[0:20]um we have some breaking news coming into cnn right now apparently
[0:24]thousands of muslims are heading towards mecca islam's holy city after a
[0:29]man has emerged announcing himself as the promised messiah scenes of euphoria
[0:33]and celebration are being seen in cities across the world as muslims
[0:36]refer to this as the arrival of mahdi claiming him to be
[0:42]the savior of mankind [Music] so [Music] on the night of ashura
[2:14]al-imam al-mahdi will be in mecca 313 of his close companions will
[2:20]be gathered around him in the grand mosque in mesjudar allah will
[2:26]bring them to the imam so this is his closest inner circle
[2:31]when he starts his revolution he starts it with these three hundred
[2:39]and thirteen so he prays salat al-maghrib and asha after salat al-asha
[2:43]he stands by the kaaba his 313 companions are around him he
[2:50]makes a universal message he gives a speech in masjid al-haram we
[2:56]have the content of the imam speech documented by our imams they
[3:02]have told us foretold us what he will say the narration states
[3:07]that the imam will introduce himself by addressing creation and the reason
[3:12]why he addresses creation as opposed to say muslims or she are
[3:21]or let's say monotheists is because his role is universal for everyone
[3:26]and so therefore he needs to address everyone and everything in creation
[3:30]in order for them to begin their reconciliation with him and his
[3:35]movement for them so he will address the world he will make
[3:40]a number of points briefly first of all he will say that
[3:44]we the family of alibate we have long been persecuted god has
[3:49]given us a status a position but our enemies have denied us
[3:56]that position number one number two i am the closest one to
[4:00]the prophets of god if you want to argue with me about
[4:06]adam i am the closest one to adam if you want to
[4:07]argue with me about ibrahim and his teachings i am the closest
[4:12]one to ibrahim if you want to argue with me about musa
[4:15]isa the prophet salallahu alaihi i represent them i carry their message
[4:20]i am their inheritor then the imam makes a global invitation whoever
[4:28]would like to join us in this global revolution to establish justice
[4:33]you are more welcome the imam al-islam invites muslims specifically to revive
[4:40]the teachings of the quran he will tell them that you have
[4:42]abandoned the book of god you have abandoned the quran now it's
[4:47]the opportunity to revive the teachings of the quran so if you
[4:51]would like to join us we have now started the journey he
[4:55]gives his speech he also makes references to imam al-hussein he says
[5:02]my grandfather imam al-hussein was unjustly killed and i am here to
[5:10]seek revenge by establishing justice because why was imam hussain killed because
[5:14]he represented justice so i'm continuing that message so he does come
[5:19]to avenge the death of imam hussain i am the the replica
[5:24]the remnant of the prophets if you want to see the prophet
[5:28]muhammad sallallahu alaihi sallam look to me if you want to see
[5:33]ali um look to me that is because all of these muslims
[5:37]with their variety all of these monotheists of various persuasions with their
[5:45]variety will all look backward to those historic figures the imam will
[5:51]use that to his advantage to state whatever you believe about the
[5:55]greatness of musa alaihissalam as a jew whatever you believe about the
[5:58]profundity the supremacy of isa alaihissalam as a christian i am that
[6:05]in its entirety not partial in its entirety so look to me
[6:09]for that justice and that will be the inspiring moment that so
[6:13]many people will look to despite his long age because up until
[6:16]now he's about 11 centuries old but the imam will not look
[6:24]old our hadith indicate he will look like a 40 year old
[6:28]man so not an old man a middle-aged man these will be
[6:33]his looks he will have that arabian look because the imam alayhi
[6:38]islam does come from the family of quraish from the albeit who
[6:41]were arabs so he will have that you know arabian look and
[6:48]complexion one hadith states the imam al-islam will look like a full
[6:55]moon or another beautiful tradition states that he will shine like a
[7:01]star so the imam alayhi salaam will be very attractive in his
[7:10]looks people will recognize glory majesty in his looks they will recognize
[7:14]piety and faith you know that symbolic light that will surround his
[7:18]his face he will be wearing the clothes of the prophet that
[7:22]he inherited so the garment of the prophet the shirt of the
[7:28]prophet specifically the shirt that the prophet war at the battle of
[7:33]ahud imam alaihi salaam will be wearing the clothes of the prophet
[7:38]so he will really resemble the prophets in his in his complexion
[7:43]in his physical features the imam alaihi salaam will look like his
[7:48]forefathers he'll be a descendant of an arab genealogy he will also
[7:54]have had for three or four generations before that north african mothers
