[0:02][Applause] [Music] thank you manage like we know the holy month of

[0:34]Ramadan is the month of the Holy Quran as that famous and

[0:38]oft-quoted Hadith of the messenger of God that for everything there is

[0:51]a peak there is a climax and the climax of the Holy

[0:53]Quran is during the holy month of Ramadan the idea is to

[0:59]exert ourselves in focus and reflection and in contemplation with this holy

[1:05]book of Allah but like we know as well it's not easy

[1:08]it's not particularly something simple for us to navigate the book of

[1:17]Allah and for many people we see it as something very distant

[1:20]as something that needs some sort of demystifying so to say something

[1:24]that's only for the prophet or for the imams or for that's

[1:28]really not the case the Holy Quran is meant to be a

[1:33]book that is easy and accessible to navigate for anyone and for

[1:38]everyone we create a lot of blockades and barriers between our engagement

[1:42]of it but at the end of the day Allah has revealed

[1:46]this most important book his word for anyone and for everyone to

[1:50]take benefit from regardless of our age our gender our religiosity or

[1:57]so on and so forth that do you not contemplate upon this

[2:06]book or upon your heart is there a look numerous times God

[2:11]calls us toward being inquisitive being curious being reflective navigating the ayat

[2:19]the words the beauty truly of this book but how can we

[2:22]do that in a more practical way it's really important for us

[2:27]first of all to understand and get past the very first barrier

[2:29]between us and the Quran I realize and I recognize that it's

[2:34]so difficult to navigate it because of years and of layers worth

[2:38]of people telling us just how difficult just how you know challenging

[2:41]it is to navigate but we need to shatter and change our

[2:43]perception and realize that this book is a beautiful book and that

[2:49]this whole Quran is meant to be a source by again which

[2:51]we take inspiration from on a day-to-day basis and again it's meant

[2:56]to be a mercy it's meant to be a guide not something

[2:58]that we should struggle with once we get past that stage all

[3:04]that requires for us is to take a couple of moments of

[3:06]our days particularly during these holy nights in days within the sacred

[3:10]month of Ramadan to spend five or seven minutes reading the verses

[3:15]of this Holy Quran reading the translation and contemplating upon its verses

[3:21]toward contemplating toward reflecting how exactly do we do that do something

[3:25]as simple as when you're reading any one of the anecdotes the

[3:28]story of Adam or of new or of Ibrahim or of Musa

[3:33]or verisa or the famous story of Yusuf and Yahoo whatever anecdote

[3:40]that might be present Quran as you're going through it try to

[3:43]put your own feet your own shoes so to say in that

[3:47]circumstance and in that situation how would you navigate would you be

[3:53]on the side of Musa or on the side of the Pharaoh

[3:54]when you were being compelled toward looking out as Allah consistently tells

[4:01]us that we have created this creation and we have allowed for

[4:06]the rotation of night and today and day into night that actually

[4:09]pause close your book or turn off your phone and look outside

[4:14]and appreciate and contemplate that which Allah is calling toward numerous times

[4:19]he begins ayat by stating do you not see do you not

[4:24]see how we created the creation do not see the mood and

[4:28]the stun and the stars and the oceans and the rivers and

[4:31]so on and so forth Allah wants us to read those verses

[4:36]and not only look down but to look up and to appreciate

[4:38]the creation that's around us again my friends I remind myself before

[4:42]anyone else that the whole Quran is meant to be a book

[4:47]it is a practical handbook or guidebook for the human being it's

[4:50]not only meant to be something that individuals historically and content temporarily

[4:57]steady its Linguistics and seek toward allowing for it to interpret depths

[5:03]of theology or for us to extract law and jurisprudence of course

[5:06]that's really important and it's something undoubtedly that is so essential toward

[5:11]our religious tradition but at the same time the whole Quran is

[5:14]meant to be something for each and every one of us all

[5:19]it takes is for us to sit in front of it and

[5:23]to study it for five to seven minutes a day to start

[5:28]and slowly we increase our growth and capacity with the holy book

[5:33]of Allah and my dear friends in addition to that when we

[5:38]are reading the Holy Quran it's important to understand that at the

[5:42]beginning of this journey of reflecting or of contemplating upon it like

[5:46]anything else it might be difficult it might be challenging but the

[5:51]more that we read the more that we spend time we'll begin

[5:54]to see that Allah he opens up our heart and he opens

[6:00]up our souls and allows for us to consistently be more receptive

[6:04]such that we are able to find a little bit of a

[6:06]deeper depth every single time as we are reading and reflecting upon

[6:13]these beautiful verses let us make the most of it being the

[6:17]month of the Holy Quran and let us put forth an effort

[6:21]even albeit a small step such that we are able to develop

[6:26]a deep-seated relationship with the book of Allah and allow for it

[6:30]to be a source of guidance and of light for each and

[6:34]every one of us foreign [Music]
