[0:42]um on this day we send our condolences to our master the

[0:57]12th imam and today the day of ashura is reserved for the

[1:07]recital of the maktal the epic of ashura the story of what

[1:12]transpired on that day with imam hussain his family and his companions

[1:21]at the dawn of the tenth day of muharram imam hussain led

[1:25]his followers for the morning prayer then he wore his grandfather's armor

[1:31]and turban and put on his father's sword he then stood to

[1:36]address his followers starting with the praise of allah he said that

[1:50]you and i shall be killed today i therefore urge you to

[1:55]be strong and resilient in fighting then imam hussain began preparing for

[1:59]war and mobilized his army he made zuhair abdul qaim the commander

[2:04]of the right flank habib the commander of the left flank and

[2:11]his household at the center imam then gave the flag to his

[2:17]brother al-abbas the troops gathered in front of the tents where the

[2:21]women and children were housed the commander of the enemy army came

[2:26]with thirty thousand troops he made amrapnal hajjaj the commander of the

[2:32]right flank shim rab nadil josh and the commander of the left

[2:38]flank when imam hussain saw their gathering he raised his hands to

[2:42]the sky and prayed allah oh you are my trust in every

[3:21]sorrow my hope in every predicament my refuge in every ordeal how

[3:25]many a distress that weakens the heart makes the enemy rejoice when

[3:30]i entrusted it to you and resorted it to you out of

[3:34]preference of others you did not let me down you are the

[3:37]giver of every benefit and the ultimate source of every need then

[3:41]he mounted his horse and stood in front of them ready to

[3:46]speak he began by saying oh people track back my lineage to

[3:50]see who i am then look back and think to yourselves think

[3:53]about whether it is right for you think about whether it is

[3:59]right for you to violate my integrity am i not the son

[4:02]of your prophet's daughter am i not the son of your prophet's

[4:07]successor was not hamza the master of martyrs my father's uncle was

[4:11]not jaffar my uncle have you not heard the prophet's words concerning

[4:15]my brother and i hassan and hussain are the masters of the

[4:20]youth of paradise whether you believe in what i say or not

[4:23]even though it is the truth there are men among you that

[4:28]if you ask them they will tell you i speak the truth

[4:30]ask to tell you that they heard these words from the messenger

[4:39]of allah in favor of my brother and i submit to the

[4:44]authority of your kinsmen set face up they have never treated you

[4:50]wrongly imam hussain responded by god i will never give you my

[4:54]hand like a humiliated man nor will i flee like a slave

[5:02]imam hussain then raised his hands towards the sky and said allah

[5:22]foreign allah give them no rain afflict them with the barren years

[5:29]like the years of yusuf for they have labeled us as liars

[5:34]and let us down you are our lord we rely on you

[5:35]unto you we return then he began to plead for help and

[5:42]rescue when al-haribni azid heard his plea for help he went to

[5:47]um and asked him are you really going to fight this man

[5:49]omar replied yes by the almighty the kind of fighting in which

[5:55]heads will fall and arms will be cut off al-hur said are

[5:59]you not satisfied with what he has proposed to you omar replied

[6:02]if it was up to me i would accept his proposal but

[6:07]your master ibn ziyad has his orders stood in the middle of

[6:14]the battlefield and began to tremble and turn to him and said

[6:18]that i have never seen you like this in any situation and

[6:22]if someone asked me about the most courageous man in kufa i

[6:27]would have never chosen anyone else other than you al said on

[6:35]i am making a decision between paradise and hellfire and by allah

[6:41]i choose nothing over paradise even if it means my death he

[6:44]then gradually began to draw nearer to the camp of imam hussain

[6:48]and he was saying [Music] oh allah forgive me for i have

[7:03]struck terror into the hearts of the children of your prophet as

[7:06]soon as he reached the imam the imam asked him who he

