[0:52]the holy month of Ramadan and inshallah accepts all of your duas

[0:58]your blessings uh your your prayers and gives you and your family

[1:04]all of the blessings this week we commemorate one of the greatest

[1:11]tragedies that took place and the recent contemporary history and that is

[1:20]the demolition of the oldest Islamic Cemetery and that is the cemetery

[1:29]of bakia the oldest and first Islamic Cemetery in Islam was the

[1:34]cemetery of bakia in Medina and in Mecca you have the cemetery

[1:41]of al-muala or hajjun in Mecca you have the graves of the

[1:46]grandfather of rasulullah the grave of Abu Talib the grave of Khadijah

[1:54]and in Medina you have the graves in bakaya the graves of

[2:01]four of the imams of the Albert Imam al-hasan Imam Imam al-bakar

[2:06]and Imam sadak and there's a big chance that the grave of

[2:11]Fatima Zara is there the graves of the wives of the Prophet

[2:17]the daughters of the Prophet the other daughters and the grave of

[2:25]Ibrahim the son of rasulullah and many of the sahaba many of

[2:29]the companions of rasulullah in fact the first companion that the prophet

[2:36]buried in was one of the great companions his name is and

[2:44]they asked Imam Ali why did you name one of your sons

[2:48]he said I named him the sahabi of rasulullah the loyal sahabi

[2:57]of rasulullah so this Cemetery it was destroyed in 1926.

[3:05]1926 this means that there were there were tombs there there was

[3:10]a Graves there there were mausoleums there for the graves of the

[3:14]imams of the al-bait there was a grave for Ismael the son

[3:17]of Imam and Ibrahim the son of rasulullah and the four imams

[3:25]of the Albert Assad they all had Graves however in 1926 the

[3:31]wahhabis they came to power and the salafi that mindset that comes

[3:37]and says any grave is like worshiping the grave if you're visiting

[3:43]the grave this is shirk this is Haram this is this and

[3:45]that they came and they raised they raised these Graves to the

[3:51]ground where one historian he says that after this happened they made

[3:54]it look like it had just been bombed it had just been

[3:58]a war zone this is the graves of the awliya this is

[4:01]the graves of the sahabah this is the graves of the family

[4:07]of rasulullah and this is an act of Injustice that continues until

[4:13]today because until today if any of you have gone to Medina

[4:17]if any of you have gone to Mecca to the cemetery you

[4:22]will see that the graves of this awliyah the graves of the

[4:26]family of the prophets and the great Companions of the Prophet they

[4:29]are leveled with the ground and this is an act of Injustice

[4:36]that is not only against the owners of the grave like the

[4:42]family of the prophet and the great companions but this is an

[4:47]act of Injustice against Islam and Muslims because we Muslims this is

[4:52]our heritage this is something that we honor this is something that

[4:56]we Revere but they came and they destroyed all of it in

[5:01]fact even the house that the prophet was born in that house

[5:04]has been destroyed the house that the house of Khadijah was turned

[5:08]into public toilets you see you see others they come and they

[5:14]dig they dig and they try to find signs and Heritage to

[5:20]prove something of their Heritage but you see the Muslims groups of

[5:24]Muslims they come and they destroy the heritage of Islam and the

[5:28]Muslims now where does this come from where does this ideology come

[5:35]from because until today you find a group of people and this

[5:39]is embodied in the salafi wahhabi school of thoughts and to be

[5:43]clear the salafis and the wahhabis they are not representative of mainstream

