[3:28]muham in respected brothers and sisters one of the greatest achievements of

[4:29]alai wasam was in addition to Bringing people to spirituality to God

[4:36]Consciousness to worshiping Allah subhanahu waala and letting go of Idols was

[4:44]able to create a community he was able to bring people together

[4:49]despite their differences despite their different social status their different racial identity

[4:58]their different language and colors was able to bring these different people

[5:07]together and create a community and in fact he not only created

[5:15]just an average Community he created the greatest of communities where Allah

[5:19]subhah wa tala says in the Quran you became the best you

[5:35]became the ideal Community through and was able to unite people and

[5:41]Allah says in the Quran hold on to the Rope of God

[5:54]all and do not be divided and remember the blessing of God

[6:00]upon you when you were enemies you were fighting one another you

[6:10]did not cooperate with one another but now you are companions now

[6:15]you are friends now you are all United in the same prayer

[6:19]room in the same mid and because of the blessing of God

[6:29]and the favor of God upon you you are brothers and this

[6:34]is what Islam says the Quran says the Quran teaches us the

[6:42]taught people to create solidarity with one another to consider themselves brothers

[6:48]and sisters with one another and you were close to the pit

[7:00]of fire but saved you through the religion of Islam so my

[7:07]dear brothers and sisters Allah subhah tala talks about the community that

[7:12]created in another verse Allah says in the Quran and we created

[7:23]you in a in a nation that is taking the middle path

[7:26]we created you in a community that takes the mid path so

[7:37]that your nation so that the community of the Muslims becomes the

[7:42]greatest of all communities and it Witnesses over other communities is a

[7:54]witness over and above all of you my dear brothers and sisters

[7:58]one of of the most difficult tasks in life is to bring

[8:06]different people together it's not an easy task maybe you could bring

[8:09]someone to pray maybe you could bring someone to fast maybe you

[8:13]could bring someone to believe in God but you cannot bring different

[8:18]people together it's really challenging it's very difficult because people have different

[8:22]ideas they come from different backgrounds different races and this is why

[8:26]we see the trouble and the suffering and the wars that are

[8:31]going on today because people can't get along this is why one

[8:34]of the most rewarding acts in Islam one of the most rewarding

[8:40]act in Islam an act that is worth even more than Salah

[8:44]and fasting is what bringing two different people together in his in

[8:53]his will he tells his two sons and B Hashim he tells

[9:00]them that the I heard from your grandfather say bringing two different

[9:12]people two Waring factions bringing them together the reward in the eyes

[9:18]of God is greater than all of the fasting and all of

[9:40]could get votes and you see it happening in other places as

[9:48]well so instead of focusing on division he focuses focused on Unity

[9:54]on bringing people together because at the end of the day in

[9:57]the eyes of Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala God is not going to look

[10:02]at you by the car that you're driving or the race or

[10:05]the color of skin or the passport that you're carrying no Allah

[10:21]says verily you have been created in male and female and Nations

[10:25]and tribes and the best in the eyes of Allah subhah wa

[10:30]ta'ala is the one that has the most piety the one that

[10:34]has the most God Consciousness that is the best in the eyes

[10:37]of Allah subh tala and look at the Quran while communities while

[10:41]some people focus on division some people they say my race is

[10:47]better than another race my color is better than another color this

[10:50]is one of the diseases that people fall in the Quran looks

[10:54]at differences as a plus it looks at it as a positive

[10:58]thing Allah says in the Quran when Allah says and from amongst

[11:10]the signs of God is that he created the heavens and the

[11:12]Earth and your different tongues and dialects and languages this is one

[11:18]of the signs of God Allah looks at it as one of

[11:20]the Miracles of Allah subhah wa ta'ala that we are different from

[11:26]one another and it is a plus some people they look at

[11:29]differences as a negative thing but in fact differences difference in race

[11:34]difference in ethnicity and nationality this is all a plus so my

[11:41]dear brothers and sisters was a uniter he brought people together but

[11:46]there is one major obstacle to Unity there's one major obstacle to

[11:51]Bringing people together and this is a challenge that we see many

[11:57]people dealing with right now and you see that and all of

[12:00]the prophets they had to deal with this and that is the

[12:06]arrogance of the heart when the heart becomes arrogant then it will

[12:10]be very difficult to guide this person it will be very difficult

[12:13]to bring this person closer to the truth maybe they could they

[12:17]will start believing maybe they'll start praying maybe they'll start fasting but

