[0:17]collie respected brothers and sisters I bid you all with Islamic greeting
[0:22]of assalamualaikum warahmatullah wabarakatuh as we look around us in this vast
[0:31]and spacious universe we notice how deeply we are submerged flooded and
[0:35]covered with infinite blessings and endless signs and within our inner selves
[0:40]there is that compass that directs us to anything in everything that
[0:44]brings us relief that fills our hearts with tranquility and charges us
[0:49]with splendor and amazement every day on the news on social media
[0:56]we hear about people who would travel thousands of kilometers hike up
[0:58]mountains dive into oceans walk in the deepest areas of a forest
[1:04]just to glance a beautiful landscape or to smell the fragrance of
[1:08]a flower or to be astonished by a beautiful lake when we
[1:13]are in such a position there is a magical feeling of awe
[1:18]of splendour of wow that fills us that nourishes us that uplifts
[1:21]us it leaves the heart speechless it leaves the tank in awe
[1:28]it transforms the body and covers it with goosebumps and shivers now
[1:33]it's very interesting that this happens to us but if you think
[1:37]about it if this is our reaction when we come closer to
[1:43]the creation of Allah then how is it when we come a
[1:45]step closer to the creator himself the one who is the source
[1:49]of all generosity and the source of all perfection the question is
[1:53]have we really tried to get closer to Allah when he is
[1:56]always present to us Allah tells us in the Holy Quran that
[1:59]I'm closer to you than your jugular vein when I had no
[2:00]trouble a hymn and happily worried so isn't it more fitting that
[2:07]before seeking the creation we seek the Creator and what is it
[2:10]that we will we will get when we seek Allah Subhanahu WA
[2:15]Ta'ala imam zain arrived in beautifully in the menage out of Alma
[2:18]had been the whispered prayers of the loved ones he beautifully says
[2:21]in aji mandala da ha ha ha mohabbat iike farming cabidela woman
[2:30]de levy Anissa bill or Becca Fatah ha ANCA hawala he says
[2:33]oh my god oh my lord who is he who is the
[2:37]one who have pasted that the sweetness of your loved of your
[2:40]love story and then looked for a replacement instead of you and
[2:45]at the same time who is he that can claim that he
[2:47]became more intimate and closer to you and then was not satisfied
[2:52]and then wanted removal from you in this beautiful phrase from Iran
[2:55]Zine El Abidine we can no we can come to a conclusion
[2:57]that our goal in this world in this existence is to seek
[3:03]further proximity to allah subhanahu wata'ala now using this beautiful broad goal
[3:06]of seeking closeness to Allah allow me today to share in this
[3:09]discussion discussion a pathway a road called the road of giving that
[3:16]I believe is one way one platform that can allow us to
[3:18]each closer to allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala we're gonna discuss this topic that
[3:24]I hope is interesting in four main points number one what is
[3:27]why sorry does allah subhanho wa taala who is called almaty that's
[3:34]the beast or the giver and the Zi put any limitations and
[3:37]conditions to his giving number two in this discussion in this context
[3:43]of divine bestowment and giving where is the position of say the
[3:46]fat of the Sahara Allah has Sarah number three together we'll discuss
[3:50]what are some of the different forms of giving that we as
[3:53]humans can contribute to while utilizing the life of say the fatima
[3:58]zahra Alice Salaam as a role model and a point of reference
[4:00]and lastly what is that one condition that has to be present
[4:04]regardless of the form of giving that we are contributing to for
[4:09]it to be accepted by allah subhanahu wa ta'ala inshaallah will answer
[4:14]this these points after we illuminate our discussion and our halt by
[4:20]the remembrance of Muhammad Ali Mohammed number one analyzing God's name of
[4:25]Almaty the sustainer the beast or allah subhanaw taala is given that
[4:28]name he is the ultimate giver that granted the Beast over to
[4:32]all of his creation and as heavily emphasized in the holy quran
[4:35]there is no creation on this earth that does not depend on
[4:40]allah subhanho wa taala for its continuity for its sustenance now we
[4:43]humans are born illiterate we are born weak we are born poor
[4:50]we are born lost but in that very moment that we are
[4:52]formed as a small little insignificant droplet allah subhana wa ta'ala showers
[4:56]us and gives us with endless grace and blessings now the question
[5:01]is does allah subhanho wa taala put conditions to his giving does
[5:05]he put limitations let's answer this question but first let's look at
