[0:00][Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] alhamdulillah [Music] muham muhamad a question question that
[1:04]many times people ask is how relevant and how important should religion
[1:15]be in our lives we see so much Bloodshed we see so
[1:24]much violence and fighting and dispute within communities within Nations within group
[1:31]groups of people many times that dispute it goes back to religions
[1:40]and some people they say that it is the religions that are
[1:47]the source of fighting and dispute so let's just forget about religions
[1:53]Let's ignore all religions and act like there's no religion so that
[2:00]we will have Peace So that we will establish peace and there
[2:04]will be no more problems and there will be no more Bloodshed
[2:08]and there will be no more struggling and we don't need all
[2:18]this religion talk anymore because now we have science we have technology
[2:25]we are in 2016 we don't need the talk of religion anymore
[2:31]because it is irrelevant now there are other ways that we could
[2:36]solve our problems today and we don't need to go back to
[2:43]religion go back to Faith to solve our problems because now technology
[2:48]and science and advancement in medicine it is solving the problems that
[2:54]people used to go back to religion to before to solve now
[3:00]now we have science and technology and medicine so there's no need
[3:04]to go back to religion people used to fool themselves they used
[3:10]to say let's go to religion let's turn to God they create
[3:13]a God and they create a religion a system of life so
[3:17]that they could fool themselves when they are struggling when someone dies
[3:22]in their family when someone has a disease in their family when
[3:28]they're struggling they go back to the religion to seek Refuge this
[3:35]is a very common argument that many atheists and many people who
[3:40]are against religion make today and you find this especially if you're
[3:47]in the universities in the academic arena you will find many people
[3:52]in the name of Academia in the name of Science in the
[3:55]name of technology in the name of advancements they rical religion talk
[4:01]about against religion saying because we've solved our problems right now and
[4:07]we have the forms to solve our problems today and therefore religion
[4:17]is irrelevant in our lives we don't need religion because we have
[4:21]the brains to solve our problems and this is not just talk
[4:29]this actually study actually show that there are many people especially here
[4:34]in the United States in the west they are actually going towards
[4:38]this belief system the Pew Forum on religion and this is one
[4:44]of the top uh organizations that does statistics statistical analysis in America
[4:50]it's known the Pew Forum on religion and public life released a
[4:55]study two years ago that found that 20% of Americans say that
[5:00]they have no religious affiliation they have they're they're they don't go
[5:06]back to any religion in their lives and that is an increase
[5:14]from 15% in The Last 5 Years so within within 5 years
[5:16]it increased 5% and this is a huge number if you look
[5:21]at the whole population of America within five years 5% of people
[5:27]they say that they don't feel that religion is relevant and they
[5:33]don't they don't have any religious affiliation so now here's the question
[5:42]how relevant is religion in our lives how relevant should religion be
[5:48]in our lives and what is the role that religion should have
[5:52]in our day-to-day lives there's one argument that I mentioned earlier where
[5:57]a group of people say they don't need religion anymore but the
[6:01]answer is religion is as relevant today in fact more relevant today
[6:07]than it was probably a thousand years ago or 500 years ago
[6:13]because the problems that we are facing today are also much greater
[6:16]than the problems than the challenges that people faced 500 years ago
[6:20]and a thousand years ago so religion is not outdated science and
[6:26]technology and advancements they have not come and erased and removed the
[6:33]need for religion and the problem that many people say the problem
[6:38]is religion it is not because of religions it's because of people
[6:42]that are hiding behind religions it's because of politicians that use religions
[6:47]to carry out their own agenda isn't this what we Muslims have
[6:54]been trying to prove to the world that Islam is not a
[6:56]religion of violence Islam is not a religion of terrorism it's a
[7:01]group of people people that are using Islam that are using religion
[7:04]to carry out their own agenda and Islam is not the only
