[3:52][Music] [Music] foreign [Applause] every night every day [Music] I am boss
[5:19]aprilities [Music] [Laughter] [Music] on the side you'd like your hands get
[5:53]done with your eyes [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] the sun called
[7:08]foreign foreign [Music] foreign [Music] foreign [Laughter] [Music] I begin in the
[9:34]name of the almighty God the compassionate the merciful the one who
[9:40]has created everything in utmost perfection and May the peace and blessings
[9:47]of the almighty God be upon his pure and beloved messenger the
[9:51]peak of his creation the symbol of humanity the holy prophet Muhammad
[10:04]and his Immaculate progeny of the Elizabeth peace be upon them especially
[10:08]the leader of our time the awaited savior foreign servants respected brothers
[10:25]and sisters in the Holy Quran in one of the most beautiful
[10:42]chapters of this glorious book in suratul kaf verses 83 to 98.
[10:47]Allah subhanahu ta'ala States Bismillah foreign foreign [Music] foreign foreign foreign foreign
[13:38]foreign [Music] foreign [Music] the greatest gift Allah has given us is
[14:16]the Holy Quran when you examine the gems the treasures in this
[14:25]fascinating book you will find that it is an endless treasure from
[14:30]your lord the one who's created you Allah has given us one
[14:38]book this Divine glorious book the final of his holy scriptures the
[14:43]more we contemplate the Holy Quran the more Allah opens Pathways in
[14:52]our heart one of the signature characteristics of the Holy Quran is
[15:01]the stories that Allah mentions to us these stories are aimed not
[15:06]at entertaining us but at guiding us making us better human beings
[15:11]giving us beautiful lessons to connect with our Lord to prepare with
[15:18]for the Hereafter to create wonderful families and societies that's why Allah
[15:23]in the Holy Quran He commands us to travel you know it's
[15:30]mustahab to travel foreign but with what purpose next time when you
[15:48]go on a vacation sure you can go and have a Halal
[15:50]vacation but make the goal of this vacation to learn something examine
[15:57]past civilizations examined what happened in history examine the diversity that Allah
[16:05]has created learn something make your vacations purposeful make them educational you
[16:13]will get closer to Allah go and explore out there what's out
[16:17]there in the universe what has Allah created on this planet of
[16:23]course don't go to some very dangerous places two and a half
[16:30]miles under the ocean just to see a shipwreck you have to
[16:32]protect your safety of course even though that in itself is still
[16:36]fascinating because there is also a lesson buried deep in the ocean
[16:43]that Titanic that sank in 1912 people thought nothing could bring this
[16:51]ship down the way the Architects and the engineered constructed that ship
[16:57]people thought there was nothing that could bring this down no hurricane
[17:02]no storm nothing they didn't realize that an iceberg could make it
[17:06]sink and on its maiden voyage the first voyage it sank that's
[17:12]a lesson for us be humble don't think you human beings are
[17:15]invincible and there is no stronger power out there in the universe
[17:19]even that is humbling supposed to have to travel and to explore
[17:25]what Allah has created for us the stories of the Quran are
[17:31]aimed at educating us giving us these very beautiful lessons now one
[17:36]of the beautiful lessons of the Holy Quran is the story of
[17:45]the name Allah dedicates 15 verses in Surah about this figure and
[17:50]the lessons we learn from this figure verses 83 to 98.
[17:55]this story was revealed in Surah because the pagans wanted to test
[18:03]the prophet salallahu alaihi the pagans in Mecca they wanted to come
[18:09]up with a way to embarrass the prophet so you know what
[18:14]kind of strategy they came up with they said let's go to
[18:19]the people of the book let's go to the Jews the Jews
[18:23]are familiar with the abrahamic Traditions they're familiar with the sayings of
[18:30]previous Prophets let's ask them to come up with three questions that
[18:36]Muhammad wouldn't know it will embarrass him he wouldn't know the answer
[18:43]to these three questions Let's test him so they go to the
[18:46]Jews they're like we've got a very important task for you guys
[18:51]today what do you want can you come up with three questions
[18:52]that only a prophet can answer they said sure we have rabbis
[18:59]we have Scholars we have ahbar with us we'll come up with
[19:05]three tough questions only one who's connected with God would have access
[19:09]to these answers what are these three questions they said ask him
[19:13]these three the first one who are the people of the cave
[19:17]what's their story the second one what is the rule what's the
[19:23]soul tell us about the essence of the soul the third one
[19:27]tell us about name how many voyages did he make what's his
[19:31]story who was he they come to the prophet salallahu alaihi they
[19:37]told them if you're really a prophet we've got a task for
[19:41]you give us the answer to these very important questions who are
[19:46]they what's their story what are these voyages According to some reports
[19:54]he waits for a long time before receiving revelation such that the
[20:00]pagans started to doubt what's going on don't you have the answers
[20:06]from God why is the answer being delayed why do you think
[20:11]Allah delayed sending the answer why what's the wisdom behind that Allah
[20:17]was demonstrating to that Society it's not the prophet who's coming up
[20:22]with these answers he receives these answers from Allah and Allah chooses
[20:28]one to reveal them because when you have an answer and someone
[20:33]puts you on the spot you want to be quick in answering