[5:47]sunnis because right now you go to see many of the mainstream

[5:54]Muslim mainstream sunnis you see that they have shrines and they respect

[5:57]the awliyah and they respect the family of rasulullah but only with

[6:01]this Fringe group you see that they have this hatred and animosity

[6:05]to anything that will strengthen the bond with rasulullah and the family

[6:12]of rasulullah and this is not new my dear brothers and sisters

[6:16]this attempt to destroy the image and the Heritage and the name

[6:20]of rasulullah and the family of rasulullah this is something that existed

[6:24]during the time of the Prophet during the time of rasulullah and

[6:30]then it became more profound immediately after the death of the prophet

[6:35]and then it culminated into the day of Ashura with the grandson

[6:38]of the Prophet being killed and then you find it gets worse

[6:41]and worse over time one of the one of the companions of

[6:50]the Prophet the son of America so his name is he used

[7:01]to see everything that the prophet does or says and he used

[7:06]to write it down there there weren't that many people that used

[7:09]to read or write he was one of them so he says

[7:17]he says I used to write down everything I hear from the

[7:24]prophet he says I wanted to memorize it so I used to

[7:27]write it down he says some of the big heads of quraish

[7:36]they come and they tell him don't do that now these individuals

[7:39]were Muslim they come and they tell him don't do that Allah

[7:50]he says they told me don't write everything because the prophet is

[7:56]a man sometimes he when he's happy and when he's angry he

[7:59]is saying certain things so he says I came to Allah and

[8:05]I tell him he says he says I came to the Prophet

[8:10]The Prophet pointed to me foreign because only the haq comes out

[8:30]of this mouth only the truth comes out of this mouth so

[8:33]you see that during the time of the Prophet there was an

[8:38]attempt to distance people from the life and the words of rasulullah

[8:42]and the real Sunnah of rasulullah and you see that immediately after

[8:46]the death of the Prophet what happened the law of banning of

[8:50]the writing of the Hadith of the Prophet it became illegal to

[8:56]write down the Hadith of rasulullah and anyone who would say rasulullah

[9:02]anyone who would say the holy prophet said this they would be

[9:07]punished they would be persecuted if you're not from the government if

[9:10]you're not speaking on behalf of the authorities then you have no

[9:13]right to say I heard rasulullah say such and such than visiting

[9:18]the grave of the prophets became a sin it became something that

[9:22]was wrong and this Hadith Hadith number 23 585.

[9:32]he says the father of Marwan was kicked out of Medina he

[9:48]used to make fun of the Prophet The Prophet did not kick

[9:54]and excommunicate anyone except this man he kicked him out but subhanallah

[9:58]his son Marwan he ends up becoming the Khalifa of the Muslims

[10:03]later on after yazid you have the sophiani the omanians you have

[10:11]from the sons of Abu sufyan yazid after yazid yazid Sun Marwan

[10:15]he rules for a yes he rules for a short while and

[10:21]then it passes on to the marwanis that's why Abdul Malik these

[10:25]are all from the descendants of Marwan he becomes the Khalifa of

[10:33]the Muslims so he walks to the grave of the prophet and

[10:35]he sees Abu ayubal Ansari he says one of the early Muslims

[10:44]he's sitting over the grave of the prophet and he is speaking

[10:51]to rasulullah and then he tells him what are you doing what

[10:56]are you doing he he yells at him he rebukes him for

[10:58]visiting the grave of rasulullah so then rasulullah then he says I

[11:16]did not come to visit the hajjar I did not come to

[11:21]visit the grave instead I came to visit and then he says

[11:35]he says do not cry for religion if the right people are

[11:45]in power but cry for religion if the wrong people are in

[11:51]power my dear brothers and sisters we welcome all the way from

[12:01]Wisconsin may Allah bless you so this Hadith from rasulullah this Hadith

[12:07]shows that there was a group of people after the death of

[12:17]rasulullah that wanted to separate people from rasulullah and from visiting the

[12:24]graves of the Elizabeth and you see that this it became worse

[12:29]and worse until about 800 years ago around 800 years ago a

[12:37]scholar a deviated scholar by the name of IBN Tamia Eben Tamia

[12:41]he is in Damascus and he starts writing books and articles against

[12:47]the Albert Sunnah his his writing the whole he's trying to gather

[12:53]people rewrite the Sunnah of the prophet and you could tell when

[12:59]you read his work you could tell his bias against the other

[13:01]bait and this is why those who follow in his path today

[13:06]they have this type of Grudge towards the Elizabeth even though the

[13:10]Elevate the prophet tells people Allah asks the Muslims say I don't

[13:20]ask for anything except loving but this man he writes all of

[13:28]this and he even writes that it is Haram to visit the

[13:31]grave of the prophet and the Sunni Scholars and the Sunni government

[13:39]that he was a he had a fringe mentality he wasn't mainstream

[13:45]when did this idea become mainstream hundreds of years later when Muhammad