[7:58]who will probably bring about a darker skin tone to him he
[8:03]will be 40 years old or look at the equivalent of a
[8:06]40 year old he will have the stocky trend and so on
[8:09]and so forth when we talk about the marif of the imam
[8:14]these are not ways to recognize the imam and too often again
[8:19]because the hadith mentions a b and c we get bogged down
[8:22]into thinking this is how we need to recognize the imam imagine
[8:27]now you're from china this man is of typical arab descent if
[8:35]you get bogged down in his features you may think he's not
[8:38]a savior for you because he doesn't represent your world and so
[8:43]when those narrations are being given i question as to what extent
[8:50]they are seen in terms of an arab context whereas the imam
[8:54]alaihissalam elsewhere in ahadith is mentioned as being like water why because
[9:00]water runs everywhere water is universal water is colorless water is not
[9:06]biased in the way in which you see it you have to
[9:10]put something to the water to make it change in the same
[9:14]way why the imam is called like water because of his universality
[9:20]and it will be less about his physical appearance that brings people
[9:24]towards him now if i get bogged down in the physical appearance
[9:28]when false imams stand up and they say i am the imam
[9:32]if i get bogged down to the physical appearance of what the
[9:37]imam looks like i may choose that false imam or if i'm
[9:39]of a different physical appearance and i don't recognize the imam because
[9:44]of physical appearance i would have rejected the right imam both scenarios
[9:49]can take place according to authentic narrations when the news of the
[9:54]mahdi's return reaches the sufyani in syria he will order his army
[9:59]to advance from medina towards mecca with the hope of assassinating the
[10:03]however when the army reaches an area called al-baidak in the arabian
[10:07]desert the ground will split and engulf the entire army the incident
[10:13]is known as and is amongst the definite signs of the return
[10:18]of the mahdi so now the imam alayhi salaam starts on his
[10:25]mission once that army is out of his way the imam peace
[10:28]be upon him is waiting now for his second circle of supporters
[10:32]his first inner circle was how many 313.
[10:36]the second is ten thousand ten thousand supporters who are not as
[10:45]high ranking as the 313 but they are sincere and dedicated supporters
[10:49]they joined the imam once the imam al-islam has 10 and 313
[10:56]companions he now marches towards iraq towards kufa the imam marches there
[11:04]on his way there will be some skirmishes some minor battles because
[11:08]there will be enemies who will try to stop the imam but
[11:10]allah subhanahu ta'ala grants him victory so on his way to iraq
[11:15]he will be joined by aliyamani from yemen and al-qurasani who will
[11:22]come from he will be joined by these two righteous people who
[11:26]have armies with them the imam ali salam will first go to
[11:34]karbala he will visit the shrine of imam hussain and some hadiths
[11:37]indicate al-imam al-hussein al-islam will speak to al-mahdi and he tells him
[11:42]welcome my grandson and there's an emotional encounter that occurs there where
[11:46]the imam al-islam takes out the baby and he says to the
[11:53]world what is the sin of this baby such that they slaughtered
[11:59]the baby then the imam goes to kufa because kufa will be
[12:03]his headquarters the imam establishes the government in kufa there will be
[12:09]some members of the sufyani army in iraq because a sufyani dispatches
[12:14]two armies one is the army that he sent to hijaz to
[12:17]medina that was swallowed by the ground however he had also sent
[12:21]another army to iraq so the imam al-islam is given victory by
[12:27]god over that army and he establishes his government up until this
[12:32]point the events are mainly occurring in muslim lands in muslim countries
[12:40]at this point it seems from the hadiths non-muslims are not involved
[12:43]yet they're just watching from the global stage they're watching very closely
[12:50]these very important developments what we understand from certain texts is that
[12:57]his house or maybe his government will start in sahih in the
[13:01]masjid of sahara and at the moment there are many people going
[13:04]visiting sahla and trying to contribute to the refurbishment of sahala so
[13:09]that it is ready for a movement of the imam ali islam
[13:15]ready to be his starting point of government this raises a question
[13:23]and a valid question today the world has other locations for the
[13:32]centrality of human government those places are things like the united nations
[13:38]offices and buildings in switzerland in the united states of america you
[13:45]also have for example certain economic forums that are located in certain
[13:50]cities of the world london is the financial capital of the world
[13:53]new york is a financial capital of the world davos is an
[14:00]intellectual and economic strategic center of the world how do we reconcile
