[0:05]I begin in the name of the almighty God the compassionate the

[0:10]merciful the one who has created everything in utmost Perfection and May

[0:18]the peace and blessings of the almighty God be upon his pure

[0:22]and beloved messenger the peak of his creation the symbol of humanity

[0:29]the holy prophet and his Immaculate progeny of the B peace be

[0:42]upon them especially the leader of our time the awaited Savior IM

[0:52]Al may God hasten his reappearance and make us all amongst his

[0:58]sincere and dedicated servants Allah subhanahu waala states in the Holy Quran

[1:15]this Holy Quran guides you to the most straightforward path illuminates your

[1:28]hearts and Minds with a very loud Sal a couple of years

[1:40]ago the telegraph which is a very prominent British newspaper ran a

[1:47]very interesting article which had some shocking findings there is an academic

[1:55]in George Washington University who wanted to see in 200 8 which

[2:03]of the world's countries are the most who implement the spirit and

[2:11]the teachings of the Holy Quran which countries are these countries which

[2:15]implement the laws of the Holy Quran in politics in economic achievement

[2:23]in social values in human rights in society in other aspects of

[2:29]the Holy Quran now the findings of This research is truly shocking

[2:38]to us as Muslims you would think that Muslim countries were on

[2:43]top of the list right but when he revealed the findings they

[2:49]are truly shocking in this list you find that for example number

[2:55]one is Ireland number two Denmark then you have Luxembourg then you

[3:01]have Sweden then you have the UK New Zealand Finland and these

[3:09]other countries the first Muslim country that made it on the list

[3:14]was Malaysia at number 38 can you imagine that and we wonder

[3:20]why the whole world besides the Muslim world is prosperous because they're

[3:27]implementing the Holy Quran and we're not implementing the book of Allah

[3:30]subhanahu wa taala Saudi Arabia considers itself to be the mother of

[3:40]all Islamic countries the Cradle of Islam you know what was the

[3:46]number that Saudi Arabia made on that list 93 and I think

[3:50]the one who did the survey was very generous with Saudi Arabia

[3:54]because I don't think it even should make it in anywhere on

[4:00]the list because it does not implement the spirit of the Holy

[4:03]Quran yes maybe they will take some literal passages of the Holy

[4:08]Quran and try to implement it but they don't implement the spirit

[4:14]of the Holy Quran IM 14 centuries ago he said as he

[4:25]was on his deathbed his will for Muslims was this Allah Allah

[4:30]Quran be mindful of God when it comes to the Holy Quran

[4:40]make sure that other nations don't trace you beat you to implementing

[4:49]it before you do we wonder why is the Muslim umah in

[4:53]a mess why do so many of our communities around the world

[4:56]struggle and they're not able to overcome many of the the challenges

[5:03]why it's because we have abandoned the Holy Quran there is one

[5:07]verse in the Holy Quran in which the prophet peace be upon

[5:10]him said this and the Holy Quran quotes him the messenger what

[5:17]did he say oh Allah my own people have abandon abandoned this

[5:31]Quran they've abandoned the book of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and that's

[5:35]why you see the Muslim um is in a mess because we

[5:39]have kept away from the book of God we have distanced ourself

[5:43]from the book of Allah subhah if we want to achieve Prosperity

[5:49]we have to start finding and mending our relationship with the book

[5:57]of Allah subhanahu wa taala and the journey to find our our

[6:01]way back to the book of God starts with reading the Holy

[6:05]Quran ask yourself and be honest with yourself how often do we

[6:12]make the effort to read the book of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

[6:15]Allah subhana tala has given you 24 hours a day how many

[6:22]minutes do we spend on a daily basis to read the book

[6:27]of God because the problem is the reality is we don't read

[6:29]the book of Allah subhah wa ta'ala we don't care about reading

[6:35]this book if all of us as a community would read this

[6:37]book with due diligence in reading it then we can complain why

[6:41]isn't Allah subhana wa tala changing our state why do we have

[6:46]problems around the world but honestly how many of us read the

[6:49]book of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala how much time do we take

[6:55]from our schedule to read what the almighty God has to say

[6:59]to us as human beings let's ask ourselves on such nights as

[7:07]we want to be true to the message of IM Hussein you

[7:09]know you'll find some people some people are saying you know what

[7:14]the Quran is just repetitive why should I read it keep repeating

[7:16]and repeating the same verses Habibi do you say that to your

[7:21]stomach when you keep repeating the same foods and eat the same

[7:27]Foods in a course of a week within one month we ate

[7:31]the same Foods right don't we do you see anyone complaining complaining

[7:35]why am I eating the same food when it comes to my

[7:37]body and my stomach I have no issue in eating the same

[7:43]Foods because I need them to survive but when it comes to

[7:45]my spirituality when it comes to my soul what do I say

[7:50]oh this is repetition it's not repetition a Believer who reads the

[7:58]Holy Quran the correct way opening his heart every single time you

[8:02]will find something new it's not repetition you just have to give

[8:06]your heart to it yes when I'm blindly reading it and I

[8:12]feel as if this is something imposed on me I don't enjoy

[8:13]it then yeah it feels like it's repetition have you seen people

[8:19]who are in love with each other they take out that love

[8:22]letter those text messages and they read them once twice three times

[8:27]four times 10 times 20 times right and every time it feels

[8:32]different it's not repetition why are you reading it 20 times it's

[8:38]just a phrase it's just a letter because your heart is interacting

[8:44]with it Subhan Allah with us human beings we give our heart

[8:47]but when it comes to the book of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

