[0:00]upon muham muhamad respected Elders scholar sisters and brothers this is considered
[0:21]to be arguably the number one Dua in the Muslim World often
[0:25]recited in kunut as well as ta and other places and it's
[0:32]a Dua of great significance yet linked with the happiness of the
[0:40]human beings Dua of Ayah 201 of Surah Bak is known as
[0:43]the supplication you and I from childhood have learned this supplication of
[0:53]by heart each and every Muslim perhaps will know that this Dua
[0:57]is a special Dua many times in our lives we hear reciting
[1:11]the recognition is because it's recited so many times it's become habitual
[1:16]it's become repetitive something that we recite without reflecting or thinking about
[1:24]those who are in the field of Neuroscience studying the brain and
[1:30]what happens in in the brain will come to discuss the idea
[1:33]when something is recited on a regular basis habitually they say in
[1:39]the brain we have something called the pro frontal cortex this part
[1:43]of the brain is responsible for decision making you and I when
[1:47]we have to make a decision this e in reference to how
[2:34]the brain stretches and how it grows meaning later on in life
[2:37]because we are used to so many things we do not have
[2:43]Neo the plasticity as much as we should do which means that
[2:45]the brain does not use the nerve cells as much as it
[2:51]should and therefore what happens is we become what less dependent on
[2:55]the key areas of the brain and utilize more of the basil
[3:00]ganglia when you and I I investigate the meanings and perform T
[3:03]of the Holy Quran and specifically the supplications of the Holy Quran
[3:07]it is actually a means of a healthier lifestyle for us because
[3:14]we will be utilizing the part of the brain that requires us
[3:17]to contemplate that requires us to ponder requires us to think about
[3:21]this Ayah inah Bak is an important Ayah in reference to the
[3:27]pilgrimage of Hajj please understand this when it comes to the I
[3:34]the acts of worship you and I are told that Hajj is
[3:35]obligatory at least once in our lifetime we are told to go
[3:41]towards the sacred House of Allah and to perform the pilgrimage the
[3:44]Journey of a lifetime the Journey of Hajj is truly unique and
[3:50]it is the only act of worship that the Quran has Nam
[3:56]the chapter after you will not find Surah Salah you will not
[4:01]find Surah you will not find for example Zak yet you will
[4:05]find allaha wants to highlight the importance of this particular act of
[4:13]worship many times when we come towards thinking about Hajj there is
[4:17]a misconception why because there are those who think Hajj is for
[4:21]those who are older in age Hajj is for those who indeed
[4:27]have nothing else better to do or later on in life when
[4:30]they have completed many aspects of their life they go towards the
[4:33]pilgrimage of course the Quran the religion of Islam have come forward
[4:40]and said the sooner you perform the Hajj the better for you
[4:42]and I it's not only for the elderly those who have been
[4:46]to Hajj and may Allah subhana Grant all M and M the
[4:48]opportunity to perform the pilgrimage and the Haj inshallah those who have
[4:52]been to Hajj know it's not necessarily for those who are older
[4:57]in age if you go a younger time what do you find
[4:59]you'll find that you will experience much more benefit Quran itself says
[5:05]some people say what does that mean Quran says you will witness
[5:12]so many great rewards and benefits the holy prophet someone came to
[5:23]him and said y I have lots of money but I don't
[5:28]want to go to Haj therefore the money I will use use
[5:30]for Haj I will give for the poor and the destitute why
[5:36]not we think okay it's the same I give it to the
[5:42]poor instead of going to ha the prophet in a said if
[5:47]you come and give money not only money gold that is red
[5:50]in color the most expensive gold in the weight of jabal ABI
[5:56]which was the largest mountain surrounding Al if you give that mountain
[6:03]weight of gold you will not get the of going to ha
[6:06]likewise the from the says there are three levels of reward for
[6:13]those who go to ha number one the least is that your
[6:16]family and your wealth will be protected by Allah second level of
[6:22]reward for those who go to Hajj is that your past sins
[6:24]will be forgiven the third is phenomenal the r says the third
[6:31]and the highest level of attaining reward of Haj is for your
[6:34]past and future sins to be forgiven all the sins in the
[6:46]future also if you are what in line with the values and
[6:48]what you have learned in ha however the of the are very
[6:54]very firm and those who denounce and do not go to Haj
[6:59]whilst they have ability today I speak to some youngsters even those
[7:03]who are not young who are able to go financially they are
[7:07]able to go they are able to afford it why are you
[7:10]not going to Hajj they say you know what brother I'm not
[7:13]ready mentally I'm not ready yet this is not an excuse in
[7:20]Islamic jurisprudence the holy prophet of Islam has come forward and said
[7:25]this Hadith please understand this Hadith yes of the Hadith says if
