[1:20]as he can to join him imam al hussein reached out to

[1:27]his family members to his friends to his companions he sent them

[1:35]all letters inviting them to join him on his movement in one

[1:43]letter which he wrote to bani hashem to his relatives from bani

[1:49]hashem he tells them from hussain the son of ali the son

[2:03]of abu talib to to my relatives of bani hashem to my

[2:08]cousins to my family members as for who ever joins us in

[2:20]this journey they will all meet martyrdom everyone will be killed who

[2:28]joins me in my journey and whoever does not join us whoever

[2:40]is delayed this person will not be a part of the movement

[2:45]of victory ir we have have that himself into today we there

[3:02]are some people when they talk about imam al hussein when they

[3:06]analyze the life of imam al hussein they say imam al hussein

[3:10]was a revolutionary he was a good man he tried to change

[3:15]the corruption in his time and he tried to take power from

[3:19]yazid but he was killed in the way and it was a

[3:22]major accident that took place however when we see this letter from

[3:27]imam al hussein and many other sermons and sayings of imam al

[3:33]hussein we understand that imam al hussein knew exactly what he was

[3:39]getting himself into imam al hussain had foresight he knew exactly that

[3:46]he was going to be martyred and he even tells them where

[3:50]he's going to be martyred in his final sermon before leaving mecca

[3:55]because imam al hussein he was in medina he goes to mecca

[3:59]and then from there he heads out to kufa to iraq in

[4:03]his final sermon in his last day in mecca imam al hussein

[4:09]he stands in front of the hajjaj in masjid al haram and

[4:14]he delivers a sermon imam al hussein he said exactly what's going

[4:42]to happen he says i see myself seek getting closer and closer

[4:49]to my death and he even taught tells them where he's going

[4:53]to be killed he says it's as if i see the wolves

[4:57]the wolves of the desert eating at my body between an area

[5:44]of their time there's a big chance that they're going to be

[5:47]killed imam al hussain not only did he know that he was

[5:51]going to be killed but imam al hussain had the foresight to

[5:56]see the victory that we see today imam al hussain he tells

[6:02]them and whoever does not join me they will not be a

[6:10]part of this greater movement that attains victory this eternalized movement that

