[1:10]just as there are seasons during the year a season of spring
[1:19]which we have just began which symbolizes life a summer a fall
[1:28]and a winter similarly when it comes to spirituality there are also
[1:34]seasons we see that there are some prime seasons of spirituality prime
[1:42]seasons of getting closer to allah subhanahu wa ta'ala for example allah
[1:48]subhanahu wa ta'ala speaks about the first ten days of the dul
[1:52]hijjah the month of the allah swears by those days these are
[2:01]the holy nights the ten nights which people pilgrims they go to
[2:06]hajj and they perform the hajj during that time these are holy
[2:09]nights this is a peak season of spirituality another very important season
[2:16]of spirituality is the season of muharram the time when we gather
[2:23]to remember imam al hussein although we remember imam al hussein but
[2:27]because through imam al hussein we get closer to allah and imam
[2:32]al hussein he's the means he's the that brings us closer to
[2:37]allah subhanahu wa ta'ala so it's through that season the season of
[2:46]remembering imam al hussain and the that we get closer to allah
[2:52]and there's also a very important season and that is the season
[2:57]of the month of ramadan the season of the month of ramadan
[3:02]that is the peak time of spirituality for all of the muslims
[3:07]where you see muslims begin fasting they begin the worship they begin
[3:12]the ibadah and they enter into the rahmah of allah because it
[3:19]is the month of mercy now we all know that the month
[3:23]of ramadan is the season of blessing season of rahma but in
[3:29]order for you to get the best out of the month of
[3:34]ramadan and carry out the full potential of the month of ramadan
[3:41]allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has given us two months before the month
[3:46]of ramadan that help us be ready for the month of ramadan
[3:51]the month of ramadan is no ordinary month the month of ramadan
[3:55]it has which is better than one thousand months the night of
[4:05]destiny am i ready to speak to allah on the night of
[4:09]destiny for some we enter in the month of ramadan and we
[4:14]leave the month of ramadan as if nothing has happened because spiritually
[4:19]we're not ready spiritually we're not ready yes we just refrain from
[4:25]eating from drinking and we go to the masjid we listen to
[4:29]a lecture and we have sweets and that's it that's the month
[4:32]of ramadan for many of us there's no spirituality this is why
[4:38]allah has given us two months prior to the month of ramadan
[4:44]which get us ready and prepared for the month of ramadan and
[4:49]this is the season of rajab and sha'ban and we have just
[4:54]entered into the holy month of rajab rajab is one of the
[4:59]ashwar al haram there are four haram months meaning that the life
[5:05]must be respected during these months it's haram to wage war even
[5:09]during the time of the prophet even before the before islam the
[5:13]arabs they respected these months the month of rajab the month of
[5:19]dhil qaeda the month of dhil hijjah and the month of muharram
[5:25]these are four holy months and the reason for this is because
[5:29]rajab is a season of umrah a season where pilgrims they go
[5:35]and they perform the umrah so they would travel the arabs even
[5:40]before islam they would stop the fighting so that people can travel
[5:43]and go to mecca and return home safely and the and the
[5:48]and muharram they are the months of hajj because going to hajj
[5:55]from the people start traveling and they're in mecca they're traveling and
[6:02]they're coming back home after performing the hajj therefore these are the
[6:07]and these are very holy months and it is during these months
[6:14]especially the month of rajab which is a very holy month this
[6:20]is the time where we prepare ourselves for spirituality this is the
[6:26]time where we begin training ourselves imagine you go you have to
[6:31]run a marathon and you go run-in the marathon before even getting
[6:36]ready before exercising before preparing yourself what's going to happen you're going
[6:42]to fall apart in the middle of the marathon this is the
[6:45]same when it comes to the month of ramadan for some the
[6:49]month of ramadan is just a month of abstaining from eating and
[6:52]drinking yes anyone could stop eating and drinking but in order for
[6:57]the soul to be ready in order for the soul to have
[7:01]done its exercise and be prepared for the month of ramadan we
[7:07]have the month of rajab and shaban and these are the months
[7:12]that help us reach our spirituality because you know we all have
[7:18]times where we are we are energized to pray and sometimes we
[7:24]feel weak and we don't have that energy to pray it is
[7:29]during this season it is during the month of rajab and shaban
[7:34]that allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has placed so many ammal so many
[7:39]incentives for a person to do ammal to be ready to get
[7:44]ready for the month of ramadan amir al mumineen ali ibn abi
[7:50]talib he says in a hadith he says he says the hearts
[8:08]they have times of iqbal where they feel the energy to pray