[7:12]was appearing with tears in his eyes said my master i am

[7:14]the one that brought you to this land and prevented you from

[7:18]returning to where you came from the imam asked him he said

[7:22]are you al he said yes and is there any sort of

[7:29]forgiveness will god accept my repentance imam replied if you repent allah

[7:33]will forgive um at that point began to draw nearer to the

[7:38]camp of imam hussain and he ordered the flag bearer to move

[7:41]forward he then took an arrow placed it in his in his

[7:47]bow and released it in the direction of the imam's camp and

[7:50]he said bear witness for me with the emir that i was

[7:54]the first to shoot the arrows then followed like rain causing injuries

[7:58]among the companions of imam hussain imam hussain then said my companions

[8:11]rise to certain death may allah have mercy on you these arrows

[8:18]are the messengers of your enemies to you the companions waged a

[8:22]battle and fought for an hour when the dust settled there were

[8:25]50 dead when the imam saw this site he said wrath on

[8:57]the jews was great because they claimed he had a son and

[9:01]on the christians because they made him one of the trinity and

[9:04]on the people who were unanimous in the agreement to kill the

[9:07]son of their prophet's daughter by allah i am not giving i

[9:13]am not going to give up until i meet god drenched in

[9:17]my blood he then shouted [Music] is there no one who will

[9:28]come to our rescue is there no one who will protect the

[9:31]sanctity of the prophet's family when the woman heard his plea they

[9:36]began to weep one by one the companions of imam hussain asked

[9:42]for permission to enter the battlefield to fight the enemy bidding him

[9:46]farewell was one of the first of them he attacked the enemy

[9:51]troops killing over 40 of them when his horse was wounded he

[9:56]fought them on foot until he fell to the ground imam hussain

[10:02]rushed to him removed the blood and sand from his you are

[10:09]truly a free man just like your mother named you islam the

[10:14]servant of imam hussain was next he fought very bravely in the

[10:18]battlefield when he was badly wounded he called on the imam for

[10:24]help the imam came to him he embraced him for the last

[10:26]time islam smiled he thanked allah for granting him martyrdom and passed

[10:33]away muslim another companion of the imam assaulted the enemy and fought

[10:40]bravely at that moment along with his troops counter-attacked the enemy the

[10:45]camp of imam hussain when the two forces clashed and the dust

[10:47]settled muslim was found fallen but still alive imam hussain and habib

[10:55]rushed to him the imam said to him may allah have mercy

[11:02]on you habib said to him that i am so sorry to

[11:04]see you in this state and that if i wasn't absolutely sure

[11:07]that i would follow in your footsteps i would have asked me

[11:11]to give you your last will muslim said yes i do have

[11:16]one final request my request is that you take care of this

[11:23]man and he pointed to the imam sacrifice the last breath you

[11:26]have for him habib told him that you should rest assured that

[11:30]i will among those who remained alive at this stage was a

[11:35]christian man who was accompanied by his newly married by his wife

[11:40]that he was newly married to and his mother all of them

[11:44]had declared their islam before imam hussain on the way to karbala

[11:47]his mother urged him to do his best in the battlefield his

[11:51]wife did not want him to go because they were newlyweds nevertheless

[11:55]would have entered the battlefield killing some and wounding others after a

[12:01]while he returned to his mother and he asked her he said

[12:05]mother are you satisfied with me she replied to him i will

[12:10]never be satisfied until you are killed for the cause of imam

[12:13]hussain his wife stepped in and objected at that moment since they

[12:16]were newlyweds she said come back do not go back out into

[12:22]the battlefield his mother interrupted saying go back go back into the

[12:27]battlefield keep fighting and she was encouraging him imam saying encouraged him