[6:18]does not die this flame that continues to burn and no one

[6:24]is able to extinguish it this is the movement of imam al

[6:27]hussain this is the victory of imam al hussain imam al hussain

[6:34]was victorious and the proof of that is the zawar that you

[6:38]saw today in the middle of a pandemic they go to the

[6:42]grave of abba abdullah you my dear brothers and sisters you are

[6:47]the proof of the victory of imam al hussein where you allow

[6:52]the remembrance and the memory of imam al hussein to carry on

[6:56]year after year you teach it to your children you teach it

[6:59]to your family you live with the flame of yeah hussain in

[7:03]your heart this is proof of the victory of imam al hussain

[7:08]this is the fat that imam al hussain is talking about and

[7:15]whoever does the headed in the land of karbala but the movement

[7:33]of imam al hussein began on the day of ashura the movement

[7:38]of imam al hussein and the victory of imam al hussein continues

[7:43]to this day and this is what imam al hussein saw and

[7:48]today it's very clear for us that imam al hussein is victorious

[7:53]but during his time on the day of ashura not many people

[7:58]saw not many people had the foresight to see the victory of

[8:03]imam al hussein alaihi salaam but the fact of the matter is

[8:08]imam al hussein he not only saw his martyrdom but he saw

[8:12]his victory he saw what we are seeing today and the companions

[8:18]of imam al hussain they saw this as well the 72 companions

[8:22]who are with imam al hussain they all were yearning for the

[8:26]shahada they will all they were all yearning for the martyrdom because

[8:31]they saw that there's something else after this life and they're getting

[8:36]closer and closer to the ultimate victory that allah has promised the

[8:45]not many people saw this but imam al hussein and his companions

[8:51]and his family members who were with him they all saw this

[8:56]on the eleventh of muharram the family of imam al hussein they

[9:01]were all gathered and they were leaving the army that killed imam

[9:05]al hussein they were leaving the body of imam al hussein and

[9:08]his companions not buried in the land of karbala while they buried

[9:14]their own those who were killed in the army of umar ibn

[9:17]saad they were buried but imam al hussein was not buried imam

[9:22]zain al abideen he narrates the story he says they placed us

[9:26]on the camels on the eleventh of muharram and to leave karbala

[9:33]they made us pass by the bodies of my father and my

[9:37]brothers and the family members so he says as we passed by

[9:43]i began to cry i could not control myself seeing my father

[9:48]abba abdullah al hussein being left in the land of karbala in

[9:53]this state he says at that moment my aunt zainab she tells

[9:59]me oh my dear nephew what is wrong with you what has

[10:03]happened to you oh my dear nephew he tells her oh my

[10:08]dear aunt don't you see that we are leaving my father in

[10:11]this state and my brothers brothers and my family and the companions

[10:15]of my father were leaving them in the state not buried leaving

[10:20]them like this she tells him oh my dear nephew don't let

[10:25]what you see right now break your heart because reason able and

[10:32]we to that that these bodies these sacred bodies they will be

[10:46]buried and there is going to be a mausoleum there's going to

[10:51]this place is going to be a this place is going to

[10:55]be a a place that is visited by people and in every

[11:00]era there's going to be the pharaohs of the time there's going

[11:06]to be the pharaohs of the time that will try to stop

[11:10]the memory of your father hussain but year after year it will

[11:14]increase and increase and no one will be able to stop it

[11:20]zaynab when she was in the chains in her weakest moment she

[11:26]saw what we see today she saw the millions of people flocking

[11:31]to the grave of ababa abdullah hussain alaihi salam and she tells

[11:36]imam zayn al hussain but some people they come and they ask

[11:58]describe to me how did imam al hussain become victorious what did

[12:02]imam al hussain do or how is he victorious today if we

[12:07]analyze and we look at the life of imam al hussein how

[12:10]do we measure the success of imam al hussein alaihi salaam for

[12:16]some people success is measured through materialism if i have more money

[12:21]in my bank account i'm successful if i'm driving a nice car

[12:25]then i'm successful if i upgrade to a bigger house then that

[12:29]means i'm successful if i'm in a small house or i don't

[12:33]have money in my bank account that means i'm not successful this

[12:37]is the materialistic approach towards success some people they come and they

[12:43]say if we come and we place imam al hussein on this

[12:47]scale we're going to see that imam al hussein was a failure

[12:50]he lost his sons he lost all of his sons in one

[12:53]day except zain al abideen his brothers his relatives he was killed

[12:58]he was crushed and they took away everything from him this failure

[13:03]isn't this loss but the difference between the believer and the non

[13:09]believer is that the believer does not measure success through materialism we

[13:15]measure success through what a person offers if you want to measure

[13:23]success through materialism then we are all losers then we are all

[13:28]failures richest person find me the wealthiest person at the end of

[13:35]their life they leave empty handed does anyone take their money with

[13:38]them does anyone take their cars with them their houses with them

[13:42]their money in their bank account no one takes anything with them

[13:46]so if we want to measure success through materialism then we're all

[13:50]losers because we're all not taking anything with us yazid he thought

[13:57]that through his power and they're ir going to give them money

[14:11]then that means they're going to be victorious and this was the

[14:13]drive for many people to kill the grandson of rasulullah one of

[14:20]those men who carried the head of imam al hussein immediately after

[14:23]imam al hussein was killed one of the men he took the

[14:27]head of imam al hussein and he got on a fast horse

[14:30]going all the way to kufa and he goes and he sees

[14:34]he begins to tell him he says fill my caravan with gold

[14:51]and silver i killed the greatest sayyid i killed a sayyid who

[14:56]comes from the best father and best mother this was what drove

[15:02]them to kill imam al hussein it was after money omar ibn

[15:06]saad he runs after money he runs after power this is why

[15:10]he goes and he fights imam al hussein was given the governorship

[15:15]of basra and kufa that's why he goes and he fights and

[15:18]he sends an army to fight imam al hussein however they all

[15:26]lost they were all losers no one took anything with them but

[15:32]bani ummayah their attitude towards life was a materialistic attitude just because

