[21:48]The topic for tonight's mud list is the spiritual horizons in the
[21:54]character of Imam Hussein Alisam.
[21:55]Kindly join me in welcoming to the member Sheikh Muhammad with the
[22:00]recitation of three loud salawad.
[22:00]Muhammad Ali Muhammad God speech.
[22:50]I'm telling you.
[23:06]Allah [Music] Think [Music] of Hussein Hussein.
[24:11][Music] For the love of Abdah Hussein, with the loudest of our
[24:30]voices, [Music] for the purification of our hearts and hastening of the
[24:42]reappearance of our beloved, the 12 im with the loudest of our
[24:47]voices.
[24:49][Music] Once again, lovers and the followers of we thank almighty Allah
[25:06]for gracing us with this fourth night of the holy month of
[25:16]muharam.
[25:13]We pray that Allah tabar wa'ala accept our humble efforts in this
[25:22]holy month of muharam and make us worthy of being the true
[25:26]lovers and the followers of sud shada the tradition I've just quoted
[25:36]no doubt is a known tradition to all of us it's a
[25:41]tradition narrated by both the Shia and the Sunnis.
[25:46]The holy prophet said, "Hussein is from me and I am from
[25:56]Hussein.
[25:55]Allah loves whoever loves Hussein and Allah hates who hates Hussein and
[26:04]Hussein is one of the grandsons amongst the tribes." Now departing from
[26:12]this beautiful tradition, our topic of tonight is the spiritual horizons in
[26:21]Imm Hussein's character.
[26:23]Aim behind tonight's discussion is to first and foremost inspire myself and
[26:32]inspire each and every one of us to work on our spirituality
[26:38]to work on our relationship with Allah to try as much as
[26:48]we can to take our journey of soul purification to the next
[26:53]level cuz at the end of the day what matters to Allah
[26:59]is our soul purification.
[27:01]Regardless of who you are, regardless of your circumstance, regardless of your
[27:09]status, what is important is to be the true servants of Allah.
[27:15]We are all created to achieve this to feel the presence of
[27:23]almighty Allah wherever you may be.
[27:25]And so examination of tonight and will be of the following stages.
[27:34]The first stage we will look at Imam Hussein's movemental dimension or
[27:43]if you like activist dimension and then the last stage of our
[27:48]examination we will look at Imam Hussein's mystical dimension.
[27:56]Brothers and sisters, when you examine Imam Hussein's mystical or spiritual personality,
[28:07]you realize that his mystical personality is made up of two major
[28:14]dimensions.
[28:14]Kindly pay attention to these dimensions.
[28:17]The first dimension is activist or movemental dimension.
[28:24]hierarchy.
[28:27]The second dimension is mystical and spiritual dimension.
[28:35]Now movemental or activist dimension of the personality of Imam Hussein manifest
[28:48]in Imam's love for madam.
[28:53]Now question what is madam?
[28:57]I want us to reflect on this a bit is not what
[29:08]scholars call is not an emotional reaction to an unpleasant experience or
[29:16]situation.
[29:18]meaning one is experiencing something unpleasant something disgusting and he or she
[29:26]is unable to overcome it then you decide to say you know
[29:29]what I don't want to live anymore so madam is not emotional
[29:38]reaction on a second level mdom of course is not suicidal thoughts
[29:42]that's not mart I'm faced with a situation and I just want
[29:49]to be free from the pains I'm going through.
[29:52]So I don't want to be here.
[29:55]That's not matter.
[29:55]On a third level, it's not like you want to change something
[30:02]in a community or society and people are not barging and you
[30:08]try your level best, it's not happening.
[30:10]Then you say, you know what, I don't want to be with
[30:12]these people, I'm gone.
[30:14]does not matter.
[30:17]Now what is mart?
[30:19]Martrdom simply means martrdom is the eradicating of the love of this
[30:35]and self from the soul.
[30:38]Detachment from detachment from egoism.
[30:44]Detachment from unnecessary self interest is what mart is all about.
[30:53]Therefore, we do have a differences between martrdom and emotional reaction and
[31:01]other forms of reactions.
[31:03]We've just mentioned other forms of reactions of not wanting to live.
[31:09]You know what is that?
[31:14]It is for the sake of self.
[31:16]But martrdom is not for the sake of self.
[31:20]Martrdom is for the sake of the highest purpose.
[31:27]I hope you are following.
[31:30]Mr.
[31:31]is not for my sake.
[31:35]Hussein did not become a matter for his sake.
[31:44]Did not become a matter for his sake.