[12:33]then he he went back into the battlefield and he began and

[12:38]he began he resumed his fighting until he killed 19 knights and

[12:41]another 20 of the infantry his fingers were then severed at that

[12:45]moment his wife carried a pole and rushed towards him saying she

[12:54]said do not return alive back to me what have turned to

[13:00]her he said what is the matter only some time ago you

[13:02]were urging me to stay back you were urging me not to

[13:07]go out into the battlefield his wife replied to him do not

[13:22]blame me for the cries of hussein or crushing my heart i

[13:27]saw him standing i saw him standing at the entrance of the

[13:31]tent saying guaca how little of supporters we have do not blame

[13:35]me and that his voice wounded my heart would have kept fighting

[13:41]until he lost both arms and was killed his wife walked towards

[13:44]his body and sat near his head wiping away the blood and

[13:49]saying congratulations for now you are guaranteed a place in heaven and

[13:54]i pray to the almighty to bestow it upon me to make

[13:56]me join you shimmer ibn yoshin who was around dispatched his servant

[14:02]to kill her he dealt a fatal blow to her head with

[14:04]a staff and she died immediately being the first lady to give

[14:08]her life for imam hussain after the noon prayers joan maula abidar

[14:14]the servant of abu dharr al-rifari approached imam hussain asking for permission

[14:19]to fight the imam told him that you do not need to

[14:23]fight and that you pursued us in in in good health and

[14:28]that now during the time of hardship you are free of our

[14:30]allegiance joan at that moment said at times of comfort i was

[14:36]with you how is it that in times of hardship i abandon

[14:41]you never that will not happen and i will fight with you

[14:43]until my blood mixes with yours joan entered and fought very bravely

[14:47]until he fell he called for the imam imam hussain wept over

[14:53]him he placed his cheeks on the cheeks of joan a gesture

[14:57]of love and honor once all the companions had passed away the

[15:01]family of imam hussain ali salaam got ready for battle the first

[15:07]to come was ali akbar imam hussain's oldest son according to narrations

[15:11]he was around 27 years old when ali asked for permission from

[15:15]his father imam hussain could not hold back his tears he looked

[15:20]over to omar and said um [Music] may allah believe you of

[15:59]your family the same way that you have bereaved me of mine

[16:01]may he send someone to kill you on your bed then he

[16:06]looked to the sky and said oh allah bear witness upon these

[16:09]people because the most similar youth to the prophet has come out

[16:13]to meet them o lord deprive them from the riches of the

[16:19]land divide them and bring your wrath upon them entered the battlefield

[16:24]killing tens of the troops and reciting [Music] safety his mother laila

[16:42]was inside of the tent she was looking to the face of

[16:47]imam hussain all of a sudden the facial expression of the imam

[16:51]began to change it changed to an expression of worry at that

[16:55]moment she became worried when she saw the expression she said has

[16:58]anything happened to my son he turned to her he said no

[17:02]he is still in the battlefield but a warrior has emerged from

[17:07]the other side and i am afraid for the safety of my

[17:09]son go back into the tent and pray for the return of

[17:14]your son for i had heard rasulullah my grandfather say that when

[17:18]a woman prays for her child that that prayer is answered so

[17:24]she went back into the tent she turned her head to the

[17:26]sky and she started to say yeah oh the one who removed

[17:38]the affliction from ayub oh the one who brought back yusuf to

[17:41]yahoo bring back my son for me and in a few moments

[17:45]due to the immense thirst that he felt and the pain from

[17:47]the scorching sun he came back to the camp asking his father

[17:53]for water imam hussain that he is thirstier than his son and

[18:02]he assured him that rasulullah will be the first to quench his

[18:08]thirst ali went back fighting with even greater fears it was as

[18:11]if his grandfather imam ali was in the battlefield finally murrah ibn

[18:16]munkat al-abdi approached him and dealt a blow to him causing him

[18:22]to fall from the horse the horse not being able to see

[18:24]because of the blood covering its eyes dragged ali towards the enemy

[18:29]camp the enemy the enemy troops started to strike him from every

[18:33]angle ali and akbar lastly cried out i now see my grandfather

[18:53]and he is giving me water from a cup that that has

[18:57]quenched my thirst and never again shall i be thirsty and there

[19:00]is a cup waiting for you imam hussain rushed to him seeing

[19:05]what is remaining from his son he placed his cheeks on the

[19:07]cheeks of his son life is not worth living anymore after you

[19:28]my son how dare they encroach on allah and violate the sanctity

[19:33]of the prophet alas it is hard on your grandfather and your

[19:37]grandfather that you call upon them for help which they cannot provide

[19:40]he then scooped a handful of his blood and threw it towards

[19:46]the sky not a single drop falling to the ground imam hussain

[19:48]then ordered the youth to come carry ali back to the camp

[19:54]the woman gathered around ali him being the first one to go

[19:57]out from the family they were weeping they were crying they were

[20:00]beating their chest imam hussain joined them in their lamentation after that

