[1:01]loud salawat for Muhammad and Al Muhammad respected brothers and sisters we

[1:14]discussed the last few nights the different sicknesses and diseases that may

[1:22]afflict that may afflict us human beings we said there are physical

[1:28]and mental diseases viruses and sicknesses and what's worse are the spiritual

[1:35]diseases the diseases and the viruses and the illnesses that afflict our

[1:41]heart our soul because as I mentioned the physical diseases the worst

[1:48]that they can do to you is that they will end your

[1:53]dunia and dun is called dun because it's such a low and

[2:04]worthless Place dun stems from the word Den Allah subhah wa tal

[2:09]calls it dun because it's so worthless has no value and that's

[2:12]why Allah Asel gives the dun to disbelievers and he will deny

[2:19]it from Believers yazid is on the throne when Imam Hussein's body

[2:23]is on the floor this shows you that this D is worthless

[2:27]in the eyes of Allah if it had any value he would

[2:31]not allow that to happen you find people are suffering and being

[2:34]massacred innocent people in Gaza and the criminals are safe and secure

[2:41]if this duny had any worth in the eyes of Allah subhah

[2:47]wa ta'ala Allah would not allow that it's a place to be

[2:51]tested and we leave quickly so the worst thing that the sickness

[2:55]can do to you is you'll leave sooner you'll leave this worthless

[3:00]life sooner so sometimes as I mentioned it could be a blessing

[3:05]from Allah subhana wa taala that you are able to be purified

[3:08]and finish your test and leave and go to the Hereafter sooner

[3:16]than everyone else Muhammad Muhammad alayum but as we said the disease

[3:36]of the heart the disease of the spirit of the Soul can

[3:40]ruin your and we mentioned certain diseases that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

[3:46]that he mentions in the Holy Quran like hypocrisy we spoke about

[3:52]the disease of not being able to control your desires your intimate

[3:57]desires we spoke about the disase of losing your moral compass not

[4:05]understanding the difference between what's right and wrong and we mentioned one

[4:12]of the worst of these diseases when our hearts Harden we spoke

[4:17]about that and the consequences and the symptoms of each of these

[4:25]spiritual diseases now the important question is what is the cure if

[4:29]I am Afflicted with a spiritual disease I find an illness in

[4:36]my heart where do I go to we don't go to Conventional

[4:39]doctors brothers and sisters because these types of diseases and illnesses have

[4:49]a different doctor they have a different realm that we have to

[4:57]go to and one of the greatest sources of shifa of cure

[5:01]and treatment from these spiritual diseases is the Holy Quran Allah says

[5:06]that in the Holy Quran Allah says when he revealed the Quran

[5:16]oh people not oh Believers the Quran was sent to everyone oh

[5:22]people Allah has sent you this beautiful book that is filled with

[5:28]means what examples advice admonition it's teaching us lessons so that we

[5:37]do not fall into these problems so that we can prevent ourselves

[5:43]from sinking deeper into the illnesses and diseases of this dun and

[5:48]then the Quran says the Quran contains cure treatment for your hearts

[6:00]but for what type of disease not necessarily even yes sometimes physical

[6:07]diseases but Allah subhana wa ta'ala is speaking about the spiritual diseases

[6:11]where do you look for you look in the Quran every spiritual

[6:15]disease every Vice that we human beings face Allah subhanahu wa taala

[6:23]has a cure in the Holy Quran for it the Holy Quran

[6:25]is a very powerful book every verse of the Quran has the

[6:32]potential to change your life every problem that you have in life

[6:36]spiritual problem every problem that we have that contains and pertains to

[6:42]our to our Soul and Spirit Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has a

