[0:00]one man we have began the third chapter of our series on
[0:56]the life of prophet muhammed here we will be speaking about a
[1:02]great day in the history of islam the day of mabath the
[1:05]day in which prophet muhammad received the revelation at 40 years old
[1:10]this is actually a very controversial topic because there are so many
[1:15]differing opinions when it comes to this day and all the discussions
[1:19]that come out of it for example did the prophet really know
[1:24]that he was a prophet otherwise what was he going into the
[1:27]cave of hera for um what was his reaction once he received
[1:33]the revelation how did he receive the revelation what did the people
[1:38]say could he read or could he not read this will be
[1:41]the main discussion for this chapter as well as the day of
[1:46]maharaja or rather the night of maharaja in which prophet muhammad visited
[1:51]the heavens and was in the presence of allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala so
[1:56]as we mentioned rasulullah had known he was a prophet and the
[2:00]imam ali islam tells us that he was guarded by an angel
[2:06]that would teach him and protect him throughout his youth after his
[2:11]marriage to sir khadija by a couple of years when he was
[2:16]40 years old after it was a habit for him of going
[2:20]into her going to contemplate and going to meditate in solitude when
[2:26]it comes to certain mainstream narratives that many of us may have
[2:30]encountered in our lives most notably on the bbc documentary when it
[2:37]narrates the story of prophet muhammad it goes by a certain narration
[2:40]that if we look to the chronology of events and we combine
[2:44]different parts of the life of the prophet together we realize it
[2:50]cannot be true and the mainstream narrative of the way in which
[2:55]prophet muhammad receives the revelation is that on the 27th of rajab
[3:00]as he was in on his own the angel gabriel descends upon
[3:10]him and he hears the word and the prophet does not know
[3:15]what's happening does not know where the voice is coming from and
[3:18]this is the narration that most of us i'm sure are acquainted
[3:24]with ikra and he says i can't read he says his i
[3:29]can't read until gabriel squeezes him and even in some reports strikes
[3:34]him and here prophet muhammad feels that he is going crazy that
[3:39]he may be delirious he was going to jump off the cliff
[3:44]at the time for allah to commit suicide he panics he doesn't
[3:47]know what's happening and where the voice is coming from and it's
[3:51]too heavy on him and he runs down from the mountain and
[3:53]he runs to his wife khadijah and he tells her what happened
[3:57]and say the khadijah tells him you're a prophet she knows and
[4:02]he doesn't know and she takes him to her cousin who also
[4:06]reaffirms and tells him you're a prophet so even her cousin knows
[4:11]and he doesn't know and it seems like everyone knows that rasulullah
[4:15]is a prophet except rasulullah well of course we stated that prophet
[4:21]muhammad had known that he was a prophet from the very beginning
[4:24]and he was simply awaiting for his command when he would go
[4:30]up to harahara he was waiting for the revelation he was awaiting
[4:34]the word of god and he was awaiting his mission to begin
[4:37]and indeed it began on that day on the 27th of rajab
[4:41]when he was alone in the gabriel finally descended upon him and
[4:48]told him to begin his mission but did not tell him it
[4:54]because the first words of the quran were not revealed in rajab
[4:58]rajab is the day of mabath the day of the baatha the
[5:03]day of the mission begins but the quran was not revealed on
[5:08]this day and i'll get to that point later on so prophet
[5:10]muhammad now begins his official mission our report tell us that he
[5:16]exits the cave and he comes down from the mountain and the
[5:20]trees and the plants and the rocks and the stones they begin
[5:24]to whisper and speak to him of course in the language of
[5:28]the unseen saying assalamu alaikum and he comes down and islam tells
[5:34]us that the prophet was mustafa he was smiling he was calm
[5:39]and happy he was waiting for this moment there was no panic
[5:44]there was no aus willa a feeling of suicide or jumping off
[5:48]a cliff or not knowing what's happening especially you know an angel
[5:51]going to strike him he comes down and imam ali alayhi salaam
[5:58]who had already known about the mission of the prophet muhammad according
[6:04]to many narrations that he had spoken to him about this the
[6:08]prophet speaks to say the khadijah and he speaks to imam ali
[6:12]salam and they are the first to enter into the fold of
[6:17]islam in its official official standing and then began what was known
