[11:00]the year 2002.

[11:04]20 years ago with more than 26 seasons and since its Inception

[11:18]the shows gain more popularity and relevance for millions of Americans for

[11:32]millions of people around the world The Bachelor has become an integral

[11:40]part of their lives some shows a single episode would attract tens

[11:51]of millions of views while they only spent two million dollars per

[12:01]episode they gain 90 million dollars of advertising Revenue not only that

[12:16]now there is something called The Bachelor Nation or millions of people

[12:23]around the world identify themselves to this show where they want to

[12:34]know the deity greedy and the small details and the life of

[12:38]the bachelors what happened to them what are they doing now what

[12:42]are they going to do tomorrow what car are they driving where

[12:46]do they live how much is their income people spend their precious

[12:53]days and nights wanting to know the details about the bachelor's Nation

[13:04]what's this shawl about this show has one Bachelor and 25 Young

[13:25]beautiful attractive blondes mostly 10 out of tens fighting over one dude

[13:40]and it's a serious fight it's a battle and people sit there

[13:55]and call it a reality show it's supposed to reflect the reality

[14:02]of our society and I tell you it's far far Far From

[14:08]Reality have you seen a 35 year old single man and how

[14:15]they act in front of woman which man has the ability to

[14:25]have 25 selected women fighting over him all at once at the

[14:29]same time most guys I know haven't even been on 25 dates

[14:38]all life let alone have 25 of them where they can fight

[14:44]over over him all at once guys at 35 if they're still

[14:52]single they're probably on every single dating app signed up for every

[14:58]single speed dating event in the 200 mile radius trying to get

[15:08]themselves on a date so how is this a reality of how

[15:12]we live and what's funny about the whole situation is somehow supposed

[15:22]to be romantic this is the most romantic reality TV show ever

[15:30]there's nothing romantic about it and the problem is it's changed the

[15:41]way people behave and people think especially the young men it's been

[15:47]on for 20 years so it's changed a lot of the culture

[15:49]the way people behave and think so there's people watching at home

[15:53]there's people watching at home and they they start thinking like you

[16:02]know he's The Bachelor and now girls have to fight over him

[16:06]and I really don't know why they don't put out a disclaimer

[16:11]in the beginning of every show saying look don't try this at

[16:13]home this may cause serious injuries or damage and I've seen I

[16:24]I travel a lot so when I travel some of the young

[16:30]men come and invite me to their homes so we can sit

[16:34]together and speak so they tell me say it we're inviting you

[16:40]to the to the crib to the bachelor's pet right and when

[16:46]you show up there it does not look like a crib it

[16:49]looks more like a dungeon or a prison cell if and I

[16:56]asked them I say Brothers why aren't you married no you're 30

[17:04]or 35 37 why aren't you married says say to be honest

[17:11]with you there are no good girls in our community I know

[17:18]what they mean by that by the way it's not that I

[17:22]don't know what they mean and it's not just the boys it's

[17:32]not just the young men in our community the Bachelor's in our

[17:37]community the sisters as well they think they're The Bachelorette and that's

[17:45]another show that was started in 2003 what's this show all about

[17:50]this show is all about 25 grown men fighting over one woman

[18:07]honestly this is the most degrading this is the most shameful TV

[18:15]show that's ever been aired on American television screens each of those

[18:22]shows Believe It or Not generate more than 250 000 tweets that

[18:33]is why the bachelor Bachelorette Factory has become the most tweeted about

[18:42]TV reality show in the history of American television it tells you

[18:47]the reality of people people this is what they enjoy this is

[18:51]what they want to talk about this is what they want to

[18:56]gossip about this is what generates money and I and I read

[18:59]a book by one of the producers of the bachelor Bachelorette show

[19:07]this book is I mean you can you can grab this book

[19:11]tonight and read it it's a quick read it tells you about

[19:17]how fake unrealistic this show is all about there's in 20 years

[19:20]only six people got married on this show and somehow it's supposed

[19:25]to create this romance and people get to know each other and

[19:29]then at you when you choose one person out of 25 who

[19:35]have been selected through hundreds of thousands of applicants when you choose

