[0:15]m [Music] in our last lesson we were shedding light on the
[0:52]last verse ofah Allah says and we said the verse indicates that
[0:58]Allah subhana wa tala has no matches no likes so no one
[1:06]is like Allah he has no matches when it comes to his
[1:09]essence or his attributes or even his actions um we gave a
[1:18]few points regarding the attributes of Allah subhana wa ta'ala and how
[1:24]his attributes are his own Essence whereas whereas with us human beings
[1:28]or the creations of Allah the essence of the creation is one
[1:36]thing and the attribute is something else after explaining the um the
[1:43]verse there was one last word that we wanted to mention mentioned
[1:50]so we'll mention that word and then we'll start with we will
[1:58]have completed the of and begin with so what did say if
[2:09]you remember uh in the tradition that we read the long tradition
[2:16]regarding Imus said that Allah subhanahu waala explained the meaning of when
[2:29]he said [Music] mentioned that if someone understands he'll understand that Allah
[2:42]as in nothing comes from Allah tal and he did not come
[2:49]from anything he did not originate from anything and he'll also understand
[2:55]that Allah hases how um we said previously that previously means the
[3:08]master that is sought for the Fulfillment of the needs so is
[3:16]that being which is completely independent he does not need anyone but
[3:20]everyone else needs him even they need meaning they need Allah subhanahu
[3:30]waala so if Allah originated from anything that would mean he depends
[3:41]on that thing to exist make sense if he depends on that
[3:45]thing to exist it means he needs it and if he needs
[3:49]it then he's no longer a what must be the uh the
[4:06]being that does not need anyone yet everyone else needs him yes
[4:13]the definition of the word not not Allah itself does the word
[4:18]itself imply that absoluteness or for example somebody could seek something from
[4:24]me and then later I could seek something for some from somebody
[4:29]else so just from the L meaning could I be Su in
[4:30]that scenario could you be called perhaps I'd have to see but
[4:40]no you can't you can't be called aad is the one who's
[4:46]absolutely un needy yeah absolutely uny of anything yet everything else needs
[4:53]him also if we understand the meaning of a then we'll know
[4:58]that Allah tal cannot have any children nothing can uh come out
[5:07]of Allah because if something comes out of God then that means
[5:12]it's technically part of God and that would mean that Allah T
[5:17]is divisible it would mean Allah T is divisible if he's divisible
[5:21]it means he's composed of parts and if he's composed of Parts
[5:26]it means he needs his Parts he needs his parts to exist
[5:31]last but not least if we say Allah T has a match
[5:36]Allah T has a like that match doesn't need God because he's
[5:43]like God right so he's on the same level with Godel so
[5:46]just as Allah T is completely independent of everything he's completely independent
[5:53]he does not need anyone that match of God that so-called match
[5:58]will also be independent and will not need Allah so in that
[6:06]case Allah will not be a because we're saying part of the
[6:10]meaning of a is that everything other than Allah depends on him
[6:15]for the Fulfillment of their so again if he has a match
[6:23]that match will not need him will not need Allah that match
[6:26]will be independent completely independent and if he or she whoever that
[6:35]match is is completely independent of God then that means not everything
[6:41]relies on Allah some things do not need Allah and that contradicts
[6:45]the meaning of a this was an interesting point that mentioned in
[7:00]so if we understand then we'll understand that Allah is what he
[7:12]did not come from any anything nothing comes out of God and
[7:21]last but not least he has no matches and no likes so
[7:29]that was the a final point we wanted to mention regarding that
[7:36]being said we'll begin with the of is one of the short
[7:46]chapters in alquran Kim one of the shortest chapters a chapter that
[7:49]consists of what of six verses the beauty or part of the
[7:58]beauty of the Quran is that any chapter in the Quran contains
[8:02]what contains an important message or multiple important messages even if it's
[8:09]a short chapter so each chapter in the Quran is wonderful each
[8:12]chapter contains an important message that we can benefit from in fact
[8:20]an important message that we need what is one of the main
[8:26]messages we find in one of the main messages is to hold
[8:29]on to our faith and not to sacrifice any part of our
