[0:11]all right respected Elders dear young ones brothers and sisters in Islam
[0:19]May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon you all assalamu
[0:23]alaikum when we come to analyze the sermon of the holy prophet
[0:33]welcoming the people welcoming mankind to the holy month of Ramadan we
[0:38]notice there are a number of aims that he gives us targets
[0:43]that he gives us that in this month of Ramadan there should
[0:47]be a set tone for you to change that this month is
[0:53]a month of so month of opportunity use this opportunity wisely the
[1:00]shakri The Wretched one is the one who is not able to
[1:06]take the golden opportunity and maximize from the month of Ramadan from
[1:09]the great blessings in the month of Ramadan from the sources of
[1:18]blessings forgiveness Mercy to ask Allah and there are some of those
[1:24]that the holy prophet States in our plan in our aim that
[1:26]we should have that one regards to our about regards to our
[1:31]prayers regards to our recitation of Quran with regards to our fathers
[1:34]but there are also others in regards to our moral compass that
[1:39]he States in this month you should all have a source within
[1:47]you a remembrance within you a plan whether it's a monthly or
[1:52]daily plan that's in the month of Ramadan I want to change
[2:01]myself I want to improve myself I want to reform myself I
[2:07]want to be of those who at the end of the month
[2:12]of Ramadan I can look back at myself and I have improved
[2:17]I've taken a step further ahead hansi says that's in the month
[2:38]of Ramadan one of the aims I should have is what to
[2:43]improve my very own and the month of Ramadan should improve should
[2:53]change should become better and you find that which has been mentioned
[3:02]in this saying by the holy prophet he himself reminds us many
[3:08]times in namah that verily I was sent down in order to
[3:17]complete and perfect Mankind's morals when we are on this journey the
[3:25]journey that we want to improve the Journey of life and death
[3:31]the journey that we know at the end of the day in
[3:37]my life I've got a test I've got an exam and I
[3:41]want to improve in order for me to pass the test I
[3:47]want to improve so that I can truly pass the test at
[3:52]the end of the day when the d word comes death comes
[3:56]I want to be of those who alhamdulillah I receive my book
[3:58]in my right hand and know that I have passed the test
[4:02]and that's why he States in this test there are two valuable
[4:10]Jewels you need to really pass it why because the person who
[4:16]passes the test he has a reward what is that reward the
[4:22]reward is from Allah which is Jannah Paradise and therefore the holy
[4:28]prophet says Allah foreign the two currencies needed the two valuable ornaments
[4:44]that you need in your life every single individual in order to
[4:49]achieve Jannah in this life which every single night and day we're
[4:54]reminding ourselves Allah and this is the purpose of fasting the prescription
[5:03]of fasting Moon and then he States and the second equal currency
[5:14]equal valuable jewel I need is to have good manners and morals
[5:24]when I've entered now that I've entered the winner on the third
[5:30]day of these blessed days of the holy month of Ramadan we
[5:34]truly need to set a Target that in these days and nights
[5:43]let me improve my my self-recognition of my own foreign that on
[5:50]a day-to-day basis I inherit quality traits that can be ingrained in
[5:56]my mind and my heart what is comes from the word disposition
[6:07]the inherent nature and quality characteristics personality Behavior morals manners that every
[6:23]individual has been trained to perform certain regular actions that have been
[6:34]ingrained in his mind and his heart such that they have become
[6:38]second nature to him such that he has become so accustomed to
[6:44]that habit of that moral they've become second nature to him sometimes
[6:53]there are those who have that Hulk which is they have ingrained
[6:58]the untrained within themselves they've practiced to have good good morals and
[7:06]some have received and acquired negative traits and you see that is
[7:12]shown in there personality that is shown in their conduct with others
[7:20]that is shown in their conducts with the other people in the
[7:28]community with the colleagues that's why a person who wants to improve
[7:31]is he needs to reflect upon himself and on a day-to-day basis
[7:42]look at those traits that he wants to get rid of and
[7:45]practice it and this is the best month to improve his and
[7:53]those positive traits that he has within him to improve to ask
[7:57]Allah within it is an interaction of the in son of mankind
[8:08]a club that I have between myself and Allah how have I
[8:15]disciplined my Salah is it punctual is it on time how do
[8:20]I pay attention to when I perform my Salah what clothes do
[8:25]I wear what clothes do I wear do I put an effort
[8:30]to wear the best of clothes or any rugged clothes do I
[8:34]put that in nature second nature for me to perfume myself and
[8:40]perform the ornaments that are best for Salah how do I perform
[8:47]the direct connection between me and Allah that even when I'm fasting
[8:52]I have the greatest with my Rob a direct connection between you
[9:01]and Allah one interaction a second interaction of a true person who
[9:08]has someone who knows his interaction between himself and others Humanity we
[9:15]human beings are social creatures we interact with one another whether it's
[9:20]with our family whether it's with our friends whether it's with our