[8:52]we don't give our heart this is a disaster let us make

[8:58]some time respected brothers and sisters to read the book of Allah

[9:01]subhanahu wa ta'ala it really does so much to our hearts there

[9:07]was a young boy he had a great-grandfather who wanted to teach

[9:12]him the Holy Quran he told him my grandfather I don't understand

[9:18]many parts of the Quran why should I read it this is

[9:20]not beneficial for me when I grow up one day then maybe

[9:25]I can read it his grandfather told him they lived by a

[9:27]river his grandfather father told him my dear grandson you see this

[9:34]bucket here this basket there was a basket they used to carry

[9:38]coal in it and the basket was white but because of the

[9:42]coal it had turned black his grandfather told him my dear grandson

[9:46]take this basket empty it go to the river and I want

[9:52]you to fill it up with water and then bring it to

[9:56]me as quickly as you can the grandson takes the basket he

[9:59]goes to to the river he fills it with water and he's

[10:04]running to his grandfather but he realized that the water would spill

[10:09]because it's a basket it has holes in it it would spill

[10:14]before he could reach his grandfather he came to his grandfather with

[10:17]the basket empty I'm sorry grandfather I couldn't make it I wasn't

[10:20]fast enough he told him go a second time he went for

[10:25]a second time to the river filling it with water running back

[10:28]to his grandfather but again obviously he's not going to make it

[10:35]the water will spill for three times his grandfather had him go

[10:39]to the river and come back to him after the third time

[10:42]the grandfather asked his grandson my dear grandson were you able to

[10:49]carry all the water in the basket he's like no grandpa I

[10:52]couldn't because it has holes in it it can't contain it then

[10:56]the grandfather told him but look at the basket did it change

[11:00]from about an hour ago he looked at it it was shiny

[11:06]and clean and beautiful he's like yes it's clean now it was

[11:09]black because of the Cal now it's clean he told him my

[11:15]dear grandson this is how the Quran is it cleans your heart

[11:18]even if you now in this age cannot carry all the meanings

[11:21]of the Quran just like this basket which cannot carry all that

[11:28]water but because you took it to the river you cleaned it

[11:31]the spiritual River for you is the book of Allah subhanahu wa

[11:37]ta'ala read it make the effort to read it and it will

[11:39]cleanse your heart and this is from the rahma of Allah subhanahu

[11:47]wa taala now what's the best time to read the Holy Quran

[11:50]what is the best time for us to read the book of

[11:54]Allah subhana tala let's get closer to this book you know unfortunately

[11:57]if you ask many of us not just just our youth even

[12:02]our elders even when it comes to simple things like the name

[12:05]of the chapters do we know the names of the chapters of

[12:11]the Quran we have 114 chapters do we know the names I

[12:14]bet you most of us we cannot count the names of the

[12:17]chapters most of the chapters we don't even know what they mean

[12:23]the meaning of the chapter let alone the contents of the chapter

[12:27]what does muj mean why does Allah subhana tala tell me about

[12:33]the pleading woman who had an argument with her husband why is

[12:37]God telling me that what does God want me to learn what's

[12:40]so significant about a pleading woman are we aware of that ask

[12:47]some people what does that mean they look at you are you

[12:51]talking Chinese or what's what's what's we don't even know the meaning

[12:58]of the names of of our chapter Allah has given us just

[13:04]114 chapters we know everything in society we know the names of

[13:09]singers actors Sports and matches and everything but when it comes to

[13:15]the only book of Allah subhanahu waala most of us I guarantee

[13:19]you don't know any of this the Quran interacts with our hearts

[13:24]IM teaches us the best time to read the Quran and I

[13:30]urge my respected brothers and sisters try it tonight make a commitment

[13:35]to mend your relationship with the book of Allah subhana tala tonight

[13:39]try this even for five minutes the best time to recite the

[13:46]Holy Quran brothers and sisters is at night standing on your feet

[13:50]try it once and come and then object to me say it

[13:54]this was not beneficial to me I did not interact with the

[13:56]Quran stand tonight 5 minutes on your feet and recite the book

[14:01]of Allah subhah waala in the sermon in which he describes the

[14:12]pious what does say listen to his beautiful words the Imam in

[14:16]describing how the pious ones read the book of Allah subhanahu wa

[14:23]taala the IM says as for the pious ones when the night

[14:39]befalls them they stand on their feet reciting chapters of the Holy

[14:54]Quran they make their hearts sad with the book of Allah subhana

[15:00]t they become sorrowful because of what they've done because of the

[15:04]feeling of regret that they have for not doing more and the

[15:06]presence of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala that's how they read the Quran