[8:12]and sometimes you see you have this sometimes you feel like praying
[8:16]you feel like doing so many things and there are times where
[8:19]you do not have the energy so the imam says when you
[8:23]do have the energy try to go the extra mile try to
[8:27]show allah that you are a servant of allah because at the
[8:33]end that will help you that will all come back to you
[8:37]and if you don't have the energy then just do the obligations
[8:41]just do the fareva that you have to do so the month
[8:49]of rajab is a very holy month and when rasulullah saw the
[8:55]hilal saw the crescent of rajab he recited this bless our rajab
[9:05]and shaaban ramadan and help us be ready and prepared for the
[9:13]month of ramadan and help us and support us in siyam and
[9:21]fasting and qiyam and standing and praying doing the night prayer doing
[9:27]the extra prayers also controlling the tongue and controlling the eyes and
[9:41]don't let it be just a season of hunger and thirst because
[9:45]some of us ramadan the season of fasting just means hunger and
[9:50]thirst it doesn't mean anything else we don't make ourselves a i
[9:54]don't make myself a better person i don't strengthen my soul no
[10:00]it's just hunger and thirst that's it here he tries to show
[10:07]people that there's more behind the worship worship is not just fasting
[10:13]and praying it's going further and making yourself a better person making
[10:19]yourself a stronger person because as we've said before worship is a
[10:23]tool it's not the goal it's a tool that brings you to
[10:28]the goal and that is allah a tool that brings you closer
[10:32]to taqwa closer to allah and this is why we have many
[10:38]recommended acts to perform during the month of rajab in a hadith
[10:43]from imam musa ibn jafar al qadam he says rajab is a
[10:55]name of a river in paradise which is whiter than milk and
[10:59]sweeter than honey and then he says he who fasts one day
[11:10]out of the month of rajab allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will quench
[11:15]his or her thirst from that river in paradise this is the
[11:19]hadith of imam al qadam in another hadith the imam the same
[11:25]imam he says he says rajab is a holy month rajab is
[11:52]a great month where allah subhanahu wa ta'ala multiplies the good that
[11:57]you do and he erases he forgives all of the sins that
[12:03]we have committed and then he says he who fasts one day
[12:06]during the month of rajab the hellfire will be seventy years away
[12:12]from this person you know how sometimes when they talk about space
[12:15]they say this is seventy light years seventy years away this is
[12:21]the same he who fast one day from rajab the hellfire will
[12:26]be seventy years away from this person and he who fast three
[12:32]days heaven paradise will become obligatory upon this person meaning that allah
[12:37]will place this person in paradise now of course some people they
[12:42]go and they fast three days and they sin no these are
[12:46]there there there are many many reasons that allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
[12:52]places a person in paradise this is one of them this is
[12:55]one of the conditions to go to paradise so we see that
[13:02]there are many narrations that speak about the month of rajab the
[13:06]holy month of rajab in one hadith the imam says that the
[13:11]imam imam al bakr he says or imam saddiq jafar ibn muhammad
[13:18]he says on the day of judgment there will be a caller
[13:30]that will call out from the arsh meaning allah a voice will
[13:35]come out of the arsh where are the rajabis the ones who
[13:41]fasted the ones who worshipped during the month of rajab and a
[13:51]group of people will stand and allah will reward that group of
[13:57]people the month of rajab is a holy month it's the month
[14:02]of istikfar this is the hadith of the prophet it's the month
[14:06]of repentance and one of the names of the month of rajab
[14:10]is rajab al asab asab means the poor it pours when they
[14:15]say the water was poured al asab because the rahma of allah
[14:21]the mercy of allah pours upon an individual it doesn't just come
[14:25]drop by drop it pours upon an individual and there are many
[14:32]recommended acts to perform during the month of rajab many duas to
[14:36]perform during the month of rajab one of them a man by
[14:40]the name one of the companions of imam saddiq by the name
[14:43]of muhammad ibn zakwan they used to call him muhammad sajjad because
[14:49]he was such a good worshipper where he was labeled as the
[14:52]sajad the same title of imam zain al abideen muhammad ibn zakwan
[14:57]and you could tell by his name as sajad what question is
[15:01]he going to ask the imam he came he comes to imam
[15:05]saddiq and he tells him oh imam teach me a dua that
[15:12]allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will help me through this dua you could
[15:15]tell his name is asajad he's going to come and ask about
[15:19]a dua from the imam so the imam he tells the imam
[15:30]teach me a dua that allah will support me and help me
[15:32]in this dua the imam taught him this dua and then he
[16:18]says the imam he held on his beard and he began to
[16:22]point towards the tabla and he says o merciful o forgiving make