[31:48]All our beloved they became ms for the sake of the highest
[31:57]purpose.
[31:58]And the highest purpose is none other but Allah tab wa ta'ala.
[32:04]And hence my dear brothers and sisters I draw your attention to
[32:10]something very fundamental.
[32:12]Martam has three main traits characteristics.
[32:19]Understand these characteristics and you will appreciate the essence of martyrdom within
[32:27]the religion of Islam.
[32:29]The first trait of martyrdom is what scholars refer to as sacred
[32:39]feeling if you like holy sense.
[32:44]There are two major feelings in life.
[32:48]We have instinctive feeling and we have sacred feeling.
[32:55]What is instinctive feeling?
[33:00]Is what drives you towards desire.
[33:02]Whatever drives you a towards food is instinctive nature.
[33:06]It's a natural feeling.
[33:09]Whatever drives you towards your family is instinctive.
[33:13]Nature something natural.
[33:15]Whatever drives you towards wealth towards money is instinctive.
[33:21]This what scholars call instinctive feeling.
[33:27]And Quran discusses instinctive feeling.
[33:29]For example, you look at verse number 14.
[33:49]beautified to people the love of what they desire of women of
[34:02]sons of heaps sums of silver and gold till the land.
[34:07]So these are instinctive feelings.
[34:14]These are instinctive sense and desires.
[34:15]Likewise Allah in verse 20 20 we human beans we are so
[34:30]severing money in loving wealth is instinctive feeling.
[34:32]That's not about martrdom.
[34:35]Martrdom is about what?
[34:41]Holy feeling.
[34:41]What is holy feeling?
[34:44]My dear brothers and sisters, it is a feeling that transcend that
[34:52]transcend one's personal desire.
[34:55]It's beyond personal desire.
[34:59]That's holy feeling.
[35:03]And holy feeling comes with three dimensions.
[35:09]The first dimension is this holy feeling brings about yearning for the
[35:23]truth.
[35:22]Every matter yearn for the truth.
[35:26]What do I mean by the truth here?
[35:27]Knowledge.
[35:29]You cannot be a good Muslim without knowledge.
[35:35]Habibi, you cannot be a true lover and a follower of Alb
[35:43]without investing your time in knowledge acquisition.
[35:47]Today, what causes problems and challenges in our world is compound ignorance.
[35:55]As Im Amir Alisam beautifully mentioned, people of knowledge are of two
[36:03]types and ignorance are ignorants are also of two types.
[36:06]People of knowledge, the first type is there are some of them
[36:13]who know and they know that they know.
[36:14]Second group, they know but they don't know that they know.
[36:21]At least they've got the knowledge.
[36:24]They're humble.
[36:23]But the ignorant are also too.
[36:28]First group they don't know and they know that they don't know.
[36:31]So they humble they go for knowledge.
[36:36]The second group of ignorance they are those who are causing fitna.
[36:40]Compound ignorance.
[36:43]They don't know.
[36:47]And they don't know that they don't know.
[36:49]Compound the first one.
[36:53]They don't know the second ignorant.
[36:56]They don't know that they don't know.
[36:59]They trying to justify lies.
[37:03]So this holy feeling on a first level brings about yearning for
[37:12]the truth.
[37:13]And I take this opportunity to invite one and all regardless of
[37:19]your circumstance, regardless of your status, keep learning, keep acquiring knowledge.
[37:24]Islam is about knowledge.
[37:26]Without knowledge, it becomes boring.
[37:29]You will never and ever be satisfied of knowledge.
[37:32]As per the tradition of the holy prophet, he said there are
[37:37]two group two groups of people.
[37:38]They are never satisfied.
[37:39]The seeker of this world and the seeker of knowledge.
[37:43]our own beloved prophet made dua in Quran.
[37:57]The second characteristic of holy feeling is holy brings about yearning and
[38:13]wanting to do good.
[38:15]That's why they did good and they did due diligence.
[38:22]When it comes to doing good, one cannot be a true matter
[38:31]without wanting to do good.
[38:32]And then the last characteristic of a holy feeling is what?
[38:38]Seeking God.
[38:46]Yearning for beauty.
[38:49]The most beautiful is Allah.
[38:53]That is why he say he was on the ground but he
[39:04]will call out.
[39:13]There are different versions.
[39:20]He said, "Ya Allah, I've left everything of these creations and I'm
[39:28]making my children orphans.
[39:29]If they are to chop me into pieces, this my heart will
[39:35]not divert to anyone but you, oh Allah." My dear brothers and
[39:43]sisters, yearn for God.