[15:12]there was a a man by the name of Al this man

[15:19]was an evil Wicked man he was a thief he would attack

[15:24]Caravans he would loot money and property one day this man F

[15:30]he decided to attack a house in the midst of the night

[15:36]he climbed the wall going to the roof to the ceiling and

[15:42]to intrude into the house as he was on the roof of

[15:44]the house he heard this very beautiful sad voice coming he heard

[15:53]a man reciting the Holy Quran in the midst of the night

[15:56]how beautiful and the man was reciting this verse isn't it time

[16:11]for the Believers to Humble their hearts before Allah subhanahu waala this

[16:17]verse struck him he started to shake what is this verse speaking

[16:24]about it penetrated his heart and he said said yes it is

[16:31]time for it is time that you go back to Allah subhanahu

[16:37]wa taala he abandoned his old habits and he became one of

[16:39]the most Pious people of his time and he even became one

[16:46]of the companions of IM and IM let's read the Holy Quran

[16:52]brothers and sisters that's number one the journey to the book of

[16:57]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala starts with reading it see what what God

[17:00]has to say number one number two is understanding the Holy Quran

[17:05]reading is not enough we have to understand what Allah subhanahu wa

[17:14]taala is communicating to us and in a beautiful narration he says

[17:22]the verses of the Holy Quran are treasure boxes if someone gives

[17:29]you a treasure box what do you do do you just look

[17:31]at it blindly and pass by it the IM says the verses

[17:37]are like treasure boxes open them when you come across a verse

[17:40]in the Holy Quran open it see what's inside it find the

[17:48]gems the jewelry inside it the precious stones that's how we should

[17:55]interact with the Holy Quran we should try to understand the Holy

[17:58]Quran what is Allah subhana T communicating with us the Holy Quran

[18:03]has about 6,000 or so verses 6,300 400 verses if you make

[18:11]it a point brothers and sisters this is something very practical every

[18:15]single day try to understand three verses from the Quran just three

[18:21]verses how long does that take honestly 10 minutes 15 minutes at

[18:24]maximum try to understand read the the ex aesus of three verses

[18:32]from the Holy Quran in seven years you will have understood the

[18:36]entire book of Allah subhanahu wa taala and there is no honor

[18:40]greater than understanding the book of The Almighty Allah in seven years

[18:46]you'll understand all of this book three verses a day that's it

[18:50]Ponder use your intellect to ponder on the verses of the Holy

[18:53]Quran the Holy Quran opens amazing Horizons for you you know they

[19:00]say once there was a professor in his classroom he asked his

[19:04]students which one of you is Muslim one of the students raised

[19:09]his hand and he said I'm a Muslim he told him do

[19:15]you believe that the Quran is the book of God he said

[19:20]yes I do believe that he told him do you believe that

[19:22]there are no contradictions no discrepancies no inaccuracies in the Quran he's

[19:27]like yes I believe that like do you believe every word is

[19:33]from God he's like yes I believe why what's your problem what's

[19:35]your objection he's like well I recently read a verse in the

[19:38]Quran and honestly it didn't really make much sense to me he's

[19:45]like why what is it and then he recited this verse God

[19:53]has not created two hearts inside a man he's like do you

[19:58]believe in this verse he's like yeah I believe in this verse

[20:00]he's like why is God saying a man only why do women

[20:05]have two hearts three hearts what kind of a Quran is this

[20:07]that you believe in now he was a bright student he was

[20:12]familiar with the book of Allah subhana tala he pondered for a

[20:15]moment he's like yes Allah subhana wa ta'ala is very accurate when

[20:20]he said that he like how how do you explain that he's

[20:22]like a woman can have two hearts like what do you mean

[20:27]you're being misogynistic now you're you're degrading women by saying that he's

[20:31]like no Habibi when women are pregnant and they're carrying a fetus

[20:34]in their womb they can have two hearts but a man does

[20:39]not get pregnant now that's not the T of the verse it

[20:41]has another meaning but this is one dimension to it he pondered

[20:45]on the verse of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and he gave him

[20:49]that beautiful reply we have to understand the Holy Quran and interact

[20:54]with it listen what to what im says in describing the Believers

[21:06]when they come the Believers they come across a verse in the

[21:14]Quran which encourages them which promises them a reward which tells them

[21:20]about the day of judgment about Paradise about heaven it captivates their

[21:27]hearts they long for it they yearn for the reward that Allah

[21:36]subhah wa taala has promised them it's as if they can see

[21:45]the reward before them you know the pious one according to IM

[21:55]Ali he sees Paradise from this world it's as if he sees

[22:02]Paradise when he reads the Quran he pictures Paradise before him and

[22:07]he feels the blessings of God and the reward of Allah subhanahu

[22:14]wa ta'ala and then to the contrary when they come across a

[22:22]verse that's threatening threatening the evil ones the criminals the sinful ones

[22:31]they lend the ears of their hearts to these verses it's as

[22:43]if they can hear the sound of hell when they read the

[22:48]Holy Quran it's as if they can see the punishment of Allah

[22:52]subhah wa ta'ala they really interact with the book of God now

[22:56]there are some people who have this objection and it's important to

[23:00]address this objection when it comes to the Quran speaking about hell

[23:07]some people OB where is the rahma of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

