[0:14]muhammad respected brothers and sisters last night we spoke about the different
[0:36]benefits of fasting and i mentioned four benefits to fasting number one
[0:42]we set the reward of allah azzawajal that states in the hadith
[0:48]whoever fast during the month of ramadan the ultimate grand prize of
[0:51]allah will be given that is paradise number two we said the
[0:57]second benefit of fasting is that fasting forgives us allah forgives us
[1:01]of our sins because of fasting this was number two number three
[1:06]we said the health benefits shakla thank you the health benefits of
[1:11]fasting so the prophet says and we explained how fasting helps us
[1:16]in maintaining a healthy body and healthy lifestyle and number four we
[1:21]said that helping uh that fasting teaches us how to be empathetic
[1:27]and compassionate with the poor individuals by allowing us to feel what
[1:31]they feel to taste the hunger and thirst that they themselves feel
[1:37]tonight inshaallah i will go over the final and maybe the most
[1:40]important benefit of fasting and that is fasting teaches us taqwa allah
[1:48]says in the holy quran who believe fasting has been prescribed upon
[2:05]you just as it was prescribed upon previous nations so this obligation
[2:10]of fasting it's not just for the muslims it's for all nations
[2:14]before islam they were also required to fast after allah says that
[2:19]in the end he tells us why he wants us to fast
[2:22]and we spoke about this yesterday that we should ponder about the
[2:27]reason why we fast during the month of ramadan why am i
[2:30]starving myself for 12 hours 15 hours 18 hours just don't eat
[2:35]don't drink what's the end result out of that what am i
[2:38]really gaining from that the holy quran says you fast during the
[2:40]month of ramadan so that you may achieve taqwa so fasting is
[2:46]only a mean it's only a tool the end result that we
[2:52]all should strive to have is what is takwa what is taqwa
[2:56]what is the definition of taqwa tequa literally means protection taqwa means
[3:03]protecting yourself from sins protecting yourself from the dunya protecting yourself from
[3:10]the temptations of the dunya protecting yourself from vices that may afflict
[3:16]you how do we protect ourselves from the sins let me give
[3:20]you an example that we can all relate to from this example
[3:24]we can all understand how we can protect ourselves from sins because
[3:30]of this pandemic every single one of us became a medical expert
[3:35]alhamdulillah if i were to for example speak to you before the
[3:39]pandemic unless you worked in the you know in a hospital you
[3:42]were a doctor a medical professional a nurse most of us didn't
[3:47]know how to protect ourselves from a virus we just knew some
[3:52]basic things right but now we've all become experts now we all
[3:55]know in order for you to protect yourself from a virus there
[3:59]are two important methods that we have method number one it focuses
[4:05]on having external protection what do i mean external protection stay away
[4:10]from the virus that's why we heard so many things such as
[4:14]practice social distancing right at least six feet wide the idea behind
[4:20]social distancing is that you place a barrier between you and the
[4:23]virus you don't want the virus to come and afflict you so
[4:26]stay away from people you don't know who who's holding who's infected
[4:31]with the virus for example don't shake other people's hands and if
[4:35]you do make sure you wash your hand 20 seconds after that
[4:38]that's why many of us would wash our hands 50 times a
[4:42]day until you know your your hands the skin became as as
[4:45]rough as i don't know what right because how many times we
[4:50]washed our hands we used hand sanitizer likewise why because we want
[4:55]to prevent that virus from entering our respiratory system likewise we heard
[4:59]things such as don't be in enclosed places with others make your
[5:03]activities all outside it's much better if you're in an indoor area
[5:08]make sure it's you know the circulation the ventilation is very well
[5:12]in that area what's the point of all these measures the point
[5:16]of all these protocols is to protect you from the virus you
[5:19]want to stay away from the virus why do we wear this
[5:25]annoying mask because it's protection between me and the virus so that
[5:28]even if the virus made it to me i have this last
[5:32]resort this mask to protect those droplets from entering my body now
[5:37]as i said the point behind all these protocols is to protect
[5:42]yourself your immune system from that virus so that you yourself your
[5:46]immune system doesn't have to fight with this virus because some of
[5:51]us may have a weak immune system and all it takes is
[5:55]a couple of those droplets to enter your body and that's it
[5:58]some people died or you have to go to the hospital and
[6:01]it's not easy you know when we hear that only two percent
[6:04]one percent point five percent died don't look at how many people
[6:07]died look at those individuals that came near death i know certain
[6:10]friends family members that came near death they spent days in the