[6:49]cure for it in the Quran you just have to open your

[6:52]heart to the Quran you know in the month of Ramadan Ramadan

[6:56]is called Quran the spring of the Quran meaning it's the time

[7:01]when we should take advantage of the Quran it's when the Quran

[7:06]blossoms but one habit that many of us do is we just

[7:11]read the Quran just read it for bar we read and read

[7:14]and read and we're just trying to finish a every day that's

[7:17]if we're lucky we're able to finish a Jah every day that

[7:23]in itself is good reciting the Quran reading it in itself has

[7:27]an effect on your spirit and soul but the but the the

[7:33]treatment and the Cure from the Quran comes when you Ponder upon

[7:37]the Quran when you contemplate on the meanings of the Quran if

[7:41]you just open your mind and your heart to the Quran one

[7:46]verse brothers and sisters one verse can completely change your life there's

[7:50]a famous story it's mentioned I'm sure you've heard of it of

[7:53]a man by the name of who used to be a bandit

[7:58]a thief and he would rob houses at night he would steal

[8:05]people's possessions he would put these checkpoints all over the the the

[8:09]roads this is during the time of IM and he was Notorious

[8:18]for being abandoned everyone was afraid from him they say one day

[8:23]while he was trying to rob a house he was climbing the

[8:28]house there was someone inside the house that was re citing Quran

[8:31]this man had heard the Quran so many times but how many

[8:37]times did he listen did he open up his heart to the

[8:39]Quran you see brothers and sisters many times it just takes one

[8:46]verse for it to penetrate your heart and I know many times

[8:52]our hearts may be completely completely contaminated with sins but there could

[9:00]be one small very small hole opening that the Quran can penetrate

[9:04]through and this is how it was for this man you see

[9:10]some individuals their life is all evil and Corruption and sin and

[9:13]disbelief but in the end they're able to turn to Allah subhanahu

[9:18]wa ta'ala why because there was some some there was a Beacon

[9:21]of Hope there was a very small opening in their hearts that

[9:27]the Quran finally managed to penetrate through that so do not underestimate

[9:32]brothers and sisters the power of the Quran who would have ever

[9:36]thought he would have repented on the day of with all of

[9:39]the sins and all of the devious life that he had that

[9:44]means there was some glimmer of hope remaining in his heart that

[9:47]Quran or sometimes it is the walking speaking Quran which is IM

[9:52]Hussein who was able to pierce the heart of Al and that's

[10:00]why he completely changed so he's going to rob the house all

[10:03]of a sudden he hears this verse Allah says in the Holy

[10:18]Quran isn't it time for those who believe or at least claim

[10:21]that they believe isn't it time for their hearts to submit to

[10:27]Allah Asel isn't it time for them to let go of the

[10:30]Dunya and hold on to Allah subhah wa ta'ala how much time

[10:33]has Allah subhana wa tala given us brothers and sisters as soon

[10:38]as he heard this verse it's as if he had heard it

[10:40]for the first time it struck him it pierced his heart he

[10:45]looked down and he said you know what it's time until when

[10:47]until when am I going to continue in my transgression it's time

[10:53]if you don't put a deadline your deadline will be death that's

[10:59]the only time that you will stop but it's too late so

[11:05]make sure that you decide when you want to change before Allah

[11:09]subhanahu wa ta'ala takes the time away from you so they say

[11:14]he came down and he felt so bad regret this is how

[11:19]Toba begins he felt terrible for all of the crimes that he

[11:24]had done for being so far from Allah subhana wa tala and

[11:26]he completely changed he transformed his life he became to a worshipper

[11:30]and he eventually became a student of IM he narrates from IM

[11:38]he became amongst the most Pious individuals of his time all it

[11:42]took was one verse to cure his heart to remove that disease

[11:48]of the heart but you just have to open your heart widely

[11:51]and Ponder upon the verses of the Quran in one of the

[12:01]sermons of speaks about one of the roles of and how he

[12:04]used to cure people from disease you know the prophet was a

[12:12]doctor the prophet sallallah alai was used to cure people used to

[12:15]treat them but from spiritual diseases diseases of the heart illnesses of

[12:23]the heart he says about he was a what is aib doctor

[12:32]right there are doctors that treat physical illnesses there are doctors that