[20:36]right is demonstrating to the world he's not coming up with the
[20:41]answers because if he was coming up with them he would have
[20:43]immediately answered you like many times you would but sometimes he wouldn't
[20:48]Allah says I decide when Revelation comes no one dictates on me
[20:53]to me when Revelation is going to come so there was a
[21:00]delay then one day comes and he brings the answers on the
[21:15]soul you know what the Jews had told the pagans they told
[21:19]them if he's really a prophet he will give you details about
[21:24]and about but he will not tell you what the soul is
[21:30]if he is really a prophet he will not tell you what
[21:34]the essence of the soul is because that's something only God knows
[21:38]it's beyond our domain that's if he's truly a prophet if he
[21:43]gave you any detailed answer realize that he's not a prophet the
[21:56]soul the spirit what's the response that Allah gives them say the
[22:04]soul is from the domain of Allah your knowledge is very little
[22:09]don't think you can ever know the essence of the Soul so
[22:11]he doesn't answer them and the Jews had told the pagans that's
[22:15]a sign of prophethood because none of the prophets of God would
[22:19]give us the details about the essence of the Soul so if
[22:23]he's really a prophet he'll follow that path and tradition but as
[22:27]for the story of the people of the cave and carne yes
[22:31]he will tell you the details if he's really a prophet so
[22:35]in Surah Allah tells us the story of it's a beautiful fascinating
[22:45]story that we derive many of our lessons from and it shows
[22:51]you the depth and the beauty of the Quran today my dear
[22:53]brothers and sisters some people ask what's the proof that the Quran
[22:59]is from Allah it's very simple in one minute you can prove
[23:03]and demonstrate that this book is from God when you examine the
[23:09]Holy Quran from the scientific aspect you see that there is information
[23:13]in the Holy Quran no one knew 14 centuries ago with so
[23:16]much detail with so much confidence tells you the universe is expanding
[23:24]the Holy Quran tells you that Allah created all life from water
[23:28]the Holy Quran tells you that God is holding the universe through
[23:34]an invisible pillar which is a reference to gravity how did someone
[23:39]who lived 14 centuries ago in the deserts of Arabia who was
[23:43]never educated by anyone who grew up as an orphan where did
[23:46]he get that Knowledge from look at the predictions of the Holy
[23:49]Quran the Quran predicted that the Romans would achieve victory over the
[23:56]Persians how did he know that how does the Quran know about
[23:58]previous civilizations with so much detail and then look at the laws
[24:03]contained in the Quran the geography contained in the Quran the psychology
[24:09]contained in the Quran look at the beautiful system that Allah gives
[24:14]you in the Holy Quran you want math you find it in
[24:18]the laws of inheritance every field of science there's a reference to
[24:22]it in the Holy Quran where did he get all this knowledge
[24:27]from it's fascinating and then from a literary perspective the eloquence that's
[24:31]contained in the Holy Quran no one was able to challenge it
[24:35]power of the words the structure of the sentences even the way
[24:42]the words sound the phonetics of the Quran it's truly a miracle
[24:47]Surat the final chapter of the Holy Quran chapter 1 14.
[24:52]the theme of the Surah is the whispering devil Satan he whispers
[25:00]to you now a whisper is silent right Allah wants you to
[25:07]always be on alert shaytan will find some very discreet ways to
[25:13]set a trap for you always be vigilant always be careful uses
[25:19]sounds in this Surah to communicate that point let alone the content
[25:25]Bismillah foreign what did you notice here sounds spooky right yes you've
[25:58]got that quiet Whispering letters the scene and the sheen why why
[26:05]does Allah structure the Surah in this fashion to help you with
[26:09]the content look shaytan is creepy that's how he functions he's discreet
[26:15]he whispers to you be careful isn't that a miracle who could
[26:17]come up with this 14th centuries ago in one minute you know
[26:22]this book came from Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and this is just
[26:26]the tip of the iceberg so they would test the prophet if
[26:32]you truly are connected to God you will have access to these
[26:36]previous civilizations so at the time the Jews had heard about the
[26:39]name but they were not aware of the details of his journeys
[26:44]so they wanted to test the prophet Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala reveals
[26:47]15 verses on the Holy Quran about the story let us examine
[26:51]these beautiful verses and the amazing lessons we can learn from them
[27:03]I will now reveal to you the details about this figure in
[27:11]um Begins the story of the name by telling us that he
[27:29]empowered and he gave him the access to resources had amazing access
[27:37]to technology he could travel instantaneously even at night Allah equipped him
[27:45]with a capacity to turn the night in today a type of
[27:49]power that he had a type of lighting that Allah had given
[27:55]him Allah says I gave him access to the means I revealed
[27:58]to him the knowledge of science the knowledge of Technology that comes
[28:04]from Allah here there is a beautiful lesson for us my dear
[28:10]brothers and sisters Allah wants us as Believers as Muslims to always
[28:16]find the means in this universe to supplicate rely on to of
[28:27]success but you have to go and find those means find access
[28:32]to Nature make discoveries that's why the imams peace be upon them
[28:37]they dedicated some of their best students to science chemistry astronomy is
[28:45]astronomy would teach astronomy they would teach biology look at the beautiful