[5:09]how we would act as human beings you see if you look
[5:14]at corporations or companies when a new employee joins the workforce what
[5:17]do they do they put him or her in a probation period
[5:21]they say you have to prove yourself you have to work hard
[5:23]show us your quality of what you can offer before you get
[5:28]the additional perks and benefits but it's the complete contrary with allah
[5:31]subhanho wa taala who gives unconditionally regardless whether that servant shows gratitude
[5:37]and thankfulness by obeying the commands of allah old or shows arrogance
[5:42]and negligence by disobedience allah subhana wa ta'ala gives and he beautifully
[5:45]reflects that in Surat Annisa and certainly Sarah allah subhanho wa taala
[5:49]divides creation into two different groups one group is that group that
[5:54]seeks behind the desires of this world and one group that seeks
[5:59]behind that which is in the afterlife promised about allah subhanaw taala
[6:03]and allah gives the answer to whether he puts conditions or not
[6:06]he says in verse 20 of that surah : o Medora allah
[6:11]allahu allah min allah arabic wama kana hata arabica Mahavira to this
[6:16]group and that group we sustain we give without limitation the the
[6:21]bounty of allah is given without restriction so there is your answer
[6:26]Allah provides us the free will he gives us the means necessary
[6:32]to live in this world and our test becomes utilizing that means
[6:36]in goodness or in the wrongful path and this is all up
[6:42]to us but his promise of continuing that never-ending waterfall of goodness
[6:48]of giving is sustained and maintained now one might ask this question
[6:53]if allah subhanaw taala is the most giving he answers all of
[6:56]our prayers why is it that when I ask him sometimes I'm
[7:01]not granted an answer this is a very deep philosophical question that
[7:04]is beyond the scope of this discussion but in a very brief
[7:07]underlying concept we have a very limited understanding and comprehension of what
[7:12]things happen in this world our comprehension is limited we don't see
[7:16]the big picture the full scope our hearts ask a lot for
[7:20]what it desires but Allah answers to what it is for our
[7:22]favor that is the difference how many times have you and I
[7:28]asked Allah for something that alhamdulillah was not granted for us because
[7:31]if it was it could have been harmful for us and sometimes
[7:35]through that grace of Allah with the passage of time we are
[7:37]able to see that wisdom manifest in action we say o Allah
[7:43]thank you for not responding to my to my dog and in
[7:45]that I want to stress that sometimes Appa Yakka Allah Allah hakuna
[7:48]filament that giving can sometimes be in preventing allah prevents you from
[7:53]getting that what you want and in that is the gift itself
[7:57]because it's better for you if we keep that beautiful line into
[7:59]our abraham's athermal you and when we say well a salmon so
[8:04]fatty chaos AED and tomorrow be so early wait a minute a
[8:08]lotta hoie Templeman a novela applicati allah allah Mamluk attic it's not
[8:12]amongst your traits or Allah the most generous one to command us
[8:15]to ask you and then you refrain us from giving and it
[8:20]is you who is the grantor of all bounties of all residents
[8:24]of your kingdom so in conclusion if you want to derive closeness
[8:29]to Allah we should take a glimpse of his perfection and giving
[8:32]and inherit that and offer and give to others that is truly
[8:37]how we can manifest Allah subhana WA Ta'ala as mercy and showcase
[8:40]it to others and that is something that say the fatima zahra
[8:42]in a very very beautiful line in her door on the day
[8:47]of Friday shares and I pray that we all are included in
[8:52]the star where she says allah wa aj al lana min allah
[8:54]so like happy Amelie and then the beautiful powerful light I had
[9:01]back Feige Amir occultic oh allah make us amongst those who sincerely
[9:07]dedicate their actions to you and love you through all of your
[9:11]creation see that beautiful message of inclusivity 14 centuries ago say the
[9:15]fatima zahra Ali Salaam teaches us that you can love allah subhanho
[9:18]wa taala through all of his creation without putting boundaries and limits
[9:22]on Creed and race and what not this is true giving and
[9:26]this is how we can get closer to Allah in one pathway
[9:28]and now I'll move on to the position of say the fatima
[9:34]zahra alehissalaam in this whole context of giving and base torment after
[9:38]we take a break from my voice with a loud salat Allah
[9:41]Muhammad Ali Mohammed now to answer this very important question of where
[9:45]do we place a the Fatima where is her location in this
[9:49]whole equation of giving and mr.