[39:45]Imadam would say, "Ya Allah, I know you through you and you
[40:05]are the one who indicated me to you and invited me to
[40:12]you.
[40:13]If it wasn't of you, I wouldn't have known you.
[40:19]You know it very well.
[40:24]Or the one whose essence indicate to his essence.
[40:28]What's the essence of Allah?
[40:30]The existence of Allah.
[40:33]What's the existence of Allah?
[40:34]The essence of Allah.
[40:35]But I and you, you have something called essence and you have
[40:40]something called existence.
[40:40]But Allah's essence is not distinct from the existence of Allah and
[40:45]the other way around.
[40:48]So this is crucial.
[40:51]So the first trait is what?
[40:57]Second trait of martyrdom is planning for eternal life.
[41:08]Here also I would like to draw your attention to something very
[41:16]important.
[41:13]You see we have two types of souls.
[41:18]One soul find it pleasing and fulfilling whatever it has in this
[41:26]world.
[41:30]That soul is happy with whatever this temporary wealth present it with.
[41:38]The other soul no it is not satisfied with whatever this world
[41:47]present it with.
[41:47]Here philosopher say if you examine your existence you realize that your
[41:51]existence is of two dimensions.
[41:54]You have what is called the physical dimension to your existence and
[42:00]you have a recognized or extended dimension.
[42:01]Physical dimension is how many number of years you spend in this
[42:08]world.
[42:09]100 years, 50 years.
[42:09]That's okay.
[42:09]But the extended dimension is what?
[42:13]What am I able to achieve out of the 100 years given
[42:16]to me by Allah?
[42:18]So in trying to understand planning for eternal life, we have one
[42:23]soul that is satisfied with the wealth it has, with the fame
[42:26]it has.
[42:28]But no, the other soul want its name to remain forever even
[42:35]if it is no more in this world.
[42:36]Matter is not just about this world.
[42:41]Mr.
[42:43]is about the name of the person or the values the person
[42:49]stand for remains forever even will be mentioned on the day of
[42:55]and hence all of us in our own small ways we can
[42:59]embark on a journey of martyrdom.
[43:03]Wow.
[43:02]Sodaka is a form of martyrdom cuz when you give sodaka sincerely
[43:10]your name will remain Allah will grant you eternal life.
[43:13]Proper teria of our children is a form of martrdom.
[43:19]When you give your children the best of even if you are
[43:24]no more in this world your name will remain forever and ever.
[43:28]You know the tradition of the prophet isn't it?
[43:42]when the son of Adam depart from this world, nothing helps him
[43:48]or her apart from three things.
[43:49]The first one is running charity.
[43:51]You help build the mosque.
[43:53]Your name is going to be remembered eternally.
[43:57]You reach out to those who are in need and they continue
[44:02]to benefit from it.
[44:01]Your name is going to be remembered.
[44:06]You are blessed with knowledge and you unconditionally share their knowledge.
[44:10]When you are no more and people benefit from your knowledge, it
[44:14]will go a long way.
[44:15]The third one prophet said or you leave behind a solid son
[44:23]or daughter.
[44:22]Proper upbringing note note means what?
[44:32]Transfer of information to your children ria providing everything of this junior.
[44:37]The best house, the best car, best holidays.
[44:41]That's okay.
[44:43]These are all prerequisite to tabia means what?
[44:47]is to identify god-given talents of your sons and daughters and nature
[44:52]them to ensure that they achieve it.
[44:56]The best talent given to all by Allah is so you leave
[45:05]behind a good child, you sorted.
[45:09]But the highest form is when someone's blood is shed.
[45:16]In the case of Shada we mentioned last night, he held ali
[45:24]looked at the people.
[45:27]Am I the target or this infant baby?
[45:30]What was the response?
[45:36]Harala struck it very hard to the neck of Ali Ascar.
[45:40]What did I say do?
[45:44]Collect the blood threw it to the sky.
[45:50]So therefore on a second level a m plan for eternal life.
[45:58]Let's go to the last street of madram.
[46:03]A mother has a big heart.
[46:08]We have small hearts and we have big hearts.
[46:15]What is small hearts?
[46:18]The soul easily get tired.
[46:23]What is big heart?
[46:25]The body may be tired but the soul will never tired in
[46:28]chanting Allah.
[46:32]mention.
[46:35]He said their body endure hardship and people find comfort in them.
[46:46]The holy prophet made his crystal clear prophet said my two eyes
[46:59]are fast asleep but the soul is not sleeping about Allah that's
[47:05]matter so on the first level I imus is shaki is a
[47:17]person of movement is an activist.