[13:50]abdullahab comes to power and the ideology of Muhammad he gives life

[14:00]to the ideology of IBN Tamiya and then the discovery of gold

[14:04]the discovery of oil and government is formed then you find that

[14:08]this type of mentality it is spread and the first thing they

[14:13]did when they came to power was they destroyed the graves of

[14:17]bakaya they destroyed the cemetery of bakia and the cemetery of Allah

[14:22]and before that they even attacked karbala in the 1800s they attacked

[14:27]karbala on the day of radhir on the day of Rader they

[14:31]came and they attacked the shrine of Imam Hussain and they looted

[14:34]the grave and the shrine of Imam and Hussein so now what

[14:41]is their proof they come and they say if you're visiting the

[14:45]grave then you're doing Shirk and shark is Haram well of course

[14:49]every Muslim knows Haram every Muslim knows that you have to worship

[14:52]Allah when we are visiting a grave if you're if you're visiting

[14:57]the grave of your father or your mother or your loved one

[14:59]does that mean you're worshiping this person of course not rasulallah you

[15:05]are ahead of us and we are following you he says [Applause]

[15:11]visit the graves because it will remind you of death and the

[15:17]Quran says foreign when you visit the grave this will remind you

[15:27]of the reality this will remind you of death somewhere where we

[15:32]are all going and we are instructed to visit certain individuals now

[15:40]not every grave deserves to be built and have a monument however

[15:45]there are certain individuals that Allah wants us to Revere certain individuals

[15:52]Allah wants us to honor one of those Salaam this verse when

[16:00]it was revealed there are homes the Allah has allowed to be

[16:10]elevated and the name of God is Remembered in these places they

[16:20]tell him is there anywhere else he says the houses of the

[16:27]prophets and then the Hadith says the Abu Bakr he stood and

[16:29]he asked rasulullah he points to the house of Imam Ali and

[16:33]Fatima he says is this one of those houses he tells them

[16:35]this is the best of those houses so this is a place

[16:41]there's a place that Allah wants people to remember shows us that

[16:52]after the people of the cave they go back in the cave

[16:57]there was a dispute amongst the people some people they said they

[17:00]come and they said let's build a wall and let's just close

[17:06]this down Allah says in the Quran is some people said close

[17:25]the cave foreign masjida the ones who were victorious they said this

[17:38]is going to be it became the grave of the people of

[17:42]the people who were victorious they said we're going to make this

[17:45]a Masjid not that we're going to worship these people but we're

[17:51]going these people remind us of God because there are certain individuals

[17:57]that remind us of Allah and Allah tells me associate yourself with

[18:02]whoever reminds you of God if there's someone that reminds you of

[18:05]Allah then you have to bring yourself close to that person you

[18:08]have to associate with that person you have to glorify the signs

[18:19]of God yes there were individuals that they used to come and

[18:23]take Graves of their forefathers and their forefathers were mushrikeen their forefathers

[18:30]were polytheists Islam comes and says no these Graves you should not

[18:34]you should not honor these Graves these Graves do not deserve to

[18:40]be honored however a grave of rasulullah or a grave of Imam

[18:42]and Hussein or a grave of Imam Ali or a grave of

[18:47]those individuals who remind us of God and you're not worshiping this

[18:52]individual then that is glorifying the signs of Allah and Allah wants

[18:57]us to glorify the sons of Allah Allah says the mountains they

[19:06]remind you of God so go and read Quran there go and

[19:08]remember these places so if something reminds you of Allah and it

[19:15]is legislated by God not something that you make on your own

[19:19]then you're allowed to visit that place and you're supposed to visit

[19:26]that place and Allah you know if it was he would have

[19:30]destroyed the grave of the prophets as well but there is a

[19:36]political reason why the grave of the Prophet was not destroyed otherwise

[19:41]the graves of the others they were destroyed so here we have

[19:48]many a Hadith we have many narrations he orders Muslims to visit

[19:55]his grave and today I find it ironic some people they come

[19:58]and they say well I don't I don't need to visit the

[20:01]grave of rasulullah I don't need to acting like the ziara of

[20:04]Imam Hussain for example is worth more than the ziara of rasulullah

[20:10]Hussein we have a duty to rasulullah you have to visit the

[20:17]prophet you have to show your love to rasulullah and when you're

[20:19]visiting Medina you're not only visiting rasulullah you're visiting the imams are

[20:26]visiting Fatima you're visiting you're seeing where Islam was built rasulullah says