[12:37]treat mental illnesses psychological there are doctors that treat your spiritual illnesses

[12:42]that we spoke about the hardening of the heart be feeling empty

[12:46]inside and void because of that disconnection from Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

[12:52]hypocrisy and so on and so forth but you know what's the

[12:59]difference between the prophet and other doctors the prophet the Imam says

[13:04]was a doctor that would attend to the patients sometimes people would

[13:09]go to the prophet and they would ask him for help and

[13:14]he would give them the admonition the guidance and they would be

[13:20]guided and that disease and that sickness from the heart would be

[13:24]flushed out other times the prophet would go and visit people in

[13:27]their house he goes to you if you can't come to him

[13:35]if you don't come to him he will come to you we

[13:36]have so many examples of this and other prophets how they used

[13:42]to go to people so that they would guide them so that

[13:44]they would bring them that cure from the diseases of their heart

[13:53]he sees where is there a need who in the community is

[14:00]suffering from a disease because one problem brothers and sisters is many

[14:05]people who suffer from spiritual diseases they don't even know it they

[14:11]don't know it it's like cancer cancer one reason why it's so

[14:17]dangerous is because it will destroy your body from within without even

[14:23]you knowing you'll be at stage one if you're at stage one

[14:25]cancer and you know you have St stage one cancer it's so

[14:31]easy or it's much easier to treat it but what's the problem

[14:36]it quietly it quietly does the damage inside you and you have

[14:43]no idea until it escalates and evolves into stage two stage three

[14:47]many people they find out stage three stage four you go to

[14:52]the doctor or some pain triggers it and only then you find

[14:55]out that it's too late only had you knew earlier there was

[14:58]a cure and treatment the prophet Sall he knows who in the

[15:06]community has these spiritual diseases because there are symptoms because the prophet

[15:10]can see through his Bas as we'll speak about not just through

[15:16]and thus he would go to certain individuals and he would bring

[15:23]them the Cure sometimes just a word of advice from rasool Allah

[15:27]just a gathering with rasool Allah would completely flush out and exterminate

[15:33]that illness from the individual's heart and this is how brothers and

[15:39]sisters as Believers when you see someone that is aching when you

[15:43]see someone that is Afflicted with a disease they may not know

[15:50]it it's our responsibility to bring it to that person's attention to

[15:54]help that individual I see someone that they have certain vices someone

[15:59]who is AR an narcissist someone who has Envy in their hearts

[16:03]animosity greed stinginess all of these are diseases and vices of the

[16:08]heart hypocrisy and all the other different ones I said A True

[16:15]Believer is one that would go and attend to that person you

[16:18]go to that person and you try to help them obviously you

[16:22]have to do it in a diplomatic smart way so you don't

[16:25]make them feel humiliated or you make make them feel embarrassed and

[16:32]obviously you have to have some level of experience and knowledge in

[16:36]order to help those individuals that need help but they don't even

[16:41]know that they need help so he says who are the patients

[16:49]of he says those people that are blind but not their eyes

[16:59]are blind their hearts are blind the Quran says so many people

[17:07]who are blind are not physically blind they are spiritually blind because

[17:12]their heart is contaminated there's a layer of contamination of sins that

[17:21]is preventing them from seeing the truth or accepting the truth so

[17:26]he would look for those individuals and he would go to Tru

[17:36]them and individuals who had deaf ears but not physical ears the

[17:42]ears of the of the heart and individuals who also could not

[17:50]speak not because they were as they you know as they say

[17:53]dumb or they were handicapped and they couldn't speak it's because they

[18:00]could not not speak the truth they could not speak the name

[18:03]of Allah subhanahu wa taala this person Allah subhana tala considers this

[18:07]individual just like the one who cannot speak who has a type

[18:13]of speech impairment so he was the source of the Cure was

[18:24]the source of that cure and they used to use the Quran

[18:31]and the teachings of the Quran to cure those individuals that had

[18:34]these diseases in their heart there's a famous story a beautiful story

[18:41]that Abu D narrates Abu D was one of the companions of

[18:50]ab D says one day after IM aliam was killed I was

[18:57]sitting in the Masjid of rasool it was some of the sah

[19:03]and some of the the second generation after the sahab so he

[19:06]says a discussion started regarding the companions of rasool which one was

