[0:36]wabarakatuh allah subhanaw taala states in the holy quran and what he
[0:44]says is the truth in the chapter of Alpha chapter 89 verse
[0:49]15 allah subhanaw taala states so ml in san e de matar
[0:53]ahora booth acraman when anna kohlrabi acrimony and as for mankind if
[1:00]allah subhanaw taala tries him and tests him but this test specifically
[1:05]is annette he is gracious with him he gives him his blessings
[1:10]what does man say he says my lord has been gracious to
[1:17]me in the next verse allah subhanaw taala States who am Muhammad
[1:22]Allah federa Allah he respond fair kohlrabi a honey and as for
[1:28]when he tests him by tightening the noose on his sustenance he
[1:32]then says my lord has humiliated me sorrowful on a linoleum am
[1:41]Anabella brothers and sisters today our goal is to speak about trials
[1:45]and tribulations and we all know that the world is going through
[1:49]tough times struggles self-isolation social distancing not being able to decipher between
[1:57]truth and falsehood we spoke about misinformation in the last lecture today
[2:01]our goal is to talk about these trials and tribulations to try
[2:08]to understand them to do so our goal is to look at
[2:10]this topic from two perspectives from logical perspective specifically and from a
[2:17]an Islamic perspective I won't be speaking about the academic perspective today
[2:24]because in our last series we spoke about struggle and we had
[2:29]a whole lecture about it so those who want to understand struggle
[2:32]and please refer to that lecture in that past lecture series that
[2:36]we gave last year all right so let's start with our logical
[2:40]understanding and reasoning of trials and tribulations and again I have to
[2:46]start with a reference point right I know that life is limited
[2:52]I know that my Creator is unlimited I know therefore that he
[2:59]is perfect and I know that he chose for me to exist
[3:02]I know that he is purposeful therefore I have purpose I know
[3:08]that my purpose is to show gratitude to my creator because he
[3:14]has the greatest right upon me he has the greatest writer Mon
[3:20]upon me because he created me because he chosen me because he
[3:24]honored me and he gave me the opportunity to know him and
[3:31]thank him and love him and honor him how with my intellect
[3:35]with my intellect I realized his presence with my heart with my
[3:44]heart I chose to follow him with my soul which I dedicated
[3:49]to him and with my faculties with which I manifest what is
[3:55]within me towards him my appreciation and my gratitude so why does
[4:05]he test me he tests me because he wants me to see
[4:11]one the level of my gratitude he wants to see the level
[4:18]of my gratitude he wants to see if I will remember him
[4:20]he wants to see if I will reach out to him first
[4:24]and he wants to see if I will depend on him or
[4:30]depend on others he also wants to give me a gauge a
[4:38]gauge by which I can measure my own actions through you my
[4:57]time where am I now and where I and where do I
[5:07]want to be where should I be now and what will I
[5:12]do about it today as opposed to tomorrow because you see when
[5:15]I face an affliction tomorrow doesn't matter anymore and what I did
[5:21]in the past just becomes something that causes me pain why because
[5:25]I realize how much time I wasted because I realized how little
[5:31]how little I appreciated what I had and how much I took
[5:37]for granted so what will I do about it now will I
[5:46]be thankful for this wake-up call will I take it as a
[5:55]call to action will I change you see then this trial and
[5:58]tribulation if I look at it beyond the fact that it's a
[6:03]sign of my limitation and it's an opportunity for me to show
[6:06]appreciation to my Creator it becomes an important gauge of my relationship
[6:15]with my Creator I gauge my relationship with Allah this way the
[6:22]stronger my relationship is with Allah the more dependent I would be
[6:30]on him and the more dependent I will be on him the
[6:34]closer I am to him and the closer I Anton the more
[6:43]beloved I am if I remember him in this world then he
[6:47]will not only remember me in this world but he will remember
[6:51]me in the Hereafter however if my relationship is weaker with him
[7:01]then that means I'm less dependent upon him and if I'm less
[7:05]dependent upon him then I'm farther away from him and if I'm
[7:10]farther away from him then I forgotten him and if I forgot
[7:16]him in this world then he will forget me in this world
[7:19]and in the Hereafter so then we understand that this trial doesn't
[7:28]just become an opportunity to come closer to Allah to show my
[7:33]appreciation and gratitude but it becomes also a way to assess where
[7:41]I am now a way to assess my deficiencies how little I've
[7:44]given how little I've done how many of us after the coronavirus