[47:20]Now let's go to the second stage.
[47:24]The mystical personality of Imam Hussein here.
[47:28]Please pay attention and go and do your own homework.
[47:35]If you truly want to appreciate the mystical personality of Im Hussein,
[47:41]the best door to knock is dua.
[47:49]This dua my dear brothers and sisters they are spirits of the
[47:56]holy prophet Imminham.
[48:05]This dua focuses on self constructive criticism.
[48:13]Next to that, anyone or any community who fails to now and
[48:24]then engages in self constructive criticism will never prosper.
[48:31]Don't wait for someone to come and tell you your majist is
[48:35]this, your interaction is this.
[48:37]You have to do what is called self constructive criticism.
[48:41]Don't wait for somebody to come and tell you your leadership is
[48:48]this.
[48:46]We are all required to do self constructive criticism.
[48:52]It is only through self- constructive criticism we grow and we develop.
[49:00]Dua my dear brothers and sisters of Imus invite us to engage
[49:10]on a very deep and powerful self constructive criticism cuz through that
[49:19]I get to know who I am.
[49:22]Otherwise, if I don't do self- constructive criticism, what will happen?
[49:31]Arrogance will overtake me and I'll always think I'm the best.
[49:39]I'm on top of my game.
[49:39]And we as human beings without pausing sometimes in our life to
[49:49]double check we may hit a strong pothole.
[49:51]That is why in a known tradition before we look at the
[49:58]dua the holy prophet invites one and all to benefit from five
[50:03]before five come.
[50:05]Prophet invite the youth.
[50:09]Benefit from your youthfulness before you become old.
[50:11]Now you are strong.
[50:15]You can stand and pray.
[50:15]You can walk back and forth.
[50:20]Your eyes are clear.
[50:20]Take advantage of this wall.
[50:24]A time will come when you will wish to do things and
[50:26]you will not be able to do.
[50:30]That's when you will chew your finger.
[50:31]Number two, prophet said benefit from your health before you become ill.
[50:38]Go to the hospital and ask those who are ill.
[50:41]Common surgery that people cannot do because of illness.
[50:46]We are blessed and we are not like more health conscious than
[50:52]those there.
[50:54]These are all ti and the blessings of Allah.
[50:56]Benefit from your health before you become sick.
[51:00]Number three, the holy prophet beautifully mentioned benefit from your time before
[51:07]you become busy.
[51:08]Now you have time.
[51:13]Seek Allah.
[51:11]Look for Allah.
[51:14]Connect with Allah.
[51:16]Worship Allah.
[51:18]Don't miss your salah.
[51:20]A time will come will be quick quickly.
[51:25]You want to finish.
[51:26]Benefit from your time before you become busy.
[51:31]Likewise, the Holy Prophet taught us benefit from your wealth before you
[51:39]lose it.
[51:38]Cuz we've seen people from zero to hero and from her to
[51:47]zero.
[51:44]Now that you have benefit from it before it is too late,
[51:53]I found this very fascinating in dua invite us to sit somewhere
[52:01]and reflect and engage in self- constructive criticism.
[52:05]And I im mentioned so many blocks.
[52:09]I'm just going to mention three because of time.
[52:12]Number one, say taught us if you truly want to engage in
[52:20]self- constructive criticism, you need to have what is called, selfaware, selfnowledge.
[52:30]Do you know yourself?
[52:36]Really?
[52:34]Do you really know yourself?
[52:38]Who are you?
[52:41]The pro the tradition of the prophet.
[52:42]You know it very well.
[52:47]Whoever knows himself knows his lord.
[52:50]But do you really my father, my brother, my sister.
[52:54]Can you put hand on heart and tell me you know who
[52:59]you are?
[53:01]If you know who you are, why you miss your salat?
[53:05]Because it is said anyone who knows himself will know Allah.
[53:10]If you know who you are, why your Quran is not good?
[53:16]If you know who you are, why you gossip?
[53:20]Cuz prophet said, "If I know myself, I will know my Lord."
[53:26]This requires sitting somewhere alone and reflect.
[53:32]One of the way to know myself quickly is that I believe
[53:37]and I know and I recognize wholeheartedly my life is limited.
[53:44]My knowledge is limited.
[53:48]My wealth is limited.
[53:48]My fame is limited.
[53:53]My community is limited.
[53:54]Habibi my entire existence and what I have is limited.
[53:57]That is the beginning of our journey towards knowing ourself.
[54:02]So that in return we get to reconnect and know Allah.
[54:06]But now look at what IM Hussein said.
