[1:42][Music] Yeah.
[2:02][Music] Hussein.
[2:21]Hussein Hussein Hussein.
[2:36][Music] [Music] For the purification of the souls, the enlightenment of the
[3:08]hearts, the acceptance of the deeds, and for the hastening of the
[3:12]reappearance of the awaited savior Sharif.
[3:14]Enlighten your souls, the atmosphere with the recitation of salawat upon Muhammad
[3:21]Aliham.
[3:26]Respected elders, sisters and brothers, this is a powerful state desired specifically
[3:38]by believers but also every human being.
[3:43]It is needed and required for the success especially at challenging times
[3:52]and are magnificent tools to provide it and to achieve it.
[4:00]The connection to the almighty Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala doesn't only sound
[4:06]beautiful, but it's one of the most important objectives for every human
[4:11]being, but especially believers.
[4:14]When we look around the world today, there are many who ask
[4:18]the question, how do I connect to God?
[4:21]How do I become close to him?
[4:23]How do I feel his presence in my life?
[4:26]It's a question asked by men, women, young and old, Muslim and
[4:31]sometimes non-Muslim.
[4:34]The idea that emerges is it's a goal sought by many different
[4:40]people throughout generations.
[4:41]In fact, last year a center, a Shia center in London, Dar
[4:49]Islam, conducted a survey asking the Min and Minat what topics they
[4:53]would like discussed in Muharam.
[4:54]The number one response by 40% of the online participants in the
[5:03]survey was how do I connect with God?
[5:05]How do I enhance my relationship with Allah?
[5:07]Today when we look at the situation that you and I face,
[5:13]difficult circumstances that many of us are going through internationally, perhaps even
[5:20]personally when it comes to some of the trials and tribulations that
[5:23]you and I are facing.
[5:25]This is a pertinent question.
[5:28]This is an important realization.
[5:29]When I look at personally the number of questions I receive, alhamdulillah,
[5:34]I have provided at least 10 platforms for the mmin and around
[5:38]the world to contact me.
[5:42]On average, I get 1,200 questions a month.
[5:43]That's approximately 15,000 a year.
[5:48]And when I look at these questions, a reoccurring theme that seems
[5:53]to come up from different age groups is this.
[5:58]I feel distant with God.
[5:59]I don't feel Allah loves me.
[6:01]Why is he doing this to me?
[6:02]I feel a sense of disconnection.
[6:07]And this seems to be something that bothers people.
[6:09]Many people actually struggle with this.
[6:12]And the idea that emerges from this is that possibly we are
[6:18]going through a crisis of faith.
[6:20]There are people who are feeling that faith is no longer something
[6:24]that they can attach to.
[6:25]There are people who are unfortunately suffering as a result of this
[6:31]particular element and they ask why.
[6:33]What's going on?
[6:35]Help.
[6:36]I need support.
[6:36]I can't seem to understand what's happening around us.
[6:41]Last two weeks ago, I received a WhatsApp message from somebody who
[6:44]said to me, "I have completely lost hope in God.
[6:48]Why is it that the Shia of Ali are always being killed?
[6:51]Why is it that we see slaughtering and death everywhere?
[6:55]Whereas we do not find success, we do not find victory, we
[7:01]do not see support were killed, innocent people are being slaughtered.
[7:06]The realization therefore at the first level is what?
[7:10]Why is this taking place?
[7:11]What is the reason why some people are feeling disconnected with Allah?
[7:15]Number one, it could be socioultural reasons.
[7:18]Meaning what?
[7:20]Some of us in the west are facing a barrage of Islamophobia
[7:23]and the questioning of our practices and faiths.
[7:26]As a result of this, we're internalizing the what the challenge and
[7:33]putting a brave face to it.
[7:35]Whereas in reality inside there is a struggle.
[7:38]Meaning what?
[7:38]Somebody who is a non-Muslim comes to a Muslim at school and
[7:43]says to them, Islam believes in slavery.
[7:45]How is this possible?
[7:47]Slavery is wrong.
[7:47]How is it that the Quran speaks positively of slavery?
[7:51]All of a sudden there is what a problem in their mind.
[7:54]Somebody else come forward and say why is it that you cannot
[7:59]allow or in Islam it doesn't allow dating boyfriend girlfriend relationships.
[8:03]And when an individual is so engrossed in the society that they
[8:07]live in, they find it very hard.
[8:09]All of a sudden there is what?
[8:11]There is a problem that they cannot seemingly somehow be able to
[8:16]bring forth an idea to justify their faith with the external pressures
[8:24]that they're subjected with.
[8:25]Second reason why sometimes we feel distant from Allah or there is
[8:30]a disconnection is what is the drive towards materialism and the need
[8:35]to want and possess.
[8:38]Each and every one of us today may be suffering with an
[8:41]addiction and that is with dopamine.
[8:45]You see people yes scrolling for hours on social media, Instagram for
[8:54]example, constantly wanting gratification.
[8:57]You see others desperately wanting to keep up with other individuals in
[9:03]society, wanting to have as much as they possibly can.
[9:05]That drive to constantly want more and more is making people even
[9:13]more thirsty.
[9:11]Abd said it's like sea water.
[9:14]The more you drink it, the more you become thirsty.
[9:17]As a result, what are we doing?
[9:19]We're making ourselves distant from Allah because we have misidentified the objective
[9:25]and we are running towards the wrong direction and hence religion becomes
[9:31]a tickbox exercise.
[9:36]Meaning what?
[9:34]There are people go to Omrah Ramadan.
[9:38]Other times they come, it's just for the sake of it.
[9:42]They say, "You know what, brother?
[9:43]I don't feel anything.
[9:43]I don't feel that connection with Allah.
[9:46]I just feel like I'm sitting in a majam.
[9:50]I see everyone crying.
[9:52]I see everyone connecting.
[9:53]But for me, it's just a visit and a holiday.
[9:57]I don't see what's the big deal.
[10:00]and I can't seem to be able to have that strong bond.
[10:06]The third reason is identity crisis.
[10:09]The challenges regarding culture versus religion.
[10:11]There are some people today who come forward and are struggling to
[10:14]understand some cultural practices or some religious practices.
[10:18]And they'll come and say, you know what, I don't get this.
[10:20]Is this part of religion?
[10:23]Is this part of culture?
[10:24]And as a result, they begin to blame Islam.
[10:28]For example, there are those who go through what?