[19:42]that one person out of the 25 you're thinking I should live

[19:45]happily ever after with this person for the rest of my life

[19:49]because this person went through so many filters and I chose this

[19:56]person amongst 25 others those beautiful 25 blondes that come mostly with

[20:04]very low IQ you know you would think that this this would

[20:08]be a good match only six people have gone married and guess

[20:15]what this producer says that they were paid to get married in

[20:24]fact when they interview those people after you know they got they

[20:29]go on a date they interview them every single thing that they

[20:32]say on that interview is premeditated that's scripted they're told what to

[20:39]say and we're sitting there behind our television screen saying wow this

[20:43]is so romantic this is so beautiful so when you ask the

[20:51]sisters as well they also sometimes we live in a bubble now

[20:57]we live in a bubble that you know she thinks she's on

[21:02]the back she's The Bachelorette as well so without getting sidetracked many

[21:05]of the young men in our community believe that the solution is

[21:17]to import what do I mean Masha Allah you're all and to

[21:28]business here in this community so I don't mean importing you know

[21:33]goods and services from China or different places no I meant something

[21:37]else today with the currency so destabilized in our countries back home

[21:50]devalued an Iran and Iraq and turkey and Lebanon and you show

[21:57]up there with dollars you literally become like the American consulate you

[22:09]get so many Visa applications every single day and you know a

[22:18]lot of people have only seen Disneyland on TV and pictures so

[22:23]many people want to come and see what America is all about

[22:31]and somehow this is supposed to ensure a joyful very happy enduring

[22:38]marriage but studies indicate recent studies indicate that there will definitely be

[22:49]an eminent culture crash that's unescapable and for the Sisters I don't

[23:01]want to generalize by the way when I speak tonight I'm trying

[23:06]to add a little humor but I don't want to also generalize

[23:09]some of us are waiting for Mr Perfect Mr Perfect is never

[23:18]going to show up unless you have some connections with Imam al-mahdi

[23:26]Allah Mr Perfect is never going to show up because he doesn't

[23:34]exist there is no such thing as Mr Perfect that's going to

[23:36]come and sweep you off your feet yeah when we sit there

[23:43]looking at Instagram and Tick Tock and Kylie Jenner and what's the

[23:47]guy's name Scott what huh Travis Scott Travis Scott and how they're

[24:00]fighting over their own private jets are we going to take my

[24:02]private jet or your private jet this is the biggest problem they

[24:09]have or no you're more realistic than that you see your friends

[24:14]who are married and they post their pictures their eight pictures or

[24:19]their family with their friends on social media and they look so

[24:24]happy and they look so devoted to each other and they look

[24:26]like and now it's become a trend where couples travel with each

[24:29]other and they post pictures and videos and they go to restaurants

[24:36]together and they're blogging together and it just looks so beautiful looks

[24:42]like they have absolutely no problems whatsoever and I tell you that

[24:48]is far from the truth there is no such thing as a

[24:50]perfect couple perfect marriage Mr Perfect Miss Perfect there is no such

[24:55]thing those same people who are posting those pictures before the picture

[25:02]and after the picture they had an argument because she was saying

[25:05]I want you to put your hands around me in the picture

[25:10]and he said I don't feel like it so they had their

[25:12]whole argument but then when they were taking the pictures it was

[25:18]all smiles it's not all milk and honey believe me we have

[25:25]to be more realistic we have to be more fair and tolerant

[25:29]and I tell you why I chose to talk about this because

[25:33]I feel that the bachelor Bachelorette lifestyle of those who attend majalis

[25:39]practicing followers of the halilbait needs to change and it needs major

[25:49]change brother if you are a follower of Imam and Hussein if

[26:01]you are a follower of the bait if you attribute yourself and

[26:09]Imam Hussain the only thing that resembles your shirism shouldn't be the

[26:17]chain that you put here on your neck and you go to

[26:23]the gym and you work out and you post pictures online with

[26:27]the car or tattoos of the Del or ya Ali or something

[26:35]like that resemble the with your mannerism with your honesty with your

[26:43]integrity with your generosity with your kindness with your compassion and I