[19:11]the greatest and then each one of them would remember and mention

[19:17]one of the virtues of one of the sahabah he says until

[19:19]it was my turn Abu D was loyal to Imam Ali he

[19:26]says when it was my turn I told told them let me

[19:32]tell you who I believe was the most Pious of the companions

[19:38]of rasool the individual that feared Allah the most and the one

[19:45]that detested the duny the most the individual that had the least

[19:49]amount of money but the most amount of piety God Consciousness the

[19:55]individual who worshiped Allah like no one other so they all asked

[20:00]him who is it who are you talking about he says as

[20:04]soon as I mention listen carefully as soon as I mention the

[20:08]name of IM I said he said as if a bomb was

[20:15]exploded he says everyone in that Magus they frowned at me and

[20:22]these were Companions of and they all looked at me as if

[20:28]what am I talking what's this nonsense a few years after the

[20:33]prophet a few decades and a few years after is killed some

[20:39]of the and the they cannot even stand the name of such

[20:46]that when someone wants to mention a virtue of IM Ali they're

[20:52]upset they see this person as if he's delusional and this is

[20:56]one of the of the by the way one of the sicknesses

[21:02]of the heart is that envy that some people had towards Al

[21:05]that hatred that they had for IM this is a sickness it's

[21:10]a disorder why would you hate Al it's exactly someone like we

[21:14]mentioned it's exactly someone who hates health or hates anything that is

[21:22]good for them you know there are some diseases I was reading

[21:25]about some disorders they're called self-defeating disease dises where people love failure

[21:32]there's some people they are afflicted with some psychological disorders their brain

[21:39]is malfunctioning so what happens their goal is to fail in life

[21:45]they love creating problems in the community they love it it's not

[21:48]like oh I did a mistake no when they go and sleep

[21:52]at night knowing they made a F they have achieved their goal

[21:57]there's a lot of people unfortunately with this type of disorder they

[22:01]don't want anything that is good not just for people but even

[22:06]for themselves even for themselves they live a miserable life because they

[22:11]have animosity against someone because they have competition with someone rivalry they

[22:15]will make their lives miserable just to make that person's life miserable

[22:20]there's a lot of people like that unfortunately so this was a

[22:27]disease that was in the hearts of some some individuals so Abu

[22:30]he says I told them wait give me a chance give me

[22:35]an opportunity let me explain through stories I'll tell you what I

[22:39]saw with my own eyes let me tell you some of the

[22:45]stories of alali so you understand the greatness and the piety of

[22:49]this man and then he told them a story very famous story

[22:53]he said one day IM aliam at night he left the city

[23:00]of Medina and there was all these Farm areas he says he

[23:03]went in a farm area he was going alone I was following

[23:08]him to see what Ali is doing in the middle of the

[23:11]night he says he went in the middle of the woods in

[23:13]the middle of the of the farms and all of a sudden

[23:20]I saw him he disappeared between the trees and I was trying

[23:24]to I was trying to hide so he doesn't know that I'm

[23:28]there just because I want to see what what is what is

[23:30]he going to do here he says all of a sudden I

[23:36]couldn't see Ali because too many trees and bushes all of a

[23:38]sudden he says I began to hear beautiful from IM when the

[23:46]Imam made sure he's alone why wouldn't he do it in his

[23:51]house why wouldn't he go do it in the Masjid he wanted

[23:52]to do it all alone between him and Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

