the screen and if you could take out your phone or

[3:02]if you could find the Quran the Quran it's on the one

[3:05]that I have page 312 Surat Taha page 20 in the Quran

[3:12]it comes after Surat Maryam and Surat so the the the verse

[3:17]before the Surah before Surat Maryam and the one before that we

[3:23]will begin Muhammad the first verse is Bismillah what does Taha mean

[3:40]here there are multiple explanations of the Quran they've given many interpretations

[3:49]of what do these letters mean these disconnected letters if you began

[3:56]today Bismillah this is what do these disconnected letters mean there are

[4:12]many opinions one opinion says that these disconnected letters they are if

[4:18]you gather them all together they will mean and they will make

[4:27]up the great name of Allah and this is a name that

[4:34]if you call upon Allah with this name with the Islam you

[4:38]ask will be answered this is why in one of the duas

[4:44]we say Allah I ask you by the great name that through

[5:00]that name you give life to everything and through that name life

[5:04]continues and through that name the Dua is answered so this is

[5:14]one of course this is a secret between Allah of Allah the

[5:18]prophets and the imams of the they know what the Islam is

[5:22]another meaning of the disconnected letters is telling the people who are

[5:33]the recipients of the Quran the Arabs when the Quran was being

[5:36]revealed so Allah saying this is an Arabic book it's like I

[5:47]want to talk to someone I tell them you speak English a

[5:51]b c d you speak English so that they will tell you

[5:53]yes they understand this is my language so therefore then it begins

[6:00]so it's trying to tell people that this is your language and

[6:11]these are your letters that we are speaking to you it's not

[6:13]some gibberish it's not some language that came from space this is

[6:19]the language that you communicate with each other with a third meaning

[6:24]of the Quran what do these letters mean these disconnected letters one

[6:29]me one opinion is that this is code language between the prophets

[6:35]and between the imams and between Allah and this is a knowledge

[6:40]that is inherited only with a group of people like for example

[6:43]the imams of the Arabic they have this knowledge why because Allah

[6:50]he opened the doors of knowledge for amironment opened 1 000 Gates

[7:06]of knowledge for me each gate opens one thousand Gates another opinion

[7:11]is that this is something that people of that time when the

[7:16]Quran was being revealed they knew what was the code what was

[7:21]the language maybe right now we don't know what it is but

[7:23]at that time people knew another opinion is that Taha oh man

[7:33]speaking to rasulullah oh man this is one opinion and the strongest

[7:42]opinion is it means the name of rasulullah Imam he was asked

[7:52]how many names he was asked about the names of rasulullah in

[7:56]the Quran foreign so what we understand from it is that Allah

[8:32]is speaking this Quran was not revealed upon you so that you

[8:49]suffer what does this mean several meanings one meaning that this message

[8:56]of the Quran and The Message of Islam was not sent for

[9:01]rasulallah and was not sent for you and I so that we

[9:03]live a bad life Allah gave us the religion of Islam so

[9:09]that we live a happy life wants us to live comfortably Allah

[9:17]does not want us to suffer and the way that we could

[9:19]live comfortably the way that we could live happily in terms of

[9:23]social life in terms of spirituality in terms of economics in terms

[9:27]of all aspects of life you take it from the Quran and

[9:32]you will live a comfortable life now today someone could come and

[9:34]say what about these people that are practicing religion and they're suffering

[9:37]well maybe the suffering is because of someone else or maybe that's

[9:44]a a different way they're interpreting the Quran the religion of Islam

[9:48]in a different way but the religion of Islam it's not meant

[9:53]to make us suffer so Allah is saying this Quran was revealed

[9:57]for you so that you live comfortably this is one meaning another

[10:01]meaning is specifically about rasulullah because after the verse came down um

