[0:13]may Allah bless you all and accept all of your inshallah we
[0:20]are going to be embarking on a spiritual holy Journey which for
[0:25]some of us or some of you it will be partial of
[0:29]the trip and for some of you it will be the whole
[0:32]trip but the trip is supposed to begin inra and then we
[0:39]will go to Iraq and then from there we will go to
[0:44]Iran so inshallah today and tonight most of our discussion will be
[0:48]regarding the omra segment because during the Zara in Iran and Iraq
[0:52]there's not that many that are to be performed other than we
[0:58]will just be reciting the Zara and we will have to know
[1:00]who we're visiting and what we're visiting we will explain inshallah all
[1:03]of that however as for the the OM is like a mini
[1:08]and there are some that we have to perform there are certain
[1:15]things that must be done and if it's not done correctly then
[1:18]it could be problematic we have to enter into the state of
[1:25]so this is why it's very important for us all to know
[1:28]what we're doing where we're going and we have to kind of
[1:32]be aware of our environment aware of our surroundings you're not living
[1:37]you're not going to be in America over there probably the things
[1:40]you say you have to be very careful what you say things
[1:46]you do um you know there's a group of people that will
[1:48]consider you as you're you know because you're a sh you're a
[1:51]follower of the they might not like that so you're probably going
[1:57]to have these type of experiences but we will try to uh
[2:00]be ready be prepared so that there will be no problems inshallah
[2:06]so inshallah we will be doing a omra prep session and our
[2:14]uh Zara our omra begins with visiting Medina now of course in
[2:18]order to perform the omra do you have to visit Medina no
[2:23]someone could just land in Jed they go they put on their
[2:26]in the mikat one of the mosques that is nearby one of
[2:31]the of entries for Mecca and they could enter into Mecca but
[2:35]our group we are going to be be beginning with Medina and
[2:40]of course Medina is it is the place of migration of although
[2:47]the prophet was not born in Medina but he chose Medina to
[2:54]become his City and when he migrated he the prophet came to
[3:00]him at Age 4 40 13 years later he stayed in Mecca
[3:02]13 years later he migrated to Medina because Mecca was not safe
[3:09]for him now while he was living in Medina was able to
[3:14]conquer Mecca peacefully but the people of Medina they became sad they
[3:18]said he's going to leave us he's going to go back to
[3:23]Mecca now but he said I came here you accepted me and
[3:25]I will be buried here and I will die here and I
[3:29]will be buried here and Medina became the city of Medina had
[3:36]a name prior to Medina had a name prior to um uh
[3:43]the Hijra of the prophet and it was called y but once
[3:46]the prophet migrated it became known as Medina Medina means the city
[3:50]but it is known as Med it is the city of so
[3:57]alhamdulillah we have the opportunity to visit Allah and the Zar of
[4:02]should not be underestimated the Zara of Allah is greater than the
[4:08]Zara of all of the IMs greater than the Zara of all
[4:09]the because he is the prophet he is the one who brought
[4:14]us the religion of Islam he is the one who gave us
[4:19]all of our that we have it all goes back to so
[4:24]when we go to Medina you're going to see several religious attraction
[4:30]religious sites one is the of this is the second most important
[4:39]Masjid in Islam the first is M the Masjid that has the
[4:44]Kaa in it and the second is M and in is actually
[4:49]the burial place of the Prophet so when you're when you're going
[4:53]to pray there you're going to see the green Dome the prophet
[4:57]is buried right beneath that green Dome and it was actually his
[5:00]house he was buried in his house and is buried there and
[5:07]there's a there's a probability thatat is also buried in that vicinity
[5:11]because the house of the Prophet is attached to the house of
[5:15]IM Ali and F and they're a part of the Masjid now
[5:20]now when you go when you enter into the when you enter
[5:22]into the Masjid if you get closer to the the is the
[5:28]place between the between the grave of the prophet and between the
[5:31]between the grave of Brothers can you get some chairs for the
[5:34]Sisters between the between the grave of the prophets and between the
[5:44]member of there is the the the that is the original mid
[5:48]of now in that area when you visit the prophet the reward
[5:55]there's a Hadith that says that the reward the of the Salah
[5:59]inside the Masid of is worth 10,000 prayers 10,000 prayers so you
[6:10]want you pray a two prayer you get the reward of 10,000
[6:12]prayers now does this mean that if you haven't prayed you could
[6:18]come and just pray one prayer here no this is theab this
[6:20]is reward reward is different from something that is obligatory upon you
[6:25]and Allah subhah wa ta'ala expects it from you so try to
[6:30]pray in the Masjid of the Prophet when we go there our
[6:32]hotel is going to be very close to MJ walking distance you're
[6:38]going to hear thean the the and before thean there's an there's
[6:44]aan one hour before F this is called the thean to wake
[6:51]everyone up for Sal for midnight prayer and usually when that first
[6:55]Adan goes off you see people hundreds and thousands of people they
[6:59]all start walking to the mjid some people they've spent the night
[7:04]there they they were there before but people start walking and this
[7:06]is what we are going to do with the group so we're
[7:07]going to have a meeting point in the lobby um an hour
[7:13]before F when that first Adan goes off then we will go
[7:16]of course the brothers will be in one section and the sisters
[7:19]will be in one section but we will try to at least
[7:23]for the first few times go together and then later on if
[7:26]once uh everyone's accustomed to it they would be able to go
[7:28]on their own so this is in m i want everyone to
[7:35]download an app this came after covid it's called n n u
[7:42]k nuk in that app there during during Co they made this
[7:47]rule they made one to enter into and one to enter into
[7:52]but M they removed that restriction so you're not going to have
[7:55]that problem you could enter into the ground floor of M without
[7:59]registering but if you want to enter into the remember where we
[8:06]said where the was the is the place the original Masjid of
[8:09]the Prophet between the and the M if you want to go
[8:13]into the you're going to have you're going to have to go
[8:16]into the you're going to have to go into the uh nuk
[8:22]app and register and pick a time so I tried to go
[8:28]and register it we need to go like a week before or
[8:30]four or five days before so we're going to keep trying I
[8:35]want you guys to try once you are able to let me
[8:36]know so that we tell everyone to register at that particular time
[8:40]so the majority of us would be able to enter together of
[8:43]course unfortunately also this will be only man I would be able
[8:48]to enter with the men and the woman would have to enter
[8:50]together it's good to enter as a group but if you couldn't
[8:52]enter as a group you enter on your own but at least
[8:55]you go and you pray two ra and there that was the
[8:59]original Masjid of the prophet and when you enter there you pray
[9:02]you say and you also recite the Z and and pray two
[9:09]prayers for the Z of two prayers for the Z of Lady
[9:15]fa so um someone saying all slots are full for December but
[9:19]this is because they haven't opened them yet they haven't opened them
[9:22]yet I mean last year I went it wasn't opened until about
[9:27]a week or two weeks before then once it opens then um
[9:30]inshallah we would be able to register we pick a time and
[9:34]we register so this is to enter into the so this is
[9:38]mji mjid is huge there have been many expansions but the original
[9:42]Masjid is the Masjid that is close to the vicinity of the
[9:47]House of Al now when we leave when we leave M adjacent
[9:54]to MBI and it's going to be very close to our hotel
[9:56]the Pullman zamzam the one that we're staying in so when we
[10:02]leave m is on this side and the the is the the
[10:08]um Cemetery that houses the graves of four of the imams IM
[10:11]Hassan IM IM and IM the daughters of the Prophet the wives
[10:17]of the Prophet many of the Great Companions of many of the
[10:21]sh IIM the son of the prophets they're all buried there they
[10:24]open the after prayer so when we with the brothers when we're
[10:30]in F we're going to leave after we pray F prayer we're
[10:32]going to leave we go to the we do the Z and
[10:38]then we go to the hotel unfortunately once again as for the
[10:41]Sisters Saudi law do they do not allow the sisters to enter
[10:46]into the B Cemetery but you could still do the Zara there's
[10:48]a wall you you stand where where the last point before before
[10:55]they don't allow you to enter um if you have your phone
[10:57]with you it's very easy so that you you could just switch
[11:00]and and you could read the Zar of the Prophet the Z
[11:01]of Z or you could get the book or several some of
[11:08]the books they have them unfortunately we don't have with us here
[11:11]but um maybe we could find or we could just print the
[11:16]actual Zara and some of the duas that we need so this
[11:21]is with regards to the cemetery in Medina you also have the
[11:26]first Masjid in Islam the first Masjid in Islam what is the
[11:29]name of the first Masjid in Islam mjba Masjid Kuba when the
[11:37]prophet migrated from Mecca to Medina before entering in Medina it's about
[11:41]11 km or so now it's a part of the city but