[28:55]book called Imam examines every body part and he basically describes to
[29:03]you what's the function of this body part 14 centuries ago and
[29:09]when Muslims paid attention to science they cared about science and technology
[29:13]they were the Pioneers they were the leaders in the world when
[29:18]Europe was in the Dark Ages Muslim scientists were at the Forefront
[29:23]but then Muslims unfortunately started to abandon knowledge scholarship and Science and
[29:29]that's why the world abandoned them that's why they fell into backwardness
[29:34]Allah commands you find the secrets of this universe go and work
[29:42]hard some of us we sit lazy on our couches expecting Allah
[29:47]to perform a miracle for me go work work hard Allah loves
[29:54]the person who exhausts himself to work and be productive not to
[29:58]an unhealthy point you need to give yourself some rest as well
[30:01]but you should exhaust yourself in productivity you're going to live only
[30:05]once Habibi only once we're not coming here 10 times and 20
[30:10]times and 30 times make use of your time you know how
[30:13]much time we waste my dear brothers and sisters one of the
[30:20]biggest leading causes of sin is having free time on your hands
[30:26]many shabab they ask me say it I'm struggling with my desires
[30:31]with my sins this and that sin what do I do I
[30:34]tell them the best advice I can give you to stop sinning
[30:39]is to keep yourself so busy such that you literally don't have
[30:46]time to sin you know why we sin very simple at a
[30:51]very very basic level you know why we sin because we have
[30:55]the time for it when I have the time to sin chances
[31:00]are I'm going to sin but when I don't give myself that
[31:04]opportunity by keeping myself productive and busy I will sin less and
[31:12]less that's one beautiful lesson that we can learn be preoccupied work
[31:17]hard find those resources Allah Begins the story of the name by
[31:22]telling us he didn't rely on Dua or spirituality to achieve that
[31:28]progress yes he had them he was a righteous servant of Allah
[31:31]however Allah gave him the knowledge he worked hard go find those
[31:37]means Allah says I gave him the knowledge of the means he
[31:41]worked hard he followed those means that is a very beautiful lesson
[31:49]for us so now who is what era did he live in
[31:50]you will find Scholars of tafsir Scholars of the Holy Quran they
[31:56]have very diverse understandings was one group of Scholars they believe that
[32:04]lived before the modern recorded history so we don't really see any
[32:11]traces of his kingdom according to our narrations he came sometime after
[32:16]Prophet salaam so we really don't have anything recorded from that era
[32:21]so we can't put a label on him which king was he
[32:25]which ruler was he we don't know this is one group of
[32:30]Scholars a second group of Scholars they believe that is Alexander the
[32:35]Great the Macedonian who lived around 300 BC what's their evidence they
[32:43]say we believe he's Alexander the Great because occupied most of the
[32:48]world at the time most of the inhabited world and we find
[32:53]that Alexander the Great had a very vast Kingdom so it should
[32:58]be him but many scholars have challenged that many scholars have not
[33:01]accepted this analysis their reason is very simple they say when we
[33:06]look at the life of Alexander the Great we see number one
[33:10]that he wasn't a monotheist he used to worship the Greek gods
[33:15]whereas he was a monotheist he was a servant of Allah so
[33:22]it cannot be Alexander the Great we also see disturbing aspects of
[33:28]Alexander's Legacy he committed acts of Injustice whereas would not commit an
[33:35]act of Injustice so we cannot accept this Theory the third Theory
[33:41]among Scholars which is accepted by many is that was Cyrus the
[33:45]Great kurush we're talking about around 500 BC the great leader who
[33:53]occupied large swaths of land and he established a kingdom in Persia
[33:59]now what is their evidence why do they believe that he's Cyrus
[34:05]the Great number one they say Cyrus the Great was a monotheist
[34:09]there are reports that he believed in a lord called ahura Mazda
[34:13]which means the wise Lord he did not worship the idols and
[34:20]he professed in monotheism so this is one good indicator here secondly
[34:27]he had a very good character he would not commit acts of
[34:31]Injustice for instance the Greek historian Herodotus he says Cyrus the Great
[34:37]would tell his soldiers when we go to a place on let's
[34:39]say there is a battle only fight those who confront you as
[34:45]for the civilians don't kill a single one of them this is
[34:51]a prophetic teaching this is the teaching of someone who has faith
[34:54]and he was also known to be generous so this is another
[35:01]indicator yet another indicator that he was Cyrus the Great is because
[35:05]the Jews asked about they came up with this question so he
[35:07]must have been a figure that they were familiar with well the
[35:11]Jews they have so much respect for Cyrus the Great they considered
[35:18]him the Messiah why what did he do for them he saved
[35:21]them from Babylonian captivity was mastering massacring the Jews and he held
[35:28]them in captivity who is the one who saved them it was
[35:33]Cyrus the Great and so this is an indication that they were
[35:36]familiar with this figure and this could be him another indication is
[35:41]you find in the Book of Daniel in the Old Testament there's
[35:45]a reference to Daniel seeing a dream of a two-horned ram after
[35:51]Prophet Daniel saw this dream the Jews became happy they knew someone
[35:57]would be coming to save them and then Cyrus the Great saved
[36:03]them mean in Arabic has a number of meanings one is the
