[29:45]s [Music] [Music] [Music] m for [Music] [Music] Muhammad discussion about the
[31:31]life of Imam Muhammad Al Jawad Muhammad Muhammad and especially this discussion
[31:42]takes place in the LA last day or days of the month
[31:52]of the month which follows is D Haj so here we find
[32:01]ourselves that yes we are reciting mjus to honor the noble Imam
[32:09]the Imam who made each and every effort to defend the M
[32:16]of the IM unfortunately he was the only one who when he
[32:26]attained his shahada he was the the youngest Imam 25 years of
[32:34]age he lived in this world only 25 years of age now
[32:36]when we look at the life of Imam we find that there
[32:41]are many lessons for us to learn however we need to remind
[32:47]one another about the month which follows maybe for some it's tomorrow
[32:53]the beginning ofaj or maybe more so we want to mention only
[32:58]few points for the month ofaj to remind ourselves and then we
[33:04]go to the lessons which we learn from the life of IM
[33:15]Muhammad How great is the month of dhaj when as some Scholars
[33:24]say Prophet mam was going to mount T to receive more honor
[33:33]that is Prophet MSA is going to the house of Ali for
[33:48]their wedding it was in the month of ibim and isim ibraim
[33:59]is taking is to slaughter him as per the command of Allah
[34:06]it was in the month of D Prophet Muhammad s alai withi
[34:25]muham muhamad they are going to whom because says that was in
[34:34]the month of Pan park the noble five are going to muala
[34:43]to defend Islam in the month of however husin Allah Muhammad Muhammad
[34:56]he was in the gab ofam he was ready to perform Haj
[35:06]on the eighth of D he had to change his intention to
[35:10]make it as umra and to remove the in order for him
[35:14]to go towards carala that is in the month of dulaj inshallah
[35:20]we will learn a lot and the scholars inshallah who are here
[35:26]will make the effort for us to know something about all these
[35:30]events but tonight we want to honor Imam and Imam who was
[35:37]jaad of all imams M and M what's the meaning of jaad
[35:40]generous we are talking about that IM who was a generous one
[35:47]not only that he was generous in his knowledge and he taught
[35:51]a lot he taught his sheia L wanara during the day and
[36:00]night but at the same time he taught those who are his
[36:03]enemies the opponents they learned a lot from him especially when it
[36:08]comes to how you interpret Quran according to IM Al jaad let
[36:17]us pause here Brothers especially Brothers how many times we go out
[36:22]with our friends we go to eat out sometimes we go to
[36:29]places where when you look back you say ah did I come
[36:31]to this it's very por yeah we show generosities to our friends
[36:38]they show that to us but how many times we treat our
[36:41]families like that especially when you have your wife she's busy she
[36:48]doesn't have time sometimes even we forget them to take to these
[36:51]places while we are known as the followers of IM who was
[36:58]so generous IM Alam not only he was generous in his knowledge
[37:02]he was generous with his money he was generous with his time
[37:09]he was generous with everything family friends if they were to to
[37:14]sit down with him Imam would make sure that they go out
[37:17]with something that generosity of IM Al jaad Alam we need to
[37:24]bring back to ourselves to say number one my family needs to
[37:29]get the need to get that generosity of IM Al jaad because
[37:34]I am the follower of him the IM who was very generous
[37:37]I think if we go inward ourselves and then we come outward
[37:45]to show the lessons we learn from the this will make inshallah
[37:49]the atmosphere to be the atmosphere of the followers of he was
[37:57]known also as because why of piety which was there alhamdulillah every
[38:03]J every Eid every Gathering maana will remind us about tawa tawa
[38:09]tawa we have the IM who is known by his piety we
[38:15]need to try as much as possible to make sure that when
[38:18]it comes to piety Pi people we need to try as much
[38:24]as possible our day new day to be better than yesterday this
[38:29]way we will be able to reach somewhere he also was known
[38:35]as IM because the father is IM all our were born in
[38:48]hij hij either makah or Madina makah the rest were born in
[38:54]Medina except for the six IM they are some narrations which says
[39:01]he was born in Al ABA ABA in the outskirt of Medina
[39:04]only one IM was born in Samar and that is the Imam
[39:09]of our time the Imam who is everyone is waiting for him
[39:16]to come especially now we know that we need time and again
[39:19]to say and this is IM of our time Allah Muhammad muhamad
[39:32]IM Al Jawad according to historians he was born on the 10th
[39:40]of rajab in the year 195 his shahada was on the 30th
[39:45]of year 220 ah and that's why we say he lived in
[39:51]this world only for 25 years there's a point we need to
[39:59]remind one another brothers and sisters as well when it comes to
[40:03]Brothers sometimes it's easy some sisters is easier sometimes the issue of
[40:09]racis racism is still in our some of our communities I may
[40:16]be a racist some of you may be forgive me for me