[11:43]before it was outside of Medina the prophet when he migrated to
[11:50]Medina he stayed in Kuba in the village of Kuba and he
[11:53]stayed there waiting for IM Ali to come and fat Z to
[11:57]come because IM Ali stayed for three days he stayed in in
[11:59]mecca for 3 Days giving back everyone people had entrusted the prophet
[12:05]they had given money they had given gold whatever it is they
[12:07]didn't believe in the prophet as a prophet but they trusted him
[12:10]with their money so IM Ali stayed back and he gave back
[12:16]everyone their belongings and he left Mecca in public he left Mecca
[12:19]and he came back he he arrived in Kuba the prophet was
[12:22]waited waiting for him in Kuba while the prophet was waiting in
[12:27]Kuba he had the freedom to build a m for the first
[12:32]time in his life imagine 13 years the prophet was in Mecca
[12:33]he cannot build a Masjid of course there was no need to
[12:37]build a Masjid because you have but mam was filled with Idols
[12:42]when the prophet left now builds M and he um he builds
[12:48]it then once IM Ali comes then they then they go and
[12:51]they enter into Medina we are going to go to mjba the
[12:55]Hadith of the prophet and you're going to see this written on
[12:56]M inside the walls of mjba there's AI accepted by sunnis and
[13:04]Sh whoever does w in his home and goes and prays two
[13:08]in receives the reward of a so right now you're paying all
[13:16]this money to go and perform you want the of the you
[13:18]go and you pray in M when we're in when we're coming
[13:24]back to the hotel after the Zara you see taxis and they're
[13:26]saying they keep telling people because it's close they they take people
[13:32]to you could go and pray to and come back it will
[13:33]just take you like half an hour we're going to do that
[13:36]once as a group but some people they have that passion they
[13:39]like to go more often that is something that you're able to
[13:44]do another site another attraction that is in that is in uh
[13:47]in Medina is a Masjid by the name of the Prophet used
[13:55]to pray towards Jerusalem and then when he first migrated to Medina
[14:00]for the first 7 months or 17 months the prophet was praying
[14:03]towards Jerusalem then one day J comes in the middle of the
[14:10]prayer was praying and he comes and he takes the shoulder of
[14:13]the prophet and he moves him 180 de 180° he moves him
[14:21]and Allah started praying towards Mecca so in that mid is the
[14:25]place where the was changed I remember many years ago when I
[14:32]went there was actually two Ms there was one facing the meca
[14:35]and then one facing the other side facing Jerusalem recently in the
[14:40]last couple years when I went they had removed the Other M
[14:44]maybe some people were praying the other side I don't know they
[14:46]got rid of the they got rid of the other so this
[14:49]this is also a place where we're going to go as a
[14:55]group inshallah there's another location an attraction this is called the seven
[14:59]mon Moses this was the location of the battle of the ditch
[15:06]when the Muslims were surrounded so the Muslims had to dig a
[15:13]trench around themselves and they were besieged so they couldn't stay in
[15:15]their homes they were afraid they're going to be attacked they were
[15:18]staying in that area and they they had small mosques for example
[15:21]there was a place of worship for IM Ali there was a
[15:24]place of worship for fatat zah there was a place of worship
[15:26]for Salman and several others there's about seven of them now unfortunately
[15:33]as you're going to see the Saudi government has removed a lot
[15:37]of these historical landmarks but inshallah we will be able to go
[15:41]you could see Stones where the old where the original Masjid of
[15:45]fat Z was where the Masjid of IM Ali was sometimes they
[15:47]lock the door they don't allow people to enter we're going to
[15:51]when we go and we do the tour of the attractions around
[15:54]Medina we're going to um visit these locations inshallah then there you
[15:59]have also one of the most important places in Medina and that
[16:04]is the place of the battle of where the Battle of took
[16:09]place and the grave of Hamza and 70 of the sh 70
[16:14]of the martyrs that were killed on the day of they're all
[16:16]buried in that area we will go there and we will recite
[16:20]the Zar of Hamza he told the Muslims he told them cry
[16:25]for Hamza and remember Hamza so for For the Love of rasol
[16:28]Allah we go and we visit Hamza now this is with regards
[16:32]to Medina we're going to take it easy when we first get
[16:35]there we go in the morning we do Sal we wait till
[16:40]F recite Quran in the mjid try to pray every prayer in
[16:43]inside the mid there someone might ask can I pray J because
[16:49]we're going to be there um you know the prayer you you
[16:51]have um the their their IM is is leading the prayer so
[16:56]what our Scholars say is you could do meaning do you follow
[17:01]along when they say allahar you say allahar you follow along but
[17:06]the recitation reciting Alat and the other Surah you recite it in
[17:11]a calm voice where you don't show that you're out of the
[17:14]group but you follow along and you get the of J so
[17:19]yes you can join but you just have to recite with a
[17:23]calm voice in a way where you're not distracting and you're not
[17:25]showing that you are praying on your own and you follow along
[17:30]you follow along yes any questions with regards to what has been
[17:33]said so far yes you could just read for example sometimes you're
[17:45]going to notice they read long suras and this is beautiful you
[17:48]know you're supposed to listen to the Quran being recited so you
[17:53]recite for example recite alham they're reciting alham you recite with the
[17:59]IM alham and then you recite uh recite another Surah and then
[18:03]stay calm you don't need to say anything and just do Subhan
[18:05]Subhan or some some sort of or just listen to the Quran
[18:10]being recited there's nothing wrong with that there's sometimes you might face
[18:15]some problems some issues sometimes what I've noticed is they pray the
[18:21]M prayer before the time that the majority of the sh say
[18:24]it's m time of course some of them they say with sunset
[18:28]but there's others that say you have to wait about 15 minutes
[18:33]so sometimes they say allahar like 5 minutes after sunset or or
[18:40]10 minutes after Sunset so if if you felt like you're not
[18:43]really comfortable then you could just follow along and then do another
[18:46]prayer on your own or you could just follow along and do
[18:51]so um this is this is with regards to praying in m
[18:56]and I recommend everyone don't pray at the hotel unless you had
[18:59]to to you pray in M go make an effort to pray
[19:03]in M this is we're only there for a few days we
[19:07]have to try to pray as much as we can inside the
[19:08]Masjid now inshallah when you get there you have to start preparing
[19:14]from day one day one you're going to be tired but they
[19:15]too start putting in your mind I need to do the I
[19:20]have to get myself ready to perform the OM so now preparation
[19:23]for the let me um yes so can you please change that
[19:33]slide yes so the um it could be what is the first
[19:39]of all is when you go to perform the TA and some
[19:40]of the rights some of the rituals of the Hajj not during
[19:44]the time of the Hajj so what's the difference between and Hajj
[19:47]can I just go to and I don't need to go to
[19:50]Hajj depends if Hajj is not wag upon you some people Haj
[19:55]is not waj upon them why they don't have the financial capability
[19:58]they don't have the means they are not able to get a
[20:03]Visa they're they keep trying they keep trying and they're not able
[20:06]to get a Visa there's always block there's always things that come
[20:09]up in the way obstacles Haj is not waj upon you Haj
[20:13]Allah says in the Quran is W upon the one who's capable
[20:21]the one who's financially capable physically capable you don't have any legal
[20:26]requirements no um restrictions legal passport whatever it is then if you
[20:31]have all of those then Hajj becomes waj then you have to
[20:35]try every year every year you have to try to go until
[20:36]you are able to go but and Haj is done during the
[20:41]month of so it's a specific time there's conditions you could you
[20:46]could perform the Hajj if if it's waj upon you if it's
[20:51]not waj upon you then Haj is not waj upon you but
[20:57]any other time you go to to Mecca you enter into Mecca
[20:59]and you do the and you do the then that is called
[21:05]does it have any conditions do you have to have money to
[21:10]go to no do you need to have passport or whatever it
[21:12]is no if you're able to get there in fact entrance into
[21:18]Mecca requires you to be in the state ofam anytime Mecca is
[21:24]a unique City it's a holy city anytime you enter into Mecca
[21:27]you have to be in the state of so we need to
[21:33]have ouram ready for the for the brothers you I've seen some
[21:36]websites you could order or over there in our hotels when you
[21:42]we come down from the hotel there's stores they all sell everything
[21:46]that you need many types ofam hundreds of stores that sellam it's
[21:51]about 50 $60 or $40 depending on what type you get um
[21:57]some of them are a little little bit more expensive some of
[22:00]them are less but during the the the time that you're going
[22:03]to be in the is going to be very little it's not
[22:06]going to be very long but I would recommend these years I
[22:08]would recommend because some people they do multiple Omas so if you
[22:13]are able to find a comfortable you would need that for the