[23:10]why does God threaten us with Hell Fire God is merciful he's

[23:18]the compassionate why is it that almost in every page there's a

[23:21]threat to the sinful ones the unbelievers the disbelievers why why is

[23:27]the Quran obsessed with threatening Humanity either with a punishment or with

[23:30]Hellfire or something else why when you analyze it respected brothers and

[23:37]sisters it's from the Rah of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala you know

[23:41]why because the human being the greatest success for him is to

[23:49]connect himself to the source of all goodness in the universe and

[23:53]that's Allah subhah wa ta'ala that's why someone who rejects God has

[23:58]a himself and committed the greatest act of Oppression If you deny

[24:06]the existence of God if you ascribe Partners to God the Holy

[24:08]Quran considers that as a as a a huge oppression why because

[24:18]when you have defied the almighty God you have disconnected yourself from

[24:23]the source of all goodness in the universe that's the biggest Act

[24:30]of Injustice you can do to yourself and Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

[24:33]is more compassionate than our own parents if you see your own

[24:41]child constantly endangering himself and taking himself to danger if you see

[24:46]your child going to a fire what would you do as a

[24:51]parent would you just threaten him once warn him once if you

[24:58]are a real really concerned father a really concerned mother every single

[25:03]day and every single minute when you see your child endangering himself

[25:08]and taking himself or herself to the wrong path you say something

[25:15]you warn your child you give advice to your child and if

[25:18]it doesn't work you threaten your child don't go there if you

[25:22]go there you shall get burned this is why Allah subhana tala

[25:27]in the Holy Quran speaks about out Hell Fire because he cares

[25:30]about us if God didn't care he wouldn't mention it he doesn't

[25:33]even care Allah is saying don't destroy your own fate have mercy

[25:42]on yourself therefore we need to understand the Holy Quran brothers and

[25:45]sisters in our modern times we see every day the media is

[25:52]Mis construing many of the quran's verses we have to be able

[25:57]to defend our faith if I don't know what the Holy Quran

[25:59]means how can I defend my religion you see them in the

[26:03]media they take this verse out of context know there's a verse

[26:08]in the Holy Quran which says that wherever you see the infidels

[26:12]as they say kill them kill the pagans the infidels wherever you

[26:22]see them now we are presented with these verses and I guarantee

[26:25]you most of us we have no clue why this verse was

[26:29]revealed what is Allah subhana wa tala saying here I need to

[26:32]know how to respond to these allegations to these objections I need

[26:37]to know what to say to tell them that no this is

[26:42]not a blanket order for Muslims to go and kill non-muslims examine

[26:46]the cause of Revelation the prophet peace be upon him had a

[26:52]peace treaty with the pagans they broke the peace treaty they started

[26:56]ambushing the Muslims they they started killing the Muslims spilling their blood

[27:01]the Allah subhana tala gave them a warning stop if you want

[27:07]to break the peace treaty and take advantage of us no Allah

[27:10]subh T will stop that Allah subhana wa tala tells Muslims give

[27:16]them a chance to repent as long as they uphold the treaty

[27:19]you uphold it be peaceful with them but if they break the

[27:25]peace treaty and they're conspiring against you and they're killing members of

[27:31]your community then yes when these sacred months are over and they

[27:35]have come to attack you to conspire against you then kill them

[27:38]do we know how to address these verses do we ourselves even

[27:42]know the meaning of these verses let's understand the book of Allah

[27:47]subhanahu wa ta'ala the prophet peace be upon him in a beautiful

[27:51]Hadith attributed to him the holy prophet Muhammad s alai in a

[28:02]beautiful Hadith he says you know we the followers of bit we

[28:06]believe in sha intercession it's not just the prophets and the imams

[28:12]who will intercede on your behalf it's not just the Quran that

[28:18]will intercede on your behalf every one of you tonight brothers and

[28:23]sisters with the Holy Quran you yourself will have the power of

[28:27]sha to intercede on behalf of 10 people from your relatives and

[28:31]family listen to what the prophet says the one who reads the

[28:42]Quran carries its meaning in his heart and understands it knows what

[28:46]allaha is saying first of all Allah will take you to Paradise

[28:52]number two Allah will give you the power of to intercede on

[29:06]10 members of your family all of them were supposed to be

[29:14]taken to hell but because you were good to the Quran on

[29:16]the day of judgment Allah will tell you not only do I

[29:20]save you go and save 10 people from your family you want

[29:25]greater from Allah subhanahu wa taala the prophet says they were supposed

[29:33]hell was mandated on them but because of the power of Quran

[29:38]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala gave you the power of sha this is

[29:43]theah of Allah subhah wa taala Brothers and Sisters Let's understand the

[29:47]Holy Quran that's number two the second stage in our journey to

[29:53]the Holy Quran first is reading it second is understanding it number

[29:58]three is implementing it brothers and sisters there are many people who

[30:05]read the Quran some even understand the Quran but how many of

[30:09]us implement the Holy Quran Allah subhana tala doesn't just want us

[30:13]to read the Holy Quran yes reading it has a great benefit

[30:17]absolutely the Hadith says before you sleep if you just recite three

[30:24]times three times Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will Empower 50,000 Angels Till