[9:27]colleagues whether it's with people at College University every single individual inside
[9:32]has to connect communicate interact and here where it's a test of
[9:42]my with other people with other individuals how have I improved my
[9:47]or how do I plan in this holy month of Ramadan to
[9:54]change that trait the negative trait that I have been known for
[9:57]and I myself I'm reflecting upon myself and I want to improve
[10:02]it and give a positive trait with others and third with your
[10:12]own nafs that I train my own self my own Neffs and
[10:22]train towards perfection train it towards improving it's regular understanding of the
[10:31]importance of having good manners and morals sometimes I need to see
[10:38]my with my own nephs sometimes I give a promise I break
[10:42]my own promise sometimes I state that I'm going to stay away
[10:45]from sin I lie to my own self I betray my own
[10:49]promise so these forms of three Connections in regards the Spheres we
[10:59]need to realize that this is the month the month of Ramadan
[11:07]to improve from those negative traits towards those positive traits those traits
[11:14]that the holy prophet would state that he was the one who
[11:18]had perfect regards to him Holocene that's verily the holy prophet Muhammad
[11:36]had the most perfect had the greatest of noble qualities that I
[11:47]need to learn from his life I need to instill them in
[11:53]my life today and he mentions to us the consequences of those
[11:57]who have good yazid of is a great deed one of the
[12:13]benefits of it your sustenance is increased for example he States increases
[12:21]your lifespan States for example makes homes flourish families love to be
[12:31]with a family member he States for example a the one who
[12:43]is closest to rasulullah and the one who rasulullah loves the most
[12:49]is the one who has the best of he States for example
[12:59]he States the sharaful manzila the great manzilla and status of a
[13:07]person who has great is the highest of stations and platforms not
[13:16]just in this world but also in Jannah then he states by
[13:22]the way even if that person is Allah he says the person
[13:30]who has the highest loftiest place in Jannah is a person who
[13:34]has good even if that person is about is weak he performs
[13:41]the wajibat he performs the the five prayers he fasts but he
[13:48]doesn't perform all of them he doesn't perform all the Nawa fail
[13:55]he doesn't perform Salah to lay for example he doesn't perform fast
[13:59]but the important excelling quality for him to excel in Jannah is
[14:06]what his personal foreign his good manners his good morals in fact
[14:15]he states that if someone has even if they spend their night
[14:22]in ibadah [Music] and they spend days upon days fasting they are
[14:35]evil they are ill-natured In Their Manners are morals foreign these kind
[14:42]of individuals they are not Heavenly individuals even if they pray and
[14:50]fast but their so ill-natured he reminds us improve all manners improve
[14:59]our morals and there are so many examples every night we could
[15:05]describe one characteristic one trait that I need to improve will mention
[15:10]a few of them a few of them that the holy prophet
[15:13]himself was known for for example very simply he would state when
[15:20]you greet one another greet one another with a smile Cafe smiling
[15:31]in the face of your men brother your dear friend in itself
[15:38]is a form of ibada in itself is a form of with
[15:45]good is one of the best forms of to greet one another
[15:52]in this Gathering we're in this community our dear friends are here
[15:57]greet one another smile towards one another even to those who are
[16:08]who had enmity towards you who had hatred towards you you respond
[16:16]with smile you respond with kindness you respond with that sweet fragrance
[16:23]that's what what that would that would reduce their situation that would
[16:32]melt them away when the father comes home towards their family and
[16:36]smiles at home how much of a psychological effect does it have
[16:40]towards the family towards the wife towards the children that they see
[16:47]their father smiling when that wife asks the psychologist what should I
[16:51]do every time I see my husband he's upset he's grumpy he's
[16:55]had a long day the doctor said all you do is whenever
[16:57]he comes home smile smile every time he would come home she's
[17:03]smiling even though he's had a hard day long day difficult day
[17:09]that smile had a positive effect that he would himself change in
[17:17]his behavior in his in his nature towards others smiling in itself
[17:22]is a great behavior when we greet one another greet one another
[17:27]with tahiyah with Salam with love with compassion with kindness another of
[17:33]the of the Holy messenger for example truthfulness what was he known
[17:42]as he was known as being truthful has been mentioned many times
[17:47]in the Quran in fact not only he was known as being
[17:55]truthful and trustworthy but he states that when you want to know
[17:58]someone what a great person he is what you want to describe
[18:12]someone how great of an individual they are don't say mashallah I
[18:16]pray so much he must be a great individual Good Deed but
[18:20]that's not the quality that I need to First Look at don't
[18:23]say oh wow he prays and far so much his record is
[18:27]so long his suit is so long takes so many hours no
[18:30]no no the first thing he says what should we see what
[18:36]should we examine on Amana how truthful they are when they speak
[18:44]and how trustworthy they are when they are given in Amanda one
