[1:37]of the reappearance of Enlighten your souls and the atmosphere with the

[1:49]recitation of salawat upon Muhammad Muhammad muham Muhammad is a famous supplication

[2:19]and a wonderful lifechanging Dua from the commander of the faithful how

[2:33]blessed and fortunate each and every one of us to be able

[2:39]to have the treasures of Ali Muhammad as far as the Dua

[2:41]literature is concerned one thing that is truly unique is that in

[2:49]every aspect and in every part of there is a Dua that

[2:52]indeed has been presented for you and I we find that when

[2:57]it comes to Salah in Salah there are a number of duas

[2:59]that we recite during the month of Ramadan there is du du

[3:07]the daily duas in ha there are supplications for ta supplications for

[3:13]supplications for the land ofat supplications for mifa every aspect of our

[3:22]lives there are supplications given to us even when it comes to

[3:27]sleeping or eating or wearing our clothes we have a huge collection

[3:36]of supplications presented to us by the and this is a a

[3:42]blessing that we should never take lightly or for granted because truly

[3:46]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and especially in the month of Ramadan has

[3:51]made this month the month of Dua why inah Bak Allah subhanahu

[3:58]wa ta'ala places the emphasis on Dua sandwiched between the verses that

[4:06]speak about and fasting Allah says what he says then the next

[4:18]Ayah is what that when my servants ask you about me I

[4:26]am close the next Ayah is what that Allah continues the discussion

[4:38]on and fasting meaning Dua has a special place in the month

[4:42]of Ramadan and it is truly an opportunity for you and I

[4:49]to understand the depth of these of but today if I was

[4:52]to ask you a question and if we were to have a

[4:55]survey here and those who are watching what is the number one

[4:59]purpose of supplications duas why do I supplicate why do I raise

[5:05]my hands why do I recite these duas from the Quran and

[5:08]the the vast majority will say it's because we are in need

[5:16]and Allah is the Allah is the all owing all Magnificent the

[5:18]one who has the is the owner of everything therefore he gives

[5:21]us he is the rich and we are the poor so when

[5:24]I am in need I say to him y help me y

[5:27]assist me y fulfill my wish most people will say the objective

[5:37]of the Dua is to get what we desire from however sadly

[5:43]to the disappointment of many people Quran and the of does not

[5:47]tell us this yes it's a very important objective it is a

[5:54]fruitful outcome of supplications yet the number one idea behind Dua is

[5:59]what is to establish a link and a connection with Allah waala

[6:03]it is to create that bond with it is to establish a

[6:09]number of things which are what someone asks you other than your

[6:13]what do I need to attain when I speak to Allah waala

[6:19]in supplications number one we are beings that require that spiritual charge

[6:25]and that conversation with Allah we need it Allah has created us

[6:29]so if I don't supplicate to him I'm missing out Allah says

[6:37]supplicate to me I will answer to you Allah says but if

[6:46]you don't do Dua then you will Enter Hell disgraced meaning what

[6:51]meaning I as a human being my heart needs the Dua I

[6:57]cannot survive without speaking to Allah it's the fuel it's the energy

[7:01]it is what I require for my spirit to be nourished that's

[7:08]number one number two Quran says we are scared we are frightened

[7:13]we are unstable beings we need the Assurance we need the hope

[7:21]the positivity The Continuous mentioning of the name of Allah there are

[7:28]some people who have said said to me and others they said

[7:33]why is Allah subhana wa tala made it so difficult for our

[7:35]haat to be fulfilled for our needs to be given surely it

[7:38]would have been easy that whenever we think of something that we

[7:44]want he would give it to us like in Jenna J is

[7:49]exactly like this you don't need to ask Allah in J the

[7:51]Dua is what yet in this world you need to supplicate and

[7:58]the answer is if Allah gave us whatever we want all the

[8:04]time we would never speak to him imagine if you and I

[8:12]gives it to me when would I turn to him when would

[8:16]I converse with him when would I supplicate to him because all

[8:21]that I need is given to me yet wants us to ascend

[8:23]and transcend our understanding of supplications meaning what Allah says if you

