[4:38]my condolences to you all on the tragedy of the martyrdom of

[4:45]abadilah al hussain alaihi salam a tragedy that shook the world a

[4:54]tragedy that made rasulullah cry a tragedy that made cry a tragedy

[5:07]that makes the imam of our time cry for everyday where he

[5:13]says he says oh my grandfather oh abba abdullah if i was

[5:42]not able to physically support you and be there for you i

[5:47]cry for you day and night i cry so much that my

[5:58]eyes begin to bleed from crying for you imam he says the

[6:27]day of hussein has broken our hearts the day of hussein has

[6:32]made us bleed from crying so upon hussein everyone shall cry because

[6:51]we're crying for hussein will demolish the greater sins at the dawn

[6:59]of the tenth day of muharram in the year sixty one after

[7:05]hijra imam al hussain led his followers for the morning prayer then

[7:12]he wore his grandfather's armor and turban and put on his father's

[7:19]sword then he stood to address his followers starting with the praise

[7:26]of allah he says subhanahu wa ta'ala has destined that you and

[7:47]i shall be killed today i therefore would urge you to be

[7:53]strong and resilient in fighting then imam al hussein began preparing for

[7:59]war and mobilized his band for war to be seven members he

[8:06]made zuhayr ibn al qayn the commander of the right flank habib

[8:11]ibn amudahir the commander of the left flank and his household in

[8:16]the center imam al hussain then gave the flag to his brother

[8:22]al abbas the troops gathered in the in front of the tents

[8:28]where the women and the children were housed on the other side

[8:33]omar ibn saad the commander of the enemy's army came with 30,000

[8:39]troops he made amr ibn al hajjaj the commander of the right

[8:45]flank and shimr ibn al jawshan the commander of the left flank

[8:50]when imam al hussain saw their gathering which was like the ocean

[8:56]he raised his hands to the sky and said oh my lord

[9:15]you are my haven in every mishap my hope in every predicament

[9:21]my refuge and defender in every ordeal how many a distress that

[9:27]weakens the heart makes the enemy rejoice at the misfortune when i

[9:33]have entrusted it into you and resorted to you out of preference

[9:38]over others he mounted his horse and stood in front of them

[9:46]ready to speak he began by saying oh people track back my

[9:53]lineage to see who i am then look back and think to

[9:57]yourselves think about whether it is right for you to kill me

[10:02]and violate my integrity am i not the son of your prophet's

[10:07]daughter am i not the son of your prophet's successor was not

[10:13]hamzah the master of martyrs my father's uncle was not jafar my

[10:19]uncle have you not heard the prophet's words concerning my brother and

[10:26]i hassan and hussein are the masters of the youth of paradise

[10:32]whether you believe in what i say or not even though it

[10:36]is the truth there are men among you that if you ask

[10:41]them they will tell you i speak the truth ask messenger of

[10:56]allah in favor of my brother and i submit to the authority

[11:03]of your kinsmen they have never treated you badly imam al hussain

[11:11]replied by god i will never give you my hand like a

[11:16]humiliated man nor will i flee like a slave then imam al

[11:31]hussain raised his hand towards the sky and said oh allah give

[11:55]them no rain afflict them with barren years like the years of

[12:00]yusuf and make them slaves to the man of the kief meaning

[12:08]for they have labeled us as liars and have let us down

[12:13]you are our lord we rely on you and to you we

[12:17]return he then began to plead for help and rescue when al

[12:24]hur ibn yazid al riyahi heard his plea for help he went

[12:30]to omar ibn saad and asked him are you really going to

[12:35]fight this man umar replied yes by the almighty the kind of

[12:40]fighting in which heads will fall and arms will be cut off

[12:46]al khur said are you not satisfied with what he has proposed

[12:51]to you omar replied if it was up to me i would

[12:55]accept his proposal but your master of has his orders al kharden

[13:03]stood in the middle of the battlefield gradually gradually drawing near to