[6:23]as the secret calling there was a secret calling to islam and
[6:29]there was a public calling to islam in the secret calling rasulullah
[6:35]only chose those who he completely trusted to tell them of islam
[6:40]for the public calling is when he spoke out against the idols
[6:44]and spoke out against quraysh publicly this is why for the first
[6:48]three years of the battle the first three years after the prophet
[6:52]began his mission the people of quraysh had no issue with the
[6:55]prophet there were rumors that perhaps he speaks to the skies or
[6:58]he thinks he does at least is there a way that we
[7:02]can benefit from this if there is there we can make financial
[7:06]gain from this that's what the people of quraysh would think in
[7:08]mecca at the time there was no problem they had no problem
[7:12]with muhammad at that time in fact there are reports that tell
[7:16]us a man a businessman who later on had become a muslim
[7:18]he tells us that he had once visited mecca in one of
[7:22]these years of the secret calling and he was with the uncle
[7:27]of the prophet abbas and he saw a man come next to
[7:33]the kaaba with a young boy and the woman to his side
[7:36]and he was looking into the sky and his eyes were twinkling
[7:40]he waited for a certain time and then he raised his hands
[7:45]up to his ears and he began to say words and whisper
[7:50]words and recite and likewise the young boy would and the woman
[7:53]behind them would too and then they would bow down but they
[7:57]weren't facing the kaaba of course we know that at that time
[8:00]the the qibla was in palestine and he says he asked abbas
[8:06]who are these people who are these three people and he says
[8:09]this is my nephew muhammad and this is my nephew ali and
[8:16]that woman is muhammad's wife and he says that he is upon
[8:22]a religion and there is no other than these three upon this
[8:24]religion it seems the prophet had spoken to abbas at the time
[8:28]but it was still part of the secret calling now at best
[8:33]did not become a muslim early but what this business man says
[8:37]is i wish i had joined him in prayer on that day
[8:39]no what was happening and i would have been the fourth to
[8:42]enter into the fold of islam so this secret calling lasted for
[8:47]three years and this secret calling did not have revelation during its
[8:54]time period the revelation was revealed for the public calling just prior
[9:00]to it as we mentioned on the 27th of rajab the day
[9:05]of the mabath there was no word that came down by the
[9:10]context of reed of ikra because as we know the quran came
[9:17]down in shah ramadan shahrukh ramadan quran that the quran came down
[9:28]first of all in the holy month of shah ramadan so it
[9:31]could not have come down on the day of mabath which again
[9:35]goes against that mainstream narrative and the way in which the prophet
[9:39]muhammad received the revelation of the quran he would receive it in
[9:43]two ways there's no problem in saying that he receives it in
[9:46]these two ways usually scholars differ on these two ways in which
[9:50]she receives it but we say a combination of both that he
[9:53]would receive the quran at times in stages through gabriel that he
[9:59]would res he would recite it to him in stages he would
[10:02]receive the revelation in stages and another way is when he received
[10:09]the entire truth the hakika of the quran into his heart there
[10:13]were times that there was no intermediary when he received it at
[10:16]stages so in stages he receives the quran as words as the
[10:23]words we know in the book that we carry the words that
[10:25]we recite the quran that we know and as a truth it
[10:30]came down into his heart in one goal it came down on
[10:33]le little qatar in that way likewise on leila in three years
[10:41]after the battle three years later is when ibrahil came down and
[10:47]told rasulullah to ikra it happened after the time of the secret
[10:53]calling had been completed or almost had been just completed now if
[10:59]we look to the quran and we realize as you mentioned that
[11:05]the first chapter of course is iqra afterwards the second chapter agreed
[11:09]upon by all muslim scholars is either muddaster or sword and in
[11:18]both chapters in the beginning of both chapters there is talk from
[11:22]the people of quraish against rasulullah he has now made enemies in
[11:29]this in these chapters they detail the events that occur where a
[11:32]man by the name of waleed what he would do is he
[11:36]would tell the people in mecca to stand around the different parts
[11:41]of the town so that whoever was coming into the town wanting
[11:43]to listen to the word of the prophet they would say to
[11:47]those people put your fingers in your ears do not listen to
