[40:25]of rajab date 27th of rajab is one which has great significance
[40:30]one which deserves great which is brought about with great of nama
[40:35]and blessings from allah and one which deserves great celebration this is
[40:42]a debt which is not only highlighted within our shia calendar but
[40:49]also for the majority sunni brother when we talk about the 27th
[40:57]day of rajab the thought which immediately comes to our mind is
[41:00]with regards to maharaja israel which is the event of the nightly
[41:07]journey of the beloved prophet muhammad mustafa sallallahu allahu allahu al-salem and
[41:13]thereafter the ascension to the elevated heights to the seven heavens now
[41:19]this is one which is commonly associated with the 27th day or
[41:27]the date of rajab no doubt israel will make is indeed an
[41:30]important occasion and which is an important event which is also been
[41:36]mentioned several times in the holy quran and the most famous ayah
[41:42]which talks about israel maharaja is in suratul israel subhanallah glory be
[41:54]to him the one who made his his servant travel or go
[42:00]by night from masjid al-haram and then the ayah continues the purpose
[42:05]of this travel liunira who means so that we are able to
[42:14]show to him our signs as an event by itself is one
[42:19]which no doubt is an indisputable event in the lifetime of the
[42:25]prophet and we find that in the records of our traditions and
[42:30]our books allama majilisi records that the event of maharaja did not
[42:34]take pick once rather it took place on several occasions and there
[42:40]are narrations which state that the maximum times of this nightly journey
[42:46]of the prophet the journey of ascension to the heavens maharaja took
[42:51]place not more than 120 journeys in that time of the lifetime
[42:57]of the prophet now we find that there is a great emphasis
[43:02]being given to the 27th night of rajab as the night of
[43:09]maharaja whilst having said that no doubt the 27th rajab is also
[43:13]associated with the event of maharaja however the 27th of rajab has
[43:20]another event which is of greater significance in the sense that this
[43:25]event is specified on this specific date of the 27th rajab unlike
[43:31]the event of maharaja there has not been any specific debt to
[43:37]specify for those various events of maharaja or the journey of the
[43:41]prophet and there is greater likelihood of odama mentioned that this event
[43:48]of mirage the dead could be more specific with the month of
[43:53]ramadan however the sunni brother mostly celebrate with the 27th rajab to
[43:57]be more of the maharaja and there is very little or no
[44:02]mention being mentioned about the event which is the event of mahabras
[44:06]so according to our ulama and the various hadiths and traditions from
[44:13]the muslim we find that the 27th of rajab is one which
[44:17]has been given more recording and linking with the event of the
[44:22]asa or the event of us anyone within the various recommended duas
[44:28]in our mouths there is mention on the 27th day of rajab
[44:32]to recite the duas and within the dua in fact in the
[44:36]dua which we just recited on the night of 27th of rajab
[44:38]the wording of the wedding of mag earth is mentioned whereas there
[44:44]is no mention of what you would say is the mirage in
[44:47]these duas as such even though 27th of rajab commonly is being
[44:56]known as the event of maharaja celebration of mirage let us also
[45:01]focus more on the celebrating of the event of birth or the
[45:06]event of mob earth and this is an event which which i
[45:11]would like to share with you two hadith from our salaam where
[45:17]through these two hadith not only will we be able to see
[45:22]for ourselves that the 27th night of rajab is being referred to
[45:26]as the night of the asa and at the same time from
[45:31]these two hadith we will also find the significance of what is
[45:36]to be done on this date of the 27th night of rajab
[45:44]allah so the first hadees which i would like to share with
[45:52]you is the hadith from our sixth imam jafar sadiq al-islam where
[45:56]he tells his companions do not abandon the fasting on the 27th
[46:02]day of rajab so first we see what is the deed to
[46:06]be done on the 27th of rajab is observance of the fast
[46:09]which alhamdulillah with us is a community and a family right from
[46:13]our childhood the practice of encouraging of fasting on the 27th of
[46:19]rajab has been instilled in all of us and inshallah we will
[46:21]make an effort tomorrow together with our family to encourage fasting on
[46:26]the day of rajab on the 27th day of rajab and the
[46:29]imam sixty months after graham sam says do not abandon fasting on
[46:35]the 27th day of rajab why does he say so so the
[46:42]imam explains for innahu now listen to these words for it is
[46:51]on the day on which on it is the day on which
