[8:49]my Zara in my trip to Iraq and Iran I went to

[8:54]the shrine of in where I grew for seven years I lived

[9:03]there for seven years and I used to visit her Shrine almost

[9:08]every day when I was there so it was a wonderful experience

[9:12]visiting the sister of IM and then from there I went to

[9:21]MH where I visited IM and it happened to be that we

[9:27]were there on the birth of Im so it was a wonderful

[9:29]experience and I prayed for all of you there I remembered you

[9:35]in my du and then to make the trip more exciting we

[9:39]flew from M and over there we visited and from there we

[9:51]went to to visit IM Hussein and it was a wonderful trip

[9:58]very short but I remember the community here in my prayers and

[10:05]you are all in my thoughts I was asked to speak last

[10:11]night very late and I decided to talk about September 11th since

[10:18]today is September 11th and of course later on we will discuss

[10:23]other topics that are relevant during this time September 11th 2001 was

[10:35]14 years ago and for many of us it's a part of

[10:38]history in college right now the students that are attending college many

[10:46]of them were in elementary school many of them were very young

[10:52]When September 11th took place 2001 and many do not have a

[10:59]memory of September 11th other than what they hear what they read

[11:02]and what they see being said in the news I was a

[11:08]little bit older I was in high school on the day of

[11:13]September 11th so I have a my memory is a little bit

[11:15]more than many of you here and it is a sad day

[11:22]it was a sad day in the history of the United States

[11:25]where over 3,000 people lost their lives 3,000 innocent people lost their

[11:35]lives to because of the act of a few terrorists that falsely

[11:39]represented the religion of Islam and they do not represent the religion

[11:44]of Islam they're very far from the religion of Islam and for

[11:48]many Americans this is what they know September 11th as as a

[11:53]day in history where 3,000 people lost their lives where the World

[11:57]Trade Center was attacked the Pentagon was ATT attacked and it's a

[12:01]day in history it's a part of the history books right now

[12:06]when students are studying The History of the United States this is

[12:11]what they read about but for many of us Muslims we see

[12:14]that we are still coping with the events of September 11th until

[12:21]today 14 years after the tragic event of September 11th we Muslims

[12:28]are still coping with it many Americans have forgotten about it many

[12:33]Americans have coped with it and they grew out of it it's

[12:38]done for them it's a part of history for them but for

[12:40]Muslims it's not history yet we Muslims unfortunately until today we are

[12:47]witnessing the aftermath of September 11th until today after the September 11th

[13:02]2001 arq was attacked and studies say that over a million people

[13:06]some studies say some say a little bit less a little bit

[13:09]more over a million people were killed after September 11th in Afghanistan

[13:16]I don't know how many hundred thousand how many thousand people were

[13:20]killed in Afghanistan and all over the world Muslims are dealing and

[13:28]coping with that tragic event until today and here in the United

[13:32]States as well yesterday I don't know if you all heard in

[13:38]Sterling Heights a group of Muslims that want to build a mosque

[13:43]a mosque where they invite people to the mercy of Allah subhanahu

[13:47]wa ta'ala a place of worship a place where people learn about

[13:56]the peaceful nature and peaceful life of mercy of where people learn

[14:05]about the Quran we see that a group of people they came

[14:08]and they stood against this project and they did not allow this

[14:14]project to to to start and they began associating Muslims with terrorism

[14:21]and Islam with acts of violence this is a something that is

[14:26]direct that we are witnessing as an effect of September 11th and

[14:33]very clear islamophobia that we are witnessing today some people say islamophobia

[14:37]doesn't exist just like any group of people are attacked sometimes Muslims

[14:45]are attacked sometimes but the events yesterday proved that no this is

[14:51]a an act of bigotry against Muslims just because they are Muslims

[14:56]and just because they want to practice their religion this decision that

[15:02]was made was an unamerican decision it's an unconstitutional decision this land

[15:10]it was founded the whole purpose the whole reason people came to

[15:14]the United States immigrants they came to the United States for what

[15:18]so that they could have the freedom to worship so that they

[15:21]could pray so that they can get closer to God we see

[15:29]that for Muslims it's something that is illegal or something that they

[15:35]are not allowed to do and this is something that is Injustice

[15:39]towards Muslims and this is a clear Act of islamophobia that we

[15:44]are witnessing today we Muslims we welcome any place of worship Islam

[15:52]as a religion the Quran is not against churches it's not against

[15:57]synagogues it's not against temples any place of worship that want that

[16:04]people want to build the religion of Islam is not against them

[16:08]one day he was traveling inq and he was with his companions

[16:15]one of his comp they passed by a church so one of

[16:20]his companions he said a comment he said for how long has

[16:26]Allah been disobeyed in this place because people have not been worshiping