[12:20]that arrogance that will remain and if someone if people do not

[12:28]remove that from their own Hearts then it will be a disease

[12:30]that they will be dealing with for the rest of their lives

[12:36]today don't we don't we see the racism and the bigotry and

[12:39]the wars and the suffering this all goes back to arrogance this

[12:45]all goes back to the belief that some people have that one

[12:47]group of people are better than another group of people I am

[12:52]better than this person therefore I deserve to be happy therefore I

[12:55]deserve to live an enjoyable life and other people do not and

[12:59]and this is a disease this is a disease that will bring

[13:05]suffering Allah subhah wa tala talks about the first sin that was

[13:08]committed on Earth and that was the sin of arrogance were two

[13:13]sons of a prophet their father is a prophet Prophet Adam Allah

[13:18]subhah wa tala speaks to Adam and they knew very well that

[13:21]their father was a prophet they know very well the truth from

[13:27]the wrong but you see one of them had the of arrogance

[13:29]and pride and remember the story of the two sons of Adam

[13:46]where one sacrifice was accepted and the other was not accepted right

[13:52]away he said I'm going to kill you Kil Cain he says

[13:58]I'm going to kill habil Abel and he answers Allah accepts from

[14:10]those who have a clean pure heart and then he says he

[14:22]says I'm afraid of Allah subhana tala and I will not fall

[14:27]in the same trap that you fell in I will will not

[14:29]continue the bad that you are doing so my dear brothers and

[14:36]sisters we see he created a community and one of the ways

[14:39]to create a community is to remove that arrogance to remove that

[14:43]Pride remove the ill feelings towards other people and was able to

[14:52]do that how one of the first things he did was that

[14:55]he built a Masjid of course this was after the hij after

[15:00]migrating from meca to Medina the first thing one of the first

[15:03]things did was that he established a Masjid and the Masjid became

[15:11]the Hub of the community it became the focal point of the

[15:16]community and it became a place of unity it became a place

[15:21]where the rich and the poor and the black and the white

[15:23]and the master and the slave everyone they would Gather in the

[15:28]Masjid of if you look at a snapshot image of the people

[15:33]who are sitting in the of you will see a variety of

[15:39]people different people they're all gathered under the banner of under the

