[115:17]muhammad wa ali muhammad this very short tonight is about the salawat

[116:27]allah muhammad i muhammad the importance of the salawat and really to

[116:34]know the secrets of being nearer to allah and i will say

[116:40]why the secrets because one of the of alfaan sheikh muhammad taqi

[116:47]bajat he said i searched and searched i searched and searched and

[116:57]i never found any deed better than muhammad so in this very

[117:12]short time twenty minutes i will go for few few hadiths to

[117:16]know the importance of doing salawat allah muhammad alaihi alaihi wa sallam

[117:28]we're going to say a lot of salawat with because this is

[117:32]the night of inshaallah and you will know it is like the

[117:37]key of approaching allah in this night the prophet said there is

[117:48]no dua except there is a curtain a hajj which is stopping

[117:54]it from going to allah subhanahu wa ta'ala until you do salawat

[118:12]because if you do that salawat this is the prophet saying the

[118:21]hijab will be open the curtain will be open and the dua

[118:27]will reach whatever whatever dua you're doing if it doesn't start with

[118:38]allah muhammad is doubt that that dua will reach allah subhanahu wa

[118:45]ta'ala this is very important to remember next hadith from imam ali

[118:52]ibn musar allah muhammad i have all these resources here if you

[119:02]want to know from which book from which that you can see

[119:05]me later on then i pass them to you imam radda al

[119:09]islam said this is very important some people shaytan you play with

[119:14]them and say you have so many sins you think allah will

[119:16]forgive you look this is imam raza summarizing everything the one who

[119:27]cannot do whatever he have to do in order to wipe his

[119:32]sins this is very dangerous situation isn't it that mean that person

[119:36]is so sinful whatever he does he cannot wipe his sin for

[119:41]this person he says the salawat will destroy the sins completely this

[120:26]is what he's saying muhammad always recite allah muhammad because this is

[120:42]the reason why allah will accept your dua the prophet said and

[120:56]he was talking about the of shahr ramadan the the benefit of

[121:02]the fasting of the month of ramadan and the position of the

[121:05]month of ramadan so this is within the time of the month

[121:08]of ramadan the prophet said those who increase and keep saying salawat

[121:19]and send them to me his scale on the day of judgment

[121:26]will be heavy in a day when the scales are light and

[121:35]you need that extra bit in order to decide to go to

[121:39]jannah the secret is you keep increasing salatah allah muhammad muhammad just

[121:52]to divert little bit some came here many time who then studied

[121:59]in hausa and that and i remember i when i finished the

[124:59]i i couldn't remember any i was so busy in my mind

[125:13]excite dua i forget do you know what imam told him he

[125:20]said no one have take said anything from his mouth better what

[125:31]than what you have said that mean that when you enter the

[125:38]home is equivalent to any dua when you leave home and you

[125:42]say allah equivalent to any dua said and this is similar to

[126:00]the hadith of the prophet he says every dua there is a

[126:06]curtain above him stopping it from reaching there confirmed by the prophet

[126:16]now the imams but here it is very important somebody made a

[126:22]made a mistake simple mistake a companion of imam saddak by the

[126:30]name of sabahabnasiyab my my apology this is the hadith after this

[126:46]hadith is from sabahabnasiyab he said imam saddiq told him imam saddiq

[127:01]telling his companion shall i teach you something that will keep your

[127:06]face away from the heat of jahannam not jahannam itself no you

[127:14]don't even feel the heat the quran allah described in the day

[127:19]of judgment can be heard by years distance the breathing of jahannam

[127:27]the heat of jahannam people will feel it imam saying shall i

[127:34]teach you something it's very important to learn shall i teach you

[127:39]something that you will not feel that heat of jahannam he said

[127:47]the imam said once you hear the adhan of after that after

[127:54]the adhan say muhammad 100 times this is the barakah of the

[128:12]salawat don't take don't think what we do is simple or little

[128:20]with allah subhanahu wa ta'ala this is the weight of salawat and

[128:25]this is the hadith when when i said that somebody done small

[128:29]mistakes imam aman and the name was not mentioned in in the

[128:36]book called maybe in as another resource maybe it's mentioned but i

[128:43]couldn't find it aman said to imam saddiq when he was talking

[128:49]to him he mentioned this he said muhammad not ali muhammad he

[128:57]said muhammad imam saddak alaihi salaam stopped him he said you hada

[129:08]o man you have narrowed thing with us you have limited your

[129:16]tawa you did not include everybody don't you know is only five

[129:33]then what should i say imam said and this really what made

[129:48]me happy when i was reading this that mean we are all

[129:55]the imams we are because we are and our soul the the

[130:16]paste of our soul is mixed with the of allah muhammad because

[130:23]it is confirmed that shi'at al al bayt are created from that

[130:28]mud dust and water but with it there are noor of muhammad

[130:37]that's why that's why he said everybody will be included from all

[130:53]shia the prophet said this is important because nobody is everybody depending