[7:38]you don't go to Hajj and you are able to you are
[7:42]cfir then the says if you die you die a Christian or
[7:47]a Jew it's not a joke it's not a matter to take
[7:49]lightly the recognition that emerges is because there is so much immense
[7:54]benefit for the human being in Haj the recommendations is are is
[8:01]that don't delay if you are able to go then go by
[8:03]all means do not indeed leave it towards the end of the's
[8:10]life this particular Dua has been placed within the discussion of inah
[8:16]Bak why the tell us and the Quran in vers 202 says
[8:26]the Muslims when they finish the Haj they thought everything is finished
[8:31]now they have been forgiven now let us gossip let us talk
[8:37]let us chat let us discuss anything so what did they used
[8:40]to do they used to boast about their forefathers they used to
[8:45]boast about which family has a better Prestige so they us to
[8:48]sit in circles in Mina and some will say my family is
[8:52]better than your family my father is greater than your father Allah
[8:56]subhana waala says no no no don't just remember Allah the same
[9:03]as you remember who you are and your forefathers mention him more
[9:08]so it is the opportunity to thck for the remembrance of the
[9:13]almighty the question is once Hajj finishes Hajj is not necessarily over
[9:17]the beginning of the journey is when the pilgrimage ends Hajj commences
[9:24]when you and I complete the rituals like the holy month of
[9:28]Ramadan I remember some people they used to get angry during the
[9:33]day of the fast when they are angry during the day of
[9:35]the fast they don't want to respond to somebody they say Ya
[9:39]Allah I am fasting somebody says what are you going to do
[9:42]they say when I have I will respond to you when I
[9:46]have ifar at night or for example you see in the Arab
[9:51]world I don't know about India Pakistan other places but in the
[9:55]Arab world the number one time of the year where there are
[9:57]television programs and serial dramas and soap operas is the month of
[10:04]Ramadan at night there are so many choices they watch different Subhan
[10:10]Allah yes it seems that the month of Ramadan is being made
[10:15]similarly to what the Christians do in Christmas and Easter that there
[10:19]is a movement to what to take away the actual Spirit of
[10:24]the month there is no harm in the night to relax in
[10:26]the night to for example have conversations but not them main focus
[10:32]on and wasting time the recognition therefore emerges also after the 20
[10:36]Ramadan the nights of when they are over people think I'm now
[10:41]ready for seven days still remain seven days of Ramadan people think
[10:45]23rd is the Eve ofid for seven days that's it now Allah
[10:51]has forgiven my sins the nights of is over it's as if
[10:54]the holy month of Ramadan has been completed Allah wa sends a
[10:59]powerful message in Surah Bak here afterwards the discussion begins regarding this
[11:03]particular Dua and I'd like to look at this on this Dua
[11:07]so that next time when we recite it in we do not
[11:12]just recite it with the oscillation of the tongue I know what
[11:16]is it that I'm saying but not only that what are the
[11:19]deeper meanings of this is related to a very important subject that's
[11:27]Universal in nature it's called the Pursuit of Happiness the desire for
[11:32]human beings to seek s prosperity joy well-being and indeed happiness what
[11:39]do we mean today if you ask any human being irrespective of
[11:42]their religion you ask them would you like to be happy they
[11:46]would say yes I would like to live a life which is
[11:51]full of satisfaction and joy psychologists and therapists they define happiness as
[11:55]the state of mental and physical well-being that brings about a sense
[12:02]of satisfaction and joy in the life of human being today around
[12:06]the world we have indicators of Happiness did you know that there
[12:11]is a world annual happiness index what does that mean every country
[12:16]in the world is measured in regards to how happy the people
[12:23]are so they measure their happiness based on for example GDP gross
[12:27]domestic product for example how long they live for example corruption many
[12:33]factors and they publish it every year with a list of 138
[12:36]countries number one country in 2024 whereby people said we are happy
[12:47]is which country no Finland Finland then Iceland then Denmark these countries
[12:57]Scandinavian countries unfortunately number 138 was Afghanistan s mosambi which number is
[13:07]mosambi in this 138 list 90 it is 90 in the list
[13:14]of the world happiness index you would know why more than I
[13:18]do the recognition however is happiness is not necessarily confined to certain
[13:23]groups it is one that is indeed shared by youngsters Elders throughout
[13:29]history everybody would like to be happy likewise somebody came to the
[13:35]holy prophet he said to him do I have to do must
[13:47]do I have to do supplement recommendatory prayers the prophet of Islam
[13:53]says it's not waj you don't have to do it so the
[13:57]man said I will not be held accountable by Allah if I
[14:01]don't do the recommendations example to give these are all recommendations the