[10:18]get up in the middle of the night either half the night

[10:23]a little bit more a little bit less he used to pray

[10:28]the whole night the whole night you used to be up praying

[10:31]and according to some narrations sometimes to taste the abudia to have

[10:37]that feeling of servitude to God sometimes you would stand on one

[10:44]foot when he's praying to Allah he would exhaust himself he would

[10:48]exhaust himself so he used to pray more than what was expected

[10:54]of him so Allah tells him this Quran was not revealed upon

[11:03]you so that you suffer so that you hurt yourself so that

[11:09]you trouble yourself no man's Quran then yaksha what is the whole

[11:19]purpose of the Quran why did Allah revealed the Quran Allah the

[11:29]Quran is a reminder for those who are in awe of Allah

[11:38]the Quran is a reminder the Quran is a message the Quran

[11:43]is supposed to wake us up and awaken our thoughts and our

[11:48]minds and this is why when you read the Quran one of

[11:50]the Beauties and the Miracles of the Quran is that anytime you

[11:53]read the Quran you see it Sparks a different thought a different

[11:58]idea comes in your mind and this is a test killer FedEx

[12:07]Islam the Quran is not meant to be used to control people's

[12:14]lives Allah does not want us does not want religion to be

[12:17]like a police where it's controlling people's lives religion is supposed to

[12:22]wake up the minds and the hearts that's the job of the

[12:27]religion religion is supposed to wake us up this is why Allah

[12:29]says in the Quran you cannot control the lives of people because

[12:38]there were some people they would not join the religion of Islam

[12:42]and rasulullah would get upset he would be heartbroken he wants people

[12:49]to join the religion of Islam one of them was his uncle

[12:52]would not join the religion of Islam rasulallah Allah tells him it's

[13:03]a reminder reminder for who foreign Sometimes some people you remind them

[13:13]a million times and their heart is blocked their hearts won't take

[13:19]the message meaning the one who will take the reminder and the

[13:25]one who will accept the admonishments of the Quran is the one

[13:29]who is in awe of Allah this is why in another verse

[13:43]this book is a book of hidayah a book of guidance for

[13:50]who for those who accept the message of Allah for those who

[13:56]are willing to accept the message from Allah in another verse who

[14:03]are those who have from Allah Allah says hell Ama who is

[14:16]the one who has the who is the one who understands and

[14:21]comprehends the Quran of course doesn't mean someone who has a Imam

[14:25]on their head no Allama could be someone who acknowledges and sees

[14:33]the signs of Allah whether you're a scientist whether you're an engineer

[14:36]whether you're a doctor whether you're in any field that you're in

[14:43]you will be able to see the Miracles and the signs of

[14:47]Allah and those signs they should lead you to Allah so the

[14:58]Quran is a reminder for who for those who are in awe

[15:06]of Allah now Allah says in the Quran so this Quran it's

[15:20]a reminder for those who are in of Allah who is it

[15:27]from we know the purpose of it who is it from tanzilan

[15:30]tanzil is the is different from inzal and Leila we will explain

[15:37]the difference Allah in one Allah first says what's the difference between