[8:29]don't speak to to me I will not care about you if

[8:36]it wasn't for your Dua Allah will not focus on you focus

[8:41]on you means what will not necessarily give you that extra care

[8:44]and mercy and love that he would give to his chosen servants

[8:49]he would give it just like he does for all of his

[8:51]creation therefore the Dua serves something much greater number one it's about

[8:57]that connection number two it's about AA and beliefs IM what was

[9:08]one of his most powerful tools after carala he used Dua he

[9:14]used Dua to awaken the masses he used Dua in order for

[9:16]people to learn about their teachings their I ask you there are

[9:21]two ways of looking at Dua in our eyes tonight you and

[9:24]I will be reciting Dua Kabir we'll be reciting Dua Abu Hamza

[9:28]we'll be reciting other supplications from there are two ways of looking

[9:35]at these duas please understand this there is one way which is

[9:38]that it's a Dua and it's what words that I need to

[9:43]recite the other way is what it is that it is not

[9:44]only words that I need to recite I must also understand its

[9:51]relevance in my life meaning I should be able to link that

[9:54]Dua literature to my day-to-day occurrences how I engage in my life

[10:03]I ask you this question these duas that we have and these

[10:06]supplications from the this wonderful treasure that unfortunately sometimes today we have

[10:11]only kept for ourselves we have not given to the world today

[10:17]if you look at for example encyclopedias of duas from the you'll

[10:22]find that there is a very fascinating number of supplications from each

[10:28]Imam if I was to ask you this question what is the

[10:35]number one Imam who has given us duas if I was to

[10:41]ask you the top IM with the most duas from the the

[10:47]14 including the prophet of Islam and if I was to ask

[10:49]you if we were to gather all the supplications of theit which

[10:57]Imam comes out top many will say fourth Imam Alam yes many

[11:04]will say when we come to we always used to the duas

[11:07]of IM Z isn't it however there is a fantastic work which

[11:15]is called the Encyclopedia of the Dua of published by the shine

[11:18]of in MH a few years ago I've seen this encyclopedia and

[11:25]is available online this encyclopedia says as far as the duas that

[11:29]we have today and it's not conclusive it's not comprehensive but they

[11:33]say as far as the number of duas that we have today

[11:39]we have 1,43 supplications from the prophet we have 532 from we

[11:46]have 69 from say Fatima we have 30 from IM Hassan peace

[11:54]be upon them 79 from IM Hussein we have 264 from IM

[12:01]Z we have 203 from IM 947 from IM Wallah if tonight

[12:17]you walk out of this door and you've learned this that's enough

[12:21]yes the number one from the who has duas is the prophet

[12:29]second after him is IM am this doesn't mean that the rest

[12:31]of the don't have supplications it just didn't reach us or the

[12:37]situation was not allowed for them to be able to present these

[12:39]duas or for it to be preserved yet you notice that the

[12:48]encyclopedia has found 129 for IM M ja 86 for IM 51

[12:56]for IM jaad 26 for IMI 19 for imari and 44 duas

[12:59]from anybody who is good at maths and just immediately added all

[13:13]these numbers will come to the conclusion that it's 3,573 supplications in

[13:19]addition to a few that are not known which Imam has what

[13:23]has narrated we have over 3 and a half thousand supplications and

[13:28]this is is not comprehensive there are other duas other supplications that

[13:33]are presented to us but the third most supplications that are present

[13:38]today and we can benefit from is from whom IM says according

[13:51]to the Ori was a man who loved to supplicate and his

[14:03]supplications are a demonstration of his depth spirituality wisdom and his special

[14:10]connection with with Allah subhana wa tala I tell you how many

[14:17]of us are used to Dua on Thursday nights how many of

[14:29]in Arabia on Thursday nights at the time of Hajj usually the

[15:04]walking you know non crying stopping there and mesmerized by these words

[15:09]anyone today who hears the supplications of Ali Muhammad will not be

[15:14]able to control themselves but to be drawn into it I have

[15:19]a friend who is a graduate from Cambridge University you must know

[15:23]Cambridge it's like the Harvard and the other great schools here he

[15:28]said when I graduated from an engineering degree we have a monthly

[15:32]publication that is sent to the teachers and the professors and the

[15:37]students within the engineering department of Cambridge he said the the head