[7:06]religion that has to deal with this problem you look in history
[7:10]you see that Christianity had to deal with this problem C Catholicism
[7:14]had to deal with this problem Judaism has and had to deal
[7:18]with this problem and every religion every religion there's a group of
[7:25]people that Resort behind religion to carry out their own selfish desires
[7:28]and their selfish needs but then when we look at the essence
[7:35]of religion most religions we see that they call for peace they
[7:40]call for love they call for worshiping God and creating a system
[7:45]of relations within within people within Society this is the two main
[7:49]purposes of religion building a vertical relationship with Allah and second a
[7:55]horizontal relationship with people in society with you this is is the
[8:02]purpose of religion of course every religion has its own way but
[8:06]overall this is the main function of religions so religion and specifically
[8:11]Islam is not outdated and we are in need of religion today
[8:18]just as people needed it back then and in fact we need
[8:21]it even more today than people needed it before because the problems
[8:25]that arise today they are more now there's also another argument that
[8:32]you find many atheists and many people who are against religion they
[8:37]use they say that religion contradicts science religion and science do not
[8:43]go hand in hand they are always bumping heads they're always against
[8:50]one another now this may be true with some religions for example
[8:53]you look at the history of the Catholic Church you look at
[8:57]the history of Christianity you see that they waged a war against
[9:02]science an advancement of science from scientists the first scientists Galileo and
[9:07]many of the scientists they were imprisoned and they were probably executed
[9:12]and they were excommunicated from the church and from the community because
[9:17]they were establishing a scientific lifestyle but then you come and you
[9:23]look at the religion of Islam now that argument yes probably some
[9:27]people could use it against certain religions but it can not be
[9:31]used against Islam because Islam and Science and logic they go hand
[9:34]in hand Islam in fact it's a scientific religion it's not based
[9:41]only upon believing where you find other religions they'll tell you just
[9:45]believe and you will be saved Islam does not say just believe
[9:48]and you will be saved believing is half of being saved the
[9:55]other part is having the other part is reaching certainty based on
[9:59]logic and you cannot reach certainty in Allah subhah wa ta'ala you
[10:03]cannot believe in Allah until you use your intellect and you use
[10:09]your mind this is why you look at the verses in the
[10:23]Quran the Quran probably every page in the Quran you see that
[10:30]it refers to some type of seeking knowledge some type of pondering
[10:33]some type of thinking the religion of Islam wants you to think
[10:42]so Islam for someone to say that Islam contradicts science and scientific
[10:48]advancement this is very false and if you look at the history
[10:53]the history you will see that the start of scientific advancements it
[10:58]started Ed where started with Islam started in Muslim countries in Bagdad
[11:07]it started under the guidance of our IMS IM under the guidance
[11:16]of Al and the religion of Islam and therefore today you look
[11:23]at our Scholars you look at our fukah you see that Muslim
[11:27]countries especially specifically the school of you see that they are the
[11:32]most lenient when it comes to advancement in science when it comes
[11:39]to some types of research stem cell research some types of advancements
[11:43]that you would have to have scientific advancements you see that the
[11:47]religion of Islam and specifically the of it is the most lenient
[11:55]when it comes to these issues because we have a common principle
[11:58]this common princip principle that we took from the Quran and we
[12:05]took from the and this principle tells us everything is halal unless
[12:15]you have certainty and proof that it's Haram so unlike many other
[12:20]religions and many other belief systems where they tell you everything is
[12:23]wrong until we tell you it's right Islam says no everything is
[12:27]okay until we tell you until you have proof that it's wrong
[12:33]and this is the beauty of Islam and specifically the of so
[12:38]we see that Islam does not contradict science and Islam does not
[12:42]contradict and go against advancement in medicine in technology in science and
[12:51]in any type of advancement scientific advancement however on the other hand