[20:06]the turn was now for the fourteen-year-old qasim the son of al-imam

[20:11]al-hassan imam hussain first refused to give him permission since qasim was

[20:17]the only remaining memory of his brother al-hassan al-qasam brought a letter

[20:23]to imam hussain which was from al-imam al-hasan urging him to allow

[20:27]his son to fight the letter had said that one day you

[20:38]will find yourself in hardship and in that moment come to the

[20:41]aid of your uncle hussain imam hussain then asked qasim if it

[20:56]is in your service and if it is in your protection then

[20:59]death to me is sweeter than honey imam hussain embraced the young

[21:04]boy they began to weep until they both fell to the floor

[21:09]after they got up it became time to prepare to send him

[21:11]to the battlefield he turned to his sister zainab he said he

[21:23]brought for him the turban he placed it on his head he

[21:28]gave him the armor and the sword and he sent him out

[21:32]into the battlefield al qasim this brave young man went out saying

[21:36][Music] he said if you do not know me know that i

[21:50]am the son of al-hassan i am the grandson of the prophet

[21:55]and i am the grandson of imam ali this hussain here is

[21:59]like a prisoner between people who have betrayed him he began to

[22:06]fight very bravely until the enemies started to look for a way

[22:09]to get to him one of the enemy soldiers said that by

[22:13]god i will bereave him and i will take him away from

[22:16]his uncle finally the opportunity presented itself because of the intensity of