[8:37]faith any part of our belief for those who disbelieve as a
[8:45]Believer you might be put under pressure by non-muslims by non-believers and
[8:54]you might be told in one way or another to abandon your
[8:58]belief or abandon part of your belief now if we abandon part
[9:05]of our belief we're technically abandoning what our belief if there's a
[9:11]part of Islam that the non-muslims want me to let go of
[9:16]the non-muslim Muslims want me to disbelieve in if I come forward
[9:23]and disbelieve in that part even though I claim to be believing
[9:27]in the other parts of Islam technically I've I abandoned Islam meaning
[9:33]I've abandoned the the real and the full religion that Allah subhah
[9:39]wa taal wants me to follow so teaches us to um resist
[9:49]any pressure that the non-muslims or the nonbelievers might put us through
[9:56]and not to compromise not to sacrifice our Bel beliefs for anyone
[10:02]especially for the disbelievers and that is a fundamental message if we
[10:10]think about it it's very important for the Muslim to do what
[10:15]to hold on to his faith and not to let go of
[10:16]it not to let go of any part of his faith whether
[10:20]that part pertains to belief such as believing in the Oneness of
[10:26]God believing in Allah's Justice believing in prophethood believing in in imama
[10:30]or it pertains to practices such as upholding prayer abstaining from uh
[10:39]drinking wine abstaining from unlawful relationships Etc as you mentioned last week
[10:50]in multiple prayers in multiple recommended prayers we find that usually when
[10:58]is recited it's recited with what with so it seems that there's
[11:03]a relationship between the two and of course there has to be
[11:07]a relationship between and in one reveals his belief in Allah subhana
[11:16]tala in one reveals that he persists or he will persist at
[11:29]what believing in the truth and one Reveals His disbelief in what
[11:37]in whatever the disbelievers believe in this believing in falsehood is part
[11:51]of believing in the truth if One Believes In the truth but
[11:55]also believes in falsehood or some parts of false Hood his his
[12:02]belief will be flawed the belief that Allah T wants us to
[12:05]hold is the following he wants us to believe in the truth
[12:10]the whole truth and to dis disbelieve in all forms of falsehood
[12:15]believe it or not the musri the polytheists did believe in Allah
[12:20]they did not say Allah does not exist no no they they
[12:24]said Allah T does exist but they also added other so-called God
[12:29]gods so they said there's a God and that's Allah he's the
[12:34]Creator but below him are what are other gods and these are
[12:42]they manage the the Affairs of the universe but they're Gods they
[12:47]don't need they're they're they're un needy of of Allah subhanahu waala
[12:52]at least from certain perspectives or certain angles thus Allah did what
[13:04]Allah refuted their belief he said their belief is wrong yes believing
[13:07]in Allah is is is a must but you have to disbelieve
[13:14]in those so-called gods in those uh Idols that you polytheists worship
[13:20]or used to worship like Etc similar toah was mentioned by in
[13:34]in a good amount of traditions there are many Traditions many uh
[13:42]that speak about and so today in we're going to shed light
[13:47]on multiple Traditions that spoke about to gain more insight uh about
[13:55]its significance and about its importance we'll start first of all with
[14:02]a tradition that mentions the reward or say the effect of reciting
[14:08]with in a mandatory prayer this tradition is in the book of
[14:38]which is a book basically that speaks about Deeds good deeds and
[14:45]the rewards that Allah subhana gives a person for committing these Good
[14:50]Deeds he has another book called and it's the exact opposite it
[14:55]mentions narrations that mentioned the punishments that a person deserves if he
[15:02]commits uh certain sins now today you'll find both of those books
[15:11]uh uh compiled or joined in in one uh in one physical
[15:18]book so he says he mentions the reward of reciting and he
[15:31]mentions the chain of narrators which goes back to so he says
[15:54]that if someone recites and in a mandatory prayer such as what
[16:00]such as prayer such as prayer such as prayer Etc first of
[16:08]all Allah T will forgive him Subhan Allah so this is a
[16:13]means to attain Allah's forgiveness Allah will forgive him the reciter and
[16:19]he'll forgive his parents and he'll forgive his children that and itself
[16:23]is is what is more than enough alhamdulillah but there's more he
[16:30]says what D is basically a book now Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