[22:17]brothers what do you need for theam you theam is to to
[22:22]basically a cover it looks like a towel but it's not something
[22:24]that it has to be something that's not sewn you're not allowed
[22:28]to wear anything sewn so for example this is sewn I won't
[22:30]be able to wear it head cover you can't cover your head
[22:36]during the during theam and you need to buy sandals I recommend
[22:40]if you're if you're sensitive buy sandals B buy uh buy sandals
[22:45]that they have to be where the the top of your of
[22:51]your foot should be revealed this is for the brothers so for
[22:53]example the the one that you um what are they called flipflop
[22:59]flops flip-flops those those would be um those would be ideal if
[23:03]flip-flops bother you you could buy those that are you know they
[23:08]cover the foot but some of Sometimes some of them they they
[23:10]cut a hole in the middle of it so that the like
[23:13]34 of the top of your of your foot should be revealed
[23:17]as for the Sisters that's not a requirement you wear normal shoes
[23:20]you wear socks you wear normal clothing the for the Sisters is
[23:24]just clothing that is pure that is that does not have Zena
[23:29]that doesn't have adornment on it so you don't wear like for
[23:31]example a Gucci this is this is adornment yeah you have to
[23:36]try to the the whole purpose the whole purpose of entering into
[23:40]is that we are remembering the day of we're we're all equal
[23:46]in the eyes of Allah we're all dressed the same I recommend
[23:48]for the sisters it's not waj you could wear whatever color it
[23:53]is but many of the sisters they choose to wear white they
[23:55]choose to wear white to because everyone is wearing wearing that and
[23:59]it's it's something you could do that and if you didn't you
[24:04]couldn't you don't have to you could wear a black Abaya you
[24:06]could wear whatever it is as long as it's something that is
[24:11]does not attract too much attention is not Zena and um it
[24:14]is hijab it is covering and and proper hijab this is this
[24:19]is um the the requirement of theam so for the Sisters you
[24:26]could probably purchase theam online I don't know if there any websites
[24:31]or stores right here perhaps there is right okay so the Islamic
[24:39]stores in Dearborn are online you could probably find some options for
[24:44]the for the uh for the Sisters as for the brothers I
[24:48]I usually every year I go and I buy mine from there
[24:50]you don't have to worry about it you buy from there and
[24:55]then you also need to buy a belt you buy a Heman
[25:00]Heman it's something that is also um so that it holds it
[25:02]holds it because you can't you can't tie you can't you can't
[25:07]wear something that's sewn so you wear a belt and this belt
[25:09]you could put your money you could put your phone you could
[25:13]put your your whatever it is there are there are some types
[25:15]over there that you will be able to see inshallah so this
[25:19]is what we will do when we enter into Medina keep that
[25:21]in your mind we could go as a group one day and
[25:25]and do that and um when we enter into Mecca you have
[25:30]to enter Mecca through specific ports of Entry so I can't just
[25:35]arrive from the airport and drive into Mecca and go wear myam
[25:38]and drive into Mecca no Mecca has ports of Entry they're called
[25:41]mikat so the mikat of the people of Medina is where there's
[25:49]a Masjid it's about 20 minutes 30 minutes outside of Medina it's
[25:54]called M another name for it is AB Ali so there we
[26:02]will go to and there we will enter into you do the
[26:06]just like what Isam means things are going to become Haram upon
[26:11]us this is why when we pray when we say thebar what
[26:15]is that called because the moment you sayb it becomes Haram to
[26:21]talk it becomes Haram to turn around becomes Haram to do certain
[26:24]things you're entering into the Salah it's called to enter into the
[26:29]state ofam we have to go to the mikat and then from
[26:35]the mikat we have to do certain things we have to wear
[26:39]the proper clothing we have to do the Nia the intention and
[26:42]we have to do the T now say for example someone arrives
[26:49]in jeda airport and they want to go to go to perform
[26:50]the omra right away they don't want to go to Medina they
[26:55]they want to go Medina after the umra can they do that
[27:00]yes which which mik there's a mikat if you enter into Jed
[27:05]if someone uh flies into Jed and they want to enter into
[27:08]Mecca right away there's a mikat by the name of it's about
[27:13]an hour drive further from Mecca you have to go and then
[27:18]you come back so one year I did that one year I
[27:19]did the Medina after I went to I entered into the state
[27:25]of and then we entered into Mecca but once we enter into
[27:30]Mecca so we for for those of us who are going to
[27:31]be in M sh we enter into Mecca we're going to enter
[27:36]you're going to be able to do another once you finish the
[27:41]OM you could do multiple Omas on behalf of yourself in a
[27:45]Islamic month in one Islamic month you could do one omra once
[27:50]the next Islamic month starts you could do another on behalf of
[27:54]yourself but what you could do some people they say I want
[28:00]to do multiple so we the first time you enter you do
[28:02]it on behalf of yourself or if you want to do it
[28:05]on behalf of other people you're allowed to but then they say
[28:07]I'm still within the same month so okay you could do it
[28:11]on behalf of your parents you could do it on behalf of
[28:14]one person or you could do it on behalf of multiple people
[28:16]it doesn't matter you're when you're doing it on behalf of someone
[28:19]you could do it on behalf of multiple people so within one
[28:24]month you only do one for yourself but you could do multiple
[28:26]on of other people and we will explain to you how to
[28:31]do that but since we're talking about mik once you we have
[28:35]entered into Medina into Mecca excuse me you don't need to drive
[28:38]four hours back to because it's a 4our drive you don't need
[28:44]to go back to M to do once again there's a Masjid
[28:49]in the outskirts of Mecca it's for those who are already in
[28:52]Mecca it's called another name for it they call it m because
[29:00]there was a specific incident story where had to go and enter
[29:06]into over there so the prophet told her go there it's called
[29:09]some people some taxi drivers they call it so once you're done
[29:14]with the and the next day you want to do another make
[29:17]sure that your is clean it's it's pure you get in a
[29:22]taxi you go to and you do the and then you come
[29:25]back so now we're going to explain what is the process of
[29:30]um entering into entering into yes into so the first thing that
[29:36]we're going to do first of all does anyone have any questions
[29:50]yes yes so this is sub the same question was asked online
[29:56]um the question is well when do you wear your so we
[30:02]wear we we enter into the state of in but you're you
[30:06]can do the but I don't recommend it because there's hundreds of
[30:10]people there it's very crowded what we're going to have the group
[30:16]do is in your show in your hotel room you have youram
[30:19]ready you go and you do the Gul you do the Gul
[30:25]there's a recommended Gul that is to be done and when you
[30:30]do the and the is I do the to enter into the
[30:31]state of for for the singular and and and then you you
[30:39]wash your head and you wash the right side of your body
[30:41]and the left side of your body and then you wear the
[30:45]close ofam then you do not do you're not in the state
[30:47]ofam but you should not do anything that invalidates the so for
[30:54]example one of the things that a person is not supposed to
[30:56]do is look in the mirror during there's a list we're going
[31:00]to go through it in the slideshow so you should not do
[31:01]any of these things saying W you know if you if you
[31:08]mean it that will be something that invalidates theam so you could
[31:11]do it you could do the in the hotel and then we
[31:15]will get in the bus we will go to m there we
[31:21]will enter into the into the um into the so what we're
[31:23]going to do the day we're going to leave we're going to
[31:28]have everyone the day we're going to leave the hotel Medina you're
[31:31]going to you're going to have to pack your bags you you
[31:36]do the you get your stuff ready do the wear the and
[31:39]the is I I perform the for the of and then there's
[31:47]a Dua as well to to read before performing the we'll send
[31:50]that we we could have a voice recording so that you could
[31:56]hear it you know and then um and then uh when you
[32:01]wear the you also there's a Dua to be said while wearing
[32:03]theam then we come down and wait in the lobi until we
[32:09]head out to M now here's one thing that is a little
[32:11]bit of inconvenience but we H we we do this to not
[32:18]get ourselves in another problem and that is uh for the brothers
[32:20]for the men we cannot one of the conditions of is that
[32:28]you can not travel with your head covered meaning in a bus
[32:32]or anything that has a head covering during daytime if your head
[32:37]is covered during the day what do you have to do you
[32:39]have to give a kafara Slaughter of sheep so what do we
[32:46]do we wait until M time we wait until M time so
[32:52]that we leave the hotel we leave the hotel we're not in
[32:55]the state ofam yet we get to m we wait in at
[33:00]time so right now because it's winter the the day is a
[33:04]little bit shorter so we're going to check out we're going to
[33:06]have to wait a little bit and the checkout is around 12:00
