Oh father how can I live on without you
My father many years it’s been,
Since your holy face i have seen
I swear by the alif laam meem,
By the two shrines and land inbetween
I swear by zainab al Shaam’s queen
I swear by the book and yaseen,
That my heart craves this beautiful scene,
The sight of you and your noor beams
My father Askari for you I do long
My father Askari time has been too long
Oh father how can I live on without you
They say time heals yet I’m in pain,
With each minute my heart does strain
Your blood oh father’s in my veins,
Its like I passed when you were slain
For years I’ve longed to reunite,
Every Friday my chest is tight,
My mission is yet to begin
The ummah continues to sin
My father I do dream with every heart beat
My father about the day that we re meet
Oh father how can I live on without you
I have waited for centuries
Each year an added injury
Yet my people from the path stray
To assist me they shy away
I hear pledges yet where are they?
I have trust that they’ll find the way
And then father will come are day
Till then for all them I will pray
My nation I call to you please do now rise
My nation for faraj raise hands to the skies
Oh father how can I live on without you
I do call out to my nation
Do you see this separation
Do you feel my occultation
People I am your salvation
Assist me to Islam adhere
For My presence will cure your fears
Aid me and do not cause my tears
Do not add to my waiting years
My father, for years I have looked to your shrine
My father, truly I’m guardian of time
Oh father how can I live on without you
My father my love is still strong
Years can’t break a heart that does long
By the words that fall from my tongue
I will pray that soon I’m among
Those in your presence in heaven
Oh father oh great eleventh
Please Do Pray that soon i will be
joining you oh dear Askari
Oh Allah, his absence is all that I see
Oh Allah, grant me the sight of Askari