[16:39]my shaiba my beard haram on the fire that means the fire
[16:43]will not burn me on the day of judgment this is a
[16:48]beautiful dua that imam asad taught in this dua you could put
[16:52]it on your phone it's in you could put it on a
[16:56]paper recite it between your prayers during the month of rajab and
[17:00]another dua and the dua goes on there are numerous a'amal to
[17:16]be performed during this holy month and the month of rajab it
[17:23]is not only a season to strengthen our ties with allah but
[17:28]it is also a season to strengthen our ties with the al
[17:32]bayt they are the ones who allah sent them to guide us
[17:37]they are the messengers they are the they are the and this
[17:42]is why it is highly recommended to do the the ziyara of
[17:48]the ahlul bayt visit rasulullah visit the ahlul bayt during the month
[17:53]of rajab of course it's mustahab throughout the whole year to visit
[17:57]the ahlul bayt but during the month of rajab it's highly recommended
[18:02]to perform a ziyara and there's a specific ziyara that is performed
[18:07]during the month of rajab we have to visit the ahlul bayt
[18:21]if i just say i love the ahlul bayt and i follow
[18:24]the ahlul bayt but i don't visit them i don't show that
[18:28]love then what what is that love what does that love mean
[18:31]we are required by allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to show the to
[18:35]the ahlul bayt some people say you shia as you go out
[18:38]of your way every every celebration every martyrdom you gather and you
[18:44]remember the ahlul bayt you go out of your way no this
[18:47]is we're doing what allah ordered us to do this is a
[18:55]mawaddah when you gather you remember the al bayt when you go
[18:58]and visit the al bayt if rasulullah was alive would it be
[19:04]wrong to go and visit rasulullah no in fact we would all
[19:08]wish to go and visit rasulullah we would all want to go
[19:11]and visit rasulullah well for a for a believer we believe that
[19:17]rasulullah hears us he sees us there's no difference whether he's alive
[19:21]or he's dead and we say that in the ziyarah we say
[19:24]i bear witness and this is the same for all of the
[19:30]al baith we should not leave the maqams of the al baith
[19:34]and the month of rajab is the best time to do that
[19:39]especially since the month of rajab has numerous occasions the first of
[19:44]rajab was the birth of imam al baqar the second of rajab
[19:47]a day like yesterday was the birth of imam al hadi the
[19:52]third of rajab is the martyrdom of imam al hadi the tenth
[19:55]imam who we'll speak about the thirteenth of rajab is the birth
[19:59]of amir al mumineen the fifteenth of rajab it's highly recommended to
[20:04]do the ziyarah of imam al hussein the twenty seventh of rajab
[20:08]is the day of the of the prophet there are many days
[20:12]many holy days during the month of rajab and we have to
[20:18]strengthen our ties with allah and with the today the third of
[20:28]rajab marks the martyrdom anniversary of imam ali al hadi alaihi salam
[20:37]the tenth imam of ahlul bayt the son of imam al jawad
[20:42]the son of imam muhammad al jawad this great imam was born
[20:48]in medina in a village outside of medina in the village of
[20:52]imam al qadam alaihi salam and his mother his father's imam muhammad
[20:58]al jawad his mother is samana al maghribiyah samana who was from
[21:04]maghrib who was from northern africa and this shows us that the
[21:08]imams of the ahlul bayt they were role models and they were
[21:14]examples of the ideal islam the teachings of islam that removed all
[21:20]lines of racism and attachment to culture and anything that brings people
[21:26]away from one another sometimes we say this is for this person's
[21:29]from this country from that country therefore we should be different no
[21:33]the imams of the al bayt the mothers of the imams the
[21:37]mothers of the imams they were not arab some of them had
[21:40]dark skin some they were from all over the world the mother
[21:45]of imam al qadam she was from andalus the mother of imam
[21:49]al jawad the the mother of imam al hadi she's from maghrib
[21:56]and the mothers of all of the imams are from different places
[22:00]they are from different places all over the world and this is
[22:04]a very important lesson for us because it's very easy to say
[22:08]that islam is against racism islam breaks all racial boundaries and divides
[22:15]but how many of us actually act upon that how many of
[22:18]us will actually be welcoming if a person from a different color
[22:22]from a different culture came to our own masjid these are the
[22:26]ahlul bayt if we truly follow the ahlul bayt then we have
[22:30]to follow everything that the ahlul bayt brought for us not just
[22:33]what we like and neglect other things that we do not like
[22:38]so we see that imam al hadi this is why narration say
[22:44]that imam al hadi he had a dark skin imam al jawad
[22:47]he had dark skin they they did not have the skin complexion
[22:52]all imams they were different and this teaches us that what the
[22:56]the quran says in allah does not look at your skin color
