[0:20][Music] i begin in the name of the almighty god the compassionate

[0:27]the merciful the one who has created everything in utmost perfection and

[0:34]may the peace and blessings of the almighty god be upon his

[0:39]pure and beloved messenger the peak of his creation the symbol of

[0:48]humanity the holy prophet muhammad and his immaculate progeny of the bait

[0:59]peace be upon them especially the leader of our time the awaited

[1:06]savior may allah hasten his reappearance our imam amongst us sincere and

[1:20]dedicated servants states in the holy quran [Music] illuminate your hearts and

[1:59]minds with a very loud sarawak by far the most significant and

[2:10]important and faithful night out of the entire year is leila the

[2:19]night of destiny the night of power on this night allah subhanahu

[2:26]wa ta'ala will determine your upcoming year will determine the future for

[2:35]you but that is based on how much you open your heart

[2:39]on leila how much you ask allah for mercy for tawfiq and

[2:45]for goodness so significant it's so important allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala dedicates an

[2:54]entire chapter in the holy quran for this night even though it's

[3:01]one of the shortest chapters in the quran but nonetheless singles out

[3:06]this exceptional night allah revealed surat al-qaeda for us to know the

[3:13]significance of such a night [Music] see how allah opens the chapter

[3:23]allah says we have revealed it brought it down allah the king

[3:29]of the universe is using the royal we take this night seriously

[3:34]it has to do with allah it has to do with your

[3:40]creator god has made it blessed it's a gift that allah has

[3:44]given to you and when your lord gives you a gift it

[3:46]is the most important gift you'll ever receive in your life don't

[3:53]underestimate this night this night is from allah subhanahu ta'ala what did

[3:58]allah do on this night and zel nahu we have revealed it

[4:03]notice that the quran does not tell us what the pronoun is

[4:08]it just gives us the pronoun and it's a third person pronoun

[4:17]we have revealed it on leila oh allah what have you revealed

[4:24]allah subhanahu ta'ala doesn't say why does allah subhanahu ta'ala keep it

[4:27]vague like that to demonstrate to you that what is sent on

[4:35]this night is so important it's infinite in its value and that

[4:40]draws your attention to its significance we've revealed it that catches your

[4:45]attention that which has been revealed on this night is extremely significant

[4:51]extremely important but we know this is a reference to the book

[4:55]of allah subhanahu ta'ala to the holy quran the holy quran was

[5:01]revealed only allah subhanahu wa revealed the entire quran with its reality

[5:07]with its existence to the heart of rasulullah on this night allah

[5:15]subhanahu wa ta'ala revealed the quran from al-beitel ma'amur to this world

