[0:00]foreign [Laughter] send it to you tomorrow alhamdulillah alhamdulillah is foreign respected
[2:27]brothers and sisters I congratulate you all on the auspicious birth of
[2:34]Imam the eighth Imam whose birth was on the eleventh of the
[2:44]just a few days ago and Imam was born in the year
[2:58]148.
[2:54]after Hijra just a few months after the martyrdom of his grandfather
[3:04]Imam and this is why there's a Hadith where Imam Assad that
[3:08]he says I wish I had met my grandson Imam because passed
[3:15]away and two months later ma'am and two months later as the
[3:24]or one month later as the birth of Imam there are several
[3:35]important things regarding his life one of them right now the mausoleum
[3:39]the visiting place the visiting Shrine of Imam is one of the
[3:47]largest if not the largest Mausoleum and place of worship on Earth
[3:52]even at some point it was larger than Masjid Al Haram and
[3:58]Masjid and Nabi the shrine of Imam and this is a sign
[4:03]this is a sign that Imam over 1 000 years after his
[4:11]death Imam Radha is so popular and visited by millions of people
[4:16]every year where they have to keep expanding and growing the shrine
[4:21]of Imam Ali abnormal now we have a specific insistence Hadith insisting
[4:30]the shias and the followers of the al-bait and the ziara on
[4:37]the visitation of Imam in fact some of our Scholars like who
[4:44]passed away he says that even the ziara of Imam is perhaps
[4:50]greater in reward than the ziara of Imam Hussain and we all
[4:53]know how important the ziara of Imam Hussain is and there's a
[4:57]reason behind this the reason is that the one who visits Imam
[5:03]is an ifna ashari follower of the bait meaning if you believe
[5:10]in Imam that means you believe in Imam al-jawad and you believe
[5:13]in Imam alhadi and you believe in Imam alaskari and you believe
[5:16]in Imam al-mahdi but the one who visits Imam Hussain are they
[5:23]necessarily meaning does that does this person necessarily mean that they're a
[5:29]follower of all the imams of the al-bait no there are people
[5:32]who after for example imams Imam Zain Al abedin instead of following
[5:37]they followed Zaid and they became known as the zaidi shias there
[5:44]were people that after the death of Imam instead of following Imam
[5:49]they followed Ismail and they became known as the Ismael and then
[5:56]there was another group that emerged during the life of Imam by
[6:04]the name of al-wakatha where when Imam passed away he had some
[6:11]Representatives some they were deputies of the Imam when the Imam was
[6:16]in prison he dies in the prison he had some one of
[6:18]them a man by the name of Ali IBN ABI Hamza any
[6:23]this man when Imam al-qadam passed away he did not want to
[6:29]pass on the homes that people had given him he did not
[6:32]want to pass it on to Imam so what did he say
[6:38]he said Imam al-qadam is still an Imam and he's in he's
[6:42]an occultation the same thing that is said about Imam right now
[6:46]he said he is and he refused to accept the Imam of
[6:53]Imam and this began a sect a ferca by the name of
[6:56]al-wattatha meaning that they stopped Imam al-qadam and they refused to follow
[7:02]Imam of course there were many debates between them and the mamarada
[7:08]during the life of Imam Radha and this sect it fell apart
[7:11]during the life of Imam Radha and many of those people they
[7:17]went back to following and believing in Imam now my dear brothers
[7:26]and sisters we constantly we often remember the imams of the bait
[7:30]someone might come and say what's the big deal every year you
[7:33]guys remember these imams every year you remember these individuals on their
[7:37]birth date on the death anniversary you constantly remind yourself and remember
[7:42]these imams why do we remember the imams why do we talk
[7:48]about the imams see what makes the imamsalam different from all of
[7:57]the other Scholars there were many virtuous there were many good people
[8:01]during the lives of the imams but what makes the imams of
[8:04]the Arabic different is that they were appointed by Allah the same
[8:09]way the prophets were chosen and appointed by God and when they
[8:15]were appointed by God they had certain characteristics and qualifications that made
[8:20]them leaders not only during their time but leaders until today until
[8:27]today we have to take them as Role Models until today we
