[4:23]prepare for the day prepare for a week down the line for

[4:29]a month down the line for a year down the line hope

[4:32]encourages us to persist and continue what we're doing if we did

[4:40]not have any hope if we were living hopeless then we would

[4:44]be not doing anything we would not be able to do anything

[4:50]because anything that you want to do anything that you want to

[4:54]achieve requires you to have some type of Hope some type of

[4:59]optimism some type of payoff the work that you're doing a person

[5:04]goes to work because they have hope that this work is going

[5:09]to give them a sustenance this hope this work is going to

[5:12]be the reason why they receive an income a farmer plants a

[5:18]seed in the ground because the farmer has hope that in a

[5:24]couple months this seed is going to become into a plant and

[5:26]into a tree and into something that gives life and hope is

[5:34]is very important someone who goes to school you go to school

[5:40]you study you do what you can because you have hope that

[5:43]you're going to see the results you're going to see the fruits

[5:47]of this work and then Hadith having hope is a form of

[5:59]Mercy for my ummah and if it was not for Hope if

[6:11]it was not for hope no mother would nurture and feed her

[6:15]child because she would say what's the point of feeding my child

[6:18]I have hope for this child to grow older for this child

[6:22]to become an adult to become a teenager and then become an

[6:24]adult if it was not for hope no farmer would plant a

[6:32]seed because a farmer plants a seed because they have hope that

[6:35]they are going to see the results of what they're planting in

[6:40]a Hadith that is narrated he narrates a Hadith from Jesus he

[6:50]says that Prophet Islam one day he saw an old man a

[6:56]man who was old he has a shovel in his hand and

[7:00]he is digging and he's planting and he's working very hard plowing

[7:03]the field and working exhausting himself so the Hadith says take away

[7:17]Hope from him as soon as he said that that man he

[7:21]dropped the shovel he sat down and then right away a couple

[7:30]moments later Prophet is Hope back to him the man got up

[7:38]and he took the shovel and he started plowing and he started

[7:42]working so Prophet Islam he comes to that man and he tells

[7:47]him what happened you you were working then you sat down and

[7:51]then you got up and you started working again he said while

[7:56]I was working I thought to myself he doesn't know that is

[8:00]experiment he he said I was working and I thought to myself

[8:05]you know I'm an old man why am I working so hard

[8:08]why am I exhausting myself plowing the field and digging and with

[8:12]the shovel and all these things let me just relax and then

[8:16]I sat for a while and then I said no as long

[8:19]as I have life I have to work I have to feed

[8:23]myself I have to work I have to plan I have to

[8:26]actively work for my life and this is why I got up

[8:33]and I started working so this is the greatness of hope this

[8:36]is what hope does Hope makes a person work hope makes a

[8:39]person plan for tomorrow plan for a year down the line plan

[8:46]for Generations even right now in some corporations some governments some individuals

[8:52]they have a one-year plan A Five-Year Plan a 10-year plan you

[8:57]see you plan and you you prepare yourself for the future and

[9:04]this is what hope does now hope is a good thing it's

[9:10]a very powerful feeling that allows people to do certain things that

[9:13]they would not do otherwise however hope is a double-edged sword hope

[9:18]could be dangerous it could be very dangerous for a person it

[9:23]could be the biggest distraction in your life when you have too

[9:30]much false hope hope is a good thing but it all matters

[9:32]on what you're hoping in what's your hope what are you betting

[9:38]on are you putting all of your eggs in one basket which

[9:40]basket is it is it the basket of the Dunya or is

[9:45]it the basket of the akhra so it's important for us to

[9:48]have hope however Our Hope should be in Allah Our Hope should

[9:55]be hope in the afterlife hope in what God gives us because

[10:01]if I'm just hoping for things in this Dunya eventually this Dunya

[10:04]is going to let us down eventually this life find the person

[10:09]who worked so hard for this Dunya eventually this Dunya lets them

[10:13]down but our hope should be in Allah and we see numerous

[10:21]examples in the Quran of the prophets of Allah they show us

[10:24]the importance of holding on to Hope even in a desperate time

[10:29]in a time where you feel like the whole world has turned

[10:32]against you in a time where you see that there's no light

[10:36]at the end of the tunnel the prophets of Allah they show

[10:39]us how to be resilient and keep your hope in Allah he's

[10:49]swallowed by a well in the middle of the night and in

[10:55]the darkness of the ocean he has hope in Allah he had

[11:07]hope in Allah in the darkest time Salaam Prophet when they took

[11:17]away his son from him his son Yusuf was taken away for

[11:23]40 years Yusuf yakub is missing Yusuf yakub is disconnected from his

[11:28]beloved Son his son who is a prophet who's a great man

[11:31]but even at the end even when yakub becomes an old man

[11:37]he keeps his faith and his hope in Allah and he does

[11:41]not give a pope on losing use of 40 years have passed

[11:43]he tells his sons he said my hope is in God and

[11:57]do not give up hope in the mercy of Allah and the

[12:02]giving and the compassion of Allah because he tells us because those

[12:10]who give up on God they are the kufar the people who

[12:16]don't believe in God what's the difference between someone who believes in