[10:32]Divorce as a result of being mistreated by either the husband or
[10:35]the wife.
[10:36]They come forward and they take off their hijab if they're a
[10:39]female.
[10:40]There are those who stop praying when what?
[10:42]When they're mistreated by a member of the community who is from
[10:45]the same madhab or is a Muslim.
[10:48]There are those who question Allah when what?
[10:51]When they cannot make sense of what's happening in their life.
[10:54]Therefore, as a result, there is what?
[10:56]there is a clash.
[10:58]Number four, the fourth possible reason why some people don't feel that
[11:02]bond, that spark, that connection with Allah is without a doubt the
[11:05]most important and that's what and that's when hardships and calamities strike
[11:10]when we can't make sense of it all.
[11:13]Why are these children being slaughtered in why isn't Allah stopping evil
[11:20]around the world?
[11:20]Why do we see suffering on a continuous basis?
[11:24]And as a result, therefore, when I cannot make sense and I
[11:28]cannot put two and two together, I begin to hear things and
[11:32]I come out with this particular conclusion.
[11:35]Then what?
[11:34]That I am not understanding how God operates and therefore I see
[11:43]myself distant.
[11:42]Therefore, there is a storm.
[11:45]It's simmering in the hearts and minds of people.
[11:49]You and I may be going through it.
[11:50]You may know some people who are actually going through it and
[11:56]it's a journey that must be undertaken.
[11:59]Why?
[11:57]That connection to Allah is the most important connection.
[12:02]Mark these words.
[12:02]You and I fix that connection to Allah.
[12:06]Allah will fix everything in our life.
[12:09]You and I work on this relationship.
[12:11]Everything will fall into place.
[12:14]But the problem that you and I have is perhaps we have
[12:20]not prioritized and made this important in our lives.
[12:25]The first thing to realize is Allah is on our side.
[12:28]He wants us to connect.
[12:32]He wants us to have that bond.
[12:33]He wants to us to restore that relationship, that love, that trust.
[12:37]Make no mistake about it.
[12:41]He will help us.
[12:41]As the hadith says, you and I take one step to Allah.
[12:45]He takes 10 steps towards you and I.
[12:48]Therefore, we're not doing this as a result of something that's incredibly
[12:53]difficult or incredibly not possible.
[12:55]It is something that you and I can indeed achieve, but we
[12:59]need help.
[13:00]We need support.
[13:02]There needs to be a spark in our lives.
[13:07]Something that ignites this.
[13:07]something that poses the question if I don't feel God's presence in
[13:11]my life and in my heart how do I start where do
[13:17]I look which inspiration shall I seek what a place is carbala
[13:27]what a day is and what a human being is Alhamdulillah forbul
[13:45]and alhamdulillah for these magnificent majus.
[13:49]You and I come to an important realization when it comes to
[13:56]these important gatherings and the remembrance of the grandson of the holy
[14:02]prophet.
[13:59]Often we're told on every important occasion there is a zara for
[14:08]do you agree there's a there's a zara there's a zara you
[14:16]go to there is a zus is inseparable for you and I
[14:19]and you and I know the reasons why because we have to
[14:25]live every single day of our lives the eighth of for many
[14:30]communities I see mistakenly they put on social media it's the end
[14:36]of morning it's the end of let it be said from the
[14:39]beginning that carbala lives with us every single day there is no
[14:45]day without carbala and hussein and the realization that we have to
[14:48]think about is this one of the reasons why there is emphasis
[14:52]and importance on the remembrance of Imam on a regular basis is
[14:58]this important objective connection to Allah.
[15:02]The zaras and the remembrance seek to take you and I from
[15:06]towards from doubt towards conviction because Hussein did not just fight and
[15:15]was martyed on a battlefield.
[15:20]He gave his life, his soul, his body, everything so that yin
[15:24]can be strengthened in the hearts of you and I.
[15:28]What do we mean?
[15:31]We recognize in Zara literature so many references that if we pay
[15:35]attention the objective becomes that these gatherings are seeking to strengthen what
[15:41]seeking to strengthen our faith.
[15:43]Help us if we're going through a crisis of what?
[15:47]Crisis of faith and connection to Allah subhana wa tala.
[15:52]For example, in one of the zaras of Abdah, what do we
[15:53]say?
[15:55]I hereby testify that I believe in you.
[15:58]Yes.
[15:59]In another part of the what do we say?
[16:03]That Idah I am seeking in you.
[16:08]Yes.
[16:09]That I am looking for that conviction through you.
[16:14]And therefore, Hussein Ali becomes the springboard for us to achieve that
[16:21]lofty objective of reigniting our connection and our relationship with Allah subhanahu
[16:28]wa ta'ala.
[16:27]You see Abdah stood alone on the plains of Karbala so that
[16:35]billions can stand strong and connect to Allahh.
[16:37]Hussein Ali he was an individual who what who taught us the
[16:46]importance of understanding and appreciating our lord and beginning that journey towards
[16:53]him and that's why he is the master of the university of
[16:55]which is indeed but here's the thing please understand this how many
[17:01]times we hear this phrase we wish we were with you for
[17:08]How many times we hear this idea that we wish we were
[17:12]in Kbala.
[17:14]I will show you now that being with Hussein is not enough.
[17:17]And there is a difference between being with Hussein and being Husseini.
[17:24]This is not easy to understand.
[17:28]But the next few minutes if you focus you'll see the difference
[17:30]with being with a mass and being what part of the teachings
[17:36]of the Masum.
[17:36]The holy prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam enters Mecca.
[17:45]Yeah.
[17:46]Ate after hijra conquest.
[17:47]There is what?
[17:50]Not a single drop of blood has been shed.
[17:52]All of a sudden some people around him come towards him and
[17:57]say today is the day of bloodshed.
[18:02]Today is the day of revenge.
[18:06]Today is the day of killing people.
[18:09]The prophet said no.
[18:10]Today is the day of mercy.
[18:14]Those people were next to the prophet.
[18:16]They were with the prophet.
[18:17]But they were not Muhammad.
[18:18]They had not understood the prophet.
[18:21]Amir is a when he's a safen, his army is deprived with
[18:26]water.
[18:26]You all know the story.
[18:27]When he's deprived with water, he charges.
[18:29]He gains access to the water.
[18:31]Now some of his companions come and say, "What are we going
[18:35]to do?" He says feed the army of Muawi.
[18:38]They say they did not give us water.
[18:41]Why are we giving them water?