[7:56]hit and we didn't know what was true from falsehood and we
[7:59]were told to self isolated socially distance and stay at home how
[8:03]many of us thought oh my god I wish I could go
[8:08]to the mosque oh my god I wish I had gone tan
[8:14]seen my mother I wish I had gone and seen my father
[8:15]I wish I had been nice to this person and those who
[8:22]got sick with kovat 19 even more that when they were afflicted
[8:29]with this sickness what happens right away and by the way this
[8:33]applies to those who didn't even get covered 19 those who had
[8:38]just a regular flu or cold the fear factor that was involved
[8:41]that everybody felt when they were in such a situation of maybe
[8:44]this might be their last opportunity to do something good now either
[8:53]we sat back on our laurels and we said you know what
[8:59]I'm just going to get depressed because I haven't achieved what I
[9:02]wanted to achieve in life or we say well what can I
[9:08]do now because I know I can't change the past because if
[9:10]I sit and I dwell on all of the past things that
[9:15]I missed the opportunities that I'll never get now then surely I
[9:22]will fall into a deep dark abyss of depression but now I'm
[9:31]forced to think about my situation at this point in time what
[9:36]can I do to be able to change the outcome because I
[9:42]know that the outcome right now for me is bad I know
[9:45]that for a fact I haven't done enough I didn't read Quran
[9:49]enough I wasn't good enough I wasn't kind enough I wasn't charitable
[9:54]enough am I going to do about it now if this was
[10:01]the last breath that I had to take if this was the
[10:08]last opportunity that I had on earth a month to a week
[10:11]or two or three now things are serious now the covers and
[10:18]the veils have been removed from my eyes now I see the
[10:23]reality of set of things why did it take all this for
[10:29]me to see the truth why was I so heedless why was
[10:37]I so unkind why was I so forgetful of my lord of
[10:44]my responsibilities what is wrong with me while right now the good
[10:52]news is the good news is you see clearly you understand that
[11:01]the actions that we might have done before that were less than
[11:07]righteous now we see the reality of them we see that our
[11:14]backbiting is like eating the flesh of our Brotherhood of our brethren
[11:19]we see that lying is like a decaying smell that comes out
[11:24]of our mouth and goes into the heavens only to be frowned
[11:30]upon by allah subhanaw taala and his angels we see that maybe
[11:35]when our eyes looked at something that was Haram and we didn't
[11:39]cast our gaze now we think and we know and we realize
[11:44]that I'm going to get punished for this and we almost feel
[11:47]the pain now we realize a level of your pain a level
[11:52]of certainty that we didn't have before so how will it be
[11:59]when death actually comes knocking on our door now is the time
[12:07]to change what little time I have left what little opportunity I
[12:12]have left what remaining breaths I have I dedicate to Allah and
[12:19]allah subhanaw taala has not left me all by myself I know
[12:26]that he is merciful exactly like someone who is drowning in an
[12:30]ocean I realize that neither my mother nor my father nor my
[12:36]sister nor my friend Norma can help and I reach out to
[12:45]the only thing that can la you see me oh Allah help
[12:57]me please Allah change what is within me fix me mend me
[13:05]help me oh Allah save me and Allah answers the call he
[13:18]gives me the month of ramadhan hola I think to myself Allah
[13:29]is greater than any struggle and any trial that I could ever
[13:32]go through and that Allah would never burden me with more than
[13:37]I can handle Allah so benevolent and merciful that even in this
[13:45]trial and tribulation what does he place before me the hopes that
[13:48]come with the month of Rajab and the month of Shaban and
[13:55]the month of Ramadhan no one leaves this month a sinner everyone
[14:02]is absolved of their sins forgiven for only a deviant the Prophet
[14:07]says will not receive a loss forgiveness in this month our breaths
[14:20]are an exaltation our sleep is worship every good deed that we
[14:28]do is worth 10 fold and every good deed erases 10 bad
[14:37]deeds how even this month without being reborn allah subhanho Tejada tells
[14:48]us beautifully in the Holy Quran he says I know how you
[14:51]are I know how you think I know how you can be
[14:59]forgetful I want you to say he says I want you to
[15:04]say in the chapter of an got a chapter 2 verse 186
[15:07]Allah says say not been allowed to Akkad Nana sina pona oh
[15:15]allah do not hold us responsible and punish us if we forget
[15:21]if we forget to you if we forget our value and our
[15:27]Worth and we mistreat ourselves even though you always treat us well