[8:30]are in need of the imams to learn from their lives to
[8:36]take lessons from the lives of the imams of the alibate one
[8:39]of the first signs that distinguished the imams of the Salam from
[8:44]anyone else was the knowledge of the imams the knowledge that's it
[8:48]right now if you want to follow someone if you want to
[8:53]take someone as a role model what's the first thing you look
[8:55]for you look for knowledge who do we follow after rasulullah there's
[9:00]many people many sahaba but a smart person will go towards the
[9:06]one who has the most knowledge and this is why we follow
[9:09]him because Imam Ali in everyone accepts that he was the most
[9:15]knowledgeable after rasulullah said about him I am the city of knowledge
[9:26]and the Ali is the gate to that City and the imams
[9:31]of the Allah in any time during their time they were the
[9:35]most knowledgeable meaning during the time of Imam al-hussein he was the
[9:39]most knowledgeable person during his era and then Imam he was the
[9:44]most knowledgeable and they would prove their knowledge they would show their
[9:53]knowledge Allah says in the Quran they guide by the order of
[10:01]Allah and they have been given Knowledge from God the knowledge of
[10:04]the imams is different from my knowledge and your knowledge we go
[10:08]to school and we learn their knowledge is given to them by
[10:12]Allah he proved his knowledge one of the ways in which he
[10:21]proved his knowledge was people they would ask him questions they would
[10:25]ask him the most difficult of questions would be able to answer
[10:32]them the same way his father answered the same way his grandfather
[10:34]Imam sadak and his great-grandfather Imam al-baqar and all of the imams
[10:41]of the adult bait they would all answer the questions and the
[10:46]knowledge of Imam was tested when he became the Crown Prince there
[10:53]was the Islamic caliphate was the caliph he made Imam to be
[11:00]his Crown Prince he appointed him he forced the Imam to be
[11:04]in a position of political power now the imams of the al-bit
[11:07]they were never in position of political power since the time of
[11:11][Music] was 20 years 17 years of them he was in Medina
[11:22]but the last three years of his life the caliph the king
[11:28]at the time he summons the Imam to come to qurasan this
[11:31]is why Imam is buried in mashad in eastern part of Iran
[11:36]right now why because that was the capital of the Abbasi government
[11:41]at the time so when the Caleb he brings the Imam he
[11:44]would invite the top Scholars the top Scholars he would invite them
[11:51]and he wanted deep inside he did not want the Imam to
[11:54]show his knowledge he wanted to kind of humiliate the Imam so
[12:00]he would bring the top Scholars so he brings the person who
[12:03]is equivalent to the Pope the leader of the Christians at the
[12:07]time the leader of the Jews at the time the leader of
[12:09]the zoroastrians all of the religions he's a political leader he could
[12:12]bring anyone he wants he would bring them and he would tell
[12:17]them ask questions and they would ask difficult questions would be able
[12:23]to answer them very easily one day one and this is a
[12:28]beautiful Hadith one of the companions of Imam Radha he comes to
[12:31]him he tells him my master I'm very worried he tells him
[12:35]why are you worried he says because he brought the jatalik the
[12:40]the leader of the Christians to debate with you so how are
[12:46]you going to debate with him right now if I were to
[12:48]debate with a Muslim you use the Quran you use the Hadith
[12:53]you use this and that a new debate with a Muslim but
[12:55]how do you debate with someone who doesn't even believe in the
[12:59]Quran how do you believe how do you debate with someone who
[13:01]doesn't believe in rasulullah so he tells them what are you going
[13:07]to do the the companion of Imam was very nervous tells him
[13:09]what are you going to do he tells him I will debate
[13:14]them using their own books that I'm in the session there's hundreds
[13:17]of people sinning he has the Bible memorized and he uses their
[13:24]own books and their own scriptures and he proves that he is
[13:28]the most knowledgeable of the individuals at that time that man the
[13:33]Christian man he tells him do you believe in Jesus a Christian
[13:39]man he tells him do you believe in Jesus and he's the