[54:08]Wallah I find this fascinating and emotional.
[54:10]It makes me emotional sometimes when I recite this.
[54:14]Imam Hussein in dua.
[54:18]He invite us to know Allah through knowing ourselves.
[54:23]You know what he said?
[54:43]Let's do this and then we go forward.
[54:46]Imm said, "Ya Allah, I am poor in my richness.
[54:53]How could I not be poor in my poverty?" Think about it.
[55:02]Then he said, "Ya Allah, I am ignorant in my knowledge.
[55:08]How could I not be ignorant in my ignorance?" Allah, you think
[55:16]you know Imam Hussein is better than you.
[55:21]Allah, do we really know Im Hussein?
[55:28]This is deep mystical teachings.
[55:33]This is not hunky dory la.
[55:35]This is something extra.
[55:39]And you know further in inviting us to know ourselves.
[55:44]You know what I said?
[55:55]Allah he said yeah Allah whose virtues are nothing but mere flaws.
[56:08]How can his flaws be nothing but flaws?
[56:19]So whatever good I do are flaws.
[56:24]So therefore my flaws naturally will be flaws again.
[56:28]Not me.
[56:29]When I do something I want the whole world to know I'm
[56:33]the best person.
[56:31]No Muhammad.
[56:34]Im Hussein is teaching us.
[56:40]He said to ya Allah whose truth is nothing but claims.
[57:00]Why not his claims not to be false?
[57:08]You think you're truthful.
[57:12]Be humble.
[57:11]Allah be humble.
[57:14]You don't know yourself.
[57:15]I don't know myself.
[57:17]Every year we go through dua.
[57:20]Every year like parrots finish ticking the boxes.
[57:24]Hussein sat there in the mountain of Arafa to recite this Baba.
[57:29]He wanted to teach us.
[57:32]So in the first level it's now let's go number two.
[57:39]Im Hussein invite us self constructive criticism.
[57:44]Don't get confused.
[57:55]Imam said if you are really a true servant of Allah there
[58:02]must be moment in your life when you have this feeling of
[58:10]alienation loneliness I want you to think you see I'm going slowly
[58:15]think reflect he said there must be a moment and there are
[58:23]moments in our lives where you feel alienated, you feel lonely, your
[58:33]father cannot help, your mom cannot help, your wife cannot help, your
[58:40]sister cannot help.
[58:44]Guess which moment is that?
[58:47]Only the moment you commit sins against Allah, nobody can forgive you
[58:57]beside him.
[58:57]Said why you don't feel lonely?
[58:59]Why you don't think of this loneliness before you even indulge in
[59:04]any sin?
[59:05]Cuz the moment you commit, there's no I can't forgive you.
[59:11]But look at what he says in dua.
[59:16]That's the interest part of you know what said Allah to whom
[59:28]are you going to refer me?
[59:35]Are you going to refer me to him or her?
[59:37]But look at what I said.
[59:44]Ya Allah, with my sons, are you going to refer me to
[59:50]my relatives to cut me off when they get to know about
[59:53]my son?
[59:55]Baba, you can't forgive my son when I come to you.
[60:01]Yes, you may console me.
[60:02]And that's said [Music] Allah, are you referring me to a relative,
[60:12]to a family member who will easily cut me off when he
[60:18]gets to know about the baggage of my son?
[60:25]Allah, are you going to refer me to someone strange or a
[60:36]stranger who will what?
[60:35]scowl at me.
[60:40]Allah, are you going to refer me to someone weaker than me?
[60:46]They are weaker than me.
[60:51]They cannot forgive my sins.
[60:55]You are my Lord and in charge of my affairs.
[61:07]I complain to you Allah my loneliness.
[61:13]Ya Allah, I am alone on account of my sins.
[61:19]I need you Allah.
[61:19]That's what Abdah is saying.
[61:22]Today she abdah we try to justify sins.
[61:26]Anyhow, what is important?
[61:31]Be humble in front of a son.
[61:32]H said, "Ya Allah, I complain to you my loneliness and what
[61:42]the distance of my home.
[61:46]I complain to you." So on a second level, I imus want
[61:54]us to do self- constructive criticism by remembering there are moments in
[62:02]our lives when we feel marginalized and this is through marginalization cuz
[62:08]you have the sin.
[62:10]That's number two.
[62:12]Let's go to number three.
[62:17]Feeling of embarrassment.
[62:26]Embarrassment.
[62:28]Imm Hussein Alisam said there must be times in your life when
[62:35]you should be embarrassed.
[62:36]Yes.
[62:37]Yes.