[16:45]based on the traditions of we understand that Allah uh writes that
[16:52]this person is a sh he's a wretched human being meaning his
[17:00]faith and the hereafter is hellfire and he writes that person is
[17:04]a is a happy human being meaning his fate and the Hereafter
[17:07]is heaven now these writings are sensitive why because they can change
[17:15]today I might be uh Allah T might have written that I
[17:22]am but tomorrow I mess up tomorrow I misbehave and Allah changes
[17:29]the writing and he writes that I what sh that I am
[17:31]wretched and the opposite is true a person might be uh might
[17:39]be wretched sh Allah writes that he's a sh but then the
[17:42]writing is changed Allah changes it because that person does what he
[17:49]repents and he corrects his mistakes so the the IM says if
[17:57]that person if that person's name is written in the book book
[18:01]of The Ash the book that contains the names of those who
[18:07]are wretched his name will be erased and his name will be
[18:14]confirmed or written in the book that contains the names of those
[18:18]who are happy so the fate of the human being will change
[18:25]if someone's fate is Janam his fate will become heaven why because
[18:32]he recited and in a mandatory prayer we're talking of course here
[18:45]about who about the believer about a m about the believer then
[19:01]the IM says meaning Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will will bestow happiness
[19:14]on that person as he lives in this world as he dwells
[19:22]in this world what we understand from this statement is that that
[19:27]person will be following the the right path we don't understand from
[19:34]the statement that he will be um he will he he will
[19:39]be living a life that is free from problems because that usually
[19:42]does not happen especially for a m okay even this Believers when
[19:45]you look at their lives you find out their lives contain problems
[19:48]if someone's a m his life will contain one or multiple problems
[19:57]that's how this dun is made the dun is made in a
[19:58]way where a person goes through uh various kinds of problems some
[20:06]people have health issues right others don't have health issues they're healthy
[20:10]but they have spousal problems some people they're happy and comfortable in
[20:17]their spousal lives but they have um an issue with sustenance as
[20:23]in they their salary is is is low they're not able to
[20:28]acquire a high salary other problems might other people might have problems
[20:32]with their neighbors so on so forth so in general a person's
[20:38]life in this world cannot be completely free from problems especially if
[20:42]he is a m so we understand from the word of the
[20:46]IM what we understand from this word is that Allah will will
[20:53]help that person and will make him without forcing him of course
[20:57]will make him walk on the straight path because that straight path
[21:02]that path is the path which leads to Heaven is the path
[21:10]which leads to Eternal happiness in the Hereafter and on top of
[21:18]everything that the IM mentioned he says when that person dies Allah
[21:23]will will consider him a Shah meaning he'll consider him a a
[21:29]martyr he will receive the reward of a Shahid even if he's
[21:35]not killed in the path of Allah subhana wa tala so when
[21:40]a person fights in defense of Islam in defense of the truth
[21:46]in defense of the Muslim and he's killed by the enemy of
[21:49]Islam as he's defending the truth that person is what he's killed
[21:55]in the path of Allah subhanahu waala that person is what is
[22:00]many people in this world many Believers they're not killed as they're
[22:08]defending the truth but we're told that every believer is what is
[22:13]a Shah every believer receives the reward of a murder here the
[22:19]IM mentions that the person who recites and in one of the
[22:26]mandatory prayers he will be given that reward Allah T will consider
[22:29]him him a Shah when he passes away and when he is
[22:37]resurrected Allah T also considers him a Shah which means that he
[22:51]will hold the status of the of a murder on the day
[22:55]of judgment yes one thing we have to keep in mind is
[23:03]when a person is killed as he is defending the truth he
[23:09]is killed in the path of Allah because he goes through that
[23:12]um that uh experience because he is killed in the path of
[23:19]Allah obviously he will be given a form of compensation that be
[23:25]fits the sacrifice that he made he'll be given a form of
[23:35]compensation by Allah that suits the sacrifice that he made or he
