[0:14]muhammad brothers and sisters the greatest night of the year has finally

[0:33]approached the says you can never imagine you can never comprehend the

[0:48]greatness of laylatul i mentioned it is one night but it is

[0:58]greater than 30 000 nights 30 000 nights my friends is approximately

[1:04]83.5 years that's an entire lifespan many of us maybe we won't

[1:09]even live that much tonight allah has allowed you and enabled you

[1:14]and given you the opportunity to earn more good deeds than 83

[1:22]years of life someone could be spending 83 years of ibadah worship

[1:27]you can do more you can achieve more within seven eight nine

[1:31]hours tonight it's only gonna be about eight to nine hours these

[1:37]eight to nine hours they may be short in their quantity but

[1:40]in their quality and what you can achieve in them is greater

[1:46]than 83.5 years it's greater than 1000 months it's not equal it's

[1:51]greater so allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has given you the opportunity brothers

[1:54]and sisters of a lifetime tonight do one good deed i will

[2:01]multiply it by thirty thousand times so do not waste it brothers

[2:03]and sisters do not go and sleep because i have school tomorrow

[2:07]we have because i have work you will regret it on the

[2:11]day of judgment it's only one night of the year and you

[2:13]spend sleeping your tests can wait go and talk to your teacher

[2:18]tell him this is the most holy night of my year i

[4:10]jannah do a good deed for them that whoever repents on this

[4:21]night whoever comes and asks for forgiveness he will forgive you no

[4:30]and sisters that when fajr comes when the fajr comes you see

[4:36]that you wake up with a different feeling tomorrow because you are

[4:41]not burdened with those sins on your back anymore you are sinless

[4:45]it's so easy allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has given you that easy

[4:49]opportunity spend the night in ibadah and allah will erase all your

[4:53]sins it doesn't matter how many and it doesn't matter how great

[5:07]that you should spend in du'a so take a few moments tonight

[7:10]year this will all be decided tonight and then the imam says

[7:14]your sustenance whether you will get a good job this year or

[7:19]not whether you will make good money in your business or not

[7:24]will all be decided this year al-imam al-baqar says and then the

[7:29]imam says ludin if you will have a child this year for

[7:33]those married couples if they want a child you don't know will

[7:38]allah grant you the child this year or not tonight it will

[7:40]be written brothers and sisters that follow hamadan let's say they will

[7:46]be given a beautiful baby boy or son this will all be

[7:49]decided tonight if i will get married some individuals they're they're searching

[7:55]for their soul mates this will all be decided tonight and finally

[8:01]the imam says and if it is meant that i will die

[8:07]this year allah will write it tonight you know individuals that died

[8:10]of covet this past year don't think it was spontaneous last year

[8:15]allah determined that they will die in 2022.

[8:19]those individuals that died in 2022 of kovid allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

[8:29]wrote all of that but we don't know it so allah subhanahu

[8:33]wa ta'ala writes everything will i get sick this year or not

[8:37]there may be new strains of covet we don't know will i

[8:41]be sick will i not be sick this is all decided tonight

[8:46]allah says that this person because he did dua to me and

[8:48]he asked for protection i will write for him that he will

[8:53]be spared or if he is afflicted by the virus it will

[8:55]be easy it will be just like a flu and he will

[8:58]be okay but for other individuals may write that this is the

[9:27]you don't ask maybe allah won't write good things for you you

[9:46]it comes to the brothers and sisters when you have your session

[9:51]last night i said you should have your tawba session 15 20

[9:54]minutes sit by yourself shed some tears and repent to allah show

[9:57]him that you feel bad for the sins that you did you

[10:01]should have another session also 15 20 minutes that's the session brothers