[22:23]the battle one of the sandals slipped from the feet of al-qasim

[22:26]as he bent down to fix it hit him with the sword

[22:34]over his head imam hussain rushed to him crying over his body

[22:39]saying catalogue [Music] it is hard for me that you call upon

[22:56]me and i cannot help you and i cannot come to your

[22:57]aid you call but i cannot respond al-qasem was brought back to

[23:03]the tents they laid his body next to the body of ali

[23:06]imam hussain laid himself between the two bodies he would look left

[23:12]to the to to the body of akbar look right to the

[23:14]body of al-qasim and begin to weep and then he started to

[23:19]say allah do not lose count of these people and do not

[23:36]forgive them my cousins my family forbear in adversity and you will

[23:43]never see disgrace after today saw the death toll rising he stood

[23:48]up and ordered his brothers abdullah uthman and jaffar to enter the

[23:52]battlefield and fight one by one one by one his brothers fought

[23:58]and were killed it was now time for al-abbas himself to enter

[24:02]the battlefield he came to his brother imam hussain seeking permission to

[24:07]fight imam hussain did not want to lose him he was his

[24:10]protector he was his standard bearer he provided a sense of security

[24:14]to the woman folk a sense of comfort tears filled the eyes

[24:19]of imam hussain oh brother imam hussain said you are the bearer

[24:22]of my flag if you die my entire army will collapse and

[24:28]my enemies will rejoice al-abbas replied i am tired of these hypocrites

[24:32]i cannot stand stand the sounds of the children crying out of

[24:36]thirst their cries we are thirsty we are thirsty are killing me

[24:41]i want to seek my revenge when imam hussain saw that al-abbas

[24:48]was adamant about fighting he said my brother go and seek some

[24:52]water for these children and abbas immediately mounted his horse he took

[24:57]the water container and he headed towards the river cutting through the

[25:03]enemy lines he was surrounded by about four thousand troops who aimed

[25:07]at him with his arrows but he did not fear their multitudes

[25:12]he was dodging them the standard was hoisted over his head he

[25:15]started attacking them causing them to flee in front of him and

[25:21]finally he managed to reach the water at the river with fortitude

[25:26]as soon as he reached the river he grabbed a handful of

[25:29]water to drink he felt the coolness of that water hussain he

[25:35]remembered the thirst of his brother alibaba says was like a burning

[25:51]piece of charcoal this is how thirsty he was but he remembered

[25:53]the thirst of his brother he dropped the water immediately he could

[25:57]not drink while the imam and the children were thirsty he began

[26:03]to say yeah [Music] hussain [Music] [Music] how could you get yourself

[26:22]to drink the cold water and enjoy it while your brother and

[26:25]while the children are thirsty he let go of that water the

[26:29]very thing that would give him strength to fight he let go

[26:33]of for the sake of his brother for the sake of his

[26:34]children he understood what his mission was so he began to fill

[26:39]the water container he tied it he mounted his horse and he

[26:44]began to head towards the camp all of a sudden um turned

[26:50]to them he said do you know what will happen if water

[26:54]reaches the camp of hussein surround him do not allow him to

[26:56]deliver that water so the enemy troops surrounded him from every direction

[27:02]trying to block him they tried to attack him face to face

[27:07]but they could not this is where they hatched a plan to

[27:11]hide behind the palm trees and come out when he least expected

[27:14]it zaydev both of them hiding behind trees waiting for al abbas

[27:21]to approach all of a sudden zayd came out and struck al-abbas

[27:26]on his right arm immediately severing it al-abbas began to recite [Music]

[27:42]if you strike off my right arm i will continue to protect

[27:47]those around me i will never give up on my mission he

[27:52]then grabbed the container with his left arm until another one came

[27:55]out from behind a palm tree and struck his left arm severing

[27:59]it al abbas began to say [Music] even though they have struck

[28:16]both of your arms do not be afraid to continue to fight

[28:20]against them he managed at that moment to grab the water container

[28:24]was with his teeth staying without his two arms he began to

[28:28]sprint and run towards the camp of imam hussain he was hoping

[28:33]that he would have a chance to deliver some of that water

[28:36]but the enemy did not give him a chance they rained down

[28:41]on him with arrows one arrow struck him in his eye one

[28:45]another one struck the water container causing it to drop another arrow

[28:50]pierced through his chest and abbas fell to the floor at that

[28:56]moment he was hopeless with the container fallen and the water spilling

[29:00]from it al abbas lost all hope and he stopped moving towards

[29:03]the camp of the imam instead he remained in his spot all

[29:08]of a sudden one of the wicked troops struck him with a

[29:12]pole on his head causing him to fall onto the ground he

[29:15]began to call imam hussain for help my brother come to the

[29:25]rescue of your brother imam hussain alaihissalam rushed to him when the

[29:30]enemy soldier saw the imam rushing they began to flee he turned

[29:33]to them the imam he said where are you fleeing to now

[29:45]that you have broken my back where are you fleeing now that

[29:48]you have killed the son of my father imam hussain rushed to

[29:53]him causing them to flee when he approached him he first saw

[29:57]the water container with the water spilling then he saw the flag

[29:59]on the ground then he saw the two arms of al-abbas scattered

[30:05]on the battlefield and abbas was laying on the ground one arrow

[30:09]embedded in his eye another arrow embedded in his chest imam hussain

[30:14]could not control himself he cried immensely saying [Music] my dear brother

[30:28]my dear brother your death has broken my back and now my

[30:34]enemy is rejoicing now my enemy is rejoicing they are happy over

[30:37]your death oh abbas now that you are gone there is no

[30:41]one to support me any longer who will safeguard the daughters of

[30:46]rasulullah after you imam hussain urged al-abbas to get up so that

[30:50]he can take him back to the camp al-abbas refused he had

[30:56]promised the children to get them water he could not go back

[31:01]empty-handed after a few moments imam hussain was seen walking back to

[31:04]the camp all alone he was down-hearted sorrowful hopeless and weeping wiping

