[0:00]so as a story from one of our who passed away a

[0:07]few years ago said who he heard from one of our Maharaja

[0:11]Ayatollah so the story is I give you usually yes are well

[0:55]but when I visited him I saw him in a very terrible

[0:59]state so I sat next to him he said bring me Quran

[1:01]so I bought him Quran he looked at me and says I

[1:08]swear by Allah in the class that we are studying in hausa

[1:11]for example Loma the famous book of of and others who is

[1:19]more smarter me or you say equal by God he said you

[1:23]he said in the other class who is answering questions me or

[1:29]you said you he said then why you became merger and I

[1:32]didn't um wanted to say something all of a sudden he said

[1:39]I was shocked he what did he do he took out the

[1:44]spit and he spit it on the Quran that particular scholar and

[1:51]said why is God doing this to me he said and he

[1:56]died in the state he said to the extent that I left

[1:59]deliberately home not to attend his janaza because I saw something which

[2:05]is tantamount I can't say Allah he says this individual did this

[2:18]why because of envy Hassan eats away Iman just like the fire

[2:30]eats away the wood yes it destroys it this envy that sometimes

[2:33]we see in society when we see people having that which we

[2:36]don't have the other is successful that we may not be yes

[2:41]by the way you are surprised now and you say oh but

[2:45]ulama and so on it can get to the heart of any

[2:49]human being it can get to any individual who has not got

[2:51]faring and it could bring them down they can destroy the Dunya

[2:57]and yes in that recognition we must be very careful because what

[3:01]happens it starts with thoughts in our minds then it starts by

[3:05]us saying certain things about others hasat is when we wish that

[3:11]the name is taken away from someone and given to us that's

[3:15]what hazard is yes envious and the idea that exists is it

[3:21]creeps into our hearts very very slowly what we have to do

[3:24]is train ourselves to always look at saying things that are given

[3:31]to People by Allah as a potential examine test yes Allah says

[3:36]that when I am giving you things you think that it's for

[3:44]pleasure it is also a means of test Imam says Ya Allah

[3:45]I don't know when I'm more grateful to you when I am

[3:50]in pain or when I am at ease yes because these things

[3:56]that we are given are a matter of examination and a matter

[3:59]of accountability to Allah so we must turn to him and be

[4:05]grateful now when I look at somebody who has something I don't

[4:08]have definitely there is wisdom in me not having it and Allah

[4:12]doesn't want to give me because he knows that I will not

[4:16]be able to withstand it so why do I then become envious

[4:18]why do I want not want them to have that success and

[4:22]to have that commodity or to have that lifestyle that I'm not

[4:27]having what's he got to do with me it says is for

[4:33]those who is so busy with their faults and they don't look

[4:38]at other people they're not busy with analyzing and dissecting the lives

[4:44]of other human beings