[11:51]this magician do not listen to this poet and this trickster this
[11:55]man by the name of waleed ibn mohirah the quran itself speaks
[11:58]about him and he realizes and he turns away and in the
[12:03]ayat of these chapters they speak about these events of walid as
[12:09]well as the negotiations that took place between the people of quraish
[12:12]and the prophet when they realized that he was causing a problem
[12:16]for their finances now if he was to come up and speak
[12:18]against their idols and so they would negotiate and they would say
[12:22]one year we worship your god in one year we worship our
[12:26]god of course this could not have happened in the time of
[12:30]the secret calling so these two chapters could not have been revealed
[12:32]for the first three years and again this aids the idea that
[12:37]the day of mabath there was no quran revealed to the prophet
[12:44]muhammad it was only three years later that the quran was revealed
[12:46]and these ayats were revealed firstly in secret and then when surat
[12:52]al-tuha was revealed to the prophet and allah subhanahu tahala tells rasulallah
[13:00]this is when he's telling him to speak of the bounties of
[13:06]your lord this was when it was ordered to rasulullah to begin
[13:10]the public calling and so he goes out into the town and
[13:13]he calls the people and he begins to speak about the religion
[13:18]of islam publicly now now publicly denouncing the idols and publicly inviting
[13:22]the people and now there was a bull's-eye on his head by
[13:27]the people of quraish as someone who had betrayed them and betrayed
[13:31]the religion of their forefathers and a danger to their economy and
[13:36]their reputation and they did not accept what he would say about
[13:40]heaven and hell and one god who was immaterial who you could
[13:44]not see but who created the entire universe of course this is
[13:49]when abu lahab his uncle began swearing at the prophet and creating
[13:54]a movement against the prophet and this is when the mission officially
[13:59]began in his public form now one controversial discussion that we must
[14:05]attempt to tackle is the question was the prophet muhammad illiterate because
[14:12]many times we are told that he was illiterate and that this
[14:15]is part of his miracle in that how could someone illiterate in
[14:19]the middle of the desert in the middle of arabia 1 400
[14:23]years ago bring forward something of the quran and in its magnitude
[14:28]and content and style now if you were to speak to any
[14:34]arab arabian poet even modern arabian poets who have some knowledge of
[14:38]the poetry of jahiliyyah they would tell you of the miracle of
[14:43]the quran and the language of the quran many of us are
[14:45]not acquainted to it and it wouldn't need the prophet being illiterate
[14:50]or not illiterate but in any case if we are to consider
[14:55]that prophet muhammad had the keys to the unseen and we are
[14:58]to consider that this quran revealed the word of allah subhana wa
[15:02]ta'ala and we are to consider that the prophet muhammad is the
[15:07]most perfect of all of god's creations and that even his inheritance
[15:11]is the imams the akhil bait we believe that they can speak
[15:15]several different languages if we see that someone like nabi suleiman could
[15:20]speak to the animals and someone like nabi musa could speak to
[15:26]allah directly for us to think that prophet muhammad could not read
[15:33]i would say as many scholars would also say that we are
[15:38]looking at a lacking attribute in the prophet and so we are
[15:43]insinuating that he lacks some sort of perfection now this is not
[15:46]a debate between sunnis and shias because there are several shia scholars
[15:50]who believe that the prophet was illiterate and with all due respect
[15:55]to that opinion there are several other historians and scholars who believe
[15:59]that this is impossible now what we want to do is we
[16:04]will provide the evidence and the conclusion as to why prophet muhammad
[16:07]could not have been illiterate for at least his entire life first
[16:13]of all people go by the slogan and that these phrases are
[16:21]scattered throughout the sacred texts that the prophet who is illiterate however
[16:25]if we look at what omi actually meant in that time the
[16:31]jews were people who had a book and they were all over
[16:36]arabia they were known as kitab whereas the arabs had no book
[16:40]and no prophet and so they were known as people who did
[16:42]not have a book they were not from abu kitab and so
[16:46]the jews called the arabs of the time al-ummiyun and you see
[16:56]how imam sajad alayhi salam refers to the prophet um allah he
[17:05]is mentioning different ethnicities the arab the from the tribe quraish so