[23:03]does not look at the language that you speak allah looks at
[23:06]your heart your taqwa and these are the imams who were role
[23:11]models when it came to taqwa this great imam he lived for
[23:17]forty two years only forty two years but his life was a
[23:22]life of example just like the life of his father just like
[23:25]the life of his son and all the ahlabbayt alaihum wasalam imam
[23:31]al hadi he was born 212 02/2012 after hijra imam al jawad
[23:41]his father he passed away 220 after hijra that means the day
[23:46]imam came to him how old was he he was eight years
[23:51]old and this was a purposeful allah subhanahu wa ta'ala you see
[23:56]the imam before him imam al jawad he was seven years old
[23:59]when the imam came to him and here allah wanted the shias
[24:05]and the followers of the albig to be ready and don't be
[24:08]age is just a number doesn't allah speak about isa jesus who
[24:13]used to speak and he was a prophet when he was just
[24:16]born yahya john the baptist wasn't he a nabi a prophet when
[24:20]he was just born age is just a number so imam al
[24:27]jawad and imam al hadi they were also young and this was
[24:31]to prepare the followers of the al bayt for the imam of
[24:34]imam al khaja imam al mahdi who was just five years old
[24:37]the day imam al asghari his father passed away so that people
[24:41]are not shocked to see an imam who has the knowledge and
[24:44]he is chosen by allah the imams of the al bayt they
[24:49]didn't go to a school to go and learn they were taught
[24:53]by allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and if you are taught by allah
[24:56]it doesn't matter how old you are allah subhanahu wa ta'ala chooses
[25:02]the ones who he wishes and imam al hadi year 02/20 he
[25:10]assumed the imam after the death of imam al jawad in baghdad
[25:16]and his imam lasted until year 02/1954 that was the year he
[25:22]passed away at the age of 42 of course 254 is one
[25:27]year before the birth of imam al hajjah year two fifty five
[25:31]after hijra is the year of the birth of imam al mahdi
[25:35]so he died one year before the death of imam al hajjah
[25:42]he lived twenty years twenty two years of that of his life
[25:46]in medina and twenty years the last twenty years he spent that
[25:52]time in samarah living under house arrest and we will explain why
[25:57]the imam was sent all the way to samarah samarah was a
[26:00]very far place but the caliphate brought the imam all the way
[26:04]there the imam alaihi salam the caliphate after the death of after
[26:12]the death of imam al jawad the khalifa he sent he sent
[26:21]al maktasan he sent a teacher to go and teach imam al
[26:27]hadi and keep him away from the people because they thought that
[26:31]imam al jawad because they had they had tested imam al jawad
[26:34]many times and imam al jawad proved his knowledge when he was
[26:37]only seven so they said maybe these children of the prophet these
[26:42]grandchildren maybe they go and they learn so let's go to him
[26:46]let's keep him aside we will brainwash him and we will teach
[26:49]him and then he won't be a person who will come against
[26:56]us and rival us later on so they sent one of the
[27:00]greatest scholars of the time they sent one of the greatest scholars
[27:04]of the time to go and teach the imam a man by
[27:08]the name of al junaidi so al junaidi he goes all the
[27:12]way to medina and they place imam al hadi outside of madinah
[27:17]away from the people and they lock the door al janaidi he
[27:21]goes to him every day and he wants to teach him so
[27:24]he tells him recite to me the quran the imam tells him
[27:29]which verse do you want me to recite he tells him recite
[27:32]from this verse al junaidi sees that the imam he has the
[27:36]quran memorized and he begins reciting and he begins explaining how this
[27:40]verse came down and what's this verse this eight year old young
[27:43]child so a while later and muttasim he tells him how is
[27:48]that young boy with you that you are teaching him tells him
[27:51]which boy are you talking about tells him the boy ibn al
[27:55]jawad the son of jawad he tells him you mean the sheikh
[28:00]the one who i i go and i attend class and i
[28:03]learn from him he says went to him and i asked him
[28:08]to read he began to teach me and he recites better and
[28:13]he knows any everything about islam better than anyone else i go
[28:17]to him every day and he teaches me al junaidi became one
[28:22]of the devout followers and shias of imam al hadi alaihi salam
[28:26]and he became known as one of the scholars who followed imam
[28:29]al hadi so then they let imam al hadi out and imam
[28:35]al hadi he goes to the masjid of the prophet and he
[28:37]begins to teach people today we have many of our fiqh many
[28:41]of our aqam many of our rulings they go back to imam
[28:45]al hadi he used to write letters he used to educate people
[28:49]one of the one of the man he came to the imam
[28:52]and he tells him oh imam if i were to enter on
[28:56]any of you meaning the imams how should i visit you how
[29:01]should i perform a ziyara to visit you he says i want
[29:07]a ziyara that has all of the of the all of the