[9:50]almond by allah subhanho wa taala we have to provide some context
[9:55]we all have heard about the hardships the struggles that the holy
[9:58]prophet has went through in his early days of prophethood where the
[10:01]pagans his enemies utilized any opportunity to insult to mock and accuse
[10:06]him in one of the instances these enemies of the Holy Prophet
[10:14]accused and taunted the Holy Prophet and mocked him why because they
[10:18]say your Lord has abandoned you he has forsaken you he is
[10:21]no longer close to you and he is displeased with you why
[10:27]because at that time there was a period where the Holy Prophet
[10:30]did not receive revelation it's approximately about 15 days according to some
[10:34]narrations but as a quick response Allah subhana WA Ta'ala didn't respond
[10:38]to the enemies with a verse he responded with an entire so
[10:43]dedicated to the holy prophet called surah - Doha where the Holy
[10:46]Prophet was addressed with beautiful promises that soothed his heart and brought
[10:53]tranquility and calmness to him what does allah subhanaw taala says first
[10:57]he starts with two oaths and then he confirms and affirms that
[11:00]o Muhammad I have never and will never leave you and instead
[11:05]of that to bring happiness to his heart allah subhanho wa taala
[11:08]the most generous said that i'm gonna give you something until you
[11:13]are satisfied well a so fair your applique Arab bucha Fatah robot
[11:16]and then he moves on in other verses where allah subhanho wa
[11:19]taala reminds the holy prophet of his childhood and his upbringing and
[11:23]all the hardships that he went through and who was the one
[11:26]who took care of him in these times it's allah subhanahu wa
[11:30]tada now let's keep this verse in particular in our minds and
[11:33]then shortly after in the same era in Mecca something else happened
[11:38]another incident happened where a person named al ahzab noel amongst other
[11:43]people gave a very harsh nickname that hurt the heart of the
[11:49]holy prophet he called him a laptop the one who has no
[11:51]progeny no offspring no children no lineage because at that time the
[11:57]Holy Prophet just recently lost his two sons Abdullah and Qasim and
[12:01]you can imagine that stone liked hearts of these enemies that would
[12:04]come and mock a man who just lost his children even if
[12:09]I'm your biggest enemy who has the humanness to do that but
[12:12]that's the level of hate that the Holy Prophet was receiving and
[12:14]in the same way the Holy Prophet was addressed again in yet
[12:21]another surah that was directed to him named suratul kappa where allah
[12:25]says in a pnina calc alpha now remember the first verse i
[12:29]told you if you analyze the entirety of the holy quran there
[12:34]is no other verse where Allah links that first verse while ISO
[12:37]file a caribou cafeteria until this first of in pinnacle kotha it's
[12:43]as if that divine gift from Allah that will satisfy the Holy
[12:45]Prophet was given in this coffin what is cava linguistically cava is
[12:52]an abundance of goodness its goodness in many many different ways shapes
[12:55]and forms some scholars interpreted this as a river in paradise we
[13:01]have heard this a lot and that's not a wrongful you know
[13:03]analyzation or interpretation because that falls under the category of abundant goodness
[13:08]but if we interpret and analyze the verses especially the end when
[13:13]allah subhanho wa taala tells his holy prophet in NASH on eik
[13:16]who well after it is your enemies on muhammad that will be
[13:20]cut off from progeny it's very clear that the holy prophet has
[13:24]been addressed and been discussed about something related to progeny and children
[13:28]and then it becomes evident it becomes very clear that cows are
[13:35]here that allah subhana wa ta'ala refers to is none other than
[13:39]say the photometer sahara alehissalaam she is the cofell allah subhanaw taala
[13:49]willed that the progeny of the holy prophet contain is not through
[13:52]sons but through his beautiful daughter fatima zahra Ali Saleh and despite
[13:56]all the bloodshed and the calamities and the cruelty and the hardship
[14:00]that her progeny will face in this world they will still prosper
[14:05]and continue and now look at seven continents all around the globe