[6:14]hospital it was the worst days of their lives so the point
[6:17]of this first method is to prevent the virus from reaching you
[6:22]it gives you external protection just like a bodyguard imagine you're a
[6:25]weak individual you hire a bodyguard you tell him to protect you
[6:30]all the time so that you yourself don't have to put a
[6:32]fight this is the first way that we protect ourselves from physical
[6:37]viruses especially respiratory viruses i'm sounding like a doctor in a couple
[6:40]of minutes we will get to the point this is the first
[6:45]way the second way we all know this now we're all experts
[6:47]at this now the second way that we prevent the virus from
[6:52]or protect ourselves from the virus is what by focusing on internal
[6:58]internal protection not external what do i mean internal strengthen your own
[7:03]immune system how make sure your diet is good you're eating healthy
[7:06]foods right make sure you're getting good sleep make sure you're exercising
[7:12]and what's better than all of this ultimately make sure you get
[7:18]the vaccine why because the vaccine gives you internal protection such that
[7:24]even if the virus reached you you can fight the virus you
[7:29]have the proper immune system strong immune system to overcome the virus
[7:33]because remember the first method requires on external methods it's like a
[7:39]bodyguard but the bodyguard could be cut off guard sometimes right and
[7:42]then that attack or that virus or whatever it may be that
[7:47]danger will come to you and you're weak you can't protect yourself
[7:49]so why rely on a bodyguard when you yourself can become strong
[7:54]it's like me myself instead of hiring a bodyguard i go to
[7:57]the gym and i work out every day until i build a
[8:00]six-pack now i don't need a bodyguard now i can rely on
[8:03]my own self so this second method of protection from this virus
[8:08]which we said is making my immune system stronger and taking the
[8:11]vaccine this gives you internal protection this second type is much better
[8:16]than the first why because no matter how much you try to
[8:19]practice the first type social distancing mask wash your hand and hand
[8:23]sanitizer at the end of the day chances are that virus will
[8:27]slip right it only takes a couple of droplets to come inside
[8:31]your body and that's it you'll become infected how many people they
[8:34]tried so much social distancing they wore the mask they they washed
[8:39]their hands they didn't go too many places that are crowded but
[8:41]at the end of the day the virus came to them and
[8:45]they were infected so you need the internal protection because sooner or
[8:48]later that virus will infect you alhamdulillah if you were not infected
[8:51]you're a lucky individual but we never know this is number one
[8:54]number two why it's superior to the first is because with the
[9:00]first method life becomes boring you have to wear the mask everywhere
[9:04]you go we cannot go to crowded places anymore even our majatas
[9:07]look at the social distancing we can't hug we can't shake hands
[9:10]we cannot travel we cannot do this we cannot life has changed
[9:15]the second method ensures that if you take the vaccine you have
[9:18]a good immune system what happens you can live your normal life
[9:20]once again you can go in the middle of an area where
[9:23]there's infected people and nothing happens to you right because you have
[9:28]that inner protection you can travel once again you can crowd with
[9:32]other people and majalis and other places without having that fear so
[9:35]the second type of protection from this virus is much superior is
[9:40]more it's better than the first type because you can practice your
[9:44]life in the normal way this was all how to protect ourselves
[9:48]from a physical virus called the coronavirus in the same way that
[9:53]we have coronavirus we have the flu we have other physical viruses
[9:59]we have spiritual viruses brothers and sisters we cannot see the coronavirus
[10:03]right but it exists why because we see the symptoms we see
[10:06]people coughing we see people sneezing we see people with a high
[10:11]fever these symptoms tell us that there is a virus or else
[10:13]i cannot see it without a microscope likewise spiritual viruses you cannot
[10:17]see it with your eyes spiritual viruses you only see the symptoms
[10:21]you see someone for example he wants to pray salah is boring
[10:26]for them right they keep on missing prayers they don't come to
[10:29]the majalis for example you find they commit so much haram they
[10:32]commit so many sins you find for example a person is arrogant
[10:36]a person is disrespectful a person is stingy a person is greedy
[10:40]these are all symptoms of spiritual viruses that that person has inside
[10:45]their body when it comes to spiritual viruses brothers and sisters likewise
[10:53]taqwa means you protect yourself from that spiritual virus how do you
[10:57]protect yourself from that spiritual virus i think with my example of
[11:00]how to protect yourself from the coronavirus we have understood how we
[11:06]can protect ourselves from sins how we can protect ourselves from the