[12:55]for the group of people that say we don't need religion and
[13:00]religion should not have a role in our lives because we have
[13:05]solved our own problems with our own methods you ask them where
[13:12]are your advancements and your technology and your money and your level
[13:18]of knowledge that you have reached even though even though Allah subhana
[13:21]wa ta'ala says that the human has reached a very small level
[13:28]of knowledge we think that we have reached a very high level
[13:31]of knowledge Allah says in the Quran that the that you have
[13:38]is something very little compared to the whole creation what we know
[13:43]is something very little but you find that the human being he
[13:46]learns a few things and he becomes so arrogant he starts saying
[13:53]he starts considering himself to be God so you ask these people
[14:03]the ones who say that we don't need religion anymore you ask
[14:06]them has your so-called knowledge that you have reached has that stopped
[14:12]suffering on Earth has that stopped poverty has that stopped people from
[14:18]feeling the hunger they will say No in fact there are probably
[14:24]more people feeling hungry today in fact there are probably more people
[14:28]suffering today so this is on one hand on the other hand
[14:34]you ask them has your advancement and what you claim to be
[14:40]enough and you don't need religion anymore has that stopped you from
[14:43]feeling sadness and have that has that stopped you from feeling The
[14:51]Emptiness within yourself they will also tell you no the there's a
[14:55]rising there's a rising rate of depression of stress of people feeling
[15:00]lonely despite the fact that they have millions of dollars they have
[15:04]so much you give a person millions of dollars will that remove
[15:11]will that change the feeling in the heart no because Allah is
[15:14]Allah is the one that changes the hearts someone could have everything
[15:20]in this life but they could still feel miserable why because the
[15:27]hearts are locked and when the heart is locked it will not
[15:32]feel happiness unless you have a higher for a higher power bringing
[15:37]happiness and bringing Comfort to the heart and this is why Allah
[15:41]says in the [Music] Quran it is only through the remembrance of
[15:55]Allah that the hearts will find comfort and stability now someone could
[15:59]tell you I'm happy with their millions and billions of dollars that
[16:05]they have but you see that this person will have so many
[16:10]other social diseases one example is Donald Trump Donald Trump he has
[16:15]billions he doesn't know what to do with his money but you
[16:18]find the things that he is saying and the social problems that
[16:24]he has and the way that he's lying it shows that there's
[16:27]an emptiness inside it shows that there's something missing but when someone
[16:34]has Allah subhana wa ta'ala they will have the full happiness and
[16:39]the religion of Islam does not stop you from advancing in technology
[16:43]and science and in anything that you want in fact the religion
[16:48]of Islam does not tell you how rich you could be it
[16:50]does not stop you from being rich it does not stop you
[16:55]from business from doing many things everything is halal unless just a
[16:58]small few things that are Haram but there are some groups of
[17:04]people they leave everything 99% of the things that are Halal and
[17:07]they follow the 1% that is Haram so religion it is meant
[17:16]to there is a another aspect of religion there's two sides of
[17:23]Our Lives the human being we have two Dimensions we have the
[17:26]materialistic Dimension and this has to to do with our body the
[17:32]physical features yes probably I could find comfort in that sense but
[17:37]where how could I guarantee to find Comfort when it comes to
[17:40]the other dimension and that is the soul and that is the
[17:43]spirit how can I remove fear fear is something that it could
[17:50]not no one could remove it nothing could remove it how could
[17:53]I remove death eventually every single one of us will die within
[17:59]our soul within our cells there is a programmed death a cell
[18:07]is programmed to die at one day or another how can I
[18:11]stop that how can I feel remov the fear and remove the
[18:15]burdens and remove the depression and remove the stress that I have
[18:21]facing my own reality that one day I will leave this life
[18:24]we find that through Allah subhah wa ta'ala we find that through
[18:29]comfort in building a bond with Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala thus there
[18:37]is a dire need to have spirituality in our lives and everything
[18:41]that the people that say we what we have today advancement and