[14:08]prophet said no you don't have to the man said yah Allah
[14:13]I want to testify that in my life I will no longer
[14:16]do anything I will only do this is in the book narrated
[14:21]from the six holy IM peace be upon him I often mention
[14:26]the reference so that you know the background behind the ey so
[14:30]the prophet said to him why are you saying this why you
[14:32]don't want to do any the man said Allah has made me
[14:40]ugly I don't like it I'm not happy I'm not very handsome
[14:46]incidentally the prophet did not look at him and out of courtesy
[14:53]say no no no mallah you look good he stayed silent meaning
[14:56]the man maybe also didn't look good some sometimes when you find
[15:00]somebody who doesn't pray or doesn't wear hijab or doesn't practice they
[15:07]come to you say I am a sinner I have done so
[15:07]much wrong say no no no you're okay don't worry why are
[15:13]you saying this in order to make them feel happy you must
[15:18]not say something which is false yes the prophet remained silent he
[15:21]put his head down he waited for the descends and says to
[15:29]him yes that Allah send Salam to you that Allah send Salam
[15:44]to what this servant and says to him are you not happy
[15:54]that Allah will make you on the day of judgment from Those
[15:57]whom he protects he will look after so the prophet says this
[16:02]to this man he says Allah send Salam to you and says
[16:06]you want to be protected on the day of the man said
[16:08]Allah send Salam to me he says yes he says he will
[16:12]look after you on the day of meaning it's okay that you're
[16:14]not necessarily very good-look just be patient with it so the man
[16:20]said I am here bearing witness that because of this I am
[16:25]so happy that Allah will look after me on the day of
[16:29]from now on I will do all the mus that I can
[16:31]now I will do it yes in the recognition that happiness is
[16:37]need is something that sometimes you and I may go through a
[16:40]period whereby we question some of the things that causes our problems
[16:44]meaning some people who are not wealthy they say wealth brings happiness
[16:48]whereas today we know many who are wealthy are not necessarily happy
[16:55]there are those who have come forward and said Prestige or for
[16:59]example very well known individuals Fame can be happy however many times
[17:04]those who are famous they say we are not necessarily attaining that
[17:08]satisfaction and joy why we cannot do what normal people do in
[17:13]the in the essence we cannot go outside we will be noticed
[17:15]Etc there are those who have come said that for example relationships
[17:20]can cause happiness and this has been shown scientifically the longest study
[17:25]of human behavior since the 1930s till now has looked at what
[17:33]brings about joy happiness s for the human beings they concluded one
[17:37]of the most important things is relationships meaning either family relationships or
[17:43]friendship this brings about a sense of happiness and this is something
[17:49]that supports Islamic teachings in which way the holy prophet he comes
[18:01]forward and says Ah most of the time we hear the Hadith
[18:10]that says if you get married you save God half of your
[18:15]religion that's his Hadith that is found definitely no problem yet there
[18:19]is another Hadith that says if you get married you attain half
[18:27]of happiness once I said this to one gentleman he said to
[18:34]me molana I still haven't found 10% said the problem is in
[18:39]you not the Hadith we will discuss marriage inshallah one of the
[18:44]nights but the recognition that emerges sometimes people look for happiness in
[18:51]different areas different ways to satisfy themselves however let's look at it
[18:59]from the Islamic lens how do we utilize to understand happiness from
[19:05]the Islamic perspective please understand this discussion because it is very much
[19:09]linked to the month of Ramadan and the Holy Quran the first
[19:14]realization that indeed is presented within the teachings of the religion of
[19:17]Islam from the Quran and the is that the source of happiness
[19:24]and the ultimate way that any individual can attain it can only
[19:28]be from Allah and Allah subhana tala alone meaning that is the
[19:32]source of Happiness nobody can experience happiness without true connection to their
[19:41]creator Allah waala it is Allah who is the source and brings
[19:44]about this sense of well-being joy and prosperity to human beings sometimes
[19:49]people say but I know some atheists who are happy I have
[19:55]seen some disbelievers who experience some form of Joy this is shortterm
[19:58]this is not real this is transient this is fake because then
[20:04]they will look for something else that's [Music] why the greatest moment
[20:21]in the life of was when the greatest moment of his life
[20:24]which one phenomenal his birth unique being raised byol Allah nobody else
[20:36]had that F being in the battles and defeating the enemies his
[20:41]sword nothing else Compares when it comes to this yet the greatest
[20:45]moment for Ali was when he was in s and felt the
[20:50]sword and said when he said I have now become truly happy