[33:09]probably the group is going to tell you we're going to have
[33:13]to wait you could go to m pray then come back and
[33:17]you're wearing now because your stuff is all in the bag it's
[33:20]packed then we we get in the bus we go to m
[33:24]we wait until M time once it becomes M time then we
[33:30]will um pray the and prayer and then we enter into the
[33:33]in so what do we how do we enter into there are
[33:38]there are several things that need to be done can you go
[33:44]to the next slide so yes Hajj no we we go to
[33:52]m to wait for so usually we leave around 3 4:00 by
[33:56]the time we get there and we just wait in we wait
[34:00]until time because we don't want to be traveling when the sun
[34:03]is still out but we're not in the state ofam yet we're
[34:09]not in the state ofam yet you're going to be in the
[34:14]state ofam after the T A after after you do the T
[34:17]and the ni so what we're going to do once we enter
[34:20]once we enter into um once we enter into M it it
[34:29]comes close we pray the and prayer then you say the I
[34:34]wear the for I enter into the state of for seeking nearness
[34:47]to Allah subhana tala this is all everything that we do is
[34:51]it's not Tik Tok or Instagram so people could see what I
[34:58]did this is so we're doing this so for for the pleasure
[35:01]of Allah subhana wa tala because God has commanded us and this
[35:07]is a recommendation this is why we're doing this so we say
[35:10]the ni after we say the ni of course here if someone
[35:15]wants to do it on behalf of someone else they say on
[35:20]behalf of such and such then as soon as you say that
[35:29]what do you have to say the the is this so this
[35:41]is um we're going to have to say this when you say
[35:47]this what does it mean it means here I am oh Allah
[35:51]here I am meaning oh Allah you invited me to your home
[35:53]ibim built the and he called people oh people come and visit
[36:00]the house of Allah this is where your sins are going to
[36:02]be forgiven this is where your wishes are going to be granted
[36:09]so now you say oh Allah you invited me now I have
[36:13]come here I am no partner do you have here I am
[36:19]verily all PL praise favor and Authority belong to you no partner
[36:24]do you have now this is going to be a very beautiful
[36:26]scene you're going to see groups hundreds 50 people 30 people they're
[36:30]all going to be reciting the tbia and they're going to be
[36:36]gutting in the buses to go towards meca of course this is
[36:39]a very spiritual moment a lot of times some people they're just
[36:44]you know they're they're in a different world IM it is said
[36:49]that he was with um I believe anas IB Malik he or
[36:55]Malik IB anas he he tells the Imam the Imad he wants
[36:59]to say the he keeps saying and he begins to cry he
[37:04]is unable to finish it so the IM Malik he tells him
[37:06]you have to say the T because in order to enter into
[37:10]the you have to say the T the IM says how can
[37:14]I say I have come to answer your call when I'm full
[37:16]of sins when I am not truly answering the call physically emotionally
[37:21]psychologically so get yourself ready spiritually this is also a preparation for
[37:27]the Hajj the Hajj is the real one that we you have
[37:30]to say it but this is a preparation for that so this
[37:34]is what we we will all say then we get in the
[37:40]bus now recently in the last couple years the government in Saudi
[37:44]Arabia they've they've made trains really fast trains that go from jeda
[37:52]to Medina and Mecca Medina as well J so you go to
[37:55]me Mecca to Medina this is a 2hour train 2hour train $80
[38:01]80 or $70 it's fast a really fast train it's more comfortable
[38:05]but because the group we're with the group The the group is
[38:10]last year we went with them they they got us buses the
[38:12]buses about 4 hours but because we're a lot of people we're
[38:15]going to be doing Dua together we're going to be reciting supplications
[38:18]together and we're probably going to be taking the the bus but
[38:25]if someone is uncomfortable or able to they could take the they
[38:29]could take the uh the the train but you would have to
[38:33]from M get in a taxi go to the train station and
[38:37]then from there you go to to um this is for someone
[38:39]who is watching this later or someone who is able to perform
[38:44]on their own that is also an option that you could do
[38:46]so now can you go to the next slide please there's about
[38:53]25 things that become forbidden when you are in the the state
[38:57]of that means you have to be very careful so hunting hunting
[39:04]is illegal it's it's uh Haram now right now we're going to
[39:10]be in the state ofam for a very a couple hours we're
[39:12]not we're not going to get hungry before people are traveling between
[39:17]between Medina to Mecca and it's taking weeks they see a deer
[39:23]coming by them they see this nice gazelle they see all these
[39:26]and they're ready to hunt it comes really near but they're not
[39:30]allowed to hunt because this is one of the this is one
[39:32]of the things that becomes Haram hunting um intercourse is Haram kissing
[39:37]a spouse touching the spouse with lust looking at spouse with lust
[39:44]masturbation marriage use of scented items and perfume so you have deodorant
[39:49]on it has a scent you can't do that during that's it
[39:53]don't you can't use anything during that's it so when you take
[39:59]the shower the before we go to the wash all the smell
[40:01]wash everything the deodorant wash everything from your body so that nothing
[40:06]is on your body nothing nothing that distinguishes you from anyone else
[40:10]no lotion no oil none of that so also um you can't
[40:17]even they say that you can't for example if you if you
[40:22]pass by something that smelled really bad you can't say oh oh
[40:25]what is this and and that's it you just walk by it
[40:28]don't even act like you you smelled anything nothing good nothing bad
[40:31]or you pass by a store and you're like um you know
[40:35]I want to smell this you can't do that you're right now
[40:38]this is you're in the state ofam wearing sewn clothes so for
[40:41]men you can't wear anything that is sewn you can't eyeliner uh
[40:48]looking in the mirror wearing socks and clothes shoes for men by
[40:51]the way looking in the mirror I see a lot of people
[40:55]they put their phone they make it a selfie mode and they're
[40:56]looking at themselves can't do that I know everyone wants to see
[41:01]themselves when they're in theam have your friend take a picture of
[41:04]you and then you could see the picture but you can't see
[41:06]yourself it shouldn't be a mirror so um this is this is
[41:13]something uh wearing socks and clothed shoes for men removal of tooth
[41:19]extracting a tooth or pulling hair making yourself bleed carrying a weapon
[41:25]killing insects adornment Zena for example you have a necklace that is
[41:29]you're wearing it as an adornment you have to take it off
[41:34]if you're wearing a ring if this is worn because it's must
[41:38]then you could keep it on but if it's mainly for zena
[41:44]then you should take it off but if it's you're always wearing
[41:47]it because it's must it's recommended to wear to wear a then
[41:52]you could keep it on but if it's for anything else take
[41:55]it off so this is um Ador applying lotion oils um what
[42:04]about what about women using facial uh lotions and sunscreen also you
[42:08]cannot you cannot unless you're going to be in the sun and
[42:13]the doctor told you you're going to you know it's going to
[42:15]be very unbearable for you then here because it's a medical condition
[42:21]then you're allowed to but otherwise you're only going to be in
[42:24]theam we're going to be in theam at night so you don't
[42:27]you don't need to we about the Sun during you're going to
[42:28]have to worry about the sun right now you're not going to
[42:32]have to worry about it so um shampoo no shampoo that sented
[42:36]and during no shampoo at all yes no no no oils nothing
[42:49]none of that none of that during the Haj when we perform
[42:52]the Hajj after you do after most of the are done then
[42:59]you could do then you could put on shampoo but right now
[43:01]when we enter into the state of no shampoo um that is
[43:07]scented of course if you put on a unscented shampoo before the
[43:11]Gul and there's no no scent remaining you just cleaned yourself there's
[43:14]nothing wrong with that but if the shampoo leaves a scent then
[43:22]you should not use it yes um yes MDI would use like
[43:29]shampoo or anything unscented shampoo you could use if it's unscented shampoo
[43:33]because it's going to wash off but you shouldn't leave something on
[43:35]your body you know some people they take a shower and they
[43:37]stand in front of the mirror they put all these lotions on
[43:41]can't do that you're going to you have to wash everything off
[43:45]so um shaving or removing any hair from the body you can't
[43:53]do that um covering the face for women women can't cover their
[43:57]face yesk so if you want to wear a mask they've allowed
[44:03]it Scholars have allowed it because of fear of covid or any
[44:08]of that but um try not to try not to and wearing
[44:15]of covering of the face before it was it was seen as
[44:17]a gesture of hierarchy I'm better than you no one's allowed to
[44:22]see you know so this is a we're just we're all the
[44:24]slaves of Allah subhana wa ta'ala and and there's going to be
[44:29]no makeup on of course so that's it it's all um if
[44:33]unless a lady they Scholars say unless a lady felt uncomfortable with
[44:38]men looking at her even though that shouldn't be the case here
[44:42]in M but I've heard of some cases where sometimes it might