[15:37]i have power just because i have wealth that means god favored

[15:41]me over hussein and bani hashem ibn ziyad they take sayyid azainab

[15:47]and the family to kufa ibn ziyad he's a young man he's

[15:52]in his early thirties and he killed the grandson of rasulullah he

[15:58]says to zainab and imam zain al abideen he tells her what

[16:04]do you say about what god did to your brother and the

[16:08]thugs and criminals from your family he calls them thugs and criminals

[16:14]what does zainab say zainab says all i saw was beauty all

[16:32]i saw was beauty where do you find something more beautiful than

[16:36]a group of people who go and sacrifice the dearest thing to

[16:40]them their own life for the sake of their beliefs is there

[16:44]something more beautiful than that and then she tells him she tells

[16:52]him zaynab she saw victory zainab did not see a broken hussein

[17:11]zainab saw a victorious hussein immediately after leaving karbala and throughout that

[17:18]whole journey and zainab was the main caller for the message of

[17:23]imam al hussain in the court of yazid she reminds yazid yazid

[17:30]he was sitting in the in his palace palace he's comfortable he

[17:33]has the head of imam al hussain in front of him she

[17:36]goes and she delivers that sermon and she recites this verse from

[17:40]the quran allah says in the quran those who do don't think

[18:00]that if you're comfortable in this life that if you're doing well

[18:03]in this life that god is favoring you and god is choosing

[18:06]you don't let them think that when we give them we're giving

[18:19]them for their own good she says that allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

[18:30]sometimes he gives people even a tyrant allah gives this person that

[18:34]doesn't mean god is choosing them sometimes it's with the materialism the

[18:39]material that allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has given you that is how