[29:11]blessings and praise of the the imam taught him ziyara to jama'ah
[29:16]it's in it's a long of the al bayt but it explains
[29:23]the qualities and the merits of the al bayt if you really
[29:26]want to have of the al bayt go and recite read the
[29:33]imam he taught people so many things he would sit in the
[29:38]masjid and he would educate people about the religion of islam about
[29:44]the religion of his father and of course people would be shocked
[29:48]they see this young man he says until rasulullah i heard from
[29:55]my father who heard from his father heard from his father who
[29:58]heard from rasulullah this was something that attracted the muslims and therefore
[30:04]the khalifa's at the time they felt threatened by the imam one
[30:09]of the governors one of the governors of medina the governors of
[30:13]medina he wrote a letter to the caliphate to al mutawakil after
[30:19]the death of al mu'tasim came al mutawakil he wrote a letter
[30:23]to mutawakil telling him if you want to continue having control of
[30:30]medina then take out ibn arabah one of the titles of imam
[30:34]al hadi is ibn arabah just like the also the title of
[30:36]imam al jawad take him out another title of imam al hadi
[30:40]is abil hassan take him out of here and then he he
[30:45]lied he said al hadi he is collecting weapons in his home
[30:51]so that he will revolt against you al mutawat kill he sends
[30:57]an army of 300 to come and investigate to come and investigate
[31:06]and to bring the imam all the way from medina to samarah
[31:12]so that he could have his eyes on the imam so that
[31:14]he is not very far away from the imam so he sends
[31:21]he sends a man by the name of yahya ibn harthama he
[31:26]sends this man as the general with 300 men to go check
[31:32]the house of the imam to see if the imam has weapons
[31:35]in his house and to bring the imam so yahya ibn haradama
[31:40]he goes and he sees on his way on his way he's
[31:44]traveling with 300 people there was one of the peep one of
[31:48]the soldiers that was with him was a kharaji a man who
[31:51]had hatred towards ali ibn abi talib and another one one of
[31:55]the qutab he was a shia a follower of the ahlul bayt
[31:59]so the whole time while they were traveling from samarah to medina
[32:03]they are picking on this raffili they call him the raffili the
[32:06]shia and they are making fun of him so they passed by
[32:10]a desert as they were in the desert and it was a
[32:13]very hot time they were in the desert the rafadi the the
[32:17]kharaji the one who hated the ali ibn abi talib he tells
[32:21]the shia he says what does ali ibn abi talib say referring
[32:25]to one of the ahadith one of the narrations of imam ali
[32:28]that every single place on earth will one day turn into a
[32:33]grave every single location on earth one day either before or one
[32:39]day it will become a grave so this shia man he didn't
[32:44]know what to answer he said i don't know he said let's
[32:47]go and we'll find out once they reached the house of imam
[32:51]al hadi they told the imam you have three days to leave
[32:57]they went and searched the house of the imam they saw that
[33:00]there were no weapons he has quran's in his home he has
[33:04]nothing but still al mutaqil he says bring the imam they have
[33:09]nothing he tells him you have three days to leave so the
[33:13]imam he began to prepare his family and the people with him
[33:17]the people who are in his home to get ready and he
[33:21]tells them all to sew and knit wool wool to be worn
[33:27]something to keep you warm so this man yahya ibn harada mahi
[33:31]came and he saw the imam and his people in his home
[33:34]they're all knitting he says what is this man it's so hot
[33:38]right now this man really doesn't know anything about traveling he said
[33:42]leave him he said then the imam was ready to leave medina
[33:49]as he was leaving medina we passed as they were leaving while
[33:53]they were traveling with the 300 soldiers and the imam and his
[33:56]family and imam al hassan al asghari was young at that time
[33:59]he was with him he said we reached a desert and all
[34:03]of the sudden it began to snow and it became so windy
[34:08]this man yahya ibn hartham the enemy of the imam who came
[34:11]he's narrating he says all of the sudden it became so cold
[34:16]it began to snow right away the imam he put on the
[34:20]wool that he had sewed it was warm the imam he put
[34:24]it on and he told his followers he told his people put
[34:27]it on yahya ibn alham he said the imam he had one
[34:30]extra he gave it to me he gave that sheikh aman he
[34:34]said we covered ourselves once the snow calmed down we saw that
[34:39]several a few ten twenty 30 of the men they had died
[34:46]so here the imam he looked at the yahya ibn harada man
[34:51]he said every piece of land will one day turn into a
[34:56]grave that same location where that man ridiculed imam ali he says
[35:01]how could this desert look at this vast desert how could this
[35:05]vast desert every piece of land turn into a grave right in
[35:08]front of them ten twenty 30 men they died and they were
[35:14]buried so the imam says this is the sun this is the