[18:47]technology and everything they will say that that will bring happiness but
[18:51]yes it may bring happiness in the materialistic realm but it cannot
[18:55]bring happiness when it comes to the spiritual side it it does
[19:00]not bring happiness when it comes to the intangible needs that we
[19:04]have and that comes only from Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala another very
[19:12]important issue for the ones that say religion is not relevant and
[19:19]that issue is that the advancements that we have reached today has
[19:25]that stopped the suffering that we have today has that stopped the
[19:29]oppression that we see going on on Earth today yes before people
[19:34]probably used to fight with swords maximum a few hundred a few
[19:40]thousand people would be killed in a war today how many people
[19:44]are being killed every day because of the advancements because of the
[19:49]sophisticated weapons how many people are being killed millions of people thousands
[19:54]of people are dying every day because of all of the sophistication
[20:00]and there's so much oppression that's going on today today we see
[20:07]that there are so many social problems so many spiritual problems yes
[20:12]probably before people they did not live very comfortable when it comes
[20:17]to the materialistic lifestyle you see probably 50 years ago 100 years
[20:24]ago you see a huge family 15 20 people they are crammed
[20:27]in one small house today yes we were able to build huge
[20:32]houses but you find a huge house that's empty there's no love
[20:37]in that house there's no compassion in that house there's no dialogue
[20:42]in that house so what has that done to us yes I
[20:44]have a big house I have a fast car but what is
[20:49]what did it do to me what kind of Happiness did it
[20:52]bring to me so when we think of religion it reminds us
[20:57]and when we think of Allah tala it reminds us of the
[21:00]intangible needs that we have and that is only answered through religion
[21:09]and through the correct form of religion of course not any type
[21:14]of religion another issue today you look at human rights for the
[21:18]ones who say we don't need religion anymore religion is irrelevant who
[21:24]brought human rights who taught us human rights you look in the
[21:31]history and you see 200 300 years ago from this long human
[21:35]history finally people started thinking of some some rights to give to
[21:41]people human rights here in the United States women were allowed to
[21:44]vote just a few decades ago just a few decades ago there
[21:52]were slaves here there was separation based on Races there's one water
[21:57]fountain for the colored and one water fountain for the whites this
[22:00]is just a few decades ago and then you come and you
[22:06]look at the religion of Islam Allah subhana tala in the Quran
[22:13]says Allah subhana wa ta'ala 1,400 years ago tells everyone that everyone
[22:19]is created equally from One Soul all of you are from the
[22:27]children of Adam and Adam is from soil we all go back
[22:30]to the soil so why should I think that I'm better than
[22:36]someone else why should there be Wars and fighting based on color
[22:39]based on race based on ethnicity Allah subhana T says in the
[22:45][Music] Quran this is what the religion teaches us we created you
[23:02]all from one soul and we created you in tribes and communities
[23:06]for what so that you fight with one another so that you
[23:11]steal each other's resources so that you go and you attack another
[23:14]country and you steal all the resources that it has no so
[23:20]that you get to know one another and then Allah says where
[23:29]you see just a few decades ago communities that consider themselves so
[23:35]Advanced they were living a segregated lifestyle based off Prejudice and based
[23:40]off superiority you see that the religion of Islam it brought equality
[23:49]between someone who is from Persia and someone who's from Arabia someone
[23:54]who's from Ethiopia and someone who is from Rome someone who is
[23:59]from Arabia this is what Islam brought for us you see he
[24:05]was able to establish social justice in a society in a time
[24:12]where there were so much class different classes and different communities he
[24:21]brought b b to be the spokesperson of Islam to be the
[24:24]MU the one who calls people for prayer this is the first
[24:29]thing anyone that enters the Muslim Community the first thing that they
[24:33]will see and the first thing that they will hear is the
[24:35]voice of Adan and the voice of Bal who was a freed
[24:40]slave and Bal one thing about him he used to he was