[15:48]inzal and tanzin is when the Quran is revealed all at once

[15:57]and this would happen during the life of rasulallah the whole Quran

[16:06]would be revealed on the heart of rasulullah is the gradual revelation

[16:11]of the Quran over 23 years from the time rasulullah was 40

[16:18]years old until he was 63 the Quran was being revealed gradually

[16:22]all the way until this was all tanzil this was all gradual

[16:31]Revelation so now the Quran had two types of Revelation was one

[16:36]was inzal every year it would come down and one was the

[16:39]gradual Revelation so now Allah says in the Quran tanzilan the Quran

[16:46]came down tanzil from whom it is from the one who created

[16:58]the earth and the High Heavens we know what the Earth is

[17:04]this is the earth that we live on this is what the

[17:05]Earth what are what does this mean when Allah says right now

[17:15]we look up we see Sama we see the sky this is

[17:19]the sky that gives us the rain and the clouds and all

[17:24]of that but there is there are High Heavens and this is

[17:31]the scientific element in the Quran that people probably a hundred two

[17:36]hundred three hundred years ago would not comprehend Allah did not just

[17:42]create one Heaven one sky right now you look through the telescope

[17:52]through the Hubble telescope or from the new one that just came

[17:56]out James Webb Telescope they take pictures and it's able to give

[18:02]us an image of space from over 13.6 billion years ago meaning

[18:08]a light emerged a light came out or a star gave out

[18:14]illuminated gave out light 13.6 billion years ago the light is reaching

[18:21]us now imagine how big are when Allah says in the Quran

[18:30]this these verses of the Quran tanzilan that's a tanzil it's a

[18:35]revelation meaning someone is speaking to every single one of us who

[18:39]is this person that's speaking to us right now if there's a

[18:42]bestseller in the New York Times or if there's a good author

[18:46]they wrote a book we all want to go and read it

[18:47]we all want to go and read what this person says a

[18:53]gradual Revelation speaking to every single one of us from whom the

[18:59]one who created this Earth that you live on and the High

[19:09]Heavens these are the High Heavens the Allah speaks about what comes

[19:14]from The High Heavens right now all of the food that we

[19:17]eat It's associated with the heavens It's associated with the sky why

[19:25]from the rain the clouds and the atmosphere and the air that

[19:29]we breathe all of that it is associated with the creation of

[19:33]Allah the light of the Sun the light of the sun is

[19:41]something that we need to survive Darkness we need to survive the

[19:46]air and the oxygen we need to survive the rain we need

[19:48]to survive who came who brought us all of this Allah this

[19:54]is the creator now Allah says in the Quran who is the

[20:05]one who gave us this Quran who is the one that's bringing

[20:10]down this verse and the one who has the one who created

[20:12]the earth and the heavens who is he Allah says in the

[20:19]Quran the merciful the all-merciful he is the one who is sending

[20:29]you this book he is the one who's giving you this tanzil

[20:34]the one who created this whole universe everything that we see he

[20:38]is also the Rahman meaning Allah is the almighty Allah is the

[20:47]all-powerful Allah is the omnipotent and Allah has all of the power

[20:50]but at the same time Allah and this is the beauty that

[20:59]Allah wants us to always remember that God is the all-merciful god

[21:02]is the mercy giving God is the compassionate we say this in

[21:06]Surah Bismillah alhamdulillah from one side he is but on the other

[21:20]side he is the one who has Authority and dominion over this

[21:25]whole creation so Allah he is the Rahman and this is one

[21:32]of the names of Allah is one of the names of God

[21:38]and Allah wants us to recognize him through what through his Mercy

[21:44]through his compassion you see there are many names of God 99

[21:48]Names of Allah but which name does Allah always remind us of

[21:53]in every Surah in the Quran except one Surah what is that

[21:57]name 114 times in the Quran because in Surah it doesn't have

[22:05]it but which Surah Bismillah relating ideology there are some Muslims they'll

[22:40]come and they'll tell you God is sitting on the arsh just

[22:46]like I'm sitting on this chair Allah has hands legs body and

[22:50]Allah sits on the arch is this something that we could accept

[22:55]no we cannot accept this how do we know this because we

[23:01]take our to hate from rasulullah and from the Allah who they

[23:07]explained to us that Allah cannot have a body later Allah cannot

[23:15]have a physical body because the moment God has a physical body

[23:20]what would that mean that would mean that God is contained in

[23:24]one place right now I have a physical body can I be

[23:29]here and at the same time be in karbala for example no

[23:34]I'm here I can't be in multiple places at the same time

[23:40]because we're limited we're confined by space and time if you say

[23:44]that God has a physical body if you say that God has

[23:48]hands legs a body then what would that mean that would mean

[23:52]that God is limited and Allah is the power that is not

[23:58]limited by anything especially something that he created the concept of space

