[1:03]souls the enlightment of the hearts the acceptance of the deeds and

[1:07]for the hastening of the reappearance of atere Muhammad respected Scholars Elders

[1:24]sisters and brothers this Dua is amongst the quranic duas to understand

[1:39]a place where whereby most people are fearful of visiting yet need

[1:43]to appreciate and it's a part of the discussion that is needed

[1:50]for the success of people in this world and of course the

[1:54]duas in the Quran relating to J and Janam are ones that

[2:00]we find ourselves reciting from time to time in many supplications yet

[2:05]the Holy Quran does not ignore either Paradise or indeed hell you

[2:10]and I are driven by the need to be rewarded and are

[2:17]fearful of any punishment today you and I seek work we engage

[2:20]in activity in the world of Commerce in order to be paid

[2:25]in order to gain business likewise if there is a potential punishment

[2:30]for something that we are not supposed to do we stay away

[2:33]because we fear the repercussions of what we do Allah has created

[2:40]us and within our F and our nature we seek paradise and

[2:44]we distance ourselves away and we want protection from the chastisement of

[2:50]Hell there are those today who have come forward and said discussion

[2:54]regarding hell should not take place because you should not scare people

[2:59]you should only talk about good things because if you place fear

[3:06]in the hearts of people that will cause a negative relationship with

[3:11]Islam Dean practice there are others have said you should not discuss

[3:16]or they do not like to discuss the details of paradise and

[3:19]Jenna they say everybody knows about Jenna we must only focus on

[3:27]Janam because if we do not talk about the fear element people

[3:29]will do whatever they want and they will sin and disobey Allah

[3:32]subhana tala of course the Quran talks about jna and talks about

[3:39]Janam there's a need to look at both of them not one

[3:41]for example and the leaving of the other that's why you find

[3:48]for example in this particular regard [Music] emphasizes and there are a

[6:26]for those who constantly remember who are in discussion and recognizing what