[23:57]and there is nothing brothers and sisters sisters that has an effect

[24:03]on your soul that revives your heart that purifies your heart that

[24:08]softens your heart the heart that has been Afflicted with like Solitude

[24:14]when you're all alone speaking to Allah subhanahu wa taala there is

[24:18]nothing like that and we even have Traditions from the imams of

[24:29]that speak about that there's a Hadith from IM where he mentions

[24:38]a conversation between M the prophet and Allah Allah says in the

[24:45]Hadith not truthful not truthful is the one who claims that they

[24:56]love me I love Allah this is what we all claim right

[25:00]but when night falls when it's night time especially late at night

[25:06]they go to their bed and sleep doesn't every lover want to

[25:14]spend more time with the ones they love don't they want that

[25:17]private time with the ones that they love when everybody else is

[25:20]sleeping and I'm all alone this is when I can have that

[25:25]quality one-on-one time with the individual that I really love Allah subhah

[25:29]wa tala says that time is midnight when the lights are off

[25:32]when nobody's there your phone isn't ringing there aren't any distractions turn

[25:39]to me and conversate with me if you really love me I

[25:44]go and sleep right away and Allah is just waiting for me

[25:47]is that true love Allah subhana wa tala feels abandoned because during

[25:51]the day I say I love Allah I love him more than

[25:55]anything okay so Allah says I'll wait for you at night to

[26:01]come and supplicate to me read some Dua some even if it's

[26:06]not all of recite two pray two of you don't have to

[26:12]pray just pray one take you one minute you don't even have

[26:15]to do all the recommended acts the 300 times the Dua for

[26:20]40 Believers 70 you don't have to do all of that just

[26:22]one in the middle of the night has a profound impact on

[26:29]your heart the no that it brings to your heart is remarkable

[26:36]so the IMs of they would tell us if you find yourself

[26:42]struggling with these diseases if you find yourself that you are not

[26:49]enjoying you come to it's boring you come to Du everything is

[26:54]boring one cure is just find five minutes do this brothers and

[27:04]sisters just do this once five minutes when everybody's sleeping when your