[13:08]the camp of imam al hussain one of his companions asked him

[13:14]what he is doing al hur says i am making a decision

[13:19]between paradise and hellfire and by allah i choose nothing over paradise

[13:26]even if it means death then al hur directed his horse towards

[13:32]the camp of imam al hussain he approached the imam and he

[13:38]began to say as soon as he reached the imam the imam

[13:52]asked him who he was al khur said i am the one

[13:56]who brought you to this and prevented you from returning to where

[14:00]you came from imam al hussain says are you hur hur says

[14:06]yes my master do you think allah will accept my repentance imam

[14:13]al hussain said if you repent allah will forgive you umar ibn

[14:20]saad drew near to the camp of imam al hussain and ordered

[14:25]the bearer of the flag to move forward he then took an

[14:29]arrow placed it in his arch and released it in the direction

[14:35]of imam's camp and said bear witness for me with the amir

[14:40]that i was the first to shoot then arrows the arrows then

[14:45]followed like rain causing injuries among the companions of imam al hussain

[14:52]imam al hussain tells his companions my companions rise to certain death

[15:10]may allah have mercy on you the arrows of the enemies are

[15:15]the messengers of the enemies to you the companions waged the battle

[15:21]and fought for an hour or so when the dust settled there

[15:26]were 50 of the companions of imam al hussain that had been

[15:30]killed when imam al hussain saw this he began to say because

[16:19]he they made him one of the trinity and on the people

[16:24]who were unanimous in the agreement to kill the son of their

[16:28]prophet's daughter by allah i'm not giving to them i'm not giving

[16:34]up to them until i meet allah drenched in my blood then

[16:39]he called out there no one who will come to our rescue

[16:59]is there no one to protect the sanctity of the prophet's family

[17:05]when the woman heard his plea they began to cry one by

[17:11]one the companions of imam al hussein asked for permission to enter

[17:17]the battlefield to fight the enemy bidding him farewell al kharkivni azid

[17:25]al riyahi attacked the enemy troops killing over 40 of them when

[17:32]his horse got wounded he fought them on foot until he fell

[17:37]to the ground imam al hussein rushed to him removed the blood

[17:43]and sand from his face congratulations ohar imam al hussain told him

[17:50]you're a free man just like your mother named you then islam

[17:56]the servant of imam al hussain was next he fought very bravely

[18:02]when he was badly wounded he called on the imam for help

[18:07]imam al hussain came to him and hugged him for the last

[18:11]time islam smiled thanked allah for granting him the martyrdom thanked allah

[18:19]for granting him martyrdom and passed away muslim ibn a'uzaja assaulted the