[6:33]is in Jenna and what is indeed in Janam Quran says you

[6:36]as human beings you love business you love to enter into transactions

[8:13]and close to you Ya Allah you see in Dua what do

[8:19]we recite we recite says says I can probably tolerate hell but

[8:36]one thing I cannot tolerate is being far from you Ya Allah

[8:40]that is a realization of those who are have developed a strong

[8:42]connection with their lord what does the Quran say regarding Jenna very

[8:49]briefly because we don't want to focus today on it but just

[8:52]to touch on it the Quran says in Paradise there will be

[8:56]wine once I was discussing with somebody who has intoxication addiction he

[9:06]was drinking alcohol so he was telling me how do I stop

[9:09]I said if you stop for the sake of Allah Allah will

[9:13]give you wine in Paradise he said really said yeah he said

[9:16]how because I thought alcohol and wine is Haram how this doesn't

[9:23]make sense Quran comes forward in chapter 47 verse number 15 then

[9:29]he says there will be rivers of wine in Paradise the are

[9:41]youngsters Youth and others question if wine is so bad in dun

[9:46]why is Allah giving it to us in in so it must

[9:48]be good in D no this is not the alcohol that is

[9:53]intoxicant that we find in this world this is a special drink

[9:58]that has a specific purpose in parad what is the purpose according

[10:04]to somean says this drink in J purifies you to gain more

[10:12]and closeness to Allah it is a special drink not like the

[10:19]intoxicant that people drink here but the Quran uses here in reference

[10:23]to the idea that sometimes what does it do to the brain

[10:25]to the it stops the brain from working there what it does

[10:31]it strengthens it by making it what realize actualize be in the

[10:35]state of cognizance closer to the almighty subhah wa ta'ala and Allah

[10:40]knows best similarly what do we find in chapter 43 Verse 71

[11:06]talk about Paradise tell me what do you know about it they

[11:10]said there are rivers of honey and milk W most of them

[11:15]they start with this they say there are rivers of honey and

[11:17]milk I ask you you speak to youngsters and say there is

[11:21]a river of milk do do they get excited or honey they

[11:27]don't even have honey in this Dunya where it's available you tell

[11:30]them in J if you do your Salah and stay away from

[11:35]Allah will give you honey say honey here I'm not eating yes

[11:40]we have to understand the language we speak to our children I

[11:44]looked at them I said honey and milk Allah is using in

[11:48]the Quran as a metaphor for what was very expensive and delicious

[11:51]at that time they said you know Nutella chocolate spread I said

[11:56]you will have rivers of natala chocolate spread yes you you will

[12:01]have whatever you wish at the end of the day the idea

[12:03]in Jenna is you do not need to ask Quran does not

[13:07]and all of a sudden when they finish there's no boredom because

[13:11]there is no excrement there is no going to the bathroom in

[13:15]Jenna nothing so immediately the birds they will fly off and they

[13:19]will say men myly who's like me and the people of Jenna

[13:24]have eaten from me this is not a fairy tale it's not

[13:30]a movie it's it's reality Allah subhana T says the fruits of

[13:33]paradise people will see in front of them they will think it's

[13:36]the same Allah says when they see that pomegranates and grapes they

[13:46]say oh I had this yesterday Allah says no it will never

[13:48]be the same your taste today will be different to The Taste

[13:54]yesterday and the taste tomorrow every single day till forever you will

[13:58]taste something different Subhan Allah says what you have is limited what

[14:09]with is with Allah is infinite yes it is absolutely mindblowing yes

[14:13]and one of the greatest favors and blessings in jenah is the

[14:20]recognition that an individual is able to see those whom he has

[14:24]served and loved all his life namely the holy prophet and we

[14:35]have a that I remember one of our emphasized on and he

[14:40]recited in his lecture I heard it from his lecture and I

[14:46]then checked the re the says in J there is no day

[14:51]or night so there is no sun or moon he says but

[14:55]people in Jenna one time they begin to become very pleased because

[15:36]is beautiful yet when it says that means even that everything is

[15:40]beautiful when the people look at the holy 12th Imam they see

[15:43]beauty they have not seen before something that is truly magnificent yes

[15:50]hence the recognition is as much as we can we motivate and

[15:54]Inspire and support our children and ourselves with their remembrance of paradise

[16:00]but this is half the story of course and the Dua here

[16:05]that I'd like to focus is a Dua of in chapter 25ah

[16:09]and it's focusing on Janam now this discussion I'm about to talk

[16:17]about might dislike or the subject of dislike for some people some

[16:21]people may not like it why they say it's too graphic is

[16:28]too scary don't tell us things which make us scared tell us

[16:31]things which make us happy but the issue here is that the

[16:33]Quran has not neglected aspects in Janam and it has not neglected

[16:42]aspects in Paradise for example do the people of Janam have clothes

[16:46]what do they eat how does it look like the whole J

[16:52]how does it look like according to the Holy Quran and rat

[16:54]these are things that we need to know because you know sometimes

[16:58]we get fixated in something may Allah bless the soul of this

[17:01]great scholar sh in Islam lineing he says you know every time

[17:10]in Dua when you ask Allah in the last few nights in

[17:17]Dua in the nights of I'm sure most of us had shopping

[17:19]list in Ya Allah I want one two 3 4 five this

[17:26]this no problem excellent that's okay to3 he said how amazing instead

[17:30]of also in addition to asking Allah Ya Allah give me you

[17:35]say to him Ya Allah take away from me for example I

[17:38]have anger I have pride I have jealousy I have backbiting instead

[17:43]of saying yaah Allah please give me this money give me this

[17:46]health Ya Allah I have this bad thing in me take it

[17:50]away from me so instead of asking to give say please Ya

[17:53]Allah you take it away from me yes this sometimes is needed

[17:58]a balance in the way that we ask and supplicate likewise to

[18:01]appreciate Janam is of the utmost importance let's look at a few

[18:08]of the the Des scriptures of Janam found in the Quran why

[18:10]because when the Dua says Ya Allah please the chastisement of Hell

[18:18]deflect it from us remove it from us I as a Believer

[18:24]must also be always thinking about the repercussions of my actions I

[18:29]must recognize and understand that sins equal potential punishment and therefore I

[18:35]must not only think of jahanam as a place of fire and

[18:39]that's it I hate fire so I should stay the more details

[18:40]I know the more the deterrent it will be the more I

[18:45]will think about God forbid if I'm about to commit a sin

[18:47]because knowledge is empowerment if I have and about these things then

[18:55]I will be able to think and see beyond what most people

[18:58]can see isn't that young boy at the time of the holy

[19:02]prophet peace be upon him and his family when he woke up

[19:04]one day he came to the prophet and the prophet looked at

[19:08]him he says to him I see that you are what a

[19:14]bit pale today bit not yourself what is it the man says

[19:16]to the prophet today I've woken up with certainty the prophet said

[19:24]explain to people how today are you in certainty he said when

[19:27]I walk it's a as if I can see in front of

[19:33]me I can see paradise and when I walk I can also

[19:39]see Jam it's right in front of me I now can see

[19:43]it I visualize it I'm aware of the details of it right

[19:46]so the Dua is potentiated by of the details let's have a

[19:52]look very quickly what are some of the interesting details the Quran

[19:55]tells us for the next few minutes as we have a question

[20:00]and answer inshallah tonight just briefly to touch on some of the

[20:04]reminders for you and I the first thing is the worst punishment

[20:06]in jahanam is not Hell Fire if you ask people today hell

[20:16]what is the number one thing they say you burn that's not

[20:19]the number one punishment according to the Quran the number one punishment