[18:42]They were with Ali, but they were not Alawi.
[18:47]The only companions that we have a z for of the are
[18:54]the companions of Abdah because not only were they with Hussein, they
[18:59]were Husini.
[19:00]And this is characterized in every action that they performed.
[19:07]Notice you search all the makat literature.
[19:10]You will not find one of them complaining.
[19:11]Not one of them uttered in any shape or form anything that
[19:17]indicates discontent.
[19:16]Yeah, tomorrow we're few in number.
[19:19]Let's negotiate.
[19:20]Yeah.
[19:21]Hussein, why can't we do this?
[19:23]How about this?
[19:24]Not at all.
[19:24]They embraced the command of Aba Abdah and did so brilliantly in
[19:30]every sense of the word.
[19:32]Therefore, what I'd like to do is seek inspiration from say tonight
[19:36]in four ways, four gems from Abdah on how we can ignite
[19:43]and begin to have that connection with Allah subhana wa tala once
[19:47]again.
[19:48]And the fifth will be on another night regarding hardships, trials and
[19:54]calamities inshallah.
[19:56]But these four are designed to be inspired from the words statements
[20:01]duas of.
[20:10]It is narrated by that came forward one day and he addressed
[20:17]his companions and those around him and he said, "Oh people, oh
[20:32]people, Allah has not created all of his creation except for one
[20:38]reason and that for cognissance for how many times we've had this
[20:45]discussion and the idea of the of Allah the struggle today why
[20:52]some people have their duas unanswered why some people are complaining against
[20:54]Allah why some people don't feel any presence of god in their
[21:01]lives is because at the first level say who is the physician
[21:04]of the soul is telling you and I the problem is we
[21:09]have not understood god We have not appreciated Allah and have not
[21:14]begun the journey of now so many people here and those online
[21:19]watching are probably thinking oh no not again this is not for
[21:27]me it seems too complex it's only for the surely comes from
[21:31]the word it's only for the scholars and the mystics for me
[21:36]make it simple I don't know this for business.
[21:40]I want something easy.
[21:44]Yes.
[21:42]Don't give me two complex words.
[21:48]Make it simplified for me.
[21:49]The problem at the outset is if we do not conquer our
[21:56]fears and begin to appreciate what mifa is, then what?
[21:57]Then we will not be able to what?
[21:59]Appreciate God and have a presence of him in our lives.
[22:04]It is absolutely key and pivotal.
[22:06]Let me break it down very simply.
[22:08]The hadith that most of us have memorized is you have cognizance
[22:17]deep understanding of your nuffs.
[22:19]You will have an understanding which is good of your lord.
[22:22]Correct?
[22:23]when it comes to ourself very simply in order not to complicate
[22:28]matters very simply what is it that I need to work on
[22:33]so that I connect with Allah this is the innate nature that
[22:40]Allah subhana wa ta'ala has created me with this is the compass
[22:43]that points to Allah subhanaa tala this is a gift from Allah
[22:46]wa'ala that always points towards him now an individual who connects to
[22:55]God is driven but those who feel distant from God are shahad
[23:00]driven what's desire what needs Allah says I have created you and
[23:08]I will give you this but I will also give you the
[23:13]desire to what to look for certain pleasures you need that desire
[23:18]in order to live you need that but which one will superseding
[23:25]the other.
[23:27]If you are driven, you are on towards connecting with me.
[23:31]If you are driven, desired driven, then you are distant from me.
[23:45]In a beautiful hadith, he says, "If you want the furthest, the
[23:55]most distant servant from Allah is when their main concern is their
[24:02]stomach and their private part.
[24:03]That's what they're here for in this world.
[24:06]That's all that they wish to achieve." Yes.
[24:10]All they wish to do is seek those pleasures attained through eating
[24:16]and what and the idea of what?
[24:23]Of being with the opposite gender.
[24:26]That says when an individual is furthest away.
[24:27]In another narration, the holy sixth imaff was asked by somebody what
[24:39]happens if somebody lives in this world and all they care about
[24:44]is their stomach and their private parts.
[24:48]What they do with them?
[24:48]Imam Alisam said their worth in the eyes of Allah is what
[24:51]comes out of their back.
[24:54]That's their worth in the eyes of Allah.
[24:57]That's if they what are prioritizing this over their fraction here.
[25:05]I'd like to give you an example of two sets of people.
[25:08]One who are fra driven, one who are shahad driven.
[25:11]Put yourself in this situation and I will give you instructions from
[25:15]say how we can become driven.
[25:17]A group of people were told by the tyrant of their time,
[25:23]defeat this individual and I will make you the closest to me.
[25:28]The magicians of they came forward they said by the might and
[25:35]glory of Pharaoh we will succeed we will defeat Moses no problem
[25:39]when they came forward Moses displays not magic miracle they immediately recognize
[25:47]that moment of spark enlightenment drove them from being driven by their
[25:54]desires to get close towards towards what their they immediately thought using
[26:00]the and what their hearts that this cannot be magic.
[26:03]This has to be from a higher almighty absolute perfect being who
[26:09]is what who has sent this particular individual.
[26:11]Immediately they said straight away they didn't say hold on we need
[26:19]to discuss and come back to you tomorrow with an answer regarding
[26:25]this.
[26:23]As soon as they saw this miracle, they went into sag.
[26:27]As soon as they saw this, they believed in Allah subhana tala.
[26:34]No delay.
[26:32]Immediately they moved from being driven by their carnal desires towards what?
[26:39]Towards their compass within that innate nature.
[26:45]Allah says I have given you this particular blessing.
[26:49]There is a individual by the name of Samarund.
[26:53]This man was considered at that time and sadly even today by
[27:01]some individuals as a companion of the prophet of Islam.
[27:05]He had a house he had a tree in the house of
[27:06]one of the Ansaris.
[27:08]Ansaris those who are helpers of the holy prophet.
[27:10]So what happens is every time he wants to go and see
[27:15]this tree, he enters the house or the garden of this companion,
[27:17]the Ansar of the prophet and he doesn't ask permission.
[27:21]And so this man, the companion of the prophet said to him,
[27:25]"Oh Sam, I'd like you to knock, please.
[27:27]I have a family, my wife, my children, daughters.
[27:31]They're not wearing hijab.
[27:32]So when you want to come and see your tree in my
[27:36]house, knock and I will let you in." He says, "No, I'd
[27:38]like to come and see it whenever I wish.
[27:39]I will not knock.