[36:09]two horns this could be a reference to this dream that's one
[36:15]meaning of another meaning of tarnain is the two horns of the
[36:19]sun meaning the sunrise and the sunset this indicates his very vast
[36:26]Kingdom he ruled from where the Sun would rise all the way
[36:29]to where the sun would set it's a figure of speech a
[36:34]third meaning why he's called is a Hadith from he says the
[36:41]reason why he's called is because one of the meanings of Karan
[36:46]is the side of your head he says he was a Pious
[36:50]person he came to his people he preached to his people they
[36:53]struck him on his right side so he left he disappeared he
[36:59]came back wanting to guide his people they struck him this time
[37:02]on his left side he disappeared then he came now Allah gave
[37:07]him a kingdom and he ruled this is another reason why he's
[37:13]called now was he a prophet or not according to the Hadith
[37:19]peace be upon them was not a prophet in fact Imam was
[37:22]asked about this and he gave a very beautiful example he says
[37:28]was not a prophet yet he received instructions from God and Allah
[37:33]gave him special access to the secrets of the universe and that's
[37:37]how we are the imams of we're not prophets but Allah has
[37:43]given us special access to this universe now what are the journeys
[37:49]that he made because here we take the very important lessons from
[37:52]the life of the name the Holy Quran talks about three Journeys
[37:57]that he made the first one to the West the second one
[38:03]to the east the third one to an area that was mountainous
[38:07]and there was a pass over there let's now shed some light
[38:13]on these beautiful verses in Surah foreign he reached the west where
[38:23]the sun would set the Holy Quran states he saw the sun
[38:28]setting in a body of water that was black and murky where
[38:41]was this place some scholars believe this is Western turkey if you're
[38:45]familiar with the city of Izmir there are some Lakes over there
[38:50]that are muddy and murky they believe this is where it happened
[38:52]this is just a possibility we don't exactly know where this happened
[38:56]you will find some people who are critical of the Holy Quran
[39:02]such as some atheists they tell you see we have found a
[39:05]scientific error in the Quran because this verse states that the sun
[39:09]sets in a murky body of water and we know that's not
[39:15]the case what's the answer to this objection the Holy Quran does
[39:20]not say the sun set in that black body of water the
[39:25]Holy Quran says he saw it setting in that murky body of
[39:33]water the Holy Quran is so cinematic in the way that it
[39:41]portrays to us the story it's like the Quran is telling you
[39:43]here's the lens of imagine you're standing there on the horizon and
[39:51]you see the disc of the sun setting in that sea that's
[39:53]a beautiful tool that the Holy Quran uses the Quran doesn't say
[39:59]it actually sat there he says that's how he saw it and
[40:02]that's the beauty of the Quran it's very cinematic Allah knows how
[40:08]to tell us the best of stories he saw a group of
[40:15]people there there were two types of people in that Village he
[40:22]tells them there are good people in this Village and there are
[40:28]bad people ask for the evil ones threaten them that if they
[40:30]continue their evil you will punish them and the good ones you
[40:35]will reward them what does he say and this is a very
[40:38]beautiful lesson for us this was his philosophy he tells them the
[40:46]one who oppresses I shall seek revenge from them before Allah will
[40:51]seek revenge from them on the day of judgment and those who
[40:55]are good I will be gentle with them in fact I'll be
[41:01]lenient with them I'll give them some passes I'll take less taxes
[41:05]from them here is a very important lesson for us my dear
[41:11]brothers and sisters there's bad discrimination and there's good discrimination bad discrimination
[41:19]is when you discriminate on the basis of color for instance on
[41:23]the basis of race this is unacceptable you cannot discriminate on the
[41:31]basis of race but if you discriminate on the basis of deeds
[41:36]and actions is that acceptable or not do you equate between the
[41:41]evil one and the good one do you equate between the disbeliever
[41:45]and the believer is teaching us a beautiful policy people who are
[41:52]good reward them for their goodness don't equate them with the evil
[41:56]ones that's not fair because you're betraying goodness over here today's society
[42:03]doesn't care about this do we really reward the good doers out
[42:07]there or no he tells him I want you to distinguish the
[42:18]good people who do acts of goodness because if you don't you're
[42:22]betraying the goodness then people won't care about the goodness you should
[42:26]encourage people to become good let them know there are rewards here
[42:29]in this world for being good if you have three four children
[42:36]and one of them stands out he's decent she's very decent they
[42:40]offer Good Deeds Islam encourages you to give them special preferential treatment
[42:46]yes reward them for their acts of goodness that's a very important
[42:52]policy that we must uphold in our families and our societies so
[42:55]that people know that if you're good you will be rewarded for
[42:58]that goodness this is a beautiful lesson from and this explains why
[43:07]most Scholars have issued this fatwa when it comes to organ donation
[43:10]this is a very sensitive issue I know some of you will
[43:14]have an issue with it I've had these conversations with you but
[43:17]I want you to understand at least what's the logic behind it
[43:22]most Scholars State you can donate your organs it's permissible it's disputed
[43:29]by Scholars but many say it's Halal you can donate your organs