[23:45]performed any questions until now no all right another tradition that I'd
[24:19]like to share with you today is one found in this one
[24:25]along with other narrations indicates uh this narration and other narrations indicate
[24:34]that is one of the greatest chapters ofr we said before that
[24:43]every chapter in the Quran is great but some chapters are greater
[24:46]than others in itself is one of the greatest chapters of the
[24:54]Quran is a very heavy chapter because the tradition I will share
[25:02]with you right now and other Traditions tell us that it is
[25:06]1/4 of so it equates 1/ 14 25% of Quran if you
[25:20]remember we said when we began studying surlas it equates oneir of
[25:26]alquran based on a Hadith equates two3 of the Quran the narration
[25:44]says Mal we said before is is one of the companions of
[25:48]but unfortunately he was not a he was not a a follower
[25:57]of IM Ali nonetheless this one is found says sorry Prophet asked
[26:22]one of his companions one of the uh male companions oh fulan
[26:29]did you get married we know that emphasized a lot on what
[26:35]on marriage and encouraged the Muslim to get married at an early
[26:41]age if possible so the man said no and I don't have
[26:44]anything that I can use to get married as I don't have
[26:49]I don't have wealth or I don't have much wealth that I
[26:52]can use to yet married so the prophet notified him that he
[27:00]was richer than what he assumed he notified him that he was
[27:13]quite Rich why because he knew a bunch of chapters of told
[27:26]him don't you have don't don't don't have as don't you know
[27:32]he said yes I do know it so the the prophet told
[27:36]him is what 1/4 of alran it equates 1/4 of alquran now
[27:45]you might say but you told us earlier that it equates onethird
[27:50]of alquran Kim we say there's no contradiction here some traditions said
[27:54]it equates oneir of Al Quran and this tradition says it equates
[28:00]1/4 of Al Quran there's no contradiction because ultimately um 13 of
[28:08]the Quran covers what 1/4 of Quran it's like when I tell
[28:22]you for example two people attended the class today and in reality
[28:27]10 people attended you tell you tell me what but 10 people
[28:29]attended I say yeah the two who attended are part of the
[28:36]10 I didn't say only two people attended So based on this
[28:45]Hadith the prophet sallu alai uncovers part of the greatness ofas but
[28:50]not its he doesn't uncover the the the the full reality pertaining
[28:56]to its greatness so he says it is one4 of Quran he
[29:06]told him don't don't you have don't you know he said yes
[29:11]I do know it so that the prophet told them it is
[29:18]1/4 of alquran it equates 1/4 of alquran don't you have don't
[29:28]you know told him yes I do know it so the prophet
[29:30]said as well it is 1/4 of then he said so he
[29:43]commanded that companion to get married three times one might say but
[29:49]what does this have to do with marriage as in what can
[29:51]this person do with these of alquran what do you think who
[30:00]can tell me to who for example you're close he can get
[30:23]married with these by doing what by teaching his wife the we
[30:27]know that when someone gets married the man gives the wife a
[30:34]dowy which is like a gift given to her uh in um
[30:39]uh when when when they get married when she and her husband
[30:47]get married so the dowy doesn't have to be uh a bunch
[30:52]of bills cash and coins the D can be something that you
[31:01]teach to your wife so the doy of a man could be
[31:07]for example teaching his wife Arabic suppose that she doesn't know Arabic
[31:11]so he they agree that the DAR will be that he teaches
[31:15]her Arabic it could also be teaching her Quran the Prophet sallallah
[31:21]alaih The Prophet was beyond brilliant he was the the embodiment of
[31:31]brilliance he would encourage his companions to get married and to make
[31:37]their Diaries teaching their wives whatever they know of alran by doing
[31:44]that the prophet sallallahu alaih was hitting two birds with one stone
[31:48]as they say number one he was um facilitating the issues or
[31:55]the Affairs of marriage he was simplifying marriage to an and number
[32:01]two he was uh he was making the Muslim more aware of
[32:09]what of alquran he was connecting them more to alquran Kim ultimately
[32:13]when this man and that lady get married and then the man
[32:17]teaches his wife Quran the man ising himself of what he knows
[32:24]from the book of Allah and we're all in need of what
[32:29]of of we're in need of reminders we're always in need of
[32:33]things that remind us of Allah subhana waala of of the truth
