[4:48]I bring greetings of support and solidarity from Houston socialist movement and

[4:54]Houston united front against fascism ours is a world of many nations

[4:58]many peoples many many cultures many faiths many Creeds but on this

[5:04]special day millions of us from diverse backgrounds are speaking with one

[5:09]voice together in solidarity with the people of Palestine and all oppressed

[5:13]peoples of the world I consider it an honor to stand with

[5:17]you today in opposing the genocidal war against the Palestinian people amid

[5:22]this horrific and continuing violence the widespread destruction of Gaza and the

[5:28]Zionist Brazen ambitions to launch a second knba I would like to

[5:35]emphasize a few simple points first as you know it is absolutely

[5:39]essential to condemn and oppose not only the Israeli regime but also

[5:45]the military and political support of the United States and that includes

[5:52]both Republicans and Democrats second it is important to note that most

[5:57]of the Nations and peoples of the world oppose this ongoing genocide

[6:01]as a previous speaker pointed out about 80% of the world's population

[6:07]is opposed to what is going on all the Death all the

[6:10]violence all the destruction this is what colonialism and imperialism bring you

[6:16]here in the United States I'm glad to report public support for

[6:19]the Palestinians has been growing although neither the government nor the corporate

[6:23]media want to acknowledge this and that is why the Trump Administration

[6:27]wants to detain and Deport International students who are lawfully and non-violently

[6:33]opposing the Zionist crimes in Palestine third let us unequivocally affirm the

[6:41]right of the Palestinian people to resist their oppressors and in the

[6:44]historic words of Malcolm X that means by any means necessary the

[6:49]US and Israeli governments have demonstrated their willingness to kill as many

[6:54]people as possible to maintain the occupation of Palestine but not withstanding

[6:59]the horrible losses they have suffered and are still suffering today do

[7:04]Palestinian people have the moral right they have the legal right to

[7:07]fight for their land to fight for their freedom to fight for

[7:13]their independence and finally I say this every year let us acknowledge

[7:16]forthrightly and honestly that if we want to end all forms of

[7:22]exploitation and all forms of Oppression we must abolish capitalism and imperialism

[7:26]it was Western capitalism and imperialism that gave birth to the horrors

[7:30]of Zionism and have ravaged most of the planet for centuries these

[7:34]systems must be dismantled Again by any means necessary brothers sisters siblings

[14:39]scale of suffering inflicted upon the Palestinian people demands action not silence

[14:45]it's imperative that we amplify our voices to cond condemn these atrocities

[14:51]so we are here today to raise our voices to protest the

[14:58]76 years occupation of Palestine and the ongoing genocide and oppression in

[15:03]Gaza and the West Bank faed by pal Palestinians at the hands

[15:08]of the Zionist regime the zionists have targeted every aspect of life

[15:13]in Gaza they have bombed schools masks hospitals and even aid aid

[15:23]conveys delivering basic Food Supplies to starving families elderly man and woman

[15:28]young children and infants all are victims of this merciless assault Gaza

[15:42]death faced with such barbarity how can we remain silent how can

[16:52]are our moral duty and our religious Duty as Jews to be

[25:13]the Trump Administration has heightened the us Empire's attacks on so many

[25:19]of our communities refugees immigrants activists for environmental justice women and of

[25:28]course those involved in a struggle for a free Palestine in Texas

[25:32]alone we have seen funding cut off for 50,000 Refugee families relying

[25:38]on government assistance brutal ice rates have increased tearing families apart and

[25:43]targeting hardworking community members who are deported often to countries they have

[25:49]never called home and of course Trump has begun his Crackdown on

[25:55]the free Palestine movement with the arrests of Mahmud Khal and romesa

[25:59]urk and his threats to revoke funding for Columbia University which they

[26:04]shamefully complied with [Applause] shame with these measures Trump and his billionaire

[26:11]cronies are only testing the waters the Crackdown on our most basic

[26:16]rights of freedom of speech and freedom of assembly has begun with

[26:23]the Palestinian movement this should come as no surprise to us but

[26:28]let make no mistake if they get away with it they will

[26:33]come for other communities in the same way this is why is

[26:38]it it is important that we remember that our struggles are all

[26:41]connected the struggle for immigrants rights women's rights environmental justice and the