[43:33]however there's one condition here they have said if there are two
[43:36]recipients two potential recipients one is a believer One is not a
[43:48]believer you have to donate your organ if you can to the
[43:51]believer some people will say come on this is discrimination what do
[43:55]you mean let's try to understand the logic behind this Islam tells
[43:59]you if you can save all of them save them you're passing
[44:03]by a river you see two people drowning and you can save
[44:09]them both save them whether they're Believers or not but let's say
[44:13]you can only save one one of them is a Believer the
[44:17]second one is not a Believer what do you do who do
[44:19]you save the believer discrimination someone says why are you discriminating is
[44:25]that discrimination if you save the believer why is that not discrimination
[44:31]you're rewarding the believer for his acts of goodness if you go
[44:39]and save the criminal if you save the evil one you're betraying
[44:44]Iman you're betraying Good Deeds this is not discrimination that is why
[44:48]Scholars say if you can choose who your recipient is choose the
[44:55]one who has Iman the one who has faith think about it
[44:58]you used your heart to your liver during your life to worship
[45:01]Allah trying your best to follow the rules of Allah then you
[45:08]give this heart to someone who's going to use this heart to
[45:10]disobey Allah to drink to commit acts of evil are you okay
[45:18]with that if there is a recipient who's a Believer don't you
[45:21]want to give it to that believer this is not discrimination this
[45:27]is distinguishes the distinguishing those who are good the good doers and
[45:32]Allah encourages you to distinguish them to reward them that is not
[45:38]discrimination so you find this principle in the Holy Quran if we
[45:43]don't know that's fine we're assuming that you do know there are
[45:46]two recipients you know that one is a believer One is not
[45:49]a Believer let's say you know that and you have the choice
[45:54]to actually designate who your recipient is that's what the scholars discuss
[45:59]sometimes you can say I can't choose who the recipient is that's
[46:02]another discussion or I don't know who is better than the other
[46:07]in terms of their Iman that's fine we're looking at a case
[46:10]when you know let me give you an example one is a
[46:11]believer One is an atheist if a Believer needs your heart your
[46:17]kidney your liver and an atheist needs it who should you give
[46:22]it to you should give it to the believer because that's how
[46:24]you honor Iman in faith don't let someone come and tell you
[46:29]no this is discrimination it's not discrimination I have a valid criteria
[46:32]here there's a difference between an atheist and a believer atheism my
[46:39]dear brothers and sisters is an ideological crime you know why I'll
[46:44]give you a very simple example why atheism is an ideological crime
[46:49]you know what an atheist really tells you if there is a
[46:55]child a five-year-old child who's suffering who's born with a disability he's
[46:59]suffering every single day you know what an atheist tells you he
[47:05]tells the child basically look suffer all you want there is no
[47:09]compensation there is no reward you'll just become dust isn't that an
[47:15]ideological crime or as the believer comes and gives this child patience
[47:19]be patient it's okay Allah will reward you can you equate between
[47:27]these two imagine there's a child who's going through pain he's going
[47:32]through some issues some problems his father the next day wants to
[47:36]take him to Disney World now the child is happy they tell
[47:40]him it's okay be patient let's go through this tomorrow you're going
[47:42]to go to your favorite theme park this gives him patience and
[47:45]then someone from the street or one of your friends comes and
[47:48]tells him no no this is all a lie don't believe in
[47:52]any of this you're gonna suffer now you're gonna suffer tomorrow there
[47:55]is no going to Disney World is that fair does that person
[48:00]have the right to come and say that that's what an atheist
[48:03]does and atheists tells you there is no God there's no compensation
[48:06]there's no reward you're gonna suffer too bad tough luck there's no
[48:12]even purpose for you in life you're just some evolutionary accident out
[48:16]there sorry tomorrow you die you become dust there's no compensation that's
[48:21]an ideological crime I can't equate between this two so this is
[48:27]the lesson that we learned from my dear brothers and sisters he
[48:30]says reward the good ones and the evil ones no don't give
[48:35]them the same treatment that you give to the good ones so
[48:38]this happened on his first journey let's now go to his second
[48:45]Journey the second journey of Abdul Karne was to the east he
[48:51]went Far East to where the sun rises from this means the
[48:57]farthest point that you can go east some scholars believe this was
[49:01]somewhere maybe in China on the borders of China what happens over
[49:05]here what does he see he sees a group of people Allah
[49:10]says we have not put a barrier between them and the son
[49:14]they're exposed to the Sun this group of people was A Primitive
[49:19]people they did not know how to build homes they did not
[49:23]know how to build a roof this is so they would be
[49:28]always exposed to sunlight or they did not have enough clothes to
[49:33]protect themselves from sunlight another tapseal is that this area was a
[49:38]desert there were no mountains or trees to block them from sunlight
[49:44]he goes and he checks on them people isolated in some desert
[49:51]Allah commands him go check on them see if they need anything
[49:53]sometimes there are people in your life you need to check on
[49:57]them my dear brothers and sisters you could be having a neighbor