[27:42]He asked him many many times.
[27:43]He did not respond positively.
[27:44]They went to the holy prophet.
[27:48]The man said to him, "Ya rasool Allah, this is a man
[27:49]who is doing this.
[27:50]What do I do?" The prophet looked at him and said, "Sam,
[27:52]is this true?" He said, "Yes, I have my own tree.
[27:56]This is in his house, but it's my tree.
[27:59]I could do whatever I want with it." The prophet said, "Very
[28:01]well, why don't you sell it to him?" He said, "No, I
[28:05]don't want to sell it." The prophet said, "Okay, if you sell
[28:12]this to him, I will guarantee Jenna for you." What would you
[28:16]say at that moment?
[28:17]What would you say?
[28:19]For a tree, I will get Jenna.
[28:21]No problem.
[28:22]Samur said, "No, not interested." Sahari Muslim, "No, I want my tree.
[28:30]I don't want anything.
[28:30]No ifs and buts." Yes.
[28:31]No ifs and buts.
[28:34]The prophet of Islam looked at the Ansar and said go and
[28:36]uproot this tree and throw it in the bin.
[28:40]We gave him a chance and now he doesn't want to take
[28:43]it.
[28:44]Now you and I sitting here saying ah that man is stupid.
[28:47]How can he be presented with an opportunity for Jenna and he
[28:50]refuses?
[28:51]How can Allah say to him do this and what?
[28:54]And he disobys the messenger of God.
[28:56]Today I ask you this question.
[28:57]How many times are in we we are in difficult situations and
[29:00]we refuse to do what Allah and his messenger have commanded us
[29:04]to do.
[29:05]A few years ago somebody called me.
[29:07]He said, "Brother, I have a relative who is what?
[29:09]Who is a non-Muslim?
[29:12]She is the mother of my wife.
[29:14]My wife is a Muslim.
[29:17]She but her mother is non-Muslim.
[29:18]She's put in her will.
[29:19]I want to be cremated, please." And now she's died.
[29:23]What do we do?
[29:24]I said, "Brother, it's haram.
[29:27]We are not allowed to cremate anyone Muslim or non-Muslim.
[29:29]It is not permissible for you to do this.
[29:33]He said, but Allah you know this butt kills us.
[29:38]When Allah and his messenger say something, where do we get the
[29:43]strength for the butt?
[29:43]Where where does it come from?
[29:45]This butt that I am starting to now argue with Allah.
[29:50]So what is his butt?
[29:50]We have to respect her wishes.
[29:53]She has asked for this.
[29:57]How can we not respect her wishes?
[29:59]Doesn't it?
[30:02]Somebody says, "Yes, after I die, I follow.
[30:03]Please give my organs to this and this." No, no, no.
[30:08]Not allowed.
[30:09]But you know, he asked many many similar examples.
[30:14]Yes, examples are plentiful.
[30:15]I said to him, when Allah and his messenger say something, there
[30:18]is no but and there is not respecting of any wishes.
[30:23]It's end of story.
[30:23]What did he do?
[30:25]Wallah he went and cremated her she from my own community.
[30:29]What happens that moment?
[30:33]That moment I am shahad driven.
[30:34]I am not fra driven.
[30:35]Don't be surprised if you and I are making those decisions know
[30:40]that we are far from God.
[30:42]Know that there is a struggle.
[30:43]There is a problem.
[30:45]Yes.
[30:46]And therefore the invitation that we are presented by by Imisam in
[30:52]this particular regard is what is work towards restoring and investing on
[30:59]our what on our one of the signs that Hussein had that
[31:03]they were driven is mentioned in the Quran.
[31:09]If you truly believe that you are you love Allah wish death.
[31:19]Now what is interesting is put yourself in this situation.
[31:25]You or anyone you know has been tested with what diagnosis of
[31:31]cancer?
[31:31]Doctor has told you you have four months to live, five months
[31:36]to live or early stages of cancer.
[31:38]There are two ways of dealing with this.
[31:41]There's the shahad driven and driven.
[31:43]shahad driven carnal desires.
[31:46]What am I supposed to do?
[31:48]I don't I can't believe it.
[31:48]Why is God doing this to me?
[31:53]I'm stressful.
[31:51]I don't know where to go next.
[31:55]I'm so sad.
[31:59]Is Allah is the owner of my body and my soul.
[32:05][Music] I submit to Allah.
[32:10]Whatever he wants, I accept.
[32:13]That's the difference.
[32:15]The realization emerges and that is Hussein when they were told that
[32:24]you will be martyed but you can go tomorrow all of you
[32:26]will attain shahada but I give you a chance to leave now
[32:32]because my is rescended.
[32:32]Hussein says to them they were driven.
[32:34]Why?
[32:35]They said we embrace death.
[32:36]This doesn't mean that an individual what works towards dying.
[32:41]No, when death comes towards them or there is a realization towards
[32:45]death they understand that what that it is not in their hands
[32:48]in the hands of Allahh and the question is are we ready
[32:56]for this or not and that's why the imisam goes on to
[33:00]explain the practical demonstration of what does it mean to have that
[33:04]focus on our innate nature the he says Allah has not created
[33:13]anyone except that they know him.
[33:15]If they begin to know him, they automatically will obey him.
[33:22]And when they obey him, that will suffice from them from the
[33:29]obedience of anyone else.
[33:32]Now here I imam is giving us the second gem.
[33:34]the recognition that emerges and that is if I want to connect
[33:40]with God I need to obey God.
[33:41]But please understand this and this is a pivotal moment in the
[33:44]discussion.
[33:45]I sometimes see people who are serving who are doing good deeds
[33:54]who are providing magnificent services or their is good they are praying
[33:59]they are giving and zakat and they complain and they say I
[34:02]don't feel God's presence in my heart.
[34:04]I don't feel Allah subhana wa ta'ala.
[34:06]I don't have a connection with him.
[34:09]How is this manifested?
[34:11]How do I now?
[34:13]Is there like a Wi-Fi bar?
[34:14]You know, when you're close to a modem, there's like five bars
[34:18]and there's four, three, right?
[34:19]Is there some kind of a a connection?
[34:22]Is there like a speed test I could do online?
[34:26]Connection with Allah?
[34:26]Yes, this is quite strong.
[34:29]Can I do that?
[34:28]Is it something like this or no?
[34:31]Here's the thing.