[24:46]not able to say the sheen so he used to instead of
[24:50]saying he used to say so some of the Arabs they were
[24:58]very arrogant just like in some countries we see today they came
[25:05]and they told they told how can you allow this non-arab EXs
[25:13]slave to recite the aan when there are so many Arabs and
[25:17]the Arabs they were so proud of their language this if there
[25:20]was one thing that they were proud about it was their eloquence
[25:26]and their language one of them he he saw Bal reciting thean
[25:29]on the he said he said one of the one of the
[25:42]Arrogant individuals he who was fighting but he was an Arab he
[25:50]says I did not imagine that I would live to see this
[25:55]black crow on the Kaa performing thean and then some of them
[26:02]they would come and they would tell he's not even pronouncing it
[26:05]correctly he says told them when B says in the eyes of
[26:18]Allah it's ASU don't worry about the way he says it and
[26:21]this is how was able to establish social justice muham muhamad and
[26:36]it's not only B someone could say yes this is one example
[26:42]that we hear the speakers they mention every time go and look
[26:45]at our imams the imams of the you see that most of
[26:51]our imams most of the imams of the their skin color was
[26:58]dark they had dark skin color and do you see that the
[27:05]imams when it came to marrying getting married they did not have
[27:08]this Prejudice and racism that we see we still find today in
[27:12]Muslim communities they did not have that one person one Imam who
[27:20]we are commemorating today on the the his marm is on the
[27:23]25th of is IM his mother was she was from Morocco which
[27:32]is a part of Africa Imam he was not racist he did
[27:40]not have Prejudice when it came to marrying someone who was from
[27:44]different color or different racial background different ethnicity because the religion of
[27:50]Islam teaches us that the only thing that you should look for
[27:55]is for the tawa for the pety and nothing else else and
[27:59]you see that most of our imams if you if you read
[28:04]their biography you see IM they say he had dark skin Imam
[28:07]he had dark skin IM Jawad he had dark skin most of
[28:11]our imams many of them their skin color their tone of their
[28:15]skin was dark so why is there continued Prejudice in some Muslim
[28:22]communities another issue that the religion of Islam was able to move
[28:29]was hunger and poverty until today you find that there is poverty
[28:38]according to the United Nations 1/8 of the 7.1 or 7.2 billion
[28:41]people on Earth suffer from chronic undernourishment one8 of the people on
[28:49]Earth they suffer from chronic undernourishment what has the group of people
[28:55]that say our advancements we don't need need religion and religion is
[28:58]not is not relevant anymore religion should not play a role in
[29:05]our lives anymore what has that done to remove the poverty what
[29:07]has that done to remove the undernourishment and then you go back
[29:12]and you look at the Quran Allah subhah wa tala says eat
[29:20]eat everything is halal whatever is halal eat and drink do not
[29:30]waste a very important rule that if we live by in our
[29:33]lives we will be able to abolish and remove poverty and people
[29:41]suffering how many times do we throw away food that is edible
[29:45]how many times do we throw away food that other people they
[29:50]will probably die for and they will give so much money just
[29:56]to have a bite of food this is a rule in the
[29:58]the Quran Allah does not love the ones Allah does not like
[30:09]the ones who waste Allah subhah wa ta'ala gave us this Earth
[30:14]to live on it has so much resources it has so many
[30:21]things that everyone on Earth could live with a full stomach everyone
[30:23]on Earth should be able to live they should have access to
[30:30]water water to food to housing to everything it is the rules
[30:33]that we brought people they came and they created borders and they
[30:36]said this group of people is not allowed to cross into this
[30:40]land this group of people because they have this citizenship they are
[30:43]not allowed to come here and this group of people they we
[30:46]created these it is the human being that has created the suffering
[30:50]it is not Allah it is not religions that have created suffering
[30:53]it is people that created suffering you look at the look at
[31:02]our role models the leaders of the did the discriminate when it
[31:18]came to giving did they say this is from my community I
[31:21]only give to this person in fact they did not even discriminate
[31:25]against someone who was not a Muslim the a was not a