[20:57]and successful by the lord of the why because he knew the
[21:06]greatest feeling an individual can experience is to receive that Joy from
[21:11]Allah subhah wa taala and to meet him incidentally anybody asks you
[21:19]why did say why didn't he say why didn't he utter why
[21:31]did he say understand this there is a reason the reason one
[21:36]of the reasons and Allah knows best that the commander of the
[21:39]faithful said is he is saying I am returning to this Lord
[21:46]whom I was the only individual who was born in his sacred
[21:54]house the Kaa The only yes he says I am the only
[22:00]individual yes therefore experiences this happiness in this moment in Dua Abu
[22:15]Hamza this mesmerizing supplication that it is a true benefit and a
[22:19]treasure and a gift that is being given to you and I
[22:23]W I say this to all my M sisters and brothers when
[22:27]we have such treasure from the such such as these duas let
[22:31]us not Reserve these duas for certain times of the year only
[22:36]let us utilize them throughout the whole year meaning how many of
[22:41]us recite Dua Abu Hamza outside the month of Ramadan some people
[22:45]say it's too long molana Allah it's too long I say who
[22:51]said you must recite the whole thing recite one page three lines
[22:55]two pages who told you you must recite it in Arabic who
[23:01]said recite it in Portuguese recite it in uru garati any language
[23:09]any way in which you can connect of course Arabic sometimes gives
[23:12]some people a sense of spirituality Quran is different Quran must be
[23:16]recited in Arabic and then also if you want to recite in
[23:21]other languages that's secondary however Dua can be recited in any language
[23:27]that you particularly want and therefore Imam in Dua what does he
[23:32]says he says Subhan Allah he's saying Allah you put me in
[23:43]Janam imagine Allah says to you and I God forbid now you
[23:48]are going in Janam what do we say to Allah please I
[23:53]don't want I I will do anything Imam says no Ya Allah
[23:55]even if you put me in Janam I will do one thing
[23:59]I will speak to the people of Janam and tell them how
[24:02]much I love you how much I want to remember you that
[24:08]means even in Jam I am seeking you that is the fact
[24:14]that you are the only source of prosperity happiness and joy and
[24:18]that's why in the Holy Quran we are told an important realization
[24:23]please focus on this if Allah subhana is the source of happiness
[24:26]in our lives then by deduction and through the Quran we find
[24:32]that the Quran is the constitution of Happiness Quran Allah waala has
[24:35]given us many guidelines some people approach the Quran with a heavy
[24:39]heart some people approach the Quran that it is not a book
[24:41]that will solve their problems it's not the book that will bring
[24:45]them a sense of satisfaction in life Allah says in chapter 20
[24:55]Allah says to the holy prophet I have not revealed the Quran
[25:00]to you so that you are not happy this is addressing you
[25:02]and I meaning the Quran is the book in which it has
[25:08]guidelines and tips and instructions on how you and I can become
[25:12]truly delighted and happy in this world and importantly in hence what
[25:19]do we find he gives us a wonderful prescription with three tips
[25:34]please understand this but before I give you these three tips I'd
[25:37]like to mention an important thing we have said this for years
[25:44]if I now come and ask you please explain to me a
[25:47]summary of the lectures you heard last year in the month of
[25:53]Ramadan from our dear good brother and colleague she Mustafa masud and
[25:57]the year before from my good friend Sheikh n Muhammad Give me
[26:05]a summary main points you learned you know after muharam and saf
[26:10]usually and maybe after Ramadan but I usually ask people after muharam
[26:16]and saf how are the majal of Mam and saf they say
[26:20]masallah molana was amazing how amazing he was brilliant I love the
[26:26]maalis I said M excellent so give me five minutes of what
[26:32]he said well I can't remember you can't remember so these majalis
[26:38]of Ali Muhammad are for what for you to feel good these
[26:43]majales of Ali Muhammad are instructions for the happiness on this world
[26:48]and how many of us make an effort to make notes when
[26:53]we go back home how many of us go back to the
[26:54]recording and take some Hadith to make a note for us to
[26:58]benefit from how many of us discuss with our families what did
[27:01]you learn today this was the most important point for me that
[27:05]I would like to apply into my life the key aspect of
[27:08]these majalis is not just passive listening but Active Learning and change
[27:13]that happens in our lives that is how we then will be
[27:17]able to see whether we are benefiting from the knowledge of the
[27:21]Quran and the mentions three these tips he says you want to
[27:29]be happy have these three he says if you are practicing these
[27:34]three you will attain prosperity and happiness and it's linked to before
[27:40]I discuss it number one he says every time you see a
[27:49]blessing you say alhamdulillah question when people went through covid-19 did you