[17:10]umi mentions it in the siak in the context of it being
[17:16]an ethnicity above anything else not necessarily meaning that he is illiterate
[17:21]or that all the arabs were illiterate because the arabs many of
[17:24]them could indeed read now if we look towards the narrations there
[17:28]are several narrations that point to the literacy of the prophet muhammad
[17:34]least of all in on the day of hudaibiyah which we'll speak
[17:37]about inshallah in a few chapters when the prophet muhammad himself rubs
[17:40]out his own name or just before he passes away and he
[17:44]tells his companions to give me something by which i may write
[17:48]so you may never go astray after me if he can't read
[17:52]how can he write if he can't read how would he know
[17:56]where his name is and rub it out himself likewise rasulullah was
[17:59]known to have released a prisoner by the condition of him going
[18:04]and teaching 10 people how to read and write how could he
[18:09]value something like literacy so much that he would release prisoners because
[18:12]of it through it yet he himself would not read or would
[18:18]not even exert any effort into learning how to read so we
[18:21]have several narrations alluding to this truth there is one narration in
[18:27]which prophet muhammad is sitting down by the sand and he is
[18:29]crying and he is reciting inna anzal as companions come and say
[18:35]ya rasulallah why are you crying why are you crying so profusely
[18:40]and the prophet says i'm crying because of what my heart and
[18:43]my eyes are seeing right now and they say what is it
[18:50]seeing and so he brings a stick and he begins to write
[18:54]into the sand tennessee in which the angels are descending and he's
[19:08]writing that down into the sand if he couldn't read how could
[19:13]he write in this end and these are all separate narrations so
[19:15]when we look at the life of the prophet and we want
[19:20]to say that he is illiterate the most one can say if
[19:23]he wants to believe that the prophet was illiterate is that the
[19:29]prophet was illiterate up until at least he received the revelation of
[19:35]the quran because when how can the prophet say i can't read
[19:40]either allah has to make him read in that time so that
[19:46]it can be a fair and just order from allah otherwise allah
[19:51]would be asking him to do something that he cannot do as
[19:54]if he was asking me to fly fly and i say i
[19:58]cannot fly and allah orders me to fly of course allah would
[20:00]never order me to fly because i can't fly unless allah gives
[20:03]me the power to fly and i can fly so if allah
[20:07]granted him the power to read at that moment that remains to
[20:11]be seen and it very well could be but it would be
[20:16]unjust for rasulallah to be demanded to read when he could not
[20:19]even read unless allah gave him that gift at that moment or
[20:24]he could from the very beginning read anyway there's no problem in
[20:28]combining them but the most one could say is that he was
[20:32]illiterate up to the time of the revelation but even that may
[20:36]insinuate some knocks some weakness some lacking in his attributes that many
[20:43]would not accept now not long after the batter or the revealing
[20:51]of the quran another great event occurred in the life of the
[20:55]prophet and this is debated in terms of the time and context
[20:59]some believe it was five years after the baather some believe it
[21:04]was eight years after the battle we are by our timeline going
[21:10]to agree with those who believe that chronologically it was when the
[21:13]prophet was 45 years old so it was five years after the
[21:18]batha and this event was the event of israel an event that
[21:25]many muslims until today have a very difficult time grasping because of
[21:32]the world of modernity and the reign of science it is difficult
[21:36]for us to imagine that prophet muhammad went on the journey of
[21:41]israel maharaja a spiritual journey and encountered the heavens and the prophets
[21:47]and even was in the presence of allah yet the quran speaks
[21:54]to us and tells us that if one is indeed a muslim
[21:59]then they have to believe in at least the israe which is
[22:05]the beginning of the journey and this happens around five years after
[22:09]the battle when the prophet is 45 years old and the ayah
[22:16]in the quran allah says glorified be he who went took his
[22:34]servant his slave abd not not the soul of his servant but
[22:41]his servant which is a body and soul movement in the night
[22:49]time from masjid al-haram in mecca to masjid al-aqsa in palestine of
[22:53]course there are differing opinions about it being a completely physical journey