[16:29]the way Muslims worship he tells him no why don't you say

[16:35]for how long has God been worshiped in this place this is

[16:42]a place that remembers God so we Muslims we say that if

[16:45]anyone were to come and build a church in our community a

[16:50]synagogue in our community we would welcome that because that would be

[16:54]a place that connects with God and we also ask the same

[16:57]we also ask that when we want a place to worship for

[17:02]our growing Community for our community that needs a place of worship

[17:05]we also ask for that to be available and nothing to come

[17:11]and no one to come in the way another very important Point

[17:18]while we are witnessing this clear Vivid islamophobia right in front of

[17:26]us how should we react I saw on the social media many

[17:30]Muslims they began attacking some groups of people they began attacking the

[17:36]calans they began attacking groups of Christians groups of Jews groups of

[17:42]you know different groups of people the religion of Islam teaches us

[17:48]not to attack anyone we should not attack because this is not

[17:56]the of the religion of Islam Allah subhana wa tala teaches us

[17:59]to be patient if our intentions are pure if we truly want

[18:10]to satisfy Allah subhah wa ta'ala if we want Allah to be

[18:15]satisfied with us then there should be no fear we should not

[18:17]be afraid of anything we should not be afraid of anyone this

[18:23]is what Allah says in the Quran in another verse Allah [Music]

[18:34]says the ones that say Allah is our Lord and then something

[18:42]very important there is many Muslims we just say we just say

[18:47]we believe and then if anything bad happens we go back we

[18:54]go complaining and crying and we're upset they stand for what they

[19:02]believe in they stand firm for what they believe in you know

[19:15]who will be their supporters the ones that say then they stand

[19:20]for what they believe in the angels are going to be their

[19:25]supporters Allah says the angels will help you in your daily activities

[19:32]you find challenges the angels will help you just like they helped

[19:36]just like they helped the Muslims when they needed help do not

[19:49]be afraid do not be [Music] sad and they give them black

[19:59]Tidings of the Heaven that they were promised Allah subhanahu waala teaches

[20:05]us in the Quran and from the life of this verse it's

[20:17]repeated twice in the Quran and the Quran does not say anything

[20:23]just for no reason Allah subhana wa tala does not say anything

[20:26]for no reason but this verse Allah says in with hardships comes

[20:35]ease and then Allah says it again with hardships comes ease someone

[20:40]might say that this verse is repeated twice in the Quran there's

[20:44]a mistake in the Quran but there's no mistake in the Allah

[20:48]subhana wa tala wants you to know Allah wants all of us

[20:50]to know that there will come times of hardship just like what

[20:56]the Muslims are facing today the islamophobia the attack against the religion

[21:01]of Islam the attacks against the Quran against however with hardships comes

[21:15]ease and when we look at the life of we see that

[21:18]he was the best example the the the Believers they are the

[21:28]best examples the Allah have an easy life didol Allah have it

[21:33]easy from day one with no problems at all no go and

[21:40]study the life of go and read about the challenges that went

[21:46]through just so that he can deliver us this message of Islam

[21:53]some would throw rocks at some days he would come home bleeding

[21:58]from head to toe sometimes he would go out they would throw

[22:06]trash at him sometimes they would curse him they called him a

[22:12]a poet they called him a they called him many names but

[22:21]nothing stopped him from holding on to his faith and holding on

[22:28]to this message and this my dear brothers and sisters this is

[22:32]what we should do we should look at as a role mod

[22:36]there will come times of difficulty Allah says in the Quran do

[22:45]I think that I could just say I believe in I'm a

[22:50]Muslim and I will not go through any challenges at all Allah

[22:53]says do people actually think that and then Allah says we tested

[23:01]the people that came before you and we will test you and

[23:06]the ones that come after you we all have a test my

[23:08]test I'm tested in one way maybe my grandparents were tested in

[23:14]one way my great grandparents were tested in one way my children

[23:17]will be tested we will all be tested however we have to

[23:24]see how we deal with that test are we prepared to deal

[23:29]with that test the most complete creation of Allah the best human

[23:35]being he was tested and he says no Prophet the prophets they

[23:45]had the most difficult tests and then says and my test was

[23:50]the most difficult out of all of the prophets of Allah subhana

[23:54]tala he had to leave his hometown alhamdulillah today no one is

[24:02]kicking us out of our town although we see how difficult it

[24:04]is for a group of people to leave their City to leave

[24:09]their country if you're watching the news today if you're watching the

[24:13]news these days it's very heartbreaking you see these groups of people

[24:17]thousands they have to all leave their cities they have to leave

[24:20]their countries I'm sure you all saw that child those two brothers

[24:29]that were washed up on the beach of turkey how sad is

[24:35]that we have to be very thankful that we are not losing

[24:40]the place that we are living we no one is kicking us

[24:44]out of our house yes we might find some challenges here and

[24:48]there because of September 11th and because of the attacks against Muslims