[14:09]the tree that can be traced back to the Holy Prophet is
[14:11]Masha Allah noble and ever-growing and where are his enemies none to
[14:14]be found so far team alehissalaam was that divine gift from allah
[14:18]Fatima Ali has Sinan was the gift was the blessing that was
[14:24]sent as a mercy to he who was sent as mercy to
[14:27]humanity and the entirety of the world's now let's move on to
[14:31]the third point which is what are some of the different forms
[14:34]of giving that we can contribute to and because we talked about
[14:40]the context of Alcoa it's only fitting that we start this point
[14:44]by referring to the neverending flow of love that say the fatima
[14:47]zahra sallam has given everybody in particular her father as a source
[14:54]of giving you see in arabic you have a common expression that
[14:57]says fact leader che Eli Otley the one who has lost something
[15:00]he's incapable or she is incapable of giving it to others but
[15:03]fatima Cazale sallam proved to be an exception to that rule because
[15:09]despite the little bit of ease of comfort of compassion that she
[15:12]received she was that never-ending source of comfort of tranquility of calmness
[15:17]to the holy prophet salallahu alayhi wa ali or Selman say the
[15:21]Fatima desire a lacerum lived a childhood like no other it was
[15:24]headlined by calamities by hardship by struggle you noticed that when she
[15:29]was born she would look up at her father who was considered
[15:35]a stranger and outcast Arab men both in his own City you
[15:39]you think that small little girl would spend her time peacefully playing
[15:43]with other peers in the neighborhood but instead say the farm tasali
[15:48]salaam and her entire family were exiled outside mecca in in sherab
[15:52]ABI talib in the valley of ABI talib because the pagans of
[15:58]Quraysh decided to do a boycott a social economic blockade boycott to
[16:02]put pressure on the Holy Prophet so she spent her childhood in
[16:05]hunger in sorrow and loneliness shortly after she lost her loving great
[16:15]mother say the Hadees alaihe Sarah and also her father lost his
[16:18]great uncle uncle Abu Talib so imagine all these calamities but it
[16:22]was only evident that the more hardships a the far too bizarre
[16:26]I would see the more her level of giving and best omens
[16:29]would be offered to others how did the enemies treat the holy
[16:36]prophet who came as a mercy who came to bring that message
[16:40]of monotheism to creation they welcomed him with stones with the inner
[16:45]parts and intestines of animals and there she is say the fatima
[16:48]zahra she would wait until her father comes back and with her
[16:55]small little beautiful hands jump to him hug him take all the
[16:59]dirt the dust the blood and the tears from her beloved father
[17:06]she was that source of comfort she was that energy that boosted
[17:10]the morale of the Holy Prophet that regained his confidence the Holy
[17:15]Prophet was sent as a reformer to the nation but Fatima alehissalaam
[17:18]was sent to support the reformer and through Fatima she was able
[17:27]to transform the way that society at that era and until this
[17:30]very day view women and how people also view the relationship between
[17:34]a daughter and a father so it is no surprise that with
[17:42]all this in context what is the beautiful nickname that she was
[17:47]given by her father Omo Abia the mother of her father the
[17:51]Holy Prophet stressed that she is an inseparable part of him hair
[17:55]satisfaction is the satisfaction of Allah and His Prophet and likewise her
[17:58]anger is the anger of Allah and the Holy Prophet this statement
[18:03]brother and sisters was not given out of bias out of emotion
[18:05]but it is through the merits and goodness intrinsically in Fatima Tozawa
[18:09]Asylum because the Holy Prophet in another instance with with direct his
[18:14]daughter by saying Ah Fatima been to Muhammad Emilie vanilla oniy uncommon
[18:19]allahi Shia o daughter work I will not enter seed for your
[18:24]native judgment you have to work you have to earn so this
[18:27]proves that her merit her status her nicknames were all given to
[18:31]her because of her goodness because of what she performed and offered