[49:59]on your street who's suffering have we ever thought of going on
[50:05]them and checking on them there may be someone quiet out there
[50:09]in the community person doesn't have many friends normally what do we
[50:13]do we ignore people like that we only care about popular people
[50:17]right there's this poor guy sitting in the corner of a classroom
[50:21]nobody cares about them go check on them this person may be
[50:26]given a treasure by Allah that you don't have this person is
[50:29]the creation of Allah so Allah commands him on his second journey
[50:35]to go and check on this group of people then the final
[50:38]and the most interesting Journey then he goes to an area that's
[50:46]mountainous and there's a past there's a Gorge we don't exactly know
[50:50]where that area was some scholars believe it's an area between the
[50:53]Black Sea and the Caspian Sea and the caucus in modern day
[50:58]Georgia not the state of Georgia here in the U.S the country
[51:01]Georgia and Eastern Europe there's a mountain rage that separates the north
[51:07]from the south that's where he goes what happens there he reached
[51:14]an area where you had a pass between two mountains he found
[51:21]a group of people there who could not communicate well they couldn't
[51:29]communicate properly there was some communication barrier that's how the Quran describes
[51:34]them Scholars have two understandings of why there was that communication barrier
[51:44]one group of scholars believe intellectually these people were not advanced so
[51:51]they couldn't really communicate well they were very primitive another tough seal
[51:56]is no they could communicate but a different language so he needed
[52:01]someone to translate for them in any case what we know from
[52:07]the Holy Quran is on his third trip this group of people
[52:09]had a language barrier communication barrier even though they struggled to communicate
[52:16]they asked to help them they needed help there are two tribes
[52:25]on the other side of the mountain their names are Jews every
[52:30]once in a while they come they raid our Villages they confiscate
[52:37]our resources they destroy us and leave please we have a request
[52:41]from you can you build some sort of fence some sort of
[52:43]barrier to protect us from them and we'll pay you we are
[52:48]willing to pay you are you willing to help us look at
[52:52]the response it's okay I don't need your money what Allah has
[53:00]given me is better than what you can give me I'm satisfied
[53:05]with the blessings Allah has given me sometimes my dear brothers and
[53:10]sisters we get extremely greedy extremely greedy we want more and more
[53:16]and more every opportunity we have we want to make more you
[53:20]know islamically my dear brothers and sisters even if you have a
[53:22]Halal business you know it's macro macro means it's not Haram it's
[53:29]discouraged there's less Baraka in your life when you commit an act
[53:33]of makro it's macro to make a huge profit it's unrecommended don't
[53:40]take advantage of people even if you can charge 500 and make
[53:46]a 500 profit if it's Halal it's fine if you're not ripping
[53:48]off someone it's fine but it's makro Islam teaches you be content
[53:54]because the more you charge money and the more you want money
[53:59]the greater you'll become that's the philosophy of life he tells them
[54:03]it's okay I don't need your money however I do ask for
[54:07]one thing but I want you to help me I could use
[54:11]your muscles I could use your Manpower was able to create that
[54:19]barrier and damn for them he was able to do that but
[54:23]he wanted them to be involved in bringing a solution to this
[54:30]problem it's much more effective my dear brothers and sisters when someone
[54:33]has a problem to involve them in creative thinking so they can
[54:39]arrive at a solution don't give people Solutions teach them how to
[54:43]figure out the solution if there's a problem in your family okay
[54:46]with your children with their upbringing maybe their behavior maybe the way
[54:51]they're spending at home instead of just giving them Solutions involve them
[54:56]in finding a solution on a Saturday night get together with your
[55:00]spouse your children your parents whoever they are and say we have
[55:05]a problem in the family how can we fix this brainstorm together
[55:08]when people come up with the solution they feel like it's their
[55:15]solution at that point they're much more willing to implement it that's
[55:19]a beautiful lesson that Durkin teaches us he had the power to
[55:22]create that damn that they wanted but he's like no I want
[55:26]you to help me I don't want your money but come what
[55:28]do you want bring me huge sheets of iron you see this
[55:38]Gorge this mountain pass let's block it so yeah can no longer
[55:41]come and raid you can you help me with that they're like
[55:45]of course we can so they brought these huge sheets of iron
[55:49]they filled that Gap in that pass and then look at the
[55:57]technology that Allah gave he's like bring me fire now I want
[56:00]you now to weld these sheets of iron blow blow on these
[56:06]sheets of iron so we can weld them so we can make
[56:11]a very fortified and strong Dam then he told them I want
[56:14]you to bring molten copper let's put the copper on it so
[56:25]this strengthens the iron and so he built a very powerful dam
[56:28]for them this blocked yet from effectively coming and destroying these villages
[56:36]and that's how the name was able to help those people after
[56:42]he built that huge Dam it was a huge accomplishment the biggest
[56:46]dam in history during that era made from Iron no one had
[56:51]the technology to do that you know what he said when he
[56:55]finished look at the humbleness of this great warrior this great servant