[14:11]a globalized society that even the arab world looks towards with the
[14:16]imam alaihissalam establishing for himself an independent center are the narrations wrong
[14:27]or will the imam ignore the united nations building will the rest
[14:33]of the world look in or or look in rejection of his
[14:37]governmental location and again because we have to see that these narrations
[14:43]are mentioned to us in a context of a questioner and an
[14:48]answer who have their own immediate contexts it allows us to understand
[14:57]the mahdi and revolution beyond just the text the text is absolutely
[15:02]correct the imam alaihi islam will establish for himself a home it
[15:05]will establish for himself a government and the middle east would certainly
[15:09]be the starting point of his movement but i don't imagine that
[15:14]the imam will reject what human community what the human community has
[15:18]achieved for themselves in bringing about a centralized respected center of globalized
[15:25]movement and i think that will actually be an evidence of the
[15:28]imam's imamite that he is able to work with these institutions and
[15:33]help them in achieving what they've always sought to achieve imam ali
[15:37]salaam during his four years of you know ruling the muslim world
[15:42]and being the caliph his headquarters were was also kufa so the
[15:47]imam alaihi salam will continue that he will establish the seat of
[15:51]his government in kufa and that will be the most important city
[15:57]in his world in fact one hadith states that people will regret
[16:03]not buying a piece of property in kufa after the imam establishes
[16:10]it as his government because land prices will be so expensive there
[16:14]due to the high demand that many people will just not be
[16:18]able to afford it so this is just an indication that it
[16:23]will be a very important city the imam alaihissalam will start from
[16:28]kufa and then he will expand outwards you know he will go
[16:30]all the way east to china he will go all the way
[16:35]west you know to palestine and then to to to the european
[16:39]continent and then from there his government will expand now those 313
[16:44]companions some of them will be regional governors so while the imam
[16:51]alayhi will be the head of this global unified state there will
[16:55]be regional rulers rulers and governors once the imam establishes his movement
[17:01]i.e that suggests that there will be uh people with him there
[17:06]will be uh a globalized revolution that is taking place from that
[17:14]point the imam then has to go about his movement the narrations
[17:17]are multiple he will go to palestine he will hadith is very
[17:22]specific it says for example he will be very harsh towards the
[17:29]arabs many of the arab states suggesting they will reject the mahadeen
[17:33]revolution because he will want justice and they're about tyranny and oppression
[17:36]and exploitation power so those two things cannot live in the same
[17:40]place if he tries to bring about a revolution they will of
[17:44]course likely reject him as he's going to palestine as sufyani tries
[17:48]to stop the imam from going he tries to negotiate with the
[17:53]imam to stop him from going to palestine but the imam al-isram
[17:55]refuses to compromise with the sufyani he manages to get to palestine
[18:00]the imam alaihi salam will liberate palestine according to our traditions at
[18:07]that point it seems the western world or the jewish and the
[18:15]christian worlds now are very concerned about these developments and they try
[18:22]to dispatch their armies to fight the mahdi when they see him
[18:25]liberating palestine non-muslim countries will try to get involved they will organize
[18:33]huge armies to go to palestine to stop the imam al-islam from
[18:40]advancing further the armies go they reach palestine imagine on one side
[18:47]you have imam al-mahdi the savior with his companions on the other
[18:51]side you have huge powerful armies to stop the imam and to
[18:53]fight the imam it seems that the liberation of palestine ticks them
[19:00]off they're disturbed by that so that's why they have to send
[19:04]their armies why does he target palestine why does he establish a
[19:11]movement to reclaim gods the argument must be this is one of
[19:20]the sources of friction sources of opposition to the mahdi and movement
[19:24]and this is wide until today that certain lobbies from that area
[19:31]are coming out and trying to dispel the idea of the mahadeen
[19:39]movement of being just what are they saying they're saying things like
[19:44]iran iraq lebanon they're calling for this mahdi person when he comes
[19:49]he's going to destroy all the jews he's going to destroy the
[19:51]middle east he has to use nuclear weapons to bring about the
[19:56]end times all of this is nonsense but all of it is
[19:58]done to discredit the mahdi and revolution in the same way that
[20:03]they discredited it discredited the muhammadan revolution so we have to understand
[20:10]that the mahadeen movement when he starts going to say arabia when