[40:19]for mentioning this but we need to remind one another but do
[40:24]you know that the IM Al jaad IM Al jaad Alam his
[40:26]mother was an African and even he himself also married a lady
[40:34]from Africa there's no problem with Africa alhamdulillah we come from there
[40:39]and we know how sometimes the life is so beautiful there than
[40:43]wherever we are but if there's a point which we can learn
[40:49]is this that muham mmad Muhammad and all of them were never
[41:04]racists they were never racist and that's why you could see bilashi
[41:11]Ari Amarin y salmani all are together that was the community which
[41:20]made Islam to be Islam but at the same time most of
[41:26]his followers were known as maali maali maybe ex slaves freed slaves
[41:36]they were not pure quray because quray they had that Prestige how
[41:41]can we follow him so the people who saw the right were
[41:44]notr welcome them and these are the people who are known as
[41:50]sh Ali within the groups of you could see majority were not
[41:58]and even now practically in modern times sometimes we hear the discussion
[42:03]people say don't follow this maab this is maab of force don't
[42:06]follow this maab it's the maab of Iranians what do you mean
[42:12]they are not Arabs you say where where the holy prophet which
[42:15]day was he talking about this issue of sectarianism or racism this
[42:22]wasn't his approach and were like that if were racist we wouldn't
[42:31]see Lady to work under but the most important point is when
[42:46]we look at those 313 the generals who will be with the
[42:54]IM of our time the generals will be with many people from
[42:57]around the world if there's racism you couldn't see the followers of
[43:02]IM Alam from all over the world you have Yani and who
[43:09]another one famous one yeah these are not Arabs especially however our
[43:16]are not like that so if we really want to be proper
[43:20]followers of IM of our time to be in that that group
[43:25]of nominated people of course we we shouldn't entertain the issue of
[43:30]racism even in a subtle way we should remove that our children
[43:38]are not like that because why they are raised in environments their
[43:43]environment is totally different compared to ours and it is here when
[43:49]we talk about IM jaad we need to remind ourselves anytime you
[43:54]feel that there is a sense of racism Within Me remove it
[43:59]by remembering [Music] IM today mostly what I want to do is
[44:13]to bring some narrations from IM Al jaad Alam to read them
[44:17]in Arabic and then to try to analyze them look at these
[44:23]aith within our communities are we practicing them or not number one
[44:27]IM jaad Alam lived in a society this was a very interesting
[44:35]Society you have someone like M very cunning khif very very cunning
[44:40]he he is the enemy ofam but at the same time in
[44:48]public he says no I like see I brought IM Al jaad
[44:49]to me how did you bring him he said one day when
[44:54]I was walking with my Caravan or passing along the streets with
[45:00]my Caravan I saw children playing and the children when they saw
[45:03]the Caravan they started running away one of them stood then I
[45:09]was attracted by that I said oh young manam alaykum wum Salam
[45:15]why you are not running away like your friends he said well
[45:20]the road is very wide and there's space for you and for
[45:24]me so I didn't block you so so you can pass I'm
[45:29]here he was attracted by that and then he said well okay
[45:36]you didn't run away you have any reason IM Al jaad as
[45:39]a young IM at that time he said yes well I did
[45:44]not commit any crime for me to run away from you so
[45:49]there's no need for me to run away pause here I remember
[45:51]in Africa you know we have those kind of policemen you have
[45:57]g g g s GSU ffu ffu F yeah the way they
[46:09]say if you then you will see W they hit people it's
[46:14]like they I don't know what kind of people those are GCU
[46:17]ffu they treat they mistreat people so sometimes when you see them
[46:25]even if you have not committed crime you run away why because
[46:29]of fear IM jaad is telling well I didn't commit any crime
[46:34]so I don't need to run away what a logic alhamdulillah so
[46:39]M was attracted he said I want him I want to take
[46:45]him with me after the death of that difficult shahada he brings
[46:58]maon m Imad and he said I want him to be in
[47:00]my court they say this ISR from Al why are you bringing
[47:07]a a child he said you don't know what he's gifted with
[47:10]but you will see say okay and he said no not only
[47:16]that after sometimes I want to marry him to my daughter cuz
[47:22]I want to get that owner of IM Al jaad here he
[47:28]started showing what are in terms of knowledge you know the story
[47:32]of this used to terrify people as a chief Ki you can
[47:39]call him he is a Minister of Justice he asked difficult questions
[47:45]he come to IM jaad and he say I have a question
[47:47]in front of everyone what's the kafar experation when someone performs a
[47:54]wrong act in Hajj what's the kafar IM looks at him and
[48:02]he said your question is not clear it's not clear it's vague
[48:05]he says no this is a question he says okay tell me