[15:33]even though we go off the path you bring us back with
[15:38]a test that at first glance we think how terrible a test
[15:43]why do I have to go through this but I realized that
[15:46]with every single trial and tribulation that I go through it's a
[15:49]blessing from you because I always come out stronger I always come
[16:00]out better I always come out more immune I become resilient I
[16:08]lose and shed my skin of weakness oh allah do not hold
[16:17]me responsible if i have made a mess if I was forgetful
[16:24]notice how Allah speaks to me and tells me this is how
[16:27]you should address me I know you will be forgetful I know
[16:31]that you will make mistakes but remember me Allah says in the
[16:41]Holy Quran erroneous telecom call upon me remember me he doesn't need
[16:47]to tell me that imagine how benevolent and how kind and how
[16:55]merciful Allah is how he speaks to me he tells me listen
[17:00]this is what I want you to say and I want you
[17:06]to emulate me say after me I've been allowed to occurred now
[17:09]in the sea now robbing a lot ml Elena is Ron Kamehameha
[17:15]who Alan Levine Amanda ballina but now without you have Mahna Mahna
[17:20]topit allah o allah do not hold us responsible if we forget
[17:28]or if we make mistakes la do not burden us with more
[17:38]than what we can handle Allah tells me that in times such
[17:46]as this also in the chapter of Al Baqarah he says was
[17:50]turning on the sobrino Salah seek refuge in patience and in prayer
[17:56]so Allah not only gives me the trial he tells me how
[18:02]to navigate through it he tells me how to deal with it
[18:09]he knows that at the beginning if I am forgetful if I
[18:12]do make the mistake of forgetting the purpose for which I was
[18:18]created and that leads me on the path of heedlessness that veers
[18:24]me and deviates me off acidophilus to pain so much so that
[18:28]I will be like that person whom Allah describes in the chapter
[18:35]of Federman where allah subhanaw taala says ooh a man in sauna
[18:41]elemental Abu Akram ah who wanna an Abu Fayed or a big
[18:46]one and as for mankind that when allah subhanaw taala is gracious
[18:50]to him and blesses him with sustenance or does he say he
[18:54]says oh allah was gracious with me you remember me then Allah
[19:01]says but then when I hit you with a calamity what I
[19:04]decrease your sustenance who am i Adama to Allah who notice both
[19:12]artists and as for when he tests him again Federer Allah he
[19:16]respond he decreases his sustenance they are cooler of beer honey he
[19:21]says god humiliated me why why when both are tests why is
[19:27]it so easy for us to remember Allah at the beginning when
[19:31]we received the blessing only to become heedless and taken for granted
[19:38]and then when he comes around with a calamity for us to
[19:44]remind us of our place on his earth to remind us how
[19:46]minuscule and insignificant we are and how great he is and what
[19:55]an opportunity is afforded us to know him to appreciate that we
[20:03]would look at the calamity as a disgrace so Allah affords us
[20:12]the opportunity through calamity to contemplate and to think to look deep
[20:20]within ourselves and to contemplate affiliative a coruña mosses affiliated a Beruna
[20:28]mosses fli of Cahoon do they not understand do they not take
[20:31]the time to understand do they not contemplate and think surely Allah
[20:39]has blessed us with great intellects but you know with the hustle
[20:46]and bustle of life with all of the background noise with all
[20:48]of the social media with all of the notifications with how busy
[20:58]we are gaining money thinking about materialistic games Neffs anchors us deeper
[21:07]and deeper into this earth into this materialistic world and the needs
[21:13]so what does Allah do he says let me help you because
[21:19]you can't help yourself let me uproot these roots for you let
[21:24]me remind you of who you are and why you're here Allah
[21:26]says in the Holy Quran really beautifully he says in the chapter
[21:35]of a monk verse to chapter 67 verse 2 he says a
[21:40]levy hell up and mount awhile high otta he had blue become
[21:45]Allah created death and life why so that he may test you
[21:52]and try you to see a you Kumasi know Allah which of
[21:55]you is most righteous in deeds that's the purpose of the test
[22:01]that's the purpose of the trial there is no other purpose of
[22:04]this life the only purpose of this life is for Allah Almighty
[22:10]to see which of us is best and most righteous in deeds
[22:13]why because our goal is to show him that we realized that
[22:20]the reason why we are here is because of him we realized
[22:24]that the opportunity he has afforded us truly is to know him
[22:32]and be thankful to him to be thankful and to appreciate everything