[20:13]he starts to liberate arabia when he starts to liberate palestine it
[20:17]is because those are the sources of oppression and sources of financial
[20:25]and media and military oppression and rejection of the true mahdi and
[20:30]revolution this confrontation that is about to take place between the not
[20:36]muslim armies and the army of alibaba something happens which changes the
[20:44]whole situation there it's a game changer right before the confrontation suddenly
[20:50]prophet isa alaihissalam descends down to earth in palestine allah sends prophet
[21:02]jesus in palestine in jerusalem and he addresses the christian world the
[21:08]non-muslim world who had gathered there to fight the magdeen he signals
[21:11]to them that i am jesus son of mary he will present
[21:16]them signs to demonstrate that he is jesus and everyone will believe
[21:20]that he will be jesus then everyone's watching well what's happening is
[21:28]jesus here to fight the mahdi supporting these non-muslim armies what is
[21:33]he what is he doing here when jesus shocks the world by
[21:35]walking towards the mahdi he embraces the mahdi at the time of
[21:44]salah at the time of salah and imam and mahdi tells jesus
[21:47]come forward it's the time of saddam out of politeness and imam
[21:53]al-mahdi tells jesus will you lead the prayer at that point jesus
[21:57]says no you lead the prayer because you have a greater right
[22:02]to this so imam and mahdi prays and jesus prays behind him
[22:06]when the christian world sees this gesture most of them joined prophet
[22:14]isa alaihissalam in supporting the mahdi imam al-mahdi alaihi islam is leading
[22:16]prayer and jesus alaihis-salam is also praying it again raises the question
[22:24]of divinity because again it raises the question as to whom is
[22:27]he praying to if he's praying behind a muslim figure it again
[22:32]shows that he has given allegiance to the inheritor of islam the
[22:38]muhammadan religion then when he breaks the cross it doesn't mean that
[22:43]he'll go around breaking every single cross he will lead that movement
[22:47]to state i wasn't crucified in this way therefore if you break
[22:53]the centrality of a his godhood and be the cross forgive my
[23:01]um very forthcoming statement what is left in christianity the centrality of
[23:06]its pillars of the trinity trinity and his crucifixion are gone that
[23:12]is taken away it leaves a huge void in the whole concept
[23:16]of christianity altogether and it requires them to rethink the whole notion
[23:21]of god prophethood and the role of jesus christ the ascension of
[23:25]jesus christ represents a pivotal moment in the uprising of the imam
[23:29]his return is an extension of the concept known as the raja
[23:33]the raj ao refers to the return of a group of people
[23:38]back to this life prior to the day of resurrection allah will
[23:42]permit selected individuals the enemies of justice and perpetrators of oppression as
[23:47]well as those who fought for truth and suffered at the hands
[23:52]of injustice to rise from their graves to be witness to the
[23:54]promised justice that will prevail under the divine authority of the mahdi
[23:59]imam jafra sadiq verifies this notion in chapter 23 verse 87 of
[24:05]the quran which says and on the day when we will gather
[24:11]from every nation a party from amongst those who rejected our communications
[24:14]then they shall be formed into groups contrary to popular belief narrations
[24:23]from all schools of thought mention the arrival of the danjal after
[24:27]the return of the mahdi though the literature often depicts the dajjal
[24:33]as a physical figure contemporary scholars are of the belief that the
[24:37]dajjal refers to an ideology which will work in opposition to the
[24:40]movement of the mahdi is [Music] [Music] without doubt the mahdi will
[26:15]face both ideological and military opposition this includes this agile as well
[26:19]as many others for this reason the imam will be forced to
[26:23]launch a series of battles against those who try and sabotage his
[26:26]revolutionary mission the imam al-islam initially he will not rush to battle
[26:31]he will invite them he will address them he will speak to
[26:34]them he will show them the truth he will admonish them to
[26:41]stop you know their aggression but of course there will be some
[26:44]evil people who will insist on war and the imam al-salam at
[26:46]the end of the day will have to defend his global revolution
[26:49]so there will be a war now how will that war take
[26:56]place will it be using conventional old weapons such as the sword
[27:00]or will it be based on modern you know um technology when
[27:05]it comes to warfare scholars have two opinions over here one opinion
[27:13]of scholars is that the imam alaihissalam will resort to conventional warfare
[27:19]that will be the system in the world so it seems that
[27:24]you know modern technology when it comes to warfare will no longer
[27:31]be applicable and there is a reason for that the reason why
[27:34]the imam al-islam might according to this first opinion might go back
