We've all seen this viral video.
[0:04]
Some have labeled it ice versus ice.
[0:06]
Some have called it the two stooges.
[0:09]
However, this video is actually quite alarming.
[0:09]
As this ice agent slipped on ice, his gun actually fired a
[0:14]
bullet.
[0:15]
Yes, imagine an innocent bystander was just walking past them and gets
[0:19]
shot because of this accident.
[0:20]
Sadly, it's less of an accident and more of incompetence.
[0:25]
How?
[0:23]
Let me explain.
[0:25]
ICE used to require over 16 weeks or almost five months of
[0:28]
training for their agents in order to consider them ready.
[0:34]
Now they require less than half of that.
[0:37]
Less than two months under the Trump administration and with the additional
[0:42]
demands on ICE to hire more so they can crack down on
[0:44]
illegal immigrants.
[0:45]
They hire many more and they provide them with less than half
[0:49]
the necessary training.
[0:52]
So whether it's slipping on ice and accidentally firing around or ICE
[0:57]
agents shooting and killing a US citizen in her car, these are
[1:00]
not simply accidents or one-offs.
[1:03]
It is the result of underqualified, undertrained agents who are also heavily
[1:07]
armed.
[1:08]
They are protected by the law and almost guaranteed immunity.
[1:13]
And if that's not dangerous, I don't know what is.