[46:56]the prophethood was revealed or the commissioning of the prophet was was
[47:02]done upon muhammad salla then the imam says to explain what is
[47:08]the benefit of that instruction of fasting on this 27th day of
[47:12]rajab the imam says in the sawab the reward for fasting on
[47:20]the 27th of rajab is equivalent to a person having fasted 60
[47:27]months samasha allah from this hadees we can see one point and
[47:34]that is the linking of the 27th rajab to the mug us
[47:38]which is the commissioning of the prophethood the inauguration of the status
[47:43]of the prophet and the second thing is the benefit of fasting
[47:47]in the 27th of rajab where we know the regarding the father
[47:51]of rajab that for a person who fasts for a day in
[47:55]the month of rajab how his thirst on the day of qayamah
[47:58]is quenched from the river rajab whose color is whiter than milk
[48:05]whose taste is sweeter than honey and one who fast allah has
[48:11]promised that a door from the doors of the fire of hell
[48:14]one will be closed for him among all these benefits of fasting
[48:18]on the day of rajab to this the benefit of fasting on
[48:23]27th day of rajab tomorrow do not miss this for a minute
[48:28]the second hadith which i would like to share with you again
[48:29]to show to us that linking the 27th day of rajab to
[48:35]mob earth and at the same time what is to be done
[48:38]on the day of my earth is from off night muhammad allah
[48:47]muhammad ali so the 90 mom says in rajab know that in
[48:53]the month of rajab there is a night which is higher which
[48:57]is much better for people than all the things on which the
[49:03]sun shines we know that in addition to our planet earth the
[49:08]sun shines also on all the other celestial bodies in our milky
[49:13]way the solar universe so you can imagine that the ninth imam
[49:16]is telling us that the excellence of this night the status the
[49:21]further of this night is much better than not only this earth
[49:26]is much better than all those celestial bodies on which the sun
[49:31]shines imagine how significant the status of this night is and the
[49:37]imam says what is the reason he says that this is the
[49:41]night of sabya usher the 27th night of rajab for it is
[49:45]the night in which rasulallah rasul allah it is the night on
[49:53]which rasulallah was commissioned to be commencing inaugurating the role of resala
[50:00]the role of messengership and prophethood and then the 90 mom explains
[50:06]that the fasting on this day or the 90 mom explains that
[50:10]there a person who performs the amma of this day is going
[50:16]to get the reward equivalent for 60 years so the people asked
[50:20]what are those to be performed on this day and the imam
[50:26]outlines the performance of salah the recitation of various duas like the
[50:31]dua which have recited tonight performing with the hustle increasing of salawat
[50:36]performing ziyarah of rasulullah miranda and also he mentions about some doing
[50:43]any of these on the 27th day of rajab the imam tells
[50:47]us that the reward is going to be equivalent for that person
[50:52]having done 60 years of the so can you imagine average life
[50:57]on this earth if it were to be taken 60 years then
[50:59]that means the deeds which that person performs on that one day
[51:04]the 27th night of rajab allah out of his mercy out of
[51:09]his generosity is going to open and shower him rewards as if
[51:14]he has performed that reward that did for 60 years of his
[51:20]lifetime salute is indeed a day of great significance of great celebration
[51:30]in a day of great blessing for it is the day of
[51:37]the announcement or the commissioning the inauguration of the commencement of the
[51:40]royal of the prophethood by the commencement of the revelation during which
[51:47]allah with al-rahman reveals the first verses of the quran through the
[51:56]angel jibril and our beloved prophet is inaugurated to commit to start
[52:01]commencing his role into announcing to the people the message of tawheed
[52:07]and drawing them towards lightness and taking them away from the darkness
[52:16]of ignorance of ayamu jahila having spoken about the hadith which talk
[52:28]about the event of the 27th rajab more linked with the bertha
[52:33]and that is the inauguration of the role of a beloved prophet
[52:37]muhammad mustafa al-ahiwa the for the excellence of this day end the
[52:47]abundant of reward which a person will get in performing the amounts
[52:51]of this day i would like to urge myself and share this
[52:55]with you that let us not be heedless let us take advantage
[53:02]of this gift of life which allah has given us and especially
[53:06]when we are witnessing these unprecedented times during these pandemic moments of
[53:13]the pandemic let us try our best in observing the various which
[53:18]i have mentioned increasing recitation of salawat performing of the ghostful reciting