[18:58]is not of us the one who betrays the trust where there's
[19:06]a physical trust given to you or an Amana was for example
[19:08]I I said something to her I just said Hajj please don't
[19:12]tell anyone in the community it's something between me and you and
[19:15]the next day I see some Facebook and Twitter on social media
[19:19]and the newspapers and Town Hall everyone knows about it I said
[19:22]oh I just felt like telling my friend and the other friend
[19:28]and suddenly became viral no and a man is between me and
[19:33]you to take care of to respect one another trustworthy truthfulness all
[19:41]of these positive traits generosity how much does he States in secret
[19:51]they give away from themselves in public they give away they keep
[19:57]on giveaway of generosity and so much so that they State as
[20:08]a generous person in this life of course is close to Allah
[20:15]Godly and close to people Everyone Loves someone who's generous who like
[20:19]someone who's stingy who likes someone who's in fact the fourth Imam
[20:26]informs the fifth Imam law never befriend someone as I saw him
[20:30]someone who is at times you need him he puts you on
[20:35]block delete at times you need him he doesn't respond to your
[20:40]phone call at times you need them a friend in need to
[20:46]say as a friend in need when I need him he's there
[20:50]generosity self-sacrifice ether altruism look at the life of the imams of
[21:03]the bait they would constantly give to others without them asking giving
[21:09]away from the sake of Allah we have another a number of
[21:16]examples that there would be times when they would knock on the
[21:24]house of the second Imam Imam knock on the homes the imams
[21:30]would give their savings and say give it to them they say
[21:35]this is for this machine was asking this is for the fapiro's
[21:40]asking give it away for the sake or the example of the
[21:45]Allah who when they were going to have their iftar this is
[21:48]a test by the way for us when it comes to our
[21:53]moment of iftar do we think of the one sitting beside us
[21:57]do we think about those others do we remember them in our
[22:01]duas and prayers oh I'm just thinking about myself and for me
[22:04]to fill my tummy and for me to break my after no
[22:07]think about others masha'allah we see this here Beloved Community members they
[22:14]offer a date towards the one beside them towards beside in front
[22:18]of them that I would like you to offer to offer you
[22:23]this iftar and you receive the tawa by the way of giving
[22:26]and gifting someone's iftar and you receive the thawab of that blessed
[22:30]day that you gave to him what do they say that they
[22:35]gave they gave that offering that generosity out of love of Allah
[22:41]for the sake of Allah forgiveness many of us in these nights
[22:51]we say Allah we read ask you for forgiveness I ask Allah
[23:06]brothers and sisters one of the greatest difficulties is what one of
[23:14]the greatest tests is to forgive someone without that person asking for
[23:18]forgiveness the Imam State and the holy prophet says one of the
[23:25]greatest tests is this waffle as be forgiving to the one who
[23:42]was hurtful towards you harmful towards you showed hatred towards I forgave
[23:49]him in the middle night when you wake up to recite Salah
[23:54]to lay we mentioned then we mention Allah many times the name
[24:03]of that person that I wasn't intending to ask for forgiveness comes
[24:07]in my mind Allah I forgive him it's fine balamani he was
[24:13]hurtful towards me he was harmful towards me he hurt my feelings
[24:19]forgive him may Allah forgive him of course if there is they
[24:25]must return us but this is when we are showing our mercy
[24:30]and compassion and be good even to the one who was harmful
[24:38]to you even to one who was evil towards you you find
[24:43]this in the example of after they struck him in the month
[24:49]of Ramadan and they provided with the bowl of milk what they
[24:53]provided him he gave he said let the other half also let
[24:58]them others have this is many of us wish to be the
[25:05]followers of the Holy prophets many of us we constantly recite salawat
[25:09]in the name of the holy prophet Muhammad Allah many of us
[25:17]wish to be the followers of the Holy Quran and the followers
[25:22]of the and today we all we all wish to be the
[25:29]followers of the 12th Imam we all wish to be the followers
[25:37]gives us all an advice he says whoever wishes to have that
[26:06]joy and happiness of being one of the followers and the true
[26:10]montavirin of the twelfth Imam today then there are two quality Acts
[26:16]staying away from haram's sins and good deeds and good and he
[26:27]is truly waiting today if I am the one who's saying that
[26:32]I am waiting for the 12th Imam these are the two quality
[26:35]acts that I need to have good manners good morals for they
[26:45]are the railway tracks that we both need in order to achieve
[26:53]perfection in order to achieve that Kamal that the holy prophet had
[26:56]to gain nearness to the holy prophet for these other days and
[27:00]nights brothers and sisters we need look at our own self look
[27:06]at myself in the mirror and let me write down in my
[27:11]own notes in my own self which I need to improve and
[27:14]increase and which I need to decrease and stop so that I
[27:20]can gain closed captioning not available to accept our deeds and forgive
[27:55]us and forgive one another and to allow us to be of
[27:58]the true followers of the holy prophet and follow the teachings of
[28:03]the Holy Quran [Music]