[62:39]When do we become embarrassed mystically, spiritually?
[62:44]That is when we pay good with bad.
[62:52]So now before we go to our even would say Allah Allah
[63:02]Allah he said yeah Allah your good is always coming to us
[63:10]in return our evilness and sh coming to you.
[63:14]But now look at how Im Hussein demonstrate this in dua long
[63:21]lines but I'm just going to mention few at one point he
[63:29]began so many lies.
[63:44]He said, "Oh Allah, you are the one who strengthened me." Then
[63:50]he said, "Oh Allah, you are the one who bestowed your favors
[63:55]and blessing upon me.
[63:57]Ya Allah, you are the one who did good to me.
[64:04]And ya Allah, you were the one who favored me over over
[64:09]many of people." But then look at the line.
[64:13]Imam Hussein suddenly switched this when he expect us to have this
[64:17]feeling of embarrassment.
[64:26]I am the one who wronged.
[64:30]I am the one who made the mistakes.
[64:34]I am the one who committed the ignorance.
[64:38]Really brothers, we need to reflect this.
[64:41]Imam Hussein, excuse my word, it's not a joke.
[64:44]Imam Hussein is a big deal.
[64:48]It's allrounded.
[64:50]We need to work on our spirituality.
[64:53]Karbala is about spirituality.
[64:56]Connecting with Imam Hussein is connecting with Allah.
[65:01]But you know what?
[65:05]These last lines really pierces my hearts.
[65:20]We owe it to Albate.
[65:24]They did everything to make things easier for us.
[65:31]Well, I don't know to what extent do we appreciate Alan B.
[65:36]You know, he got to a point in dua where I im
[65:45]said with what should I look at you, oh my lord.
[66:00]I'm Do I face you Allah with my sense of hearing or
[66:12]with my sense of seeing or with my tongue or do I
[66:18]face you with my hand?
[66:20]Ya Allah or do I face you with my legs with my
[66:21]feet?
[66:22]But look at what he says.
[66:29]Are all these not your blessings and I use them to stand
[66:35]against you Allah?
[66:34]What else do you want?
[66:38]You know I'm not rushing.
[66:42]I want you to deeply reflect brothers and sisters.
[66:53]Are all not your blessings?
[66:57]Haven't I used all of them to sin?
[67:04]Then he will say, said, "Ya Allah, you are the one who
[67:12]covered my fault, my from my fathers and mothers.
[67:22]Otherwise, they would have scolded me.
[67:26][Music] And you Allah, you are the one who covered my fault
[67:34]from my entire families and my surveillance.
[67:37]Otherwise, they would have blamed and exposed me.
[67:46]Ya Allah, you are the one who covered my fault.
[67:48]Otherwise, the authorities would have finished me.
[67:51]How many wrongs we do and we hide?
[67:53]Can you imagine you walking out of this imam bar and mosque
[67:59]and all your IP flaws are exposed to the world.
[68:06]Think about it man.
[68:04]Sat is covering us.
[68:08]Think about it.
[68:11]If even our sons get to know some of the mistakes we
[68:15]make by just holding our phones.
[68:18]If my next brother sees the wrongs I'm making.
[68:22]This all Allah is making sat is covering us.
[68:27]Imam Hussein is saying you know at the end what he said
[68:33]and all these people realized and know what you know about me.
[68:40]They would have all rejected me.
[68:44]They would have all cut off from me.
[68:48]Allah is covering you habibi.
[68:52]Why do you find it difficult to worship God?
[68:55]Well, Allah is covering us is so merciful that you cannot comprehend
[69:05]the scope of Allah's mercy.
[69:08]Yes, you may have problems in your life.
[69:09]I may have problem in my life.
[69:12]But if I have to pause a little bit, I'll realize that
[69:15]Allah's blessings overpowered all the challenges I go through in my life.
[69:21]He covers me every day.
[69:24]This is im last point.
[69:35]Allah imus never played with his salat.
[69:48]Salat topmost priority.
[69:56]Are you here to cry for rightly so?
[70:02]Even on the eve of Ashura when the enemies were preparing themselves
[70:11]what was happening in the camp of Im Hussein.
[70:27]Ise and his beloved companions on the eve of they were arming
[70:37]themselves with worship whispering like did they fallen from history.
[70:45]Hence imus will look at say and will say oh my beloved
[70:54]sister z when you wake up at night to pray remember me
[70:58]in your dua z the mystical personality spirituality of Imam Hussein IM
[71:06]Hussein is highly spiritual how many times I give excuses but Imam
[71:13]Hussein ensured that salat was prayed on the 10th day of Muhar.