[22:57]or a completely spiritual journey or a physical and spiritual journey what
[23:04]we are claiming is that at least the israe which was the
[23:09]movement of rasulallah in his physical body from mecca to palestine was
[23:15]a physical journey and this is mentioned in the quran however the
[23:21]maharaja is not but the maharaja is known as the completion of
[23:27]what happened after the israel and it occurs whilst the prophet was
[23:32]in palestine after he goes there and he goes through this at
[23:36]the very least spiritual journey however some scholars even believe that this
[23:41]itself was also a physical journey pacing through the laws of physics
[23:48]now if someone is to find a difficult time grasping at least
[23:54]the israel let's leave the maharaja aside for a moment but at
[23:56]least the israel how could he a man randomly in the middle
[24:01]of the night in mecca move to palestine without any modern day
[24:08]technology and this just goes to show the thinking of one who
[24:13]is completely overtaken and has his mind conquered by the world of
[24:16]technology that now we have planes so it makes sense but one
[24:21]thousand four hundred years ago we didn't have a plane so it
[24:23]doesn't make sense yet allah is he was powerful over all things
[24:27]and all things happened through him now if we look even just
[24:33]at the earth itself and the way in which it rotates 1000
[24:36]miles per hour and orbits around the sun 66 000 miles per
[24:41]hour all this movement that we don't feel whilst we are protected
[24:44]yet when we are in a car moving at 100 miles per
[24:47]hour in our own cars we feel unsettled yet on the earth
[24:51]we do not feel it because of we are protected by the
[24:55]layers surrounding the earth this is why there was a miracle creature
[25:01]that was sent to the prophet by the name of al-buraq it
[25:07]is a winged horse it is the way in which he traveled
[25:12]by and if you notice the great prophets of allah subhana tahalla
[25:15]each have a merkab a means of travel the way in which
[25:18]ibrahim travels through the fire and it becomes cold for him the
[25:23]way in which moses travels through his stick which becomes a snake
[25:27]the way in which noah travels through his ship the way in
[25:33]which eunus travels through his whale rasulallah traveled through the burak this
[25:39]winged horse physically from mecca to palestine and as a report that
[25:45]even abu talib realized the prophet was missing from mecca on that
[25:51]night and he ran out and he believed that the quraish may
[25:53]have taken him may have kidnapped him and so he had warned
[25:57]them and threatened them to return him or that he was going
[26:00]to attack them and wouldn't allow them to see the mourning if
[26:03]it was simply a spiritual journey why would abu talib want to
[26:07]threaten the people of croatia in this way thinking that they had
[26:09]kidnapped his nephew it was a physical journey from mecca to palestine
[26:17]in which the barak took rasulallah to where moses had spoken to
[26:27]allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and he took him to bethlehem the birthplace
[26:33]of sunnah and it was almost like a pilgrimage for the prophet
[26:36]going through the footsteps of his predecessors before leading prayer and the
[26:44]maharaja beginning and the beginning of the maharaja he begins to hear
[26:48]the words recited by eve to him of the adhan and this
[26:54]is when the adam was first taught to rasulullah on the maharaja
[26:58]and so after he is now physically in palestine the maharaja begins
[27:03]and rasulullah enters into a completely different dimension and here he begins
[27:11]to travel through different skies and different heavens meeting different states and
[27:18]prophets jibril is guiding him through this journey and rasulullah now is
[27:21]seeing the unseen world he sees the gate keeper of hell and
[27:27]he asks about him and his hideous face and all the angels
[27:32]around him wary of him he sees a figure sitting down on
[27:39]his own with his shoulders drawn forward and his head bent looking
[27:47]sad with a board in his hand not looking left and right
[27:52]and this creature is described as being melting in what he is
[28:01]doing in taking the souls so the prophet muhammad asks ibrahim who
[28:10]is this ibrahim says this is medical malt and so the prophet
[28:14]sees the angel of death and he walks towards the angel of
[28:17]death and he sends his greetings and the angel of death he
[28:22]looks up from his board at rasulullah and greets him and the
[28:28]prophet asks the angel of death about what's happening about what he's
[28:32]seeing about what he's doing and the angel of death says all
[28:40]day all dunya all of the world in the universe is like