[27:57]say alhamdulillah when at least 50,000 innocent men women and children were
[28:06]slaughtered and continue to be killed in Gaza did you say alhamdulillah
[28:12]when you went through severe illness did you say alhamdulillah when you
[28:18]lost your money in a business transaction did you say alhamdulillah when
[28:22]you had a car accident did you say alhamdulillah when you're about
[28:26]to get married and it falls through and it doesn't take place
[28:31]did you say alhamdulillah somebody asks the Imam says when there is
[28:35]a that Allah gives you you have to say alhamdulillah these are
[28:41]not blessings these are trials Co andaza and sickness and wealth these
[28:46]are all examinations why should I say alhamdulillah for it yes I
[28:52]should be patient I should be okay not necessarily complain question did
[28:58]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala have a role in what you and I
[29:03]go through as far as adversities hardships or difficulties or concerned or
[29:08]no of course did he allow covid-19 to take place yes did
[29:15]he create the co Corona virus yes did he allow it to
[29:19]spread yes is it by his permission yes so why should I
[29:23]not say alhamdulillah why should I not thank him for everything that
[29:32]has happened before us let me put this further idea in into
[29:35]our minds what do we mean there are two types of blessings
[29:43]there is there is that is evident clear wealth Health security children
[29:49]everything there is hidden things we do not see we cannot understand
[29:55]but Allah subhana wa tala makes it happen into our our lives
[30:00]and unfortunately we are very shortsighted people we cannot see beyond our
[30:05]vision is very limited we get angry I remember during Co somebody
[30:10]said every morning I do a special which L you do on
[30:17]the enemies of you do on mu Abu sufyan yazid this he
[30:20]said no no no no I do this anyway in I said
[30:24]he said Co vac Co virus every morning I say Ya Allah
[30:31]send your on this virus a one minute one minute press pause
[30:36]pause this Co is a creation of Allah you are sending L
[30:41]to the creation of Allah whom Allah himself created now what does
[30:44]this mean the recognition that imag immediately images is sometimes we are
[30:49]very shortsighted if you want the answer to this doubt in your
[30:54]mind now that I should be saying alhamdulillah and I should be
[30:57]grateful for all the hardships and the difficulties because it's either a
[31:01]test in which I can become a better human being or or
[31:06]it is an opportunity for me to what to have the sins
[31:10]forgiven because it's a punishment either way it's good either way it's
[31:15]beneficial either way it's a blessing from Allah subhana tala if you
[31:21]have doubt about this then what I'm about to say will clarify
[31:24]this doubt for sure because there is no hardship calamity difficulty Massacre
[31:30]like what happened on the 10th of muharam in carala do you
[31:33]agree that when you and I remember the day of we see
[31:39]the upon yet when this great lady of Islam is asked by
[31:49]what do you think about what God did to your brother what
[31:52]did she say each and every one of us would have said
[31:56]oh it was hard it was difficult I lost my sons I
[31:57]lost my brother S I lost my companions I am my outer
[32:02]garment of hijab taken away from me everything everything it's so painful
[32:07]yet Zab if is from the school of Quran and indeed is
[32:10]what is a student of Ali Zab says I have not seen
[32:21]anything other than Beauty yes this is an expression of gratitude to
[32:25]Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala it's an expression of thankful what do we mean
[32:31]we as Believers must recognize that whatever happens to us in our
[32:35]lives is part of Allah subhana tala's plan for us and the
[32:40]more I am grateful to him the more I will attain reward
[32:49]from him Quran says if you grateful I will give you more
[32:58]but if you're not then you will not see the benefits and
[33:03]hence says the first part of seeking happiness is to say alhamdulillah
[33:07]whatever happens in your life so that you're able to deal with
[33:12]it in the right manner alhamdulillah means to praise Allah subhanahu wa
[33:16]taala and to acknowledge that this is part of the bigger plan
[33:18]then he says the second thing when Allah takes away risk from
[33:25]you then seek this is in relation to the whole beautiful concept
[33:34]and the virtue of means what means contentment when I am satisfied
[33:43]with what I have been given the holy prophet famously says contentment
[33:56]is the best source of happiness for the body when you know
[34:03]Allah subhah wa ta'ala has given you and this what he has
[34:07]given you should give you a sense of what sense of contentment
[34:12]meaning what there is a beautiful that says if you are happy
[34:21]with the little from this world then you'll be okay but if
[34:26]you're not happy with whatever you you want and you won't keep
[34:29]even wanting more then everything in this world will never be enough
[34:35]for you you will never be satisfied but if you want to
