( نص القصيدة )

جيش أمية وصل للحرم وارتجل
Foe army had arrived to sanctuary and improvised
شفنه عسكر تنتشر وتفرق الناس
seeing soldiers, they spread and separate people
مكة كلها حجيج يعتليها الضجيج
Makkah is full of pilgrims, noisiness is ascending
بالسيوف اتسللوا ما بين لنفاس
With swords penetrate through breathes
بغيرته ينفعل متجه بوالفضل
With his ardently acts, Bu-Alfadhel (Abbas) gone
لا يذبحون الولي إلحق يعباس
Don’t slaughter the guardian (Imam Hussain), oh Abbas quickly go there.
شمر هالسواعد راح الله يعينه
Took over his forearms, went God helps him
حف بجفوفه المظلوم تسلم يمينه
With his hands he protects the maltreated (Imam Hussain), his right hand to be blessed
هاي المسية يعباس يعباس
This night, oh Abbas oh Abbas
للغاضرية يعباس يعباس
To Ghadriya, oh Abbas oh Abbas

خويه قول الوداع هالأمل منه ضاع
O’Brother say good-bye, hope is lost from us
وخلع احرامك ترى دارو علينه
And take off your ihram since the foe is rounded us.
وختم بركعتين سيدي يا حُسين
Conclude with the two kneeling, oh milord Imam Hussain

قبل لا جيش العدو يوصل إلينه
Before the foe army reached us

هذا يوم الرحيل ليل ودربه طويل
This is the leaving day. Night and its path so long.
يا حبيب المصطفى نروح المدينة
Oh, Mustafa’s darling we’ll go to Madinah
غدروا بينه هالعدوان جهزوا القوافل
Those foes been perfidy to us, prepare the convoys
يالله يا قُمر عدنان شدوا المحامل
Oh, moon of Adnan (prophet Mohammed) gear the convoys
هاي المسية يعباس يعباس
This night Oh Abbas Oh Abbas
للغاضرية يعباس يعباس
To Ghadriya, oh Abbas oh Abbas

العقيلة بذهول من تشوف الخيول
Alaqeela (Zainab) amazed since seen the horses
فجأة زايد هالنفير امن الهواشم
Suddenly diffusion increased from AlHwashim
تسأل ابكل عجب خويه شنهو السبب
She’s asking in wonder, O’Brother what’s the reason
ليش قاطع حجتك يابن الضياغم
Oh, son of valor why cut off your evidence
يختي دار الزمن انطلع امن الوطن
Oh sister (Zainab) time is rounded, we’ll leave from the homeland

واستحلت حُرمت البيت الغواشم
Wantons have begrudged the sanctity of Kaaba
شافوا بت علي الكرار فوق المحامل
They see daughter of Imam Ali above the convoys
ضجة يم حرم لحسين صارت زلازل
Noisiness nearby Imam Hussain’s women became cataclysm
هاي المسية يا عباس يا عباس
This night Oh Abbas Oh Abbas
للغاضرية يا عباس يا عباس
To Ghadriya, oh Abbas oh Abbas

خذني عند الرسول تالي قبر البتول
Take me to prophet Mohammed, then to Albatool Zahra’s grave
لازم اقره اعل الضِلِع آخر مسية
Must wailing on the rib at last night

يا كفيل الظعن الختام الحسن
Oh, patron of migratory, the conclusion with Imam Hassan
عنده أخبار اشكثر عن هالقضية
He has lots of news about this cause
تزدلف هالألوف يا عضيدي وتطوف
Oh, brother thousands of people coming and roaming
على جسمك عاري بارض الغاضرية
On your naked body at Ghadriya ground
من تصعد عليك الخيل كل الحراير
When the horses ascended on you, all honor women
تسمع تنطحن لضلوع خويه في عاشر
Listening to the crushing of brother’s ribs at Ashura
للغاضرية يا عباس يا عباس
To Ghadriya, oh Abbas oh Abbas
