[0:00]in respected brothers and sisters i would like to begin by giving
[0:23]you my condolences on the anniversary of the martyrdom of the lady
[0:30]of light the daughter of rasulullah and the wife of abi talib
[0:42]and the mother of the imams imam al hassan and imam al
[0:46]hussain and the imams from the children of imam al hussain we
[0:53]ask allah to grant us the intercession and the of this honorable
[1:02]lady the lady of light fatima who is known to be as
[1:08]the greatest of all women rasulullah he tells his companions that allah
[1:16]chose certain women to be role models to be examples for mankind
[1:25]and allah chose fatima to be the greatest of those women fatima
[1:33]she is if maryam the mother of jesus is she is the
[1:45]leader of the woman rasulullah says maryam is the leader of the
[1:49]woman of her time while fatima is the leader of the woman
[1:54]of all times and therefore my dear brothers and sisters these days
[2:01]and these nights we should try to take examples and lessons from
[2:06]the life of this great lady fatima lessons of chastity lessons of
[2:12]modesty lessons of strength lessons of worship lessons of being a mother
[2:18]a daughter and a wife these are all lessons that we can
[2:22]learn even today we need and we are in desperate need of
[2:27]the lessons of the lives of the al bayt specifically fatima this
[2:34]is why allah gave fatima as a gift to you know rasulullah
[2:42]he had sons and his sons they were dying they were dying
[2:47]they were not living long so the the pagans of mecca they
[2:52]began to call meaning an animal that does not have a tail
[2:58]meaning someone who does not have a continuation no progeny no children
[3:04]and when we read the quran we see that the prophets something
[3:07]that they really wanted and they really cared about was to have
[3:11]children to have a progeny ibrahim zakaria and rasulullah so when they
[3:20]were making fun of rasulullah because he did not have children allah
[3:24]subhanahu wa ta'ala gave him fatima and allah subhanahu wa ta'ala tells
[3:28]him we have given you we have given you fatima kowthar has
[3:36]many definitions one definition is the pond the pond in paradise the
[3:42]water where the people in paradise they go and they drink from
[3:46]it's called howdal kowthar and they will be standing in the house
[3:52]of kothar and they will be giving water to those who are
[3:57]worthy of reaching the pond of kothar and many people will not
[4:01]reach the pond of kothar rasulullah he says in a hadith narrated
[4:06]by bukhari where rasulullah he says some my sahaba they will come
[4:13]i will be the first at the hauth and then some of
[4:18]my companions they will come to the hauth and they will be
[4:23]pulled away they will be pulled away just as the camel is
[4:27]pulled away from the water and then i will say oh my
[4:32]lord my companions then allah will tell him you don't know what
[4:41]they did after you and this is a very important lesson fatima
[4:46]zahra is important in our lives and relevant because fatima zahra and
[4:52]amir al mu'mineen they are the ones who decide between the truth
[4:56]and falsehood after during the life of rasulullah it was rasulullah whenever
[5:02]he was happy with someone was upset with someone people knew but
[5:06]then rasulullah he says allah is satisfied by the satisfaction of fatima
[5:20]and allah is angered by the anger of fatima the wrath of
[5:24]allah will come upon someone who has angered fatima this is why
[5:28]fatima is so great so anyways we were saying al kawthar one
[5:34]definition for it is al houth the pond of kawthar another definition
[5:39]for it is the abundance of greatness and rasulullah he has the
[5:46]greatest of all greatness through fatima tizarah through his progeny through his
[5:52]children until today you see that there is a progeny to rasulullah
[5:58]people are proud people respect those who are from the descendants of
[6:06]not because of the individual but because of rasulullah because of the
[6:09]ahlul bayt and third definition is because all of the greatness that
[6:18]rasulullah saw in his life and his continuation and continuation of his
[6:22]legacy and his memory is through fatima yes because fatima zahra she
[6:29]is the bond between prophethood and imamah and if it was not
[6:34]for fatima then the continuation of the message of rasulullah and the
[6:40]lineage of rasulullah would not continue fatima tazarah she was the wife
[6:46]of amir al mu'mineen she is the mother of the imams and
[6:51]rasulullah he says the imams are 12 after me and then in
[6:56]one hadith he says that they are other than ali ibn abi
[7:01]talib they are from the children of fatima the reality my progeny
[7:09]is from ali and fatima so this is the kawthar that allah
[7:14]gave rasulullah when they used to make fun of rasulullah allah tells