[44:46]happen you're going to see people from all over the world if
[44:48]a lady felt like a man or someone was looking at her
[44:51]in an indecent way she's allowed to cover her face but other
[44:54]than that you can't the face should not be covered um can
[45:00]men shave before and at the hotel before Gul you could do
[45:02]whatever you want before Gul you could do you're not in the
[45:04]you're not in the state ofam but you shouldn't leave anything that
[45:09]for example if you put after shave it leaves a smell then
[45:12]you should not do that you should wash it off um traveling
[45:17]under shade for men so we mentioned this during men cannot travel
[45:22]under shade women can women I mean if the ladies they wanted
[45:25]to get on the bus and leave at 3:00 12:00 whenever and
[45:29]and go if there's one man for example in the family the
[45:32]man could pay the kafar and they leave earlier you you have
[45:36]the hotel booked over there and the hotel booked here it's easier
[45:39]there are some groups they say you know what we're we're going
[45:43]to pay the kafar and we're going to go but we should
[45:44]not do that we shouldn't do something purposely pay kafar we should
[45:47]try to avoid that this is why we're going to wait until
[45:50]close to then we're going to go to m um causing yourself
[45:56]to bleed making yourself bleed picking on something pulling a hair doing
[46:01]something that makes yourself bleed you're not allowed to do that clipping
[46:05]of nails that's it um this is why what I recommend is
[46:10]clean yourself your body if you have hair falling out or or
[46:14]your your nails are a little bit long whatever it is get
[46:18]that get get that ready before you enter into the state ofam
[46:21]so that for example you don't have a hair that you want
[46:25]to pull or or some or nail that's kind of long and
[46:27]when we're walking in you're going to be walking there's like thousands
[46:32]of people and you're your toes if your toenails are long it's
[46:36]going to hit someone yeah I I always get kicked you know
[46:40]there's there you're walking imagine people stuck to one another and they're
[46:44]all walking in a circle so make sure you you know clip
[46:47]your toenails so that you don't hurt anyone or it doesn't for
[46:52]example you kick something the nail the nail comes up and then
[46:55]you start bleeding and then it's going to be a mess for
[46:58]you so because when we're in M we're going to be barefoot
[47:00]uh of course the sisters can be wearing socks but the men
[47:08]are Barefoot um to lie to swear or to brag so in
[47:12]you can't lie oh you can't joke around you can't brag I
[47:17]am from this family and I'm this family and I have this
[47:19]and I have that none of that and to say and to
[47:27]swear this is Haram you cannot do that if you do that
[47:31]there's kafar on that yes sister yes sunglasses are not allowed yes
[47:37]go ahead so for kids if a kid is M meaning they're
[47:44]old enough to understand they know how to pray they know how
[47:48]to do the wo they know how to do everything properly then
[47:50]they could do it but if they're not b and they they're
[47:55]not at that level where they comprehend then they should not do
[47:58]it because if every kafar that comes on them the parents have
[48:00]to do it they have to give kafar so you have to
[48:04]be careful they don't need to sometimes some people they put their
[48:08]kids in the close of but they don't do the Nia because
[48:11]the moment you do the ni that's it they become they become
[48:14]and and it becomes the responsibility of the parents to make sure
[48:17]that they're doing everything correctly and if they do something wrong then
[48:22]the parents responsibility to to make sure that things are done correctly
[48:27]um 10-year-old girl 10-year-old girl is is um meaning she has she's
[48:33]praying now so she of course she's going to be um she's
[48:38]going to be in um I'm talking about like a four five-year-old
[48:41]six year-old someone that may not comprehend what they're doing um arguments
[48:46]this is also not allowed next slide please okay so what are
[48:56]the requirements for the omra when we when we we did the
[48:58]we did the we did the Nia and we wore theam and
[49:04]we did the tbia now we get in the bus and we're
[49:09]arriving into Mecca you arrive into Mecca you go to the hotel
[49:13]you drop off your belongings drop off your bag do you have
[49:19]to do wo the and the Salah of the TA require wo
[49:24]you need to do wo before entering into make it a habit
[49:30]to always be in the state of yes brother the is on
[49:37]but you're going to be a 4-Hour drive you might need to
[49:40]use the restroom whatever it is if you remained in wo then
[49:43]you remained in woo but if you did not then you need
[49:46]to be in the state of wo I ask question I was
[49:52]going to wait you mentioned if you have you cut yourself no
[49:56]bleeding but like you're saying when you're walking maybe somebody else you
[50:01]get kicked and you you start to bleed now does that break
[50:04]your doesn't break your wo no bleeding does not break your wo
[50:06]regardless does it break youram it doesn't break youram either but if
[50:10]you're bleeding you want to make sure you're not getting the Majid
[50:15]Nas you should like you have to probably stop for a little
[50:18]maybe put something on it a Band-Aid or or something to stop
[50:25]the bleeding yes um someone is saying um someone's wearing prescription glasses
[50:29]that automatically turn dark in the sun is this permissible yes this
[50:34]is you should try to avoid it but maybe some people their
[50:37]eyes are sensitive but try to avoid that but if if this
[50:42]is your glasses then this is not considered as um a type
[50:44]of Zena this is this is not an adornment this is something
[50:49]as a prescription yes count yes the of the counts as wo
[50:57]maybe some Scholars some Scholars say it doesn't but from what I
[51:03]know the majority say it does count as wo but regardless when
[51:08]we go to the hotel we're going to drop off our bags
[51:10]maybe grab something to eat a banana whatever it is something to
[51:17]give give you energy do the woo and I recommend everyone especially
[51:21]the first time when we're going when we're going the first time
[51:24]we're carry a bottle of water with you carry a bottle of
[51:30]water with you in a small uh small bag you know those
[51:32]drawstring bags you put your book of Dua in there you're going
[51:36]to put your sandals in there you're going to put the bottle
[51:39]of water why bottle of water is there no M no water
[51:42]in the Masjid no there's plenty of water in the Masjid it's
[51:44]actually mamam in the Masjid but you need the bottle in case
[51:50]you need to do with because the water they have over there
[51:53]is water for what water that is intent ended for drinking it's
[51:58]not intended for wo the water that's intended for wo is outside
[52:02]M you don't want to have to leave the Masid so you're
[52:04]you want to do wo really quick you just go and and
[52:08]you do wo really quick you carry you carry the a water
[52:10]bottle with you so that it won't be a problem if you
[52:14]had to do W because the TA it's it could take 45
[52:19]minutes it could take 20 minutes it depend depends on how busy
[52:22]it is so you're going to get crushed some people I know
[52:26]some people in the hotels there they serve the breakfast beans and
[52:29]and all these things so you're going to there's a chance that
[52:32]you Lo lose your wo you want to make sure that you
[52:37]have you have um you have a water bottle with you so
[52:44]now what so if you lose your you just stop right there
[52:48]and then keep walking in no in if you've passed four four
[52:56]rounds then you could go do wo but if you lost your
[52:58]wo before four rounds then you have to start all over yes
[53:03]so now what what is the what is what do you have
[53:06]to do to perform the omra what you what needs to be
[53:11]done we mentioned you're in the state of you arrive to Mecca
[53:14]we we're going to set a meeting point so we're going to
[53:22]say for example we arrived we left at 5 6 M probably
[53:26]12:00 12:31 we arrived to the hotel we have to we don't
[53:33]have to but it's better if we finish the before because once
[53:37]it comes close to F people start sitting they're getting ready for
[53:41]Salah it gets crowded the Sun comes out the sun is very
[53:46]hot even in December the Sun is hot so you want to
[53:48]make sure that we are not wasting time some people oh let
[53:52]me go do this they saw the store here let me go
[53:55]check out the store let me going this is not the time
[53:57]for that you're going to have time to go shopping right now
[54:00]is you go you drop off your stuff if you're really hungry
[54:03]you need medicine whatever it is you take it you do the
[54:07]woo and we meet in the lobby we we meet in the
[54:13]lobby and then we all walk out to mam we're going to
[54:16]walk out to mam you're going to slowly you're going to enter
[54:21]into Mam and suddenly you're going to see the Kaa in front
[54:26]of you and you're going to see people walking around the Kaa
[54:29]mil thousands of people nonstop 247 walking around the Kaa when you
[54:37]see the Kaa ask Allah for whatever is in your heart ask
[54:39]Allah pray for the Believers pray for the M the Hadith says
[54:42]that the Dua is accepted when you see the Kaa so this
[54:47]is a moment of spirituality this is a moment ask Allah what's
[54:50]in your heart do Dua during that time you ask Allah subh
[54:56]you see the there's a few duas we're going to recite them
[55:02]together then what do what needs to be done we have to