[22:37]the ability to think and the ability to understand and the ability
[22:43]to communicate and the opportunity to talk to him to thank him
[22:52]with our hearts and with our minds and with our souls and
[22:59]with every single sense and faculty that we have a la several
[23:08]places says this is why you're here who and levy helices Sumati
[23:13]well our guy says he is the one who created the heavens
[23:18]and the earth he said Tateyama in six days Makana allah awj
[23:22]he he Alma area bluer and he was on his throne proverbially
[23:29]why looking over you seeing what you do with the tests that
[23:37]he is afforded Leah blue acum hey you come ascend la mala
[23:40]which of you is best in deeds this is what Allah says
[23:46]in the chapter of who chapter 11 verse 7 in the chapter
[23:54]of an and I'm six verse 165 chapter 6 verse 165 Allah
[24:00]says who led Allah come kala a fella he says he has
[24:02]made you caliphs on this earth leaders on this earth what author
[24:12]about local folk above and he elevated some of you and status
[24:15]over others why have you become he says to test you to
[24:22]try you to see will you be appreciative of what you have
[24:28]how will you treat allah subhana wa ta'ala at every single level
[24:33]of your life in every single status that you're in that he
[24:38]affords me what I was lowly and didn't know him and when
[24:45]I elevated myself when I discovered him and realized how did that
[24:51]change me how did that change how I navigate through my relationships
[25:02]what did that do to me how did it change me did
[25:07]I change when he gave me more more wealth was I still
[25:12]the same humble guy I was when I was born did I
[25:18]continue to remember him or was I heedless and forgetful and busied
[25:26]with everything that is materialistic in this world a loss of Hinata
[25:37]Allah then reflects for us in these verses that the reason for
[25:41]us being here is the test the reason for us being here
[25:47]is the test it's not any other reason and why is that
[25:56]why is the test so important because it is through the test
[26:02]that we increase our proximity to our Lord when our intellects are
[26:12]tied to our Creator when that realization falls upon us when the
[26:22]reality becomes clear as it is today now I appreciate everything around
[26:34]me now I care about my neighbor and I realize his value
[26:38]because if I didn't connect with him before now I need him
[26:42]more than before what I didn't connect with my parents and my
[26:49]cousins and my uncles and my aunts I realized now that had
[26:53]I done so then I would have had someone to go to
[26:59]but now I'm all alone and I realized that even in this
[27:06]situation if I am afflicted with the sickness that nobody can help
[27:13]me except for a long so now then is the time to
[27:19]realize that it is through the trials that I understand the mercy
[27:23]of Allah it is through these trials that allah subhanaw taala has
[27:30]given me the opportunity to assess where I am to assess my
[27:40]relationship with him and I thank Allah that I wasn't afflicted by
[27:43]a sudden death because then I won't have had the opportunity to
[27:46]realize the error of my ways the forgetfulness that I suffered from
[27:54]you see it is in the chapter of Al Baqarah where allah
[27:56]subhanaw taala says west a noble sabri wa salatu wa l-akhirin in
[28:01]la faccia him that I realize that now more than any other
[28:08]time the way that I have to deal with this trial first
[28:12]and foremost is I have to go back to him and I
[28:17]have to pray more and I have to fast more and Allah
[28:18]brings me the month of Ramadan to force me to understand this
[28:24]concept he gives me the month of Ramadan as a gift he
[28:26]allows me to live to the time of the month of Ramadan
[28:30]and how thankful I am because I know that I'm not heedless
[28:35]in my small I asked that allah subhanho dada allows us to
[28:39]come closer to him in this month to realize his true importance
[28:45]in our lives to realize that for me to be God conscious
[28:48]and to be given that gift in the month of Ramadan without
[28:54]even having to think twice about it but even if I didn't
[28:59]realize it and I was deep in depression that the month of
[29:01]ramadhan has awakened my heart and my soul has made my intellect
[29:11]blossom and my heart brightened with the noon of this beautiful month
[29:17]which brings me closer - which brings me closer to prostration which
[29:24]causes the sense to fall off my shoulders it makes me lighter
[29:34]more able to communicate with my because now I know that surely
[29:43]I am from Allah and that to he I shall return and
[29:47]now I will wake up and I will do something about it
[29:52]and I will change I ask that allah subhanaw taala allows us
[29:55]to change I ask that surely allah subhanaw taala wants us to