[31:30]Muslim they did not say I'm not giving this person because this
[31:32]person is not Muslim why do we discriminate today when the they
[31:36]never discriminated another thing that the religion brought and specifically the religion
[31:45]of Islam is that it brought love and compassion within the hearts
[31:51]of course unfortunately we don't find that love within the Muslim Community
[31:56]the love that we are supposed to have Allah says in the
[32:06]Quran the ones who believe and they do good Allah subhah wa
[32:13]ta'ala creates love in the hearts of others towards them there should
[32:17]be a loving relationship as long as I consider myself a m
[32:24]there should be a loving relationship between the we should deal with
[32:27]each other with love with compassion this is why we have numerous
[32:32]many many narrations give your M brother or sister in faith 70
[32:42]excuses how many excuses do we give people and Allah subhanahu tala
[32:49]also says one of the qualities one of the qualities and characteristics
[33:03]of a m is someone the ones who Give in secret and
[33:13]private and then the ones who control their anger and then they
[33:23]forgive people that have harmed them and wronged them and this verse
[33:29]it has a story with Imam he had a slave of course
[33:40]at that time there were many slaves in society and the imams
[33:47]of the ah B they would purchase slaves not to abuse them
[33:50]and exploit them but rather to educate them to give them better
[33:54]lives and then they would free them if you read the if
[33:59]you read the lives of the imams in a society that everyone
[34:01]had slaves how is the Imam going to elevate the level of
[34:07]a slave who has is is brought from a different Community he
[34:10]doesn't speak the language he doesn't know the religion he doesn't know
[34:13]anything the imams they would bring them in their homes they would
[34:18]teach them they would help them and then they would free them
[34:21]in the way of Allah so one day the Imam had a
[34:27]slave or a servant who who was who was pouring water or
[34:30]something and the he had a jug in his hand and he
[34:37]accidentally cut the Imam he dropped it and he cut the Imam
[34:39]the Imam started bleeding what would anyone do in that scenario here
[34:48]the Imam and that that slave was a was a learned slave
[34:52]because he's in the house of the Imam the slave said the
[34:57]ones who control their anger so IM he says I have controlled
[35:04]my anger and then he says so the Imam tells him I
[35:10]have forgiven you for what you have done and then he says
[35:13]Allah loves the ones who do so the IM he says you
[35:20]are free in the way of Allah imagine turning a situation where
[35:25]of anger into into doing something good this is IM this is
[35:35]the IM that we look up to today IM mam I want
[35:41]to speak a little bit about the life of this Im so
[35:46]that we receive the bar of remembering the imams of the Allah
[35:51]subhah wa tala [Music] says [Music] these are the imams The imams
[36:07]Who their whole lives it was a life of sacrifice in the
[36:12]way of Allah subhana wa tala and my dear brothers and sisters
[36:17]we follow our imams not because of stubbornness not because of just
[36:26]we decided to follow these imams we follow them because they were
[36:30]the only people after who would did not compromise their faith because
[36:36]of power or because of a king a Calef a leader told
[36:41]them to do something they were the only ones that did not
[36:44]take money to issue a fatwa you look at all of the
[36:48]scholars during the time of Imam during the time of IM sad
[36:50]during the time of all the imams they did not take they
[36:57]did not take money the imams they did not take anything in
[37:00]exchange that compromised their faith Talib it was very easy for him
[37:08]to ass to take the power he had the official the official
[37:11]imama it was very easy for him to fool people and take
[37:17]the just like mu did but he stood with Justice because he
[37:20]saw that power having a few days of leaders ruling on Earth
[37:24]it's not worth compromising my values and my faith and you see
[37:30]all of the imams they did the same thing go and look
[37:32]at IM Hussein IM Hussein what made him go and sacrifice his
[37:39]whole family his children his six-month-old son in the land of carala
[37:42]he didn't need to do that he could have stayed in his
[37:46]home in Medina and he could have lived a life where nothing
[37:48]is hurt no one is harmed in his family but he did
[37:53]that for the sake of Islam for the sake of you and
[37:57]I so that we pray so that we fast so that we