[20:24]is psychological torment which is the feeling of being away from Allah

[20:31]and Allah not giving them or his Mercy in chapter 45:34 today

[20:39]Allah says I will forget you just like how you ignored day

[20:45]of judgment today I will not be interested in you the Quran

[21:01]as supported by the of say the individual God forbid and may

[21:05]Allah protect us all from the chastisement of Hell will feel the

[21:11]most devastating will feel so in pain when they realize that they

[21:16]are not receiving the of allaha more than the physical punishment that

[21:24]they will enjo question what are the situation regarding some of the

[21:32]physical places of paradise that of of hell that the Quran tells

[21:35]us Janam has a number of areas the Quran tells us about

[21:42]first there is s Allah says in chapter 74: 27 is an

[21:51]area where it is reserved primarily for those who don't do their

[21:55]prayers those who do not perform their Salah what are the descriptions

[22:03]of s in the world of Hadith we find in the of

[22:09]s complains to Allah I am too hot I want to breathe

[22:13]it's too hot here s says it's too hot so Allah gives

[22:20]it permission to breathe the moment it just breathes once it burns

[22:26]the rest of jahannam according to the r yes likewise we are

[22:35]told there is whale an area in Janam called whale for example

[22:41]yes the whale is what it is like a a place where

[22:48]it has many small holes that are filled with insects and snakes

[22:53]according to the R so when an individual walks they cannot but

[23:02]Place their feet in these pits and the moment they Place their

[23:06]feet in there the snakes according to the narrations are bigger than

[23:13]camels so immediately they are attacked it is not 1 minute 2

[23:17]minute 10 minutes 1 hour 5 years 1 billion years for those

[23:20]individuals they experience this on what on a continuous basis how about

[23:30]the levels of Janam says that Janam has what seven Gates however

[23:35]however Quran says the worst degree of Janam is what that the

[23:43]worst degree of Janam is for the Hypocrites is for those who

[23:51]are yes and you know just a note asteris and here I

[23:57]am saying this based on on the rat that we have in

[24:02]Sunni and Shia narrations that many times people have an objection of

[24:05]the stance that the school of a B has with regards to

[24:09]sahab certain Companions of the prophet of Islam and what they did

[24:12]after he left this world and how they turned against the prophet

[24:15]of Islam this is not just because of course this is the

[24:20]huge thing to attack the and to take their rights but because

[24:22]in Islam the state of NF and hypocrisy is amongst the one

[24:27]of the worst states of the human being yes why because a

[24:43]I practice Faith but in reality they are your number one enemy

[24:49]and so the recognition that emerges is inah Muslim it is mentioned

[25:11]of his well-known Companions and he will say to Allah they are

[25:17]my companions The Voice will come to the to the prophet you

[25:28]towards Janam that's that's what in the books of our own Brothers

[25:38]the recognition therefore is a state ofaf is not something to take

[25:43]lightly those who somehow proclaim the Oneness of Allah and the final

[25:48]messengership of the holy prophet yet they turn against everything that the