[28:42]my hand a coin in the hand of a man i see
[28:47]it in all its sides and i see all the people and
[28:52]i see them the way they which they live their lives and
[28:56]i visit each house five times a day and i constantly take
[29:01]from these people their souls and i notice the people surrounding them
[29:05]how they cry and how they grieve and i tell them don't
[29:11]cry because each and every single one of you will meet me
[29:16]eventually and i keep coming back to visit them every single day
[29:23]here the angel of death points out the truth of this attachment
[29:30]we have to the physical world and there's a reason why this
[29:35]meeting especially was mentioned in the narration of maharaja because death is
[29:41]one of the focal points of the human being's life ironically in
[29:45]that the prophet has said the love of this world is the
[29:53]head of every wrong everything that we do there's a transgression against
[29:59]ourselves against others is from a love of this world the love
[30:02]and greed for money and for power and for fame and reputation
[30:07]and this growth of one's ego to the point that they are
[30:12]completely conquered by the illusion of the dunya however the cure for
[30:18]hubbard dunya is the krulmoth the cure for the love of this
[30:23]world is the remembrance of death because when one remembers their death
[30:28]and remembers that every single one of us is going to die
[30:31]and that every single one whom i think i am attached to
[30:35]right now is a limited being one day won't be in this
[30:40]world then why must i be attached to this person or attached
[30:42]to this dunya the reason why so many of us suffer when
[30:45]we die is because we are so attached to the physical world
[30:48]we know nothing of the spiritual and metaphysical world so as death
[30:53]approaches we are going into the complete and absolute unknown and we
[30:57]don't know what to expect and we fear that we are going
[31:01]to become extinct we are so attached to the physical world or
[31:03]a physical person that leaves us that we are completely conquered when
[31:07]they die or when we are about to die and we are
[31:10]not prepared whereas our religion came to us and prophet muhammad has
[31:14]told us to die before you die that this path was the
[31:21]path to allow us to be ready for this moment of death
[31:23]all these years is you becoming ready for the moment of death
[31:28]in that if you remember death and you realize you're going to
[31:32]end up in a small box underneath the ground and after all
[31:36]the tears are done they leave you and you remain there on
[31:41]your own and all of this reality is the reason why the
[31:45]angel of death is the way that he is in his stance
[31:50]and his perception of the universe and he sees how a person
[31:56]works his entire life in order to gather a sum of wealth
[32:00]only to die and leave it to his inheritance for it to
[32:04]be split and for his children to fight over the inheritance and
[32:07]for the worms to eat the body all of this comes from
[32:12]the remembrance of death that shows you the worthlessness of this dunya
[32:15]and to work for the afterlife but of course imam sajad al-islam
[32:21]comes and he says i run away from you in fear of
[32:28]you but who can i run that can protect me from you
[32:29]i run to my protector who is only you so i run
[32:34]away from you to you and as allah has promised us in
[32:38]the quran in allah those who have transgressed against their souls he's
[32:47]talking to those that maybe now as they hear these words and
[32:51]this remembrance of death feel fear he says do not fear if
[32:56]you have transgressed against your soul because allah subhanahu wa will forgive
[33:01]all sins do not feel despair do not feel that you must
[33:07]give up because of how far you've gone i will always take
[33:09]you back and so it's never too late for us to make
[33:13]amends before the angel of death visits us for the final time
[33:20]then takes rasulallah through the heavens heaven by heaven meeting the different
[33:25]prophets meeting yusuf meeting idris meeting nebiasa meeting musa meeting haroon until
[33:33]finally he meets nabi ibrahim alaihissalam his ancestor his great great grandfather
[33:38]and he sees the rivers of kauthar and he goes and bathes
[33:44]and does russul in it and jabra gives him a very special
[33:51]fruit and he tells him this is the fruit of paradise and
[33:53]you must eat from this fruit and you must spend the night
[33:58]with your wife khadijah and so rasulallah takes from the fruit and
[34:03]eats from the fruit then they reach a stage by which jibrael
[34:10]and his temperament begin to change as they start pacing through the
[34:18]veils ibrahil tells them ya rasulallah i can't go forward anymore the