[131:09]on the level of iman and that maybe our is different maybe

[131:14]everybody have little bit of maybe in his heart being more outside

[131:23]than in his home or when he is in different company he's

[131:27]different person multi personalities and the and but he's when he's with

[131:34]allah sincerely with allah but he cannot help doing these things there

[131:40]is a cure for that the prophet said as long as you

[131:48]do it loudly it will cancel the nifaq muhammad loudly my beloved

[132:11]position of a father he always say loudly i remember him very

[132:15]important so the salawat also if you want to say if you

[132:19]say it loudly you don't know you don't know but actually that

[132:23]act of saying the salawat loudly will wipe the nifaq away from

[132:28]a person the prophet said listen this is very important and it

[132:44]takes about it i count it it takes about twenty minutes in

[132:49]the day but look to the reward of it the prophet said

[133:02]allah allah himself to that person 10 times this is don't confuse

[133:12]this with the ones one hasana with 10 hasana because according to

[133:20]all narration of ahlul bayt and the prophet himself no one knows

[133:26]every deed there is certain number of tawa and is counted but

[133:32]the angels do not know what number they put for the tawab

[133:39]of a salatu allah muhammad in wa alai muhammad so what they

[133:43]write this moment say it salawat and they leave that account to

[133:48]allah subhanahu wa ta'ala 10 times if you say once allah you

[133:59]imagine 10 times those who done 10 times by 10 100 times

[134:15]1,000 time then what happened once when allah makes salawat 1,000 time

[134:30]look this is the beauty this is the reward this is what

[134:36]we seek from allah in the state of qadl the prophet said

[134:41]remember the prophet mayan he does not say things this is all

[134:52]from allah what happened he says allah will never torture him in

[135:10]the hellfire his sins may be wiped in the grave in the

[135:16]grave in different way but if somebody is sent down thousand time

[135:23]with sincerity you see there is difference there is difference between and

[135:29]exercise of salah when you do muhammad alai muhammad every part in

[135:38]you should be moving to that salawat salah it mean connection everything

[135:49]in you should be connected to allah the prophet the final hadith

[136:01]before i go to last two minutes on the prophet said when

[136:21]you of allah subhanahu wa ta'ala it's is and this hadith come

[136:36]under the section of there is no need for me to to

[136:49]define who is sheikh mohammed taqi bajat not a single did not

[136:59]say that this sheikh is from alil al orphan very high status

[137:08]what does he say he said we have done a lot of

[137:19]research and a lot of research this is when a word repeated

[137:24]twice exaggeration on the amount of research he done he says this

[137:31]is not your research this is not my research this is not

[137:34]any alim research this is allah of my research he said we

[137:44]cannot find any things any zikr greater than he also said when

[138:01]he was asked what is the best deed the nearest deed you

[138:09]can reach allah he said my time is over but we all

[138:24]just heard the name of the marhumin may allah subhanahu ta'ala bless

[138:29]their souls and these are their progenies our fathers went and they

[138:35]left us to continue on the birth of muhammad ibn ali muhammad

[138:40]now don't they deserve a reward don't they receive that we remember

[138:46]them fatiha and that is important but there is something which is

[138:54]much more important what is it and you say a reward i

[139:17]send this reward i gift this the reward of this salawat to

[139:22]fulan and fulan and fulan mention it to my mother to my

[139:26]father to my teacher to my dad to my dad to my

[139:29]dad this recitation of muhammad nobody knows the amount of its importance

[139:45]and what's contained and the secret with it muhammad so we know

[140:01]now the secret what we say in torb al harameen this is

[140:04]the night of the twenty third whenever you have a break if

[140:10]instead of wasting it instead of talking about general things send that

[140:18]sarawat keep sending that salawat for our for ourselves for the community

[140:25]may allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and always in the way of q

[141:25]inshaallah we'll be commencing the atma'al program within the next couple of

[141:29]minutes if you're ready for the atma'al program please do stay within

[141:32]the main hall if you need to go and do wudu or

[141:35]have a drink of water please by all means feel free but

[141:38]do come back within the next couple of minutes so that we

[141:41]can make a start for the atmar program at asantum we'll now

[151:26]be commencing with the a'amal program let us as we do so

[151:30]let us begin with the recitation of muhammad wa'alee muhammad together we

[153:21]are now entering the night of twenty third of holy ramadan one

[153:29]of the nights of qadr if you remember in my first madness

[153:36]i had very briefly touched on this point that the term qadr

[153:42]has got few meanings one of them is in reference to the

[153:51]power to the qudra and our ulama tell us that the power

[153:58]here is in reference to the power of blessings and mercy of

[154:03]allah subhanahu wa ta'ala that is descending in this night on the

[154:10]believers the other meaning of qadr is an amount or a measure

[154:19]and this is in reference to the allotments that will be distributed

[154:24]on this night of what allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has decreed for