[34:34]We are told in the Quran that equals connection and hence you
[34:44]are close imbu was asked when is an individual closest to Allah.
[34:56]He says when they are in sag they are closest to Allah.
[35:04]In another narration the were asked when is somebody close to Allah?
[35:09]They were told when their stomach is empty meaning they're fasting.
[35:14]Both acts of obedience.
[35:20]Similarly what do we find?
[35:20]We find imbus [Applause] in another narration.
[35:30]He says the closest people to Allah on the day of judgment
[35:38]who are the ones who were quick to fulfill the needs of
[35:46]others.
[35:47]Here is an important question.
[35:49]I have a choice between serving others in or going for and
[35:57]focusing on my relationship with Allah and Abdullah.
[36:00]So I have a choice to be in the mo or no
[36:04]no no you know what I've been serving for many years.
[36:08]I don't feel that connection.
[36:09]Therefore I want to be what?
[36:11]I want to do my own zara this year and I don't
[36:14]want to serve.
[36:16]Which one is better?
[36:17]Here's the thing.
[36:19]Sometimes I am close to Allah and I have a connection with
[36:24]God but I don't know that I have.
[36:28]Sometimes I am there but I don't know if I'm there.
[36:33]And sometimes I feel I'm distant but I am actually close.
[36:38]So the message is very important.
[36:40]It is not always about how you feel.
[36:42]It's about what you do.
[36:45]And if that doing is sincere for the sake of Allah, then
[36:48]you are definitely close to Allah.
[36:51]Please understand this because many people struggle.
[36:54]They say, "I don't feel spirituality.
[36:56]I'm missing something in my life.
[36:58]But if you and I are obedient to Allah and are serving
[37:04]others, as I imam says, then we are there." So we are
[37:06]close to Allah even though we don't feel that we are close
[37:11]to Allah and this is very important becauseanan will come to you
[37:15]are doing everything right you are attending males you are trying your
[37:18]best but that feeling is not there and sometimes we have sparks
[37:23]isn't it sometimes we have moments in our lives yes that we
[37:26]feel it and sometimes we don't but shan will come to you
[37:31]and say listen what's the point there is no feeling and today
[37:33]we live in a world where everyone wants to feel a certain
[37:35]way.
[37:35]I have to feel it.
[37:38]I have to go through it emotionally.
[37:40]Sometimes we don't go through it emotionally.
[37:42]Sometimes I go for omrah and I don't have that connection.
[37:47]Amazing if you do.
[37:47]But it's not always possible.
[37:51]But the message is very clear.
[37:53]If you're not getting that feeling, it doesn't mean that you are
[37:57]distant from Allah.
[37:59]As long as you and I are doing the right thing, as
[38:00]long as you and I are trying hard.
[38:02]And one of the greatest manifestations of this, this obedience, this servitude
[38:12]to Allah that Im Alisam says after comes is salah.
[38:15]So a barometer of my connection with Allah has to be prayers.
[38:22]Question if you want to know whether you're close to Allah or
[38:24]not, ask yourself and put yourself in the test at moments of
[38:27]prayers.
[38:28]Do you look forward to it?
[38:33]Or do you say, "Oh my god, are you in love with
[38:36]it or are you in a state where you want to just
[38:40]complete it and get it out of the way?
[38:43]You rush towards it or is it a burden?" Salah is a
[38:47]barometer whether we like it or not.
[38:50]Some people say, "Okay, but there are many other things that can
[38:53]be tested." No, no.
[38:52]Salah to start off with is an indication of the connection and
[38:58]the rapport that we have with Allah subhana tala.
[39:02]That's why say is the key here.
[39:03]Why?
[39:04]On the 10th of Muaram if you and I were in a
[39:05]battle salah would be the last thing that we think about.
[39:08]When Imam is engaging in the battle, one of his companions says
[39:12]it's time for salah.
[39:16]He says, "You've remembered salah.
[39:17]Yes, it is time for it now.
[39:21]I confirm it's time for it." And there are shuada that gave
[39:23]their lives on the 10th of Muharam so that Hussein and his
[39:26]companions can pray.
[39:30]Why?
[39:30]Because Imam Ali wants you and I to understand my stance on
[39:35]the 10th of Mam, my connection to Allah is because of the
[39:38]salah.
[39:39]And if I am truly on the path of God, I will
[39:44]not forsake that important relationship with him established through salah.
[39:48]Because what is the meaning of salah in Arabic?
[39:52]How many times we pray, do I actually know what it means?
[39:57]It literally means connection.
[39:59]That's it.
[40:02]Salah is connection.
[40:04]And therefore, therefore, you and I, if I'm struggling with my faith,
[40:10]if there's a crisis of faith, there is what?
[40:12]There is a practical thing that I need to look at.
[40:14]And that's what and that's salah.
[40:16]on the eve of the the Sahabah the all those individuals spent
[40:25]the night in but specifically Quran and salah why that's the key
[40:30]to unlocking many important secrets hence in salah there is something special
[40:36]there is a beautiful that I'd like to share with you because
[40:40]Allah says not only salah gets you close to me there is
[40:45]a special thing you can do that Allah says says I will
[40:47]pull you towards me.
[40:49]What is it in this hadith which is found in Kafi also
[40:52]in Sunni narrations the holy prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam in the
[41:04]journey of he asks Allah he says ya Allah what is a
[41:12]believer in your eyes he saysham No one of my servants will
[41:25]get close to me better than if they obey me with what
[41:27]I have made obligatory upon them, what is wed upon them.
[41:34]And this is where the first challenge emerges.
[41:37]Because today we find the barrage of people who have problems with
[41:43]what is wajim and have issues with what is haram.
[41:48]And Allah says the first barometer is you're okay with it and
[41:53]you submit to it.
[41:53]But then he says it can go even more.
[41:56]It can become better.
[41:59]Then he says, "But that believer of mine can get close to
[42:05]me even further when they perform what is and recommended.
[42:11]Once they do that, then I will begin to love them.
[42:18]Once I love them, I become the ears that they listen with.
[42:27]And the eyes that they see with and the tongue that they
[42:36]speak with and the hands by which they function through it.
[42:44]When they supplicate to me, I answer them.
[42:46]When they ask me, I give them.
[42:51]Today I see a trend.
[42:55]I've seen this after traveling around the world and I see it
[43:00]when I meet different communities.
[43:02]Our elders may Allah bless them.
[43:09]They are sticking to the here.
[43:16]I met somebody two three days ago.