[38:01]know so that the religion is brought to us in the correct
[38:03]form and you see Imam he also did the same thing IM
[38:13]he lived during the lives of four AB his imama it lasted
[38:21]during four abif and he he died at the age of 55
[38:26]his imama lasted for 35 years so he saw al man and
[38:32]then he saw Ali and then he saw Ali and then he
[38:36]saw who poisoned the IM but the IM because of his not
[38:45]he did not compromise his faith you see that the Imam he
[38:52]had to endure punishment and torture because of his stance the the
[38:57]first one that came al- mansur he died he he was the
[39:01]one who poisoned Imad he died during the life of IM and
[39:05]then [Music] came says about him he's not a he's not a
[39:15]guide this man he placed the Imam in prison for a short
[39:18]while then he released the IM and then after him came another
[39:25]one by the name of Al who caused one of the greatest
[39:30]massacres with the children of Al one that resembles the massacre ofala
[39:39]over 180 children of they were killed in a battle that this
[39:44]man Al ABI he attacked the city of Medina and he killed
[39:52]over 180 in an in an event called over 180 he killed
[39:57]them and then he took some prisoners he told them why are
[40:01]you revolting against me someone falsely told him that M was the
[40:08]one who sent us even though IM he did not do such
[40:12]a thing so he swore to kill Imam someone comes and tells
[40:18]IM Al kadam that this man he swore to kill you so
[40:20]Imam he goes in the room and he begins reciting a Dua
[40:26]and that is Dua we have it until today Dua that Dua
[40:33]it has a part of it a this hour this hour this
[40:40]hour Imam comes out of the room he tells them he's in
[40:42]Medina he tells them the Khalifa is dead and then a few
[40:47]days later they hear that the KF had died then after him
[40:53]comes his brother a man by the name of Haron who they
[40:59]call call him harash har the wise but he was not wise
[41:01]a man no matter what you do in life but if you
[41:07]wage a war and if you torture and punish the Imam of
[41:13]your time you are not Wise Wise is the one who is
[41:15]able to secure his afterlife yes harun he had this life he
[41:20]used to look at the clouds and he used to tell speak
[41:24]to the clouds because of how rich he was and how powerful
[41:28]he was he used to tell the clouds go to the east
[41:29]go to the West wherever you go I will benefit from your
[41:35]rain the zakat will come from your reain but you see that
[41:37]this man in front of IM musam he would become very weak
[41:44]even though Imam had nothing had no power but he has Allah
[41:49]his son al- mm al- he says who also became the caleff
[41:54]he says I went with my father Haron to meca and Haron
[42:01]was welcoming and he was welcoming the children of Al Talib because
[42:05]AB they came giving people the impression that they show love to
[42:08]the but in fact they didn't so he says each one from
[42:16]Beni Hashim would come Haron would give him 5,000 he said suddenly
[42:21]M walked in he said when M ja walked in Haron he
[42:27]got up from his seat and he brought he placed him in
[42:32]his own seat and he showed so much respect to the Im
[42:35]so he said after he left after the Imam left Al he
[42:40]says I told my father who is this man why did you
[42:46]so unusual respect to him he says do you know that this
[42:50]man is more worthy of Thea than me he is the one
[42:52]who deserves theaa he is the son ofas Allah then M he
[42:57]tells his father then if you know that he is more worthy
[42:59]of theaa why don't you give it up to him he tells
[43:04]him even you my son if you fight with me over the
[43:10]I would kill you this man Haron he became very jealous of
[43:16]the Imam even though he had everything and this is why we
[43:19]were saying earlier that if you have Allah you're not going to
[43:24]feel that these feelings of jealousy and animosity harun he goes in
[43:29]Medina and he stands in front of the grave of he says
[43:33]peace be upon you oh cousin because they are the children of
[43:37]ab the uncle of he says peace be upon you oh oh
[43:48]my grandfather they say that that moment he decided on imprisoning the
[43:51]IM IM Haron in another story he tells Imam he tells him
[43:59]I want to give you back fed fed the first K and
[44:04]second K they took away fed from F from I want to
[44:07]give it back to you tell me what is the perimeter of
[44:09]fed what are the borders of fed so that I give it
[44:14]to you he was thinking that the Imam was going to tell
[44:17]him it's a village outside of Medina and this is the this
[44:20]is the border of fed IM tells him you are not going