[11:11]dunya from indulging in the dunya the temptations of the dunya from
[11:17]these vices of the nephs because in the same way that we
[11:20]said there are two methods to protect yourself from physical viruses likewise
[11:26]there are two ways to protect yourself from spiritual vices how number
[11:33]one the first way that we practice taqwa brothers and sisters which
[11:37]means protection from haram right taqwa means what protection from the first
[11:42]way means social distancing there's social distancing that you're all practicing right
[11:47]now because of the coronavirus there's also social distancing from haram stay
[11:52]away from halal how two examples let me give you one way
[11:55]that we practice social distancing and it's a form of taqwa that
[12:00]allah speaks about in the quran is do not the hadith tell
[12:04]us do not befriend evil individuals when someone doesn't pray a girl
[12:10]does not wear hijab for example we're not calling them evil but
[12:12]they're not their practice their actions may not be the best of
[12:16]the actions right i'm a girl that wears hijab but all my
[12:18]friends don't wear hijab i'm a guy that prays for example but
[12:21]my friends don't pray i'm a guy that's obedient to allah i
[12:24]don't commit these harams i don't listen to music i don't eat
[12:27]haram food i don't look at haram lewd material but my friends
[12:31]all do that hadith tell us that when you surround yourselves with
[12:35]evil individuals eventually they will begin to influence you just like when
[12:41]you surround yourself with sick people you will get infected like it
[12:44]or not when you surround yourself with evil friends then you will
[12:50]also get influenced like it or not even if you had the
[12:54]best parents even if you had the best upbringing your parents they
[12:59]raised you in the best way they took you to the majalis
[13:01]they took you to saturday school to sunday school islamic school they
[13:06]taught you everything all it takes is what is one evil friend
[13:09]to take you away and drift you from the path of allah
[13:13]and i know so many stories i don't have to mention a
[13:17]hadith i remember once i went to a place for majalis was
[13:21]a place in canada i stayed at a house of a man
[13:24]truly he was one of the awliya of allah a dedicated righteous
[13:28]devout servant of allah every night i noticed he would pray salatin
[13:34]he was the biggest donor to that masjid i don't know how
[13:39]much 20 30 of whatever profits he made he gave all of
[13:41]and he was a wealthy man he gave all to the masjid
[13:44]it's one man running the masjid such a pious individual his wife
[13:49]cooks food every day for the masjid they're always you could see
[13:52]the noor in their face i heard he's called abu fulan let's
[13:57]say abu you know abu zaid let's say for example he's the
[14:02]father of zaid so i asked you know does zade live with
[14:05]you in the house i never saw him because i stayed at
[14:09]his house i used to have sometimes sahur with them sometimes after
[14:12]but i never saw zaid so i asked him does he live
[14:17]with you he said yes i told him i don't see him
[14:20]i just see your second son he kind of you know tried
[14:25]to walk away from this answer he didn't want to answer this
[14:27]so i knew there's something he doesn't want to answer so i
[14:31]asked someone from the community where's this guy's son he never comes
[14:33]told me sayidna this guy's son is not a muslim he's a
[14:39]christian and son not only he's a christian he's a devout christian
[14:41]on sundays he goes to church that's why you never see him
[14:46]in the majalis that's why you never see him on the iftar
[14:48]table because he doesn't fast he's not a muslim i said subhan
[14:53]allah such a father such a mother they have such a son
[14:56]i told him how did this happen they said it all it
[14:59]took was one friend he had a friend in school he took
[15:01]him on a trip they went on a vacation i don't know
[15:05]where he came back as a christian he put all those poisonous
[15:07]ideas islam is backwards islam is a religion of terror misogynistic christianity
[15:13]is this christianity is that he came back as a christian the
[15:17]father tried so much with him he told them father i'm convinced
[15:21]that christianity is the right religion that jesus was sent to save
[15:24]us you want me to leave what i am convinced i'm persuaded
[15:28]i can't i believe in this subhanallah why one evil friend the
[15:32]best parents one evil friend do not think that our kids are
[15:37]immune from these poisons brothers and sisters all it takes is one
[15:39]friend this is one story and i remember another story i went
[15:43]to another place i was giving majalis i went one year there
[15:46]was a young man who used to attend every night the medjlist
[15:49]every night he would be in the front row his father was
[15:51]a very good father his mother they would always attend the majalis
[15:54]next year i came he's not there i asked what happened to
[15:57]him they told me sayidna this young guy became an atheist he
[16:00]does not believe in allah why they told me because of a