[30:32]the morning protecting you if you reite for example one of the

[30:42]effects Allah subhana tala will protect you from the dangers and The

[30:45]Perils of the Grave if you recite for example 11 times the

[30:52]Hadith says the angels of the Skies shall ask Allah to forgive

[30:55]you till the morning and it has a great reward but Allah

[31:01]subhah wa ta'ala wants us to implement the Holy Quran because the

[31:04]Holy Quran is like a prescription and we Muslims you know what

[31:09]we do unfortunately when you think about it it's very sad we

[31:15]marck the book of God every single day how the Holy Quran

[31:18]is a prescription when you get sick and you go to the

[31:22]doctor and the doctor gives you a prescription what do you do

[31:27]with it you know what what we do with it Allah subhana

[31:30]tala has given us the Quran to heal our heart to heal

[31:35]our souls you know what we do with the Holy Quran it's

[31:38]a prescription that Allah subhana tala has given us instead of using

[31:43]the prescription and doing what's contain contained inside it you know what

[31:49]we do we take the prescription we kiss it we put it

[31:51]in our shelves this is disrespectful to the book of Allah subhah

[31:54]wa ta'ala if you go to a doctor and the doctor doctor

[31:58]gives you a prescription and you tell him thank you so much

[32:00]my doctor you take the prescription you kiss it you put it

[32:05]in the shelf and then you don't practice it how do you

[32:07]think that doctor will feel every time you go to him you

[32:12]do the same isn't this what we do with the Holy Quran

[32:14]it's a prescription use it Allah Subhan waala is given us these

[32:23]amazing words yes seek the blessing of the Holy Quran when you

[32:29]travel you kiss it you go under the Holy Quran we seek

[32:33]its blessings but Allah subhana wa taala wants to implement the Holy

[32:37]Quran because the danger is as the Holy Quran tells us if

[32:43]we read the Holy Quran but don't practice it it will actually

[32:48]Harden our hearts in one verse of the Holy Quran Allah subhana

[32:56]says upon those who have a hard heart why do they have

[33:03]a hard heart because of the Quran they read the Quran instead

[33:07]of it softening their hearts it ends up hardening their hearts why

[33:11]because they're mocking the Quran they read it seconds later they disobey

[33:17]it in one Hadith the holy prophet Muhammad the prophet says if

[33:34]you read the Quran and then you commit a Haram act you

[33:39]drink something that is Haram either something which is Allah filter drink

[33:45]like alcohol for example or you've bought this drink with Haram money

[33:50]money from an illegitimate Source you read the Quran but you're more

[33:57]attached to this world and the adornments of this world is you

[34:09]shall earn the wrath of Allah subhanahu wa taala when you read

[34:16]the Holy Quran and you come across this verse don't backbite 10

[34:20]minutes later you're backbiting you sit among your friends okay what's the

[34:25]recent news from this family from that person let's expose these others

[34:30]let's laugh at what happened to them I am mocking the Holy

[34:35]Quran that's why the Hadith says there are some people God forbid

[34:42]they read the Holy Quran but the Holy Quran is cursing them

[34:48]because they're making a joke out of the Holy Quran let's not

[34:51]be amongst these people brothers and sisters we Muslims around the world

[34:58]world have not been able to overcome our challenges because we have

[35:04]abandoned the book of Allah subah says make sure that you're the

[35:16]first to implement the book of Allah subhana tala look at the

[35:20]Muslim World Allah subhah says the Believers are brothers do you find

[35:27]this verse implemented in many parts of the Muslim um brothers and

[35:32]sisters look at the divisions that we have in the Middle East

[35:37]in many parts of the Muslim world you don't see the spirit

[35:41]of Brotherhood you see that it's difficult for one Muslim from one

[35:47]Muslim country to go to another country even the Visa process is

[35:50]so difficult you don't feel welcome you really don't feel welcome in

[35:54]many of these Muslim countries if you're not from that Society we've

[36:00]abandoned this verse of Allah subhah wa ta'ala but who's the one

[36:03]who has implemented this verse the European Union tens tens of countries

[36:09]they've El limited their geographical borders in Europe you can go from

[36:15]one country to 10 20 other countries without needing a passport without

[36:19]needing a Visa it's possible because there are someons say you know

[36:23]what this is not realistic we need to impose geographical borders for

[36:27]security reasons to control the masses how did Europe do it they

[36:32]implemented the Holy Quran because they considered themselves as one block as

[36:37]one nation just like brothers they succeeded Allah subhana wa TAA says

[36:46]in the Holy Quran Allah has created all resources the Earth the

[36:54]natural resources for you for the people the governments come and they

[36:59]confiscate all of that the oil in Saudi Arabia is for all

[37:05]Muslims but what does Saudi Arabia what what do they do it's

[37:07]only for the Saudi royal family and that's why they're in a

[37:12]mess because they're not implementing the book of Allah subhanahu wa taala