[12:19]God and someone who does not believe in God this is the

[12:22]difference the one who believes in God they believe in the Unseen

[12:25]you believe in something that you don't see you can't feel or

[12:30]touch or sense but you believe in it you believe that there

[12:32]is a higher power that is able to help you that is

[12:36]able to support you and be there for you and this is

[12:40]and eventually Allah answered them Allah reconnected him with his son Prophet

[12:48]Yusuf Allah another example of a prophet not giving up in Allah

[12:58]and continuing to have hope is prophet zakariah of God but zakariah

[13:06]never gave up on Allah Zachariah he becomes an old man an

[13:13]old man and he doesn't have a son he doesn't have a

[13:16]child does he give up zakariah does not give up on Allah

[13:19]is becomes an old man but he does not give up hope

[13:50]in Allah he does not give up Faith in Allah because he

[13:52]knows that Allah I'm thinking that seems impossible and to what and

[13:59]to possible and to something that is possible very possible in the

[14:05]hands of Allah so this is the positive hope that we should

[14:09]all have and no one should give up hope in Allah in

[14:15]your darkest moments wherever you may be you have to keep that

[14:19]Faith and Hope in Allah however my dear brothers and sisters sometimes

[14:24]hope could be dangerous when does it become dangerous hope becomes dangerous

[14:31]when I'm betting and only fixated and only invested in this Dunya

[14:38]and what this Dunya has to offer that's when it becomes dangerous

[14:41]that means I'm ignoring Allah and I'm only betting and I'm only

[14:50]hoping in what this life gives and Allah describes the negative consequences

[14:55]of having hope in this Dunya so having hope in God is

[14:58]a good thing but hope in this Dunya could be very dangerous

[15:04]and catastrophic and a distraction for a person Allah says in the

[15:09]Quran talking about the non-believers is a good thing but if the

[15:20]Amal if the hope is in this Dunya it becomes a distraction

[15:23]becomes a distraction we've seen many people it's time for them to

[15:29]go to Hajj what do they say next year inshallah it's time

[15:34]for them to start praying they say next year inshallah it's time

[15:37]for them to change their lives around to get closer to Allah

[15:41]next year I always have hope for next year I have hope

[15:45]for next year and the year after and thereafter what guarantee do

[15:48]I have that Thursday next year what guarantee do I have that

[15:51]there's tomorrow this is why when it comes to Allah when it

[15:59]comes to our relationship with God our relationship should be in a

[16:05]way where um work for this Dunya the zahadis from the Imam

[16:10]work for this Dunya in in this Dunya as if you're going

[16:18]to live forever don't worry I didn't make a Min come tomorrow

[16:20]I'll make it the next day I wasn't able to achieve my

[16:26]materialistic goals this life or in in this month or this year

[16:29]it's okay next year you'll reach it it's not a big deal

[16:36]however for the how should we work Radha but work for the

[16:46]akhara as if you only have a couple hours left in this

[16:48]life as if I only have a couple as if I'm going

[16:53]to die tomorrow if someone they tell them you're going you're going

[17:21]if you didn't make that much this year it's okay it's not

[17:40]we said that's positive hope if you have long hope in this

[17:44]Dunya our actions are going to become weak why because I say

[17:56]are not going to be very genuine we're not going to give

[18:01]it a hundred percent because we believe we have so much longer

[18:05]so that the action becomes weaker when we have longer hope in

[18:11]this Dunya it is said that Haroon Haroon was the Khalifa Haroon

[19:58]the attachment to this Dunya and believing that we're going to live

[20:59]to this Dunya and this hope could be dangerous sometimes now we

[21:05]mentioned earlier hope is a positive thing it's good it gives you

[21:08]the energy it gives you the the energy to work to study

[21:13]to plow to do whatever to form but then having too much

[21:16]false hope in this Dunya could be wrong could be disastrous foreign

[21:41]next year inshallah next year so fast I'm going to do a

[22:35]we have hope that there's a tomorrow so it takes away the

[22:40]akan you start not seeing things clearly second wait and a promise

[22:48]that someone has made even an appointment sometimes there are some people

[22:54]you make an appointment with them for 12 o'clock when do they

[22:58]show up three o'clock they show up two hours later three hours

[23:33]you start not caring for them you start saying yeah I have

[23:43]because at the end of the day there's an expiration date for

[23:48]everyone there's an expiration date for everything we can't just keep hoping