[44:26]to give me fed he says why he says because the borders
[44:29]of fed are from sham to Yemen and the sea to Africa
[44:33]and that was the Muslim um at that time tells him this
[44:38]is fed fed is not a piece of land fed symbolizes the
[44:40]and this is what was taken away from so he decided to
[44:52]imprison the Imam he decided to place the Imam in prison prison
[44:56]and the Imam was placed in a few prisons the first he
[45:04]placed them he placed him in the prison of inas in he
[45:10]brought him from Medina to Bas and he placed him in the
[45:15]prison of a man by the name of he tells Haron tells
[45:21]the man to torture and punish the IM but is he refused
[45:24]so he brought him out out to place him in another prison
[45:32]the prison of one day har he goes and he visits he
[45:36]wants to see the prison and how he's dealing with the IM
[45:41]he want he tells he tells the prisoner to be tough with
[45:43]the Imam so they're standing on a roof and they were able
[45:49]to see the garden they were able to see inside har and
[45:55]they're standing tells har do you see that thing that's on the
[45:59]ground in the middle of the garden in the middle of the
[46:06]the middle of the the garden he tells him yes I see
[46:08]it what he tells him what does it look like he says
[46:11]it looks like a piece of cloth that's on the ground tells
[46:16]him that is doing and this is his sujud from dawn until
[46:23]night his whole time he is doing this is one of the
[46:33]nicknames one of the names of IM mus the one with the
[46:42]long prostration Haron he sends a indecent woman a prostitute he sends
[46:46]her in one of the in the prisons of the Imam so
[46:52]that maybe she could bring him away from Allah so that maybe
[46:54]she could distract him from the worship she goes and she sees
[47:01]that the whole time he is doing suud a while later they
[47:07]come back they see Imam doing suud and behind him that lady
[47:10]that they sent she is also doing this is M this is
[47:17]the IM that we are remembering today and then he takes him
[47:22]out to another prison who also show respect to the IM and
[47:28]finally he takes him to the prison of a wicked Man by
[47:35]the name of a this man used to torture the Imam he
[47:38]used to abuse the Imam and it is said that the day
[47:45]that they brought the body of the Imam out of that ditch
[47:47]in the ground it was a hole in the ground a hole
[47:52]in the ground that had a rock on it he had so
[47:57]many Shack Les 9950 chains and shackles that were attached to his
[48:02]hand that they move they broke and bent the bones of IM
[48:09]M this was the type of torture that they were punishing the
[48:16]Imam it is said that one day IM M because in that
[48:21]hole he was not able to distinguish between day and nighttime the
[48:25]only way was through the prayer times that was when he knows
[48:32]if it's if it's uh day or night time one day there
[48:34]was a opening he comes up a little just to take a
[48:38]fresh breath of air this manah he slaps the IM in his
[48:46]face this is the of Allah on Earth and this is how
[48:48]they dealt with him IM he writes a letter to muaah to
[48:58]to to he tells him one day of torture for me will
[49:08]finish but the day of comfort for you will also finish until
[49:18]we will both go to a day that does not end that
[49:24]is the day that the ones who are on the wrong path
[49:28]they will be the losers this is why we say in the
[49:35]Z of [Music] IM [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] was [Music] [Applause] [Music]
[50:54]to [Music] [Music] what [Music] [Music] [Music] for [Music] [Music] what [Music]
[52:43][Music] for [Music] [Music] for [Music] [Music] for [Music] the after the
[54:30]IM was poisoned the The Prisoner he brings some of the Shia
[54:37]so that they see the IM he tells them see the IM
[54:39]there's nothing wrong with him the Imam he tells them he tells
[54:46]the sh you will meet me on the bridge of bdad on
[54:49]Friday the Shia they were all ready to see the Imam they
[54:55]thought that they will see the IM coming out of the prison
[54:57]suddenly on that day that they met they saw that the body
[55:03]of IM M was carried by four workers four men four h
[55:10]They Carried the body of IM M ja and they placed it
[55:17]on the bridge of Bagdad and the the oppressor he came out
[55:24]and he announced this is the IM of the this is the
[55:34]Shia they came out and they carried the body of IM M
[55:41]ja and they buried him in the cemetery of qur in Bagdad
[55:44]where until today he is visited by millions and millions of people
[55:52]we ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to grant us the Zara of