[25:52]prophet of Islam has bought to establish likewise people ask what about

[25:59]the clothes the food and the drink and we will end inshallah

[26:02]very quickly do the people of Janam wear clothes they eat and

[26:06]they drink yes it's very hard for us to imagine how people

[26:12]being punished 24 hours a day it's not 24 hours there's no

[26:14]24 it's all the time wear clothes and eat and drink but

[26:21]Subhan Allah wanted it like this but don't worry they are not

[26:28]wearing the silk and nice clothing Quran says that the clothes of

[26:40]the people of jahannam is made out of fire yes then another

[26:43]clothing that they will wear is called is something that combusts meaning

[26:51]it explodes every time they wear it it explodes every time and

[27:00]when it explodes it destroys the the body as well the body

[27:04]that has been specifically created in Janam not to die and by

[27:11]the way we have verses in the Quran that says the people

[27:14]of Janam beg to die they ask they beg Malik the angel

[27:26]of jahannam please let your lord Subhan Allah even Janam they don't

[27:31]say my Lord look at the kufur and and they have the

[27:33]disbelief in Janam they say your lord Malik let your lord finish

[27:39]us we don't want to live of course yes but this is

[27:41]not going to happen similarly tells us a very interesting situation the

[27:51]people of Janam will speak to the people of Jenna they will

[27:56]ask them please help us yes grant us what whatever you can

[28:06]give us just water anything Allah has given you but the people

[28:12]of Jenna will say Allah has made it haram for you yes

[28:15]because you cannot do so what is interesting is that one of

[28:20]the types of punishments that the people of uh Janam will experience

[28:24]is what is that they will be laughed at by the Believers

[28:30]so mocking and laughing in the day of is good in this

[28:33]world no for example Allah says Allah says on this day people

[28:43]who are believers Will Mock and laugh and ridicule the disbelievers they

[28:48]will ridicule them and Allah says that's fine it is what deserving

[28:52]for them to be ridiculed what about food here the Quran explains

[29:01]a number of foods one of them is what is what is

[29:03]according to verses in the Quran is something that is bitter foul

[29:06]smelling and very poisonous it doesn't add weight and it doesn't satisfy

[29:16]your hunger likewise another food of the people of hell they have

[29:20]to eat they are forced to eat so Allah makes them hungry

[29:23]but they cannot find anything except what and what what is this

[29:34]for me when I read it about 20 30 years ago when

[29:39]I was reflecting on it was the most I got affected is

[29:46]one's own P you know the body when it produces people start

[29:53]to eat it they start to eat their own liquid that is

[29:56]coming out of their own body that is is boiling the Quran

[30:01]says yes is not something that can be disputed likewise what other

[30:06]thing they eat according to verse chapter 44 verse 43 the other

[30:13]food in addition to that they will eat in addition to is

[30:21][Music] speaks about it a lot a lot in the sense that

[30:30]focuses on it it's a tree people are hungry they are running

[30:35]away they're wearing clothes that combusts they are eating their own flesh

[30:40]but they're not satisfied all of a sudden they see a tree

[30:44]the branches of the of the tree are like the heads of

[30:50]Shan yes the moment they want to come and take the food

[30:58]from this it is full of thorns they eat it all of

[31:00]a sudden as a result of immediately they eat it their body

[31:03]explodes and shuts into pieces but you know they will go back

[31:12]to it again and again and again and again yes and you

[31:15]think that they don't want drink Allah says yes it's like molten

[31:21]copper that boils in their bellies this is yes then there is

[31:26]what it's their drink hame is boiling unbearable liquid and the Quran

[31:36]says it's always poured over their heads always that not only their

[31:43]clothes not only their food but the drink that they drink is

[31:46]what is unbearable liquid but what does this liquid do it reacts

[31:55]with their face to the extent that their face becomes darkened and

[32:01]immediately what immediately burnt with water that burns the faces specifically so

[32:12]this hame that's poured over their heads that is the experience that

[32:16]they go through now I can see some people they are too

[32:20]shocked but that's the point that is the point you know why

[32:24]because we all of us except the holy 12th IM all of

[32:31]us have temptations and we fall into these Temptations meaning we forget

[32:37]we are absent minded we do not reflect we need these things

[32:43]for some people it works to fall in the traps of shatan

[32:45]I end with the story so inshallah we can take questions when

[32:50]I was in America a young boy came to me after a

[32:52]Maus and said shh I am 177 and he was just a

[33:01]student at school and he had just become one of the members

[33:03]of the school of a bit he just become sh and he

[33:08]said to me I have a problem because at school when I

[33:14]go to school in America there is a a girl in the

[33:20]school in the class and she comes she holds my hand she

[33:22]hugs me and you know I can't control myself so I also

[33:26]hugger so what is the solution I said to him you have

[33:34]tried he says I heard maalis about I have you know done

[33:41]but every time I fall in the same mistake I said okay

[33:43]this is what you've got to do are you ready he said

[33:46]okay what is it I said you go to the kistan cemetery

[33:50]said okay I can do said wait you go to an empty

[33:56]grave just one that has been dug okay and then I said

[34:01]you go inside he said what I said you go inside and

[34:07]lie there make sure no one covers you with soil yet but

[34:11]you go inside and you lie there and then you think with

[34:18]yourself the Mal are asking me why did I do what I

[34:20]did if you're able to un satisfactory then go back and do

[34:26]he came back a few days later he said I tried it

[34:30]now I am shaking when I see her I run away it

[34:33]works for some people but some people no they don't care they

[34:39]go lie there for 20 years they don't care but for many

[34:41]people the remembrance this is a prescription from the prophet says if

[34:47]you have too much Temptation and you fall into sin remember that

[34:51]which annihilates it you've got to shake your self you've got to

[34:56]put yourself in those difficult moments and you do this on a

[35:01]regular basis if you're struggling if you're struggling with falling into sin

[35:05]may Allah subhana wa tala help us all and protect us all

[35:07]from the chastisement of Hell may he subhana wa taala make us

[35:12]all with the in J may he subh waala grant us strength

[35:18]to say no to uh illegitimate desires and wrong actions may he

[35:21]subhana wa tala hasten their appearance of our 12th IM and make

[35:24]us of his devout and sincere followers alhamd muhamad