[37:16]in elaborating this verse the holy prophet peace be upon Him says

[37:22]in the religion of Islam land belongs to Muslims they can go

[37:29]and develop a land which is not owned by anyone and look

[37:32]at the Muslim World many many of the youth they're not able

[37:39]to buy a home a piece of property why because we've abandoned

[37:43]the Holy Quran in Saudi Arabia the richest nation in the Middle

[37:48]East they're sitting on an ocean of petroleum and oil over 50%

[37:56]of the population cannot afford to to buy a house are we

[37:59]implementing the Holy Quran brothers and sisters the Muslim um is not

[38:04]implementing the Holy Quran and this is why we see disastrous consequences

[38:09]you talk to our youth today he's 24 25 27 28 why

[38:17]aren't you married say it I can't afford it I still need

[38:22]a permanent job a good career to establish myself then what about

[38:25]the verse in the Holy Quran any if they are poor Allah

[38:33]will give them what did you do with this verse they don't

[38:36]believe in this verse if someone if you see a young man

[38:40]telling you that I don't want to get married because I need

[38:43]to establish myself this person is not implementing the book of Allah

[38:46]subhanahu wa'ta'ala let's implement the Holy Quran respected brothers and sisters now

[38:53]one of the very important areas and let's please pay attention to

[38:57]this point very carefully one of the areas that Muslims are not

[39:04]implementing the way they should is the spirit of giving Which the

[39:08]Holy Quran encourages us to do brothers and sisters look at the

[39:15]Holy Quran the spirit of donating the spirit of giving Allah promises

[39:19]Us in the Holy Quran that if you want to be prosperous

[39:24]if you want the blessings of Allah subhah wa ta'ala give in

[39:30]the way of Allah subhanahu wa taala how much have we implemented

[39:36]this verse so many verses in the Quran Allah says when you

[39:41]give it's as if you're giving the almighty God Allah is saying

[39:52]when you give in the way of God you're actually giving a

[39:58]loan to to Allah Subhan Allah see the mercy of God God

[40:01]the king of the universe the one who owns us and owns

[40:06]our wealth he's saying if you give in my way it's as

[40:11]if you're giving me alone can you find Mercy more than that

[40:14]can you find encouragement more than that and Allah says I will

[40:18]multiply it for you Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will not allow us

[40:24]to achieve progress if we don't donate in his way way for

[40:28]his way and we have not been doing that around the world

[40:31]just see our communities compared to other communities one reason why the

[40:35]United States is a great prosperous n nation and the wealthiest Nation

[40:42]on Earth you know why because it is the most nation that

[40:47]gives for charitable projects every single year Americans give $350 billion in

[40:57]charity of course Allah subhana T will give them Prosperity because Allah

[41:01]doesn't say only if you're a Muslim and you give I'll compensate

[41:05]you no even when non-muslims give for charitable projects Allah T compensates

[41:11]them in this life and a lot of these donations this 350

[41:18]billion a lot of it is coming from who from religious institutions

[41:23]a good chunk of it is coming from churches this is why

[41:29]Allah subhana wa ta'ala gave is giving this country Prosperity because people

[41:33]have the spirit of giving the past few nights we have been

[41:40]blessed to participate in the Maj of IM Hussein under the opes

[41:49]of these two wonderful organizations the Islamic Institute of America the IIA

[41:55]and the Muslim youth connection the the myc Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

[42:02]has promised to give us Victory and success if we donate for

[42:07]his cause maybe there are some people in the community who may

[42:10]not understand the need to establish more institutions in our community we

[42:16]have other mosques we have other institutions why do we need another

[42:23]one yes brothers and sisters we do need you know in the

[42:25]state of Michigan how many churches there are how many do you

[42:29]think in the state of Michigan there are more than 11,592 churches

[42:38]registered in the state of Michigan what's a population of Michigan 9

[42:44]million Christians make about 79% of the population that means for every

[42:54]590 Christians there is a church in the entire state that's why

[42:59]they're prosperous that's why they're Advanced and Allah subhana tala does compensate

[43:03]them after all these our houses of worship here in Wayne County

[43:09]only not the Detroit metro area here in Wayne County do you

[43:12]know how many churches there are there is over 2,000 churches in

[43:17]Wayne County only in Dearborn and Dearborn Heights only we have over

[43:25]120 churches and then we're wondering why do we need more Islamic

[43:33]institutions religious institutions charitable institutions look at our population in this area

[43:38]in the Detroit metro area in southeast Michigan we have more than

[43:43]200,000 Americans from Arab ancestry from Arab descent look at our numbers

[43:50]you know for the Christians as I said for every 600 Christian

[43:56]there's a church in the state of Michigan does that apply to

[43:59]our community you know for those of us who are just coming

[44:04]here tonight if you consider the attendance now and then in the

[44:08]Arabic program we have about 2,000 people if you want to apply

[44:10]in the same ratio we need four mosques just for the people

[44:16]who we have tonight just to be like those others and says

[44:22]don't let others beat you you be at the front line let

[44:27]others learn from your progress and advancement I remember several years ago

[44:36]I went with my respected father to visit a community leader here

[44:40]in the area he mentioned something which was very shocking to me

[44:44]he said the Catholic church has 1 million institutions organizations and charitable