[15:44]guidance of Al one of the first things he did after establishing

[15:49]the Masjid he brings a colored person a black person bash B

[17:35]next to the wealthy person the wealthy person collected his clothes he

[17:46]even notice maybe we do that you never know so he came

[17:50]and he did that looked at him he tells him why did

[17:54]you do that are you afraid that his part poverty is going

[18:00]to transfer to you the man he thought for a second he

[18:05]said no he tells him are you afraid that your wealth is

[18:07]going to transfer to him he said no Allah then tell tells

[18:13]him then why did you do that he says this is a

[18:14]bad habit that I have and for your sake oh Allah I'm

[18:20]willing to give him onethird of all of my wealth onethird of

[18:24]all my wealth I recognize the fault that I do that I

[18:28]had I want to give him oneir of my wealth Allah tells

[18:32]the poor person this man is offering to give you onethird of

[18:35]his wealth the poor person he said nool Allah I don't want

[18:40]it I don't want it because I'm afraid that same thing will

[18:43]happen to me look at how Allah cleanse the hearts where the

[18:48]rich wants to give and the poor says no I'm happy the

[18:50]way I am this is how was able to bring people together

[18:56]of course the prophet was successful in creating a community in many

[19:00]ways there are many ways but perhaps one of the most important

[19:07]is that he treated himself the same way as he treated every

[19:10]single person in the community he was not a leader that would

[19:13]sit on a throne he was not a leader that would see

[19:19]himself above anyone else and describes he says he says the prophet

[19:31]would sit on the floor and eat and he used to sit

[19:37]on the floor like a slave and he used to fix his

[19:44]own sandals when it breaks and he used to fix his own

[19:53]patch his own clothes when they rip and he used to ride

[19:55]a c uh ride a donkey that does not have a saddle

[19:59]on it and this is a sign of humility this is a

[20:04]sign of someone who was humble this was so my dear brothers

[20:10]and sisters the prophet he con he considered himself one of the

[20:14]community this is how he became so successful in uniting the hearts

[20:17]because people they said this man who's preaching this man who's telling

[20:23]us he's not preaching over us he's seeing himself as one of

[20:26]us when he orders them to go to battle he would be

[20:31]in the front line this is even the man who's known for

[20:38]his bravery he says he says when the fighting became so severe

[20:47]we would seek refuge on Al meaning that the prophet was in

[20:54]the battlefield he was in the heart of the battle and he

[20:56]did not sit in the back and command Wars and Order Wars

[21:00]as what we see politicians are doing today they're fueling Wars they're

[21:05]sending money to Wars to keep fueling a fight a conflict and

[21:07]they're sitting in their palaces they're sitting in their homes they're not

[21:11]being affected their children are not being affected but they want other

[21:14]people to go did not do that when he says we go

[21:19]to war he would wear the armor and he himself would enter

[21:22]into the battlefield when they built the Masjid when they built the

[21:28]Masjid of history records that the Muslims they were carrying bricks they

[21:35]were carrying bricks to build the Masjid and these bricks were heavy

[21:39]and he would also carry the bricks and he would participate actively

[21:44]participate in the building of the Masjid and some of the Muslims

[23:03]in the building he did not want his clothes to get dirty

[23:07]he was wealthy he didn't want the his clothes to get dirty

[26:32]are lessons these are life lessons that we have to make a

[26:35]part of our Lives we have to make this a part of

[26:40]our teachings a part of our life and when we remember the

[26:44]fact that he was able to create a community the fact that

[26:50]he was able to bring different people together I have to ask

[26:53]myself what am I doing to serve my community what am I

[26:58]doing to bring different people together am I just admiring the prophet

[27:03]Who removed racism from society and my I myself am racist am

[27:06]I admiring the prophet who encouraged equality and equal Financial system where

[27:13]the rich takes care of the poor and no one is left

[27:18]needy or hungry and I am leaving people in need I am

[27:20]leaving people hungry of course there's a conflict if we do that

[27:29]and he says the one who sleeps with the full stomach and

[27:37]his neighbor is hungry this person is not a part of my

[27:42]community so we have to ask ourselves are we a part of

[27:46]the community of do we incorporate the teachings of Islam and the

[27:55]sun of in our lives if we do then good for you

[27:58]then that is something that's great and if we don't then we

[28:03]have to see how can we perfect our lives and how can

[28:07]we become better and better get closer to the Sunnah and the

[28:13]teachings of one of the reasons my dear brothers and sisters that

[28:17]stops us from abiding by the laws of God and the laws

[28:22]of and the laws of the Quran is the attachment to this

[28:25]worldly duny because we are too attached to this dun sometimes we

[28:32]forget our obligations sometimes we forget what is expected of us we

[28:36]forget our ultimate goal the goal that we are all headed towards

[28:39]and this is a problem but also from we learn this whole

[28:49]D came to him but he did not fall for the traps

[28:55]of this Dunya he was offered to live eternally he was offered

[28:58]to become the wealthiest of the most wealthy people but chose to

[29:05]live the life of a Ab he chose to live the life

[29:09]of a servant of Allah subhanahu wa taala and he describes Allah

[29:16]he says that letol Allah be a reminder for you to not

[29:19]fall for this dun he says he says when you look at

[29:34]the life of the Prophet you'll know that this dun has no

[29:36]value this dun should not be a trap that distracts you from

[29:43]your ultimate goal why because the prophet sometimes he would sleep hungry

[29:52]in this Dunya with his along with his family is this Dunya

[29:57]that great you you could tell that this D has no value

[30:00]in the holy prophet the greatest of God's creation sometimes he would

[30:06]go hungry if while he is so great but the zakar and

[30:17]the jewelry and the and the pleasures of this dun they were

[30:26]not for the fact that did not have the Treasures of this

[30:29]dun know you know that this duny has no value because if

[30:33]it had value then someone like would have had it someone like

[30:37]would have had this would have had this D and then he

[30:44]says look with your intellect not just with your eyes look with

[30:53]your intellect and then he asks when God tested the prophet when

[30:59]God put in so much trials and difficulties and tribulations did God