[5:21]from the world of the heavens the metaphysical world to this world

[5:28]so we can benefit this vehicle is a vehicle that carries the

[5:36]universe this vehicle lands on earth on leila and the idea behind

[5:43]this vehicle is not to stay here on earth for eternity it's

[5:47]to descend to earth so you go on board this vehicle and

[5:53]it takes you back up to allah subhanahu wa ta'ala that's the

[5:57]purpose behind leila so you ascend allah made his quran descend descend

[6:03]this end so you take the quran and ascend to allah subhanahu

[6:08]wa ta'ala it's that beautiful vehicle that takes you back to your

[6:14]lord it is the precious gift that we have today let's examine

[6:18]our lives on this night if you want to really benefit from

[6:21]this night make a commitment with your lord that i will make

[6:27]the quran my best friend i will make the quran the medicine

[6:31]for all my illnesses i will make the holy quran the solution

[6:37]to all of my problems every problem you human being have the

[6:42]solution is in the holy quran the quran is a prescription many

[6:47]of us you know how we deal with this prescription when you

[6:52]go to a doctor and let's say you have an infection the

[6:56]doctor prescribes to you antibiotics you know the doctor will write it

[7:02]on a prescription and gives it to you you know what we

[7:05]do with this prescription we take this prescription we kiss it we

[7:08]put it on our heads and then we put it on the

[7:12]shelf to collect dust that's exactly how we treat the quran isn't

[7:14]this insulting to your doctor if you were to do that you

[7:18]go to the doctor you take the prescription and then you start

[7:21]kissing the prescription but you never go to the pharmacy to take

[7:24]the medication the doctor will tell you why did you come to

[7:28]me if you want to just kiss the prescription and not take

[7:33]it that's not what i'm here for that's insulting to who i

[7:37]am that's insulting to my knowledge we kiss the quran we seek

[7:43]the blessings of the quran but more importantly we implement the quran

[7:46]take the medication of the quran and apply it to you in

[7:53]a beautiful hadith describes quran the people who read the quran they

[8:00]fall into multiple categories the imam says the best of them is

[8:09]look at the beautiful description by the fifth imam alaihissalam it says

[8:15]the best of those who recite the quran are those who take

[8:20]the medicine of quran and they put it on the disease of

[8:24]their hearts the illnesses of the hearts you have physical illnesses and

[8:31]you have spiritual illnesses psychological illnesses moral illnesses the disease of the

[8:39]heart is worse than any other illness the disease of jealousy the

[8:43]disease of arrogance the quran cures that that's the beauty of the

[8:51]book of allah live with the quran breathe the quran talk to

[8:55]the quran it's allah's word you know how they describe the quran

[9:05]the imam says speak to the quran it will speak to you

[9:10]approach the quran appropriately this is what laila talked is all about

[9:15]about this book what kind of a relationship do i have with

[9:20]the quran any situation you go through in your life the quran

[9:26]has a solution for you any state you're in the quran has

[9:30]comforting verses for you if you're in the state of fear the

[9:37]quran tells you you're with allah you're in the party of god

[9:43]don't worry don't fear don't be scared i'll take care of you

[9:49]if you're in the state being concerned that others are going to

[9:54]deceive you others are going to fool you take advantage of you

[10:00]the holy quran has a beautiful verse for you that the the

[10:05]prophet the quran tells rasulullah when those mushrikeen they want allah is

[10:14]sufficient he'll protect you you really are concerned others are going to

[10:18]hurt you take advantage of you submit your case to allah the

[10:23]quran teaches you the road map when you're going through pain one

[10:28]of the most beautiful verses of the quran is the following verse

[10:30]what everyone on earth today has a trial just like you believers

[10:40]have pain and suffering there are non-believers who also go through pain

[10:45]and suffering you don't think they have their share of pain and

[10:47]suffering look at the world they have their share of pain and

[10:50]suffering but see how the quran comforts your heart man you believer

[10:57]the quran says the difference between you and them is that what

[11:02]arjuna mean you are expecting from allah what they don't expect you

[11:09]have jannah before you the rahm of allah before you albeit with

[11:17]you this is the best way to numb your pain go to

[11:19]the quran it really numbs your pain even if you're going through

[11:25]the most difficult pain when you read the quran you see the

[11:28]history that it gives you the lessons that it gives you the

[11:30]promise of allah's mercy that it gives you it truly numbs your

[11:35]pain you will forget your pain it just requires contemplation what's arjuna

[11:41]allah can you compare yourself to an atheist an atheist will tell

[11:46]you this disabled person this miserable person is going to go through

[11:49]pain and suffering and then he or she will die they will

[11:54]become dust and that's it too bad tough luck no compensation no

[12:00]reward nothing you the men you believe in the reward of allah

[12:03]subhanahu ta'ala if i go through pain my lord will take care

[12:07]of me if i go through pain allah elevates me it's free

[12:09]hasanat anytime you go through pain right and you have patience you're

[12:15]just earning free hasanat from allah subhanahu wa see the quran comforts

[12:22]you it gives you that beautiful solution when you're sick read this

[12:26]verse you feel the healing from allah subhanahu wa any state you're

[12:33]in the quran has a beautiful verse for you you've lost hope

[12:37]because of your sins go to the quran the quran inspires you

[12:42]with hope allah [Music] who's speaking here the one who doesn't exaggerate

[12:57]the one who doesn't lie allah subhanahu ta'ala my servants who have

[13:04]wronged themselves you've been excessive with your sins it's okay there's still

