[0:11]Allah subhana states in the Holy Quran and what he says is
[0:20]the truth he says in chapter 2 verse 23 if you are
[0:30]in doubt of that which we have revealed to you through our
[0:33]worshipper Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaih then bring me a chapter from someone
[0:38]like him and then call your people and let them bear witness
[0:43]and let's see who's telling the truth and who's lying today we've
[1:01]managed to reach a very important point after proving the legit the
[1:05]legitimacy of the Holy Quran using those five criteria Now we move
[1:12]on to the next miracle and that is that who is it
[1:15]that's going to bring this miracle right who is it that's going
[1:22]to deliver this message because the person who's going to deliver this
[1:27]message is extremely important because him bringing it to you is part
[1:30]of the legitimacy of the message itself if a person who is
[1:34]not a good person comes to you a person who is a
[1:36]liar comes to you and tells you this is the message of
[1:40]God How likely are you to take him seriously not very likely
[1:45]right yeah so that means then that the person who delivers the
[1:48]message for you is extremely important let me give you an example
[1:53]of why this is the case in school we have teachers right
[1:59]when we go to school we said just as they give us
[2:02]a manual or a textbook for every single class that we take
[2:05]there's a textbook right say Ali so but they what they also
[2:08]provide us as a teacher right MJ provide us a teacher so
[2:13]this teacher that they provide us the goal from having a teacher
[2:16]is so that they teach us not only the textbook but what's
[2:21]in between the lines the things that we don't know the things
[2:25]that we don't understand right haer yes haer or Mustafa let so
[2:42]the fact that this teacher is teaching you and is provided to
[2:48]you by the school okay means that what means that they found
[2:51]this individual qualified enough to be able to teach you and to
[2:53]teach you that textbook agreed if you agree say I agree right
[2:57]which means that there has to be a system of accreditation a
[3:00]system through which this individual is qualified to be able to teach
[3:05]you this information agreed if you agree say agree and that is
[3:11]why we have you know uh Educational Systems a whole educational system
[3:14]that has a Department of Education in the university in your local
[3:19]University right in this case the University of Toledo right where the
[3:22]students would go they would learn to become teachers they'd graduate with
[3:26]a bachelor's degree in education then they'd have a practicum that they
[3:30]would have to do maybe even complete a master's right practicum meaning
[3:34]they'd go in school they'd be trained by other teachers they'd give
[3:37]them the credits as well for teaching and then they graduate right
[3:41]with that qualification that oh we found this individual qualified and able
[3:46]right to teach students that are at this grade level for example
[3:51]agreed if it makes sense it makes sense so then we realize
[3:56]that there's a logical necessity for accreditation and qualification right let me
[4:01]give you another example if I wanted to go to a doctor
[4:03]right would I go to a doctor who is uh who is
[4:07]who has graduated with an MD or would I would I go
[4:10]to a person who is a self-proclaimed MD person who obviously went
[4:15]to school studied for four years did their residency for maybe two
[4:20]or three years right and um have their uh degree the university
[4:24]says through this degree that I qualify this individual and I certify
[4:28]that they took all of the necess necessary courses they did all
[4:33]of their clinicals and therefore they are now able to treat you
[4:37]o public agreed if you agree say I agree so then we
[4:42]understand then there's a logical necessity for qualification the question is who
[4:47]is qualified enough to be able to accredit and to qualify the
[4:52]representative of Allah what do you think Allah himself yes could it
[4:59]be another human could it be no would have to be the
[5:04]Creator himself right because Who would know what human beings need to
[5:08]be saved right to please Allah subhana wa tala except Allah subhana
[5:12]T himself and therefore it would have to be Allah who would
[5:17]qualify this individual and accredit them right Muhammad Ali so then based
[5:22]on that then we have to say Okay since we prove that
[5:26]the Holy Quran is legitimately the book of Allah let's see does
[5:30]the Holy Quran reflect this logical necessity that I've just come to
[5:33]because remember now that I have proven that the Quran is truly
[5:37]the book of Allah then what does that mean that means now
[5:39]I go back to it as a reference to check myself to
[5:43]see am I thinking correctly or not because if I'm not thinking
[5:46]correctly right then the Quran will tell me oh listen no no
[5:50]you veered off the path you shouldn't be thinking this way you
