[0:18]doctor muhammad maybe next time when you mentioned taco bell it's not
[0:25]fair that you just mentioned you have to show us what taco
[0:28]bell is otherwise we are all longing to see what taco bell
[0:34]is and taste taco bell i feel more comfortable and a sense
[0:53]of closeness when you get to be sitting all the way in
[0:57]the front if you see me watching or looking at my iphone
[1:24]i'm not text messaging or checking my facetime i'm only trying to
[1:30]get some of the notes i wrote to read our eleventh imam
[3:42]imam alaskari was so young that the day he died he passed
[3:47]away he was only 28 year old he became an imam after
[3:55]the passing of his own father al imam ali ibn al hadi
[4:00]the tenth imam of al bayt ali russellem and he was only
[4:06]22 years old when he became an imam and if you look
[4:10]at the history of ahlul bayt you will notice something that many
[4:15]of those imams reached the level of imam leadership at a young
[4:21]age for example al imam muhammad i jawad became an imam while
[4:29]he was only nine year old and this explains something about this
[4:36]family that the maturity of this family the family of the prophet
[4:41]is not measured by their physical age rather through their spirituality and
[4:52]their inner value otherwise if you look at other people normal people
[5:01]usually someone who is nine year old cannot claim a leadership role
[5:07]but not with the ahlul bayt if we start with the first
[5:12]imam of ahlul bayt imam ali ibn abi talib we noticed that
[5:17]the day he converted to islam and he became muslim even though
[5:23]this word is not really so meaningful to say that he converted
[5:27]to islam because he has been muslim all his life but the
[5:31]day he took the shahadah he was only 10 year old and
[5:36]when the prophet asked him to declare the shahadah he immediately did
[5:42]he right away declared the shahadah the prophet asked imam ali ibn
[5:50]abi talib while he was only 10 year old he asked him
[5:55]whether or not he needs to consult with his own father abu
[5:58]talib before declaring his shahada and imam ali ibn abi talib gave
[6:05]a brilliant answer that proves that he proceeded his physical life he
[6:11]was much more mature than his own physical age he said no
[6:18]i'm not going to consult with my father the prophet asked him
[6:23]why why don't you consult with your father before declaring the shahadah
[6:28]and listen to imam ali ibn abid ali replying to the prophet
[6:35]who asked him to consult with his father before conferred before declaring
[6:39]shahadr he says you rasulullah where allah subhanahu wa ta'ala created me
[6:45]he did not consult with my father why i need to consult
[6:49]with my father when it comes to me recognizing my own lord
[6:55]my lord created me and he bestowed so much favor on me
[7:01]without consulting my father he was the only companion of the prophet
[8:06]who never prostrated for an idol at all that did not make
[8:10]sense to him at all while all other companions were involved in
[8:16]worshipping idols imam ali never did and same thing when we come
[8:20]to al imam zayn al abideen he was maybe 16 or 17
[8:25]year old only when he gave that beautiful eloquent fire speech at
[8:32]the chamber of damascus when they met with the tyrant yazid imam
[8:38]zainul abidin asked yazid to go to the pulpit and speak to
[8:43]say a few words yazid resisted he refused people were surprised and
[8:50]amazed on why he would not allow a 17 or 16 year
[8:54]old young man to go to the podium and speak how much
[9:03]this man knows how much he can say how threatened you are
[9:09]with this man with this young man this teenager yazid says i
[9:27]know i know this family i know these people cannot be compared
[9:33]to other people they are filled with knowledge from day one so
[9:39]back to imam al asghari al imam al asghari was born in
[9:44]a city called samarah samarah is now located in iraq it is
[9:50]180 kilometers north of baghdad he al imam al asghari along with
[9:58]his son the last imam the savior of the world al imam
[10:03]al mandir munther alaihi musalam they are the only two imams beside
[10:09]imam ali ibn ali talib of course he was born in mecca
[10:13]those are the only two imams who were not born in medina
[10:18]all other imams were born in medina in saudi arabia the only
[10:22]imams beside imam ali who was born in mecca and imam al
[10:27]askari and his son the last imam imam al mahdi they were
[10:31]born in samarah now the question is why they were born in
[10:35]samarah and not in medina we need to go back to history
[10:39]a little bit people would naturally gravitate to ahlul bayt even though
[11:40]the imams of ahlul bayt never possessed any power they never ruled
[11:45]any country they never commanded any army but always they had this