[57:03]of Allah he says this is all from my Lord there's a
[57:07]beautiful lesson over here my dear brothers and sisters many times in
[57:10]this Dunya when we have an achievement when we make an achievement
[57:15]we feel like we are the owners of that achievement always be
[57:20]humbled you're the best doctor thank Allah Allah gave you the resources
[57:24]you're a good nurse a good teacher a successful businessman thank Allah
[57:32]and share your success with others True Believers share their success with
[57:40]other people because they know everything is from Allah nothing in this
[57:45]life they own Allah has allowed you to borrow his resources many
[57:49]times if someone is being successful in my field we got bothered
[57:53]right how many times have you seen fights between business owners this
[57:58]person opens up a business another person opens up another business on
[58:04]the other side he gets ticked off people fight people kill each
[58:07]other because of that my dear brothers and sisters a true man
[58:09]A True Believer if you have a successful business and people learned
[58:13]from you even if they're copying your business be thankful to Allah
[58:19]say oh Allah you are the razak at the end of the
[58:23]day I thank you for using me as a tool to inspire
[58:27]others how to make money how to be successful in their lives
[58:33]be thankful to Allah don't be bothered believe me if you help
[58:37]others out there your quality of life will not get worse it
[58:40]will get better that's a beautiful lesson that we learned from him
[58:45]every time you make an achievement remind yourself this is from Allah
[58:51]and that's truly a fascinating lesson that we learned from now who
[58:58]are you yeah historically were two tribes that lived in Northern Asia
[59:06]they were very vicious large in numbers and they would destroy the
[59:09]villages that they would raid now in our hadiths especially if you
[59:13]look at the hadiths of other schools of thought there are mythical
[59:17]descriptions of who they are mythical descriptions like some sort of aliens
[59:23]yeah George and met George will appear at the End of Time
[59:27]blocked them he stopped their Mischief Allah stopped their aggression but one
[59:33]of the signs of the reappearance of Allah is that yeah will
[59:41]be able to penetrate that Dam it will crumble they will penetrate
[59:48]and they will start to spread their aggression around the planet this
[59:52]is one of the signs of the reappearance of element until he
[59:58]reappears with Prophet Isa is the one who gets rid of them
[60:03]we don't exactly know which you know country they are which nation
[60:09]they are there are some people who say they come from China
[60:14]we don't know that this is not clear in our hadiths but
[60:16]they are people who spread a lot of Injustice on the face
[60:22]of the planet then the Imam alaihissalam will rise and he will
[60:25]save the world from destruction it could be it could be that
[60:27]those parts of Asia during the end of times they will be
[60:33]so influential with their Mass numbers they will cause and wreak havoc
[60:38]around the world this is a possibility but we cannot put a
[60:41]label and say I know there are some people they'll you'll see
[60:45]YouTube videos saying yeah they're the Chinese the Chinese people they're going
[60:50]to you know take control of the world and destroy it that's
[60:53]not clear from our hadiths yes they come from that area but
[60:58]we don't know who exactly they are but we do know that
[61:00]Allah will protect us from them through the reappearance of element this
[61:08]is my dear brothers and sisters and these are the lessons that
[61:14]we learn from the legacy of this great king who was so
[61:17]humble before Allah if we humble our hearts before God Allah subhanahu
[61:24]ta'ala will preserve your legacy on this night our hearts remember one
[61:33]of the Warriors of karbala in fact The Greatest Warrior after Imam
[61:39]al-hussein would not have been without as long as he was present
[61:55]ladies felt safe the woman and the children they felt safe they
[62:05]had a guardian they had a protector like Salah on the day
[62:14]of Ashura sees his brothers one by one being killed they fall
[62:20]as shahada he sees the companions of Imam Hussain one by one
[62:24]being killed and he hears the cries of the children his Compassionate
[62:34]Heart could no longer handle hearing the words of Allah from those
[62:42]children he walks up to Imam and Hussein he tells him my
[62:55]dear brother my chest is tight I'm very depressed because of these
[63:01]people please I don't want to live anymore please allow me to
[63:08]go and fight them you see how vicious they are they want
[63:11]to kill you they want to harass these children Abba Abdullah I've
[63:18]lost patience I beg you my master give me permission to go
[63:21]Imam husseinam tells him my dear brother you are the commander of
[63:28]my Army you go and I lose you I affect to have
[63:30]an army anymore how can I lose you boss and Abbas keeps
[63:36]begging his brother Jose finally is in he tells him okay brother
[63:43]if you must go if you insist then try to go to
[63:49]the river and bring some water for these children you hear them
[63:54]crying finally I can go and fight these enemies finally I have
[64:08]a chance to bring some water for these children he rides on
[64:14]his and he is the son of Amir with so much courage
[64:16]with so much strength and power he goes to the river of
[64:23]farat there were four thousand men guarding the river with his Valor
[64:29]with his courage he manages to break them apart to make them
[64:33]disperse from around the river finally he victoriously reaches the river of
[64:39]farad he now comes down from his horse he feels the coolness