[55:07]perform so how is the TA performed the is seven times circumambulating
[55:16]around the Kaa seven times we walk around the Kaa Where Do
[55:20]We Begin from We Begin from so the KA has four corners
[55:27]one corner is called the the corner of the black stone how
[55:32]are you going to know that that's the corner of the black
[55:36]stone in mam there's a green light there's a green light because
[55:38]when people are walking not everyone's able to see the Kaa and
[55:41]the black stone it's cover there's people walking you see the green
[55:47]light so we're going to have to slowly get into the get
[55:50]into the circular motion but when you're when you're performing ta you
[55:55]cannot turn your shoulder against the Kaa so your shoulder your left
[55:59]shoulder has to always be flat with the Kaa so for example
[56:04]the Kaa is here my shoulder is this way and I'm walking
[56:10]and I keep my shoulder with the Kaa can I do this
[56:11]I can't do this can I do this can I turn my
[56:16]face and say hey guys come this way no I want to
[56:19]call someone I say come here you know I I could talk
[56:23]to someone but I I signal to them but my shoulder has
[56:25]to always be with the KA and I should not turn my
[56:30]shoulder from the Kaa so we start at before starting we have
[56:35]to get into that circular motion before you can't just walk in
[56:38]and suddenly you're in the TA so you might have to do
[56:42]a a full circle before and we slowly walk into the TA
[56:44]because people are walking so how are we going to enter into
[56:48]the TA we're not going to walk like this while people are
[56:50]walking this way we go we we get in in the position
[56:54]that they're in and we slowly walk to the left we slowly
[56:58]get to the left until we make it in where we're supposed
[57:00]to be then we start walking straight because we can't do this
[57:05]and walk this way it would it would disturb the TA for
[57:09]for for other people so once we get in the the the
[57:14]is going to begin you do the I do around the seven
[57:23]rounds if you were doing it on behalf of someone else you
[57:35]say so we're going we do the TA you start at the
[57:41]and the the the you go one full circle around you come
[57:48]back here this is this counts as one then you go again
[57:51]2 3 4 5 6 seven during these time this time you
[58:00]do not turn your face you do not turn your head you
[58:02]could turn your neck but your shoulder you should not turn it
[58:07]you do not touch the Kaa no touching of the Kaa you're
[58:09]going to get really close to the Kaa you don't touch the
[58:12]Kaa you're going to get close to you know what is is
[58:19]that half half circle that is where is is buried and his
[58:22]mother and hundreds of prophets are buried in that area 10 of
[58:27]prophets they're buried in that area that is because that might be
[58:30]a part of the KA so this is why you don't put
[58:33]even your hand above is about this High don't put your hand
[58:37]above it because you want to do around the Kaa you don't
[58:41]want to be in the Kaa while performing ta so you do
[58:43]that after you could go kiss the Kaa you could go touch
[58:47]after you're done but during this time you do seven times you
[58:49]go around once you finish seven rounds during each you could do
[58:57]Dua you could ask Allah anything you want any Dua on your
[59:01]mind allaham there's duas for the has a Dua has a Dua
[59:06]has a Dua if you don't know the duas or you separated
[59:09]from the group you just do whatever Dua any Dua that you
[59:14]know ask Allah once you finish what's next the TA is finished
[59:18]now what what needs to be done next this is a pop
[59:24]quiz Salah Salah so every every ta has two and every ta
[59:32]is seven rounds there's no I want to do extra I feel
[59:37]more energy today let me do eight or nine or 10 no
[59:39]seven rounds this is you can't do less you can't do more
[59:44]if I mentioned earlier if you had to leave the TA if
[59:50]you left or Salah time allahar and became Salah time if you
[59:53]had done four four rounds you had done then you pray or
[59:58]you go use the restroom you do wo you do whatever you
[59:59]have to do then you come back and you finish you you
[60:03]finish where you left off but if you had not reached four
[60:09]then you have to start from the beginning so the TA is
[60:11]seven rounds around the Kaa and every has two prayer where do
[60:16]you pray that two prayer behind ibim m ibim is that golden
[60:22]dome it's it's about it's about 50 MERS away from the Kaa
[60:28]so we're going to go behind if you look in there you're
[60:33]going to see Footprints of ibraim alam this was this was something
[60:37]that ibraim would stand on it would Elevate and he would be
[60:41]able to build the along with his son so this Wasim Allah
[60:52]says go and pray where ibraim used to pray Subhan Allah Allah
[60:59]wants you to pray where ibraim prayed so here you go and
[61:03]you stand where you see IIM in front of you and uh
[61:07]the is also in front of you you pray two prayer what
[61:11]is the I pray two prayer for the the could be in
[61:18]any language but you should say it utter it so you know
[61:22]what you're saying um I'm so try to keep the Nia in
[61:29]your mind write it down but as long as you know what
[61:31]you're doing like for example I'm doing this this is this is
[61:36]and you know what you're doing then this is sufficient as well
[61:41]but try to know the Nia and we will we will go
[61:46]over this many times so then you do the two prayer now
[61:48]we did The Prayer by the way the first time the group
[61:54]is all together we enter into the TA and what happens to
[61:56]the group someone gets lost over there someone gets lost over here
[62:03]we have no control there's no way of making sure 100 people
[62:07]or 70 people 50 people are all together this is why before
[62:12]you enter into the TA make sure you have someone with you
[62:15]one partner who knows what they're doing go over what needs to
[62:17]be done or you you stick to you stick with a group
[62:23]three four people five people say listen if we separated from them
[62:26]at least we will not separate we will stay together we don't
[62:31]turn our backs we know what we're doing we stick together because
[62:34]there's going to be there's going to be thousands of people there
[62:37]we enter together but then the moment we enter T first round
[62:42]we're all together and then suddenly people start going this way this
[62:45]way and it's it's a motion you you might lose it but
[62:50]it's not a big deal this happens every time we end up
[62:52]we we say okay we're going to meet uh after ta we're
[62:57]going to meet here we're going to perform uh the Salah IIM
[63:00]after ibim you go drink some water you're going to be tired
[63:06]you're going to be a little bit you know sweating maybe whatever
[63:10]it is then we have to go and perform the between saf
[63:17]and so behind IIM when when you pray the is here is
[63:21]here you're praying here where's the M the is behind you so
[63:27]Safa is this way and Mara is this way so turn around
[63:31]turn around leave from your behind you some people they say I
[63:33]don't know where the Mas is should I go this way that
[63:36]way because the whole mam is a big circle leave behind you
[63:39]you go you're closer to the mar you have to walk that
[63:43]way to walk so turn around and walk that way you go
[63:45]towards the Safa there are two mountains Safa and Mara you have
[63:51]to do between sa and and we will explain the story this
[63:54]is where ha she began to run between the saf and Mar
[63:58]she wanted water for is you begin at saf we will we
[64:04]will all walk to Safa together if you if you end up
[64:06]being alone you know what you need to do you go to
[64:13]Safa you say I do between and for now you're on the
[64:21]M you're on saf and it's a little Hill it's it used
[64:26]to be a big mountain they've shaved it all off and they've
[64:28]kind of made it small but you make sure you go a
[64:32]little bit up where you feel like you're on the mountain of
[64:34]course you're not able to they put glass you can't go really
[64:39]high but as long as you're on the foot on the foothill
[64:40]you know you feel a little bit of elevation then you you
[64:47]you face Mara Mara is on the other side and you also
[64:49]in the also you have to make sure that your your shoulder
[64:53]is not turned this way or that way so when I'm walking
[64:55]towards Mara I'm walking straight line when I'm walking back I'm walking
[65:01]back a straight line so I face the Mara and I begin
[65:04]walking I begin walking try to stay between the mountain Safa and
[65:11]marwa so one thing that they have done right now is they've
[65:15]expanded the Mas they've added they've added space outside of mam to
[65:21]to make more room for people walking but this space to the
[65:26]far right the where Safa is behind you the far right this
[65:28]is not between Safa and Mara anymore this is between two walls
[65:33]so you have to walk on the left side walk on the
[65:35]left side so that Safa is behind you and Mara is in
[65:38]front of you the W the right the left side of the
[65:41]the route the direction that is walking towards Mara then you turn
[65:45]around once you reach marwa you go a little bit up and
[65:48]then you turn around and then you start walking to Safa and
[65:51]there's duas for each sh walking this way and then coming back
[65:54]soit walking from saf to Mara this counts as one from marwa
[66:01]to Safa counts as two so don't think that you have to
[66:06]go do a full circle and this count as one no one
[66:07]time you walk this counts as one you come back this counts
[66:13]as two go three 4 5 6 7 where do you finish