[7:20]them go and praise pray to your lord means bring your bring
[7:31]your ear your hand to your when you would do when we
[7:34]do takbirat al ihram we say allahu akbar this is called one
[7:37]har of course another definition it means slaughter and sacrifice go and
[7:42]sacrifice make a sacrifice for your lord continuation now allah subhanahu wa
[8:03]ta'ala talks about a lady in an atmosphere that did not respect
[8:07]women that looked down upon women that did not regard having a
[8:14]daughter as a blessing from allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in that community
[8:18]the community that fatima tazarah was born in and rasulullah was growing
[8:22]up in and lived in they used to if they have a
[8:25]daughter they used to be upset allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says that
[8:49]when someone in that society they come to them and they tell
[8:52]them your wife gave birth to a daughter his face would become
[9:02]black out of anger and upset and he would become upset he
[9:09]would not be proud if allah has given you a child you
[9:14]go and you say i have a child they would know they
[9:17]would not be proud and then he has a dilemma should he
[9:21]hold on to the child with shame or should he bury the
[9:25]child and some of them would bury their children islam came to
[9:35]change the way women and men are regarded islam came and changed
[9:41]that perspective that false perception that people had and it needed someone
[9:48]to be an example and that example was fatima the way rasulullah
[9:55]would treat her the way she would treat rasulullah the role that
[9:58]she had in building the religion of islam fatima according to the
[10:05]shi'a narrative she was born five years after the ba'atha of rasulullah
[10:10]in makkah meaning five years into the prophethood of rasulullah whereas the
[10:17]non shi'a narrative says she was born five years before the of
[10:21]rasulullah so there's a ten year difference and here with regards to
[10:27]the yes there are there were many that try to fabricate and
[10:32]change and alter the narrative regarding the you know for he started
[10:40]a sunnah that was carried on by bani ummaya for over eighty
[10:44]ninety years and that was the sunnah of cursing ali ibn abi
[10:47]talib and imam al hassan and imam hussain and even fatima tazarah
[10:51]so there is a lot of distortion within our books this is
[10:57]why we need to go back to see with clarity and if
[11:03]we go back with a sincere heart we will find the truth
[11:07]fatima she was born into the prophethood of rasulullah and she became
[11:16]his supporter rasulullah used to come home many nights many days rasulullah
[11:22]would come home bleeding from head to toe and it was his
[11:25]daughter fatima that would take care of her father she would be
[11:30]the one who would heal the wounds and rasulullah they mentioned that
[11:36]in badran and uhud either one of them fatima tazarat was there
[11:41]healing the wound of rasulullah in uhud perhaps and fatima tazara played
[11:48]an active role in building the religion of islam and carrying on
[11:53]the message of her father then she moved on to become a
[11:59]wife and what a wife did she become she married amir al
[12:02]mumineen ali ibn abi talib the first of the muslims the first
[12:06]of the supporters of and rasulullah he says if it was not
[12:13]for ali then fatima would not have an equal counterpart someone who
[12:19]is similar to her yes they started that household and a house
[12:26]of charity a house of giving a of sacrifice we give you
[12:43]for the sake of allah we don't want anything in return these
[12:46]are the that house of giving this is why that house was
[12:53]a house that brought joy to rasulullah that was the house that
[12:58]rasulullah used to visit every day anytime he travels the last person
[13:04]he says goodbye to was fatima and whenever he comes back from
[13:08]his trip the first house he would go to was fatima tazarah
[13:12]there's no doubt about this yes today some they come and they
[13:17]try to elevate the ranks of others to say that these people
[13:21]were closer but no it was fatima who was the closest of
[13:26]ladies to rasulullah and amir al mumineen who was the closest of
[13:31]the men these are not our words aisha the wife of the
[13:35]prophet she was asked who was the closest to rasulullah she said
[13:38]from the woman it was fatima and from the men it was
[13:41]ali ibn abi talib they were the closest to rasulullah and then
[13:47]she became a wife and then she became a mother and what
[13:52]a mother did she become a mother that raised imam al hassan
[13:57]imam al hussain zainab and uncle thoom each one of them had
[14:03]a huge impact in delivering and continuing the legacy of islam and