[13:10]a chance that you'll be forgiven don't lose hope from the mercy

[13:18]of allah allah will forgive all sins see how the quran is

[13:23]such a beautiful reminder from allah subhanahu wa to allah live with

[13:29]the quran make the quran your best friend it doesn't require much

[13:32]time i invite you all to this simple program every day read

[13:39]the quran for two or three minutes not more two or three

[13:44]minutes we all have two or three minutes read a verse from

[13:48]the quran two or three minutes and then spend three to five

[13:54]minutes reading the tafseer of the verse what is the tafseer of

[14:00]this verse and these days we don't have any excuses you can

[14:02]have you can download an app on your smartphone which has our

[14:08]tafasir in any language that you want you want english it's available

[14:11]you want arabic you want persian you want to do whatever that

[14:13]you want it's available read the tafseer of that verse and then

[14:17]make it a goal to apply what you've learned on that day

[14:21]write the moral of this verse in your notes this is what

[14:26]i learned from this verse share it with your friends share it

[14:29]with your family put reminders for yourself you will see your life

[14:36]changing and ascending my dear brothers and sisters that's the power of

[14:40]the quran that's the beauty of the quran it was revealed on

[14:43]leila and the best month of allah in the month of ramadan

[14:48]you know why we fast in the month of ramadan why not

[14:52]any other month beautifully tells us why we fast in the month

[14:57]of ramadan because of the quran because allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has

[15:02]a gift for you it is in the month of ramadan when

[15:08]you spiritually rise and you control your desires and you step on

[15:13]materialism you can better interact with the word of god that's the

[15:17]best moment for the quran when people are fasting when people have

[15:22]a state of generosity when their humanity is heightened if a professor

[15:29]does research and wants to publish their paper where does a professor

[15:34]publish their paper does a professor go to disney world and publish

[15:38]it there who's going to listen to you at disney world right

[15:41]people are not there to hear any scientific journal or study people

[15:48]are there distracted to have fun you present your paper in an

[15:52]academic conference in a journal allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has a paper

[15:57]for us allah decided to reveal this paper on in the month

[16:05]of ramadan because the month of ramadan is the best venue for

[16:08]the human being to interact with the word of allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala

[16:13]in which night is this the night of god the night of

[16:25]destiny where everything is determined from this year till next year just

[16:29]realize the seriousness of tonight you need the tawfiq of allah to

[16:36]succeed without allah i can't succeed there are millions of factors out

[16:40]there in your society that will determine what's going to happen to

[16:44]you you're unaware of most of them one small change in one

[16:49]factor can change your entire fate can change your entire future if

[16:54]you're driving from here let's say you're going towards ottawa right if

[17:00]you're on the road and you veer off steer off from the

[17:07]road by one centimeter by one degree one degree where will you

[17:12]end up in this dunya if you're off by one degree you

[17:16]don't know where you're going to end up think it's easy to

[17:20]stick to as-salat you need the tawfiq from allah subhanahu ta'ala one

[17:24]small factor can change your entire faith you can't see that but

[17:28]allah can see it here in this world that's what we experience

[17:32]in the materialistic world one small factor if it changes it can

[17:37]have a global effect some of you may be familiar with what

[17:46]is called the butterfly effect theory meteorologists develop this theory because they

[17:51]wanted to see what affects weather and so one famous american neurologist

[17:58]he states the following he says a butterfly in japan flying can

[18:06]affect the weather in new york how just a butterfly what kind

[18:13]of changes can a butterfly make when it flies you don't even

[18:17]feel it the scientist says that butterfly when it's flying in japan

[18:23]it causes a small movement in the layers of the air very

[18:25]small it's not detectable to you but it's there that movement causes

[18:32]the upper layer of the air to move a little bit until

[18:35]you come to the cloud level so it causes a very small

[18:41]change to that particular cloud that cloud is going to travel for

[18:46]thousands of miles until it goes to new york or somewhere else

[18:52]because this butterfly moved it can actually cause this cloud to rain

[18:59]more or less in new york because of the movement of the

[19:04]air that it generated a small butterfly can have a global impact

[19:08]imagine your life millions of factors are acting upon you influencing you

[19:16]you don't see many of these factors but allah says them on

[19:20]this night ask allah guide me oh allah you take my hand

[19:27]to success you give me the best of the best in this

[19:28]following year without you i can't make it humble yourself to feel

[19:36]that we human beings we have a lot of confidence in ourselves

[19:40]you should be self-confident but be self-confident with allah not with your