[27:11]phone is off go in an isolated Place yeah a room by

[27:14]yourself turn off the TV your notifications disconnect from the world and

[27:23]just pray two to Allah while it's dim you know those romantic

[27:33]dinners that we have create that romantic atmosphere where it's very dim

[27:37]there's no distractions and speak to Allah subhah wa ta'ala read five

[27:42]lines of Dua Abu Hamza wall brothers and sisters you will feel

[27:49]the shifa coming down from Allah the heel the treatment the healing

[27:56]coming inside your heart there's nothing like it and you will not

[28:00]understand it until you try it you know they say this is

[28:05]a famous story I've mentioned that before there was in the city

[28:08]of esfahan a couple of centuries ago there was a princess by

[28:11]the name of goharshad very beautiful she wasn't married young there was

[28:18]a young man who fell in love with her he saw her

[28:23]one day in the street when she was being escorted by the

[28:28]the the royal uh the Royal Guards he saw her and he

[28:32]fell in love with her and then he was depressed didn't want

[28:37]to eat didn't want to do anything his mother would ask him

[28:39]what's going on I'm in love with this girl his mother would

[28:43]say you left all girls you had to fall in love with

[28:49]this princess cuz there's absolutely no chance come on who are you

[28:52]you're just a random guy and she's the princess and you really

[28:58]think that it's possible and he would say well 50% of the

[29:04]problem is solved because I have to accept and she has to

[29:06]accept well I accept we just have the other 50% left right

[29:09]that's how some people see AB when they're not thinking logically so

[29:14]he was so depressed and distressed and wouldn't eat until his mother

[29:21]one day she had a friend who had access to the princess

[30:22]what is it tell him to pray for 40 nights let him

[30:27]come to the Masjid there's someone who takes attendance there right so

[30:32]we don't just claim we prayed take attendance 40 nights if he's

[30:39]there I'll consider I I will seriously consider marrying him the mother

[30:52]he couldn't move he jumped out of his bed you know how

[30:54]we're so lazy when it comes to Salah and it's such a

[31:08]man now he went with utmost motivation he was so excited to

[31:13]go do what pray Sal late but because he was missing Allah

[31:19]no because he was in love with that lady and this was

[31:28]Sal he probably Googled if they had Google what is the best

[31:32]way to pray Sal he became an expert in all the laws

[31:37]of why because it's a show the guy that takes attendance I

[31:44]wish we can that act that we do brothers and sisters how

[31:50]we show off I wish if we can only do that in

[31:51]front of Allah why don't we ever think about showing off in

[31:57]front of Allah yeah just show off Ya Allah look at me

[32:03]I'm doing this Allah subhana tala will accept youred that's not the

[32:07]best way the best intention that I'm praying in front of Allah

[32:09]to show off in front of him but at least it's way

[32:13]better than showing off in front of other people what are people

[32:15]going to give you nothing a compliment what's that compliment going to

[32:20]do is it such a big deal and it will prevent and

[32:23]deny you from the real theab so he would go he would

[32:28]pray such a beautiful Sal one day two days until the 40

[32:30]days finished 40 days finished she receives the report oh this guy

[32:36]finished as probably was more than one this was a system that

[32:39]she had but the guy never showed up after four days he

[32:42]was supposed to come and he would have the honor to sit

[32:47]down with the princess and they could discuss it he never showed

[32:50]up she waited a couple of days he's not there so that

[32:53]intermediary she told her go and see what happened to this guy

[32:57]why didn't he show up is he okay so she asked the

[33:02]mother the mother went to her son did you pray Sal did

[33:08]you do the condition fulfill it yes I prayed Salah 40 nights

[33:10]what's wrong why didn't you go meet her you were dying for

[33:15]her you're in love with her he told his mother to tell

[33:19]that intermediary that messenger go tell go harad that before I began

[33:24]praying I was in love with you because I never knew my

[33:29]Lord Allah after these 40 nights of I discovered my true love

[33:34]Allah I'm not interested in her anymore it started with a incorrect

[33:41]intention I'm doing it just because I want to please this girl

[33:47]but eventually the N starts to build up the effect the Cure

[33:51]the treatment starts to what take effect remember when you take medicine

[33:55]once twice three it may not have its full impact but after

[34:00]a while Subhan Allah he started to taste the pleasure of conversating

[34:05]and supplicating to Allah subhanahu waala so there is nothing that will

[34:12]give you that spiritual boost like Sal like a few minutes of

[34:16]solitude only minutes brothers and sisters doesn't even have to be more

[34:22]try it and W you will see how this will change your

[34:24]life sit down all by yourself and speak to Allah whatever is

[34:27]is in your heart complain to Allah subhah wa tala ask him

[34:33]for whatever you want thank him for all the that he's been

[34:35]given and this will have a great impact on your on your

[34:40]soul so this is one of the ways that we can cure

[34:47]the heartedness of our hearts brothers and sisters another way that the

[34:57]the Quran tell us that will make make your soft will you

[35:01]will make your heart soft and cure the spiritual diseases in your

[35:05]heart is to always always repent to Allah subhanahu waala do not

[35:15]let a week pass by without you repenting to Allah many of

[35:22]us what do we do our strategy is we consolidate we wait

[35:29]and delay and we usually repent once a year twice a year

[35:33]if we're lucky three times a year so there's three months left

[35:39]before Ramadan the month of Ramadan I'm committing all these sins Shah

[35:44]I'll repent because it's the greatest night out of the year and

[35:48]it makes sense right so this is what we do or when

[35:52]I go to inshallah I'll repent repent or Shan or whatever we

[35:56]put all these dates for our repentance you see the problem brothers

[36:04]and sisters with this attitude and mentality is first of all how

[36:12]do you know you will live until the next I know people

[36:20]that were with us last but now they are buried not six

[36:23]feet under now it's more like 60 feet under I know individuals

[36:29]who said I will go to Hajj inshallah but they were not

[36:35]able to go to Hajj because Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala had other