[34:38]always have more the aspirations of the human being should not be
[34:45]limited but should not be primarily based on the goal of attaining
[34:48]prosperity in this existence and hence today 200 millionaires were asked in
[34:58]the United States are you happy in a study by Harvard are
[35:03]you happy they said we will only be happy if we have
[35:05]two or three times more than what we have we are not
[35:13]necessarily Muslim but this is the nature of human beings that they
[35:16]always necessarily want more whereas here the the true Prosperity is we
[35:23]can understand our limits and what Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has given
[35:29]us the says Whoever has if you are happy with what Allah
[35:41]has given you you've become the richest of the people and somebody
[35:46]came to IM he said to him I am if to give
[36:04]you 100,000 dins and says to you this is in return for
[36:10]you giving your faith and your of would you give it the
[36:17]man said no I don't want the 100,000 I will keep this
[36:23]will Imam said then no because of this you are the richest
[36:26]of the people don't say I am poor you have IM and
[36:31]you have the belief in the will then you are what you
[36:37]are rich from within isn't it this will of Ali Muhammad do
[36:41]not underestimate its power its importance its significance and its role in
[36:46]our lives sometimes we forget it we take it lightly sometimes we
[36:50]don't think of its importance yet it is truly a wonderful gift
[36:56]when you see others suffering without this of when you see for
[37:03]example children in the walk giving and serving the of IM Hussein
[37:08]out of love from young childhood they give this in the name
[37:14]of theam I saw this beautiful clip they made it in Kuwait
[37:17]after a Maj they got a few children and they wa kept
[37:22]them outside and they bought one child at a time and they
[37:24]had a hidden camera so they did not see that there is
[37:28]a camera they said to the child we will give you $500
[37:30]and we will give you this PS machine PlayStation just say one
[37:37]time only I do not love Imam Hussein that's it experiment yes
[37:44]they asked every single child who is coming to the majalis who
[37:49]is part of the congregation to do this not one child actually
[37:54]uttered they said you can never take away from my heart the
[37:59]love of Hussein Ali so this of the do not think that
[38:11]what do not think that it is a misly or something very
[38:14]small it is something tremendously important in our lives and that's why
[38:19]the holy six Imam says if you are satisfied with Allah has
[38:25]given you Allah will be satisfied with the little that you do
[38:30]if you're happy with the be happy with the that you give
[38:38]yes because he is and the third thing says when you go
[38:50]through pain and hardship make sure you always say which means what
[38:55]there is no might there is no power except Allah Allah subhana
[38:58]wa tala which means that this that has happened to me indeed
[39:04]Allah is aware of and it is part of the decree that
[39:06]Allah subhana wa tala wants me to go through let's go back
[39:13]to the Dua the Dua here says what in verse number 200
[39:23]says there are those who say Ya Allah give us in but
[39:30]they do not remember please Focus this very very important last few
[39:35]points Allah subhana tal says too many people are only praying for
[39:39]this dun too many people their haat are only for this world
[39:50]rewind to the last time you were in z or nights of
[39:57]or after du anytime where somebody tells you haat I don't want
[40:04]anyone to tell me their haat but you now think about what
[40:07]was your haat Ya Allah I want risk Ya Allah I want
[40:15]good family Ya Allah I want health no problem very nice this
[40:22]is good these are things you should be asking for however did
[40:26]it stop there because because sometimes haat list takes one or two
[40:31]minutes I've seen some people with massive list no problem but this
[40:39]that we ask is it only or Does it include why because
[40:43]the Quran says doesn't say and they do not care they have
[40:54]no interest in then the next Ayah Ayah 2011 and says but
[40:57]there are some who say now in the Holy Quran there is
[41:12]no reference to H in the Ayah before but there is reference
[41:15]to here what do we mean this is very important in the
[41:24]Dua of there is no Baraka if you do not include in
[41:26]Dua of D there is no success and happiness if you do
[41:33]not also supplicate for because the Quran does not mention when he
[41:37]when Allah speaks about Dua of does it say the next Ayah
[41:48]says now emerges please understand the difference one a doesn't include H
[41:53]because it's only exclusive for du one ay says no if you
[42:00]want the true H you will get if you supplicate for what
[42:07]is h when I'm reciting what does actually mean there is a
[42:21]narration he says D that Hass here is to get more risk
[42:35]to be happy in life and to have good or to be
[42:39]what in a good state of health in this world yes the
[42:45]holy prophet peace be upon him and his family says says anyone
[42:56]who has a heart that is grateful to Allah a tongue that