[15:42]of the publication is one of the professors at the University he

[15:47]said he's not a Muslim yet I see him frequently quoting lines

[15:53]from referring to the lines of Imam Z abidin likewise Professor Henry

[16:00]was a non-muslim scholar he would communicate with the author of a

[16:07]Misan Alama once asked him you are a non-muslim how do you

[16:09]speak to God because we have duas that we speak to God

[16:14]we have supplications Professor kin said to him in a letter that's

[16:18]available today he said to him the way I speak to my

[16:22]Lord is by using the words of this is an indication that

[16:27]if non-muslims were to get hold of the supplications of Ali Muhammad

[16:31]you'll see how mesmerized they will be how indeed they'll be drawn

[16:35]back because there is spiritual emptiness they're desperate for some light for

[16:42]some Enlightenment now of course has this Dua has has a number

[16:47]of other supplications like for example he used to love reciting the

[16:51]following Dua from the Quran which is a great Dua to be

[16:57]recited if you're not married and it's a Dua that's good to

[17:01]be recited if you are married and want children and it's a

[17:04]good Dua if You' if you've married and have children and want

[17:10]the children to be righteous so it's nearly for everyone except you're

[17:17]married and you have righteous children and you don't want anything else

[17:21]even then it's good to recite because this is not only to

[17:24]fill this Dua I have always said to people recite this because

[17:30]many make it a habit to associate not only the supplications of

[17:34]the Quran but also what but also the supplications of so Allah

[17:48]inah says that this idea that comes forward this Dua from the

[18:02]Quran in chapter 25: 74 2574 if you want to recite it

[18:08]every day it's good for those seeking a spouse it's good for

[18:10]those who don't have children and want children it's good for those

[18:13]who want righteous children this Dua IM used to love to recite

[18:22]why because it says that the Servants of the almighty the all

[18:26]merciful are the ones that say oh Allah make give us spouses

[18:30]that bring a source of Pride to our hearts and our eyes

[18:37]and the righteous children and what and grant us to be the

[18:44]leaders of the the ones who are God wey but it's interesting

[18:48]because the Dua doesn't say Ya Allah give me children those who

[18:58]know Arabic will know doesn't mean children means what it means Generations

[19:07]Quran doesn't want you to be shortlived Allah wants you to build

[19:14]for Generations until the day ofy you are supplicating and saying yaah

[19:19]Allah not only my children I want them to be the best

[19:21]of the best the CR I want their children and their children

[19:28]and their children until the day of to be what to be

[19:31]righteous to be virtuous to be Gody to be of those who

[19:38]follow the Quran and the another Dua that I'd like to draw

[19:41]your attention which is critical and very important in order to understand

[19:46]the spiritual status of this great man because my dear sisters and

[19:55]brothers there is one way to know the Brilliance of a human

[19:57]being and that's to look at their Legacy to look at what

[20:03]they' have left behind if they've left behind that that changes the

[20:06]world that helps us transform that become better human beings know that

[20:12]that individual is a good individual that has inspired so many human

[20:17]beings I ask you one question is there any other human being

[20:24]any who said to the world continuously not once not twice not

[20:33]three times but on many occasions ask me before you lose me

[20:42]give me another human being and don't tell me oh that means

[20:44]IM has a high status and the prophet not at all the

[20:49]IM says I'm a slave from the slaves of Muhammad but the

[20:53]holy prophet would teach all this yes if the IM says he

[21:03]is saying I am the best student of Muhammad s alai wasallam

[21:14]and once the K they heard this statement so they said we

[21:24]will disgrace Ali we will show that his knowledge is deficient so

[21:27]we will set send him 10 people at different times they will

[21:33]ask him the same question if he answers the same answer that

[21:36]means that he does not have the depth of knowledge the first

[21:42]person went to him and said yah Ali what is better wealth

[21:50]or knowledge Imam says knowledge because those who have knowledge their hearts