[154:30]us on this great night according to the traditions of the ahlul

[154:36]bayt we find one of the things that has been mentioned is

[154:40]that it is on this night allah subhanahu wa ta'ala decrees who

[154:46]will be performing hajj this year hence find we that throughout the

[154:51]holy month of ramadan the duas which we recite one of the

[154:56]things which we seek from him is hajj that he should grant

[155:00]us the opportunity to visit baytul haram and perform hajj in addition

[155:13]to that everything else is also decreed for us who will live

[155:19]in this year until he experiences the next night of shabbat qadr

[155:26]and who from amongst us will be called back will pass away

[155:31]what are the good things that will come our way during the

[155:36]coming year and what are the calamities the bala the difficulties and

[155:41]troubles we'll be experiencing in the coming year these bala these calamities

[155:48]and troubles are based obviously upon our actions in which is there

[155:55]in the infinite ilm knowledge of allah hence the decree the question

[156:03]that comes to our minds is that is there any possibility of

[156:09]us changing what is being decreed for us on this night to

[156:15]change what is being allotted for us on this night indeed there

[156:19]is and we have been told by the and we have been

[156:25]guided by our ulama that there are two ways of achieving this

[156:30]one is through duas and this is what we have been making

[156:33]throughout the holy month of ramadan recitation of the duas various duas

[156:40]ali iftita and other duas and come the nights of shabbat qadr

[156:46]we find that there are additional duas that are also recommended such

[156:50]as abi hamza 'athumaleh or dua makarimul akhlaq and dua josh and

[156:57]kabir and all the other duas taught to us by our imam

[157:01]particularly the fourth and the sixth imams specific duas for the month

[157:09]of ramadan and there are duas specific to layalil qadr so spending

[157:16]time on musallah communicating with allah worshipping allah doing his zikr remembering

[157:24]him this is one of the ways through which we can get

[157:29]closer to allah and probably have an impact on what is being

[157:37]decreed for us on this night tawbah and istikhfar is one of

[157:43]those things that is highly recommended when we are on the musallah

[157:47]that is why you will find that on these nights the aamal

[157:50]begin with istikhfar all the aamal which we perform we will find

[157:55]that 70 there are two rakat of prayers followed by 70 times

[157:58]astaghfirullah wa atubu ilayy and then 100 times atubu ilayyah this is

[158:06]not just for us to say it but we have to recite

[158:11]them with khudur al kalb with presence of our heart so this

[158:16]is one of the ways that has been recommended the other is

[158:20]about concerning our actions which we perform and i personally feel my

[158:26]brothers and sisters now coming to a very important message for myself

[158:31]for my family and for the community in the past whenever i

[158:36]have conducted the aamal of shabbat qadr in the olden days or

[158:41]in for the muqalidin of sayyid abu al qasim al khwy i

[158:46]have always made this point of talking to the people about some

[158:51]important things which we must understand actions are very important that have

[158:58]to follow the rituals many people cut off the actions and they

[159:03]think that these rituals are sufficient for us no it is not

[159:08]true and that is why we don't find changes within ourselves throughout

[159:12]the year why because we have shunned the actions that are required

[159:17]to be practiced required to be implemented those who have no intention

[159:23]of performing those actions i have mentioned this time and again and

[159:27]even in one of my majalis if i'm not mistaken fifteenth of

[159:31]sha'ban last year i had said otherwise this is nothing but a

[159:34]drama a stage where we are all actors who have come who

[159:38]have gathered and we are just saying prayers standing going in ruku

[159:42]and that's it finished we go and the chapter is closed or

[159:47]we go for hajj we go for ziyarat just for the sake

[159:50]of performing the rituals oh there is saba but we come back

[159:53]and there is no change whatsoever in our lives this is not

[159:57]what islam is about islam is not confined to the four walls

[160:01]of masjid or the four walls of hosseiniyeh there are there are

[160:06]actions that are required to be followed and come the nights of

[160:12]shabbat qadr especially this is the night when allah is going to

[160:19]decree things about us it is very important that we understand in

[160:25]his dua which is famously known as says allah oh allah forgive

[160:49]those sins of mine that cause impediment for my duas for my

[160:55]prayers from being accepted by you what does this mean that there

[160:59]are certain actions which we are performing in this life despite all

[161:04]the rituals we don't see any changes within ourselves and we see

[161:08]nothing but mosiba and calamities and troubles and difficulties coming our way

[161:14]these sins are the impediment there is no doubt so on such

[161:19]nights we need to be serious when we are coming in the

[161:24]presence of allah we should come with hudur al kalb presence of

[161:29]our hearts and our minds it's not just quickly we do this

[161:33]amal and get over it and oh we have done is very

[161:39]very very important for us presence of our heart and our minds

[161:43]whilst talking to allah last night i was listening to a great

[161:52]scholar in najaf al ashraf who was talking about laylatul qadr and

[161:58]there is a beautiful tradition he related from the holy prophet he

[162:12]says that rasulullah has said that on the night of qadr jibrael

[162:20]the closest angel to allah descends towards this earth with with the

[162:35]term that has been used is malaika we all know is in

[162:43]reference to the angels but has got several meanings and the nearest

[162:49]meaning in this hadith is a planet of angels and that is

[162:56]why i had mentioned in one of my majalis that when in

[163:00]surah al qadr allah says the mala'ika descend on this night if

[163:09]the veil was lifted from before our eyes on this night of

[163:14]qadr we would have seen the crowd of angels on this earth

[163:19]so much so that we would see ourselves rubbing our shoulders with

[163:23]them this is such an important night and there is this hadith

[163:27]which says jibrael descends with ka'u kabul mala'eka meaning a whole planet