[11:52]glory among muslims that the minute muslims look at them they would
[11:59]gravitate to them something was about anul bayq i wanna take you
[12:04]a little bit bit back into the history at the time imam
[12:12]zain al abideen is the son of al imam al hussain al
[12:15]abideen imam hussain al abideen was martyred in karbal and his son
[12:21]al imam zain al abideen became the imam after one day al
[12:26]imam zayn al abadi came to makkah to visit the kaaba now
[12:31]the caliph at that time the king of the time was a
[12:36]man called hisham ibn abdul malik hisham also came to mecca at
[12:42]the same time al imam sajjad al imam zayn al abideen arrived
[12:49]to mecca now the masjid the grand masjid in mecca was packed
[12:56]by people pilgrims hajj who were attending hajj so when imam zain
[13:04]al abideen entered the masjid few minutes before him hishan entered the
[13:09]masjid the kaleir with all his glory his power and his might
[13:16]hishan despite having so many bodyguards he was not able to reach
[13:23]the black stone he tried but he could not due to the
[13:28]crime he was not able to reach the black stone after so
[13:34]many attempts the caliph tried to reach the black stone and kiss
[13:40]the black stone he was not able to do so so what
[13:44]his entourage did they picked a place for him they put a
[13:49]chair for him where he would sit so the crowd would recede
[13:54]so the hisham the caliph can go back and receive the black
[13:59]stone as he was sitting there unable to reach the black stone
[14:05]al imam ziz al ahmadine comes into the masjid al haram now
[14:08]the imam has no entourage he has no bodyguard he is not
[14:14]a king he doesn't have the might of a king he doesn't
[14:18]have the money a king would have but he had one thing
[14:23]he had the glory of imam and faith an imam he had
[14:28]the noor the light of the prophet his grandfather in his face
[14:35]imam zayl al avelin entered the masjid he headed directly to the
[14:40]black stone people all pushed themselves onto the sides and allowed the
[14:46]imam and access to the black stone he took the black stone
[14:50]he kissed the black stone he came back one god one body
[14:54]god of hisham the king noticed that this king with all his
[15:00]might and power was not able to access the black who is
[15:05]this guy with no might with no wealth with no prestige public
[15:11]prestige how he was able to get to the black stone that
[15:16]easy what did he do to people that all people were mesmerized
[15:22]when they saw him they all went to the side and they
[15:25]allowed them access to the black stone so the bodyguard turns to
[15:31]the king to the caliph hisham and he says who's this guy
[15:35]manhada hisham being embarrassed and humiliated and jealous being jealous of imam
[15:45]zayn labili he says i don't know who this guy now guess
[15:49]who came in defense of the imam the formal the official spokesperson
[15:57]for his court for his office a man named al farazdah a
[16:04]poet who was at the payroll of the king and used to
[16:09]receive a salary monthly salary from hashem he decided to sign up
[16:15]and to speak the truth and tell people who this man is
[16:19]zayn al abdi says to the caliph he says you pretend you
[17:34]don't know who this guy is this guy the kaaba knows who
[17:39]this guy is zamzan knows who this guy is asafa knows who
[17:45]this guy is marwa knows who this guy is the heavens know
[17:50]this who this guy is the earth knows who this guy is
[17:55]this is the grandson of rasulullah the most honorable person you pretend
[18:01]that you don't know him my point my dear brothers and sisters
[18:05]ahlul bayt the imams of ahlul bayt always had this employee ibrahim
[18:51]five thousand years ago he asked allah to make the heart of
[18:57]people gravitate to his family which is the family of his descendant
[19:03]prophet muhammad today if i want to translate what khan al salih
[22:09]is it's a homeless shelter i'm sure here in toledo there a
[22:14]homeless there is a shelter for homeless there used to be a
[22:18]shelter for the homeless and in order to show disrespect to the
[22:24]imam and to minimize him the caliph al mutawakir he ordered the
[22:31]imam to stay at that shelter not in a house not in
[22:36]a hotel not in a mansion rather he forced the imam to
[22:40]stay with bunch of homeless thinking that by this way he can
[22:46]diminish the imam and he can humiliate the imam by forcing him
[22:51]to stay at the public shelter for the homeless you think this
[22:56]will diminish the imam at all at all it will not diminish
[23:00]the imam the imam will be the imam wherever he is if
[23:05]you have a gem the gem would be a gem whether you
[23:07]put it in a nice box or in a plastic bag it
[23:13]doesn't matter the jain is a jain the imam is the imam