[18:35]to the world not because she was the daughter of the Holy
[18:38]Prophet so that is a very important point to keep in mind
[18:46]another point is wealth wealth is something that we can all contribute
[18:50]to and give however when it comes to materialistic possessions and wealth
[18:54]we all know that the a debate alehissalaam were short of that
[18:57]they didn't have much in that side of things but with the
[19:01]very little that they had they would favor others on themselves even
[19:04]if they are an utmost need we all have heard of the
[19:09]story of say the photometers are awliya sena donating her wedding dress
[19:12]in the night of her wedding or her entire family fasting for
[19:15]three days and breaking their fast with none other than water because
[19:19]the little bread that they had they gave it away for the
[19:23]needy the orphan and the captive but i want to share with
[19:26]you another story that i don't think a lot of us have
[19:29]heard and that is the story of her necklace and see the
[19:32]power that comes with giving from the heart it is narrated by
[19:37]IBN abdullah al ansari that one day and they asked after the
[19:39]afternoon prayers were over the holy prophet was gathered with his companions
[19:43]at the mosque when an old man with very old shabby-looking closes
[19:48]appeared he greeted the holy prophet the prophet asked about his health
[19:53]but then the the man old man said what he actually was
[19:55]in for he said o holy prophet i am hungry helping me
[20:00]feed me I'm naked clothe me I'm in need of money help
[20:06]me at that time the holy prophet in very kind and generous
[20:08]and merciful methodology he addressed him I said oh dear brother right
[20:13]now I don't have anything to give you but I will direct
[20:18]you to a place to a home to someone who loves Allah
[20:22]and His Holy Prophet and Allah and His Holy Prophet loves her
[20:24]and she favors others unto himself unto herself so he asked his
[20:28]companion bill are they alive to stand up and he told him
[20:33]go and take that man to the house of my daughter so
[20:34]the man went outside the house and in a very loud voice
[20:39]greeted the house of the holy household referring to say the desert
[20:43]out of respect she created back and he expressed his need again
[20:47]and he said that he was sent by the Holy Prophet so
[20:51]far Tim does Allah said I looked in the house and all
[20:52]that she found was a small little sheepskin that was used as
[20:59]a carpet and bedding for her sons with a lot of humbleness
[21:02]she gave it and and and told the man to forgive her
[21:06]because that's all what she had but the man interestingly did not
[21:09]accept that gift he said daughter of the Prophet I'm hungry what
[21:13]are you giving me I don't I can't do anything with this
[21:16]so far team desire sallam was astonished she was shocked what can
[21:20]I do right now her house is not too big for her
[21:24]to have missed something but she remembered that she was gifted a
[21:28]necklace by her cousin that she was wearing she instantly and fastened
[21:31]it and she said I hope that through this your hearts are
[21:37]fulfilled the man was so happy he was joys he expressed his
[21:39]gratitude to say the Falcom and went back to the mosque and
[21:41]told the holy prophet what happened instantly once the holy prophet heard
[21:44]this there is no surprise that he started shedding tears he's like
[21:49]of course your needs will be fulfilled because they were blessed by
[21:53]the mistress of the worlds and then he started discussing the merits
[21:56]of say the father Zahra a modern Yasser was sitting close by
[21:59]to the Holy Prophet and after he all of this merits he
[22:04]approached the old man he said old man how much are you
[22:05]going to sell this necklace for he said all I need is
[22:09]a little bit of food a new clothing and money to transport
[22:14]me back to my village I'm not greedy that's all what I
[22:16]want so tomorrow when the answer said very well I'm going to
[22:19]give you 200 D 200 denars and 20 Durham's or the opposite
[22:23]let me check yeah 20 dinars and 200 Durham's and I'm gonna
[22:27]give you a new clothing I'm gonna give food what are healthy
[22:31]reality is either like you the camel the horse my method of