[26:58]want to talk about some common mistakes that single folks make why

[27:08]because you're at an age where you are about to start a

[27:17]very important integral part of your life and that is marriage and

[27:24]I tell you brothers and sisters marriage is the most beloved institution

[27:33]in the eyes of Allah it is the most honorable institution in

[27:40]Islam it is Holy would you ever consider being Unholy in front

[28:01]of the cab would you stand in front of the Kaaba and

[28:07]do something that is immoral would you commit a sin would anybody

[28:13]do anything indecent in front of the Kaaba why Allah says the

[28:20]honor of Allah is more important to me than the kaab those

[28:29]aren't my words this is a Hadith from Allah so when you're

[28:40]about to start a family think of it as greater and most

[28:48]holy and more sacred than the holy Kaaba and I'm going to

[28:52]talk about this soon inshallah and I see that people today are

[29:04]making common mistakes and this is what the guys mean when they

[29:11]say there is no good girls in our community there are plenty

[29:16]of good young women in our community and this is what the

[29:22]sisters mean the ladies mean when they say there are no good

[29:25]men in our community there are many good individuals Noble individuals honorable

[29:30]young men in our community so what's happening here I'll tell you

[29:36]what's happening number one for the men you ain't no Drake please

[29:50]understand this what do I mean some guys the way they reflect

[30:02]themselves they portray themselves is that he is number one on a

[30:10]permanent vacation he's on a permanent vacation always going around smoking our