[43:17]He says every day I recite two and I gift it to
[43:22]any of the soul of the believers that passes away.
[43:25]every single day.
[43:26]But he was in his 60s.
[43:29]But our youngsters today, due to this crisis of faith, they're looking
[43:35]at us and saying, "You know what?
[43:37]You're lucky I'm praying.
[43:38]You're lucky.
[43:39]You're lucky I've got that hijab on.
[43:42]You're lucky that I say I'm a follower of this." Let alone
[43:47]going for supplementary and those things.
[43:51]And unfortunately maybe it's something that has been ignored and not focused
[43:56]upon because we are in such a desperation to keep our youth
[43:58]and our children performing their wajat.
[44:01]We have not focused and also encouraged the magnificent impact and the
[44:07]lifechanging results of to become an individual who adopts these actions in
[44:16]their lives.
[44:18]Yes.
[44:19]And we need to do that.
[44:20]Be role models and examplers as parents.
[44:23]Encourage this through love, not by force.
[44:26]There is no way that our youth and our children will adopt
[44:30]these if what?
[44:30]If there is a stick and if there's somebody who comes and
[44:35]coerces them.
[44:34]No, no, no, no.
[44:36]It's by doing it ourselves.
[44:37]Exemplary, but also by highlighting its importance and significance.
[44:42]Therefore, the second area that the Imam Ali highlights is what is
[44:48]unreserved and categorical obedience which is what then practically demonstrated through salah
[44:59]for example and must but here I'd like to highlight this one
[45:02]thing that is important for you and I one thing that we
[45:08]may miss is not only salah and fasting and zakat The other
[45:13]acts of obligation has this beautiful line.
[45:22]He says, "What do you and I you and I spend or
[45:27]how many hours do we spend in obedience of Allah every day?"
[45:30]Let's calculate.
[45:32]How long does the salah take?
[45:33]Once I asked this question, somebody said to me, "One minute." I
[45:37]said, "May Allah help you." One minute.
[45:43]Yes.
[45:41]Let's say 20 minutes 20 minutes and 10 seconds.
[45:50]The recognition that emerges is what is that?
[45:53]Let's say it's one hour a day of do you agree?
[45:57]One hour a day of let's say two hours if you recite
[46:03]Quran and two three hours.
[46:04]He says Allah subhana t comes forward and says you are not
[46:10]fulfilling objective of creation unless it's 24 hours.
[46:17]Your entire creation is for worship of me.
[46:20]So two or three hours is not enough.
[46:23]So what does this mean?
[46:25]Do I have to spend 24 hours in my prayer mat?
[46:28]No.
[46:28]Do I have to spend all the time in the masid?
[46:30]Not at all.
[46:32]What does it reflect when I have come to sleep and I'm
[46:37]about to sleep and I have my knee?
[46:38]This person hurt me in mosque yesterday.
[46:42]Tomorrow I'll destroy their life.
[46:43]That's not IAD.
[46:45]Yes.
[46:46]When I wake up in the morning and I see, for example,
[46:52]something that's not right and I scream at my spouse or use
[46:55]foul language, that's not.
[46:59]When I go to work and I'm sitting there and I'm scrolling
[47:03]on Instagram and there are these reels with music in the background,
[47:07]that's haram and I'm listening to it.
[47:12]That's not when I, for example, go towards what?
[47:15]When I go towards the supermarket and I am buying products and
[47:21]I see an offer, buy one get one free, no problem.
[47:26]But you know what?
[47:27]I start hoarding and I buy 10 of these and then they
[47:34]go off.
[47:31]That's not ibada.
[47:34]Yes, it's not ibada.
[47:35]The recognition that emerges is there are opportunities for you and I
[47:41]to stand up and be counted as servants of Allah.
[47:42]And that is what brings about that connection to Allahh.
[47:48]Those actions outside our normal designated ibada.
[47:50]That moments where whereby we are being tested by Allah subhana wa
[47:56]tala whether we know it or not.
[47:58]Because ibada is 24 hours a day 365 days a year.
[48:02]It is not only a certain number of hours.
[48:05]We must continuously be in the state of ibada.
[48:07]And I have to continuously be conscious and I need to be
[48:13]reminded.
[48:14]If I am then I am driven.
[48:15]If I am that will ignite a closer feeling of connection with
[48:20]Allah subhana tala because that is indeed tawa.
[48:22]That is feeling the presence of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala at all
[48:28]times everywhere I go in every sense of the word.
[48:30]Yes.
[48:31]And Imisam continues and he gives us the fourth.
[48:36]So what were they?
[48:36]The first is to have.
[48:39]The second is obedience.
[48:41]Third is salah.
[48:44]And the fourth very important gem from Abdah when it comes to
[48:48]this beautiful journey that you and I must undertake is what is
[48:55]what he displayed beautifully on the 10th of Mam but many times
[49:02]before which was what?
[49:03]Love.
[49:04]Love is a beautiful concept.
[49:07]How many times we've heard that you and I need to be
[49:10]loving Allah.
[49:12]We must love Allah.
[49:13]Allah says, "Okay, I'm going to give you a test." If you
[49:23]truly love Allah, then therefore follow me.
[49:26]Obey me.
[49:27]Who?
[49:28]The holy prophet.
[49:28]The prophet of Islam famously says, Hussein all of a sudden we
[49:38]come to an beautiful realization.
[49:39]Hussein is the station of the love of Allahh.
[49:43]Allah says in the Quran you must obey the prophet.
[49:47]The prophet says whoever loves me loves Hussein and Allah loves those
[49:50]who love Hussein.
[49:53]Therefore Hussein becomes the magnet that draws each and every one of
[49:56]us towards Allah subhana wa tala and indeed his love.
[50:00]But in order to understand you will not be able to appreciate
[50:03]what Abdah did on the 10th of Muaram fully except if you've
[50:06]understood what he says on the land of dua is the key
[50:13]to the 10th of Muhar in dua and I don't wish to
[50:18]go through it in detail tonight but I'll say this one thing
[50:20]IMI poses a number of questions he annihilates himself before Allah it's
[50:27]a journey of humility that leads leads to love.
[50:31]It's a journey of discovery that leads to what?
[50:35]Leads to connection.
[50:37]What does that mean?
[50:37]Immisam, he comes forward in this dua says, "Ya Allah, how can
[50:46]an eyes that do not see you be seeing?
[50:49]It's blind." Yes.