[163:32]of mala'eka towards the earth now you can just visualize what is

[163:37]happening in that spiritual realm on this night and he is carrying

[163:42]a green flag with him they all come towards this earth but

[163:50]jibrael lends on the holy kaaba and he puts that green flag

[163:58]on top of the holy kaaba at that time the holy prophet

[164:04]says that all the angels who have descended with him what do

[164:10]they do they the hadith says they are offering their greetings they

[164:20]are offering their salaam and yusuf ihun they are shaking their hands

[164:28]with some people who are they they are the prophet says every

[164:42]person who on this night is either standing or he is sitting

[164:47]or he is praying or he is engrossed in the vicar of

[164:53]allah in the remembrance of allah imagine how important this night is

[164:59]for the worship of allah and then he says and they are

[165:12]saying amen to the duas which the believers are making imagine the

[165:17]angels are saying amen to our duas which we are making until

[165:22]such time that it is the time of fajr time for morning

[165:27]salat this is what quran says until the time of fajr and

[165:36]thereafter the angel jeburahil calls out on all the angels who had

[165:42]accompanied him to this world and tells them that it is now

[165:46]time for arraheel to go back to the heavens to go back

[165:51]from where we had come for yes alone these angels then question

[165:57]they ask jibrail that ma sana'allah fi hawa ijil mu'mineen tell us

[166:04]before we ascend what has allah done to the hawaish to the

[166:10]wishes of the believers who are engrossed in all these ibadat before

[166:17]we go we would like to know and it is here that

[166:21]jibrail tells them he says allah has granted them with maghfara he

[166:38]has forgiven their sins he has made them clean on this night

[166:44]you know we seek all the hawa'aj for ourselves o allah i

[166:48]want to pass in my studies i want wealth i want to

[166:52]be successful in this i want this for myself i want this

[166:55]for my family for my children allah is saying that i am

[166:59]cleaning this person i am forgiving the forgiveness itself carries all these

[167:05]bounties which we are seeking from allah otherwise our sins were impediment

[167:12]to the duas which we are making to allah so this is

[167:16]what he says now this is the very important point which i

[167:21]would like to mention i know i had ten minutes but i

[167:24]will take few more time insha'allah i'll balance it out with the

[167:26]amal which we will perform elah salaz who are those three it

[167:31]is very very important very important for us to understand number one

[167:35]is rajulon madhmeru kamrin a person who consumes alcohol sharab wine wine

[167:45]is mentioned but it refers to intoxicants such a person unless of

[167:51]course on this night he amends and does tawbah and istighfar to

[167:56]allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and promises not to return to it then

[168:01]his destiny can change there is no doubt about it the doors

[168:05]of tawbah and istighfar but a person who does not have duniya

[168:08]of giving up alcohol alhamdulillah we are the followers and lovers of

[168:13]ahlul bayt i don't think there is anyone amongst us who would

[168:17]be consuming alcohol and if there is may allah grant such a

[168:21]person with tawfiq so that such a person can reform himself allah

[168:26]allah the problems such a person is going to face in dunya

[168:31]and akhara is something which we cannot even think if somebody is

[168:35]consuming alcohol i remember that when i came from iran in the

[168:39]early eighties one of my teachers sheikh abdullah sami from juzre al

[168:44]qamar sheikh abu iman we call him who later on became the

[168:47]president of juzre al qamar comorz had come with me to nairobi

[168:51]and there were some other shiur i took them to a supermarket

[168:54]to buy a few things you know in supermarkets there's a whole

[168:57]section where they sell wine alcohol and everything so i was in

[169:02]my i mean i didn't want to buy anything we just got

[169:22]away from it there are 10 types of people allah has cursed

[169:26]according to the hadith of the holy prophet and these 10 peoples

[169:30]are all associated with alcohol with intoxicants there are 10 types of

[169:35]people who because of their association with alcohol whether they are consuming

[169:39]whether they are making or they are transporting or they are just

[169:43]selling it or they are even sitting on the counter selling it

[169:46]to others and all these things so there are about 10 people

[169:49]who have been listed and there is not a single prophet who

[169:52]has been sent rasulullah says except that they did not complete their

[169:57]mission without making alcohol haram there are people who on on the

[170:02]day of judgment will wake up from their graves and go straight

[170:05]to paradise without any hissab and there are those who will go

[170:08]straight to jahannam without hissab there will be no accounting it's known