[24:03]and time and place these are Concepts created by God God is

[24:08]not limited by something that he himself created so what does mean

[24:16]if you take it in its literal form then you would mean

[24:22]that God is sitting on the chair but the mufa Serene they

[24:26]say mean means he has Authority he has dominion over the arsh

[24:38]meaning Allah doesn't just have authority over samawat and the Earth no

[24:44]Allah has even authority over the arsh over the Throne of Allah

[24:49]something that is so great we have the Kursi and you have

[24:55]the arsh as well and the harsh is even greater than the

[24:59]Kursi so Allah is the one who has power and dominion and

[25:06]authority over all of that Allah says he is the one who

[25:24]has the authority what is the arsh is the place of the

[25:26]headquarters where the laws of God and the orders of God are

[25:33]they come out from Allah doesn't have a physical body but there's

[25:36]a headquarters where the laws of God come out from that is

[25:40]otherwise Allah is not in need and he's not in need of

[25:49]anything that limits him so now Allah says in the Quran he

[25:53]has full Authority and dominion over the what is the next verse

[26:08]he has what is in the samawat he had to him belongs

[26:15]whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on Earth and whatever

[26:19]is in between and whatever is underground what does this mean to

[26:27]God belongs everything that's in the samawat what's in the samawat what's

[26:34]in the heavens you have the angels and the millions and billions

[26:46]of Angels in this you have the planets the solar system the

[26:50]Milky Way the universe all of that all of that that our

[26:55]eyes cannot see all of that belongs to Allah the son belongs

[27:00]to God the moon the stars all of that belong to Allah

[27:05]why does Allah tell us this because there are people they start

[27:08]worshiping the creation and they leave the Creator there are people that

[27:12]would worship the son there were people that would worship the Stars

[27:18]Allah is trying to tell us that all of this belongs to

[27:21]Allah anything that's in the samat whatever your mind can imagine what's

[27:30]on Earth on Earth we are on Earth the animals the bacteria

[27:37]the viruses the trees the plants everything that is on Earth anything

[27:42]that you see is owned by Allah so there are some things

[27:55]that are on earth and there's something that is between Earth and

[28:00]between the samawats like the clouds maybe the Jinn so many other

[28:05]things that Allah has control of you know if the deeper we

[28:13]get into this the more we start appreciating the greatness of Allah

[28:18]right now just as on Earth there are roads in the ocean

[28:24]there are streams there are streams and Roads and Pathways in the

[28:27]water and also in the sky also in the sky they talk

[28:34]about the jet stream they talk about the pilot sometimes if the

[28:38]pilot is flying in the jet stream you would be able to

[28:43]get there much quicker to your destination there are routes and paths

[28:46]in the heaven and disguise who does who does that belong to

[28:51]who has control of all of that Allah subhanahu what's in between

[29:03]the Earth and the samawat and what is beneath the soil we

[29:10]don't see what's beneath the soil but there's another life as complicated

[29:17]and as complex as the life that we have above the soil

[29:22]it's beneath the soil who knows all of that that is which

[29:26]which is under the soil the Rocks the seeds you put a

[29:33]seed in the ground and then a few weeks later what happens

[29:36]to that seed it grows and it becomes a tree this is

[29:42]who is the one who has Authority and dominion over that who

[29:48]is the one that gives permission and has organized and made a

[29:52]system where this seed the seed do you look at it it

[29:57]looks like it's nothing you put it in the ground you pour

[29:58]some water on it which is also from the samawat which is

[30:02]also from God you pour water on it what happens to the

[30:04]seed it becomes into a tree it becomes into a life it

[30:09]becomes into a plant that we eat that we grow up that

[30:12]we that we use to survive this is all from Allah Allah

[30:20]knows about every single seed on Earth Allah knows about every single

[30:26]leaf every single leaf that falls on the earth the fossils right