[13:41]someone at the caliber of the Pope the highest figure in Christianity
[13:45]at that time he tells him he tells him do you believe
[13:48]in Jesus tells him yes of course we believe in Jesus the
[13:53]Quran teaches us to love and respect and Revere Jesus chapter 19
[13:57]in the Quran and the name of Jesus is mentioned many times
[14:01]in the Quran he tells him what Imam tells him we believe
[14:06]in Jesus and we love Jesus but we believe that rasulullah Prophet
[14:10]Muhammad is greater than Jesus the man says why how could you
[14:15]believe someone is greater than Jesus Jesus was the greatest person tells
[14:19]him we believe Jesus is great we believe Prophet Muhammad is greater
[14:24]because he used to worship God more than anyone else right away
[14:29]that man he said no no how can you say Jesus no
[14:34]one worshiped more than Jesus Jesus used to worship day and night
[14:37]and he used to constantly worship tells him who did Jesus worship
[14:43]the man he said Jesus worshiped God then how do you say
[14:50]he's God how do you say he's the son of God when
[14:53]he used to worship how could someone worship their father or how
[14:56]could someone who's a god worship another God that means they're not
[15:01]God so Imam in front of hundreds of people he uses this
[15:06]argument and he made that man accept that Jesus used to worship
[15:09]and the fact that he used to worship means he is not
[15:15]God and this is the wittiness and the clever argument of Imam
[15:21]of course everyone recognized the knowledge of Imam on his way to
[15:28]harassan when he was going from Madina to harassan he passed by
[15:31]hundreds of cities hundreds of cities and the people the Muslims of
[15:38]the time they used to these people they had not seen rasulullah
[15:41]they had not seen anyone who is a representative of God so
[15:48]they wanted to see someone who's the grandson of rasulullah so he
[15:51]passed by a city a town by the name of naishabur it's
[15:57]close to mashad he passed by it and Hadith says that thousands
[16:01]thousands of scribes and Scholars they were out waiting on the road
[16:07]on the path where the Imam is going to pass and they
[16:11]they have their pen and their paper in their hand and they're
[16:15]waiting for the Caravan of the Imam to pass and when the
[16:21]Imam passes they tell him please this is the first time seeing
[16:27]someone who is the descendants of rasulullah so for them this was
[16:30]a big shock and the Hadith says that when some people saw
[16:33]Imam Radha they began to cry and they began to faint when
[16:38]seeing Imam so they saw him and then they tell him tell
[16:43]us a Hadith from your grandfather rasulullah so he tells them I
[16:47]heard from my father musal kadam who heard from his father jaffar
[16:54]Assad who heard from his father Muhammad al-baqar who heard from his
[16:58]father zainal abedin who heard from his father who heard from who
[17:04]heard from rasulullah who heard from who heard from God it tells
[17:11]him he tells them the Hadith and what is that Hadith the
[17:17]Hadith is Hadith from Allah this is the words of God what
[17:32]is it anyone who says it means there's no deity there's no
[17:38]Lord there's no God that is worthy of being worshiped other than
[17:45]Allah it is My Sanctuary whoever says enters into the sanctuary of
[17:55]God and whoever enters into the sanctuary of God then this person
[17:59]will be safe from the torment from the adab of Allah on
[18:04]the day of judgment and this is what differentiates a Muslim from
[18:08]a non-muslim when you say that's why identifies you as a Muslim
[18:12]and that's what separates you on the day of judgment between the
[18:17]Muslim and the kafir the one who says so this is why
[18:21]we have to remind ourselves to always say to always say the
[18:25]shahada was about to move and then he brings his head out
[18:35]of the Caravan once again and he tells them it's very easy
[18:46]to say this is why on the death bed what's expected from
[18:50]a person to say Allah is the easiest form of thicker it's
[18:57]easier than for example that requires more energy more lip movement doesn't
[19:07]require anything it's easy to say however it's heavy and it has
[19:14]many conditions has many conditions and I am one of the conditions
[19:18]of what does this mean this means that you have to accept
[19:24]the imams you have to accept rasulullah you have to believe in