[18:43]allah will test you so she's telling yazid that you're being tested

[18:47]with this wealth and this power that you have but the one

[18:51]who has a vision of materialism equals success yes they're not going

[18:56]to see that the movement of imam al hussain was a victorious

[19:00]movement but in essence this is not a way to measure success

[19:07]of individuals second my dear brothers and sisters if we want to

[19:13]measure the success and the victory of imam al hussein alaihi salaam

[19:17]see what his goals were every single one of us we have

[19:20]our own goals and then we measure our success if we attain

[19:24]those goals don't judge someone's victory by someone else's goals i have

[19:30]my own goals i come and i measure someone else whether they're

[19:33]successful or not based on my own goals that doesn't work like

[19:36]that imam al hussein he had his own purpose and his own

[19:40]mission and his own goal let us come and see did imam

[19:44]al hussein meet his mission and his goal if he did then

[19:48]he was victorious what was the mission of imam al hussein for

[19:53]those who assume falsely assume that imam al hussein was after power

[19:59]yes imam al hussein did not reach power but imam al hussein

[20:02]was never after power imam al hussein never after leadership and power

[20:07]imam al hussein imam al hussein he says i'm not revolting to

[20:36]cause fitnah and to cause a strife in the community i want

[20:44]to reform the nation the ummah of my grandfather i stood to

[20:53]enjoin the good and forbid the evil the mission of imam al

[20:58]hussein was to enjoin the good and forbid the evil now measure

[21:02]did imam al hussein do that or did he not do that

[21:06]yes imam al hussain is the most successful person in enjoining the

[21:11]good and forbidding the evil don't you see every year millions of

[21:16]people by the name of imam al hussein they're guided back to

[21:19]allah subhanahu wa ta'ala until today millions of people are guided back

[21:25]to their salah their zakat their hajj their duties duties their religious

[21:30]obligations through the majalis of imam al hussein through the name of

[21:34]imam al hussein through the remembrance of imam al hussein imam al

[21:40]hussein he was able to enjoin the good and forbid the evil

[21:44]this is why all of the tyrants every ruler who ruled wrongly

[21:50]they're afraid of imam al hussain this is why they came and

[21:54]they destroyed the grave of imam al hussain this is why they

[21:56]kept harassing the zawar of imam al hussein because the name of

[22:00]imam al hussein is a reminder of the wrong that they're on

[22:06]harun he ordered for a tree that led people to the grave

[22:10]of imam al hussein to be cut off he destroyed the grave

[22:15]of imam al hussein four times tyrant after tyrant until we had

[22:22]saddam several years ago who was also doing the same do and

[22:33]and we ir we say the of imam al hussain we say

[22:42]i bear witness that you upheld prayer and and fasting and religion

[22:58]as we know it today it was defended by imam al hussain

[23:03]because imam al hussain did not give legitimacy to a man like

[23:07]yazid who wanted to erase the values that rasulullah brought imam al

[23:17]hussain did not only stand to liberate people for the purpose of

[23:21]religion imam al hussain stood to liberate people for the purpose of

[23:25]humanity and the ziyara that we recite on the day of arba'im

[23:30]a ziyara that we recited today imam al bakr he says a

[23:35]statement he says he says and i bear witness that he hussein

[23:50]he gave the blood of his heart for this religion why so

[23:58]that he can rescue the people from ignorance and the confusion of

[24:05]being astray imam al hussein is a liberator imam al hussein is

[24:10]a reformer and in any time and every time we are in

[24:14]need of imam al hussein and the message of imam al hussein

[24:18]so imam al hussein he is victorious imam al hussein until today

[24:25]revolutionaries they look up to imam al hussein isn't that proof of

[24:29]his victory imam al hussein enjoined the good and stood against the

[24:34]evil he revived people and continues to revive people until today isn't

[24:40]that the greatest proof of the victory another reason for the victory

[24:46]of imam al hussein is that the enemies of imam al hussein

[24:50]are forgotten and the name of imam al hussein illuminates the name

[24:56]of imam al hussein is raised every day no one and nothing

[25:03]can remove the name and the memory of imam al hussain even

[25:08]in the middle of a pandemic where people are afraid for their

[25:11]own lives you see they go and they visit imam al hussain

[25:14]today they call they announced in karbala over 14,000,000 people went to

[25:22]visit imam al hussain and this is a low number compared to

[25:27]the previous years in the middle of a pandemic the dearest thing

[25:32]that people have to them is their own life but they say

[25:35]i have to visit hussein i have to go and visit imam

[25:38]al hussein we pray that allah protects all of the zawar of

[25:45]imam al hussein and removes this pandemic so that we can all

[25:49]go and visit imam al hussein imam al hussein one of the

[25:56]greatest proofs of his victory is that imam al hussein is eternalized

[26:01]imam al hussein is not forgotten and this is what allah says

[26:05]about anyone who attaches themselves with allah subhanahu wa ta'ala if you