[71:18]When we recite of Ali Akbar, we cry.
[71:22]When we remember the of Akbar, we cry.
[71:26]But that should inform you the importance of salah.
[71:31]You know I and know very well.
[71:38]Salat empty something and it what?
[71:42]It adorns something.
[71:43]It empties you from s and it adorns you with God and
[71:50]spirituality and salat of carbala is on time is congregational and is
[71:57]public.
[72:05]This is Im Hussein.
[72:09]When Abu came to say on the 10th day of Muharam up
[72:20]realizing the enemies were making headways, he said to Im Hussein, "Oh
[72:23]my beloved master, I see the enemies making headways.
[72:29]Salat time is approaching.
[72:30]I would love to offer my salat behind you before I go."
[72:34]Im made dua for you all know it.
[72:41]Oh, you remembered salah.
[72:43]May your name be written on the list of those who remembered
[72:46]Allah in this your salat is crucial.
[72:49]You are not cry for saying when you are bankrupt in your
[72:52]salah when you have deficiency in your salah.
[72:56]It begins with your salah.
[72:56]Salat it has stages.
[72:59]One stage of the salah is the timing of the salah in
[73:01]it.
[73:02]One stage of the salah is the place of the salah.
[73:05]One stage of the is the format of the salah.
[73:08]Doing it congregationally is better.
[73:09]One stage of the salah is the spirit of the salah.
[73:11]Doing it with the presence of the heart.
[73:12]And the last stage of the salah is the impact of the
[73:17]salah.
[73:18]What's the impact of the salah 43 the salah?
[73:24]The of salah is to change your behavior.
[73:30]So celebrate and so carbala in conclusion has this mystical and spiritual
[73:41]dimension as we mourn as we cry we need to remember this
[73:50]and try if you have time not now this dua explore It
[74:02]tells you all about the spiritual level of Imam Hussein.
[74:10]But upon all these heritage and treasures left by Imam Hussein which
[74:18]is for the benefit of all.
[74:24]That did not stop them from slapping the cheek of Sukina.
[74:33]Imam Hussein tried everything.
[74:39]What is even so disturbing?
[74:46]The one who struck the neck of Imam Hussein, he was saying
[74:59]Allahbar, Allahbar, Allah.
[74:59]Can you imagine that?
[75:04]The one who pulled the beard of Im Hussein, he was saying
[75:12]Allah Akbar.
[75:14]Tonight is the night of one of those committed companion of say
[75:26]shada.
[75:27]Let's take our hearts to the sah to the courtyard of Kbala
[75:34]before we look at remember some other companions of Im Hussein.
[75:43]Narish tells us Wahab al-Kbi he went to Imam Hussein for permission.
[75:52]Imam granted him permission.
[75:56]While Wab was on his way to the battlefield, his wife began
[76:03]calling, "Wahab, come back.
[76:04]Wahab, come back.
[76:05]Wahab, come back." Wab did not tend to look at the wife.
[76:12]On a fourth level, wife called, "Wahab, go.
[76:16]Wahab, go.
[76:16]Wahab, go." Wahab stopped and then looked at his wife.
[76:22]Why?
[76:23]one point come back and suddenly Wabo you know what she said
[76:28]definitely I must say wab go because I see Sakina and Asgar
[76:34]and there is no one to support them but you know Wahab
[76:41]fought and fought when Wahab fell on the ground the wife of
[76:44]Wahab rushed to the body of Wahab when Shimmer saw the wife
[76:50]next to the body of Wahab He called the rostam.
[76:55]He said rostam go and finish off that lady.
[76:59]Rosam took his dagger and he began digging on the lady.
[77:10]It's a great companion.
[77:13]Likewise, another great companion of [Music] When they killed Zohari, you know
[77:25]what I said?
[77:26]May you all be raised on the day of Kyama as pigs.
[77:31]You know why?
[77:33]Because they motilated the body of Allahbar.
[77:41]And that is why Dam gave that piece of clothes to that
[77:49]servant.
[77:50]Go look around the bodies in Karbala.
[77:52]When you come across the body of my husband, recover the body
[77:58]and come back.
[77:58]He took the clo suddenly he came back holding the clo again.
[78:03]Dam asked him, "Haven't you come across the body of Zub?" He
[78:10]said, "Oh, I came across the body of Z.
[78:13]When I made attempt to cover Z, I saw there was nobody
[78:19]to support Hussein.