[48:10]your question are you asking about someone who was wearing for or
[48:16]for then he's he he's attracted by the question says is this
[48:23]which you talking about was it warn by a free bonded person
[48:31]or by slave I said no my question is about if someone
[48:34]was wearing and then he went for hunting he said yes and
[48:41]that which he hunted was it because he was in hunger he
[48:44]didn't have any food and he went to to do hunting because
[48:49]he wanted to eat or was it just for a spot and
[48:53]Imam continued to ask him was it during the day or night
[48:58]near ala or far away he said well I don't know so
[49:00]why did you ask the question he doesn't have any answer this
[49:07]is from this is the community Imam lived so now listen to
[49:18]this narration IM says if a an ignorant person keeps quiet people
[49:40]would never be divided if an ignorant person keeps quiet the community
[49:49]will not be divided oh so Imam you're telling us that one
[49:54]of the reasons why laugh is there within people is when Jah
[50:02]speaks he says yes and now you put this into practice you
[50:07]will see in many places when they are divisions it's because they
[50:13]are Jal plural of Jah they want to speak about things which
[50:17]they don't know and even sometimes in highest positions highest places you
[50:22]can see they are Jal who are interfering even within their FA
[50:27]of the and that's why we have but unfortunately for the Jah
[50:42]most of the time he doesn't know that he is Jil Jah
[50:45]and IGN ignorant person he thinks he knows while he doesn't know
[50:52]so the problem is he doesn't know and he doesn't know that
[50:55]he doesn't know so he causes problem to people when he speaks
[50:58]like he knows and it is says when you say I don't
[51:16]know you have half of knowledge you know half of knowledge what
[51:19]does it mean when you say I don't know it means that
[51:23]I know that I don't know but just doesn't know and he
[51:29]doesn't know that he doesn't know Imam says before we speak we
[51:33]should ask ourselves do I know this and that is point number
[51:39]one number two IM talks about blessings BS whatever Allah has blessed
[51:49]you with he says when you have a blessing a and you
[51:59]don't thank Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala for that it is like you
[52:05]have committed a g and then you don't ask Allah for forgiveness
[52:08]how many blessings we have Allah subhanahu wa says if you thank
[52:18]me for any I will give you more IM muhamad Imam says
[52:32]in his narration that if you thank Allah subhanahu wa taala for
[52:38]one blessing that blessing will make you to know that you have
[52:42]another one and another one and another one eventually you will be
[52:49]busy thanking Allah for this n and that and that blessing brothers
[52:53]and sisters we need to evaluate how many blessings we have and
[52:56]in order for you to enjoy them don't look at those who
[53:02]are better than you financially better than you in terms of health
[53:06]better than you in terms of children better than you in terms
[53:12]of dwellings look at those who are below you and then say
[53:16]Where am I and where are they then here you will thank
[53:21]Allah subhah tala for any blessing if you don't thank Allah for
[53:25]that IM Alam says it it is as if you have committed
[53:30]a sin and you don't ask for when it comes Toba IM
[53:35]Alam lived in a community where people used to commit sins we
[53:39]have two types of people mum and non mum IM says when
[53:46]sometimes we become aware of sins which we have committed remember you
[53:51]TBA you do is on the four bases four principles he calls
[53:57]them he says your is on the basis of four pillars pillar
[54:09]number one you have to feel sorry in your heart why did
[54:13]I commit that I feel guilty why why why that sense it
[54:21]brings Sparks in your heart he says that is point number one
[54:24]you need to remember in your heart so don't talk in public
[54:29]you know sometimes Shan isanan makes us to enjoy the the G
[54:34]which we committed and we talk we publicize them I used to
[54:37]do this no no no don't do that Imam says number one
[54:41]feel sorry in your heart number two ask Allah subhanahu wa tala
[54:48]by using your tongue say don't just say I feel sorry in
[54:57]my heart no any other action no and if we were to
[55:02]remember the we committed since the time of we would be very
[55:06]busy asking Allah subhanahu wa tala for number three he says do
[55:14]Action Now use your limbs in order for you to ask Allah
[55:22]for forgiveness I didn't pray now pray I didn't observe fasting fast
[55:27]put it into action and the fourth one you need to take
[55:36]a resolution that you will not go back again to that sin
[55:38]which you have committed so he says these four pillars are connected
[55:45]with TBA first of all you feel sorry in your heart number
[55:48]two you use your tongue to say and number three you use
[55:54]your limbs to do whatever action you're supposed to do and didn't
[55:57]do and the final one make sure you don't go back to
[56:03]that which you have committed Imam Muhammad Al ja it is as
[56:11]if he lived in a in a time which we living in
[56:15]you know there was a a particular shh by the name Abdul