[19:46]powers without allah i'm nothing nothing we think no as long as

[19:51]i have you know a stable job i have a money i

[19:54]have a social position i can take care of myself honestly sometimes

[19:58]we forget god even exists as a reminder he determines not your

[20:08]job your job does not determine your success your school does not

[20:12]determine your success even though it's important no one determines your success

[20:18]except allah subhanahu ta allah accept this in your heart tonight that's

[20:22]the beauty of lailat al-qaeda my dear brothers and sisters too often

[20:29]in this dunya we burden ourselves we don't have the appropriate outlook

[20:37]on life we feel safe with superficial things and we allow them

[20:44]to define us most people i guarantee you most people who have

[20:49]a stable job tell them if i take your job away from

[20:52]you how would you feel how would you feel if i take

[20:59]your job if i take your job from you you'll start doubting

[21:01]yourself you feel something is missing you might even lose hope you

[21:06]don't even know who you are some people their identity is tied

[21:12]to their job if you take their job they don't even know

[21:14]who they are take an engineer and take his job the average

[21:21]engineer today in our society if you take that profession from him

[21:24]he doesn't even know who is who is he anymore the surgeon

[21:29]take his profession he thinks you took the world from him i

[21:32]don't even know who i am we've tied ourselves and our identities

[21:39]to materialistic things to superficial things but you know what true mean

[21:44]if you take his job the true movement says i'm unaffected so

[21:46]what what changed allah is still there i'm still the servant of

[21:52]god he's still the sustainer i'm still going towards the akhirah who

[21:57]cares big deal is unaffected by that because he doesn't tie his

[22:02]soul to something earthly that burdens him that brings him down yes

[22:07]he appreciates the gift allah has given him today i lost the

[22:13]job big deal allah allah will figure out another way for me

[22:15]to live my career doesn't define who i am if you allow

[22:21]your career to define who you are then you've brought the sniffs

[22:24]which you've brought the sniff to the lowest point then you'll get

[22:35]hurt then your heart will be broken then you'll get depressed some

[22:38]people they define themselves in terms of relationships go to the world

[22:42]of the youth right who's considered the successful guy in high school

[22:47]what do you call high school here high school or secondary school

[22:53]high school secondary school right who's the cool person who's the successful

[22:58]person the one who can get any relationship that he wants right

[23:02]he can get any girl that he wants in the school he

[23:05]is successful he's powerful he's the cool guy everybody looks up to

[23:09]him in school that's how it is in our society and then

[23:13]when this relationship is broken you see the person is dysfunctional when

[23:18]our relationship doesn't work we become dysfunctional why because you put your

[23:22]whole soul and existence into that relationship wrong tells you think in

[23:29]a different way have a good relationship but don't tie your identity

[23:35]and your heart and your soul and your nest to this relationship

[23:39]because you will get hurt the dunya will hurt you it deceives

[23:47]you and then it hurts you it stings you that's the beauty

[23:51]of leila deal with allah subhanahu wa ta'ala don't seek the validation

[23:56]of people around you their validation is irrelevant you just need the

[24:01]validation of your lord the validation of the king of the universe

[24:05]and allah will never hurt you allah will never betray you allah

[24:12]will never put you down.

[24:14]this is the night the night of destiny do you know the

[24:21]greatness of this night you cannot fully grasp the greatness of this

[24:25]night [Music] this night is better than eighty years than one thousand

[24:35]months look at the gift allah has given you and some people

[24:37]say where is the rahm of allah allah saying one night ten

[24:43]hours is equivalent to more than eighty years some companions came to

[24:48]rasulullah they told him we've heard about some worshipers from bani israel

[24:52]you've told us about their stories one worshiper worshiped allah 60 years

[24:57]another one 70 years another one 80 years we don't have these

[25:04]long lives to worship allah that long so we feel sad we

[25:08]don't have this opportunity allah subhanahu ta'ala revealed to him this verse