[21:54]will be purified those who have just wealth their Hearts will be

[21:59]darkened a second man came to him and said Ali what is

[22:07]better IM says why because those of knowledge have many friends those

[22:16]with wealth have many enemies the third person comes and says yeah

[22:20]Ali should I become a wealthy person or a knowledgeable person Imam

[22:24]says look for why because the more you spread the more it

[22:33]increases the more you give wealth the more it decreases all these

[22:38]10 they came the last person when he came and is about

[22:42]to leave Imam looked at him and says I want to tell

[22:45]you something if every human being who's alive comes and asks me

[22:50]this question as long as I am alive I will give him

[22:54]or her a different answer this is what this is a depth

[22:59]of the knowledge of this particular man but when it comes to

[23:03]his supplications it's a reflection of hism it's a reflection of his

[23:06]spirituality as a reflection of his depth and his wisdom this Dua

[23:12]I would like you to memorize this Dua because for me it's

[23:18]a lifechanging Dua meaning what the world that we live in today

[23:21]is a world full of troubles world full of pain full of

[23:28]suffering Agony individually there are people who are going through incredible suffering

[23:33]hardship maybe Financial maybe Health maybe they're being abused by others we

[23:41]have in the world around us in many different places people suffering

[23:46]collectively as communities being under the subject of bombardment persecution poverty deprivation

[23:55]oppression we look at the world today and nobody can claim that

[24:01]it's what it's all Rosy and all perfect and nice each and

[24:04]every individual each and every one of us has their own packages

[24:09]each and every one of us have their own pains they'd like

[24:12]it to be relieved they'd like it to be somehow solved people

[24:18]say to me why I wish these masak these problems do not

[24:21]exist I wish we live in a peaceful existence an existence where

[24:26]there is no suffering an existence where there is no pain there

[24:30]is a problem with this question because you have entered it with

[24:34]the false premise there is no such thing as this D without

[24:39]pain it comes with it it's part of the package it is

[24:42]not to be separated from it you say to me why are

[24:46]you being pessimistic why being negative that's not negative I am not

[24:49]saying this pain must be always the source of discomfort there are

[24:55]those who look at pain with a different lens there are those

[24:57]who look at this pain as one that helps them to grow

[25:03]become better human beings Excel those individuals at the outset are the

[25:07]they would never complain about this pain there is no Prophet that

[25:15]has been hurt the way I have been Hur the prophet says

[25:19]so when you and I going through this difficulty and hardship and

[25:22]being in a state of discomfort we need help we need assistance

[25:29]but you know what the problem is we think the assistance comes

[25:33]by the removal of this pain people come to me and say

[25:38]do you have a do you have a Dua do you have

[25:39]something because I can't deal with this anymore I suffering with a

[25:45]particular medical condition I have a son or daughter who doesn't want

[25:49]for example they say who doesn't want to pray doesn't want to

[25:53]wear hijab doesn't want to have anything to do with Islam I

[25:58]have for example really bad manager or a boss at work who

[26:01]stops me from excelling I have for example neighborhood Who are all

[26:05]against me islamophobic I'm feeling grief in my heart I am asking

[26:12]Allah for 20 years y I've been to and and Z nights

[26:14]of I have donated I have supplicated I've cried I've done everything

[26:20]but it's not happening it's still there what's going on so now

[26:26]I'm going to search on YouTube and on Google why is my

[26:30]Dua not being answered then I see a list and I go

[26:35]through the list very carefully you have to be in you have

[26:40]to face the you have to give you have to mean it

[26:42]from the heart you have to this this this so I do

[26:45]it and then all of a sudden I hear an or somebody

[26:49]from the member say do this and your will be fulfilled I

[26:52]immediately rush home I do it and then I call that molana

[26:59]or information it doesn't work I'm still waiting and I've been waiting

[27:05]for so long wah you know when we go for I see

[27:08]people and I look in their eyes their eyes are full of

[27:12]desperation they don't know what else to do they look at me

[27:15]and say I don't know what else to do I'm tired I

[27:19]want relief I want out I want to see something that makes

[27:22]me happy why is it not happening to me gives the answer

[27:30]you see my sisters and brothers these nights of are not about

[27:38]your fulfillment of wishes these nights of is about understanding how things