[170:12]that these are one of such people who had who will be

[170:16]thrown into the fire of jahannam is a person who had consumed

[170:23]alcohol even a drop of it so on this night allah has

[170:28]made it clear for this person there is nothing on laylatul qadr

[170:32]even if he spends his entire night it is useless unless of

[170:35]course he does tawba number one number two one whose parents are

[170:42]unhappy with them allah allah whether the parents are alive or they

[170:46]are dead until our last breath we have responsibilities towards them we

[170:51]can't forget them after their death and whilst they are alive there

[170:54]is no way no way we can be undutiful towards them it

[170:59]is there and i'm not going to go into details there are

[171:01]quranic verses there are so many traditions if the father or the

[171:05]mother is unhappy with you has expressed their have expressed their displeasure

[171:11]towards you is not for you you are just wasting your time

[171:16]it's better that you spend laylatul qadr by acquiring the pleasure of

[171:22]your parents so this is the second category of people parents and

[171:26]if they have passed away then remember them you heard brother khalil

[171:30]just now saying one of the things you can reward to them

[171:33]and you don't know the amount of reward that is there is

[171:37]by sending even salawat on them or to do prayer of istighfar

[171:42]for them include them in your tonight that you are doing this

[171:46]i'm including my parents whether they are alive or they are dead

[171:49]include them in every good action which you are performing whether it's

[171:53]hajj ziyarat or any big or small thing include include include your

[171:57]parents it is so important and the third category of people jivrael

[172:02]says to the angel is allah allah i have mentioned this before

[172:08]if there is anybody who has cut off his relationship with his

[172:12]relatives if he has never bothered never asked them and doesn't think

[172:18]high of them underestimates them and doesn't bother with them cut for

[172:24]for whatever reason for whatever reason then forget it forget it this

[172:31]night no no no i mean there is a hadith from imam

[172:34]sadiq al islam in which he says that i have seen in

[172:37]the holy quran a person who has cut off his relation with

[172:42]his relatives cursed three times in the holy quran this is the

[172:48]night of mercy a person who does doesn't deserve mercy he deserves

[172:54]a laad from allah it is so important so important even if

[173:00]we have had disagreements and problems with them two brothers not talking

[173:05]to each other brother and sister not talking to each other father

[173:09]and children not talking to each other this is all you don't

[173:13]talk to your paternal or maternal uncle or aunties these are all

[173:17]in the first group of oh because this person did this to

[173:23]my father my uncle i don't speak to him i don't speak

[173:25]to his children i don't want to see their faces no it's

[173:28]not going to be accepted at any cost imam assad had a

[173:32]brother who tried to poison him several times yet we find that

[173:37]when that person was in need imam was always there there are

[173:42]people in the families and in the communities not only that they

[173:46]do qatu rahim they also promote qatu rahim for example i tell

[173:50]my son don't call your cha cha don't your call your mama

[173:55]don't call your mommy but i have a problem with my brother

[173:59]i it is on me also to amend my ways with my

[174:02]brother and is but not only i'm committing one crime but i'm

[174:08]increasing in that crime by putting my children into it as well

[174:13]and then we say if we want to live long in this

[174:15]life is one of the cause of early death yes it is

[174:19]the cause if a person is supposed to live for thirty days

[174:22]thirty years and if he has cut off his relation imam al

[174:26]sadiq says that zero remove it it will be three years to

[174:28]his life and if a person is going to live for three

[174:31]years if he does see latur rahim at the zero it will

[174:35]be thirty years of his life we won't get all these things

[174:39]by sitting on musallah action is needed we can't we can't do

[174:44]with our relatives and encourage also people within the family don't talk

[174:50]to your father for example it happens in in marital life a

[174:54]person comes and says his wife okay you are my wife now

[174:57]only my parents are your parents and you should not be talking

[174:59]to your parents don't even go to their house you are encouraging

[175:06]you are a you don't know the you are inviting for yourself

[175:10]and for your children you think you are being a man and

[175:13]vice versa as well sometimes it is the wife who will discourage

[175:17]the husband for keeping connection this is haram this invites you don't

[175:21]talk to your parents you don't whatever disagreements are there between yourself

[175:26]sort it out don't shift your problem to the children it invites

[175:30]nothing but of allah and sitting on the will help nothing so

[175:35]on this night if i or anybody of us has cut off

[175:39]our ties in relation with our relatives the tell us have told

[175:45]us don't sit here this quran aamal and duaz brother khalil will

[175:49]not help will not help really and i mean it i'm responsible

[175:53]for what i'm saying on the day of judgment all these things

[175:57]are going to test ify against me if i am like olama

[176:00]are saying spend your night in reconnecting yourself with your relatives you

[176:04]will have your shabbat qadr yeah you will have your shabbat qadr

[176:09]go write down the names of all the relatives you had forgotten

[176:13]and reconnect yourself that is your this drama where you keep the

[176:18]quran and you don't talk with your family you just don't keep

[176:22]relation and you also discourage family members from keeping relationship with the

[176:27]with with the relatives we now inshallah are getting into the for

[176:37]tonight and inshallah i hand it over to sheikh hazli abbas is

[176:41]the one who will be inshallah in charge and conducting please please

[176:46]do not forget our our brothers and sisters who are suffering in

[176:49]gaza they should be first in our dua these people have to

[176:53]be first in our dua let us not forget our parents in

[176:56]all marhumin also as emphasized we continue with the seeking of forgiveness