[27:38]to traditional methods of combat is because in the religion of islam
[27:45]the prophets and imams as instructed by god they're very sensitive about
[27:52]casualties they don't want any you know civilian casualties if you look
[27:58]at modern warfare today right a bomb could explode and you could
[28:02]have hundreds of innocent people getting killed in war one nuclear bomb
[28:08]could obliterate and kill a hundred thousand people like we saw in
[28:14]japan right in hiroshima and nagasaki now the imam al-islam does not
[28:18]want that only those enemies who have come come to kill him
[28:22]only those evil ones who deserve to be you know battled the
[28:29]imam al-islam to battle them well you can only do that using
[28:32]conventional ways where it's one-on-one combat you know exactly who your target
[28:39]is and you know exactly that no child no woman no civilian
[28:43]is being targeted here that can only happen in conventional traditional old
[28:50]uh warfare in in modern warfare that's very difficult to control your
[28:57]target uh especially you know in in what we see today but
[29:00]the second opinion of scholars um you know they believe that while
[29:08]the hadiths do talk about you know the sword as being the
[29:11]weapon however that's symbolic because at the time the symbol of weaponry
[29:17]was the sword so when they were when the imams peace be
[29:21]upon them mention the sword they do not necessarily literally mean the
[29:27]sword they mean just you know whatever will be the common method
[29:33]of warfare at the time this will be used by the imam
[29:35]and technology by the way is advancing such that you could control
[29:41]your target maybe one day we'll see you know a type of
[29:45]bomb being discovered where you could actually control your target only one
[29:50]enemy one target is being impacted and if there are civilians in
[29:55]the area area they will not be impacted you know there's work
[29:59]on this this could happen one day and you know we could
[30:02]argue that the imam ali said i'm using very advanced technology could
[30:05]actually limit who his target is so that innocent people don't get
[30:10]killed the literature concerning the mahdi's arrival is explicit when describing the
[30:14]battles that he will fight one tradition from imam al-bakr states that
[30:19]there will be 13 cities and tribes whose people will wage war
[30:23]against the mahdi including the people of mecca syria and baswa unfortunately
[30:29]this has meant that some people have misconstrued the mahdi's mission labelling
[30:34]him a violent power grabbing warlord who will simply lead his army
[30:40]to kill those who refuse to join him but just how far
[30:43]is this a true depiction of the mission of the mahdi will
[30:46]he rise up and govern in a way which closely resembles the
[30:51]various other intolerant strands of islam that we see today will the
[30:55]mahdi rely on the sword to ensure islam prevails above all foreign
[31:32]unfortunately many in history have tried to depict a violent negative image
[31:40]of the savior of the mahdi with the intention of discouraging people
[31:46]from joining him so if you look at our hadith sources yes
[31:50]you will find narrations that claim the mahdi will come he will
[31:55]force you know the christians and the jews to convert and anyone
[32:00]who doesn't will be killed in fact even their pregnant woman their
[32:05]stomachs will be slashed and their fetus is killed we have these
[32:12]violent claims unfortunately fabricated by some narrators however upon examining and analyzing
[32:22]these narrations we find that those narrators who narrated the majority of
[32:28]these hadiths are not trustworthy narrators for example we have about 50
[32:32]hadiths that give us this violent picture of the imam's government especially
[32:39]when dealing with non-muslims 30 of these hadiths are narrated by a
[32:43]by a person called muhammad ibn ali al-khufi muhammad ali al-khufi was
[32:52]known to be a fabricator and liar in fact al fadol ibn
[32:56]sha'daan one of the companions of imam he prays against muhammad ibn
[33:02]ali narkufi he curses him and he condemns him for his fabrications
[33:06]so when you have narrators like that who were known to be
[33:09]fabricators or liars we cannot trust these hadiths that they're narrating these
[33:19]hadiths contradict the other hadiths authentic sahih hadiths that confirm the mahdi
[33:25]will rule by the sunnah of the prophet his method will be
[33:30]the method of the prophet his method will be the method of
[33:32]imam ali peace be upon him he will continue that same legacy
[33:36]do we see the prophet in forcing anyone to convert no the
[33:42]holy quran is very clear that there is no compulsion in faith
[33:45]there were there were jews in medina the prophet made a treaty
[33:51]with them he actually signed a constitution with them i respect you
[33:55]you respect me don't harass us we won't harass you and those
[33:59]minorities lived peacefully with the prophet salallahu alaihi initially until they broke