[64:49]of the water imagine imagine two three days not drinking any water
[64:53]he feels the coolness of the water but at that point instead
[65:01]of drinking all believers he remembers The Thirst of his brother Jose
[65:07]foreign impossible Abbas drinks water when his master is still thirsty when
[65:12]the children are thirsty no he takes a handful of the water
[65:15]he looks at the water then he spills the water and he
[65:20]says oh nerves humble yourself before saying you think you could live
[65:37]after Jose there's no life after Jose this is your master Hussein
[65:50]surrounded with death and you want to taste the water no Wallah
[65:53]that's not what my religion teaches me that's not what I learned
[65:57]from the prophet salallahu alaihi my faith will be the same Faith
[66:03]he had a jug of water he fills it with water now
[66:08]Believers my dear brothers and sisters has one goal in his life
[66:14]right now he's withering he's dying from thirst this was his only
[66:29]goal in life he mounts on his horse he carries his sword
[66:36]and he carries with his left arm the jug of water now
[66:41]he's trying to go back to the tents of Imam Hussain the
[66:44]enemies they realize if he manages to get the water on the
[66:49]other side if Imam for saying drinks from this water and he's
[66:51]strengthened that's it they might lose the battle he tells his men
[66:57]what are you waiting for you must block him from going surround
[67:01]him from every direction take him down all believers is now going
[67:11]towards the tent Abbas is passing by the palm trees one of
[67:16]those enemies he was lurking he was hiding behind the palm tree
[67:22]when he sees that Abbas passing he jumps at alabas with his
[67:27]sword he strikes on the right arm of an Abbas he loses
[67:36]his right arm his arm falls to the ground what does he
[67:44]say does he lose any strength does he lose hope no he
[67:48]says I swear by your life you cut my right arm I'll
[68:00]continue to defend my religion to defend the prophet his family I'll
[68:03]continue to defend Imam Hussain still has hope he carries his sword
[68:14]with his left arm and he carries the sack of water the
[68:16]jug of water water was with his teeth he still had hope
[68:21]I can probably get to the tent then as he's passing o
[68:24]Believers another one of those enemies he takes out his sword and
[68:31]he cuts the left arm of his two hands his two arms
[68:38]but you know what he still had hope he's still trying to
[68:41]go to the tents of Imam Hussain he's carrying the jug of
[68:47]water with his teeth oh Believers here comes the tragedy Allah like
[68:53]about what happens they surround him from every direction the arrows come
[68:59]raining down oh Believers he's still trying to go he's trying to
[69:08]go fast towards the tents when an arrow comes and it lands
[69:12]in his blessed eyes [Music] Los loses one of his eyes he
[69:19]still had hope I can still make it maybe I can give
[69:24]this water to those children oh Believers the tragedy came when an
[69:29]arrow came landing at the jug of water it pierced it all
[69:34]the water spills when the water is spilled he stopped he looked
[69:47]at himself there's a there's an arrow in my eye I don't
[69:53]have water to go to the tents I don't have hands what's
[69:55]the point of going to the tents now so zainab sees me
[70:00]like that the enemies they see him confused he doesn't know where
[70:07]to go now what to do oh Believers while he's still on
[70:14]his horse contemplating what to do an evil man comes with an
[70:18]iron Rod he strikes does he falls from his horse to the
[70:29]ground and when you have hands and you fall you use your
[70:32]hands to protect yourself you use your hands to absorb the impact
[70:37]you know from his horse there was an arrow in his eye
[70:42]thank you at that point he called on his Imam using the
[70:53]word ducky brother this is my farewell I'm going um he hears
[71:08]his brother Abbas falling to the ground he charges he comes like
[71:14]a lion slows down you know how Imam and Hussein walked up
[71:26]to his body they saw the Imam with his back bent he
[71:34]could not walk upright when he saw the body of Abbas he
[71:41]said with a faint voice my brother now my back has been
[71:57]broken I've lost you I've lost my Army I've lost everything Imam
[72:05]Hussain walks up to about us he sees the arrow in one
[72:13]of his eyes he sees his head smashed sees he's lost his
[72:20]two hands you know what Imam Hussain does he sits by Abel
[72:24]father I used to carry the head of a box in his
[72:28]life he realizes is drawing his head away from the lap of
[72:35]Imam Imam Hussain tries to put it in his lap he keeps
[72:41]pulling it away he tells him my brother what's the matter I'm
[72:49]your brother Jose why don't why don't you want me to carry
[72:56]your head in my love he tells him brother now you are
[73:01]carrying my head in your lap in an hour when you get
[73:08]killed who's going to carry your head in a slap foreign [Music]
[73:42]she sees Imam Hussain taking the pole of the tent and he
[73:49]strikes it when zainab sees the tent of Abbas falling down she
[73:56]realized the message from Imam Hussain she started yelling foreign Jabba with
[75:07]her son all the time everywhere a boss with a sign all
[75:26]the time everywhere a boss with his sword defended the truth defended
[75:35]for sign a boss a boss became the hater of karabala a
[75:41]boss became the flag bearer of karabala a boss became the bright
[75:51]moon of foreign [Laughter] [Laughter] foreign he held the flag of God
[77:25]his loyalty is unmatched in history of us to the end he
[77:38]was Brave he died for the truth of the boss who was
[77:44]he the son of the lion who was he the son of
[77:54]the lion who is he the one who went through all the
[77:57]pain who was he the flag bearer of Jose foreign foreign [Music]