[27:42]work and you being in unison and submitting with what Allah wants

[27:47]because you want something and Allah wants something and many a times

[27:52]we CH start to challenge what Allah wants gives you and I

[28:01]this prescription please memorize these this Dua of IM because if you

[28:05]ever think about it you will unlock many treasures and secrets as

[28:09]to why we have troubles as to why we have issues Allah

[28:22]it is absolutely sufficient for me in my life that's it I

[28:28]don't need anything else that you you are my Lord what does

[28:34]this mean how is this going to solve our problems the idea

[28:38]that I am pleased with Allah may be a foregone conclusion in

[28:42]your eyes and my eyes is there somebody today who will say

[28:47]to us I'm not happy with Allah I have heard so many

[28:52]people tell me that I can show you the messages and the

[28:54]emails and the Instagram and everything why is God doing this to

[28:59]me why is he punishing me I unfortunately sometimes lose the Hope

[29:03]in Allah and therefore perhaps not deliberately start to question him start

[29:07]not to be happy with him I give you an example molana

[29:14]is there a loophole for is there a way I can navigate

[29:22]out of for example fasting or any of the wajibat if I

[29:26]am happy with Allah and I am delighted that he is my

[29:29]Lord anything that he has given me I should be delighted with

[29:36]but the moment I object to what Allah subhanahu wa taala has

[29:40]written for me not only through the but also the T Queen

[29:46]meaning what whatever is legislative and generative meaning I am a individual

[29:53]who is proud that Allah is my Lord if I am proud

[29:55]that Allah is my Lord though is the epitome of this person

[30:02]says means there is nothing that fills my heart with pride and

[30:09]honor this is the positive bride by the way this is the

[30:13]true way of being Pride yes not like how some people do

[30:18]in the month of June and come out on pride month that

[30:21]is the real Pride the pride of being with Allah subhana T

[30:27]and to believe and to submit to him now IM wants us

[30:30]to understand this thing he goes to [Music] say it fills me

[30:41]with what's number one it's Power number two is dignity number three

[30:45]it's honor I am absolutely delighted and I have strength because I

[30:50]am your servant you are exactly how I want you to be

[31:00]make me how you want me to be these lines I need

[31:08]to understand in order to solve the puzzle of these challenges that

[31:13]I have in my life how do I understand what is gifting

[31:18]you and I through this supplication that is indicative of his Excellence

[31:24]if somebody today and please for the next few minutes focus with

[32:23]actually mean Quran says it's a great great way great thing to

[32:28]say yes it is indication of the true depth of an understanding

[32:31]of an individual's relationship with Allah subhana wa tala it is not

[32:38]necessarily this saw a man saying he said to him may your

[32:45]mother mourn for you do you know what this means the man

[32:49]said yeahi no I don't know I'm just saying it he said

[33:00]he says when I say I am saying Allah I am owned

[33:07]I don't own anything you are the owner Malik you own everything

[33:15]I own nothing it is an establishment of the fact that I

[33:20]do not possess everything in Allah you possess everything there was a

[33:23]slave once in the market who uh person was trying to buy

[33:30]back in the time where they used to buy slaves he saw

[33:34]him he said to him what's your name the slave said to

[33:37]him whatever you wish to name me he said to him what

[33:41]do you eat he said whatever you wish to feed me he

[33:44]said where would you like to sleep he said whatever you wish

[33:48]to place me he said what would you like to wear he

[33:52]said whatever you clothe me so the man said to him don't

[33:54]you want anything the slave looked up and said how dare a

[33:58]slave Dem anything from the master I a slave who am I

[34:06]to demand things from you IM here says what he says that

[34:10]the true individual who recognizes what is happening around them understands that