[31:10]his tears with his sleeves imam hussain came back to the camp

[31:16]as he returned so caina approached him his daughter she began to

[31:20]ask about her uncle she was hoping that perhaps some water was

[31:23]brought back he told her that he had been killed zainab overheard

[31:29]him ladies aneb and she began to scream oh abbas what a

[31:33]loss the woman started crying and hussain joined them saying [Music] after

[31:42]the death of al-abbas imam hussain was left without any supporters he

[31:46]looked around he saw nothing but dead bodies around him he began

[31:52]to call out is there no one to come to our aid

[32:11]is there no one to come to our rescue is there not

[32:13]one person who fears god is there not worse one person who

[32:17]can protect us at that moment imam hussain alaihissalam began to say

[32:24]his final farewell but at that moment his sister lady zainab brought

[32:28]to him his infant abdullah the six month old the one who

[32:33]had not drank anything the one who had been weakened one of

[32:37]the innocent victims of that day lady zainab told him she said

[32:43]my brother before you go please ask these men for a few

[32:45]drops of water for this child this child is dying out of

[32:49]thirst he can no longer breathe he can no longer live he

[32:52]can no longer survive imam hussain took his son and he headed

[32:58]towards the enemy and he began to speak to the people he

[33:00]said oh people if you consider me a sinner if you consider

[33:04]me a transgression transgressor if you are here to punish me then

[33:09]i ask you with your conscience what is the sin and what

[33:15]is the transgression of this six-month-old baby he is not here to

[33:19]hurt anyone and at that moment the conscious of some of the

[33:21]soldiers began to awaken they began to look left and right seeing

[33:26]what to do at that moment noticing that this was a problem

[33:36]that he had to deal with he turned to harmalatta was one

[33:39]of those bloodthirsty people those bloodlusted people a heartless merciless soldier who