[5:52]should be thinking this way so what do we find we find
[5:55]that in the Holy Quran in chapter uh in chapter um 2
[6:10]verse 30 Allah subhah tala says Allah has a conversation with the
[6:17]angels He says to them I am placing always placing on this
[6:23]Earth a representative so then that means that only Allah subhana wa
[6:28]tala is qualified to place a representative EX exactly as we thought
[6:31]the Quran reflects this and not just that Allah said which is
[6:36]in the form of those who have taken Arabic morphology know that
[6:39]this means that Allah is always placing and this will be relevant
[6:44]to us when we look at the successor meaning after this first
[6:48]representative or this representative passes away is God also going to place
[6:53]another representative after him or no according to this verse yes he
[6:56]will and logic dictates of course that God will always place a
[7:00]representative on this Earth otherwise why would he give one generation a
[7:03]representative and he wouldn't give another generation wouldn't that be cruel and
[7:06]we prove that Allah subh T is all perfect which means he's
[7:10]all just therefore he wouldn't be cruel he'd provide us everything that
[7:13]we need right in actual fact he's benevolent his benevolence dictates his
[7:17]l in Arabic his benevolence dictates that he will always provide us
[7:21]with what we need even if we don't know that we need
[7:24]it Mak sense if it makes sense it makes sense all right
[7:30]so now so what qualities then must this uh this uh representative
[7:35]have and does Allah subana in the Holy Quran does he emphasize
[7:40]the fact that he's the one that chooses and appoints and qualifies
[7:44]this individual yes in chapter 3 verse 33 Allah subh says and
[7:56]in verse 34 he says so Allah says in verse that surely
[8:00]Allah does something called which means that he chooses purifies qualifies and
[8:06]appoints who he said Prophet Adam so anybody who tells you that
[8:12]when Adam ate from the tree he sinned no Allah is saying
[8:15]no I chose him purified him qualified him and appointed him so
[8:20]if Allah purifies you do you sin no then our tell us
[8:22]this was right Allah subhana T told him to do something there
[8:27]was no sin at that time right but he gave him some
[8:28]room to be able to think for for himself in this instance
[8:31]and this is what he chose and this was a lesson for
[8:33]us right it wasn't for him specifically to make it this was
[8:38]for us the benefit as we see in many other cases in
[8:42]the Holy Quran with our uh with the uh prophets of Allah
[8:45]so Prophet Adam and Prophet Noah so this verse also tells us
[8:49]that Allah subhana T purified Prophet n and that he chose him
[8:53]to be the most righteous of his generation as is mentioned in
[8:55]Genesis 7:1 right in the Old Testament and that for sure he
[9:01]was not not drunk right because why because Allah purified him qualified
[9:03]him and appointed him for the position of prophethood therefore he would
[9:08]do nothing that is unrighteous right so next is whom is Al
[9:15]ibraim prophet Abraham and his pry right and then Prophet Imran and
[9:19]his progy now Prophet is and Prophet is they come from the
[9:22]progy of prophet ibraim and from the progeny of prophet is the
[9:29]son of prophet ibraim is Prophet Muhammad s muham and of course
[9:40]Prophet Imran is in reference to Prophet Musa Prophet harun sayam Lady
[9:45]Mary and Prophet now so this verse then the verse after it
[9:59]tells us uh um meaning a lineage one from the other okay
[10:03]which means that this position will only be for those who are
[10:10]from this lineage that's it and the only one who was from
[10:12]that lineage during the time of the revelation of the Holy Quran
[10:18]was prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi Ali wasallam who was known to be
[10:22]from benih Hashim from the lineage of uh Abdul mutalib his father
[10:28]was Abdullah right the son of Abdul mutalib and they were in
[10:32]charge basically of the Hajj right and now Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi
[10:37]Ali wasallam at the time was known to be the truthful and
[10:43]the honest one he was so truthful so honest that this was
[10:45]a title that was given to him even by the kuf even
[10:49]by the disbelievers so now we say all right logically speaking the
[10:52]person then who brings this message to the people of that time
[10:57]has to be an individual that is so trustworthy that anyone even
[11:00]if they disagree with him even if they don't believe in what
[11:05]he believes in that if he comes to them and says to
[11:06]them something that they know that it's the truth because they know
[11:08]that this individual would never lie that he is the most honest
[11:13]and he's definitely trustworthy now there was only one person that was
[11:17]like that in that time that was known so well for being
[11:19]that way so much so that he was known as and that