[50:50]And at the same time what does imam come forward and say
[50:54]a reminder for you and I which is absolutely critical in this
[50:57]particular discussion.
[51:00]Well he says he says I want happiness but the only way
[51:04]I can seek happiness is by knowing that you are watching me
[51:10]give me that sense of serenity that comes through love.
[51:16]My dear sisters and brothers, how do I go through this understanding
[51:19]of the love of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala?
[51:23]How do I begin to ignite this spark that I love him?
[51:28]I need to be pleased with him.
[51:32]I need to be happy with him.
[51:34]And this is where gives us the prescription that famous dua in
[51:39]which you and I must memorize.
[51:40]Make it an objective this muharam.
[51:43]Memorize this dua says what?
[51:50]It fills me with pride and honor that I am your servant.
[51:57]And it fills me with strength that you are my Lord.
[52:05]You are exactly how I want you to be.
[52:09]So make me how you want me to be.
[52:10]This dua gives us this important road map in order to attain
[52:18]the love of Allahh.
[52:17]But it comes back to the same objective.
[52:21]In order to love someone, I need to obey them.
[52:26]And if I unconditionally obey them, that's the best sign of what?
[52:32]Of my love towards them.
[52:33]And hence you find about Abdah Hussein's malis and remembrance is one
[52:38]of the best places to start this beautiful goal of feeling the
[52:47]presence of Allah in our lives.
[52:49]Do not make these 12 nights or these two months months and
[52:52]days and hours and moments without seeking that nourishment of the soul
[53:00]without seeking that proximity to Allah subhana wa t'ala and reigniting that
[53:05]connection to him.
[53:08]It is absolutely pivotal that these days and nights that we are
[53:15]privileged to take part are not indeed taken lightly because if you
[53:19]want to see love on the 10th of Muharam, see how Abdah
[53:23]speaks to his lord in that morning of the day of Ashur.
[53:26]How many of us have read the dua of Imam in the
[53:31]morning of the 10th?
[53:33]What did he say?
[53:33]Imagine you're surrounded by 30,000.
[53:35]You don't have water.
[53:38]his children screaming, "You are few in number and you'll know that
[53:41]you'll be slaughtered in a few hours.
[53:42]If you complain to him, perhaps some of us will." Not Hussein
[53:46]Ali, not the not the lover.
[53:47]He raises his hands and he says, "Allah, ya Allah, in every
[53:56]calamity and hardship, I turn towards you.
[53:58]How many times in my life you've saved me from hardship and
[54:01]difficulties, and therefore I trust you.
[54:03]whatever you wish should happen.
[54:06]This is whom I am and this is what the state of
[54:10]my heart is saying in that moment.
[54:12]And hence do not ever underestimate the impact and the change that
[54:18]could take place in these malis are special as says these malis
[54:28]are the extension from the shrine of shuada.
[54:33]He says, "I consider every person who attends a maj of Hussein
[54:39]of Hussein because they are what they are attending a service towards
[54:44]Abdah Hussein." Hey, I remember one of the from he says, "One
[54:52]day I went to give somewhere in Muar in a city in
[54:57]Iran.
[54:56]When I went there, they told me, "You must visit a man
[55:01]by the name of what?
[55:04]This individual who was a carpenter." Yes.
[55:07]This carpenter, his name is Masha.
[55:10]So I went to see him.
[55:13]I said to him, "You have a special blessing.
[55:16]You have a special story." He says, "Yes, I want my children
[55:20]to tell you." The children said no.
[55:21]The best person to say it is you because you are known
[55:25]in this city for what happened to you in this town.
[55:27]This mashallah says to he says I became tested by Allah with
[55:35]a disease with an illness and I became worse and worse until
[55:37]I went to hospital and they said to me there is no
[55:41]cure.
[55:41]You will die soon.
[55:41]Go back home be with your family and you will die within
[55:46]a short period of time.
[55:46]He said when I went back home everyone was crying.
[55:49]I was bidding farewell to everyone.
[55:50]All of a sudden, my mother came.
[55:53]She came next to me and her tears were in her eyes.
[55:56]She took out a handkerchief from her pocket and she said to
[56:00]me, "I would like to rub this handkerchief on you." He said,
[56:03]"What is it?" She said, "I was just in a maj of
[56:07]Hussein and I cried with this handkerchief.
[56:09]I believe in Aba Abdah." He said to her, "I believe too,
[56:12]but everyone has said I will die soon.
[56:15]So for the baraka do it, but I don't think nothing will
[56:20]happen.
[56:18]So she said, "Okay." And she placed this handkerchief on his face
[56:22]and on his body.
[56:23]He says, "Two or three days later." I was asleep.
[56:26]All of a sudden, I look next to me and there is
[56:31]somebody most beautiful person I've ever seen.
[56:32]I don't know who this person is.
[56:34]Looks at me and says, "Mashallah, the carpenter, what's wrong with you?"
[56:40]He says, "I have a disease.
[56:41]I have an illness.
[56:43]I cannot stand up.
[56:43]I cannot do anything and I will die very soon." He said,
[56:47]"Do you want me to help you?" He said, "No." He said,
[56:49]"Why?" He said, "Because I have asked Hussein and Hussein will help
[56:55]me." He said, "I am Abdullah.
[56:56]I am Hussein.
[56:59]Stand up." So he said, "I immediately woke up from my sleep
[57:02]and I thought, okay, is this real?" So I tried to stand
[57:07]up and I could stand up.
[57:08]I walked towards the courtyard of the house.
[57:11]I opened the the tap for water.
[57:13]I went inside where my family were gathered.
[57:16]They screamed in disbelief that I have been cured.
[57:21]I went where?
[57:23]I went towards the mosque.
[57:24]When I entered the mosque, they looked at me and said, "May
[57:27]Allah bless you.
[57:30]You look very similar to that person who was known as mashallah.