[33:44]was known for his expert aim in archery omar turned to him

[33:50]and said i want you to end the discussion of the people

[33:55]all of a sudden he loaded an arrow into his bow he

[34:01]waited for that proper moment that right moment imam hussain as he

[34:08]was holding his baby his six-month-old baby the cloth from his neck

[34:15]was removed it was pushed away by the wind saw his target

[34:19]he saw the neck of that infant he shot the arrow towards

[34:25]the infant and it landed in his neck as he felt the

[34:27]heat of the arrow he removed his arms from the from his

[34:32]cloth and began to move his arms he felt the heat of

[34:33]the arrow in his neck al-imam al-imam al-hussein took some of that

[34:40]blood he threw it up to the sky al-imam says that not

[34:45]one single drop came back and he was heard saying all of

[34:52]these tragedies are in the way of allah this is what makes

[34:56]it bearable for me says that not a single one not a

[35:03]single drop came back imam hussain some reports tell us that he

[35:09]took the baby back to the family some say that he took

[35:13]the baby and he buried the baby himself as he was there

[35:15]weeping he began to hear a voice do not worry about him

[35:27]for he has a nurse who was waiting for him in paradise

[35:30]at that moment imam hussain looked hopeless to live he was sorrowful

[35:37]but determined to meet his lord he knew that he was about

[35:42]to face martyrdom he came back to his family bidding them farewell

[35:44]for one last time [Music] is may peace be with you i

[36:15]am going away this is the final farewell and we shall meet

[36:18]in paradise be patient after my death for you have many tragedies

[36:22]awaiting for you then he asked for his horse lady zainab alaihissalam

[36:28]brought him his horse tears filling her eyes when imam hussain mounted

[36:34]his horse and began to head towards the battlefield he heard a

[36:39]faint voice calling him from behind he looked back to see that

[36:43]it was his sister ladies adam she asked him to come down

[36:47]from the horse one time she said to him there is one

[36:49]final thing that i need to do come down from your horse

[36:55]open your armor show me your neck she embraced him and she

[36:58]planted a kiss on his neck and his chest she then towards

[37:05]to medina she sent turns toward medina and she said um i

[37:12]have done as you have asked me to do imam hussain rode

[37:17]his force one last time and he charged the enemy and he

[37:20]began to recite anal ali therefore at that moment began to yell

[37:35]out the crown mind you go and attack him from every direction

[37:41]do you know whose father who is his father then they began

[37:43]to rain down upon him with arrows the soldiers cut him off

[37:47]of his camp he said to them [Music] [Music] he said to

[38:02]them oh people oh followers of abu sufyan what are you doing

[38:06]why are you attacking my family if you are truly free people

[38:09]then do not force yourselves to be in this situation shimmer replied

[38:13]what are you saying o son of fatima imam hussain replied i

[38:17]am the one who is fighting you and the women are not

[38:22]at fault so as long as i am alive forbid your insolent

[38:25]thugs from harassing my woman folk shimmer accepted that request whereupon the

[38:31]enemy soldiers targeted him a fierce fate a fierce fighting raged since

[38:37]he was thirsty he attacked the flank of the army which had

[38:41]sealed off the river he managed to disperse them and make his

[38:44]way to the river once he was near the water he extended

[38:49]his hand to drink a caller called out do you enjoy drinking

[38:52]water whilst the integrity of your family is being violated he let

[38:58]the water spill from his hands even though he was intensely thirsty

[39:01]he did not drink he returned to the direction of the tent

[39:05]and charged the enemy once again when um saw him approaching he

[39:11]ordered his soldiers to attack him from every direction one by one

[39:16]they met the imam the imam fighting them off fiercely after killing

[40:14]path of the messenger of allah o allah i am entrusting you

[40:18]and i am putting my patience with you he then raised his

[40:21]head to the sky and said oh allah you know very well

[40:26]that they are killing the grandson of the prophet and there is

[40:31]no other grandson beside him he pulled the arrow from his chest

[40:34]causing the blood to stream down he put his hand under his

[40:37]chest filling it with blood then he threw the blood towards the

[40:43]sky and said my only comfort in that which has befallen me

[40:49]is knowing it is in the way of allah he then filled

[40:54]his hand again with blood this time staining his hair and his

[40:56]beard he said i wish to meet allah and my grandfather drenched

[41:02]in my own blood imam hussain fatally wounded was left lying on

[41:06]the ground for for a considerable amount of time none of the

[41:10]soldiers had the boldness to come finish him the imam's horse started

[41:16]roaming around him staining his forehead and his nose with the imam's

[41:20]blood the horse kept on circling around the imam as if it

[41:22]was telling him to get up because the enemy was approaching al-imam

[41:29]al-baqarah was quoted as saying that the horse said [Music] um what

[41:34]an injustice has been done to the grandson of the prophet by

[41:39]his own nation the horse then headed towards the camp of imam

[41:42]hussain the woman heard the voice of the horse the sound of

[41:46]the horse thinking that imam hussain had come back thinking that the

[41:50]night had returned however they came out of their tents to see

[41:53]the horse without the night drenched in the blood of his master

[41:59]they began to beat their chest shouting yah hussain immediately rushed to

[42:04]the scene to see what is happening of her brother she saw

[42:07]the imam laying on the ground surrounded by the enemy ladies ain't

[42:12]up shouted yep muslim is there not a muslim among you have

[42:20]you not have you no mercy to see my brother in the

[42:23]state um his tears streaming down his face shouted to his his

[42:28]soldiers go down and bring him peace at the sound of that

[42:30]command shimra nidal joshen began to approach the imam at that moment

[42:38]shimra nadir joshen came to the imam he was surrounded one of

[42:43]the enemy soldiers began to stab the imam another one shimmer came

[42:47]and sat on his chest he kicked him he sat on his

[42:52]chest then he cursed the imam he cursed his father then he

[42:55]struck him on his head with his sword and then he removed

[43:01]his tiger he took a hold of the imam's head he lifted

[43:05]his dagger and he began to sever the head of the imam