[25:14]the prophet gave good news to his ummah allah has given you

[25:20]a night no other ummah this night this night is the special

[25:23]gift of ummat muhammad that the worship of one night is equivalent

[25:34]to more than it's not equivalent to 80 years it's more than

[25:38]80 years look at the gift that allah has given you he

[25:43]wants you to succeed he wants you to take advantage of these

[25:48]beautiful nights that's the rahmah of allah what else happens on this

[25:53]night all the angels of god and allah has created billions and

[26:03]trillions of angels on this night they descend to the planet bringing

[26:09]the barakah of allah subhanahu wa to allah and bringing to us

[26:14]our faith our destiny which we have a role in determining and

[26:19]creating the angels come and who else comes who's the rooh some

[26:25]have said but the imam al-islam when he was asked he said

[26:30]no because allah already mentioned them and jubra is a melek he's

[26:35]an angel he's included in the mara the is a creation of

[26:40]allah greater than all of the angels the is that power that

[26:46]allah has created to guide the believers and to aid his prophets

[26:49]and imams and to give them the power of infallibility it's one

[26:55]of the greatest creations we have aided him prophet isa with this

[27:04]spirit that's the comes down a layla comes to earth imagine the

[27:11]barakah if you were just to see what's happening on this night

[27:16]you'd be in ah you take advantage of every minute of this

[27:19]night you'd open your heart you'd cry till the entire till the

[27:23]morning the entire night out of humbleness and being in awe at

[27:26]the creation of allah subhanahu wa ta'ala gives use pure spirituality you

[27:34]know these days what people are looking for these days even atheists

[27:38]they're looking for spirituality and they are inventing ways to get this

[27:44]spirituality today you'll find books how can you be spiritual without god

[27:50]that's a title of a book can you can you believe that

[27:56]how can you be spiritual without god without religion subhanallah look at

[28:02]what shaytan does to us right we have this need to be

[28:07]spiritual we recognize it shaytan says yeah you can be spiritual just

[28:09]put god out of the equation you don't need god for spirituality

[28:13]and there are today muslims who are falling into this trap instead

[28:17]of taking advantage of the spirituality that islam offers you they are

[28:22]resorting to all these alternatives today i see some youth believe me

[28:28]one salah he doesn't pray one monarch of imam zayn and abedin

[28:33]he doesn't bother to read and then he's going to yoga classes

[28:35]i tell him habibi what are you doing in yoga classes do

[28:37]you have back pain right if you have back pain you know

[28:43]they say the child poses good for your back it's okay some

[28:46]doctors recommend it why are you going to this class say it

[28:49]i want to be spiritual ajib spiritual and who told you this

[28:55]is going to give you spirituality who told you these acts are

[28:59]going to make you spiritual and bring you closer to allah subhanahu

[29:04]wa and then they go they do all these poses right which

[29:07]are historically done for the idols if you look at some of

[29:12]these yoga positions that the buddhists and the hindus would practice they

[29:16]would dedicate these positions to their idols and then they've got that

[29:19]music going on and then masha'allah you've seen some of these you

[29:22]know yoga sessions shaytlan's very active with the clothing too right the

[29:26]clothing has to be very super tight there's men and women masha

[29:31]allah for that spirituality tells me i'm going there to get spiritual

[29:35]where is imam saying abedin and his where's your salah where's the

[29:44]zikr you think you're going to get spiritual by not going through

[29:47]the path of adh anything you human being need for spirituality and

[29:51]it they taught you anything that you need don't think you'll ever

[29:58]receive an ounce of spirituality outside of qur'an that is a superficial

[30:04]understanding of the world that's just a mirage to deceive you many

[30:08]of us are falling into this trap and we're replacing religion with

[30:14]all these alternatives many of you the younger generation you're familiar with

[30:20]manifestation right this whole thing manifestation on social media through the power

[30:25]of attraction just want anything and you'll get it somehow the universe

[30:29]is gonna work for you one one brother was really believing in

[30:33]this i told them habibi who's this universe that's gonna do wonders

[30:38]for you can you tell me who's this universe is it saturn

[30:40]is it mars is it milky way who who is this universe

[30:45]can i know this universe that you're talking about don't believe in

[30:48]god but yeah believe in this power of attraction it's going to

[30:50]do wonders for you and then subhanallah they come up with these

[30:55]new methods something called scripting write it three times and six times

[30:59]the nine times and you'll get what you want everything we have

[31:03]in religion they copy it then they tell you to kick religion

[31:09]out from your life subhanallah in our school of thought it's mustahab

[31:13]to write your dua it's musta have to write a letter to

[31:18]the imam of your time called they take all of that and

[31:21]they deceive the youth and they tell them just wish for something

[31:24]write it i don't know 30 times 40 times you'll get it

[31:28]you want spirituality take spirituality from the beautiful religion of islam don't