[11:23]was prophet muhammmad and the the the quites at the time when
[11:33]they would travel and go on their business trips they would actually
[11:36]leave their wealth with him and trust their wealth with him right
[11:39]that shows you how interested he was and so imagine if if
[11:44]somebody like that comes to you and tells you you know something
[11:45]and by the way he was also used as a moderator Whenever
[11:50]there would be trouble between tribes or tribal heads he was the
[11:53]one that they would go to to moderate and to make sure
[11:56]that he helps them make amends that's how much he was trusted
[12:00]that's how much they saw him as being a truthful individual so
[12:11]now um keep in mind what what is the role of this
[12:17]individual when it comes to the message we said just like a
[12:19]regular teacher he would have to teach the book right he'd have
[12:23]to tell you what's in between the lines he'd be your Mentor
[12:26]right so what does Allah subhana T say in the chapter of
[12:32]J chapter 62:2 he says Allah subhana says he is the one
[12:41]who sent to them a messenger who is from them right okay
[12:48]from mecah right from to do what so he can teach them
[12:54]the book he can reveal to them the verses of Allah subhana
[12:55]tala he can teach them the book he can teach them the
[12:58]wisdom of Allah and he can teach them how to purify themselves
[13:00]so then what does he become he becomes a teacher and a
[13:05]mentor to them right and an Exemplar to them and Allah says
[13:07]in the Holy Quran and in the messenger of Allah you have
[13:12]a great Exemplar great example for you to follow now does that
[13:17]mean that I should follow the prophet in everything that he does
[13:20]if I want to please Allah yes that just makes logical sense
[13:24]right because since he's the teacher if I want to know how
[13:27]Allah subhana tala wants me to be and what what Allah subhana
[13:32]T wants me to do in my life in order for me
[13:33]to please Allah and fulfill my purpose for which Allah created me
[13:39]then I have to look to him I have to walk the
[13:40]way he walks talk the way he talks do what he does
[13:44]say what he says make sense look in the direction that he
[13:48]looks cast my gaze from what he doesn't look at listen to
[13:50]what he listens and cast my hearing from that that he doesn't
[13:56]listen to reach towards what what he reaches to and uh refrain
[13:58]from that which he refrains from Mak sense if it makes sense
[14:01]it makes sense right so what does Allah subhana tell me he
[14:07]says in chapter 3: 132 Allah instructs me he says look if
[14:13]you want Allah's mercy upon you who doesn't want Allah's Mercy we
[14:17]all want Allah's Mercy right right if you want Allah's mercy upon
[14:22]you he says obey Allah and his messenger which means obeying the
[14:26]messenger is equal equal to obeying Allah that means then that everything
[14:30]that the prophet says is from Allah agreed agreed is there proof
[14:38]of this in the Holy Quran yes in the chapter of chapter
[14:40]53: 3 and 4 Allah says he doesn't speak out of his
[14:50]wh he is surely nothing but Revelation you see this becomes an
[14:55]extremely important verse right because this now becomes the reference reference point
[15:00]and the standard right for dealing with this prophet and dealing with
[15:06]the message itself which means that now this becomes a metric a
[15:10]reference point anyone who defies the prophet becomes a person who does
[15:14]not have the of Allah on him who does not have the
[15:19]mercy of Allah on him if he defies the holy prophet is
[15:21]disobedient to him then what does that mean that means that he
[15:25]is not in the good graces of Allah subhana that Allah is
[15:28]angered with him that Allah does not bestow his mercy upon Him
[15:33]Mak sense if it makes sense it makes sense so if somebody
[15:38]for example Hurts The Prophet's family do you think that that makes
[15:42]the prophet happy or sad sad do you think the prophet wants
[15:47]you to be good to his family or to be bad to
[15:51]his family to be good Allah subhana T even tells the holy
[15:53]prophet to tell us in the Holy Quran say I do not
[16:01]ask you for any reward except that you take care of my
[16:07]n ofen that you show them love and loyalty and kindness and
[16:10]Allegiance I ask that Allah subhana T gives us the to do
[16:17]so now tomorrow inshallah which will be our last lecture we will
[16:20]cover imamat in which we will talk about or in which we
[16:24]will answer the question I should say but what about if this
[16:31]Prophet dies right who is going to come after him now there
[16:33]is something left that we do need to mention before that and
[16:38]that is that this prophet of course who came to the quites
[16:40]was he known and this is part of the miracle as well
[16:46]because not only did he come with eloquent words such that we
[16:48]said said surely it's you know its words are higher and loftier
[16:54]than the highest of Peaks and its depths are deeper than the