[44:54]projects 1 million he said if we Muslims we want to establish

[45:04]1,000 institutions every year we need 1,000 years just to catch up

[45:10]to them 1,000 institutions multiply that by 1,000 years you get the

[45:14]1 million just the Catholic church has 1 million institutions organizations and

[45:19]charitable projects around the world and then we wonder why is the

[45:24]Muslim um in in in a dire situation it's because we have

[45:33]abandoned the Holy Quran what does the Holy Quran say spend from

[45:40]what we have given you before it's too late before death comes

[45:53]to you then you will say oh Allah give me another chance

[45:55]Allah tala is now giving you a chance respected brothers and sisters

[46:00]to donate and support such institutions the IIA the Islamic Institute of

[46:08]America is now on a mission to secure a permanent venue for

[46:16]us brothers and sisters let's support this institution let's support the myc

[46:20]the Muslim youth connection who are providing these phenomenal services for our

[46:26]youth the Holy Quran says protect yourselves and your children is there

[46:36]an investment better for your children respected brothers and sisters than to

[46:41]support such institutions which are teaching our children Islam in America to

[46:49]rise to the challenges we need an institution in our community that

[46:53]is able to rise to the challenges a progressive mosque in the

[46:58]community that caters to our youth to the English-speaking population that we

[47:05]have imagine the past nights without these wonderful programs in this place

[47:10]and in other institutions that we have in the community they all

[47:16]play an important role imagine Ash without these programs brothers and sisters

[47:20]you know many of the youth they come to me after such

[47:22]programs after the month of Ramadan for example is over and they

[47:28]say say we feel depressed we feel lost we feel orphaned these

[47:32]programs bring us together like one family Allah has given us the

[47:38]opportunity to Save Our Youth just look at the wonderful activities that

[47:45]we have throughout the year the myc has the weekly Friday night

[47:49]program brothers and sisters where do you want your youth to go

[47:52]on a Friday night to waste their time to go go to

[47:57]places which take them away from Allah subhana wa ta'ala or to

[48:03]meet other fellow Muslims to learn about the Quran about the history

[48:05]of the religion of Islam we have the annual Retreat a wonderful

[48:11]program so many of our brothers and sisters they find their connection

[48:16]with Allah subhana wa ta'ala in these programs let's support such programs

[48:21]such initiatives many of our sisters adopt the hijab just look at

[48:28]the past 20 years and before the myc we had the young

[48:30]Muslim Association the Y do you know how many thousands of our

[48:36]youth were guided because of the wonderful efforts of these institutions let's

[48:40]support them for the sake of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala because then

[48:45]we'll be regretful if we don't brothers and sisters we have so

[48:48]many projects that we want to implement in our community we aspire

[48:55]to open and Islamic Seminary brothers and sisters many of our youth

[49:00]we have so many bright minds they wish to enroll in the

[49:03]Seminary but many of them cannot go to Iraq or Iran because

[49:08]of complications because of because of safety issues is there something better

[49:14]than bringing the Seminary to them here in our community this is

[49:17]something to be proud of brothers and sisters but we need your

[49:21]support on such a night I ask all of you be generous

[49:25]for the sake of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala show your generosity to

[49:31]IM Hussein and support the IIA and the myc and Allah subhanahu

[49:36]wa ta'ala will reward you the more we implement the Quran brothers

[49:40]and sisters the more Allah subhanahu wa taala will have mercy on

[49:45]us be generous on such a night and let's take this community

[49:50]to a new level let's take it forward and soon in a

[49:54]few minutes inshallah you will hear very good news and a wonderful

[49:56]announcement let's stick to the book of Allah subhanahu wa taala Al

[50:03]IM Hussein he sacrificed for the Holy Quran that's why in one

[50:10]of his Z what does it say peace be upon you oh

[50:16]the partner of the Holy Quran on such a night let's be

[50:23]partners with IM husin Muhammad now my respected brothers and sisters let's

[50:37]take our hearts toala on such a night we honor abas this

[50:43]Warrior of carala the brother of Al IM Hussein who give who

[50:52]gave everything away his life his soul his blood to protect his

[50:57]brother Hussein to protect the wom and the children on the 10th

[51:04]day of M when saw that the companions of IM Hussein they

[51:10]fell one by one he saw the family members of Al IM

[51:13]Al Hussein fall one after the other he could no longer take

[51:20]it he would pass by the tents of the women and the

[51:25]children and he would hear the cries of the children saying we

[51:31]are thirsty we are thirsty the gentle heart of could no longer

[51:39]take it how can I hear these children saying I am thirsty

[51:43]and I cannot go and bring some water to them he becomes

[51:48]determined to go out to the battlefield and fight he comes up

[51:54]to his brother Hussein my dear brother Hussein do you give me

[51:58]permission to go out to the battlefield and to fight those enemies

[52:02]so I can defend you and defend those women the Imam tells

[52:09]him oh AB you are the carrier of my banner if I

[52:13]lose you then I have no one other than you to defend

[52:17]me but he keeps insisting on Al IM Hussein please allow me

[52:24]to go and fight these enemies the Imam says if you are

[52:27]determined to go then I ask you to go to the river

[52:32]and try to bring some water for the for the women and

[52:37]the children he farewells his brother Hussein he wears his armor he

[52:49]sets out to the battlefield 4,000 soldiers were guarding the banks of

[53:25]the heat of the Sun he goes into the river he feels

[53:32]the coolness of the water he takes his hand he puts it

[53:35]in the water he takes a handful he draws the palm of

[53:40]his hand by his lips to drink when suddenly he remembers The

[53:45]Thirst of Al IM Hussein when he remembers The Thirst of he

[53:52]spills the water he says no I refuse to drink from this

[53:58]water while my brother Hussein is thirsty and he begins to speak

[54:05]to himself he addresses himself oh self humble yourself before your brother