[177:44]from allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in the tawbah in recitation of commencing

[177:51]with the recital of surat al qadr last five let us all

[184:07]raise our hands and our voices pleading to allah for the istighfar

[184:12]and tawah our sixth imam jafar saleh allah muhammad muhammad recommended to

[185:38]us during the last ten nights of sheikh ramadan to recite the

[185:41]following 10 duas the following duas muhammad those who have the manual

[185:55]of ramadan devotions it is on page 188 with the of recitation

[191:38]of salawat especially on this night would like to remind you the

[191:43]hadith of allah muhammad with regards to the recitation of allah muhammad

[192:03]muhammad our beloved says allah have mercy have rahma upon the one

[192:13]who is reciting in so it is for this reason that we

[192:17]are constantly interspersing the recital of the with can you just imagine

[192:24]how powerful it is that on this night of is praying for

[192:29]us when we recite that in he is praying to allah that

[192:34]may his rahma come upon us let's not miss it out in

[192:37]all of us together reciting together of salawat muhammad will now recite

[196:25]the dua taught to us by our fourth imam followed by the

[196:28]dua taught to us by our ninth imam in this final night

[196:32]of shauhu rama one muhammad muhammad this is on page 74 in

[196:47]the manual of ramadan devotions muhammad will now recite the dua taught

[200:55]to us by the sixth imam to constantly recite during these last

[200:59]ten nights of shehu ramadan a dua in which we are asking

[201:03]allah subhanahu wa ta'ala that we pray that in these nights if

[201:07]there is any sin which is left for me you allah let

[201:09]not this month pass day break before you have forgiven my sin

[201:15]in the second dua we are praying to asking for increase in

[201:20]our life and also asking for increase in our risk as we

[203:27]know that on these night is when the angels come down and

[203:30]our deeds are also presented to our beloved father the master of

[203:35]our time muhammad amongst the various hajjat let us make a very

[203:47]special and a variable dua to allah for the safety of our

[203:53]imam our beloved father herjat ibn al hassan in reciting the dua

[203:58]al faraj all of us together please keep your quran ready and

[205:47]we'll be commencing the quran insha'am before we commence with the of

[206:00]the holy quran there is a short dua that has to be

[206:04]recited for this night of qadr which is on page 78 mominin

[208:10]we commence with the of the holy quran as you know that

[208:16]in this we place the holy quran on our heads and we

[208:23]mentioned the names of 14 masumin alaihi musalam this is the we

[208:29]make through their names and through the holy quran to allah subhanahu

[208:36]wa ta'anam in his book quran when he's talking about this particular

[208:47]of quran in he says that one of the reasons why we

[208:55]have been told to place the whole quran on our heads and

[208:59]mention the names of 14 in addition to seeking through them to

[209:06]allah is to tell ourselves that throughout our lives the holy quran

[209:14]and the will always be on our heads and not beneath our

[209:25]feet that means that we will strive in this life to follow

[209:30]the guidance of the holy quran and the people of quran that

[209:35]are the 14 ma'at soumin please open the holy quran look at

[209:42]the verses and repeat this dua with me together and loudly i

[219:34]will now recite a dua that is taught by none other than

[219:38]our twelfth imam the dua that covers everything which we need in

[219:43]this life seek your and please remember remember us in your prayers

[225:19]within this 10 break if you can prepare for and then we'll

[225:22]commence with the second part of the from 11:25 please we seek

[225:27]your cooperation we'd like to start off on time 11:25 muhammad allah

[225:35]muhammad those who would like to recite in advance the two rakat

[225:42]please do so we will commence with the second part of the

[240:17]which includes recitation of the three surah from the holy quran we'll

[240:23]commence with surah al kabut where we find that the overall theme

[240:27]of surah al an kabut is talking about strengthening the iman for

[240:32]the believers in their dedication to iman and also regarding steadfast on

[240:38]the surah al mustaqim the right path you'll recall on the twenty

[240:42]first night we mentioned with regards to especially the trials which muminin

[240:47]will face and one of the trials which he faces many a

[240:51]times is saying that we do not find enough time you recall

[240:55]i was touching with regards to the quran that muminin this is

[240:59]the night in which the quran has been revealed upon us the

[241:03]quran for us let us try and make space within our hearts

[241:08]within our schedules to be able to be close to the quran

[241:12]and you recall i mentioned that when we will recite surat al

[241:15]ankabut reflect on the last ayah in the ayah where allah tells

[241:21]us and of those who struggle who endeavor in our ways so

[241:28]if we struggle and endeavor at least in finding some space within

[241:32]our schedules for the quran what does allah subhanahu wa ta'ala tell

[241:37]us he will inshallah guide us open for us the ways and

[241:47]in allah is with the good duas therefore we will commence with

[241:52]recitation of surah addukhan and to reiterate what sheikh mujahid ali has