[35:18]life where every single place will turn into a grave the imam
[35:25]reached samara he reached samara and the name of samara is surah
[35:32]means it brings joy to he who sees because it's a very
[35:36]beautiful place if any of you have been to samarah the weather
[35:39]is nice it's beautiful but the imam was under house arrest the
[35:44]imam was brought to samarah and al muttawakil instead of coming out
[35:51]to welcome the imam he left the imam to stay in a
[35:56]place that was the worst place in the in the city by
[35:59]the name of khan al sa'aleek he placed the imam there this
[36:03]is where the the criminals the gangs anyone who was who has
[36:08]a bad reputation in society they were all gathered there one of
[36:12]the companions of imam al hadi he comes and he feels very
[36:16]sad he says oh grandson of rasulallah it breaks my heart to
[36:21]see that he placed you in a place like this you are
[36:25]the grandson of the prophet you should be treated much better than
[36:28]this the imam he tells him raise your head raise your head
[36:34]he says i raised my head and i saw a very beautiful
[36:37]place the imam showed him his place in paradise he tells him
[36:42]this is the real life this is what we are going to
[36:45]be this life is very temporary it doesn't matter where we are
[36:50]later on allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has a very good place in
[36:55]store for us then that place the place where the al mutawakil
[37:03]tried to disrespect the imam he tried to show the imam the
[37:08]lack of respect today people from all over the world they travel
[37:13]they buy tickets they get on planes they put their lives on
[37:16]hold for what to go and visit the imam to go and
[37:20]visit the imam of course narration say that the imam later on
[37:25]he purchased a place he purchased a place and that is the
[37:30]place where he's buried the place where imam the haram of imam
[37:34]al asghari imam al hadi imam al asghari this is the house
[37:39]of the imam and this is why a few years ago ten
[37:43]ten years ago in 2006 eleven years ago when the shrine was
[37:47]bombed that was the act actually the house of the imam the
[37:50]house of imam al mahdi all of the other places the of
[37:54]the of the other imams of course rasulullah is also buried in
[37:59]his home but the others they're buried outside a place that's not
[38:03]their home but imam al asghari and imam al hadid they're buried
[38:06]in their own home and this is why some scholars they say
[38:10]that when you enter into the shrine of al asghari it's as
[38:13]if you are entering into the home of imam al mahdi you're
[38:16]entering into the home he's the only heir he's the only inheritor
[38:21]of that place the imam he spent twenty years in samarah twenty
[38:31]years in samarah and he lived under the cruel time of al
[38:38]mutawakil this horrible man today they call him the man who revived
[38:44]the sunnah of rasulullah some people they respect this man you know
[38:48]what this man has done this man has destroyed the grave of
[38:52]imam al hussain in one narration over 17 times over 17 times
[38:59]he destroyed the grave of imam al hussain he finds out that
[39:06]people he asks for someone they tell him that person is not
[39:12]around then when that person comes back he tells him where were
[39:16]you that person tells him i was i was in hajj and
[39:20]it was the month of sha'ban i was in hajj so he
[39:25]tells him what are you talking about hajj is not now in
[39:27]sha'ban hajj is in the hajj the person tells him i went
[39:31]to hajj to the grave of abba abdullah this man who is
[39:37]also from bani hashem he's also from the children of abbas the
[39:40]uncle of the prophet he says i am the cousin of the
[39:42]imam as soon as he heard that people are visiting imam al
[39:48]hussain and considering a type of hajj his blood began to boil
[39:53]he goes and he stops people from visiting he sends an army
[39:58]he sends generals and police to stop people from visiting imam al
[40:03]hussain they continue visiting then he demolishes the shrine he demolishes the
[40:10]dome of the grave of imam al hussain a month later they
[40:14]come and they build it once again and they go and visit
[40:17]once again hundreds and thousands of people going and visiting the grave
[40:21]of imam al hussain he demolishes it one more time a third
[40:24]time narration say 17 times he came after he saw that he
[40:30]couldn't he kept demolishing it he came and he brought farmers and
[40:34]he tells he tells them open the water from the alkami the
[40:37]furah open the water so that it drowns the grave of hussein
[40:42]they go and they dig and the water comes and water comes
[40:47]down in karbala if you if you enter in the shrine of
[40:50]imam al hussein you see that as soon as you enter from
[40:52]the sahan you don't go up the stairs you go down because
[40:55]imam al hussein the place of his grave is a lower area
[40:59]so the water came down but it started revolving around the grave
[41:04]of abba abdullah and this is why the grave of imam al
[41:08]hussain it's called one of the names is al haar haar al
[41:12]farat because it confused the farat haar means confused it confused the