[34:04]the treaty so we see the prophet never forced any christian or
[34:09]jew to convert to the religion of islam narration suggests that islam
[34:14]will prevail above all under the mahdi's reign where the religion of
[34:18]islam will become dominant does this mean the mahdi will force people
[34:23]to convert will people be threatened with death if they choose not
[34:27]to accept islam quran he will show the truth in such a
[35:11]clear way such that the majority of the world's population will naturally
[35:16]be attracted to his message see the reason why many people do
[35:21]not follow the truth is because they have not seen the clarity
[35:24]of the truth once something becomes very clear and visible for you
[35:29]you accept it today do you find anyone you know using old
[35:34]methods of lighting using an oil lamp or a candle to light
[35:39]their house no we use electricity well why is anyone forced to
[35:46]use electricity not really you're not physically forced but when you see
[35:50]electricity and the benefits of it and you compare it to a
[35:52]candle no sane person will you know resort to these old methods
[36:00]when you have more advanced methods right same concept applies to the
[36:07]imam when people see the beauty of his message when he calls
[36:10]to the oneness of god to the beautiful teachings of the quran
[36:14]to that global unified just government people will naturally follow him so
[36:21]it seems that the imam alayhi salaam will not need to force
[36:24]anyone to convert or to join him upon seeing his beautiful message
[36:31]people will naturally join yes those who will stand in the way
[36:35]of the imam who will take arms up against the imam to
[36:39]fight him the imam al-islam will confront them but as for him
[36:42]invading villages and forcing them to convert and join him this is
[36:48]not something that we accept there will be some religious minorities there
[36:53]will be some jews and christians who choose to stay as jews
[36:59]and christians the imam al-islam will make a treaty with them that
[37:02]they will observe the rights of others and their rights will be
[37:08]observed the hadith specifically states the imam will rule the christians according
[37:14]to the bible and he will rule the jews at the time
[37:17]who will stay jews and there will be of course a minority
[37:23]because most people will convert willingly he will deal with the jews
[37:28]according to their bible he will rule them according to their torah
[37:31]to their old testament due to the revival of the sharia the
[37:36]spread of justice and the overall progression of society the health and
[37:41]well-being among the people will improve the economy will flourish and the
[37:45]scientific and technological advancements would have surpassed the achievements of previous generations
[37:51]where advancements in science and technology degenerated the culture and morality of
[37:56]human society where unregulated capitalism and greed benefited the select few alone
[38:04]under the imam however society will achieve the loftiest moral goals and
[38:08]human perfections [Music] is foreign [Music] [Music] yes upon establishing his government
[41:01]will revive the teachings of the quran and the sharia of the
[41:05]religion of islam now many people misunderstand what sharia is they have
[41:10]this negative understanding this violent understanding of sharia basically means code of
[41:19]law every religion has a sharia judaism has its own sharia christianity
[41:23]has its own sharia islam has its own sharia sharia basically means
[41:29]the legal rulings the code of conduct you know the ten commandments
[41:34]in judaism that's their sharia you know when prophet muhammad commanded his
[41:40]people uh to avoid adultery to avoid stealing well that is part
[41:45]of their and it's also part of our sharia people have misunderstood
[41:48]sharia because of some evil practices of some backwards societies or some
[41:56]despotic governments that we see who are ruling in the name of
[42:02]islam when it comes to certain crimes yes you know an islamic
[42:06]law and a murderer someone who deliberately commits an act of murder
[42:10]and his family does not pardon him or the judge does not
[42:15]pardon him deserves a death penalty because that's how that's a deterrent
[42:19]that's how you deter people uh from coming committing acts of of
[42:25]murder in society by punishing those evil doors you're actually protecting people
[42:29]there is life in this system of retribution here [Music] [Music] foreign
[44:12][Music] we know that today the world is based on interest our
[44:26]banking sector is based on interest the mortgage is based on interest
[44:33]pretty much every financial aspect of our society is involving interest just
[44:39]as previous religions rejected interest and usury the whole religion of islam
[44:45]also rejects interest and usury because in reality while we all agree
[44:54]that an interest-based economic system does have its benefits but in the
[44:59]end it makes the rich richer and the poor poorer it allows