[23:17]wherever he stays he is still the imam he radiates knowledge he
[23:24]radiates light he radiates guidance whatever he is it doesn't matter so
[23:30]the imam along with his son al imam al hasan they both
[23:34]stayed at that shelter afterward they were allowed to have their own
[23:38]home every few weeks there will be a raid at the house
[23:43]of the imam the soldiers of the mutawakir break into the house
[23:49]of the imam al hadi searching for weapon they search the entire
[23:55]house there is no weapon they go back they come in the
[23:59]middle of the night into the house of the imam and what
[24:02]do they see they find the imam sitting on his sajada on
[24:06]his rug prayer rug praying the midnight prayer salatul lay that's what
[24:11]they find so they do not find any weapon rather they take
[24:16]all the money they seize they find at the imam's house all
[24:21]the jewelry they find for his wife for his woman they take
[24:25]it and they go so and they keep harassing the imam alaihi
[24:30]salim keep harassing the imam thinking by this harassment they can diminish
[24:37]the role of the imam that did not work the imam was
[24:41]so strong he was so strong so resilient what do they do
[24:47]to diminish the those tyrants who become so arrogant they forget one
[30:44]day the day when the angel of death will approach them and
[30:50]will take their soul and they no longer will be able to
[30:56]keep ruling people and keep their turret they forget the day in
[31:03]which they will be forced to leave this world and go to
[31:06]allah see how much we spend time money in the beautifying ourselves
[33:50]every day i go shave clean shaven i put you know glow
[33:57]i make sure i put some gel on my hair i try
[34:00]to look so beautiful and so appealing every year women spend over
[34:07]$40,000,000,000 in this country over makeup and cosmetics over $40,000,000,000 in this
[34:21]country we try to beautify ourselves but do you know only three
[34:26]days after we die what's going to happen to us go and
[34:31]dig a grape and see what's going to happen you see this
[34:34]beautiful eye coming out of its place your beautiful nose is going
[34:44]crooked your beautiful cheek is smelling so bad worms are fighting over
[34:55]your skin worms are fighting over your body your body and my
[35:03]body becomes a big feast for worms that's why islam says when
[35:09]someone dies go ahead immediately appear because you cannot see you cannot
[35:15]take what happens to your most beloved one when they die you
[35:20]cannot see you cannot handle it if you don't bury them in
[35:25]three days they will decay they will smell what is that beauty
[35:31]what is that glory $16,000,000,000 the prime minister owned now you all
[36:42]watched his funeral when he was buried he was buried in a
[36:47]kafir that kafir usually is worn by any homeless in lebanon most
[36:56]wealthiest person and the most poorest person they will wear the same
[37:00]kafir when we leave in this dunya yes you and i can
[37:06]show our you know our advantages our financial advantages in this world
[37:15]i can claim superiority through my wealth and my might but once
[37:20]we die halas as they say it's over it's over many people
[38:20]pray as if they are doing an exercise you're not exercising every
[38:27]gesture in your salah every movement in your salah has a symbolic
[38:32]meaning so when we do our salah do one rakkur and every
[38:36]rakkah we do one rakkur but two sajdah two prostrations why imam
[38:42]ali explains he says when you go to the first rakkah to
[38:49]the first sujood indeed through your two sujood you are translating a
[38:55]verse in the quran what does that verse say in the quran
[38:59]listen to me carefully we came from this earth we go back
[40:02]to this earth and then we will be resurrected again from this
[40:06]earth this is what your sujood means anybody dares to a little
[40:56]bit oppose bani la abbas and their caliphs you will be annihilated
[41:03]he will be killed he will be eliminated that's why the imam
[41:07]has to be very careful by not exposing himself to a great
[41:15]danger but yet at the same time not endorsing an oppressive regime
[41:25]not lending any legitimacy to the regime of birla abbas he was
[41:30]very wise very careful and this is a very delicate job to
[41:34]do so that's on one hand on the other hand the imam
[41:40]was careful to defend the aqidah the doctrine of islam because he
[41:47]is the grandson of the prophet and because he is the imam
[41:51]after the prophet he had to take that responsibility so thank you
[53:53]sayyid thank you very much we got a lot of questions so
[54:03]we're gonna go through them inshaallah just wanna make a couple of
[54:06]reminder announcements remember every tuesday night at 7pm we have dua dua