[30:17]Gala for I am posting 4 I am smoking Aguila shisha at

[30:22]the shisha join he's irresponsible seems like he's the most careless dude

[30:35]ever obviously nobody wants to start a family with you my brother

[30:43]before you think of marriage and before you complain about there are

[30:51]no good girls in our community you have to start with your

[30:55]own self stop thinking about marriage for a moment stop thinking about

[31:01]wanting to find someone you have to settle down yourself you have

[31:07]to start acting with responsibility as an adult ask yourself you know

[31:13]if I was a woman would I want to marry myself would

[31:18]I want to marry you know you and answer yourself that is

[31:24]that is something very serious to think about so what do you

[31:28]what should I start with start with fixing your bed when you

[31:32]wake up in the morning make your bed you think this is

[31:39]funny I swear to you Allah many of the men in our

[31:42]community takes 30 seconds make your bed learn how to use a

[31:53]vacuum cleaner you know watch a YouTube video how do you turn

[31:59]it on how do you vacuum acting more responsibly make better decisions

[32:11]don't stay in this teenage phase you're no longer a teenager now

[32:19]you're an adult you want to become a father you want to

[32:23]start a family you're going to be responsible for other individuals if

[32:32]you're out there every day smoking shisha until four in the morning

[32:39]when are you going to wake up and go to work hard

[32:43]I'll say no inshallah when I get married now I have my

[32:47]freedom when I get married I have to work hard no start

[32:50]working hard today take life seriously most importantly cut some of your

[32:55]friends look you're a friend with this guy in high school maybe

[33:05]College do you still need him is he is he really a

[33:08]friend is he somebody positive in your life yes you may love

[33:18]this person you truly love this person but sometimes you need to

[33:22]cut that relationship if this person is calling you every night Allah

[33:26]shisha is ready the farm is on the Fire cut this guy

[33:32]out of your life I'm not saying don't ever smoke Shisha don't

[33:36]ever have fun don't ever hang out with you but don't get

[33:41]addicted and look some people let me be honest with you some

[33:46]people they come from money masha'allah his dad he's very wealthy and

[33:53]he's giving this guy ten thousand dollars at the beginning of each

[33:59]month let him go and do whatever he wants with it is

[34:02]that the case for you you gotta hustle you got to work

[34:09]hard today you are young get yourself in the habit of waking

[34:14]up early sleep early exercise think of yourself think of your health

[34:22]get a haircut I see some people Allah some of the youth

[34:26]today I'm thinking why is there no barber in your city what's

[34:35]happening get a haircut fix your beard some of them his beard

[34:40]starts by his eyes and it ends you know it gets connected

[34:43]to his chest hair groom yourself take care of yourself iron your

[34:52]clothe dress properly don't dress like you're in the ninth grade well

[34:57]I've seen some 30 year olds they dress like they're you know

[35:00]in the ninth grade this is inappropriate this is not manly ask

[35:08]the side the side of the hall does anybody want to get

[35:12]married to a 30 year old man who dresses like a ninth

[35:15]grader raise your hands it's common sense those are very important things

[35:36]brothers and sisters I kid you not because I see people now

[35:39]in their 30s and they're still single and and look things have

[35:43]changed look at go read pew you know in in the 90s

[35:48]and the 80s people were getting married in their 20s then it

[35:51]shifted in the 90s to 25s now it's shifted to 30s people

[35:56]like this comfort you know I'm gonna just be lazy I don't

[36:00]want to be responsible for anybody or anything I'm just going to

[36:03]live single for the rest of my life yeah whenever you know

[36:06]maybe I'll get married this maybe I'll get married doesn't work in

[36:11]Islam and Islam the reality of the issue is if you stay

[36:15]single until you're 30 you piled a lot of sins do not

[36:22]fool yourself Allah tells us if you want to purify yourself and

[36:32]face Allah on the day of judgment with Purity With Honor with

[36:37]integrity with less sin on your backs get married that is why

[36:48]when you get married what happens you complete half of your faith

[37:00]by getting married you protect yourself you protect your integrity so the

[37:08]first thing Brothers before you think of marriage because I know people

[37:12]who do get married before they change those habits and he's still

[37:15]sleeping until noon time and his wife is working he's still going

[37:24]out until 4am smoking shisha with his friends he's still on constant

[37:29]vacation he still doesn't make us bad he doesn't he doesn't feel

[37:36]respond that marriage is bound to break that's why we have skyrocketing

[37:45]divorce race rates in our community now once you change your habits

[37:49]you feel good about yourself then you will attract the right individual

[37:54]I guarantee you you don't have to look for them in the

[37:58]wrong places they will come to you Allah will send them in

[38:03]your way now sisters please remain seated during this portion keep calm

[38:18]can we have some security look for the Sisters I'll say this

[38:31]I'll say unfortunately we the sisters also portray on social media what

[38:42]they really aren't and that is the truth and I don't want

[38:47]to generalize I don't want to say every single some of you

[38:49]will say it I don't even have social media I'm not talking

[38:54]about you okay I'm referring to what's causing this problem so now

[39:00]we know when the sisters say there are no good guys in

[39:03]the community we know what the problem is they want somebody responsible

[39:08]they want somebody who's ready to start a family now what do

[39:12]the guys mean when they say there's no good girls in our

[39:17]community look I know a lot of the sisters they help their

[39:19]mothers in the kitchen for example they cook they clean but they

[39:24]never post that on social media that she's helping her mom in

[39:30]the kitchen or she's or she attends a majalis she's part of

[39:36]the community she's volunteering that never shows up on your feet but

[39:40]what shows up on their feet I'm struggling to get into Louis

[39:47]Vuitton it's been like two hours already and I'm trying to buy

[39:50]my Louis Vuitton bag and uh yeah it's just it's been a

[39:56]hard terrible day and uh yes nobody wants to see your nails

[40:11]on social media either okay I just got out of the salon

[40:20]and you know we all know you have nails it's normal every

[40:23]human being has nails men don't want to marry your Louis Vuitton

[40:30]purse nor your nails believe me a man who is ready to

[40:38]get married wants to marry you for your for your morality for

[40:45]your ethics for your patience for your community service for your Haya

[40:55]this is the person you should attract at least this is the

[41:02]person that is ready to settle down and that comes off as

[41:07]superficial you may not be a superficial person a materialistic person but

[41:14]that is intimidating it's intimidating this guy is thinking if she's buying