[41:18]farat the farat kept revolving around the grave of imam al hussain
[41:23]he brings farmers to bring their bulls and to to move the
[41:31]floor to the what is it called the till he so that
[41:37]they could you know get the earth moving he brings the animals
[41:42]the bull and they come and they walk until they until they
[41:46]reach the grave of imam hussain that animal the animal that doesn't
[41:50]know anything it stops they keep hitting it and hitting it and
[41:53]hitting it so that it goes and destroys the grave of imam
[41:56]al hussain it doesn't this is the quranah that allah has given
[42:02]the ahlul bayt how many times have they tried to destroy the
[42:06]shrines of the ahlul bayt the shrine of imam al hadi the
[42:08]one who we are remembering today and imam al asghari just in
[42:12]2006 many of you remember when they bombed it today thousands of
[42:17]people millions of people they go and they visit the grave of
[42:21]imam al hussein and the graves of all of the imams one
[42:27]day this man al mutawakil in the middle of the night he's
[42:31]getting drunk and this man he assumes that he is the khalifa
[42:35]of the prophet this is why we're not surprised today when we
[42:38]hear a man who assumes the khalafa and he kills and he
[42:41]drinks and he rapes and he does all that he does because
[42:44]the muslim history is full of examples of people just like abu
[42:48]bakr al baghdadi today today this what we hear today this is
[42:52]probably new for some people but if you read the muslim history
[42:56]you see that nothing is new history keeps repeating itself what yazid
[43:00]didn't do the same things muawiyah didn't do the same things this
[43:05]man al mutawakil he also did the same thing in the middle
[43:10]of the night he sends his soldiers he tells them go and
[43:15]bring ali al hadi whatever state he's in he brings him he
[43:21]brings imam al hadi and he has a cup of alcohol in
[43:26]front of him and he is drinking and there's a party going
[43:29]on there's people drinking he sees the imam in front of him
[43:34]he gives him he offers him he tells him have a drink
[43:38]now imagine for someone who does not drink imagine the pain that
[43:46]the imam had to go through for someone who assumes the khalafa
[43:50]of his own grandfather he assumes the khalafa of rasulullah sitting in
[43:54]his own position and he comes and he offers him alcohol the
[43:57]imam he says by i swear by allah that alcohol has never
[44:06]been mixed with my blood it has never been mixed with my
[44:09]body and then al mutawakil he tells him then sing for us
[44:15]you're not you don't accept to drink then sing for us the
[44:18]imam tells him i'm not a singer he tells him you have
[44:22]to recite poetry you have to do something for us then the
[44:28]imam he began to recite one of the words of poetry of
[44:33]amir al mumineen the imam he recites a poetry that reminds al
[45:42]mutawakil and anyone who assumes that they are powerful they are strong
[45:47]they have guards and there are people dividing them separating from separating
[45:52]them from others that one day you no matter how strong how
[45:57]powerful you are one day you will be carried and placed in
[46:02]a placed in a grave and the worms will begin to walk
[46:08]around your own cheek and they will be eating from your own
[46:11]body he said as soon as the imam recited this al mutawakil
[46:19]who was in a state of party right away he said move
[46:22]and he broke all the containers of alcohol and his beard was
[46:27]wet from the tears and this is the imam when the imam
[46:30]speaks he speaks from the heart but of course that did not
[46:35]change al mutawakin because there are some people who no matter how
[46:39]many times you speak to them nothing happens to them and there
[46:43]are some that change they repent and the doors of repentance are
[46:47]always open but there are some people that will never change he
[46:54]kept showing hatred to the imam one day the imam was walking
[47:00]and he was on a horse he made the imam walk he
[47:05]made the imam come down from the horse and walk while he's
[47:09]on the horse and they were walking and it was a very
[47:11]hot day a very hot day he makes the imam walk in
[47:16]the sun for a very long time so one of the ministers
[47:21]of al mutawakil he comes to him and he tells him when
[47:24]you do this people are going to talk about you people are
[47:27]going to say look at because al hadi the whole community they
[47:30]respect him when you do this people are going to say look
[47:33]at this caliphate the way he's treating the children of the prophet
[47:37]but al mutaqil didn't care so that minister later on he goes
[47:42]he sees i saw the imam sweating and he looked very tired
[47:46]and exhausted he said i came to him and i apologized on
[47:51]behalf of al mutawakil and i tried to make it seem like
[47:54]al mutawakil didn't mean any harm then the imam tells him no
[48:00]he did and then he recited this verse he said that minister
[48:13]the imam recited the verse of three days the adab will come
[48:17]which allah mentions that minister he says right away i knew mutawakil
[48:21]is not going to last long he said i saw whatever belongings