[66:18]in marwa you finish and Mar during the W is not required
[66:25]so uh if for example after the TA you had to use
[66:30]the restroom whatever it is you could you could um you could
[66:35]wear sandals as well because there's a lot of people walking there's
[66:37]a place in the m in the middle of the Mas you
[66:43]also see two green lights this is where in one narration ha
[66:47]she she would hear the crying of is and she would start
[66:50]running she would start her you know running a little bit faster
[66:55]another narration says that when he came to meca the one time
[66:59]to perform and the they're all watching he passed by these men
[67:08]he tells the Muslims let's let's run to show them strength and
[67:11]the sound you could hear the sound of the running so this
[67:17]the men have to kind of jog here go a little bit
[67:18]faster this is for the men not for the women to uh
[67:21]but where you see the lights you're going to see everyone they're
[67:24]going to go a little bit faster in that location so this
[67:28]is you once you finish at Mar then you do one thing
[67:35]one thing to carry now not everyone needs to carry this every
[67:40]five people every few people carry a scissor with you or carry
[67:45]nail clippers with you so at you say I do to get
[68:01]out of to get out of of you cut your nail or
[68:06]you cut a little bit of your hair just just a few
[68:11]pieces you cut them and then you're out ofam that's it you
[68:13]don't need to shave you don't need to do all that this
[68:17]is this is just this is just cutting a little bit of
[68:19]the hair a little bit of that for the Sisters as well
[68:22]under the hijab you you cut now you're out of the so
[68:29]now technically technically you could go back to the hotel you could
[68:32]go take a shower you could wash your body you could put
[68:35]shampoo you could put deodorant you could put whatever you want and
[68:41]you're out of the but is the done no there's one thing
[68:46]that needs to be done what is that there's every all of
[68:52]all of those things the The Cutting of the hair could be
[68:56]completed we prefer it's completed at the location because when you complete
[69:01]it at the location we're going to go and do unless you
[69:05]don't plan on doing you're really tired you don't plan on doing
[69:09]then you could go cut your hair anywhere but try to get
[69:13]out ofam as soon as possible so that you could say w
[69:17]I had fun you could you know you could say say a
[69:19]few things here and there so get get out of theam as
[69:26]soon as possible and that was for you ABI so um Carry
[69:29]carry your your your scissors yeah so do we need nail clippers
[69:34]and scissors yes I said we not everyone needs to carry but
[69:37]maybe like we we have a few in the group usually we're
[69:40]like someone who brings whoever brings he regrets bringing it because everyone
[69:46]borrows it so if so you could cut for somebody else after
[69:50]you've cut for yourself because you're not allowed to cut hair unless
[69:53]you you've you've cut for yourself you're done for yourself then you
[69:59]then you could cut for someone else so we're going to finish
[70:02]I when we do the we do it all together we do
[70:07]does not have Salah then we go and we do is going
[70:13]to be closer to F time if especially if we got late
[70:17]if it if we were kind of delayed it's going to be
[70:20]closer to F it's going to get more crowded maybe some years
[70:26]we with some years we so late that we have to start
[70:28]after so it's all your comfort you youve you already know how
[70:34]to do the TA now you have to be in wo so
[70:38]if you lost wo if you need to change if you need
[70:39]to do whatever you you go and you do the TA again
[70:45]starting at the green light at the seven times around and then
[70:48]two prayer and your is officially done this could would last between
[70:55]2 to 3 4 hours it's not that long it's not that
[71:01]long but considering you were in the the you know the day
[71:04]before at noon time we you did the probably 4:00 you did
[71:10]the we went to M we got in the car we drove
[71:15]for four hours we arrived at night we do the that takes
[71:17]about 3 to 4 hours you might finish before fud you might
[71:23]finish after fuder then you go to to the hotel and you
[71:26]rest so this is this is the um the TA um so
[71:33]I had this um the slide that was that was ready for
[71:39]um can you go to the next slide oh apparently we didn't
[71:42]change any of the slides so this one okay let me see
[71:50]yes so s between saf and Mar and then things to do
[71:58]in Mecca so what what could you do oh someone asked a
[72:01]very important question is only for men no it's only for women
[72:08]just kidding no it's for everyone it's for it's called but this
[72:13]is because it allows marriage once again so even if you're not
[72:17]married you need to you need to um perform otherwise you will
[72:24]not be able to get married in the future so you have
[72:27]to do this is one of the rituals that needs to be
[72:32]done when we go to we do the we do everything but
[72:36]we leave it at the end after the Haj but this time
[72:43]because we're doing we're doing the we um we we do it
[72:45]all together how come you can't touch the Kaa because when you
[72:49]touch the Kaa you have to do ta around the Kaa you
[72:50]could touch it after after you're done with the um with the
[72:56]after the you could go touch the but during the you cannot
[72:59]do we get to pray at MIM and beside the Kaa of
[73:03]course yes you could pray at M IIM and beside the Kaa
[73:08]so um once this is done you could do another om the
[73:16]next day or the next hour if you wanted to some people
[73:18]they go they fly in and they they're only there for for
[73:22]example 12 hours they go back they go to m this time
[73:25]which is only like 20 minutes away they enter into the is
[73:30]recommended but it's good to do and then um they go to
[73:35]they go back and they do the but keep in mind you
[73:40]cannot be covering yourself if you're a man so if you're doing
[73:42]it during the day you have to if you're if you're in
[73:45]a bus or in a car that's covered you have to pay
[73:46]kafar one sheep so that goes to the poor people okay um
[73:55]what should we do if someone tries to pickpocket us this is
[74:01]a possibility this is why when you enter into when you enter
[74:05]into the in in especially when you're the first time someone might
[74:10]be you're in the TA don't take money with you don't take
[74:15]money with you I've been to Hajj and people they lost thousands
[74:17]of dollars the first time they went in the they either lost
[74:20]it or there are people there Unfortunately they you know they take
[74:22]advantage of of people there's safes in the hotel leave it in
[74:28]the hotel carry $100 with you carry a 100 real with you
[74:30]you don't need to carry that much when you're going especially when
[74:34]you're now later on you're wearing normal clothes you could you're not
[74:37]going to do ta you could carry with you but no need
[74:42]to carry that much um money with you so so um this
[74:46]is this is things that need to be done while while you
[74:52]are performing the omra it's recommended to do multiple but only one
[74:55]can be done during the Islamic month you could do on behalf
[74:57]of other people every prayer so right now you go and you
[75:05]pray a two prayer also is like every Salah tried to go
[75:11]and pray it in you you go and you pray there and
[75:14]this time the two prayer in M was worth 10,000 M mam
[75:22]it's worth 100,000 100,000 you go and you pray you get the
[75:26]theab of praying in Mecca there's not that many attractions outside of
[75:32]Mecca one thing that one place that we will definitely go to
[75:38]and this is the cemetery of M or hun cemetery and this
[75:43]is where uh Abu Talib is buried and Abdul mutb the grandfather
[75:47]of R and the uncle of and khad so we will go
[75:51]and we will she was she passed away in Mecca before the
[75:54]prophet migrated to Madina we will go there and we will recite
[76:01]the Zara uh no this is this is the cemetery right now
[76:05]there's hotels built there and it's like it's a part of it's
[76:07]really close to the Kaa that's in that's really close the cemetery
[76:13]we we'll take a bus and we'll go to the cemetery yes
[76:15]and also there's the Cave of the cave of it requires a
[76:28]hike so it's a steep it's a steep um Hill and there's
[76:30]a cave on top there's a cave if you're up for it
[76:34]you do it if you're not up for it it's not must
[76:38]it's not there's nothing that you don't need to do there if
[76:43]you feel like it's going to exhaust you take away your energy
[76:45]you don't need to do that but some people they want the
[76:46]experience you could go up there there's a cave in the mountain
[76:51]and some people they pray it's room for one or two people
[76:53]people you go and and you pray there and before you would
[76:58]be able to see the Kaa The Prophet would see the Kaa
[77:00]and pray there now theyve put all these hotels and these buildings
[77:06]where you don't see the Kaa anymore so this is um this
[77:10]is it with with the the of the if anyone has any
[77:16]questions please feel free to ask uh please let me know if
[77:18]this is recorded I yes we're going to share a recorded link
[77:23]inshallah yes brother a watch while you could wear a watch if
[77:28]you need time even though there's the Big Clock Tower it's looking
[77:32]over you so um there's there's there's clocks everywhere but if you
[77:37]if you need a watch yeah you could wear a watch unless
[77:40]it's a really fancy watch yes oh so if you did another
[77:56]the next day yes you have to cut your hair but you