[30:36]now they're bringing out fossils or the gold the jewelry the diamonds

[30:43]all of that that they dig from the earth who knows about

[30:45]it all ah is the one who knows about all of this

[30:51]is trying to tell you the one who's sending you this Quran

[31:20]is the one who has Authority and dominion over everything the one

[31:24]who knows what's on Earth and what's above the Earth what's in

[31:31]between what comes from under the ground right now can any government

[31:37]can any power can any data tell us how many dead lives

[31:40]how many people died and are buried under under the ground no

[31:45]one knows that only Allah Allah knows of every single living being

[31:54]that is buried beneath the ground any person that died and is

[31:58]buried beneath the ground Allah knows about it then the next verse

[32:05]verse 7 in and if you whether you speak openly whether you

[32:18]raise your voice right now I'm speaking I'm doing Jahar meaning I'm

[32:22]raising my voice he knows the sir he knows the secret sometimes

[32:31]I might tell you something secretly sometimes I might keep us a

[32:38]thought in my mind I did not speak about it to anyone

[32:40]it's in my mind it's in my heart Allah knows about it

[32:47]whether you speak out loud God knows when you speak loud he

[33:01]knows the sir and he knows what is Akbar from the secret

[33:03]what is Akbar from The Whispers that's what's in the heart so

[33:08]Allah knows when you speak loud and he knows The Whispers And

[33:15]he knows what is Akbar from The Whispers is what is in

[33:18]the heart now the last verse that we are doing tonight today

[33:31][Applause] Allah so first Allah says in the Quran this the one

[33:43]who created the heavens and the Earth is the one who's speaking

[33:49]to you Allah this is the Rahman who is the Rahman the

[33:54]one who has Authority and dominion over everything who is the Rahman

[33:58]he is Allah what is Allah we know Allah has 99 Names

[34:08]according to the Hadith Muslims sunnis and shias rasul Allah has 99

[34:17]names Allah is the name that defines all of the names of

[34:20]God it's the name that means all of the names of Allah

[34:31]this is why God God means Allah Allah in Arabic is God

[34:40]God by definition is the one that all of the 99 Names

[34:42]apply to him this is why God cannot be in a human

[34:46]body God cannot be limited God cannot be God is the giver

[34:51]God is God is the one who all of the Divine attributes

[34:53]apply to him Allah the one that there is no illah there's

[35:03]no deity other than him [Applause] meaning is there a god is

[35:12]there a deity that is worthy of being worshiped other than Allah

[35:17]now maybe other people they worship some people worship a cow some

[35:24]people worship the son some people worship idols but these are not

[35:28]what is described as the real Allah who is Allah did these

[35:37]Idols create the earth and the heavens the one who creates and

[35:46]is not created none of those Gods with a lowercase G that

[35:53]are worshiped come close to Allah Allah meaning there's no one worthy

[36:03]of being worshiped other than Allah to him belongs the names of

[36:13]Allah Radha to amironment he says he says rasulullah says God has

[36:40]99 names if you call upon god with these names Allah will

[36:45]answer your Dua ask Allah by the names and women the one

[36:50]who recognizes and memorizes the names of Allah it doesn't just mean

[36:57]memorizing it there are some people they memorize it like they memorize

[37:00]a poem Allah Allah you need to know what it means what

[37:11]does assalam mean what does mean what does mean is one thing

[37:16]is one thing what's the difference between we explain this is the

[37:23]one that gives General Mercy to everyone everything the Muslim the non-muslim

[37:28]the believer the non-believer they received who does that belong to the

[37:39]Believers that is what goes to the meaning so Allah says in

[37:43]the Quran the great names belong to Allah and Allah says in

[37:56]the Quran the great names of Allah belong to him so when

[38:04]you call upon God if you for example need if you need

[38:10]sustenance you you need wealth which name should you call upon Allah

[38:14]you say if you're sick you call upon the Healer if you

[38:23]need anything call upon God by the name that is attributed to

[38:30]Allah this is how you begin to comprehend and understand Allah oh