[22:33]transportation that man was so happy but the Holy Prophet said before
[22:38]you leave you have to make a drop or say the Fatima
[22:39]and he said o Allah from all of his heart he said
[22:43]grant say the Falcon is something that no one else had and
[22:45]the Holy Prophet said army and he said your DA has already
[22:49]accepted why he said because Fatima has me as a father and
[22:53]no one is like me she has the Ali as his her
[22:54]husband if it wasn't for Ali she would not find any suitable
[22:58]spouse she has hassan and hussain and they are the masters of
[23:01]the youth of paradise now the man went happy what did our
[23:07]modern yasser do with all humility - he took the necklace he
[23:10]puts fragments misc in particular he put it in a very expensive
[23:13]piece of clothing and he called his servant he said go back
[23:18]to the Holy Prophet and gift him that necklace and you are
[23:22]to be working under the custody of the Holy Prophet once you
[23:24]do so so very well the servant took it went to the
[23:29]Holy Prophet the Holy Prophet greeted him and said go and give
[23:31]it back to say the Fatima and you are under her custody
[23:34]so he went back to say the falconer who was very surprised
[23:38]to see the necklace and she said thank you for the necklace
[23:41]you are now free for the sake of Allah so the servant
[23:45]laughed and when was asked why he said subhanAllah look at that
[23:48]miracle of this necklace it fulfilled the hunger of a hungry person
[23:51]a clothed a naked person it enriched a poor person its freed
[23:59]a servant and returned back to its owner through this father necessarily
[24:09]Salam proves that no one is poor from giving and the reason
[24:12]why this necklace was miraculous was because Fatima Tahara alehissalaam gave it
[24:16]from her heart without conditions without going through possibilities and explanations of
[24:22]why what when just like a loving mother a mother when she
[24:25]acts he doesn't act out of worry or fear but from her
[24:28]heart out of love and that's what we also call say the
[24:30]Falcons are all he said on our mother because she is flowing
[24:35]us all with love and compassion and that brings me to my
[24:39]third point someone can say well I'm poor I'm weak I cannot
[24:45]help what can I do another form of giving that we can
[24:48]all contribute to is a word of advice knowledge or a word
[24:53]of Prayer that is something simple that we all can do and
[24:55]when you look at the life of say Department Azhar alayhi Salaam
[24:59]she was living in a household that is filled with responsibilities children
[25:02]to take care of her holy prophet her husband Islamic issues but
[25:07]she still had time to devote to allah subhana wa ta'ala so
[25:11]Imam Hassan Ali said I'm narrates that once he was asleep he
[25:14]woke up and he heard his mother you know bowing prostrating going
[25:18]up and down until the dawn fed just showed up and in
[25:24]that entire time say the Fatima Zahra was praying and mentioning the
[25:28]names of the meaning and me not without ever referring back to
[25:32]her name and when asked why that beautiful glorious answer el jardín
[25:38]Maeda the neighbor before us before the home why is this amazing
[25:48]because although she has already been burdened with a lot of calamities
[25:52]and hardships she was still concerned and prioritized the concerns and problems
[25:58]and and burdens of other people she's teaching us a valuable lesson
[26:02]that we shouldn't be self-centered but we should have a societal vision
[26:05]we should think about others we should magnify the concerns and problems
[26:09]of others and in doing so our own problems are dissolved that
[26:14]is the greatness of state of Arkansas sir and when you are
[26:17]such a generous giver even in your prayers it is no surprise
[26:19]that those around you can be inspired by such behavior and mimic
[26:26]it so it is again no surprise that Hassan alehissalaam an imam
[26:29]illumined he grew up what was he known to be kereama a
[26:32]little bit that generous member of the elevator because he looked up
[26:37]to his mother doing this beautiful act of goodness one last form
[26:42]of giving is giving time and effort you see we all think
[26:46]that money can buy everything but there's instances where money cannot buy