[10:07]and sisters sit by yourself and do dua two points about this

[10:12]number one make sure you follow the etiquettes of dua the imams

[10:18]of tell us sometimes your dua is not answered because you don't

[10:22]follow the etiquettes of dua there are etiquettes to du'a allah wants

[10:25]you to do dua in a specific way when you don't follow

[10:30]that specific way maybe allah won't give you what you need amongst

[10:32]the etiquettes of brothers and sisters is to always begin by doing

[10:39]dua for others put yourself on the end of the list let's

[10:43]say i want to do du'a for 200 people tonight these are

[10:51]should be number 200 when allah sees that spirit of selflessness that

[11:01]more inclined to give you what you want because some people when

[11:05]they do dua it's all about them selfishness ya allah give me

[11:07]this give me that they don't remember anyone else maybe when they

[11:10]finish they remember their family members and friends this is a selfish

[11:13]individual allah may give you but he's not going to be too

[11:19]inclined to give you because he sees the selfishness allah wants to

[11:23]see selflessness he wants to see you caring about others altruism and

[11:27]imam al-hasan al-mustapha alayhi salaam says when i was a young child

[11:33]i saw my mother she spent the entire night ibada and she

[11:36]did for everyone but she didn't do dua for herself i was

[11:39]waiting what is she going to do to out for herself she

[11:43]didn't do dua for herself i asked her my dear mother you

[11:48]did dua for everyone except for yourself when you do du'a you

[11:56]always think about others first your neighbors your family members your friends

[12:01]and then you do for yourself so tonight when you sit and

[12:07]you do begin brothers and sisters by doing du'a for others and

[12:10]then put yourself in the bottom of the list listen to what

[12:15]ali says you want the best way that allah gives you what

[12:28]you want tonight is the night of destiny the imam says do

[12:33]dua for at least 40 people 40 people that you know believers

[12:35]in the community in the world and then put yourself in the

[12:40]bottom of the list make yourself number 41.

[12:43]this is the minimum 40 you could do for much more 100

[12:46]1000 whatever you want he says if you do it in this

[12:51]way you do do for others and then you put yourself in

[12:53]the bottom of the list allah will give you what you want

[12:56]and allah will give them what they want so when you do

[12:58]dua for them allah will give them and he will give you

[13:02]so teach yourself brothers and sisters even when you go for ziara

[13:05]don't begin with yourselves begin with your loved ones who do i

[13:11]begin with the bait even tell us the sequence who's the first

[13:15]person you do to out for who asantum you do dua for

[13:22]the person you love most brothers and sisters on this earth and

[13:26]that is any time you do to brothers and sisters make sure

[13:33]the first person you do dua for islam for him ask allah

[14:00]his heart ask allah to prolong his life ask allah to fulfill

[14:03]his wishes always begin your dua now you may say wait a

[14:25]this is wrong because number one even though that's right the imam

[14:29]doesn't need our du'a but when we do du'a for him it

[14:34]shows that we care for him we are showing him that we

[14:38]love him that we think about him imagine if a young child

[14:40]comes and tells you i did for you won't that make you

[14:45]happy i said is this child's gonna be accepted i don't know

[14:48]sometimes some people they're not even religious they tell you we did

[14:53]dua for you that makes you happy why it's not necessarily because

[14:56]their dua is gonna be answered it's because when they did du'a

[15:00]for you that shows you that they cared for you that they

[15:04]loved you when sahaba was sees all his millions of them they're

[15:09]all doing dua for him do you know how proud that makes

[15:13]him do you know how happy that makes him he sees alhamdulillah

[16:41]your generosity is so great that even the stingy one you will

[16:43]be generous with him al-imam al-mahdi is also the jawad brothers and

[16:47]sisters he is the generous when you give him a small he

[16:52]will give you so much back he will take a moment from

[16:57]his and he will remember you by name allahu akbar can you

[17:02]imagine if you are told al-imam al-mahdi he mentioned your name ya

[17:06]allah i ask you to protect brother muhammad brother ali zainab fatima

[17:11]if you do dua for him by name wallahi brothers and sisters

[17:15]he will do to our free because he is a generous person

[17:18]he's a generous person no way you do a favor for him

[17:21]you do do out for him and then he neglects you he

[17:26]forgets you never so do do and he will do dua for

[17:30]you and one of the most beautiful duats to read tonight you

[17:33]can find it in mafate it is recommended to recite this over

[18:17]protect him we ask you to be his dalil to be his

[18:19]guide and we ask you to what we ask you to fulfill

[19:18]them ask allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to comfort them in their grave