[34:21]veils 500 veils 500 years between each veil and the light coming
[34:27]from the end is so powerful that jibreel closes his eyes and
[34:31]begins to cry he begins to cry and weep he tells rasulallah
[34:36]to go on without him he can't carry on so rasulullah bewildered
[34:41]by the reaction of ibrahim carries on on his own and as
[34:46]he travels through the veils the light becomes more and more powerful
[34:51]to him that he himself becomes so overtaken and overpowered by this
[34:57]light he closes his eyes but then he says my heart began
[34:59]to gaze upon the light until he reaches here there is nothing
[35:13]except rasulullah and allah subhanahu wa and of course this is not
[35:17]a physical gen and allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is not a physical
[35:22]being though he is in the presence of allah and he is
[35:26]melting in his presence [Music] and seeing with his heart and so
[35:33]he approaches and allah subhanahu wa ta'ala describes the state of rasulullah
[35:39]in this moment [Music] of he was so close so close then
[35:51]this closeness that he was even closer than two bows lengths at
[35:56]the distance of allah by two of those lengths or even closer
[36:01]than this that no one had ever been this close to allah
[36:05]subhanahu wa ta'ala this is the closest anyone has ever been and
[36:09]rasulallah is melting in the presence of allah and he begins to
[36:12]speak to him and asks him ya allah my lord rabbi you
[36:18]gave moses the gift to speak to you and you gave abraham
[36:22]the station of being your friend and what do you give me
[36:28]and allah here speaks directly to rasulallah and says i speak to
[36:32]you as i spoke to moses and i have taken you as
[36:36]a friend as i took abraham as a friend but what i
[36:40]am going to give you i have given to no prophet before
[36:42]you i have given you the fatiha and i have given you
[36:47]the end of this book this quran that no one has ever
[36:52]received and this greatest miracle and i have given you the earth
[36:55]and that your descendants will also lead off to you and then
[37:02]rasulullah sees 12 lights on the arch on the throne of allah
[37:07]and begins to ask about those lights and allah tells him of
[37:12]the lights and tells him of the twelfth light [Music] and that
[37:18]he would be the one to complete and finalize this mission and
[37:23]that he has made the name of the prophet join his own
[37:27]name is me your name and my name will always remain together
[37:40]and your name came from my name so that whenever i am
[37:45]glorified you are also glorified and whenever one wants to say the
[37:48]shahada they do not say my name without saying your name and
[37:51]so rasulallah begins to speak in the narration there's a very long
[37:56]narration by imam assad which tells us of this conversation until finally
[38:00]the prophet says he revealed things to me that i cannot say
[38:03]but then i return he returns to the dimension of the earth
[38:09]and rasulullah then takes the barak and returns back to mecca back
[38:14]into the house of his aunt before fajr and he sees her
[38:20]wake up for salat and he tells her my aunt last night
[38:24]i played maghrib asha with you and now i'm here before you
[38:29]but in between i travel to palestine and i traveled to the
[38:32]heavens and of course she was a muslim but she told him
[38:38]don't say this to the people no one will be able to
[38:41]believe this or accept this but of course rasulallah told the people
[38:43]what he had seen it was now time of the public calling
[38:47]and this was his miracle perhaps the greatest miracle of his life
[38:51]of course the people of quraish did not accept what rasulullah was
[38:55]saying and he even told them that he had seen a caravan
[39:00]that was a few days away from them in mecca and he
[39:04]described the caravan in all its details and even the colors of
[39:08]the camel until the people of quraish saw a few days later
[39:12]this caravan approach and that there was no way the prophet could
[39:16]have known about it approaching had he gone and come back in
[39:20]the same night yet people still disbelieved many muslims at the time
[39:24]left islam because they couldn't believe something like this however many muslims
[39:30]became stronger in faith and many came to the religion because of
[39:34]this great miracle on a final note nine months after is born
[39:50]from the fruit of paradise and it was why ibrahim gave him
[39:56]that fruit and that's why prophet muhammad whenever he missed paradise whenever
[40:01]he missed the scent that he had smelt on maharaja he used
[40:05]to go to fatima and smell her hair and kiss her hands
[40:09]because she herself came from paradise