[31:34]think these new types of meditation are going to give you spirituality

[31:38]there was this brother he was really into meditation he'd sit there

[31:42]for an hour sitting like that you know there's a special way

[31:47]that they sit right which rasulullah didn't do and didn't do yeah

[31:51]okay so what are you doing i'm meditating okay what are you

[31:54]thinking about he told me sad the beauty of meditation is that

[32:00]i don't think about anything i told them so you're sitting there

[32:07]for a full hour doing nothing right subhan allah what has the

[32:12]human being reached you sit an hour doing nothing yeah say it

[32:16]islam tells us to meditate habibi islam tells you to meditate with

[32:18]purpose you sit there an hour you reflect about allah the beauty

[32:23]of the creation of allah that's purposeful meditation not sitting there doing

[32:31]nothing which prophet told you sit for an hour and think of

[32:34]nothing where are you getting these ideas from but we're being deceived

[32:38]by this trend and we think it's cool and i'm really being

[32:44]spiritual you want spirituality go to the power of sujood you know

[32:47]what allah has put in your sajdud the sujud that we underestimate

[32:51]go five minutes into sujud with calmness and peace forget about the

[32:59]world and the distractions of the world only do equality sujud my

[33:04]dear brothers and sisters equality so jude will change your life take

[33:08]a deep breath subhanallah that your chest becomes tight your heart becomes