[29:59]change so that then he can he sit in the appearance of
[30:03]a Hodja his representative on this earth i asked that allah subhanaw
[30:08]taala gives us the opportunity to serve him to connect with him
[30:13]to come closer to allah subhanaw taala through him i asked that
[30:18]allah subhanaw taala bestows his mercy on our dearly departed gives health
[30:22]to all those who are sick allows humanity to realize a loss
[30:26]of honor to Allah to become Muslim to become believers before Darwin
[30:34]and in hamdu lillahi rabbil alameen or salat wa salam ala sayyidal
[30:38]mursaleen habib allah allah ameen a bit apostle and Mustafa Muhammad what
[30:43]an elevated thiamine apology me well Fatiha a water more for me
[30:54]long salli ala muhammad okay so insha'Allah and so insha'Allah we have
[31:03]some questions I have a question here that says so if you
[31:06]have any questions please do send them in the either on the
[31:14]YouTube or on the on the Instagram and inshallah we'll get to
[31:19]your questions all right so we have a question that says with
[31:25]all the social media being introduced to our parents they seem highly
[31:29]susceptible to misinformation how can I get my mom to stop believing
[31:33]this false information okay so this question came to us from brother
[31:36]Jamil he asked this question yesterday and but we weren't able to
[31:46]get to it so that's a great question the topic of misinformation
[31:51]we think that the people that are misinformed are those who are
[31:56]far away from us but in reality we realize quite often that
[32:02]many of our relatives send us messages that they haven't even verified
[32:06]so let's make a covenant right now at least we start with
[32:09]ourselves because in a lot a way you know my opponent how
[32:13]available might be answering allah subhanaw taala says he says allah does
[32:15]not change of people until they change what is within themselves so
[32:18]we start with ourselves you make your covenant to allah all together
[32:20]raise your right hand it has everybody got their right hand up
[32:24]I don't see you some I trust that you have right hand
[32:26]is a and I want you to promise a loss of Hannah
[32:28]tada I make a covenant with Allah right now in front of
[32:32]all of you and with you that I will not disseminate any
[32:34]misinformation I will not disseminate any information that I received on any
[32:41]form of media social media or otherwise any sort of communication that
[32:45]I receive without verifying and checking it first not with my neighbor
[32:50]who doesn't know any better than I do not with my friend
[32:54]who doesn't know any better than I do but with the experts
[32:56]and that if I can't verify that information then certainly I will
[33:03]not send it out I will not send it so that's them
[33:06]that's step number one step number two now that we've done we've
[33:12]made this promise and we're going to abide by it the next
[33:14]thing that I have to do is I have to now speak
[33:20]kindly to my parents so I know for example that my mother
[33:24]sometimes she'll send the message from whatsapp she wasn't she used to
[33:31]do this where you know and she might not have checked it
[33:34]verified it and she'll send it out and you know I had
[33:39]a I told her I told her you know my dear beloved
[33:44]mother I love you so much you've taught me so much by
[33:46]the way that's the etiquette of asking the first thing you always
[33:50]do is you butter people up this is what we do not
[33:52]do i inshallah if you review last year's lecture on Doha you'll
[33:57]see that that's how you start when you ask Allah right and
[33:59]you always make sure that you have someone to intercede for you
[34:02]someone close to them okay so if you're asking your dad make
[34:08]sure you go through your mom right so I say to my
[34:14]mother I say my dear beloved mom you raised me and you
[34:17]taught me and you guided me to a little bit by a
[34:22]little bit who you guided me to please before you send any
[34:29]messages that have to do with this specific topic I found it
[34:32]was just a specific topic please send them to me first I'd
[34:36]like to see them before you send them out because I'm not
[34:38]so sure some of this information is a hundred percent right and
[34:42]we might cause people to fall into errors god forbid and we
[34:50]wouldn't want that on our conscience I'm a sister in the session
[34:54]yesterday last night and the discussion we're having in another zone session
[34:57]she said you know a good way to do it is you
[35:03]know to be creative right so not necessarily tell them right away
[35:06]but you know kind of send them a message that's completely you
[35:13]know out in left field and see how they react and then
[35:17]tell them you know what would you think of that message and
[35:21]when they say well why did you send that message I hope