[53:23]of the dhiara performing of the psalm and the sadaka and at
[53:29]all moments increasing the salawat and tomorrow being the day of jumba
[53:33]is going to add increased reward abundance of that link of the
[53:42]sanctity the harma having spoken about or touched about the author i
[53:56]would now like to link it to our times and to ask
[54:00]or to respond to the question as to how is this day
[54:07]of the 27th day of rajab significant for us rather how is
[54:15]this day of the 27th of rajab of significance for the whole
[54:21]of humanity and if one want to reflect there can be at
[54:26]least i've been able to list down five different points in my
[54:33]reflection for how this 27th day of rajab is of great significance
[54:38]not only for us as muslims but for the whole of humanity
[54:44]within this time i would like to share with you insha allah
[54:49]a few of these which have been able to jot down from
[54:53]those five so that we may be able to share with us
[54:56]with you in sha allah as to what is the significance of
[55:03]this day of mob earth for us as muslims and for the
[55:06]whole of humanity the first point which i would like to share
[55:10]with you in responding to this question is that this day of
[55:18]mob earth is an important milestone is an important pillar in being
[55:25]able to strengthen our belief of imam al-mahdi ajalahu farah yahush how
[55:32]does it strengthen our belief in the imam of our time sahih
[55:37]ambulance when we look at history just like our beloved prophet muhammed
[55:45]society which was overrun with all evil infanticide long drawn war conflicts
[55:58]alcohol gambling lose morals to such an extent the death period is
[56:02]called a yamun jahiliyyah the period of ignorance it was amongst that
[56:09]time or amongst that poor moments when the holy prophet was born
[56:14]as a prophet and he stayed within that community and it was
[56:18]at the appointed time what was the appointed time when the prophet
[56:22]came of the age of 40 years in the year 610 some
[56:29]1421 years before from today in the month of rajab when the
[56:35]prophet was in the mount of hera at that time is when
[56:39]the first verses of the quran were revealed upon him and it
[56:44]was at that appointed moment that the holy prophet now was in
[56:49]ignited into commissioning his role of messengership his role of nubua and
[56:55]risala likewise our beloved imam al-mahdi aj has already been born he
[57:06]is living amongst us during these challenging and chaotic time of zamat
[57:14]and our beloved imam al-mahdi in living amongst us during these challenging
[57:20]times two is waiting in this ray battle is waiting for the
[57:29]divine instruction to be able to activate his role in providing farage
[57:35]in providing that relief and delivery to the whole of mankind that
[57:40]is going to be the behavior of what you would say as
[57:44]the author of the imam of our time sahib al-asri was therefore
[57:49]when we talk about the 27th day of rajab it gives us
[58:01]an opportunity in linking it to our current time so that we
[58:07]can increase in our love for imam al-mahdi allah sharif we can
[58:14]strengthen our belief in him and we can at the same time
[58:17]hold steadfast in our hope and continue in preparing for the of
[58:25]our mawlana swahili by the way of the barakah the excellence the
[58:37]sacredness of this night of birth and also the night of the
[58:42]raj one of the nights of maharaja we pray allah to hasten
[58:50]the pharaoh muhammad the second point which i would like to share
[59:14]with you with regards to the significance of our current times today
[59:23]is in linking to be asa being the night or the date
[59:29]of the commencement of the revelation of al-quran al-qarim we know that
[59:36]the revelation of the quran al karim commenced from the 27th date
[59:41]of the month of rajab and thereafter over a period of 23
[59:45]years the revelations continued gradually till the whole of the quran was
[59:54]now conveyed to the muslim ummah to the world through the end
[59:57]of the final verse of the holy quran by the holy prophet
[60:03]so when we talk about being the commencement of the revelation of
[60:09]the quran the question which we would like to ask ourselves is
[60:14]as we celebrate this night of birth this night of maharaja as
[60:19]we celebrate the day of the commissioning the inauguration the commencement of
[60:25]the role the ignition of the role of a beloved prophet sallallahu
[60:30]alaihi sallam the questions which we need to ask ourselves is how
[60:33]close are you and i to the quran al-karim do we consider
[60:40]the quran to be our friend in this world just as you
[60:47]and i would definitely like to be the quran to be our
[60:50]anees to be our closest friend and companion in the darkness of
[60:57]the grave when we move away from this walls do we seek
[61:01]counsel and guidance from the quran and try to lead our life