[19:28]the full message and that is what will identify you as a
[19:32]real and true devoted Muslim so my dear brothers and sisters he
[19:38]stands out from his knowledge second the manners these are two things
[19:48]that make the imams of the Albert stand out from everyone else
[19:54]in society there was a a man who was a general in
[19:57]the army of Haroon he's in prison and Imam he along with
[20:04]the family of Imam al-qadam and his brothers and his children they
[20:11]are in the House of Imam in Medina one of his generals
[20:16]Imam al-qadam is in prison now Imam has either passed away or
[20:21]not passed away this General by the name of al-jaludi he goes
[20:24]to Madina and he has direct orders to loot the house of
[20:31]Imam meaning take everything out of the house of Imam look how
[20:34]the imams of the Albert were persecuted we cry for Imam Al
[20:39]Hussain but all of the imams of the al-bid they were persecuted
[20:41]this General he wants to come in with his soldiers to come
[20:46]and take everything out of the house of Imam he comes out
[20:49]he tells him wait we have women we have children in the
[20:53]house why do you want to bring your soldiers in what do
[20:55]you need he says I have orders that I have to take
[21:00]everything everything no piece of jewelry no piece of extra garment he
[21:04]goes in the house and he tells the woman he tells them
[21:09]the soldiers they want to take everything so all of the women
[21:11]in the in the family of Imam they took out all of
[21:16]their jewelry their extra clothing whatever they had on the Hadith says
[21:19]they used to have to wait in line so that they could
[21:23]pray so that they could be fully covered in order to pray
[21:26]these are the women of the family of Imam now subhanallah things
[21:33]changed Imam we mentioned 17 years he was in Medina the last
[21:37]three years of his life he becomes the Crown Prince harun dies
[21:42]his son moon comes to power and he brings next to him
[21:44]now Imam is the Crown Prince people are coming to say salaam
[21:49]and people are praising him and there's a coin that is made
[21:52]that has his name on it so one of the men who's
[21:56]coming he has to come and give allegiance to Imam is that
[21:58]man jaludi the same man who persecuted Imam jaludi he comes Moon
[22:05]he knew of the story he knew what jaludi had done and
[22:08]the crimes that jaludi had committed against when jaludi enters into the
[22:18]room he tells Moon next to him he tells him by my
[22:21]right upon you please don't don't punish him for what he did
[22:31]this is the man that did this and that to us I
[22:35]want you to punish him so before he enters he yells he
[22:39]says by the rights of your father upon you harun don't listen
[22:42]to what this man is saying subhanallah you see some people they
[22:47]have a pure heart and other people they don't have a pure
[22:52]heart Moon he tells him he told me that I should not
[22:54]punish you but you're telling me by the rights of my father
[22:57]not to listen to him so I'm not going to listen to
[22:59]him and I'm going to punish you for what you did Salaam
[23:05]was the Crown Prince he used to sit they used to bring
[23:09]the food for him imagine you're not you're the Crown Prince of
[23:12]yesterday we all saw what happens when the Crown Prince gets married
[23:17]and all of the all of the luxurious lifestyle and all of
[23:20]these things Imam is not like that he used to sit and
[23:25]eat and then he used to invite the cook and the servant
[23:29]and the person at the door and the guards and everyone he
[23:31]would tell them come and eat with me and he used to
[23:35]sit on the floor and eat with them these are the salaam
[23:38]there was a man by the name of Ibrahim Abbas he says
[23:47]he says I never heard or saw anyone greater than Abul Hassan
[24:01]he says never in my life he used to always be with
[24:06]the Imam he says never in my life I heard him say
[24:11]some foul language or something harsh towards anyone I never saw him
[24:25]break someone's talk you know sometimes someone's talking and you interrupt this
[24:29]is a bad habit the person has an idea the person has
[24:34]something they're saying and they get interrupted even though his talk is
[24:39]the most important talk he would never interrupt anyone while they're speaking
[24:44]and he never rejected anyone anytime anyone would ask him for anything