[45:05]for the poor to be exploited and it simply makes the rich
[45:10]richer how do you think uh those billionaires on wall street became
[45:13]so rich many of them are not really offering anything substantial to
[45:22]humanity it's because they're financial brokers they handle big financial transactions they
[45:27]charge interest they became billionaires many of them became billionaires not through
[45:34]hard work that helps humanity it's through interest charging interest you know
[45:40]in the religion of islam a farmer who toils the ground who
[45:46]goes through difficulty physical labor to provide you a healthy meal has
[45:53]a greater status in the eyes of god and his work is
[45:58]more valuable than someone who's big who's making billions on wall street
[46:02]because that type of work is genuine it's genuine work right so
[46:10]the imam alayhi salaam recognizes the imam alaihi islam that a system
[46:16]based on interest and usury is not healthy to the overall global
[46:20]population what [Music] is a [Music] the intellect of the people will
[48:08]be increased now how that happens is debatable among scholars some take
[48:13]it in a literal way where the imam alaihissalam will wipe his
[48:18]head his hand on the head of people as one hadith states
[48:22]and allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will complete their intellect and their morality
[48:27]the hadith states some scholars take this figuratively the imam alaihissalam through
[48:38]his system of education that he will present through his system of
[48:42]raising awareness that he will present the people will naturally through knowledge
[48:47]through education will achieve a high level of understanding and intellect such
[48:54]that they will accept the moral compass that imam and mahdi will
[48:58]introduce to society and they will uphold it so we will see
[49:02]uh morality in the uh government of the imam ali it will
[49:09]be a very moral society you will not see any acts of
[49:13]immorality being committed in public this will be something that the imam
[49:18]does not necessarily need to enforce or ban but people will be
[49:24]mature enough responsible enough to avoid any you know immoral scenes any
[49:29]immoral acts in society one hadith indicates that all the knowledge that
[50:21]god has ever revealed to humanity since the time of adam till
[50:28]the reappearance of the imam is 2 out of 27.
[50:34]so if you were to symbolically consider knowledge 27 parts science 27
[50:43]parts what humanity has achieved or will have achieved by that time
[50:46]is only 2 out of 27.
[50:48]the remaining 25 parts allah will reveal to the imam so it
[50:53]will be a highly scientific society based on science based on knowledge
[51:00]that is one dominant future in that society uh inshallah if allah
[51:03]gives us the life to experience that society one thing we can
[51:06]look forward to is the prevalence of science something that humans have
[51:13]never seen anything like i mean imagine with all our technology and
[51:18]advancements and breakthroughs it's less than two out of 27.
[51:23]the imam alayhi will uncover our scientific potential so that's from the
[51:34]scientific aspect from the social and security aspect society will be safe
[51:40]the hadith indicates a woman can travel all alone from iraq to
[51:48]syria feeling safe without anyone harassing her anyone disturbing her well that's
[51:54]not something that's applicable today or throughout history especially in those parts
[51:57]of the world right so there will be safety with the rule
[52:00]of the mahti mankind will be witnessing an era where order and
[52:05]security would have prevailed to a degree like never before it was
[52:08]sold the seed of hope in the hearts of mankind and removed
[52:13]the despair and hopelessness that had culminated following centuries of disorder confusion
[52:17]and corruption crime will have diminished to the extent that judicial punishments
[52:22]would no longer need to be carried out mankind will be living
[52:26]in a state of utopia and as narrations suggest all the inhabitants
[52:30]of the heavens and the earth will be pleased with the rule
[52:34]of the mahdi however like the imams who preceded him the rule
[52:39]of the mahdi will inevitably come to an end narration suggests he
[52:43]will govern for 70 years but this will culminate with his eventual
[52:54]martyrdom so we don't exactly know how long that will take um
[53:51]this is uh subject to the will of god because allah wa
[53:56]ta'ala has a contingent will factors can influence that whether it's 70
[54:02]years or 300 years that the imam will rule but it does
[54:05]appear that he will rule for a long time and in the
[54:09]end he will go back to his lord we do have a
[54:13]hadith that says every imam of ahmedabad will die either as a
[54:18]shaheed or poisoned so some scholars say this is also applicable to
[54:25]ali which might indicate he will somehow be martyred it will not
[54:37]be a natural death [Music] foreign [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] you