[36:39]plans for them the plan of Allah was that they depart this

[36:42]world how do you know when comes you will have the courage

[36:51]to repent to Allah because the more you sin the more difficult

[36:58]it becomes for you to repent to Allah it's like debt why

[37:03]did they tell you don't let debt keep growing and growing and

[37:07]accumulating because the more the debt is the more difficult it is

[37:15]for you to get out of debt but if every $500 you

[37:17]put a lot th000 this is when I get rid of my

[37:21]debt it's much easier versus you pile it pile $50,000 at the

[37:25]end of the year it's going to be very hard to come

[37:27]out of that debt and that's why let every week brothers and

[38:36]be wiped off the Imam says if you forget to repent what

[38:42]happens you'll say I'll repent insh and you're nine months away and

[38:46]every day I'm what I'm doing 20 30 40 sins he says

[38:51]the dots will start to increase and increase and increase until the

[38:56]Imam says your entire heart heart will become stained and contaminated with

[39:03]the impurity with the Blackness of your sin the Imam says once

[39:46]feel bad about what they did and promise Allah to never do

[39:50]it again and say I'm sorry that's the easiest that's the easiest

[39:53]way that's the easiest thing for us to do but yet sometimes

[39:59]it is heavier than mountains on our hearts why because those sins

[40:02]that have comp that have contaminated our hearts they do not allow

[40:08]us so Allah is waiting but I can't go to him because

[40:11]these sins are burden are burdening they're too heavy I can't take

[40:17]that one step to Allah subhanahu waala so the Imam says do

[40:22]not let the sins pile up because if you go go on

[42:28]active in a Youth Organization they want to come and listen to

[42:31]the light but they never come what because when I come I

[42:34]feel like I'm being judged do you think that this is a

[42:42]valid excuse I'm not saying it's easy yes sometimes unfortunately people who

[42:48]Proclaim to be religious they are very judgmental and they will look

[42:56]at individuals who don't show up too much who may come with

[42:59]a very weird haircut or they may come wearing certain clothing that

[43:03]is not very conventional and appropriate right away they may be stigmatized