[14:08]the legacy of rasulullah she taught her children the essence of sacrifice
[14:15]she taught her children to do dua for others imam al hassan
[14:19]he says i would see my mother on a thursday night she
[14:24]stands in her mihrab and the whole night she's praying until her
[14:29]feet would swell and i hear her praying dua doing dua for
[14:34]the neighbors so later on i come to her i tell her
[14:37]o mother you did dua for this person and that person she
[14:43]she tells him yes oh my dear son you do dua for
[14:49]the neighbor and then you do dua for yourself this sacrifice was
[14:55]incorporated and it became a part of her children and this was
[14:58]something that fatima tazaran and ibn mumin they did as parents today
[15:03]my dear brothers and sisters as parents we have to ask ourselves
[15:07]what are we teaching our children what are we doing are we
[15:10]fulfilling our duties and our responsibilities not by telling them just do
[15:14]this and do that no by teaching them by becoming role models
[15:18]as parents they were role models when she was a wife amir
[15:23]al mumineen ali ibn abi talib he says he says she never
[15:30]angered me she never upset me she never raised her voice at
[15:35]me and i never raised my voice at her and this was
[15:39]a memory that amir al mumineen had thirty years later he tells
[15:43]ammar and he tells his companions they see him he is still
[15:47]in sadness they tell him what's wrong he says i'm i'm still
[15:51]sad i'm still grieving the death of fatima they tell him why
[15:57]he says because fatima she never upset me she never angered me
[16:01]she never hurt me and i never angered her we lived a
[16:06]beautiful life with one another even though it was filled with turbulence
[16:10]even though it was filled with difficulties and challenges yet it was
[16:14]a beautiful life this was fatima after the death of rasulullah fatima
[16:21]tazara her life flipped upside down a 180 degrees where she was
[16:28]the daughter of the prophet the one who rasulullah would stand in
[16:32]front of her house everyday rasulullah would teach the essence of worship
[16:47]he taught her she says says amir al mumminin narrates this and
[17:07]she also amir al mumminin he says fatima al mumminin was tired
[17:11]she was exhausted she used to take care of the work in
[17:15]the house and the children and so much stuff that the work
[17:20]in the house it impacted her body this is the daughter of
[17:23]the prophet she didn't say i'm the daughter of a prophet let
[17:27]me bring help here and there no she took on the task
[17:33]so amir al mumineen he says i tell her o fatima why
[17:37]don't you ask your father rasulullah to give you help in the
[17:41]house someone that will help you so he says she went and
[17:48]she wanted to speak to rasulullah but she saw that rasulullah was
[17:52]busy there were people sitting by the prophet rasulullah saw her he
[17:56]saw that she wanted to see him but there were people around
[17:58]him so rasulullah he comes that night amir al mumineen he says
[18:05]i was laying and fatima was laying rasulullah came and he sat
[18:10]above our heads and he says oh fatima you came and you
[18:17]wanted to you needed something what was it that you wanted amir
[18:20]al mumineen says she was shy she was too embarrassed to tell
[18:23]her father i need help so he asked her again she was
[18:28]shy then he tells rasulullah he tells him has been working and
[18:34]she's exhausted she is carrying the water that has impacted her she's
[18:39]lighting the fire and that has impacted her and this is not
[18:43]to say that amir al mumin was not working no amir al
[18:45]mumin was also struggling but life at that time required more work
[18:49]today we're spoiled today you want to light fire you just go
[18:52]to the stove and you light it you turn it on before
[18:54]you need to go and bring wood and you need to go
[18:56]and blow and you need to do so much stuff or if
[19:00]you wanna bring water right now you just go and open the
[19:02]faucet you go to the fridge and you take water before you
[19:05]wanna take water you have to come and carry that water so
[19:10]life before was a lot more difficult and it required help and
[19:14]this is why families they wanted to focus on growth because the
[19:18]bigger your family is the more help you have in the family
[19:22]so he tells rasulullah that fatima tazara she worked and she struggled
[19:29]and that has impacted her so she wanted to ask for help
[19:34]so rasulullah he tells her oh fatima i will give you and
[19:40]ali advice if you take care of this and if you use
[19:44]this then you're not going to need help he tells them every
[19:49]night before you sleep and when you wake up and after every
[19:54]prayer say allahu akbar 34 times and 33 times alhamdulillah and 33