[18:26]enemy and fought very bravely amr ibn al hajjaj along with his

[18:32]troops counter attacked the camp of imam al hussain when the two

[18:37]forces clashed and the dust settled muslim ibn al sajjat was found

[18:43]fallen but still alive imam al hussein and habib ibn amullah rushed

[18:49]to him imam said to him may allah have mercy on you

[18:54]oh muslim habib said i am very sorry to see you in

[18:59]this state you are entering paradise muslim if i wasn't absolutely sure

[19:07]that i will follow your footsteps i would have asked you to

[19:11]give me your last will muslim said yes my last will for

[19:17]you oh habib is to care of this man pointing to imam

[19:22]al hussain i want you to sacrifice the last breath you have

[19:27]for for imam al hussain habib told him rest assured that i

[19:32]will oh muslim among those who remained alive at this stage was

[19:39]wahabl kal who came to karbala with his mother and wife his

[19:45]mother urged him to do his best in the battlefield his wife

[19:50]did not want him to go they were newly weds never the

[19:54]less he entered the battlefield killing some and wounding others he came

[20:01]back at the sound of his wife he asked her what she

[20:05]wanted she tells him oh wahab fight until the last minute don't

[20:19]return alive to me wahab tells her that's strange you did not

[20:24]want me to fight just a few moments ago and now you

[20:29]are urging me to fight his wife tells him oh wahab don't

[20:34]blame me i can't help it i heard hussein standing by his

[20:40]hand calling troops he lost both his arms and was killed his

[21:21]wife walked towards his body and sat near his head wiping away

[21:27]the blood and saying congratulations for you are guaranteed a place in

[21:33]heaven i pray to the almighty to bestow upon me to make

[21:39]me join you shimr who was around dispatched one of his servants

[21:46]and he killed her he dealt a fatal blow to her head

[21:50]with a truncheon and she died immediately she was among the first

[21:56]of the ladies to be killed on the day of a'shurah after

[22:03]praying the noon prayer joan the servants of abu darun approached imam

[22:09]al hussain he asked the imam for permission to fight imam told

[22:14]him that he does not need to fight and that he can

[22:18]leave the battle john began to cry he told the imam at

[22:24]the times of comfort i was with you but at the times

[22:28]of hardship i abandon you never i will fight with you until

[22:34]my blood mixes with your blood joan entered and fought very bravely

[22:41]until he fell and called for the imam imam hussein wept over

[22:47]him and then he put his cheeks on the cheeks of john

[22:52]a gesture of love and honor this was the very same act

[22:57]that imam al hussain displayed with his son ali al akbar once

[23:04]all of the companions had passed away the family of imam hussain

[23:09]got ready for battle the first to come forward was ali al

[23:14]akbar imam hussain's oldest son he was 27 years old when ali

[23:21]asked for permission from his father imam hussain could not hold back

[23:27]his tears he looked on and said bereave me of mine may

[23:55]allah send someone to kill you in your bed then he looked

[24:00]to the sky and said oh allah bear witness on this people

[24:05]the most similar youth to the prophet has come out to meet

[24:10]them oh lord deprive them from the riches of the land divide

[24:15]them and bring your wrath upon them entered entered into the battle

[24:22]and he began to recite the epic due to the immense thirst

[24:46]he felt and the pain from the scorching sun he came back

[24:51]to his camp asking his father for water imam al hussein told

[24:57]him that he did not have water with him and he told

[25:01]them rest assured that rasulullah will be the first to quench his

[25:05]thirst ali went back fighting with greater fears it was as if

[25:11]his grandfather imam ali was in the battlefield finally a wicked man

[25:20]approached ali al akbar and he stabbed them with a spear in

[25:25]the back causing him to fall from the horse out towards the

[25:31]horse his horse not being able to see due to the blood