[26:49]something that is offered through effort and end time in the life
[26:55]of said about Mazzara that is repetitively stress upon that she would
[27:00]work in the household never endlessly endlessly you know her hands are
[27:04]blistered from grinding the wheat she's baking the bread she's holding the
[27:08]water skin the water on the water skin until she has been
[27:15]scarred she's cleaning but she did not stop that offerings to her
[27:18]family there is many innovations that say that she would go outside
[27:21]to the neighbors nearby neighbors those who are poor I'm privileged who
[27:24]are not able physically and monetary to sustain these things and she
[27:28]would help them and likewise in Ahmed Ali Salaam the great warrior
[27:36]that Islamic leader that man who took the door of Kaiba he
[27:40]would come back home and sweep the floor and clean it there
[27:43]is always room for giving we all have heard his stories about
[27:49]also extending his help to the Jews and Christians but it's no
[27:52]surprise because he's the one who described the believer as one who
[27:54]supply is limited and his aid and help is in extensivity and
[28:00]Mortman Ali allude in my own career or in my own a
[28:04]Cathedral moan and mock me no Khalil my una Cathy Ramona in
[28:09]that context I want to share with you quickly a story that
[28:12]really baffled me and surprised me that shows the power of giving
[28:17]imagine all of us that for one second lhasa Mahalo you are
[28:20]blind and to make matters even worse imagine that you are now
[28:26]deaf this is the scenario of a lot of people living in
[28:28]today they are losing their two most powerful senses and you can
[28:34]say well this is the most hopeless form of living that I
[28:37]can ever imagine imagine you cannot see in here how can you
[28:39]communicate how can you live this life this was the exact case
[28:43]of a girl named Helen Keller who after reaching 19 months of
[28:47]existence she lost both her hearing and her sight due to an
[28:52]illness until she was seven she was in that loneliness bubble until
[28:55]a woman a young woman came and changed her life forever that
[28:59]woman was named Ann Sullivan she came in with a lot of
[29:07]patience and persistence decided to help Helen she would bring her and
[29:11]make her touch things and through touching she would take her palm
[29:15]of her hand and start writing that word so for example she
[29:17]take her to water put the water out and then start writing
[29:20]water and she kept doing so over and over and this was
[29:24]a creative methodology that no one has ever seen before in doing
[29:28]so Helen started to learn some words and slowly after in about
[29:31]three years when she was the age of 10 she was able
[29:35]to read fully in the Braille language and used the typewriter it's
[29:38]astonishing if you think about that a step further she was able
[29:43]to talk how it's amazing you can watch it on YouTube she
[29:45]would take her hand and place it on the mouth of the
[29:49]speaker so with her finger she put a finger on the nose
[29:52]on the lips and on the throat and through the vibrations of
[29:55]the vocal cord she can assess what was being said and she
[29:59]can mimic that and slowly she learned how to speak through that
[30:01]by age 24 she has graduated from college with a bachelor's the
[30:05]first-ever deafblind person and had her first publication and biography and she
[30:10]grew later to have many organizations and take a leading role in
[30:14]providing insight and light on this blind and deaf struggles that a
[30:23]lot of people have went through so she became a voice off
[30:25]of that and she has a very beautiful quote that is forever
[30:29]remembered and that is alone we can do so little but together
[30:34]we can do so much but now in this whole thing imagine
[30:39]all this greatness that would have been buried if it wasn't for
[30:42]Ansel even come and giving her time and effort and by the
[30:45]way she lasted fourteen nine years with health imagine 49 years she
[30:50]was her companion giving endlessly and that was the result so don't
[30:53]limit your potential don't say that I cannot help in any way
[30:55]this is an example of something that money cannot buy but only