[24:53]he would answer him he Praises him he says I never saw
[25:07]him show any sign of disrespect to anyone this is Imam and
[25:10]he says Imam used to read the Quran once every three days
[25:16]some of us three years passed and we haven't opened the Quran
[25:21]once every three days so he used to say Imam used to
[25:27]say if I want to read the Quran in a shorter time
[25:30]span I can he says I could read it in one day
[25:34]if I wanted to but I read it in three days because
[25:36]every verse in the Quran I open it I think about it
[25:41]this is God's message to me Allah is speaking to me what
[25:42]is Allah trying to tell me he says because I do in
[25:46]the Quran that's why it's taking three days if I wanted to
[25:49]read it faster I could have read it faster foreign saying foreign
[27:39]my dear brothers and sisters why do we remember the imams of
[27:47]the al-bait why does the Quran give us why does the Quran
[27:51]give us examples of prophets of individuals righteous individuals that must be
[27:59]remembered Allah talks about Ibrahim and Musa and Isa and many of
[28:03]the prophets of Allah one thing that is in common with all
[28:10]of these individuals whether there are prophets or imams is that every
[28:15]single one of them was tested and went through a difficult trial
[28:19]in their life Ibrahim was tested Musa was tested Ayub was tested
[28:24]Allah was tested Jesus was tested and the imams of the island
[28:27]mate they were all tested and the reason why the Quran gives
[28:32]us these stories the reason why we are remembering the bait is
[28:35]so that we can take lessons from these individuals so that when
[28:42]we are tested we will also know how to deal with the
[28:45]challenges of our times my dear brothers and sisters we are going
[28:48]through challenges the same way Ibrahim went through challenges some of us
[28:53]are just not aware that we're being tested some of us are
[28:57]just totally oblivious of the fact that we're in a test we
[29:02]think it's just La La Land and you're you're just having fun
[29:04]and there's no test whatsoever no we're all we're being tested as
[29:09]well and it becomes very dangerous when you don't know that you're
[29:13]in a test you might be failing the test and you don't
[29:15]even realize you're in a test now if someone realizes they're in
[29:18]the test and they're failing maybe they will do something to make
[29:21]it better but if you don't even know you're totally oblivious of
[29:24]the fact that you're in a test then it becomes difficult my
[29:28]dear brothers and sisters the reason I bring this up is because
[29:33]right now today is the second day of June June is what
[29:38]pride month right now you go to the schools you go to
[29:44]the universities you turn on the cartoon you go shopping wherever you
[29:52]go you're going to be reminded because there's this agenda to try
[29:57]to constantly remind you that it's pride month and you need to
[30:00]accept this and you need to acknowledge it and you need to
[30:06]join this bandwagon and if you don't then you're going to be
[30:08]canceled then you are the wrong then you are the one who
[30:12]are you're the one who's in the wrong right now you see
[30:18]the pride flag wherever you go and my dear brothers and sisters
[30:21]my message is not to the non-muslims today some people they come
[30:24]and say you Muslims you want to come and tell other people
[30:27]how to live their lives let them do whatever they want my
[30:30]messages to the Muslims my message is to my dear brothers and
[30:35]sisters in Iman because I have a religious obligation and we all
[30:39]have a religious obligation to speak out today what's very sad is
[30:46]that many Muslims are falling victim to this pride and this so-called
[30:51]tolerance and acceptance of deviant Behavior my dear brothers and sisters Islam
[30:56]teaches us to be tolerant I am tolerant with people who are
[31:00]different from me but I'm not going to be tolerant of an
[31:06]agenda that's coming and trying to have me conform to that ideology
[31:10]to that mindset especially if that mindset is different and contradicting and
[31:17]against my beliefs today there are some Muslims they say if we
[31:22]we want to assimilate into society and in order to assimilate then
[31:28]we have to accept everything that's out there is this a correct
[31:31]mentality you have to accept everything in order to be accepted of