[241:57]been saying it is not the aspect of just the ritual recitation

[242:02]it is the aspect of putting into action so let us reflect

[242:06]upon the contents of this surah and pray to allah subhanahu wa

[242:10]ta'ala he gives it inshallah to be able to be of those

[242:16]who will do the jihad who will endeavor who will struggle who

[242:21]will put in efforts to be able to be putting our duas

[242:27]into action surah tulum is highly recommended to be recited on daylatul

[263:03]qadr in this surah there are two themes which i would like

[263:07]to make them very relevant to our contemporary times the first theme

[263:11]is with regards to the disbelievers we see that in a world

[263:16]today in which we are living day by day we are being

[263:19]squeezed to live as minority amongst a community of non believers and

[263:24]people of no faith and this no doubt has an effect upon

[263:28]us and especially with our younger children but in this surah we

[263:34]find that there is a theme which is constantly asking us to

[263:38]reflect upon the signs upon the ayat of allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

[263:43]so that we may gain a firm and undoubtful faith in our

[263:48]creator allah subhanahu wa ta'ala we know that these these these believers

[263:54]and the people of no faith have been rejecting this clear science

[263:58]and it is at times due to the way the society is

[264:03]that some believers become affected by these skeptics or by the thoughts

[264:09]and the ways of living of these non believers in this surah

[264:13]there is a clear warning being given to us the muminin that

[264:17]we should not at all be affected by these illusions or delusions

[264:22]being brought about by the non believers and also to beware of

[264:28]the severe punishment on the day of judgment and you will see

[264:31]that surah rum the last paragraph is talking about this that we

[264:35]should not in any way get affected and recall the outcome of

[264:41]this disbelief on the day of qiyama this is the first theme

[264:44]which i find good for relating it to contemporary times in surah

[264:48]tulum the second theme which i find is very relevant to be

[264:53]able to relate to a contemporary times is the name of the

[264:56]surah itself surah arum it is derived when we look at the

[265:00]first initial verses of surah rum it is derived about the prophecy

[265:05]that how the army of islam at that early moments was able

[265:12]to bring forth the truth of the prophecy that this great power

[265:16]rum was known as a superpower at that time the way today

[265:19]we have these super so called superpowers the domain of rome or

[265:25]the government and the country the sovereignty was known as a superpower

[265:29]at that time and was posing itself as a threat upon the

[265:33]commonwealth of islam but allah promised and predicted to the prophet that

[265:38]they will be defeated and the muslims will soon be victorious and

[265:43]it is going to be a day of time when a day

[265:49]when the muminin will be happy celebrating the victory against the superpower

[265:55]of that time in our time today we know the superpowers who

[266:00]have been imposing their hegemony who have been dominating the system of

[266:06]the world today and we are able to identify the zionist apartheid

[266:13]colonialist regime occupying occupying the the plains plains of of palestine palestine

[266:19]it is a point for us to remember that much as the

[266:23]dhulm and the oppression is being carried out much as the intimidation

[266:28]is being carried out in different parts of the world to silence

[266:32]the voice of the truth to silence the people who stand up

[266:36]for justice allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has promised that indeed justice truth

[266:44]iman is going to be victorious therefore muminin for us when we

[266:50]see all the suffering this is the ways of allah subhanahu wa

[266:54]ta'ala to test our iman but hold steadfast on this night of

[266:58]when we recite this surah to rum inshaallah inshaallah the day is

[267:05]going to come when a day is going to come when the

[267:11]believers will insha'allah rejoice with all the forces of the tahut and

[267:16]the dalimin to become null and void and defeated and inshallah muhammad

[267:30]there is going to be justice and peace to be carried out

[267:34]muhammad don't get tired let us purify our environment with recitation of

[289:15]surah to dukan which is recommended to be recited on the qadr

[289:20]dukan is the name of this surah tells us it's regarding to

[289:24]the smoke which is prophesizing the smoke which will come before the

[289:28]day of judgment and we know that this is one of the

[289:31]signs of akhiru zaman in this surah we find again that at

[289:35]the commencement of the surah there is mention with regards to the

[289:38]revelation of the quran on the night of laylatul qadr and therefore

[289:44]this surah in its recitation for us is basically igniting into us

[289:50]that spirit of being able to remind ourselves with regards to holding

[289:55]the quran as part of that holding steadfast to the sakhalim which

[290:00]consists of holding to the and the therefore on this night as

[290:06]we recite this allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is giving us this measure