[33:22]depressed because of what people say to you and they bother you

[33:26]and they harass you so what's the prescription quran what do i

[33:29]do in those moments people are bothering me i'm depressed the quran

[33:34]tells you glorify allah glorify the names of allah see the beauty

[33:43]of your lord in sujud with a deep breath that's awesome spirituality

[33:50]no one can give you spirituality like that one of the servants

[33:54]of ali imam zayn al-abadin alayhi he says i saw my master

[33:59]going to the desert he disappeared i followed him i saw him

[34:04]in the state of sujud crying i got close to hear what

[34:09]al-imam zayn al-abidin would say i heard him say la ilaha la

[34:17]ilaha said this one thousand times try one day not a thousand

[34:35]times i know we don't have the patience for that say it

[34:39]20 times 30 times see how it inspires you the sujud itself

[34:43]is a miracle even doctors have examined the sujud the science behind

[34:49]sujud is amazing the sujud the prostration is the only natural position

[34:55]where your head brain is lower than your heart you know what

[35:01]that does to the brain it pumps blood to the brain faster

[35:05]with more pressure and so it applies pressure on your forehead on

[35:10]your frontal lobe you know the prefrontal cortex that's where you do

[35:15]thinking that's where you experience a lot of emotions the sujud massages

[35:20]that part of the brain for you you feel better psychologically there

[35:24]is even science behind that this is the gift of spirituality that

[35:28]allah has given you're in the state of fear you want to

[35:39]show thankful to allah thankfulness to allah you are in love find

[35:47]the love from allah the mutual love that allah gives you no

[35:51]one can give you allah states in the holy quran just study

[35:58]this verse on such a night brothers and sisters as you finish

[36:02]the group you have some time by yourself just reflect on this

[36:07]verse reflect on this verse your lord is saying remember me i'll

[36:12]remember you and when allah remembers you what happens when your lord

[36:18]remembers you can you imagine the wonders the power and the remembrance

[36:22]of allah subhanahu wa ta'ala this quran my dear brothers and sisters

[36:26]is about you it's not about others it's not about other creations

[36:33]it's about your own self to discover your nafs and zelna kitab

[36:41]we have revealed the quran your remembrance is in it this book

[36:47]is for you benefit from it you'll learn about yourself from the

[36:50]quran you'll learn how to deal with yourself through the holy quran

[36:58]that's the gift of this holy quran it gives you that amazing

[37:00]spirituality no one out there in the world can replace it tennessee

[37:11]they descend they descend they come to earth what do the angels

[37:16]do on such a night what do the angels do at the

[37:21]time of rasulullah they would descend on the hajja of god on

[39:32]oh allah through him remove the grudges the negative energy the anger

[39:38]from our hearts anything we want allah subhanahu ta'ala has willed it

[39:44]in our imam he can give that to us on this night

[39:50]beg allah to hasten the reappearance of our imam you know who

[40:02]said this came a century before the mahdi and yet he taught

[40:08]his followers when he goes into occultation increase your dua day and

[40:14]night for allah to hasten his reappearance to hasten the relief because

[40:18]in the relief of the mahdi is your relief and the reappearance

[40:23]of the mahdi is the solution to all of your problems feel

[40:28]that in your heart brothers and sisters a we have shackles around

[40:47]us oh allah open those shackles remove them through the imam of

[40:51]my time that is the best dua you make on this night

[40:55]what else do we pray for number two pray for your parents

[41:00]if they're alive make a special dua and prayer for them if

[41:03]they have passed away make a special gift for them on such

[41:08]a night allah multiplies it by more than one thousand months pray

[41:11]for your parents then your immediate family then your community how often

[41:19]do we pray for our community you know we're very selfish with

[41:24]our duas very selfish i ask allah for my wealth for my

[41:30]health for my family for my business for my job for my

[41:31]children do i pray for my community allah strengthen my community make

[41:37]my community a beautiful place strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood

[41:42]in my community do we make that this is the third dua

[41:48]that you make make a dua for your community the community that

[41:51]we have is one of the best gifts that allah subhanahu ta'ala

[41:54]has given us and we as believers on such a night we

[41:59]have to make a commitment to be strong in keeping our community

[42:08]and our community centers one of the best gifts allah has given

[42:12]you is these community centers my dear brothers and sisters many of

[42:16]us were guests i come here when there's a program salam hajiflan

[42:20]hadja flana let's benefit from the program which is great i'm gone

[42:27]the house no one is a guest in the house of allah

[42:33]that god the house of allah is your home just like i

[42:37]have a program in my house and i invite you it could

[42:42]be a cry eulogy session fatah whatever it is you all feel

[42:47]obligated to come to my house this is the house of allah

[42:52]feel the sense of responsibility you know how much baraka allah puts

[42:55]in these places [Music] where believers gather they remember allah and they

[43:11]remember our teachings cherish these institutions volunteer be active here at this

[43:20]institution everyone is welcome to come and volunteer what is the background

[43:26]that you have what is the skill that you have there are

[43:28]committees here come and ask go on the website you'll see that

[43:34]the committees are introduced there you can see what kind of skill

[43:40]set you can bring that's how you give it's good for you

[43:43]before it's good for the community studies have shown people who volunteer

[43:46]people who are active they're happier in life they're more successful in

[43:51]life and their mental health is better today the biggest killer of

[43:57]our youth is mental health look at the statistics the biggest factor

[44:03]why teenagers and those in their 20s and 30s die is not

[44:07]because of heart disease it's not because of illness it's because of

[44:12]anxiety depression and suicide one of the best ways to protect your

[44:16]children and your families from that is to get them involved don't

[44:21]just say i'm coming just attend that's great may allah bless you

[44:25]for attending be involved teach your son baba what can you do

[44:29]in this community center go and see if you can volunteer go

[44:33]and see if you can make your own committee you have a

[44:36]skill set go and speak to the organizers the executive committee tell

[44:39]them i have this vision i want to start this committee with

[44:43]my youth ahlan wasallam you're welcome to do that that's the best

[44:48]way to keep our families busy with productive programs because if our

[44:54]children are not involved in productive spiritual programs what are they going

[44:59]to be involved in what's going to keep them busy what's going

[45:03]what else is going to keep them busy that is the best

[45:08]way my dear brothers and sisters to start the new qadhar year

[45:11]after this night if you want your children to be happy teach

[45:17]them how to give this legacy build a legacy your job is

[45:22]not your legacy your house your money your car is is not

[45:25]your legacy that all goes that doesn't guarantee happiness and spirituality it's

[45:33]giving contributing volunteering that is what builds a community and that is

[45:40]what keeps your legacy alive and allah puts barakah in your life

[45:44]on this night let's make that commitment make this dua my dear

[45:47]brothers and sisters the next dua the fourth day that you make

[45:51]o allah make me a source of barakah where i guide others

[45:56]and benefit others one of the duas of the month of ramadan

[45:58]was [Music] use me for your religion to guide others and don't

[46:09]replace me because allah doesn't need you you think allah needs me

[46:14]he needs you allah doesn't need us allah has his own system

[46:32]honor when you are a source of help for other people that

[47:30]that person had a hajja he helped him fulfill the hajj he

[47:34]told him tomorrow i'll call this person it will be solved don't

[47:38]worry he smiled in his face he didn't tell him why do

[47:41]you come to my house at 12 30.