[56:22]Hamid Kish Abdul Hamed Kish he was a blind he used to
[56:29]live in Egypt during the time of those presidents who were there
[56:36]they used to torment the scholars he was put in prison many
[56:40]times blind why because he was to he he used to speak
[56:45]the truth one day he gave a talk and he said the
[56:48]newspapers have written has passed away however IM at that time time
[56:57]didn't pass away he said why are you saying he died while
[57:03]he is not dead why did didn't you mention Sultan kabo he
[57:07]used to be the Sultan of Oman or other presidents he mentioned
[57:16]he says it's because he sulan is from USI is not from
[57:19]us he even though he was a blind Sheikh from the majority
[57:26]of Muslims in Egypt but he used to speak the truth Imad
[57:31]today he says Whenever there is Injustice there are three criminals who
[57:49]are partners in crime wherever there is Injustice number one he says
[57:55]the one who is the actor the one who commits Injustice number
[58:01]two the one who helps him to commit Injustice number three the
[58:06]one who is happy to see the Injustice is committed he says
[58:13]these three people are partners in crime today what we see in
[58:18]the Middle East whatever is happening there you wonder and how many
[58:24]times we hear especially from our children and especially from The Young
[58:27]youngsters who go to university mashallah Allah has gifted them nowadays they
[58:33]see things which we didn't see in UK in America in Canada
[58:37]in other places did you imagine even a single day that a
[58:41]time will come children who are not Muslims some of them actually
[58:48]they are not even Christians they say no we will stand with
[58:51]the people injustices committed against them we we never even thought that
[58:55]this would come IM Alam is talking about this that there will
[59:01]be people who will not be happy to see injustices committed they
[59:04]will stand because if we are happy to see injustices committed we
[59:09]are partners in crime and you know what Amir you know when
[59:23]he was hit by Mal ABD and IM was in pain just
[59:29]before he passed away he calls IM Hassan and Hussein he says
[59:33]my sons come here I want to give you my will he
[59:40]he said many things but one of the lines he said make
[59:52]sure you stand against theim and Mum stand for him help the
[60:00]mum the one who is committing Injustice stand against him the one
[60:06]who is oppressed stand for him help him this is the mother
[60:11]of IM is telling us that whenever we see you need to
[60:20]ask yourself where are you standing with what you see either you
[60:23]may become aalim or you may become one who helps theim or
[60:29]you may be happy to see the is been committed he says
[60:35]don't be one of the three people but the last one which
[60:38]is so big he says within our communities we have people like
[60:44]ourselves we live a two kind of lives a life we live
[60:51]in public and the life we live in private you may see
[60:57]me in private as a different person in public as a different
[61:01]person and sometimes we do that IM says never ever become W
[61:19]of Allah never ever become a friend of Allah in public and
[61:23]you the same one you become the enemy of in private never
[61:28]try as much as possible to be seen as the same person
[61:34]and that's why when we pray what do we say we don't
[61:45]know except with this particular individual why because in public we saw
[61:49]him like that and in private we saw him like that however
[61:52]when it comes to our time of death when it will come
[61:58]Imam reminds us about a reality he says remember the time of
[62:13]your death your death when the time of your death comes remember
[62:17]two [Music] things there will be no there will be no physician
[62:30]there will be no GP no doctor to stop death to comes
[62:34]however there will be no any Habib any beloved one to stop
[62:40]you not to die so it's you make sure you prepare that
[62:43]ground for you before death comes and it is here when we
[62:48]come to know that Imam Al jaad was observing fasting it's highly
[62:56]recommend commended in the month of to observe fasting at least on
[63:04]the day of the day ofaa IM Al jaam was observing fasting
[63:08]according to Dr Ahmed very fine scholar from the Iraqi Community he
[63:15]passed away he said IM Al jaad was observing fasting when he
[63:26]was fasting mut at that time was Theif M passed away then
[63:35]mut Abbas came to power two years within the reign of Al
[63:39]mutwakil he decided to finish IM Al jaad when im Al jaad
[63:47]was observing fasting he mut bribe one of the ladies to take
[63:58]poison to put in thear of IM Al Jawad Alam can you
[64:02]imagine when Imam ate that what he was given he came to
[64:07]know he realized that this is the poison which was prepared to
[64:13]kill him he recited different types of because his time comes according
[64:22]to Ahmed he says at that time IM Al Jawad was alone
[64:25]in his house no one was there with him he was in
[64:30]pain for 3 days for three days he was in pain and
[64:38]the third day Imam passed away he attained his Shah people of
[64:49]Iraq especially that area in Bagdad or outskirt of Bagdad where IM