[16:57]deepest of of oceans and its um its metaphors are more beautiful
[17:05]than the than the brightest of of uh of rainbows that you
[17:07]know some people might come and say well this Prophet well who's
[17:10]to say maybe he made up these words right so of course
[17:15]the challenge that we mentioned uh uh yesterday was good but then
[17:19]and and of course Allah defeated the disbelievers uh through that but
[17:23]as well you know the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam Allah says in
[17:26]the Holy Quran he says in chapter 36: 69 right Allah subh
[17:38]says in the chapter of Yasin he says we did not teach
[17:39]him poetry nor is it for him to learn poetry Allah determined
[17:45]this is not for him to learn poetry why because Allah wants
[17:47]to show that this Quran is truly from Allah so he wasn't
[17:50]known as a poet so anybody who comes along and says well
[17:51]maybe he was a poet no no he was not known to
[17:55]be a poet The Poets were known at that time right also
[17:59]Allah subhana tala knows that some are going to ask and say
[18:01]well um maybe he made it up himself maybe he learned it
[18:06]from you know past uh uh Scholars from past religions maybe he
[18:08]was a scribe that studied other religions Allah subhana T answers that
[18:12]claim as well in the chapter ofab chapter 29:48 Allah subhana says
[18:18]muham muhamad neither did you study any other book before it nor
[18:33]were you known to write nor did you write it with your
[18:38]right hand and therefore those who are in doubt themselves right those
[18:42]who want to say that oh you're not the prophet of God
[18:45]and this is not the message of God they themselves are in
[18:48]a state of Doubt right because they find this to be unbelievable
[18:51]that somebody like you would come up with these um amazing verses
[18:55]you see so why is it that this response came in the
[19:01]Holy Quran in the chapter ofab because there are those who accuse
[19:04]the holy prophet of having studied under um this uh monk called
[19:10]B when he was 12 years old and he was on a
[19:10]trip to Damascus a business trip with his uncle Abu Talib they
[19:16]stopped just outside of Damascus in an area called Bas with an
[19:19]Al Mak this was a Tavern an area a rest stop where
[19:24]people would stay so that uh they would rest before they would
[19:26]either enter Damascus or leave Damascus so there was a monk who
[19:32]was there and he noticed that Abu Talib his caran with him
[19:34]was a young boy who was who looked like he was about
[19:38]12 or 13 years old and he noticed that there was a
[19:41]cloud um protecting him over him protecting him from the Sun as
[19:44]he was walking he thought this was interesting then after observing him
[19:48]he noticed that he sat under a very important tree known as
[19:51]a tree of prophethood nobody would sit under the tree this tree
[19:55]except for prophets over the course of history so he decides to
[19:58]make a feast he decides to invite Abu Talib and invite the
[20:03]whole Caravan and invite Prophet Muhammad to a feast that night so
[20:06]he invites him and then he tells his uncle let me see
[20:11]his back he sees his back he notices that there's a birthmark
[20:13]known as the Seal of prophethood he says to him take him
[20:19]back this is the awaited prophet um based on you know the
[20:21]the scriptures and what you need to do is protect him take
[20:24]him back to Mecca if you take him to Damascus he will
[20:26]be in danger and so that's exactly what Abu Talib does he
[20:30]takes him back now during this time which maybe didn't last more
[20:32]than an hour and a half maximum two hours right the claim
[20:37]was that Prophet Muhammad learned all of the information that he knows
[20:41]and brought them this entire Quran from whom from B right now
[20:44]of course this doesn't make any logical sense and we can respond
[20:48]very easily in several ways and the simplest of ways is well
[20:50]if B had all of this information before why didn't he claim
[20:56]Prophet with himself right that's number one number two how could anyone
[21:00]give so much information to a child at 12 years old within
[21:02]an hour and a half to 2 hours that's logically impossible makes
[21:06]sense if it makes sense say it makes sense right these are
[21:11]two simple responses there a total of 15 responses we can come
[21:14]up with but you see then it becomes clear to us right
[21:16]not only logically but also quranic right that it has to be
[21:23]that Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alai wasam is truly the prophet of God
[21:26]right and tomorrow inshallah what we'll do is we'll continue inshallah with
[21:33]the topic of Imam the successorship after the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam
[21:35]dies right who's going to take over right they have to be
[21:41]like him they have to be purified like him who were purified
[21:43]like him right to be able to um take on such a
[21:48]role until then we say