[47:43]he smiled in his face but he said to himself you don't

[47:51]have a day you don't have a night you didn't keep anything

[47:55]for yourself even at 12 midnight people come to your house what

[47:59]have you done he just said this to himself he went he

[48:03]promised the guy to help him he was very very courteous with

[48:06]him he went back to sleep after he went back to sleep

[48:12]he says i saw the imam of my time he told me

[48:16]ahmed these people that we send to your door are our gifts

[48:18]to you we have sent them to you if you don't like

[48:22]it tell us we won't send them anymore it's a gift from

[48:27]allah if someone comes and tells you i'm depressed help me i

[48:29]have a family problem help me i need a loan help me

[48:32]it's a gift from allah when these people come to you allah

[48:37]is sending them to your door if you don't want that fine

[48:40]say oh allah i don't want that it's your loss it's my

[48:45]loss allah will find another way to help this person but have

[48:48]the honor of you being the source of barakah as surat maryam

[48:52]states wherever i go allah mubarak make me a source of blessing

[49:01]even if i get tired it's okay allah will compensate you you're

[49:04]building a legacy you're leaving a legacy that's what we ask for

[49:08]my dear brothers and sisters these are the best duas that you

[50:21]to do that that really disturbed me so one day i went

[50:26]to him i told him come on stop this this is bothering

[50:28]me it's annoying me he'd ignore me i kept telling him please

[50:33]change your lifestyle what kind of lifestyle are you doing bringing you

[50:38]know this negative party to our neighborhood he said he wouldn't listen

[50:44]to me until the time for hajj came says i decided to

[50:48]go to the hajj he says my friend came to me he

[50:51]told me you're going to the hajj so you're going to meet

[50:56]your imam which imam al-imam i told him yes i'm going to

[51:02]meet my imam he says give him my salaam and tell him

[51:04]to pray for me i want to get out of this lifestyle

[51:10]i'm stuck tell him to pray for me abu bashir says i

[51:16]went i met al-imam in medina i told him about my friend

[51:20]he wants to repent he wants to stop he says salaam to

[51:24]you the imam says tell your friend stop what you're doing all

[51:30]the haram money you've made get rid of it i guarantee paradise

[51:43]that he will go to heaven abu basir goes back to kufa

[51:47]he says people came to visit me after the hajj and my

[51:52]neighbor came i told him stay i want to privately see you

[51:54]i told him i went and this is what my imam says

[51:58]he send the salaam to you and he says get out of

[52:04]this negative lifestyle i guarantee paradise for you he says he began

[52:07]to cry he says really jaffa bin muhammad said that he returned

[52:11]my salam he gave me hope he guarantees paradise for me he

[52:16]said yes that's what imam that's what my imam said he said

[52:21]he left a few days later i went to visit him i

[52:24]knocked on the door he says no don't enter i want to

[52:29]tell you something i have given all my belongings that i made

[52:33]from haram money even my garment i don't have something to clothe

[52:40]me right now so i can't open the door look at this

[52:43]commitment look at the sacrifice he says i felt really bad for

[52:47]him so i went to my friends we you know raised some

[52:49]funds to buy him some clothes he says a few days later

[52:54]he got sick i went to visit him the illness progressed it

[52:58]was the last day of his life he was dying says he

[53:02]was dying i saw him dying and the last thing that he

[53:08]said before he closed his eyes and he died he told me

[53:10]your friend was true to his promise he did guarantee paradise for

[53:17]me he said that and he died abu bashir says later i

[53:21]went i visited an imam assad he says before i enter the

[53:26]room one leg is inside one leg is outside before i enter

[53:28]the imam told me we have fulfilled our promise we guaranteed him

[53:40]paradise that's the imam of your time he's compassionate he accepts you

[53:44]no matter who you are what you've done change he accepts you

[53:47]and tonight is the night of change tonight is the night of

[53:53]change we ask allah by the baraka of eight on this night

[53:56]to forgive us especially through the door of abi abdullah al-hussein one