[41:19]herself a Louis Vuitton purse right now I'd have to buy one

[41:23]every single year and that's only for her birthday and then comes

[41:27]the anniversary and then comes this and then comes that I'm not

[41:29]ready for that believe me it plays a huge role at this

[41:37]moment this is indeed not a joke I guarantee you now let's

[41:43]ask this side do we even need to ask there you go

[41:52]take this from me I know many of you will be upset

[41:55]some of you will not like what I'm about to say if

[41:59]you're a single woman prior to getting married give up the Louis

[42:04]Vuitton bag Give It Up donate it to me I'll know what

[42:09]to do with it do not I know many of the sisters

[42:19]in our community they have a passion for Faith and motherhood and

[42:23]taking care of their families and and Iman and faith and but

[42:31]that's not what's appearing on your feed that's not what you're showing

[42:36]others and that's what guys mean by there are no good girls

[42:41]in our community because he's not ready to settle down for somebody

[42:44]who he thinks he can't keep up with the only way for

[42:51]me to get into her heart is through the Louis Vuitton bag

[42:53]if I can't afford getting her one you know she won't like

[42:59]me she won't love me those are common mistakes that I believe

[43:06]have created a huge roadblock for people in our community to get

[43:15]to know one another another issue is brothers and sisters it is

[43:19]the community centers themselves the leadership in our communities we have many

[43:25]sort of programs now feeding the homeless many many but we do

[43:34]not have a proper method for people to get to know one

[43:41]another now there are some attempts but I don't like them why

[43:44]because the first time this young woman sits across from a young

[43:47]man they have to talk about marriage she doesn't even know him

[43:52]it's very weird for you to sit across from somebody for the

[43:57]very first time salaam alaikum what's your name my name is ale

[44:00]what's your name my name is Fatma how many kids do you

[44:05]want to have just it's weird let them be in a structure

[44:18]where they're attracted to each other's minds intellect spirituality let them get

[44:27]to know each other first without having to talk about marriage without

[44:33]having to talk about things that make things awkward because you know

[44:37]maybe she'll talk to him he'll talk to her maybe they see

[44:40]each other and such and they won't they don't want to get

[44:44]to know each other for marriage foreign the second item on my

[44:53]list that I want to talk about is we have to treat

[45:00]this issue as an act of worship it's not high school anymore

[45:12]now this is not you know a fling or you're just getting

[45:16]to know someone to kill some time no this is about marriage

[45:19]this is about family so treat it like an act of worship

[45:28]why why do I say an act of worship I just told

[45:29]you rasulullah says half of your faith is completed through marriage those

[45:41]are acts of worship do you take them lightly do you go

[45:46]to hajjan you say well I don't have an let me just

[45:50]wear my shorts and show up you don't do that no you

[45:53]want to know all the laws and regulations and rules and you

[45:57]don't want you want to do it right and when you stand

[46:00]up for Salah you don't say well I don't have a vote

[46:03]today let me just pray without Oh no you're going to go

[46:05]and do follow because you know that Salah is incomplete it's an

[46:11]incomplete act of worship it's not even accepted so what about an

[46:17]act of worship that guarantees half of your faith a lot of

[46:22]people don't look at marriage as an act of worship it is

[46:27]a part of your life that is also an act of worship

[46:31]you seek nearness to Allah through this act once you look at

[46:39]it as an act of worship you're going to think differently about

[46:41]it why because can you seek nearness to Allah my brothers sisters

[46:48]listen to me can you seek nearness to Allah through something that

[46:55]is materialistic no you cannot look you cannot completely occupy Allah I

[47:06]want the youngsters to also listen to this I'll kind of make

[47:10]it more relevant so you understand me better you cannot fully bring

[47:17]Allah into your hearts where Allah has the only thing occupied within

[47:25]your heart if there is something else called Dunya the love of

[47:32]this Dunya the materialistic world now that could be you know love

[47:39]for popularity that could be love for money that could be love

[47:43]for political gain that could be loved for you know building an

[47:50]empire whatever it is and I've said this before it doesn't mean

[47:54]that you go broke it doesn't mean that you don't work it

[47:59]doesn't mean that you don't enjoy this life no but you don't

[48:01]let those things control you you are in control they're at you're

[48:09]just they they are at your disposal they don't make you who

[48:15]you are you honor the money you honor the house you honor

[48:20]the car you honor that political position not vice versa so when

[48:35]it comes to marriage and this act of worship don't look at

[48:42]materialistic things because you cannot seek those things and and go towards