[61:06]on his teachings how important is the quran towards us in our
[61:12]lives so that we work our lives like the living quran and
[61:16]we become closely connected to the quran so important it is for
[61:22]us that we see in the wasaya the final words of ali
[61:31]muhammad muhammad mentions i enjoy you by allah by allah feel quran
[61:41]i adore you with regards to the matter of the quran by
[61:45]allah i ask you take care with regards to the matters of
[61:51]the quran ensure that no one should excel others or no one
[62:00]should precede you in acting upon the quran therefore we need on
[62:07]this occasion of make a resolution and ask yourselves this question how
[62:15]close and connected are you to the quran start with the basics
[62:19]of becoming closer to the quran at least by spending time every
[62:27]day towards the reading of the quran make efforts to be able
[62:30]to improve in the recitation with the rules of maharish and thereafter
[62:35]with the jude and together with the 13 of the quran looking
[62:41]at the translation and reflecting of the contents of the quran and
[62:45]most important of all putting our life into practice of the quran
[62:51]let the quran be a manual guiding us how do we walk
[62:56]our lives on this earth with shahu ramadhan just coming round the

[63:09]us a moment to take stock and ask ourselves how prepared are
[63:14]we to take the quran is our guide to becoming close connected
[63:18]to the quran do we do the same preparations as we do
[63:24]for iftar and the sahari for the month of ramadan which is
[63:29]just around the corner likewise it calls upon ourselves close to on
[63:34]this date of maharaja to see what plans and preparations are we
[63:40]doing so that the quran features in our programs for the month
[63:43]of ramadan insha allah making preparations as we do for iftar and
[63:50]sahara from now and the same time making the quran become a
[63:52]part of our daily life so that we become closely connected to
[63:58]the quran within this time of menin i've been able to share
[64:03]with you two of these humble reflections as to how is this
[64:06]date of the 27th rajab the day of the aratha of relevance
[64:12]and significance to us insha allah therefore mu'mineen this day the day
[64:19]of 27th of rajab day of birth provides us our all in
[64:25]summary an opportunity to reflect how faithfully are we appreciating celebrating committing
[64:33]ourselves to this gift of islam which was brought to us by
[64:40]rahmatullah at the same time reaffirming our commitment to the quran and
[64:45]salam and making a resolution that we know one year has gone
[64:51]away from our life as come when we look at the previous
[64:55]the previous year one year has gone how much we need to
[64:58]work hard still further to be able to live our lives not
[65:05]only as individuals but also together with our families insha'allah as we
[65:11]celebrate this joyful occasion of baratha let us do dua to allah
[65:17]subhanahu wa'ta'ala that he gives us that faith insha allah to be
[65:22]able to reignite ourselves together with our families to live is to
[65:27]love islam to live our lives according to muslim to overcome the
[65:32]challenges of our suffering and as we go through these unprecedented times
[65:38]due to the covet 19 pandemic meaning let us reassure ourselves that
[65:44]the way allah subhanahu wa allah sent the gift of the quran
[65:48]and the beloved prophet is to this world allah will not leave
[65:53]us alone we entrust all our affairs to allah subhanahu wa for
[65:58]with allah this is one of those lines which we recite every
[66:03]day is our talk about after fajr i entrust all my um
[66:09]all my affairs to allah subhanahu wa we pray to allah subscribe
[66:30]m and for those families who have lost their beloved ones during
[66:46]these moments of the pandemic year allah we pray to you grant
[66:50]them that strength and relief to go through these difficult times of
[66:54]grief for the muslim media allah in different parts of the world
[66:56]ya allah we pray to you grant them that grant them that
[67:03]relief and comfort the tahoe mean the oppressors wherever they are ya
[67:07]allah we pray to you make all their plans to become and
[67:12]void and defeated at all times ya allah we pray to you
[67:16]for the protection of islam by the wasilla of the event of
[67:25]mob grant long lives together with good health protect them from all
[67:32]calamities that they may continue to guide us during these challenges of
[67:34]salman we make special prayers for our family for our community for
[67:43]all the volunteers may allah accept all your devotions accept all your
[67:47]rewards those who have asked us to pray for their may allah
[67:51]accept all their hearts may allah protect you and your families grant
[67:56]you good health insha allah increasing your barakah and may allah subhanahu