[32:36]because this world is a dangerous world it's a tricky world it's
[32:43]a world that is filled with with holes with traps and so
[32:47]we're always in need of what of reminders to uh continue following
[32:55]the the right path then again when he teaches his wife for
[32:59]example or or or other chapters that lady will be learning what
[33:07]will be learning alran so the Muslim gradually will become more aware
[33:14]of what the Quran says and will be more connected to the
[33:20]book of Allah subhanahu waala and that my friends is something that
[33:25]we are in deep need of today today in our day and
[33:29]age many Muslim uh have detached themselves from alran we need to
[33:39]reattach ourselves to the holy book we need to read the book
[33:43]understand it and last but not least Implement ALR so that's one
[33:53]one point we can understand from this narration the prophet is telling
[33:57]him all right you don't have money or you have a little
[33:59]amount of money who says that you can't you can't get married
[34:03]if if you only have a little amount of money you can
[34:05]get married in the dictionary of Muhammad s alai you can get
[34:13]married and poverty should not prevent you from getting married so he
[34:18]says uhet uh off topic but uh what's the Shia view of
[34:37]Mal the man was not a sh he was not a follower
[34:41]of of IM Ali if he's not a follower of technically an
[34:53]is is going against certain teachings ofam correct Allah commanded the nation
[35:00]which includes of course the companions to follow IM Ali to believe
[35:07]in IM Ali so an unfortunately disobeyed and disobeyed Allah by not
[35:15]following and hence U similar to anyone who disobeys Allah Allah will
[35:24]hold him accountable for what he did in our in our belief
[35:36]the companions of are judged by Allah just as any other human
[35:40]being is judged by Allah yes they had the honor of being
[35:43]his companions which is beautiful but uh that does not mean that
[35:52]if they disobey Allah or did they disobey simply because they were
[36:00]the companions ofas Allah that Disobedience will be what will be forgiven
[36:04]by Allah on the contrary Allah tells us that everyone needs to
[36:08]follow his commands and everyone needs to follow the commands of sallam
[36:13]and if someone disobeys God if someone disobeys the prophet whoever that
[36:19]someone may be uh he will be held accountable for his deeds
[36:24]where does Allah say this in multiple multiple parts of the Quran
[36:29]one of which is right in the name of Allah the beneficent
[36:33]the merciful I swear by time where a specific era surely mankind
[36:41]is in loss meaning All Humans lose and that that includes who
[36:45]the companions except for those who believe meaning they believe in the
[36:51]truth and perform Good Deeds and they uh uh advise one another
[37:03]to adhere to truth and advise one another to adhere the patience
[37:16]we also have a narration by stating that uh that by or
[37:28]imak they're both one night stating that is 1/4 of the Quran
[37:34]and it states that when im would recite he would he would
[37:41]say once he finishes the chapter you would say that twice I
[37:56]worship Allah Tal only now one question which comes to mind is
[38:06]uh why is it 1/4 of alquran Kim why in there is
[38:19]a possibility that is presented by the author and that is Perhaps
[38:24]Perhaps the narration said equates 1/4 of the Quran because 1/4 of
[38:34]the Quran revolves around around facing the disbelievers and the pthe ists
[38:44]meaning facing their beliefs and refuting their beliefs and that issue was
[38:57]summarized in what in Surah so again 1/4 of the Quran revolves
[39:08]around what around facing the beliefs of the disbelievers of the of
[39:14]the pists and the disbelievers resisting their beliefs and not giving into
[39:21]their demands that issue was summarized where in so it summarizes 1/4
[39:35]of the holy book the answer is nice it's a decent answer
[39:39]but perhaps were pointing to something else perhaps this is part of
[39:51]the meaning of the narration that said equates 1/4 of alquran but
[39:57]there could be other meanings as well there could be other reasons
[40:01]in better terms other reasons why the tradition said it equates one4
[40:06]of alran yes when one that to recite it is to get
[40:17]of reting one of the whole Quran so maybe that is also
[40:23]implied here when he's saying of the Quran s that's possible yes
[40:29]yes yeah so if you recite it four times you'd be reciting
[40:39]the whole Quran that's what you mean yeah it's possible good good
[40:49]okay let me see how much time we have left okay we'll
[40:56]stop here alhamdulillah m