[54:11]sul you have a question every tuesday night 7pm daat palusso with
[54:25]tepseidir and ziyadat 7pm the children's measure this is tomorrow at 05:30
[54:32]right sister 05:30 tomorrow yes 05:30 bring your children to it inshallah
[54:40]sunday mornings 10am breakfast there'll be islamic studies and discussion this week
[54:47]it's gonna be a topic with brother hassan i don't see him
[54:51]his topic is gonna involve some essay writing and some perspectives on
[54:58]islam and and those sorts of things and reminder january 2 is
[55:05]gonna be the celebration of the birth of the prophet muhammad peace
[55:09]be upon him at six to 7pm more details to follow stay
[55:15]in touch with us on facebook and text messaging now regarding the
[55:22]messages regarding the questions i have a few in arabic and i
[55:26]have a few in english i'm gonna go ahead and give you
[55:29]the one in arabic i'll let you read it since i'm going
[55:46]to answer in english arabic and then if there's time in english
[55:51]or otherwise i would answer each question through the language of kif
[55:57]so for the arabic question i would answer in arabic for english
[56:01]i would answer in arabic sounds some people are saying how we
[58:57]can maintain the balance between not loving the enemies of ahlul bayt
[59:05]and yet making sure that we do not engage in fitment the
[59:13]answer to that is when it comes to loving the enemies or
[59:19]hating the enemies of ahlul bayt this is something that you deal
[59:23]with in your heart but when it comes to your tongue make
[59:28]sure that you always guard your tongue do not engage what it
[59:34]may lead or cause a fitna sanction in the ummah and a
[59:39]division so we can continue to disown the enemies of al bayt
[59:46]and disavow them but when it comes to certain names we have
[59:50]to be very careful not to cause fitnah between muslims and not
[59:57]to cause division between muslims what advice do you have for people
[60:03]who did wrongdoings in their life but they want to change how
[60:08]they they change but they lack the will to do so so
[60:12]they've made mistakes in their lives and they wanna improve but look
[60:16]something so beautiful about about our religion and that is having full
[60:26]free and full and free access to allah meaning that for me
[60:40]to turn to allah and to repent i don't need to go
[60:45]through shaykh or a sayyid or a priest as the catholics do
[60:51]by confessing before another human being because allah wants to protect your
[60:58]dignity even when you do the most heinous crimes and most embarrassing
[61:05]sins allah doesn't wanna expose you so when you wear a pants
[61:10]you don't need to go and tell other people all you need
[61:13]to do is to confess before one and that is allah subhanahu
[61:18]wa ta'ala that's it allah is saying that those who have committed
[61:37]so many sins do not be hopeless don't give up on the
[61:44]mercy of allah allah is willing to wash away all your sins
[61:49]no matter how big no matter how many this is the beauty
[61:53]of our religion now in order to repent you need to acquire
[61:57]two qualities if there those two qualities do not occur that means
[62:06]you are not really repenting repenting one to regret your previous sins
[62:15]if i do not regret what i have done i'm not repenting
[62:19]and also to intend in your heart that you're not going to
[62:24]do but if i say astaghfirullah yet i'm planning to keep gossiping
[62:31]and backbiting and lying i'm not repenting that's why the prophet says
[62:46]if i say astaghfirullah without being regretful i am fooling no one
[62:51]with myself so i have to be regretful and i have to
[62:56]intend not to repeat if i meet these two criterias i should
[63:00]know that allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is willing to embrace me and
[63:04]willing to accept me and willing to wash away all my sins
[63:12]what's your advice to the youth of toledo the ahlul bayt followers
[63:16]and the mothers and fathers in the community in these days well
[63:20]my advice for the youth is you need to have your own
[63:25]organization and you need to have your own gathering pick a day
[63:30]of the week thursday friday saturday and have your own session and
[63:36]have your own discussion and have your own activities and engage in
[63:42]something constructive go and feed the poor go and check on the
[63:50]needy be part of the you know passing around some good to
[63:56]the christmas is coming go and give some gifts to the needy
[64:00]and poor in this area always show the positive side of islam
[64:06]you know my dear brothers and sisters the best thing the best
[64:10]way to educate non muslims about our religion is to demonstrate islamic
[64:18]character to translate islam into actions by acting as true muslim i'm