[20:35]the one who performs Hajj and does not visit me then this

[20:43]person has neglected me and in another Hadith he says the one

[20:52]who visits me in my death after my life this person is

[20:57]just like the one who visited me during my life now some

[21:02]people they come and they say no rasulullah is dead rasulullah can't

[21:06]do anything for you he died is this your belief in rasulullah

[21:12]if that's your belief then why do you say salaam every day

[21:16]in our prayers don't aren't we ordered to send Salam and send

[21:24]salawat upon rasulullah if that is the belief then why are you

[21:27]sending salaam who are you sending salaam to doesn't the Quran tell

[21:30]us uh do not consider those who were slain in the way

[21:44]of Allah as dead they are alive when we visit him I

[21:54]bear witness that you listen to me you hear me and you

[21:59]reply back to me in fact after the battle of uhud and

[22:07]after the battle of Badr the prophet he started walking between those

[22:12]who were killed from the mushrakin and he was speaking to them

[22:15]he kept telling them he called them did you see what God

[22:20]had has done and he kept naming them one after the other

[22:23]and he spoke with them the Muslims who are you speaking to

[22:27]so Allah tells them they Hear What I Hear and they see

[22:34]everything except Allah has not given them permission to speak otherwise they

[22:38]hear the Salaam of course rasulullah here's the salaam and in fact

[22:47]the Quran orders the Muslims today some people they come and they

[22:51]say this concept of this is no the Quran says if they

[23:14]have oppressed themselves they come to you and next to you they

[23:20]ask Allah to forgive them and rasulullah asks Allah to forgive them

[23:25][Applause] because of the intercession of rasulullah so now when we go

[23:40]and we visit rasulullah that is the best place to do is

[23:43]that is the best place to do ibadah when we go and

[23:45]we visit Imam Hussain Allah will forgive you for your sins next

[23:50]to the grave of Imam Hussain the chances of your sins being

[23:53]forgiven next to the graves of the oliyah are much higher so

[24:02]this is the visitation of the grave of the prophet and the

[24:09]imams and the Olea and after the death of the Prophet the

[24:14]Muslims they came and they built a dome over the grave of

[24:19]the Prophet if building a dome is shirk is Haram then how

[24:22]did the sahaba of the Prophet how did they build the Dome

[24:26]over the grave of the prophet suddenly suddenly a hundred years ago

[24:31]the wahhabis and the salafis they realized that that's shirk if that

[24:36]was shook then why did the sahaba do it the sahaba were

[24:39]they committing by visiting the graves was the wives of the prophets

[24:46]and the companions of the Prophet were they Muslim because they allowed

[24:50]the building of the grave the wife of the prophets she mentions

[24:56]the wife of the Prophet she says he says in Medina there

[25:04]was a drought a very severe drought in Medina they come to

[25:09]us this is not in the sources they come and they tell

[25:15]her there's a drought what should we do she says go to

[25:25]the grave and have the Dome let there be above the Dome

[25:32]an opening that the grave is revealed to the sky meaning let

[25:35]there be a cover an opening in the dome foreign the year

[26:32]a grave is allowed and turning to a grave is allowed and

[26:40]nothing wrong with that a man comes to I Turn to You

[27:06]Through Your Prophet the prophet of mercy and through his household and

[27:16]through his household that you chose them over the universe make the

[27:25]difficulties of this problem easy for me and remove the evils of

[27:33]this let's try to memorize it and try to read it anytime

[27:41]you go through a problem this is a short Dua you ask

[28:06]Allah to do tawasul and salaam now some people they come and

[28:10]they say no Allah tells us in the Quran is accepted is

[28:21]if you're turning to an idol if you're turning to an idol

[28:26]that's Haram obviously but then if you're turning to certain individuals that

[28:31]Allah has allowed them to do shafa then there's nothing wrong with

[28:34]that who by the permission of God Allah allows certain individuals to

[28:48]perform the shafaa and the intercession we ask Allah to grant us

[28:54]the shafa of rasulullah the holy prophet he says will be the

[29:00]greatest on the day of judgment when everyone when everyone loses hope

[29:05]rasulullah will come and save us this is why we have to

[29:11]have a healthy relationship with the prophet and if we want a

[29:14]healthy relationship with rasulullah then that means we have to respect his

[29:18]family as well if I don't respect the family of the Prophet

[29:24]how can I expect the prophet to intercede for me the greatest

[29:28]the greatest gift the greatest form of Mercy after Allah and Allah

[29:38]tells him your Lord will give you until you are pleased and

[29:46]satisfied and Imam will not be satisfied until the Menin and the

[29:52]Believers they are all placed into Paradise we ask Allah to grant

[30:01]us and we ask Allah to haste in the reappearance of the

[30:09]Imam so that the graves of his fathers the graves of his

[30:14]grandparents the oliyah they are rebuilt and people could go and freely

[30:18]visit the family of the prophet in Madina without being assaulted without

[30:22]being harassed without being abused and called a kaffir and called a

[30:30]mushrik a is foreign