[16:05]friend in school a friend in school kept on putting this poison
[16:08]his mind that there is no god that you know he gave
[16:10]him books of dawkins and i don't know who until he became
[16:14]an atheist and he does not attend the majorities anymore and i
[16:17]can give you examples on and on and on best parents but
[16:22]unfortunately their children were misled because of a friend says in a
[16:28]hadith when your companions are evil you yourself are going to become
[16:37]evil you may not notice it because it's going to be a
[16:40]gradual transition maybe within a year maybe within two years but eventually
[16:44]that evil friend will influence you and then the imam gives an
[16:50]example he says he says just like wind when wind it moves
[16:58]it carries when when wind it goes you know in an area
[17:03]it moves through an area that there's a foul smell the wind
[17:06]will carry the foul smell right it will take it from here
[17:09]to that area like it or not he says this is how
[17:13]we are when you are surrounded by a foul smell meaning someone
[17:16]who is bad influence on me eventually that person's negative traits they
[17:23]will also transfer to me now it may not be a swift
[17:27]transfer it's going to take time but at the end of the
[17:31]day you will be affected by that and the holy quran tells
[17:34]us about this there was a story i mentioned in salaat this
[17:38]year of a man who was the prophet invited him one day
[17:44]or he invited the prophet for a meal he was a mushrik
[17:47]he wasn't he wasn't a muslim the prophet told him that i
[17:51]will not become a muslim until you eat for my food so
[17:55]the man because of you know he felt ashamed he's you know
[17:58]out of respect for rasulullah he said the shahada the prophet it's
[18:02]a very famous pro story the prophet then ate from his food
[18:05]he had a friend this man the end of the day he
[18:08]became muslim maybe it wasn't real islam but sometimes there are people
[18:12]that begin with fake islam you know artificial islam superficial islam but
[18:17]then it becomes genuine it becomes real so this man he had
[18:21]a friend this friend was against rasulullah he hated rasulullah islam he
[18:24]was on a trip he came back he heard the story he
[18:27]kept on telling him he kept on shaming him you became a
[18:31]follower of this man this orphan muhammad you have no shame you
[18:35]have went against the religion of your fathers and grandfathers and your
[18:38]forefathers so he kept on putting him down until this man he's
[18:42]he felt bad he felt terrible because of all that pressure he
[18:45]told them i will not forgive you i will not talk to
[18:50]you unless you go well and you spit in the face of
[18:53]muhammad this man the hadith says he wanted he didn't want to
[18:56]do it but it was that evil friend pressuring him he went
[18:59]to rasulullah he saw him one day he tried to spit at
[19:03]rasulullah but subhanallah allah protected him and that spit came back in
[19:07]his face this was a miracle of rasulullah so anyway after this
[19:13]allah brought down these verse these verses of the quran these verses
[19:32]about this man how it was because of his friend that led
[19:36]him to kuffar that led him to disrespecting rasulullah the regret that
[19:41]he had on the day of judgment he will say i wish
[19:47]i had never listened to that friend i wish i had never
[19:49]befriended him it was all because of him that i committed the
[19:51]haram i didn't want to do it but he kept on pushing
[19:55]me and pushing me until i went and i disrespected rasulullah do
[19:58]you know the regret that we will have that we were good
[20:02]people but it was others that forced us that pushed us that
[20:05]pressured us to do that you know a problem that our young
[20:07]teenagers have today in schools in our societies is for example drugs
[20:12]drugs it's a it's a problem in every community in school especially
[20:17]in high school teenagers that are doing drugs don't think brothers and
[20:22]sisters that all of these youth they're evil kids they have the
[20:26]worst father they are raised in the worst environment no no no
[20:29]some of them are the best kids they're the ones that have
[20:32]the 4.0 g you know grade point average and they have the
[20:36]best parents why do they end up in drugs many times it's
[20:38]because of a friend a friend keeps on yeah try it just
[20:44]once try this marijuana try this i don't know what and then
[20:46]eventually they try it once they try it twice ten times they
[20:49]become a drug addict and then once you try marijuana it doesn't
[20:52]stop there that's why they call marijuana what gateway drug it's the
[20:55]first one that you try but then you end up trying other
[20:59]other things opioids and cocaine and heroin i don't know what so
[21:02]all it it all starts with that push with that pressure of
[21:07]a friend likewise some young people i hear stories they start drinking
[21:13]alcohol why they didn't themselves think of this idea it was a
[21:17]friend they were invited to his house i have some you know
[21:21]something alcohol at the end they say no but he's pressured and