[54:24]Hussein you cannot live for a moment after your brother Hussein do

[54:37]not drink the water this is Hussein he's so thirsty and you

[54:44]dare taste the sweetness of the water I swear by Allah this

[54:50]is not what my religion teaches me my religion teaches me to

[54:54]be loyal to my brother brother Hussein he refuses to take the

[54:57]water he had a water sack with him a water skin with

[55:02]him a container of water he fills it up and now his

[55:08]only goal was to take that water to the wom and the

[55:11]children the leader of the yazid army he realizes that if manages

[55:17]to take the water to the tents of Al IM Hussein they

[55:23]will lose the war He commands his soldiers surround him from every

[55:28]direction make sure that he does not get the water to Hussein

[55:31]and those women and children he carries the water skin with one

[55:39]hand and he carries the sword with another hand he's now on

[55:46]his horse heading back to the tent when believers they surround him

[55:51]those enemies surround him from every direction they began to strike him

[55:56]with arrows they began to strike him with Spears but he's going

[56:00]towards the tent when one of them he was hiding behind a

[56:07]palm tree oh Believers here comes the tragedy whenas was passing by

[56:15]one of those enemies he takes out his sword and he strikes

[56:20]at the right arm of and he amputates his right arm arm

[56:26]what does he say I swear by Allah if you cut my

[56:40]right hand and need I shall continue to defend my religion till

[56:49]the last moment but now he's lost one arm what does he

[56:58]do he takes the water skin with his teeth with his mouth

[57:03]he's carrying it and he's carrying his sword with his left arm

[57:07]as he marches forward another of the enemies he attacks and he

[57:14]strikes at his left arm now he loses two of his arms

[57:21]but he still has hope he still had hope to take the

[57:23]water to the women and the children children as he was going

[57:30]forward oh Believers you know what happened the arrows and the spears

[57:36]they come raining down upon him one of the arrows comes and

[57:40]it strikes the eyes of he loses one of his eyes another

[57:45]arrow comes and it strikes at his chest but he still had

[57:55]hope the water skin wasn't intact but the tragedy came when one

[57:59]of those Spears came targeted the water container it ripped it open

[58:06]and the water spilled when he saw that the water spilled he

[58:13]stopped he did not continue marching forward he was confused what do

[58:19]I do now where should I go how can I go back

[58:22]to the tents and I don't have any water for the women

[58:27]and children oh Believers as he was standing there one of those

[58:32]enemies he takes out an iron rod and he strikes on his

[58:42]head but you know you have this man on the horse he

[58:48]doesn't have two hands and there's a spear implanted in his eye

[58:53]and another arrow in his chest how is he going to fall

[58:57]to the ground oh Believers imagine how he fell to the ground

[59:01]without two hands to support him as he falls down from the

[59:09]horse he calls on his brother Hussein my dear brother pre please

[59:23]come to me I have fallen Al IM Hussein Like an Eagle

[59:30]he rushes to him he comes to his body but oh Believers

[59:37]in what state does he does he see he sees his beloved

[59:43]brother without two hands he sees there is an arrow implanted in

[59:48]his eye the Imam as he was being watched the imam's back

[59:54]became bent the Imam could no longer walk upright he looked at

[60:01]the body of of his brother he saw him in that state

[60:09]he said my dear brother now my back has been bent kiss

[60:33]my dear brother Abbas now my back has been bent and the

[60:40]enemies have now taken their Revenge from me the IM comes down

[60:45]to him he wants to carry him he wants to take him

[60:50]to the tent Al Abbas says no my brother Hussein don't take

[60:53]me to the tents he says why my dear brother he says

[60:58]I promis sua I promis the woman and the children to deliver

[61:01]water to them I have no water please I don't have the

[61:06]face to go back to the TS just leave me here and

[61:11]IM Hussein he sits on the ground he carries he tries to

[61:14]carry the head of ab in his lap but he realizes abas

[61:19]is refusing he would take his head back to the ground IM

[61:23]Hussein tells him my dear brother Abbas why is it that I

[61:30]when I want to carry your head in my lap you refuse

[61:34]I'm your brother Hussein let me carry your head in my lap

[61:37]let me wipe the dust and blood from your face he says

[61:42]oh my brother Hussein I refuse now if you carry my head

[61:50]in your lap in about an hour or so when you will

[61:52]be killed oh Hussein there will be no one to carry your

[61:57]head in his lap I want to die like you m