[24:53]verbal attacks or in the media but we have to be very

[24:56]thankful for what we have s Al he also had to leave

[25:02]his home he also had to leave his city after 13 years

[25:10]of delivering The Message of Islam delivering the message of to the

[25:15]people of Mecca after 13 years it became very difficult for him

[25:22]to live in his own City at the age of 53 it's

[25:23]very difficult for someone maybe for you the youth for some of

[25:29]us when we young it's very easy to pick up and leave

[25:33]you go you go somewhere but for someone who's been living for

[25:37]53 years in a city a city of his fathers and grandfathers

[25:40]suddenly he sees that life is too difficult in the city of

[25:45]mea he gets up and he leaves as he was leaving meca

[26:14]is the promise of Allah with hardships comes ease this is a

[26:26]and this is the same promise that Allah told he was living

[26:35]a time in meca where for 13 years no one was entering

[26:41]the religion of Islam probably a handful of people a handful of

[26:45]people one of them who I would like to mention later on

[26:49]in the speech is AB this great companion of Tomorrow marks the

[26:54]day of his the day of his death anniversary and and we

[27:00]should learn about this the life of this great companion of he

[27:04]was the fourth Muslim there were one or two every 10 days

[27:43]after the test that went through that difficult test Allah fulfilled his

[27:52]promise with him people began to join the religion of Islam after

[27:57]that difficult test so my dear brothers and sisters we find many

[28:02]challenges we find many verbal remarks hateful remarks against the religion of

[28:09]Islam you don't need to go far all you need to do

[28:13]is turn on the TV pick up a newspaper read a few

[28:16]tweets go on a few social media sites and you will see

[28:21]it very clearly right in front of you you don't need to

[28:24]go far however we have to be strong just like was strong

[28:28]we have to follow in the we have to follow we have

[28:44]to follow the and this is what this is what Allah tells

[28:47]us in the Quran oh you people who believe have in Allah

[28:57]and be with the truthful be with the truthful who are the

[29:02]truthful and this verse the truthful and His holy household who we

[29:15]should look at them in every challenge in every aspect of our

[29:19]life we should look at when it comes to family I should

[29:23]look at when it comes to when it comes to business I

[29:27]should look at what was a successful businessman when it comes to

[29:34]ethics and morality when it comes to dealing with people and Society

[29:38]look at be with the truthful Allah says in the Quran follow

[29:47]the good character of you know what how did bring so many

[29:53]people to the religion of Islam while many of them were attacking

[30:01]on a daily basis on a daily basis there were some that

[30:04]they had nothing to do other than throw rocks at other than

[30:09]throw trash at other than curse at because he came with a

[30:13]message with a system that changed their way of life they were

[30:18]used to selling idols and then taking interest out of that Idol

[30:22]came and he says say there's no God other than Allah their

[30:29]whole business was cl collapsing the people of Mecca andr people Mecca

[30:33]was always a city where people would come to do ha before

[30:36]the religion of Islam but that time people would come Abu sufyan

[30:43]and his family they would sell them a little a little Idol

[30:46]and they would tell them this is your God if you can't

[30:50]afford it go ahead we we'll take we'll lend you money and

[30:52]then we'll take interest from you he came and he changed that

[30:57]whole system so the message that brought it was not just a

[31:01]me a religion for them it changed their whole life it changed

[31:06]everything that they believed in everything that they have been practicing but

[31:13]he was successful although they attacked him but it was because of

[31:19]his it was because of his morality and this is what we

[31:21]should do my dear brothers and sisters I see people sometimes when

[31:27]someone is attacking Muslims on social social media when someone is doing

[31:32]something negative towards Muslims on social media I see some they come

[31:36]and they want to show their muscles on the social media of

[31:38]course not in public and they come and they talk back they

[31:44]verbally assault that person that is assaulting them this is not going

[31:47]to do anything my dear brothers and sisters it's not going to

[31:49]get us anywhere it's just going to feed that argument that they

[31:55]have against Islam and the Muslims and Allah tells us exactly how

[31:58]we should react Allah says in the [Music] Quran the good deed

[32:06]is not equal to the bad deed repel evil with that which

[32:27]is good because that will turn a person who is an enemy

[32:31]into a into a very close friend and this is what he

[32:38]managed to turn enemies people who were sworn enemies against him and

[32:44]against and against the Quran and against the religion of Islam and

[32:50]to very close friends they came and they would pray behind him

[32:53]and they would fight for him and they would sometimes give their

[32:57]lives for the sake of because of his because of his morality

[33:02]my dear brothers and sisters we have the best of role models

[33:08]we have the we have we have we have IM Hussein we

[33:16]have the let us look at their lives as Role Models I

[33:19]don't need to convert people to the religion of Islam by sitting

[33:23]and talking for hours about the religion of Islam all I need

[33:26]to do is practice the life of all I need to do

[33:30]is practice the ethics and the morality of and I will guide

[33:33]people to the religion of Islam that is all that we need

[33:38]to do my dear brothers and sisters have your ethics and your

[33:40]morality be like that of because this is what Allah says in

[34:00]this is what will help us overcome the difficulties and the challenges

[35:31]being honest with other people and when you're honest with yourself that

[42:11]would go and he would recite this verse in front of the