[25:35]covering his eyes dragged ali al akbar to the enemy's camp the

[25:41]enemy troops began to cut his limbs into pieces ali al akbar

[25:47]cried out oh abadilah farewell here is my grandfather from whose come

[26:15]whose cup i have drunk never again i will be thirsty he

[26:20]said that there will be a cup waiting for you imam al

[26:24]hussein rushed to ali al akbar seeing what is remaining of his

[26:28]son he put his cheeks on the cheeks of ali al akbar

[26:33]and he began to cry he said oh ali life is not

[26:42]worth living after you life is not worth living anymore after you

[27:05]my son how dare they encroached on allah and violate the sanctity

[27:12]ir and we careful with pure blood and threw it in the

[27:27]sky with not a single drop fell to the ground imam al

[27:32]hussain tried to carry ali al akbar back to the camp but

[27:37]ali al akbar was cut into pieces so he called the man

[27:43]of bani hashem he tells them come and carry your brother ali

[28:12]the turn now was for the 14 year old qasim the son

[28:17]of imam al hassan imam hussain first refused to give him permission

[28:24]since qasim was the only memory remaining of his brother al hassan

[28:30]qasim brought a letter to imam al hussain which was from imam

[28:35]al hassan urging him to allow his son to fight imam al

[28:40]hussain he hugged qasem and wept emotionally and then allowed him to

[28:46]go in and fight ima al qasim entered the battlefield and he

[28:52]began to cry out and call out he fought very bravely until

[29:15]his sandal snapped as he bent down to fix it imran ibn

[29:20]saad al asi he hit him with his sword on his head

[29:26]imam al hussein rushed him crying over his body saying in a

[29:31]sad voice it is with great regret that i'm helpless you called

[29:56]but i can't respond or when i respond i can't help qasem

[30:02]was brought back to the tents they put him next to the

[30:06]body of ali al akbar and the other youth of bani hashem

[30:12]imam al hussein did a dua against the enemies he says oh

[30:35]lord do not lose count of them and do not forgive them

[30:40]oh cousins for here in adversity be patient in difficulty you shall

[30:47]never see disgrace after today when abbas saw the death toll rising

[30:54]he stood up and ordered his brothers abdullah uthman and jafar to

[30:59]enter the battlefield and fight by one by one one by one

[31:06]his brothers fought and were killed it was now time for al

[31:11]abbas himself to enter the battlefield he came to his brother imam

[31:17]al hussain seeking permission to go and fight imam hussain did not

[31:22]want to lose abbas tears filled the eyes of imam al hussein

[31:28]oh my dear brother you are the bearer of my flag if

[31:34]you die my entire army will collapse al abbas replied i am

[31:52]tired of these hypocrites i can't stand and the sounds of the

[31:57]children crying out of thirst their sounds of the thirst the thirst

[32:02]is killing me i want to seek my revenge when imam al

[32:07]hussain saw that abel futlil abbas was adamant he tells him if

[32:13]you have to go then go and bring some water for these

[32:18]children al abbas immediately mounted his horse he took the skin water

[32:25]container and headed towards the river cutting through the enemy lines he

[32:32]was surrounded by some 4,000 troops who shot at him with their

[32:37]arrows but he did not fear their multitudes the standard hoisted over

[32:44]his head he started attacking them causing them to flee in front

[32:49]of him he began to say allahabad managed to enter into the

[33:08]euphrates as soon as he reached the river he grabbed a handful

[33:13]of water to drink but at that moment he remembered the thirst

[33:18]of abadilah he dropped the water immediately he couldn't drink while imam

[33:26]al hussein and the children of imam al hussein were thirsty he

[33:32]began to speak to himself felt he filled the water skin the

[34:03]water canteen canteen with water he mounted his horse and he headed

[34:09]towards the camp all of a sudden the enemy troops surrounded him

[34:14]from every direction they attacked him altogether zayd ibn raghad and hakim