[78:22]Allahbar Hussein was a big fan as the sh was a big
[78:31]fan in Kabala." Now one of the greatest companion is is from
[78:42]the tribe of Ria.
[78:43]He was the chief army of this tribe.
[78:51]H is known as a top-notch warrior of Kufa.
[78:53]But you know what?
[78:55]Hor has a beautiful heart.
[78:57]Hormet Hussein as per traditions a week before Kbala and Hur was
[79:05]given a straight instruction.
[79:07]Get allegiance from Hussein and then come back without allegiance.
[79:14]Block Hussein from anything.
[79:15]When met Hussein the horses of were thirsty looked at Im Hussein.
[79:26]Look at the the beautiful heart of Imam Hussein.
[79:30]He said to him, "Please can you give us water for our
[79:35]horses?" Imam Hussein gave water to the horses of hor.
[79:37]But they denied asaru water.
[79:43]They denied sakina water.
[79:47]It was then salat time.
[79:51]Hur looked at Im Hussein.
[79:54]He said, "Can you lead us in salah?" Im said, "No, who
[79:56]will you lead?" Then said, "No, I cannot lead the son of
[80:04]Fatim Zah." Allah Akbar.
[80:05]But here comes the moment when I im Hussein wanted to head
[80:13]towards Kufa.
[80:11]Hur blocked Im Hussein.
[80:15]When Imam Hussein wanted to have water, Hur blocked Imam Hussein from
[80:21]having the water.
[80:20]Im looked at he said may your mother have lost you if
[80:27]I do not know your mom I would have cursed your mom
[80:30]said you know I've been given instruction is to take allegiance from
[80:34]you or not allow you to take any step now on the
[80:44]10th day of muharam was sitting between Omar and Shimra Allah abar
[80:51]Then overhead saying first first sudden overhead Imam Hussein calling.
[81:07]Is there any helper to help me?
[81:13]Or while sitting between and he asked them what is going to
[81:21]happen today?
[81:19]Three things change.
[81:22]Sham and Omar looked at and they said to him, "Today heads
[81:30]will be chopped off.
[81:32]Today necks will fly and hands will be cut off." Wallah.
[81:41]They cut off the hands of Abbas and they cut off the
[81:51]neck of Hussein.
[81:49]They targeted the conjur of Hussein.
[81:54]You know number two that convinced you know on the 10th day
[82:01]of Muaram Imam Hussein camp set fire in front of the camp.
[82:04]Omar Nosad and Shimmer upon seeing the fire they called out, "Oh,
[82:10]Hussein is preparing for his fire of hell." Allah realize now this
[82:21]is serious.
[82:21]Third reason realized that Omar were concerned about the thirst of his
[82:29]horses but he was not concerned about the test of Ali Asgaru
[82:37]asked them why are you giving your horses water when the sons
[82:42]and daughters of Zahara are thirsty guess what was the response they
[82:49]said to we want to see Hussein being broken And so called
[82:53]his son by the name Ali and his brother by the name
[82:58]of Mas Aba.
[82:57]And Hur said to his servant, "I want you to take a
[83:01]clo and cover my face.
[83:05]Come, let us go to Hussein." Hur then began to walk to
[83:09]Abi Abdah.
[83:08]They saw coming.
[83:11]Abdul Abbas stood up and he began walking towards and he said
[83:16]to Im Hussein is coming let me go and attack and deal
[83:24]with aboved let us wait and see what is he coming with
[83:29]they waited came not looked at the v of Im Hussein he
[83:35]said to Hussein Oh, Hussein, will I be forgiven?
[83:44]Hussein said, "Yes, Lord, you are forgiven." Or then of course went
[83:52]to the battlefield.
[83:51]He fought and fought the enemies obviously came and they slaughtered like
[84:01]animal and Hussein would come to the body of say You are
[84:10]indeed a free person the way your mom named you free.
[84:27]Y'all can see him.
[84:29]Y'all can see him.

[117:27]Uh but before that, I'm sure you've all noticed that we have
[117:29]had two new air conditioning units installed at the front of the
[117:32]uh Jensen ladies halls.
[117:33]Kindly join me in reciting a sur fatya for the mum parents
[117:38]of the donor's family.
[117:38]Ala Uh ladies and gentlemen, oh quick quick quick quick announcement.
[117:53]Um during these nights in the months of Muharam and Safar and
[117:55]also in the month of Ramadan, we have noticed that people um
[117:58]leave uh books um randomly in the mosque bring back bags of
[118:03]copies of Quran or dua books.
[118:04]Uh we'd ask you to please refrain from bringing these books and
[118:07]leaving them at the mosque.