[19:21]ask allah to elevate their status on the day of judgment ask

[19:26]allah to unite them with do not neglect your parents if they

[19:29]have died and then you move on to whom to your spouse

[19:33]your children your family members your uncles and aunts mention them by

[19:40]name brothers and sisters don't be lazy ya allah i do dua

[19:42]for all my family no my ammo fulan fulla and my mention

[19:53]it takes me maybe 10-15 minutes to remember all my relatives the

[19:56]bigger the family is the more time these are one of the

[19:58]times where it's not good to have a big family because you'll

[20:04]do this because you're showing that you care you're showing allah that

[20:08]spirit of altruism and selflessness that i'm willing to take from my

[20:15]laylatal for them allah will give you much more brothers and sisters

[20:19]because of that so remember your extended family members mention them by

[20:24]name even your second cousin your third cousin you have relatives in

[20:28]lebanon and iraq and sir and pakistan and mention them name by

[20:32]name mention everyone you know in your community anyone you know in

[20:37]the world brothers and sisters set 20 minutes 30 minutes and remember

[20:41]all of them brothers and sisters and then do a general du'a

[20:45]for all the believers of the believers in pakistan afghanistan brothers and

[20:50]sisters every day we're hearing of tragedies happening in afghanistan dude for

[20:55]them the shia of albeit in lebanon and syria and iraq all

[20:58]over the middle east everywhere do a general du'a for all of

[21:04]them so this is brothers and sisters the first point when it

[21:07]comes to ada the etiquettes of dua make sure you follow them

[21:12]tonight number two what should i ask for when it's my turn

[21:15]i finished everyone i'm the last one what do i ask for

[21:20]myself brothers and sisters ask for anything you want but many times

[21:25]unfortunately we forget about the most important things the dua is always

[21:29]for our dunya we want to be rich we want to be

[21:33]wealthy i want this job i want that i want this girl

[21:36]i want that guy it's all dunya that's fine but remember that

[21:39]you have brothers and sisters one of the dua's that we forget

[21:42]ask allah to keep you on the path of bait until next

[21:48]day ask allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to allow you to take your

[21:54]salah seriously tonight is that you give me the tawfiq that i

[21:57]can start praying that i take my salah seriously this is wallahi

[22:03]greater than asking allah for a billion dollars if you are able

[22:06]to maintain salah this year ask allah to help you this is

[22:08]what's beautiful about our relationship with allah you don't have to do

[22:15]anything by yourself if you ask allah allah will help you ask

[22:17]allah to enable you to pray salat maybe you think it's too

[22:23]difficult no salat tilley is not for me yes by yourself maybe

[22:25]it's too hard but when you ask allah to grant you the

[22:30]toffee that you can pray salat then allah will give it to

[22:33]you then you will see subhanallah all of a sudden you will

[22:35]find it so easy you'll be attached to salah till you'll be

[22:39]attracted to to lay so ask allah to give this to you

[22:44]ask allah to allow you to stop sinning if you have children

[22:46]ask allah to protect their iman every day i am hearing stories

[22:50]brothers and sisters of young children in our communities who are getting

[22:55]lost they're going into drugs and to crimes into haram they're losing

[23:00]their iman we don't know if that will happen to our sons

[23:05]and children and daughters ask allah to give you the iman for

[23:08]your children ya allah please allow my children to follow in the

[23:13]iman this is a dua that you have to do brothers and

[23:15]sisters tonight during lailatul qatar this is very important and one other

[23:20]thing i want to add when it comes to our children dua

[23:23]is not enough we also have to what create the environment for

[23:28]the brothers and sisters i spoke about this in the arabic sermon

[23:31]create the environment in your home and more importantly brothers and sisters

[23:35]islamic school if you can enroll your children in an islamic school

[23:39]you have to do this brothers and sisters you even if it's

[23:44]costly it's worth the investment because brothers and sisters many times we