[34:21]ibn nurtufail were hiding behind the tree waiting for abbas approach as

[34:29]abbas passed by zayd ibn raghat struck abanfad on his right my

[35:01]dear brothers and sisters in the middle of the battle his hands

[35:05]are cut he says my god i shall forever defend my faith

[35:11]let us take lessons from aban fadlil adbas he grabbed the container

[35:17]in his left arm until hakim ibn nothal failed he came out

[35:22]and hit him on his left arm cutting it he called out

[35:44]he managed to grab the water skin with his teeth staying without

[35:49]his two arms he headed towards the camp he has one goal

[35:54]that is to deliver the water to the children of ababdin allah

[36:00]but the enemies did not give him a chance they began to

[36:04]rain his body with arrows one falling in his eye another fell

[36:11]the fell another fell in the canteen of water causing all of

[36:17]the water to spill another arrow pierced through the chest of abel

[36:22]and fell was hopeless when the container fell abbas lost all hope

[36:31]and stopped going towards the camp instead he stood in his farts

[36:36]all of a sudden one of the wicked troops hit him with

[36:41]a pull on his head causing abbas to fall on the ground

[37:04]my brother abadilah may the peace of allah be upon you i

[37:10]have fallen to the ground when a horseman falls from the horse

[37:18]he uses his hands to break the fall but al abbas had

[37:23]no hands to protect himself all of the spears and the daggers

[37:29]they penetrated deeper into the body of abanfa imam al hussain rushed

[37:36]him causing the enemy troops to flee when imam al hussain approached

[37:42]him he first saw the waterskin then the flag on the ground

[37:48]then he saw the two arms of heaven fall scattered on the

[37:52]battleground al abbas was lying on the ground an arrow embedded in

[38:00]his eye and an arrow in his chest imam al hussein couldn't

[38:05]control himself he looked at aban fav he said oh my brother

[38:32]abbas my back is broken with your loss i have no energy

[38:38]after you my enemies have rejoice the loss of heaven father who

[38:45]will who will protect the woman and the daughters of rasulullah after

[38:50]you abbas you have broken my back abbas my enemies have rejoiced

[39:20]over your death imam al hussain he came and stood over the

[39:29]body of heaven far he urged al abbas to get up so

[39:34]that he may take him back to the camp refused he tells

[39:40]him i had promised the children to bring them back water how

[39:45]can i go back empty handed after a few moments died in

[40:06]the lap of his brother imam al hussain imam al hussain he

[40:13]was seen walking back to the camp alone broken sorrowful wiping his

[40:21]tears with his sleeve imam al hussein returned to his camp so

[40:27]kaina approached him and asked him about her uncle she tells him

[40:39]imam al hussain had no words he goes and he brings down

[40:44]the tent of abel fad as soon as zaynab and the woman

[40:49]saw this they began to cry out after the death of al

[41:01]abbas imam al hussain was left without supporters is there no one

[41:29]to help us is there no one to protect us before imam

[41:34]al hussain said his last farewell his sister zainab brought him his

[41:40]infant abdullah zaynab told him my brother before you go please ask

[41:47]this man for a few drops of water for this child he

[41:52]is dying out of thirst he can no longer breathe imam al

[41:58]hussain took his son and headed towards the enemy and asked him

[42:03]for a few drops of water the enemy huddled around each other

[42:19]to decide whether to give the six month old water or not

[42:25]all of a sudden haramal ibn qa'in shot the infant with an

[42:31]arrow which pierced through the child's neck killing him blood that was

[42:46]dropping from the abdullah's neck and threw it to the sky and

[42:52]he said imam al baqir says none of the drops of blood

[43:10]came back to the ground imam al hussain came back he handed

[43:15]the child to his sister zainab because he knew that the heart

[43:21]of his mother would not bear seeing her son killed in that

[43:26]way and then imam al hussein according to a narration he buried

[43:32]the infant right away behind one of the tents because he knew

[43:37]that the body of the infant would not bear the trampling of

[43:42]the horses at that time imam al hussein looked hopeless to live

[43:49]downhearted sorrowful and ready to meet his lord and will be facing

[43:55]martyrdom he came back to his family bidding them farewell one last

[44:01]time may peace be with you i am going away and we

[44:41]shall meet in paradise be patient after my death for you have

[44:46]many tragedies awaiting you then he asked for his horse zainab brings

[44:52]him his horse tears filling her eyes when imam al hussain mounted

[44:58]his horse and headed towards the battlefield he heard a faint voice

[45:04]calling him from behind mahalam mahla yabina zahra he looked back to

[45:12]see that it was his sister zaynab asking him to come down

[45:17]from the horse she told him you abba abdullah there is one

[45:23]thing i need to do come down from your horse she embraced

[45:28]him and kissed him on his neck and kissed him another kiss

[45:34]on his chest then she turned towards medina she said oh mother

[45:40]oh father ma i did what you told me to do then

[45:45]imam al hussain he rode his horse one last time and began

[45:52]to charge at the enemies he began to say then he attacked

[46:09]the left flank and he began to say thereupon umar ibn saad

[46:24]he called on the troops he tells them everyone will everyone face

[46:29]him and attack him do you know who he is he is

[46:33]the son of ibn abi qadir the arrows began to rain on

[46:44]abba abdullah 4,000 arrows were directed towards him then the enemies came