[23:52]to do things we can't keep procrastinating things and we don't do

[23:55]them but that hope it blinds us it makes me keep saying

[24:00]I will do I will do when I will not have that

[24:04]time who knows I get the opportunity foreign and by my honor

[24:28]anyone who has hope in anything other than God what's going to

[24:34]happen to them they're going to be disappointed you bet on anything

[24:39]on anything other than God eventually it's going to disappoint you at

[24:43]the end of the day people in our lives no matter how

[24:50]loving no matter how caring they are either at some point they

[24:52]don't answer us they don't give us what we want or they're

[24:55]unable to at the end of the day everyone has a limit

[25:02]Allah is the only one who should have our hope in and

[25:07]our faith in foreign foreign foreign foreign Muhammad as we are talking

[27:15]about the importance of Hope the most important hope that a person

[27:20]should have in life is obviously hope in Allah faith in God

[27:27]and faith in the words of God and anything that Allah commands

[27:32]of us faith in the Quran faith in the prophets of Allah

[27:39]faith in the imams of the element faith that your Dua is

[27:43]going to be accepted we say meaning oh he who answers I

[27:54]have faith when I do Dua when I ask Allah one of

[27:57]the ways to get your Dua to be answered is that you

[28:01]have to have a hundred percent faith that this God could be

[28:06]answered how many of us do Dua and we have that faith

[28:09]in our mind when you ask Allah for something you have to

[28:14]have a hundred percent faith and confidence that this Dua can be

[28:20]answered whenever Allah wants if God wants it to be answered tomorrow

[28:23]if God wants it to be answered now it will be answered

[28:28]Allah is the one who answers but when we don't have that

[28:34]Faith then our daughter is not answered you have to have faith

[28:36]that your daughter is going to be answered and similarly one of

[28:42]the gates and one of the greatest manifestations of Hope is Sharif

[28:50]the amount of our time who is the greatest manifestation of God's

[28:57]mercy on Earth right now and he is also the greatest manifestation

[29:02]of Hope in Allah believing in the amount of our time we

[29:06]have to have hope we cannot give up we cannot give up

[29:11]on the faith in the Imam if Allah wanted to send the

[31:40]real message meaning that there will come a time where the religion

[31:45]of the truth the religion of rasulullah the religion of Islam it

[31:50]will Encompass all other beliefs all other ideologies has that happened since

[31:56]the time of rasulullah until now has that happened that hasn't happened

[32:03]yet not many people have believed not many people know so this

[32:06]is a promise by God is even if the non-believers despise that

[32:16]don't like that this is this is something that will happen and

[32:22]this will happen on under the hands of the Imam of our

[32:25]time the hope of our time and we have to not let

[32:30]go of that hope despite all of the suffering despite all of

[32:35]the persecution that we are seeing in the world today all suffering

[32:38]and persecution and the Muslims they always look like they're the ones

[32:43]that are getting the bad end of the deal it always looks

[32:47]like that but there will come a time where justice will prevail

[32:51]and that is during the time of the Imam of our time

[32:57]but we my dear brothers and sisters what is our duty our

[33:00]duty is to not give up hope our duty is to not

[33:04]give up Faith this is our most important responsibility right now in

[35:12]that is the eve of the 15th of Shaban that is the

[35:33]do Dua it's very important to do Amal one of the most

[36:20]the 15th of Shaban my dear brothers and sisters just some some

[37:12]a fasting Workshop a workshop that will cover all of the akam

[37:16]all of the rules of fasting travel while fasting spirituality while fasting

[37:21]and we will also have a doctor uh Dr Mahal hussaini will

[37:24]be answering some questions as well regarding health and diet during fasting

[37:30]one last announcement as we prepare for the holy month of Ramadan

[37:36]I don't know if you saw when you're coming in there's a

[37:38]there's a poster with names we because we're going to be holding

[37:45]a program every the month of Ramadan inshallah and these are costly

[37:49]so we've given an opportunity for individuals to sponsor a knight to

[37:54]give a donation whatever it is there's no set amount the recommended

[37:57]number is 250 dollars but whatever it could be given and your

[38:03]name and the marshmeen from your family will mentioned on that particular

[38:09]night and people will recite fatah foreign of your family this is

[38:13]an opportunity if you would like please see uh Dr wusam hamut

[38:16]and see see the brother and inshaallah he will be able to