[48:25]i had with him i had money or anything i went and
[48:28]i took it within three days mutawakil's own son and a group
[48:34]of turkish officers they revolted against al mutawakil and they killed him
[48:38]and he was drunk his blood was mixed with the alcohol they
[48:43]killed him then came his son al muntasir who only lasted for
[48:48]six months and the turks killed him once again and then came
[48:52]al musta'in and then al muqtaz al muqtaz was the one who
[49:00]poisoned the imam after the imam had been living for twenty years
[49:05]in samarah he finally brought the poison to the imam and he
[49:11]did he was not patient he didn't let the imam live his
[49:15]full life where the imam was only 42 years of course numerous
[49:20]times they tried to poison the imam sometimes they tried to poison
[49:25]the imam one day the imam he calls one of his one
[49:29]of his abu hashim al jafari one of his companions he tells
[49:34]him find me one of the shi'a's one of the followers of
[49:38]the ahlul bayt so that this person can go to the grave
[49:42]of abba abdullah and ask allah next to the grave of abba
[49:48]abdullah to cure me so this man abu hashim al jafari he
[49:54]finds a man by the name of ali ibn bilal this man
[49:57]was also a well known shia a well known follower of the
[50:01]ahlul bayt he goes to ali ibn bilal he tells him the
[50:05]imam has money he wants you to go and travel go to
[50:09]the grave of hussein do dua ask allah to heal the tenth
[50:13]imam imam al hadi so ali ibn bilal he asks abu hashim
[50:17]al jafari he tells him isn't the imam he himself is an
[50:21]imam if you want me to go and visit hussein who is
[50:24]an imam al hadi is an imam as well so abu hashim
[50:28]al jafari comes to the imam and he tells him o son
[50:32]of rasulullah why is it that you want this person to go
[50:37]and pray for you in karbala when you yourself are an imam
[50:41]the imam replied rasulullah is was better and is better and holier
[50:52]than the ka'bah and the stone the black stone but rasulullah he
[50:57]did the tawaf around the ka'bah and he went and he held
[51:00]on to the black stone because there are certain places where allah
[51:05]likes to be asked and there are certain places where allah answers
[51:10]the dua much faster and the grave of my grandfather hussein is
[51:14]one of those places you see the imam he instilled in the
[51:19]shia the love for imam al hussein and this was something that
[51:22]all of the ahlul bayt did every single imam they did this
[51:26]they taught their followers to visit imam al hussein and this is
[51:31]what imam al hadi did until he was poisoned he was poisoned
[51:41]year february and he announced to his followers that the next imam
[51:49]after him is imam al hassan al asghari who the imam of
[51:54]imam al hassan al asghari did not last long just six years
[51:57]until year february and imam al asghari was poisoned as well and
[52:03]began with the imam of imam al khaja so you see that
[52:09]the khalafa they were not patient and they were they would kill
[52:13]the imams very quickly they wouldn't let the imams live their lives
[52:18]imam al hadi was poisoned and he laid in his home struggling
[52:26]with that poison turning vomiting that poison was in his intestines he
[52:33]was also gharib because he's in samarah not the city of his
[52:37]grandfather he's brought under hausaras to live in the city but his
[52:43]family was around him imam al hassan al asghari was around him
[52:48]he stretched his legs his feet he closed his eyes and his
[52:55]soul departed this life imam al hassan al askari began to cry
[53:03]he carried his father imam al hadi and he washed the body
[53:09]of imam al hadi he placed the kefan around the body of
[53:13]the imam and then all of the muslims even the caliphate he
[53:18]came and he showed the muslims apparently that he is walking he
[53:22]is walking in the funeral of the imam they carried the body
[53:26]of the imam until they brought it back to the house where
[53:31]imam al hasan al askari buried his father imam al hadi was
[53:37]buried with respect with honor but there was one imam that was
[53:44]left for three days on the sand dunes of karabbalah without anyone
[53:52]to bury him without anyone to honor him even when imam zain
[53:58]al abideen he came after three days to bury the body of
[54:03]imam al hussain he saw that every time he carries a piece
[54:08]of the body of imam al hussain one part of his body
[54:13]would fall this is why he asked for a long leaf a
[54:18]barrier so that he can place the body of imam al hussain
[54:23]so that he could carry the body of imam al hussain imam
[54:28]al hassan al asghari when he placed imam al hadi in the
[54:32]grave he was able to kiss kiss the the cheek of imam
[54:36]al hadi he was able to say his final farewell but the
[54:43]imam the family of imam al hussain they were not able to
[54:49]say their final farewell when they come to visit the body of
[54:54]imam al hussain they were struck with the whips imam al hassan
[54:59]imam zain al abideen he comes to kiss the body of imam
[55:06]al hussain there was no place left to kiss so he kisses
[55:10]the neck of imam al hussain