[26:10]live your life for god your goal is god's satisfaction you're going

[26:17]to be eternalized allah says it clearly in the quran do not

[26:29]consider those who were killed in the way of allah's death they

[26:34]are alive and with their lord imam al hussein is one of

[26:38]those who gave all that he had for the sake of allah

[26:42]subhanahu wa ta'ala and therefore the name and the remembrance of imam

[26:46]al hussein is alive and the of imam al hussein especially ziyarah

[26:52]of the arab ayin this is the greatest proof of the victory

[26:56]of imam al hussain it's truly amazing if any of you have

[27:02]gone for ziyarah till arab ayin you will be amazed at the

[27:06]love that is shown for the sake of imam al hussein people

[27:13]walk for hundreds of kilometers nothing stops them from visiting imam al

[27:20]hussein and those that walk to the grave of imam al hussein

[27:25]they are fed they are given everything that they need they don't

[27:28]have to spend a dime on their food they go and they

[27:31]have a place to rest they have a place to stay and

[27:36]throughout their whole journey people are taking care of them and they

[27:41]don't expect any thank you they say we do this for ababa

[27:45]abdullah we do this for imam hussein in fact those who feed

[27:51]the zuwah of imam hussein i've seen this with my own eyes

[27:55]usually when you have someone feeding someone else they feel like they've

[27:58]given a favor they feel like they've done favor upon this person

[28:02]i gave this person they act like they have done a minnah

[28:05]a favor upon them you see this everywhere except with the zawar

[28:09]of imam al hussain they feel like when they feed the zawar

[28:13]of imam al hussein they feel like the zawar have done a

[28:16]favor upon them by eating from their food by accepting to eat

[28:20]from their food i've seen poor families they save up their whole

[28:26]year just so in these days they could feed the visitors of

[28:30]imam al hussein where do you see love greater than that where

[28:34]do you see devotion and compassion and love and attachment greater than

[28:40]that this is what we see with imam al hussein this is

[28:43]what imam al hussein did to the hearts of people and this

[28:47]is what imam al hussein continues to do with hearts of people

[28:54]yes this year many of us we were not able to go

[28:58]and visit imam al hussein but don't let that stop you if

[29:02]your intention is pure if your intention is to be from amongst

[29:07]those who are visiting imam al hussain then allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