[43:07]they may be looked at differently I get it it's difficult but

[43:12]that difficulty should not be an excuse for you to give up

[43:17]if I want to give up every time people make me feel

[43:20]uncomfortable if I want to give up and surrender every time that

[43:26]people are judgmental then I will go nowhere I won't succeed in

[43:31]anything in life if you want to succeed in this life in

[43:36]anything in business in your career sometimes you have to be thick

[43:40]skinned sometimes as long as you know you're doing the right thing

[43:45]you have to not care too much about what other people who

[43:47]cares what these people are saying about me so what if Allah

[43:52]is happy with me if I'm pleasing Allah why do I give

[43:58]so much import importance to what people think why Allah should matter

[44:04]to me so some individuals have that good intention but it's difficult

[44:11]for them when we find ourselves brothers and sisters we're stuck we

[44:15]have a good intention but I just cannot do it keep on

[44:20]delaying it sometimes it's because of the sins sometimes it's because of

[44:28]my delinquency in theat towards Allah you see IM speaks about this

[44:34]in Dua so beautiful he says Ya Allah why is it that

[44:53]every time I say tonight I'm going to pray try this every

[44:55]night you're up to until fer and you're you're not sleepy and

[45:04]you're active as a bat at night right and you have so

[45:06]much energy but tonight say I'm going to pray Sal as soon

[45:11]as you say you start yawning and you're so sleepy what the

[45:18]heck's wrong with me usually I'm up three four hours more the

[46:00]to do Dua or pray to Allah subhah wa ta'ala or when

[46:04]I'm listening to the lecture all a sudden I doze off like

[46:17]enabled you to receive I because you're sleep in the month of

[46:20]Ramadan is so for those that came here with the intention of

[46:25]you know what I can hit two birds with one Stone either

[46:31]will be counted as good for you and when I want to

[46:38]speak to you I just something comes up I I just can't

[46:40]do it the IM and then he mentions this every time I

[46:49]say this year this time I'm going to repent I'm going to

[47:28]happen they're not evil it's just like there's a barrier the Imam

[47:32]says it's as if there's a barrier there's something preventing me and

[47:43]he says the IM says maybe it is because Allah saw that

[48:15]him this is the worst punishment from Allah the worst punishment that

[48:35]Allah subhana wa tala he places barriers so that you don't come

[48:38]to him why because Allah sees that you have overdone it he

[48:45]loses hope in me the Imam says maybe it's because Ya Allah

[48:49]you saw my audacity that every day I'm committing all these sins

[48:56]without any shame [Music] the IM says Ya Allah maybe it's because

[49:25]of my lack of Shame and my Brazen way in which I

[49:31]commit my sins without any and shame this is why you don't

[49:36]want me to come to you this is why you're keeping me

[49:39]distant away from you allahar maybe because you find that I am

[49:44]so incompassion ungrateful to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala so the point that

[49:51]the Imam is making sometimes it's because of our own sins that

[49:59]prevent me from the Beauty and the pleasure of being with Allah

[50:03]subhanahu wa ta'ala do not take sins lightly and if I do

[50:08]commit a sin quickly brothers and sisters fix it quickly do a

[50:13]Toba don't say Ramadan don't say don't say these are excuses because

[50:17]remember the more it piles up the more difficult it will be

[50:21]for you to connect with Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and the more

[50:26]you will find yourself disconnected from Allah reading one page of the

[50:31]Quran will be tortured don't let yourself reach that level because sometimes

[50:37]it'll be too late but you just can't find it within you

[50:41]to open the Quran you see writers block how they have it

[50:46]you'll have a Quran reader block you just can't read I read

[50:50]two verses Y how many minutes have I been reading 26 seconds

[50:52]what I thought it was like 15 minutes this is this is

[50:58]when the hard hearten soften it brothers and sisters through Toba asking

[51:02]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to forgive you and there is I'll end

[51:16]from Al IM from alaih wasam where in this Hadith the IM

[51:20]says or the prophet says that there are things there are acts

[51:32]meaning it will make it difficult for you to turn to Allah

[51:37]the Imam says or the prophet says he mentions a few of

[51:41]them you know what one of them is Subhan Allah you may

[51:46]be surprised he says when it's mentioned in the Quran the imams

[51:53]would interpret it as what listening to music and singing if I

[52:00]am listening to music and singing the whole day and then I

[52:06]just want to randomly come and think my heart is going to

[52:11]open to Allah and the new will start coming down in megawatts

[52:14]in my heart you are watching too many Hollywood Videos brothers and

[52:19]sisters because you've done too much damage by listening to music this

[52:24]is what the prophet says listening to music music don't think that

[53:11]to Pure our hearts the month of Ramadan is the month of

[53:18]Quran do not just recite the Quran but try to ponder upon

[53:24]the Quran every day make it a habit it's just 30 days

[53:33]and sisters that can change your life just like it did with

[53:36]so many people from the times of the imams and contemporary stories

[53:39]where I've heard people they become Muslims they will abandon their religion

[53:44]they'll abandon their family and they will believe in Allah and Islam

[53:48]because they heard one verse but they what they listen they open

[53:54]their hearts to it may Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala open all your hearts

[53:57]to his new to his wisdom to his words may Allah subhanahu

[54:02]wa ta'ala accept all your and may Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala forgive

[54:06]us of all our sins and purify our hearts and give us

[54:10]the to and the ability that we can inshallah have the willpower