[290:11]that let the quran be a and a reminder for the people

[290:16]we pray to allah subhanahu wa ta'ala that we are able to

[290:19]get the to be holding to the quran living with the quran

[290:25]and acting to the quran inshallah and the second thing which i

[290:36]would like to make it relevant to our times today is with

[290:39]regards to the name of the surah and that is dukhan the

[290:42]smoke as you all know that wherever there is going to be

[290:45]smoke it creates some sort of barrier between us and what is

[290:51]behind that smoke in our world today it is not necessary that

[290:56]we need to have the physical smoke which comes from the fire

[290:59]as such but we find that there are different types of curtains

[291:03]there are different types of smokes which can be a barrier in

[291:06]our vision to gain closeness to allah subhanahu wa ta'ala which can

[291:12]be a smoke or a fog and a barrier to gain closeness

[291:16]to the to the teachings of the quran and the ahlul bayt

[291:20]and we find that these type of smoke or barriers are plenty

[291:24]as a test for us in these challenging moments of the akhiru

[291:28]zaman and what is there to guide us during these moments when

[291:33]we have this great barrier of the smoke not which is sort

[291:37]of affecting our clear vision and eyesight and that is the hadith

[291:42]where we are told hold on to refer to the people who

[291:48]are the narrators of the hadith in simple it means hold on

[291:52]steadfast to the tablikh the way we put on the fog lights

[291:56]when there is fog when you drive it is this blessing and

[292:01]the shadow of the maraji araydham the honorable and the great marajiar

[292:07]and the honorable and the noble scholars who act as the fog

[292:12]lights to be able to enable us to see through the smoke

[292:16]in these moments of ghaybatul kobra therefore mumineen it befits us to

[292:22]make special dua praying to allah subhanahu wa ta'ala for the safety

[292:29]protection good health and long life of all the maaraj i islam

[292:35]especially praying for our maaraj i taqlid ayatulah udhama sayyid ali hussein

[292:41]sistani that may allah subhanahu wa ta'ala grant him and the mother

[292:46]maaraj i islam long life with good health protect them from all

[292:51]calamities and they continue to be an umbrella a shadow and our

[292:57]fog light in these moments of please join me in commending mariam

[301:48]by recital of suratu of salawat three times all of us together

[301:52]commending her please join me in making a special dua you allah

[302:27]we pray to you by the of and the of we commend

[302:36]to your children you allah we pray to you that in their

[302:41]hearts increase in the love of and increase in the love for

[302:47]the quran you allah we pray to you for our children grant

[302:52]them that increase of knowledge so that they may be able to

[302:56]be of service not only to the community but also to the

[303:01]imam of our time you allah we pray to you grant them

[303:05]that ability to continuously be able to perform the jihad during this

[303:10]challenging moments of raibatul qubra you allah we pray to you that

[303:15]for our children grant them that good health good health not only

[303:19]in their physical body but in their iman and in the and

[303:25]you allah we pray to you we commend to you our children

[303:28]protect them from the test and the fitna of these moments of

[303:32]akhiruzaman in allah we pray to you as parents as we command

[303:37]our children to you let these our children be the source of

[303:43]our al salihat muhammad muhammad muhammad wa'alee muhammad wa'alee wa'alee wa'alee farajaw

[304:00]on this night of the qadr from among the various duas the

[304:04]precious words of our fourth imam ali ibn al hussein allah muhammad

[304:15]is the words from dua makari mul akhlaq it really amazes me

[304:21]that as human beings whenever we are asked to do our hajjat

[304:25]and pray to allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will notice that it is

[304:29]a trend that we always pray for what we would say as

[304:32]material things or physical things so we'll pray for example for good

[304:37]health for aafia for increase in let's say barakah for risk for

[304:42]children and all these other physical gifts or barakah we pray to

[304:47]allah one thing which amazes me in the words of imam zainulah

[304:52]within this dua makari mullah laq is that we are not praying

[304:56]for what we would say as the physical or material benefits or

[305:02]requests we are praying for a very different totally different type of

[305:07]request and the request for the reformation of our personality our character

[305:15]our akhlaq what a beautiful moment which imam is reminding us that

[305:23]do not just put priority for your physical life or your other

[305:29]material desires from allah subhanahu wa ta'ala but ask from allah subhanahu

[305:34]wa ta'ala to bring about reformation of characters in other words to

[305:39]actually make us what you would say as human beings for what

[305:44]differentiates human beings from animal is the character the behavior the khlaq

[305:50]and this is what the dua is for which we pray to

[321:56]just a point to link with and the with recital of that

[322:03]we can see that the hadith which tells us that for the

[322:06]duas to be accepted commence with the recital of salawat and end

[322:10]with the recital of salawat and here we find that the imam

[322:13]in dua makari is setting us a very noble example that at

[322:18]each and every paragraph of asking our devotions he commences with recitation

[322:23]of praying to allah to send salawat upon muhammad muhammad we will

[322:35]now recite the dua of tawba asking allah subhanahu wa ta'ala for

[322:40]repentance and this is a plea which the imam is coaching us

[322:53]to plead to allah subhanahu wa ta'ala that first we acknowledge the

[322:58]enormity of the sins which we have committed and it is only

[323:03]through the mercy and forgiveness of allah subhanahu wa ta'ala that we

[323:07]have hope and that we are praying to allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

[323:11]to bestow upon us that forgiveness and that accept our tawba and

[323:16]repentance may allah subhanahu wa ta'ala enable us to be from those

[323:21]who are the tawbaheen from those who turn towards him and may

[323:25]allah subhanahu wa ta'ala be the one who out of his father

[323:29]out of his generosity and out of his nobility forgives us our

[323:34]sins inshaallah we will conclude the recitation of our amal for tonight

[343:57]with dua al faraj and thereafter followed by