[31:03]through time and effort it can now lastly what are some of
[31:06]the conditions that or one condition actually that must be present for
[31:10]any form of giving and what I've given is just an example
[31:15]it's not all forms of giving but there's a condition that has
[31:17]to be applicable and present for it to be accepted by allah
[31:22]subhanho wa taala and that condition is mentioned in surah Baqarah mahalik
[31:26]where imam zain hobbling says well as really nasty and I had
[31:30]a young wife well Adam helped her build men jobs and Ivan
[31:34]says o Allah let good flow out of my hands to people
[31:38]for people but at the same time do not let me erase
[31:43]the goodness by obliging people what does that mean you see it
[31:46]is easy for us to commit and perform acts of goodness but
[31:49]the challenge is to preserve and maintain the reward a lot of
[31:54]times we do goodness but in an in an instance we blackmail
[31:56]and remind others about the favors that we have done upon them
[32:01]we put conditions on our help we say I did this and
[32:03]I did that I don't think that this is a way that
[32:05]law subhana WA Ta'ala would accept your giving as a form of
[32:11]sincerity I believe actually that when you give the moment you give
[32:15]or perform a favor instantly forget it but the moment you receive
[32:18]a favor I remember it forever even better do not consider what
[32:25]you do as a favor to others but yourself when I'm in
[32:27]a Salah hanford NFC and Imam Zainab do you know what he
[32:31]used to do when a poor person reports him he would say
[32:32]marhaban be man jaaa me lose Adi in a locker welcome to
[32:36]he or or she who would come and hold my wealth and
[32:41]provisions to the afterlife look at the level of humility and humbleness
[32:44]that he would pertain to even that who who comes and asks
[32:49]for him this is the kind of spirit that we have but
[32:51]it is only through societal engagement and inclusivity and helping others that
[32:57]we able to eradicate that selfishness that ego centric you know features
[33:03]that we have in ourselves and truly offer a life of giving
[33:06]we make a living by what we earn but we make a
[33:12]life by what we give so in conclusion say the Falcom Tazawa
[33:16]Islam lived a life that knew nothing but beasts omens and giving
[33:23]she combined worship and work behavior mannerism and faith and taught us
[33:28]that only through giving you are able to receive more than what
[33:30]you already have and this is the metaphor I want to end
[33:37]I have to stress that we all have to imagine envision ourselves
[33:40]as a fruit which once reaches maturity and and ripes ex source
[33:47]of youthfulness is by giving its sweetness away but if that sweetness
[33:51]is kept and stays then it becomes the source of its decay
[33:59]and rotting or rotting in in particular so enough of us being
[34:03]spectators enough of us thinking that we don't have a role to
[34:07]play enough us thinking that we cannot provide anything or give back
[34:10]it should be viewed as an honor that we all compete for
[34:13]a fiddle carefully attend a facility na'vi soon this should be like
[34:17]a competition and you know when you're in a competition and you
[34:19]end up in second place you don't even feel like celebrating you
[34:22]feel like this bitterness this is how we should view this honor
[34:25]of giving we should be competing for it we should strive and
[34:27]try to be the best the pinnacle at that lead in that
[34:31]mountain of giving to others because remember that all the blessings that
[34:35]you have are not necessarily for you but it's a test that
[34:37]allah subhanaw taala will ask you I have given you so many
[34:43]blessings have you passed them on to others or no don't belittle
[34:47]your capabilities and don't say that it's too late I'm too young
[34:51]I can't do it photometers our ally salam lived two decades but
[34:54]in those two decades she gave until she was recognized by the
[34:57]skies the heavens this existence as the mistress of the world said
[35:03]that when he saw al al-amin so don't say you don't have
[35:05]a part to play thank you so much I hope this have
[35:09]sparkled a level of thought to all of you and ask you
[35:14]to forgive me for being lengthy Avila Hammond's illallah Muhammad Ali Mohammed