[21:24]pressured until they commit and that's why brothers and sisters we have
[21:27]to be very wary of our kids our you know our sons
[21:31]and daughters who they're hanging out with don't say i raise my
[21:34]child the good way don't say i've done what i have no
[21:37]it can all be undone by one front and i give you
[21:40]examples this is not just from the quran sunnah this is examples
[21:43]i have seen in my life and i'm sure you know many
[21:46]stories that's why make sure your kids are always hanging around with
[21:49]good people all it takes is one rotten apple so this is
[21:55]the first type of social distancing between you and haram do not
[21:59]befriend evil people because when you befriend evil people their bad habits
[22:04]and their bad traits will slowly transfer to you this is the
[22:09]first type of social distancing the second type of social distancing the
[22:14]baits don't put yourself in a position that you can easily be
[22:24]tempted to do haram what do i mean you see let me
[22:27]give you an example say that it is haram for a man
[22:31]and a woman to be in a private room enclosed room if
[22:38]they are not related me and a sister she's not my sister
[22:42]she's not my mahram right maharam people you can see without hijab
[22:47]your sister your mother your daughter your aunt your niece these are
[22:49]your maharan if i am with another woman in a private room
[22:53]there's no other people the door is closed the hadith tell us
[22:59]that this is why the hadith explained the imams tell us that
[23:03]iblis sometimes the imams quote allah sometimes they quote iblis iblis is
[23:07]the devil because they want to tell us of his tactics so
[23:10]we can be careful the hadith tell us that any time i
[23:15]see a male and a female alone in one room i will
[23:18]automatically be the third person he rushes to those areas don't think
[23:22]that you're alone nobody's watching you it's just a you know it's
[23:26]a it's an innocent gathering we're just studying no because the third
[23:31]person is shaytaan you are innocent but the shaytan is not innocent
[23:33]and the shaytan doesn't come to them as you think shaytan comes
[23:36]here why should he come here tell us here but he lost
[23:41]you guys the shaytan goes to areas where he knows he can
[23:44]he has fertile ground for right he goes to those individuals and
[23:49]he starts putting ideas in there in their minds nobody's watching they
[23:54]start getting comfortable they look at each other they smile he says
[23:58]one word she says one word right that leads to flirting flirting
[24:02]could progress and lead to more and more haram until at least
[24:06]sometimes to zina you think zina starts just like that just spontaneously
[24:10]someone wakes up with the sin of course not that's why the
[24:16]quran says don't come close to zina meaning zina's over there don't
[24:19]come close to it social distancing because once you come close to
[24:22]it you will fall in the traps of of the shaytan so
[24:26]stay away from those areas where the shaytan can easily misguide you
[24:30]the shaytan can easily fool you there is fertile ground it's just
[24:33]you and her nobody's watching you get out of this area or
[24:37]go in a public place you want to study with your classmates
[24:40]i'm a male she's a female fine but don't do it in
[24:43]a private room do it where your parents are there other people
[24:46]are there go to starbucks or i don't know where somewhere that
[24:50]is public and do it there so that you cannot feel too
[24:54]comfortable because many times brothers and sisters when the hallam happens at
[24:57]the end it was not planned don't think that they plan to
[24:59]do this it happens upon spontaneous it doesn't happen i'm sorry spontaneously
[25:03]it's one thing leading to the other they didn't plan it but
[25:07]they just say you know it just happened i don't know one
[25:10]thing led to the other and then it just happened don't let
[25:13]it just happen how don't allow the shaytan to take advantage of
[25:19]those fertile times of that fertile ground so practice social distancing this
[25:24]is one example another example of not putting your place yourself in
[25:29]a position where you could easily come on is a brother once
[25:33]asked me this question he says say it i am a hair
[25:36]stylist i'm a barber he says in my store men come and
[25:41]females come and the females they're not muslim they want me to
[25:44]do their hair they want me to do their eyebrows they want
[25:46]me to do all these things on their faces right is that
[25:49]haram or no so i told them look technically speaking if you
[25:53]wear gloves and you are cutting the hair of or whatever you're
[25:58]doing for that female and you're not looking with shahua with you
[26:02]know with lust this is not haram because you're not touching that
[26:07]individual there's no direct contact and you're not looking with lust and
[26:10]that person is not even a muslim anyway but however this is
[26:15]one of those gray areas you're coming too close to the haram
[26:19]they tell us don't only stay away from haram stay away from
[26:24]what stay away from areas that are close to haram don't go