[77:58]don't need to cut a lot you just cut like you know
[78:01]this much a few strands yes cut you could cut nails you
[78:05]could cut hair yeah um if if someone doesn't have hair they
[78:11]cut their nails if someone doesn't have nails or hair or nothing
[78:16]not even anything then they just pass the like the the what
[78:18]is it the razor just above their head as if they're imagining
[78:22]they're cutting the imag hair they have so yes you go to
[78:34]and there um yes there so it should be at night unless
[78:38]the sisters could go during the day but I don't recommend doing
[78:42]this type of activity during the day because it gets really hot
[78:45]ta during the day gets really hot I always we go and
[78:50]we we go we do ta at night so even if if
[78:53]you don't want to do you don't want to have to go
[78:58]in in the state of you go to and do you do
[78:59]seven times you walk and you do two prayer this is also
[79:13]yes um can you repeat that sorry to city and come back
[79:22]to do on of obious it could be more than one person
[79:24]it could be more than one person anytime you're doing on behalf
[79:27]of another person you could do multiple people even the first time
[79:30]say for example you say my first time I want to do
[79:34]it on behalf of my parents you're allowed to do that anytime
[79:36]it's on behalf of other people and it's recommended for Haj you
[79:41]can't do that for example Hajj it has to be on one
[79:43]person but uh the waj Hajj but for the um for the
[79:48]recommended it could be multiple it could be all the M you
[79:53]could do yes um some someone asked do we have to pray
[79:55]this is a very important question in and in you are meaning
[80:01]you could choose you want to pray KAS you pray KAS you
[80:05]want to pray full you could pray full there are four mosques
[80:07]four mosques that you are one is the second is the third
[80:16]ISF and the fourth is Hussein near near the grave of IM
[80:22]Hussein in inside the room that the ofin is these places you
[80:28]are so um other than that so right now we we go
[80:33]to Medina even though we're only there for 3 four days you
[80:35]could pray full uh as prayer you could pray full s did
[80:40]you have question okay yes only so yes because we're not sure
[80:53]if if it's supposed inside so in the hotel if you're praying
[80:59]in the hotel yes yes if you look at your like phone
[81:05]or watch or anything like that you're like inev going to see
[81:08]your reflection on there no this is not looking in the mirror
[81:11]this is seeing your reflection is is different from looking in the
[81:17]mirror purposely trying to look in the mirror to yes yeah who
[81:21]had a question um is there any way we can put together
[81:25]the and for each step inshallah we will send them in the
[81:31]group based on um the order and what we will be performing
[81:36]so this is these are the of the and um this is
[81:42]basically we covered all of it then there's going to be Zara
[81:47]of for those who are joining toq the Zara doesn't require that
[81:51]much do Dua for believers keep other people in your mind and
[81:54]we will perform and we will recite the Zara as we as
[81:59]we go there but this is this is it with the with
[82:04]the um try to you know we we go to m try
[82:07]to recite Quran instead of sitting looking around walking or just talking
[82:11]there's going to be a lot of waiting time we're waiting for
[82:13]Salah you're you heard the firstan now you're waiting until Salah time
[82:17]instead of doing things give yourself a challenge for example say I'm
[82:23]going to recite a of Quran I'm going to recite this Dua
[82:26]I'm going to recite the Zar of the Prophet I'm going to
[82:29]pray on behalf of my parents I'm going to pray on behalf
[82:31]of the do do these things this is a once in A-
[82:35]lifetime or some people could go a couple times but you're not
[82:37]we're not always sitting in these places so this is an opportunity
[82:42]that we take advantage of yes Haj so say they're allowing us
[82:44]to take our phones in you could take your phone in and
[82:49]you could take pictures before they would not allow that so so
[82:54]you you could do all these things and one thing I recommend
[82:57]everyone if you don't know you learn it how to perform Sal
[83:03]the midnight prayer because we're going to go to waiting for f
[83:08]prayer an hour before some people go two hours before 3 hours
[83:10]before the earlier you go the closer you will be to the
[83:16]the the grave of the Prophet the the closer you go especially
[83:19]for the brothers you you might even be able to pray in
[83:23]the if you go later you're going to pray in the in
[83:25]the back so we we try to go earlier like at least
[83:30]an hour an hour and a half two hours before and you
[83:34]do the Zar of the prophet and you learn how to perform
[83:37]sal sal is 11 we have to um we have to bring
[83:43]there are plenty of qurans over there all the mosques have qurans
[83:46]you want to read from your phone you want to read from
[83:50]the Quran you could do whatever you want yes how about using
[83:53]the T good question using the turba if you pray with the
[83:57]turba inside M and they see you get away from and in
[84:02]it's not going to be a it's a problem because they've put
[84:08]all the whole Masjid is carpet as rugs so what do you
[84:12]do in this case either if you could hide your turba they
[84:15]don't see it this is something that you could do you put
[84:19]it you like you don't you don't let it show when you
[84:21]when you get up you you take it and you put it
[84:23]in your pocket or you're praying somewhere in the back where there's
[84:27]no one walking around usually the closer you are to the grave
[84:30]of the Prophet the more authorities there are and they're watching but
[84:33]if you're far no one's going to even see you um this
[84:39]is one second is some of the sias some of the the
[84:41]they are made out of soil especially if you go toala you're
[84:47]going to see those or it's rock any you could pray on
[84:49]any Rock any wood you could pray on so if you have
[84:54]something that is wooden something that is the tur of Hussein that
[84:57]is a you make it a pile and you you do on
[85:02]it you you could do suud on it or is the uh
[85:08]straw the straw mat or um that some of them they have
[85:15]them sewn on the S on the prayer mat so so you
[85:17]could you could do sujud on that there's nothing wrong with that
[85:20]you could have your SJ with you you you you pray with
[85:21]it wherever you go you could have it there a paper one
[85:26]thing I sometimes I do to not attract attention to not have
[85:31]to worry about keep picking it up and putting it back in
[85:34]what we do is we go and we stand where the end
[85:38]of the carpet is so say for example the carpet finishes here
[85:42]I stand here and I do suud on the on the marble
[85:43]right here what yeah the divider this is where you see the
[85:49]only that's where you see all the Shia standing there and they're
[85:53]kind of a little bit ahead in the line because they they
[85:56]want to do suud on the um on the marble so these
[86:00]are all things that you could do one thing I really really
[86:03]you know I can't say this enough is don't bump heads with
[86:10]the authorities don't say I'm sh I'm proud and this and that
[86:12]these guys you can't talk logic with them you tell them no
[86:19]this is what said this they don't understand that so don't bump
[86:23]heads with anyone because it will ruin your trip it will ruin
[86:28]your and it will get you in trouble and you don't you
[86:29]don't want to have to deal with that you go in as
[86:32]a visitor and you leave as a visitor try not to bump
[86:36]heads you might find when you're for example visiting the trying to
[86:39]visit the prophet they come and they push you away don't do
[86:43]this or things like that you walk you take a few steps
[86:47]and and if they you Tred to finish it and if they
[86:48]didn't allow you that's it you walk Allah knows what's in your
[86:52]heart Allah knows what's in your your heart so try not to
[86:55]bump heads and try not to get yourself in trouble while you
[87:00]are there be care yes the prophet kissed the and there's there's
[87:14]another corner it's called the corner that's facing Yen and that is
[87:18]the corner that you see the cracks in the Kaa and you
[87:21]see Nails in the Kaa that is where the Kaa opened for
[87:23]the birth of when his mother went in the Kaa so these
[87:27]are two corners right by each other you're it's recommended to touch
[87:31]those corners and ask Allah and do Dua at those corners but
[87:36]if the is very crowded so I've been to Mecca many times
[87:39]many years I don't even attempt to touch it because you're going
[87:44]to you're it's really really crowded but some people if you can
[87:48]you either put your hand in there or if you're able to
[87:52]kiss it and and one place that is recommended to pray in
[87:57]is inside there's a line you go and you wait in line
[88:01]you get in and you pray under the this is the drain
[88:09]and there it's it's also it's called the that is where meaning
[88:14]the the sins will be destroyed in that area where where you
[88:18]pray and you ask Allah for forgiveness try to get in there
[88:24]to pray two and try to pray for your Believers and for
[88:30]the it's a rock they say it was an angel it was
[88:35]white and then it turned black it whatever it is it is
[88:40]a stone that the prophet kissed the prophet kissed it and the
[88:43]prophet honored it so the Muslims they do that in following of
[88:49]the Sunnah of yes okay so I think we are done if
[88:56]anyone has any questions they could send the questions on the um
[89:02]on the chat thank youc