[31:36]course not you be you you be proud of what you have
[31:39]be proud of your beliefs be proud of your identity be proud
[31:43]of your faith and be let other people do whatever they want
[31:46]but their ideas you have to join the bandwagon you have to
[31:51]put a on your icon you have to put the rainbow flag
[31:53]you have to wear something you have to show support and then
[31:57]therefore you're going to be a person who's assimilated an accepted in
[32:00]society and that's not reality that's not true do I expect someone
[32:05]to pray with me and fasten Ramadan and and go to Hajj
[32:10]with me no I'm not I'm telling you you want to be
[32:12]a non-muslim do what you want and let me do what I
[32:16]want but here there are some Muslims that are falling prey to
[32:19]this ideology and Allah speaks about this in the Quran should I
[32:28]tell you about those who are the law they they do Amal
[32:32]they do a lot of good deeds but they're losing everything they
[32:46]do a lot of they do a lot of things in this
[32:50]life but they think what they're doing is good but in fact
[32:55]if it's contradicting to Faith if it's contradicting to beliefs then it
[32:59]is now my dear brothers and sisters we're not going we're not
[33:15]going around telling people live how you live your lives we're just
[33:18]telling us ourselves that we need to hold on to our faith
[33:24]and we could we should not accept deviant behaviors we should not
[33:29]accept deviant acts you know just in 1973 according to the DSM
[33:35]which is a book on all types of mental health disorders before
[33:38]1973 homosexuality was regarded as a pathological illness a mental illness now
[33:45]it's not only not an illness but it's something that is pushed
[33:52]on everyone else right now the gender theory that you it's a
[33:55]theory some someone came up with this Theory does this mean I
[33:58]have to accept it gender fluidity meaning one day you could be
[34:02]a guy one day you want to be a girl one day
[34:03]you want to be a cat one day you want to be
[34:06]anything and this is this is harmful this is dangerous if someone
[34:10]walks in and this person is sick instead of treating this person
[34:14]what is being imposed on everyone is that you have to accept
[34:19]this person and you have to allow this person to do whatever
[34:21]they want my dear brothers and sisters we Muslims we need to
[34:25]be more resilient we need to hold our ground more and we
[34:29]need to identify with our faith with our religion with our values
[34:35]my values I have my own values why should I go and
[34:37]uphold someone else's values be proud of your own your own faith
[34:42]and your own teachings my dear brothers and sisters I'll conclude with
[34:46]this Hadith from Allah says he says how would you be if
[35:10]your woman have become corrupted and your men have become meaning they've
[35:15]deviated From the Path the right path and you will see this
[35:23]and you don't say anything you don't do America if you don't
[35:25]say this is wrong and this is right and joining the good
[35:30]and forbidding the evil you don't do that the Muslims they got
[35:34]shocked is this really going to happen we will actually reach that
[35:43]state he tells them it will be even worse than that and
[35:47]then they tell him what he says he says how would you
[35:57]be when you do Amor belmunkar meaning you tell people to do
[36:01]the wrong and when you see someone doing something right you say
[36:05]no no don't do that be quiet don't talk when I hate
[36:09]somebody we're actually going to reach that state he tells them yes
[36:18]and even worse than that they tell him what he says he
[36:28]says how will you be when you will reach a time that
[36:33]you will see the munkar the wrong as this is the good
[36:35]this is good this is healthy and when you see someone doing
[36:40]something good you will you will see it as something wrong you
[36:42]will start wanting to be away from the one who's doing good
[36:48]my dear brothers and sisters we have to be very careful this
[36:52]is we have to hold on to our identity we have to
[36:54]hold on to our faith we have to make sure that our
[36:59]children and future Generations are also holding on to their identity and
[37:03]to their faith my dear brothers and sisters the last point I
[37:05]wanted to mention we have very good news and that is that