[43:01]is remembering Allah and a wife or a husband that helps them
[43:09]in their Affairs of Dean and this world so that's another narration
[43:20]there are narrations that says is narration says H is some narration
[43:27]says some say what some say it's some say it's some say
[43:32]it's all these are included why because in Arabic this term is
[43:44]necessarily known as meaning it is not Al it is means everything
[43:52]that's good everything that is positive everything that is beneficial that Allah
[44:00]subhana tala gives so when I recite I am asking for all
[44:08]goodness and all virtue and all things that bring me happiness everything
[44:13]however can a human being attain true happiness in D this is
[44:22]a key question can I be really happy in this existence the
[44:28]AY says no the Ayah says no in which way Allah subhanahu
[44:33]wa ta'ala mentions in several verses of the Holy Quran benefits and
[44:38]the rewards and the fruits and the enjoyments of paradise do you
[44:45]agree there are people who are looking forward to the food of
[44:48]Jenna there are people who look forward to their physical relationships in
[44:57]in duas with the month of Ramadan we have one Dua which
[45:02]explains and goes through the benefits and the rewards of paradise yes
[45:05]one of the part of the Dua is you have all memorized
[45:14]yes from please give us a spouse remember one Community they used
[45:24]to recite this Dua the person reciting the Dua he used to
[45:28]skip it this so when he reaches it he doesn't say it
[45:31]then he continues the next part so the he's a friend of
[45:36]mine he went to him he said to him brother why are
[45:40]you skipping it's part of the Dua he said molana please I
[45:43]have my reason he said what is your reason he said every
[45:47]time I recite it we have a fight with my wife on
[45:49]the way back home why you saying You must marry me not
[45:55]I always have a problem with my yes there are those who
[46:00]want this element of J yes do you agree there are those
[46:03]who want to be in proximity with the which is an amazing
[46:08]realization Quran says all this is amazing but there is something higher
[46:11]there is something more spectacular there's something more profound there's something deeper
[46:15]sweeter more enjoyable more cause of happiness than all these blessings of
[46:22]J chapter 9 verse number 72 Allah says Quran says Allah says
[46:38]Allah has promised the believing men and women Paradise underneath Rivers floor
[46:43]and Gardens and the fruits and everything then he says but when
[46:48]Allah is happy with you that feeling of Happiness can never be
[46:53]described to any physical pleasure of paradise it is the sweetest the
[47:01]most beautiful feeling because Allah says abbar when some when Allah says
[47:04]Akbar you cannot compare it to when human being say something is
[47:07]greater akar means it's higher it's more magnificent so Allah says when
[47:12]an individual is in Jenna when they get the feeling that is
[47:18]happy with them that is the manifestation of the greatest moment and
[47:21]the best form of Happiness the human being can ever attain that
[47:27]is the true essence of that is the true essence of Happiness
[47:31]when you know Allah waala is pleased with you when you know
[47:38]Allah subhana is happy with you in Salah we say isn't it
[47:44]we want Allah waala to be happy with us because in this
[47:50]world sometimes we get happiness but it's short term sometimes it is
[47:55]happiness which is condemned in Islam not every time we are happy
[47:58]it's good when we sin and we are happy this is not
[48:05]acceptable likewise when we are in the state of boasting the community
[48:08]said to him don't be happy Allah does not like those who
[48:15]are happy some people have come and said why what's wrong with
[48:17]being happy it's because he was boastful ostentatious meaning he was showing
[48:26]off his might he showing off his wealth and therefore he became
[48:31]what arrogant Quran says no that is unacceptable happiness in this world
[48:36]there is an ability to reach a degree of happiness but the
[48:39]true is in why because the last part of the Ayah says
[48:47]that when we are protected from the chastisement of hell it is
[48:54]truly when we sense joy and satisfaction hence in con conclusion when
[48:59]we discuss happiness from the Viewpoint of Quran and it's different to
[49:05]what non-muslims believe non-muslims have their own understanding of how to attain
[49:11]happiness in this world we can attain a degree we can work
[49:14]towards the ultimate form of s which is when we attain the
[49:23]pleasure of Allah subhanahu and are next to the holy muham the
[49:36]final point two points is a famous story or a story with
[49:41]lessons and one insh the great brother of by the name of
[49:51]was a great man was not how history wants you and I
[49:55]to know about him was beloved by the holy prophet and this
[50:03]story most people have heard from the member ail wanting more money
[50:08]and IM Ali putting his hands on the fire I have discussed
[50:13]last year in muharam how this story has been distorted and it
[50:19]is not the way we are presenting because Ben anybody related to