[20:04]times subhanallah and then he tells her if you do this you're
[20:09]not going to be needing help anymore she says i am satisfied
[20:18]with what god promised me and what rasulullah has offered me she
[20:24]didn't say you rasulullah i came i needed help and you're coming
[20:27]and you're telling me to say allah subhanallah how is that going
[20:31]to help me no because she has faith in her father and
[20:35]she has faith in the zikr of allah my dear brothers and
[20:39]sisters the remembrance of allah will change your lives make sure that
[20:44]you have the remembrance of allah in your heart in your mind
[20:47]when you're going through struggles remember allah allah will answer you when
[20:51]you're going through difficulties and challenges remember allah subhanahu wa ta'ala allah
[20:56]will be there allah and this is the imams of the they
[21:05]held on to the all of the imams imam al bakr imam
[21:09]sadiq the all the imams imam al bakr i believe he says
[21:15]having for me to is better than praying the whole night a
[21:20]thousand rakas 1,000 rakas is equivalent to yes because this is a
[21:28]that is genuine that it's taken from its source everyone prays muslims
[21:35]pray but some of those who pray have committed the worst crimes
[21:40]even though they're praying because they didn't take their prayer from the
[21:43]right sources even prayer it has to be from the right sources
[21:47]islam allah wants us to take our religion from the right sources
[21:53]this is why allah says when you go to mecca when you
[21:56]go to hajj go and pray where ibrahim stood go and pray
[22:03]the way rasulullah has prayed if i come and i say no
[22:09]i'm going to pray fajr prayer instead of two rakahs let me
[22:12]pray 10 rakahs it's more but allah won't accept it because allah
[22:16]wants us to take our religion the way he wants from the
[22:19]right sources and those sources are rasulullah and the al bayt alaihi
[22:22]salam this is why there was a dilemma after the death of
[22:28]the prophet some muslims they took a different path a path that
[22:33]was totally different from that of just seventy days before his death
[22:39]rasulullah tells the muslims i'm leaving behind the two eighty things the
[22:49]book of allah and my and he also tells them whoever i'm
[23:05]his maulah ali is his maulah but what did they do some
[23:10]they changed the course after they had given after they had given
[23:14]allegiance to amir al mumineen on the day of gadir and they
[23:20]changed the course that allah subhanahu wa ta'ala hadn't planned that rasulullah
[23:24]had planned for and allah says in the quran there will be
[23:39]an intelab there will be a flipping changing falling back over your
[23:44]heels and neglecting the message of islam and the message of rasulallah
[23:51]most they were silent all of them were afraid amir al mu'mineen
[23:57]his rights were taken away from him so now fatima tazarah rasulallah
[24:04]he before his death he made sure to leave her as an
[24:09]example for the muslims allah is satisfied by the satisfaction of fatima
[24:21]and allah is angered by the anger of fatima what does this
[24:24]mean that means go and see what makes fatima happy and what
[24:27]makes her angry and fatima was angry with those who came into
[24:32]power yes this is the truth is not what i'm saying is
[24:37]not what the shia say go and see bukhari bukhari the number
[24:41]one book in the sunni school of thought after the quran he
[24:45]says fatima died while she was upset with the establishment they came
[24:54]and they wanted to say salaam she did not welcome them why
[24:59]because they had upset her they had hurt her they had oppressed
[25:04]her this is why when we say the ziyara of fatima tzara
[25:08]we say she was upset and her last days she was upset
[25:27]she was upset she was upset with the establishment and she asked
[25:36]amir al mu'mineen to make sure that her burial is in secret
[25:40]and private the daughter the only daughter of rasulullah when the prophet
[25:44]died he only had one daughter his other daughters had passed away
[25:49]if we were to accept that they were their her daughters much
[25:52]most likely they were fatima was the only one fatima was the
[25:57]only one and she died according to narration seventy five days according
[26:03]to this narration that we're commemorating seventy five days after the death
[26:07]of the prophet she was young 18 years old this is what
[26:14]happened to the al bayt alaihi salam they took away fadak from
[26:18]her a huge farm that was belonging to rasulullah gave it to
[26:24]fatima they took it away from her they have power they have
[26:29]strength they took it away and ibn abul hadid al mutazali a
[26:34]non shia scholar he's written an interpretation commentary on najj al balaga