[64:26]doing dawah for islam i'm inviting people to allah when people find
[64:30]me clean honest as a caring loving not so selfish trying to
[64:41]reach out to others to help that's the best way you can
[64:46]educate non muslims about your religion islam is not only you do
[64:52]not teach only through words other through action when people find you
[64:56]sincere law abiding citizens people who care about others who care about
[65:02]your neighbors even if they are non muslims someone who extend the
[65:07]hand of help even to other people who are not muslims islam
[65:13]doesn't say always help muslims islam say help any person who is
[65:18]in need of help muslim or non muslim if i see a
[65:22]needy person a beggar asking for cash for help and i know
[65:28]he has a need i should not check his identity to see
[65:32]if he's muslim or not i need to give even if he's
[65:36]not muslim this is what the hadeed says when a someone a
[65:44]needy person asks you give him even if he is a non
[65:48]muslim so your responsibility is to demonstrate the best islamic character the
[65:56]responsibility of your parents my dear sisters and my dear brothers just
[66:02]as you care about the physical well-being of your children about their
[66:08]food their education their housing their medication we need to also care
[66:13]about their spiritual well-being make sure that your kids are connected to
[66:19]the islamic center this islamic center they come every week they attend
[66:24]every single session this is the only way you can guarantee that
[66:29]your kids will be raised muslims many of the parents are busy
[66:33]with their work with their jobs they don't have the time to
[66:36]spend with their kids so who is going to do that for
[66:40]you it is the center so please please make sure that haris
[66:45]has to be the center of your life the islamic center has
[66:49]to be the center of your life it is a place where
[66:52]your kids would love to go and obviously i think you have
[66:56]been doing an excellent job by catering to for you to you
[67:01]having english sessions catering to the english speaking people this is what
[67:06]we need this is exactly what we need and i really commend
[67:12]those brothers and sisters who have been devoting their time and their
[67:16]effort their money in making this beautiful center workable and functional god
[67:22]bless you now doctor muhammad and say stop me whenever there's seven
[67:27]or eight years i'm fine whenever you're i am fine please refresh
[67:31]us about lineage of prophet muhammad peace be upon him how is
[67:35]a woman called a sharifi how is the title passed down is
[67:38]it authentic lineage of the prophet or just folklore well the the
[67:45]lineage of the prophet is i have to be careful here if
[67:54]someone calls himself sayyid or sayyidah that does not spur these people
[68:02]from irresponsibility a sayyid or sayyidah sharif or sharifah does not make
[68:10]me immune or an exception that because the prophet is my grandfather
[68:19]i can take everything for granted no indeed the lineage descendants of
[68:26]the prophet whether male or female they bear a bigger responsibility because
[68:32]they represent the prophet i saw a while ago a sister who's
[68:39]a descendant of the prophet and she was not wearing hijab i
[68:43]told her sister by not wearing hijab i believe i feel you
[68:48]are committing devil sin one for not wearing hijab and one for
[68:53]misrepresenting your grandfather rasulullah so allah created hell for those who just
[69:15]disobey him no matter who they are even if they come from
[69:20]the honorable family of the prophet quresh and allah created heaven for
[69:27]those who obey him even if they are african slaves so the
[69:34]lineage of the prophet it is an honor but it is an
[69:39]honor for those who follow the prophet and they follow the footsteps
[69:44]of the prophet and those who support the mission and the message
[69:50]of their grandfather then they can claim that as an honor other
[69:56]than that they cannot claim that as an honor okay can you
[70:02]recommend an english book or resource that explains islamic history i think
[70:07]a lot of the youth have never heard or read islamic history
[70:10]in english there are many books written about islamic history but i
[70:21]would particularly encourage my dear younger brothers and sisters to read about
[70:29]the history of ahrul bayt the 12 imams of ahrul bayt many
[70:34]of us are not even familiar with the imams of ahrul bayt
[70:39]if you ask some of our children they are well acquainted with
[70:43]the names of you know athletes and stars and actors actresses but
[70:50]ask them who is jafar osada they don't know who jafar osada
[70:53]is ask them who is muhammad al jawah they don't know who