[46:53]between imam al hussain and his camp a fierce fighting rage since

[47:00]imam al hussain was thirsty he attacked the flank of the army

[47:04]which was sealing off the river he managed to disperse them and

[47:10]make his way into the river once he was near the water

[47:14]a man called out oh hussain you want to drink the water

[47:19]while your family's integrity is being violated imam al hussain left the

[47:26]water and did not drink and he went towards his camp one

[47:31]time when omar ibn saad he saw him approaching he ordered his

[47:37]soldiers to attack him from every direction one by one they met

[47:42]the imam and the imam fought them fiercely after killing tens of

[47:48]them imam al hussain became severely wounded the imam was tired and

[47:55]exhausted he was extremely thirsty he tells them oh people give me

[48:10]a drop of water by my grandfather's life i am thirsty shamir

[48:16]tells him you're not going to taste it until you enter the

[48:21]hellfire imam al hussain tells him i will go and meet my

[48:26]grandfather in paradise in order to bring the imam away from the

[48:33]river they began to attack the camp of imam al hussain so

[48:38]imam al hussain he began to tell them said what are you

[49:01]saying go son of fatima imam al hussain replied he says i

[49:07]am the one who is fighting you imam al hussain said i

[49:11]am the one who is fighting you and the women are not

[49:15]at fault so as long as i am alive forbid your insolent

[49:20]thugs from harassing my inviolables he tells them come and attack me

[49:36]leave the woman and the children so shamir accepted his request then

[49:42]the enemies they all began to target imam al hussain four groups

[49:48]began to attack imam al hussain one group with the swords another

[49:53]with the spears another with the arrows and another group began to

[49:59]throw rocks at abu abdullah imam al hussain he had to stop

[50:04]and rest he paused for a moment weakened by his thirst and

[50:10]the wounds as he was resting one of the enemies by the

[50:15]name of abu al khattuw he threw a stone that landed on

[50:20]the forehead of abba abdullah causing the blood to gush gush down

[50:25]from the imam's face the rock broke the forehead of abba abdullah

[50:31]the imam erased his shirt to wipe the blood off his face

[50:36]suddenly enemy has shot a three pronged arrow which landed in the

[50:43]chest of abu abdullah al hussain saad haban wahab he struck the

[50:49]imam with a spear on his side the imam fell from the

[50:54]horse he began to say he then raised his head to the

[51:12]sky and said oh allah you know very well that they are

[51:17]killing the grandson of the prophet and there's no other grandson beside

[51:22]him he pulled out the arrow from his back since it would

[51:26]not come out of his chest causing the blood to stream down

[51:31]he put his hand under his chest filling it with blood then

[51:36]he threw the blood towards the sky and said my only comfort

[51:41]is that what has befallen me is in the way of allah

[51:46]he then filled his hand again with the blood this time staining

[51:50]his hair and his beard he said i wish to meet allah

[52:01]and my grandfather drenched in my blood and i will tell my

[52:06]grandfather that i was killed by so and so imam al hussain

[52:11]finally wounded was left lying on the ground for a considerable time

[52:17]they began to come at him and strike him from close range

[52:22]as he was lying on the ground the imam's body was filled

[52:27]with wounds one man comes and shoots him with an arrow in

[52:32]the mouth another man shoots him in the throat another man strikes

[52:37]him with his sword on his head abdullah ibn hazan came running

[52:43]to the imam he saw a man strike trying to strike the

[52:48]his he his saw a man trying to strike his uncle and

[52:52]placed his hand in front of the sword instead of striking the

[52:57]imam the sword struck abdullah ibn al hasan he says oh my

[53:02]uncle they have shot they have cut off my hand the imam

[53:07]tells him be patient oh my nephew then harmale ibn kahil shot

[53:13]the 11 year old in the lap of his uncle imam al

[53:17]hussain and killed him the imam was left for dead but all

[53:23]of the tribes were afraid to finish him off they would look

[53:27]out they would look in the eyes of the imam and be

[53:31]taken back by the awe of his beautiful face despite all of

[53:36]his wounds they would see the eyes of rasulullah he struck the

[53:43]imam on his head the imam tells him may you not eat

[53:48]or drink from your right hand ibn shuraykh struck on his left

[53:53]shoulder his spear in the collarbone of the imam then he shot

[54:00]the arrow in the imam's throat al hussain ibn numair shot at

[54:06]close range in the mouth of the imam another man on his

[54:10]shoulder the imam's horse started roaming around him staining his forehead with

[54:17]the imam's blood the horse kept on circling the imam as if

[54:22]telling him go up because the enemy is approaching imam al baqir

[54:28]he says wallah the horse was laying it was saying what an

[54:40]injustice has been done to the grandson of the prophet by his

[54:46]own nation the horse then headed towards the camp of imam al

[54:51]hussain the woman heard the voice of the horse thinking that imam

[54:56]al hussain came back to them however they come out of their

[55:01]tents to see the horse without the knight dredged in the blood

[55:06]of his master they began to be at their chest shouting wah

[55:12]hosayna let us shout with them all wah hosayna wa hosayna zayna

[55:22]immediately rushed to the scene to see what has happened to her

[55:27]brother she saw the imam laying on the ground surrounded by the

[55:33]enemies zainab shouted oh omer ibn saad have you no mercy to

[55:39]see my brother in this state omer ibn saad his tears streaming

[55:44]down his face shouted to his soldiers go down to him and

[55:50]bring him peace meaning that one of you must kill him at

[55:56]the sound of this command he approached the imam he began to

[56:06]kick at the imam's chest then he sat on the chest of

[56:11]abba abdullah and then he grabbed the beard of imam al hussain

[56:17]he took out a dagger and he began to strike at the

[56:21]neck of abba abdullah 12 times all while imam al hussain was

[56:27]saying they killed him then shimrat nidil jawshan he placed the head

[56:40]of abba abdul mah on the spear and suddenly the earth began

[56:47]to shake the skies began to thunder suddenly they saw the head