[29:11]will grant you the reward of the of imam al hussain allah

[29:16]grant you the reward of those who visit and are murdered with

[29:21]imam al hussain in a hadith from imam al raza alaihi salam

[29:27]the eighth imam of al bayt he says yabna shabib oh son

[29:32]of shabib if you want to be in the rooms with rasulullah

[29:43]in paradise who hussain imam if you want the the reward of

[30:12]those who were sacrificed with imam al al hussain meaning the 72

[30:16]companions if you want the reward of the 72 companions anytime you

[30:24]remember imam al hussain what do you say you say anytime you

[30:33]remember imam al hussein say i wish i was with them so

[30:37]that i can be victorious just as they were imam al rada

[30:43]says if someone remembers imam al hussein and they say this allah

[30:47]will grant this person the reward of being with imam al hussein

[30:52]and from the martyrs of imam al hussein because in islam allah

[30:58]has judging you based off your intentions it's not about the quantity

[31:02]it's the quality if your intention is pure then you can be

[31:06]from amongst those who are with imam al hussein and we also

[31:11]learned this from the first visitor of imam al hussein who was

[31:16]the first to visit imam al hussein one of the great companions

[31:24]of rasulullah and the companions of the imams of the ahlul bayt

[31:30]jabir ibn abdullah on the twentieth of safar on the fortieth of

[31:35]imam al hussein he arrived to karbala to come and visit imam

[31:40]al hussein he was with a helper a supporter by the name

[31:45]of atiyah jabir it seems that jabir had lost his vision so

[31:51]aqiyah used to guide him aqiyah says i came with jabir ibn

[31:57]abdullah al ansari and he wanted to visit imam al hussain so

[32:03]he says take me to the furahs take me to the euphrates

[32:07]so that i can wash myself bathe myself before i go and

[32:11]stand in front of the grave of ababdullah he says he went

[32:16]to the furah he washed himself and then he asked for the

[32:20]best perfume the perfume to place it on his body so that

[32:25]he would smell good going to the grave of aba abdullah he

[32:29]says he puts this and holds my hands and he tells me

[32:34]take me to the grave of my master hussein he says i

[32:39]was holding his hand we were walking to the grave of abba

[32:42]abdullah and jabir was saying the of allah allahu akbar allahu akbar

[32:49]he says he tells me when we reach the grave of hussein

[32:53]tell me so that i can put my hands on the grave

[32:56]of abba abdullah he says as we reach grave of abu abdullah

[33:01]i placed his hands on the grave of hussein jabir called out

[33:07]three times you hossein you hossein you he called abba abdullah al

[33:17]hussein but there was no answer imam al hussein used to always

[33:23]answer jabir this time there's no answer from abba abdullah he tells

[33:30]him oh hussain how is it that you do not answer me

[33:45]you used to always answer me he says yes you cannot answer

[33:49]me because your head was beheaded from your body he says who

[34:13]he is he begins to acknowledge that he is the son of

[34:16]rasulullah the son of amir al mumineen the son of fatima tazara

[34:21]and then he sends his to abba abdullah and to the companions

[34:28]of imam al hussain he says and then he says a statement

[34:45]that even shocks he says and then he says by the one

[34:56]who sent rasulullah as a messenger we have received the reward of

[35:05]those who were martyred with imam al hussain so shocked aatiyah tells

[35:11]him oh jabir how is it that we receive the same reward

[35:15]as those who were sacrificed with imam al hussain when their heads

[35:19]were separated from their bodies and their hands were cut off and

[35:24]nothing happened to us we didn't have to fight with a sword

[35:28]how is it that we received the same reward he says he

[35:36]tells him he tells him rasulullah he tells him oh i heard

[35:44]from whoever loves a group of people they will be with them

[35:56]and whoever loves actions of a group of people then allah will

[36:04]give them the reward of those who you love and then he

[36:07]says muhammadan he says my niyah and the niyah of my companions

[36:22]is with imam al hussein and the companions of imam al hussein

[36:26]this is what we learn from jabir ibn abdullah al ansari as

[36:31]jabir was there visiting and crying over the grave of imam al

[36:35]hussain alaihi salam aqiyah tells him oh jabir i see a darkness

[36:42]approaching from the direction of shyam jabir tells tells him oh go

[36:49]and see who it is if it is my master then tell

[36:54]me so that we get up and we welcome them and if

[36:58]it is the enemies then come and tell me so that we

[37:03]hide a while later came oh jabir get up and welcome the

[37:15]family of rasulullah this is jabir who has come from the trip

[37:25]of sham with his family with his aunts and his sisters jabir

[37:32]he got up he wanted to see imam zain al abideen he

[37:36]goes rushing to imam zain al abideen imam zain al abideen his

[37:41]his eyes fall on jabir he tells him anta jabir are you

[37:46]jabir the companion of my grandfather rasulullah jabir says i am your

[37:51]servant imam zain al abideen abideen he says oh jabir this is

[38:11]where our men were killed this is where our children were slaughtered

[38:16]this is where our women were taken captive jabir and imam imam

[38:23]zain al abideen they began to cry imam zain al abideen he

[38:27]goes to the grave of his father imam al hussain zainab she

[38:33]tells him oh my dear nephew tell me where the grave of

[38:37]my brother is tell me where the grave of habibi my lover

[38:41]is imam zain al hussain he shows her where the grave of

[38:47]imam al hussain is she threw herself on the grave of ababdillah

[38:53]it has been forty days zaynab has been separated from imam al

[38:58]hussain the woman the children they all threw themselves on the graves

[39:04]each one going to her beloved zainab she sits over the grave

[39:09]of hussain she tells him oh hussain do you know what happened

[39:14]to us in this journey she comes she asks imam she tells

[39:38]him oh my dear imam tell me where did you bury my

[39:43]ali and asghar where did you bury my son ali imam zayn

[39:48]al abideen he tells her i buried him on the chest of

[39:52]his father ababdullah i placed him on the broken chest of his

[39:57]father hussaid it's as if she goes she tells him oh my

[40:02]dear ali let me carry you on my chest your father's chest

[40:07]is broken oh allah protect the zoo'ar of imam al hussein oh

[40:46]allah make us from amongst the visitors of imam al hussein oh

[40:51]allah grant us the of imam al hussein