[50:25]they character assassinated him they tried to give a bad image of
[50:33]him so in our view is a very righteous honorable individual that
[50:38]we love and respect and once when was mared was a defender
[50:45]of the of because he went to Sham mu summoned him in
[50:51]sham he was spreading the but sometimes you have to be smart
[50:56]how to do it it not the way that we are all
[51:00]accustomed to so one day mua said to him I want you
[51:04]to sit on the member and do on AB I want you
[51:10]to send on so he sat on the member and he said
[51:18]the Amir the khif has ordered me to do on AB therefore
[51:27]send on him and he came down people were confused in Arabic
[51:33]this could this could mean what anything this either could mean send
[51:42]on yes because he is the one who said yes that he
[51:45]has asked me to send on AB therefore send on him and
[51:51]some people mistakenly thought that he is saying mu he was not
[51:59]stupid he knew he summoned him he said what is this I
[52:05]asked you to do on Ali you tell people to do on
[52:09]me yes he was smart in the sense that some people said
[52:11]no no no he said so it means and there is another
[52:16]man who developed a very similar strategy his name is he is
[52:19]from The Scholar many many years ago has some uh and some
[52:27]ations and some books or Works praising so the people came to
[52:34]him and said are you sh orni he was in reality Sunni
[52:36]okay but he did not want to say publicly that he is
[52:41]Sunni this is what he said to them they said to him
[52:45]okay we will test you who is the true Khalifa after the
[52:48]prophet who he said whoever the true Khalifa after the prophet is
[52:57]the who who the one who had the prophet's daughter in his
[53:01]house so now there was confusion because the prophet's daughter the the
[53:09]the person's the Khalifa's daughter in the prophet's house so now what
[53:12]am is married to who's the prophet's daughter the first abak his
[53:20]daughter is AA she's married to the holy prophet so this in
[53:25]Arabic can mean either way yes and they said we are confused
[53:29]let's ask you another question because we still don't know if you
[53:32]are Sunni or Shia they asked him they said how many are
[53:36]after The Prophet said that this is it we will know whether
[53:38]you're Sunni or Shia how many are there he said four four
[53:47]four said what do you mean he said I said four four
[53:51]four yes so the Shia understood it as 12 the Sunni understood
[53:55]it as four yes sometimes in a world that we live in
[54:03]we have to be smart how we present our speech and not
[54:06]fall in traps today our youth they are falling in traps of
[54:09]social media every comment everything they put on social media they think
[54:16]they are being keyboard worriors they call them they think that they
[54:20]want to somehow clarify something but sometimes you have to present Islam
[54:26]and the school of B in the most respectful and the most
[54:28]intelligent of ways don't rush into writing whatever you wish and responding
[54:34]to whatever you want to by the way not everything you have
[54:41]to respond not every attack you have to try and clarify there
[54:44]are so many people who are barking 24 hours a day there
[54:49]are so many people who will never be satisfied whatever you put
[54:52]don't necessarily go to the lower level of arguing with them over
[54:56]everything be smart and intelligent into exactly what you say online and
[55:01]indeed offline and the final point is the sometimes a Salah that
[55:11]is W can become sometimes a Salah that's obligatory can become recommendatory
[55:23]what do you mean say for example you have come to the
[55:29]mosque and you go to the Masid and you see no taking
[55:35]place and you want to perform your so you perform your story
[55:43]when you finish somebody comes and now they say we want to
[55:46]perform Jam but you say I've already done so my I'm finished
[55:53]I go home no it is must to join the with the
[56:01]of Performing you get for repeating the Salah but the is so
[56:13]just because you have already done it does it mean you can
[56:20]not again perform it and this time get the of and of
[56:24]Performing this Salah of course if you have then it is better
[56:31]to join and perform near of you get the of and you
[56:36]get the theab of what performing it in this particular way in
[56:40]the mosque however if you have no and you have completed your
[56:43]prayers it is good recommended to come and perform must theah that's
[56:51]a reminder regarding this element of theab and so on I got
[56:54]a question two days ago on the application that I have my
[56:59]app somebody asked this question made me laugh sometimes I receive hundreds
[57:03]of questions one question made me laugh the question said molana I
[57:06]have heard that if you go to Hajj all your sins will
[57:11]be forgiven and you come back a clean slate so I'm intending
[57:14]to go to ha because I have 10 year of when I
[57:17]come back no good try good try but it is not like
[57:23]that yes so when we are saying that when you get the
[57:28]doesn't mean the obligation is removed no you get but the obligation
[57:31]Still Remains