[48:47]Allah with them in other words when you're looking at somebody for

[48:55]marriage the first thing on your list should not be looks the

[49:03]first thing on your look on your list shouldn't be looks believe

[49:07]me I know many people many people who have gotten married only

[49:14]because of looks and soon enough it's faded away soon enough she's

[49:22]no longer beautiful in his eyes and vice versa soon enough he's

[49:30]no longer beautiful in his eyes says if a person gets married

[49:47]to someone solely based on their physical appearance and physical attractions they

[49:51]will never find happiness says this and I would take his word

[50:03]for it you know I know people who are not even looking

[50:05]to get married it's not even you know on their list now

[50:13]but as soon as he sees somebody and she's beautiful now he's

[50:17]all of a sudden going to his mom was and his mom

[50:24]of course she has a list of all his cousins and everybody

[50:28]ready for him so he says yes inshallah I'll take you this

[50:31]summer to Lebanon and you get married says no I have found

[50:38]someone and he's blinded now blinded all he wants is to get

[50:42]married to this person but at the end of the day there

[50:45]is something else that you should look for as well her mannerism

[50:52]her Iman her virtues her integrity and I want to also add

[50:59]this it shouldn't be you know it's not the most important item

[51:01]on the list but it is also important her family and also

[51:09]the same thing applies for the Sisters don't marry a man just

[51:17]because he's good looking and the second is money it's it's embarrassing

[51:31]to say it's not the nicest thing to say but it's real

[51:35]so I'm gonna have to say it I'm not here to please

[51:39]anybody besides Allah I see some men going after a woman just

[51:43]because her father-in-law is a millionaire he wants to marry the fathers

[51:49]the father-in-law's money shame on you what kind of man are you

[51:54]what kind of man are you not even a man to marry

[52:00]a woman because of her dad's money take this guy's picture and

[52:25]put it somewhere show it show your father's and sisters as well

[52:32]you know it's nice it's nice to marry somebody who's stable it's

[52:35]nice to marry somebody who has a job it's nice to marry

[52:40]somebody but you know don't picture yourself that there's this guy he's

[52:45]making 250 500 000 1 million a year now at the moment

[52:48]he's driving a Porsche 911.

[52:50]convertible and you picture him he's sitting in a minivan with two

[52:56]cute car seats in the back and he's driving and taking you

[53:01]on a road trip the truth is that's probably never going to

[53:08]happen and after you marry this man who is very wealthy who

[53:11]is Rich who's doing very well for himself he's probably working at

[53:17]least 15 hours a day 14 hours a day he's probably working

[53:19]seven days a week are you ready for that or after a

[53:24]year or two you're gonna say well Habibi I've had enough money

[53:29]I have the Black American Express I shop I I'm bored now

[53:31]you know I want you to spend more time with me he

[53:34]says I can't this is who I am I'm a CEO of

[53:38]this company and I'm you know thinking of pursuing my plans and

[53:41]this and that and next thing you know the money is meaningless

[53:45]now so what do we base marriage for what is the criteria

[53:51]the criteria is told To Us by the master of this modulus

[53:57]saying foreign those should be the number one and two on your

[54:16]list and then other things should be there as well I'm not

[54:21]you know undermining the value of whatever else creates compatibility and understanding

[54:28]in marriage but if there is everything there is money there is

[54:34]looks There Is wealth there but there is no he gets an

[54:38]F if they sh if this woman this young woman every single

[54:47]box is checked except Iman or a club she also fails do

[54:52]not make this mistake also before I conclude I want to say

[55:04]this while in the process while your bachelor and bachelorette getting to