[26:27]too close to the haram i told them look even though technically
[26:32]it's not haram but eventually you will come haram because you're looking
[26:35]at her face sometimes she may be someone beautiful for an hour
[26:38]half an hour that's don't tell me that's going to end just
[26:41]like that maybe once twice eventually that will lead to haram you're
[26:44]going to chat with her you're going to flirt with her flirting
[26:47]is haram brothers and sisters a guy and a girl who are
[26:50]not related they're not husband and wife it is haram for them
[26:52]to flirt this is against the teachings of the holy quran to
[26:56]have modesty with the opposite gender obviously you're going to flirt and
[26:58]that's the least thing you can do if not it's going to
[27:01]escalate to more halaam things don't put yourself in that situation even
[27:05]the opposite is true there are some sisters who are hair stylist
[27:08]a man comes to them is that haram like i said technically
[27:10]they can wear the gloves don't look with lust but realistically it
[27:14]will lead to haram eventually because the shaytan will come he knows
[27:18]there is fertile ground for haram here you guys are face to
[27:23]face you have come to each other why should he try to
[27:26]bring to with each other when we ourselves are face to face
[27:28]he's going to come and try and try and try until we
[27:32]commit this is another example stay away from those situations a third
[27:36]example there are some people as soon as they go on the
[27:40]computers as soon as they go on their laptops they do harm
[27:42]they go on those chatting websites they see lewd material and how
[27:45]do you prevent the shaytan take away the toe the tools that
[27:49]the shaytan can misguide you with turn off the computer throw this
[27:53]smartphone away you can't do that delete that app so don't give
[27:57]the shaytan a tool that he can misguide you with this is
[27:59]what social distancing keep away from anything that will lead to haram
[28:05]another example the hadith tell us don't indulge too much in the
[28:11]dunya dunya even though it may not be always haram but eventually
[28:13]the dunya will possess your heart when you taste the sweetness of
[28:18]the dunya the dunya will possess your heart and then you will
[28:21]become amir al-mu'min says a slave of the dunya you see him
[28:24]he never misses his work he never misses his game subhanallah you
[28:27]see the sunday football game he never misses it it starts at
[28:31]six he turns on the tv he's ready 5 50.
[28:34]right but when it comes to salah salah is 1 30 1
[28:38]30 he's not ready for salah two he's not ready for salah
[28:42]three four five he prays five minutes before sometimes we pray even
[28:45]at night or the next day why because i have become a
[28:48]slave of the dunya i'm not a slave of allah because i'm
[28:50]not dedicated to allah i'm more dedicated to my sunday football game
[28:54]than i am to allah during prayers this is what the dunya
[28:58]does and that's why imam says he says this dunya is like
[29:05]the salt water the more you drink the thirstier you get you
[29:10]think you know what let me take from this dunya and then
[29:13]i will be in sha allah satisfied no you take from the
[29:17]dunya and you want more you say inshallah just if i had
[29:19]a hundred thousand dollars i'll be satisfied but once you taste 100
[29:22]000 you say i want 200 000.
[29:24]you have 200 you want half a million half a million you
[29:28]want a million a million 10 million 100 million a billion that's
[29:31]why we have multi-billionaires today why because there is no end to
[29:35]the greed of the nephs never it's like salt water the more
[29:39]you taste it the more you're going to want it not the
[29:41]more you'll be satisfied that's why when now we have people that
[29:43]have 200 billion right i think i mentioned this we have rich
[29:48]people that own almost 200 billion what's he going to do with
[29:52]that money but this is the greed of the nufs brothers and
[29:56]sisters so that's why one teaching of salam is to try to
[30:00]social distance with the dunya because when the dunya enters your hearts
[30:03]there will be no room for allah azzawajal that's why take the
[30:17]love of dunya out of my heart because as long as my
[30:20]heart loves the dunya we cannot love allah you have to choose
[30:26]either allah or the dunya the heart cannot contain both of them
[30:31]that's why the imam says ya allah please don't let this dunya
[30:36]distract me so so shall distance yourself because once the dunya comes
[30:40]close to you that's it so this is all what the first
[30:42]type of protection from haram this is called taqwa taqwa is social
[30:48]distancing from haram and then there's a second type of protection which
[30:52]is superior to the first this insha allah i will speak about
[30:57]it tomorrow insha'allah ask allah to accept our almighty forgive us of
[31:02]all our sins i ask him to accept our fasting during this
[31:05]blessed month of ramadan and to give us the ability until that
[31:10]we can attain taqwa piety and protection from haram during this beautiful
[31:15]month of ramadan foreign