[35:24]you didn't sent it to anybody else will say well I'll make
[35:27]sure that I don't next time right and then if they do
[35:30]do that if they end up sending a message that's completely left
[35:36]field later on then you can basically check them on it right
[35:40]another way also is for you to verify the information with that
[35:43]individual if they're your parents hey mom you know I received this
[35:49]message what do you think of it do you think it's from
[35:50]a credible source that that's a way for them to be aware
[35:56]that maybe they might not be sending a verified message right just
[35:59]like any mom has I never signed it with the older gentleman
[36:02]who didn't know how to do they went up to him they
[36:07]said please check our world so always keep you know the elderly
[36:13]in mind if they're older we know that the Prophet SAW Allah
[36:15]values in them says what piripi welcome right well Hamas is Oracle
[36:18]so if this is appearing from an elderly person make sure you
[36:23]show them the utmost respect and dignity just like in mum Hasan
[36:25]who signed it and if they're younger than you make sure that
[36:27]you show them mercy so don't berate them just because they did
[36:31]something wrong or they sent out their own message or something like
[36:36]that be kind and gentle with them another question is States my
[36:41]family uses two apps for the Adhan but they both have like
[36:44]a 10 minute variation do you have a specific app that is
[36:49]correct when it comes to add-on time okay so this is a
[36:51]very good question in one of the knowledge seekers groups that I
[36:57]run those of you who know me know that I have whatsapp
[37:01]knowledge seekers groups in every city that I go to usually you
[37:05]know I add people to after I give a lecture series I
[37:10]add them to a group called knowledge knowledge seekers so having knowledge
[37:13]seekers in Seattle have another seekers in LA have a knowledge seekers
[37:16]in in Dearborn and all seekers in Canada and in a few
[37:24]in a couple of places in Canada so the that question was
[37:29]actually posed also but what they did was they sent the actual
[37:36]prayer schedule from different mosques in their area and they said why
[37:41]is there a discrepancy so this is similar to the idea of
[37:44]the apps so a lot of people they think that you know
[37:48]these mosques or these apps they actually come up with this information
[37:52]you know out of nowhere and the reality is they don't the
[37:55]reality is that they go back to information that has been recorded
[38:01]from years and years and years and that complete compilation of information
[38:04]about sunrises and sunsets actually shows a pattern of sunrise and sunset
[38:10]okay similar to the issue of the the crescent moon when it
[38:17]comes to the astronomical data and so what they do then is
[38:21]they basically add a certain amount of buffer space buffer time that
[38:26]allows for a standard of error right and so you exercise precaution
[38:32]in that time now when we asked the Megerian I Jeff and
[38:37]and their respected representatives they said very clearly Grand Ayatollah said a
[38:47]sustained ease office specifically said the you know if there's an increase
[38:54]for example if you find the discrepancy between one mosque and another
[38:59]in the prayer time you know in calculating that time first of
[39:03]all there's a difference between the time of Fedya asada confessor Academy
[39:06]it's very hard for most people to know the difference between the
[39:10]false fed job and the truth ledger right so what they do
[39:14]is they provide that buffer space the same thing with method right
[39:17]many people they have a hard time recognizing method okay even though
[39:20]the surefire way to non negative is to just go outside right
[39:26]and look towards the east if the redness in the sky has
[39:30]disappeared then that means it's definitely time for method okay and when
[39:35]the the time when you look at the West and you see
[39:41]it's completely dark that there's no redness in the West then that's
[39:45]literally the best time to pray a shot that's called water Felina
[39:48]for Asia all right so Lord everybody knows it's when the the
[39:54]Sun is in the highest point of the sky so when it
[39:56]comes to method it when it comes to the Lord it's easy
[40:00]for you to just simply step outside and and take a look
[40:03]unless of course it's a cloudy day okay um but what these
[40:09]centers so generalists generously do and what these apps so generalists generously
[40:15]do is they provide this a means for us you know not
[40:18]to have to burden ourselves and go out and Chuck okay may
[40:24]Allah bless them but this is a great responsibility on their shoulders
[40:28]so generally you find those centers that have people who understand how