[23:47]the parents don't know what's happening in the public schools the corruption

[23:52]the immorality that is happening every day they're teaching them new types

[23:57]of immorality you know the lgbtq movement where does this where is

[24:00]this thought in the schools brothers and sisters sometimes my son comes

[24:04]and tells me so if there is an islamic school in your

[24:06]community you have to support the community by enrolling your kids and

[24:11]that's cool and alhamdulillah a blessing that allah subhanahu ta'ala has brought

[24:15]to this community and toledo is the al-mahdi academy that will begin

[24:20]in sha allah in september preschool kindergarten these two three years if

[24:25]you have a child in that age i urge you brothers and

[24:29]sisters this is something very important that you enroll your kids in

[24:32]that school so they can learn their iman so that they can

[24:36]learn faith or else where will they learn iman you think these

[24:38]smartphones when we give them to our children and they don't know

[24:40]what they do with them they just go on tiktok you think

[24:43]they're going to learn islam you think they're going to learn dean

[24:45]you think they're going to learn about allah and the public schools

[24:49]no way brothers and sisters and that's why i'm hearing the stories

[24:52]every day wallahi brothers and sisters they are frightening of what's happening

[24:55]to the children to our kids to our youth in our communities

[25:00]the immorality that is happening so ask allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to

[25:04]protect your children ask allah to grant you paradise al-jannah and don't

[25:09]just ask for jannah be ambitious ask allah to make you a

[25:15]neighbor of muhammad tell him i want to be a neighbor of

[25:26]al-muhammad i want to be a neighbor of imam hussain allah can

[25:28]do it for you brothers and sisters do this you see ali

[25:33]imam al-hussein and arafa he has a beautiful passage where he says

[25:37]ya allah i only have one hajja for me if you give

[25:53]me this one thing i don't care if i don't receive anything

[25:56]else this is all i need and if you deny me this

[25:59]one thing and you give me everything else i have nothing the

[26:03]imam says ya allah i ask you to free me from the

[26:09]fires of hell this should be your this night brothers and sisters

[26:26]everyone is desperate and afraid this should be your tonight brothers and

[26:29]sisters so be ambitious and ask allah subhanahu wa and i will

[26:34]end with the story before rasulullah became the messenger of allah he

[26:40]went to atla if and one of the people of he hosted

[26:46]rasulullah in his house he gave him shelter he gave him food

[26:49]rasulullah was his guest for a few days and that rasulullah went

[26:56]back to mecca many years later rasulullah conquers mecca he conquers the

[27:03]entire arabian peninsula this man who hosted rasulullah many years ago he

[27:08]hears that muhammad has become a king he has power now so

[27:15]he leaves and he comes to medina to meet the prophet he

[27:17]comes he says salaam to him do you remember me the prophet

[27:25]says no where do i know you from he says remember many

[27:27]years ago you came to ta'if and you stayed at my house

[27:31]and said yes i remember you thank you so much how have

[27:33]you been doing he says now allah has given you so much

[27:37]power wealth success now i want a favor from you the prophet

[27:42]says anything ask me and i will give it to you because

[27:46]you gave me shelter when no one gave me shelter when he

[27:49]had to flee from mecca go to this man gave him shelter

[27:53]he told him ask me anything and i will give you can

[27:57]you imagine mothers and sisters rasulullah telling you you have one wish

[28:01]whatever you want i'll give to you you can ask for anything

[28:05]you know what this guy asked for he said he thinks hmm

[28:09]what should i ask this is rasulullah ya rasulullah i want 200

[28:45]the companions tell him ya rasulallah what should have he asked for

[28:49]the prophet said only if he would have learned from the jews

[28:54]of bani israel only if we would have learned from the old

[28:57]lady of bani israel they say what's the story the prophet tells

[29:02]them the story of the old lady of bani israel the prophet

[29:05]tells them that allah orders musa one day to leave egypt and

[29:09]to go to palestine and he tells him to take the body