[57:33]He must be his brother or something because he's dying." He said,
[57:36]"I am the one." They said, "What happened?" He said that moment
[57:42]when I was speaking with Hussein I said to him Abdullah if
[57:46]you ask Allah for my cure I will perform malis in your
[57:51]honor every single year for 10 nights in my house I will
[57:56]do it and therefore he began to perform these malis every year
[58:00]he said but one year I did not have any money so
[58:04]I said yeah abdah forgive me this year I don't have any
[58:06]money to do a majus he said as soon as I said
[58:10]this a few minutes later someone knocked on the door opened I
[58:13]opened the door he gave me something he said mashallah this is
[58:18]for you because Hussein came to me in my dream and said
[58:20]give this man because my majus must continue the majus of Hussein
[58:27]is that spark that you and I need is that wonderful gift
[58:33]from the almighty subhanahu wa ta'ala and muharam is truly a blessing
[58:39]That's why it is the who wanted you and I to leave
[58:44]live leave live leave live leave live leave live leave live leave
[58:45]live leave live leave live leave live leave live live live live
[58:46]live live live live those moments together and to remember the sacrifice
[58:49]of the 10th of Muharam including the holy prophet of Islam who
[58:54]had a special relationship with Abdah I saw a narration that broke
[59:01]my heart it said that one day the holy prophet was sitting
[59:05]with with Im Hass and Hussein.
[59:10]It is narrated by that he said all of a sudden I
[59:17]saw the holy prophet cry profusely and we didn't know what to
[59:23]do.
[59:24]He just began to cry.
[59:24]And so none of us said anything.
[59:25]We just saw him cry.
[59:29]He said all of a sudden the young Hussein walked towards his
[59:33]grandfather.
[59:33]When he walked towards the holy prophet, he sat next to him.
[59:38]Allah, imagine.
[59:40]And then he asked for the head of the prophet.
[59:41]So the prophet knelt his head and Hussein placed the head of
[59:48]the prophet on his lap and began to stroke the holy prophet
[59:50]on his cheeks.
[59:52]Subhan Allah.
[59:53]And said to him, "Oh my grandfather, yasool Allah, why do you
[59:59]cry?" So the prophet said to him, "Yah, I have just been
[60:02]visited by an angel who told me how each and every one
[60:08]of you will be killed.
[60:08]And when he informed me how you will be slaughtered, I burst
[60:14]into tears." That's why Abdullah from those moments bidding farewell to his
[60:20]grandfather, he would remember this, wouldn't he?
[60:25]When he went towards the grave of his beloved prophet, he sat
[60:29]next to the grave.
[60:33]He began to recite the z.
[60:35]Then he placed his cheeks on the grave of Allah.
[60:37]All of a sudden he felt what a state of sleep.
[60:41]He went to sleep.
[60:43]When he was asleep, what happened?
[60:45]He saw the holy prophet.
[60:46]Imagine when you see Allah in your dream, what happens?
[60:51]The prophet of Islam looks at Imam and Hussein and said to
[60:55]him Hussein come towards me.
[60:58]Why?
[60:59]He wanted to hug him.
[60:59]So I im goes towards him.
[61:02]They both hug each other.
[61:03]But you know what Abdah said to him at that moment?
[61:07]He said to him, I don't want to go back to this.
[61:12]I don't want to return to this world.
[61:16]The prophet says to him, "It is the will of Allah that
[61:21]he sees you slaughtered." Yes.
[61:23]And that your family will be taken as captive.
[61:28]Abdah Hussein when he wakes up, he now goes towards where?
[61:30]He goes towards the grave of his mother.
[61:35]Imagine that moment of bidding farewell to your mother fat.
[61:40]He places his head also according to the poet he places his
[61:46]head to on the grave hidden grave of his beloved mother fat.
[61:48]Yes.
[61:49]And he cries and bits farewell to say.
[61:53]Here the poet depicts a beautiful description and a discussion between the
[61:59]plains of Medina and the plains of Carbala.
[62:03]It's as if Medina is speaking to the land of Hussein.
[62:10]Medina looks at Carbala and says, "Oh, Carbala, I felt the cheeks
[62:15]of Hussein on the grave of his mother.
[62:19]And I felt the tears of Hussein on the grave of Fatima."
[62:26]Oh, Carbala, what did you feel?
[62:32]Carbala said, "Oh, Medina, you felt the cheeks on the grave.
[62:36]I felt the hooves on the cheeks of Hussein.
[62:42]I felt the crushing of the ribs of Hussein.
[62:48]Oh, oh, Medina, tell me what did you see?
[62:54]What did you witness?
[62:58]Medina says, I ask you, I saw the moment they attacked the
[63:04]house of Zah.
[63:04]I saw the house being set on fire.
[63:10]I felt the fire on the house of Zah.
[63:10]Carbala says, Medina, stop.
[63:14]You felt the fire in the house of Fatima.
[63:19]I felt the fire in the tents of Zena.
[63:21]Medina, what else did you see?
[63:25]I saw the man push the door on.
[63:30]I heard the cries of Fatima.
[63:36]Father, father, the nail has broken my ribs.
[63:37]I felt Fatima fall on my ground.
[63:44]What did you feel?
[63:44]Oh, Karbala.
[63:46]Carbala says, I felt Hussein fall on my ground when the arrow
[63:50]pierced through his heart.
[63:54]But I also felt the 10 horsemen crush the ribs of Hussein.
[63:58]Oh, Medina, did you witness what I witnessed?
[64:02]Medina says, "What did you witness?" Medina, I witnessed that my son
[64:08]that was hot burnt the neck of Azar when it had an
[64:14]arrow through him.
[64:16]What did you witness?
[64:17]Medina said, I witnessed Min.
[64:18]He was unborn child of Fatima.
[64:22]But I ask you, oh Carbala, one question.
[64:24]Medina says you on on your grounds you have a shrine for
[64:32]Hussein.
[64:33]You have a shrine for Abbas.
[64:35]You have millions of zir these days in Muaram and Ash these
[64:40]days of but I ask you oh carbala where are my shrines
[64:46]and where are my zir Medina and says I do not have
[64:52]any zoo.
[64:54]I do not have any shrines.
[64:55]Tell me, tell me when will I have those shrines and when
[64:58]will I have those zir like you?
[65:00]Kbalah says, "Oh, and oh Medina, yes, you do not have shrines,
[65:09]but Allah, every z of mine will have a shrine for between
[65:27]On this first eve of the month of Muhar, we raise our
[65:33]hands and ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to allow us to undertake
[65:37]these malis with the objective of sincerity and getting close to him.
[65:41]Subhanahu wa ta'ala.
[65:43]We pray to Allah subhana wa ta'ala to accept our and grant
[65:47]us to observe the malis of Abdah.
[65:50]We pray to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to alleviate the suffering of
[65:56]all and around the world.
[65:58]We pray to him subhanahu wa ta'ala to hasten the reappearance of
[66:03]our 12th imam and to make us of his devout and sincere
[66:07]followers.