[26:38]he says i asked my teacher why did they take fadak from
[26:43]fatima when she brought all of the proofs she said it's mine
[26:47]it's in my hand can you come and meaning if something is
[26:52]in my control can i come and say no this is mine
[26:55]the one who's claiming otherwise needs to needs to bring proof then
[27:00]she said it was a gift given to me nahla a gift
[27:05]given to me by rasulullah and she brought the proofs she brought
[27:09]she brought the witnesses imam al hasan imam al hussain and ayman
[27:14]the caretaker of rasulullah who rasulullah promised her paradise they said no
[27:19]we don't accept these individuals even though these individuals are purified in
[27:23]the quran and then she came and she said okay you don't
[27:31]accept that it's in my hand you don't accept that it was
[27:34]a gift at least accept that it's an inheritance it belonged to
[27:38]rasulullah and i inherit from rasulullah they said no he said i
[27:46]heard i heard rasulullah say we the prophets we don't leave an
[27:56]inheritance and whatever we leave it's sadaqah she tells him she says
[28:07]subhanallah rasoolallah did not go against the quran go and look at
[28:10]the quran go and look at the you'll say come allah she
[28:24]gave five verses five verses of inheritance to say that i inherit
[28:28]from my father why is it that i can't inherit they did
[28:31]not give her a single thing and then later on you see
[28:34]some of the wives of the prophet they took more than share
[28:37]they took much more than their share the whole the room which
[28:40]was supposed to be divided that room became for one wife of
[28:45]the prophet and she buried her father and the second khalifa but
[28:51]fatima tazara was not allowed to inherit imam al hassan was not
[28:54]allowed to be buried next to rasulullah he was sent to be
[28:58]buried in the bakiya this is the oppression that the al bayt
[29:02]went through today some people say why do you guys make such
[29:05]a big deal we make a big deal because the al bayt
[29:08]the family of the prophet were oppressed and until today we face
[29:12]the consequences backwards today why are the muslims suffering being hit left
[29:19]and right why are they weak because rasulullah say she became ill
[29:33]she became ill after an attack on the house of fatima and
[29:39]after that the imam says after she experienced what she experienced from
[29:56]the qom from the people she held on she was in bed
[30:01]her body became so weak her flesh melted away meaning that she
[30:07]became so skinny and she became like a shadow she used to
[30:14]go to the grave of now this young lady does not have
[30:20]energy she holds on to the wall another hand on that broken
[30:24]rib and she goes to the grave of rasulullah she she speaks
[30:29]to rasulullah she takes the soil from the grave of rasulullah and
[30:33]she begins to say deliver this message to my father rasulallah and
[31:03]tell him calamities have fallen upon me that if they were to
[31:08]fall on day they would turn that day into night she sooner
[31:15]soon after that she prepared her children asma says that fatima to
[31:23]zaha she prepared the food she washed her children she sent them
[31:27]to the masjid and the girls were sent with some relatives asmat
[31:33]says tells me i'm going into the room to pray to recite
[31:37]the quran if you hear that the quran has stopped then know
[31:41]that i have left this life she said after that i heard
[31:47]her reciting the quran then a while later i heard the quran
[31:50]stop so she says i came in the room and i saw
[31:55]that fatima was quiet the quran had stopped so i called her
[32:00]oh daughter of rasulallah but there was no answer a while later
[32:10]she says i saw al hassan and al hussain they come in
[32:14]i go to them before they come in the room i tell
[32:17]them your mother has prepared food for you let me prepare the
[32:20]food for you they tell her oh asma when have you seen
[32:24]us eat without our mother fatima so they felt that something had
[32:30]happened they come in the room they see their mother is laying
[32:34]and her face is covered with a sheet they throw themselves on
[32:38]the body of their mother imam al hasani throws himself on the
[32:43]chest of his mother he says o mother speak to me i
[32:50]am your son hasan imam al hussein he drops himself on the
[32:54]feet of his mother fatima and he says i am the love
[33:03]i am your loved one hussein asmat she comes and she says
[33:08]oh children of rasulullah go to the masjid and inform your father
[33:13]that fatima tazarah has passed away they ran into the masjid they're
[33:19]crying the sahaba the muslims they tell them what has happened are
[33:23]you reminded of the death of your grandfather rasulallah they say our
[33:33]mother has passed away they say that amir al mutmanin when he