[34:15]whatever they have belongs to I remember one of the he said

[34:22]I used to tell people never be attached to whatever you have

[34:25]in this world don't be attached to it he said one day

[34:29]I was sitting at home in and I saw that my ring

[34:33]is missing my ring is no longer there so I started to

[34:36]panic and I started to sweat and I'm thinking where is my

[34:41]ring then he said it hit me maybe I'm also similar maybe

[34:43]I am also attached to my ring that now I'm in the

[34:48]state where I have lost the ring but I'm unable to deal

[34:52]with it the individual who understands will understand meaning what I am

[35:06]a servant of Allah I am a slave of I do not

[35:11]own anything he owns me he owns my life he owns my

[35:13]health he owns my wealth he owns my family he owns my

[35:19]security he owns whatever I possess and whatever I have the moment

[35:24]he takes it away from me I should realize that it's what

[35:30]it's gone back to its owner today if somebody gives you something

[35:33]as a loan and says please look after this whatever it is

[35:39]but I will ask for it one day and when they come

[35:43]back for it a few years later or a few months later

[35:44]they say excuse me can you give it back if you have

[35:48]attached yourself to it you'll feel a bit of sadness but a

[35:51]True Believer who's trustworthy a mean will say yeah here you go

[35:55]that's yours will not complain and say excuse me why are you

[35:57]taking it back they'll say to you but it's mine I gave

[36:02]it to you to look after is telling you and I I

[36:07]have given you your life to look after I have given you

[36:09]your wealth to look after I have given you your children to

[36:13]look after I give you what I think is good for you

[36:14]and I will withhold what I think is not good for you

[36:18]therefore I know best and I am Al and I am they're

[36:27]all loving if I begin to understand the Dua of the IM

[36:30]that there is a system in place that gives and takes whatever

[36:36]he wishes and it's all because of his wisdom I begin to

[36:39]deal with everything that happens in my life within that lens and

[36:45]this is the action of the I ask you inala please understand

[36:49]this if you and I were to go through one m one

[36:54]one which is to see our children Slaughter on the plains of

[37:00]carala one or anywhere imagine God forbid may Allah protect all your

[37:05]sons and children but God forbid if you were sitting there and

[37:07]you saw your boys two boys who have just been in front

[37:14]of you killed someone comes to you and says excuse me how

[37:20]is that how is it would you say to them it was

[37:22]amazing would you say it was beautiful they say to you you're

[37:26]crazy how can you say it's beautiful how can you claim that

[37:32]your children being taken their lives taken away she is asked by

[37:44]the how do you think Allah did to your brother I have

[37:53]not seen except Beauty those who know Arabic will know Ma and

[37:56]Ill are tools of exclusivity it means everything was beautiful everything no

[38:07]exception muhamad all of them beautiful a yeah Zab what's going on

[38:17]here you see the daughter of Ali understands how this world Works

[38:25]understands when her Dua says her father's Dua says she knows that

[38:35]the spirit of this existence is what is to submit before Allah

[38:39]subhana wa tala and to understand that things may not make sense

[38:44]to you and I but it's part of a bigger picture it's

[38:46]part of a plan for each and every one of us that

[38:49]Allah would never oppress if tonight you're sitting here and you're not

[38:56]getting your duas answered if you been waiting for something and it's

[39:00]not happening no that Allah is sending you a message are you

[39:03]pleased with me or not yeah Allah says I'm quick to be

[39:10]pleased with you are you pleased with me because if your object

[39:14]to I have given you and I've taken away from you that's

[39:17]an indication that you're not happy with me if you say to

[39:20]me Ya Allah why are you doing this to me what have

[39:23]I done to achieve to deserve this that means you're not understanding

[39:26]why I'm making you go through this a I'm not giving it

[39:30]to you because I want you to become a better human being

[39:31]a stronger person a more patient person B it may not be

[39:36]good for you see I want you to submit and become stronger

[41:56]in your heart and spiritual energy and Enlightenment it's better for you

[42:00]to keep speaking to me so that 20 year Dua is not

[42:07]a loss you haven't lost anything in fact Allah is blessing you