[40:33]the calculations occurred and those who have studied in the house that
[40:36]the Messiah can say it's who have studied in the house' they
[40:43]will always give extra time for precaution and and that's actually a
[40:48]good thing the more time you give the more precautious you are
[40:51]and the more the more certain you are that that you are
[40:56]within the time so for example let's take Federer for example okay
[40:59]now we know that in reality even though there is a word
[41:03]called emsac right which means you refrain from eating let's say 5
[41:09]10 15 20 minutes before the time for a van because it's
[41:12]hard to ascertain exactly the time of a Don you know that
[41:18]if you stop before maybe 5 minutes before or 10 minutes before
[41:21]or even 20 minutes before depending on your area then you're going
[41:26]to be precautious right and that precaution is needed in Islam right
[41:31]remember Prophet Muhammad SAW Allah Allah value selim when Imam Ali asked
[41:35]him he said what is the best thing that we can do
[41:38]in the month of Ramadan he said tewara and Muharram Allah he
[41:43]says make sure that you exercise precaution not to fall into the
[41:47]prohibitions of Allah so break and avoid before you even get there
[41:49]right so in this case if we want to realize the actual
[41:53]time then what we do is we make sure that we stop
[41:55]eating because we're not sure of the actual 100% the fetch of
[42:00]time we know that it's around this area so it's better to
[42:03]give to her on the on the side of precaution right and
[42:07]stop eating a little earlier because nobody really knows exactly the exact
[42:12]time ok unless maybe it's very clear to them and they have
[42:15]um training and doing so but MMS in most cases that isn't
[42:22]the case and so that's why we depend on these apps and
[42:24]we and and we appreciate that time that extra buffer time that
[42:31]they give us right and it could be the case for example
[42:33]for negative if you live in an area that has a lot
[42:37]of mountains ok or that's constantly cloudy like in Seattle for example
[42:41]right or in certain areas in LA that there are closer to
[42:46]that to the mountains so that's really why that happens so you
[42:52]don't necessarily have to pick up another app ok but I would
[43:00]you know the best way to to to navigate through these things
[43:03]is to have knowledge and so what I was trying to do
[43:05]was explain to you what you need to know so that we
[43:08]can appreciate why it is that they do what they do and
[43:11]that is why they have these little changes between the send different
[43:14]slight differences between the schedules of the centers because some may are
[43:18]on the side of precaution maybe more than others and that's a
[43:20]good thing that's not a bad thing so we shouldn't feel bad
[43:24]about that I know that when it comes to the town okay
[43:25]everybody just wants to eat first right so they'll probably go with
[43:28]the lowest number but you know I mean you waited all day
[43:33]right so what's a few more seconds or a couple more minutes
[43:36]right yeah I don't recommend a specific app but just know that
[43:45]most apps are quite similar okay so just maintain that buffer is
[43:49]what I would tell you to all right someone asks here can
[43:56]I use an inhaler if I'm fasting yes you can and now
[44:01]you I use an inhaler every now and then and I know
[44:02]that one I do puffs when I want to actually puff the
[44:06]air into my throat that there's this residue and the doctors they
[44:10]always say you know make sure you gargle and spit out the
[44:14]residue don't swallow it so the same rule applies here so when
[44:18]you do use your inhaler don't swallow that residue okay because that'll
[44:24]go into your stomach the the inhaler the medicine actually goes into
[44:30]your lungs right but the residue that it leaves on in the
[44:35]back of your mouth and on your throat if you swallow it'll
[44:38]actually go down your esophagus into your stomach and that'll break your
[44:41]fast so if you did that intentionally and you didn't know you
[44:49]know that's fine I would say that just in case right you
[44:51]you maybe you need to check and you didn't check right still
[44:57]make it up after the month of ramadhan is is over if
[45:00]if you had you know a suspicion but if you didn't know
[45:06]it all right and then you're not held responsible so but now
[45:10]you know so make sure that you don't swallow that residue okay
[45:14]so it's okay to use an inhaler but don't swallow the rest
[45:17]do you have any other questions brother Ani okay looks like we
[45:26]don't have any more questions so I asked you that you remember
[45:28]me in your da inshallah you will all be in mine until
[45:34]tomorrow assalamualaikum warahmatullah wabarakatuh
