[0:46]Tonight, we are honored to have one of our spiritual leaders, Sheh
[0:51]Muhammad Ayad.
[0:51]Sheikh Muhammad Ayad is an Islamic educator and community leader with formal
[0:55]studies at the Prophet Muhammad Seminary in Beirut and also holds a
[0:59]computer science degree from AUCE.
[1:03]For the past 10 years, he has served as a local scholar
[1:06]in Dearborn leading the Ahlbet study seminary teaching Quranic Arabic and guiding
[1:12]students in Islamic studies.
[1:13]His work extends nationwide through workshops on faith, ethics, and Quranic guidance.
[1:18]and he actively supports the community in funerals, Islamic wills, family affairs,
[1:24]and marriage counseling.
[1:25]Our gathering tonight is centered around the theme hearts that burn with
[1:30]love, the emotional journey through Kadba.
[1:31]Please help me in welcoming Muhammad Ayad with three loud salawats.
[1:39]Allah Muhammad Ali Muhammad Yes.
[1:56]Thank you so much.
[2:05]In the name of Allah entirely merciful, the especially merciful, the one
[2:10]who has created and designed everything the utmost perfection.
[2:13]and the one who brought our hearts together during the and he
[2:18]guided us for the love of Im Hussein.
[2:21]And may the peace and blessings of the Almighty God be upon
[2:24]his beloved and pure messenger, the peak of his creation and the
[2:26]symbol of a humanity, the holy prophet Muhammad and for his immaculate
[2:31]progeny of the V, especially the leader of our time, the weighted
[2:33]savior, Al Mahi.
[2:35]May Allah hasten his reappearance and make us all among his dedicated
[2:39]and sincere servants.
[2:41]The wind was gentle that day, carrying with it a scent of
[2:48]a grief and love.
[2:50]An old companion of the prophet Jabar Iban Abdah Ansari had traveled
[2:56]far his heart heavier than his steps to reach the plains of
[3:00]Karbala.
[3:02]It was the 40th day after the tragedy when he arrived to
[3:07]the grave of Imam Hussein.
[3:09]He started by this statement.
[3:15]Habibi Hussein.
[3:13]Let us say it with him.
[3:18]Habibi Hussein.
[3:20]And oh my beloved Hussein.
[3:23]He met Im Hussein with expressing emotions and love and saying it
[3:32]is a tried oh beloved that you do not answer your beloved.
[3:37]Thus this impression from Jabber he ended it by saying I bear
[3:47]witness that we have shared with you in what you endured.
[3:53]Jabar was blind and just FYI he got the zara from prophet
[4:00]Muhammad peace be upon him.
[4:00]He taught Jabber that how to do he went to the um
[4:06]lake ofat and he did and he start walking remembering Imam Hussein
[4:10]and remembering Allah subhana wa ta'ala with vikar until he reached that
[4:15]grave.
[4:16]It's sad that the pilgrims in Kbalah the zir of Imam Hussein
[4:24]Alisam they are accused by Shik even though majority of them when
[4:27]they walk toward the shrine of Hussein they do just of Allah
[4:31]subhana wa ta'ala many of them they do and Muhammad Abdah I'm
[4:44]sorry when he said that statement I bear witness that we have
[4:47]shared in what you endured servant.
[4:53]He was astonished and shocked how you make a such a claim.
[4:56]It's a religious claim that you're saying that Allah subhana ta will
[4:59]reward you the same reward that Hussein and his companions and followers
[5:04]shared in he said I heard the holy prophet Muhammad peace be
[5:13]upon him the messenger of Islam saying He said, "I heard my
[5:22]beloved the messenger of Allah saying, whoever loves the deeds of a
[5:26]people is a partner in them and whoever loves a people will
[5:31]be resurrected with them and that's the power of love of alahab
[5:38]in Arabic language we have 20 words that speaks about different levels
[5:44]of love starting with mahab And and that word was used in
[5:46]the Quran for Allah subhana wa tala.
[5:52]Those who believed they have a stronger love for Allah subhana wa
[5:59]tala.
[6:00]Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him saying if you loved Allah follow
[6:06]the prophet and Allah will love you.
[6:09]So in that concept love in Islam love is affection and love.
[6:13]The meaning of mahaba which is the first term the general embalanced
[6:18]form of love a fullness or caring feeling without excess and it's
[6:25]often rational or controlled when you say I love someone it's rational
[6:29]love and controlled love we have another word called alhawa and alhawa
[6:34]is desire and inclination it's a leaning of the heart towards someone
[6:39]or something often based on attraction or preference maybe fle fleeting.
[6:44]We have the word attame.
[6:47]Attame it means when you are when you're enslaved in that love.
[6:50]Unfortunately, we have a lot of people that they are obsessed with
[6:53]something or they are addicted to something.
[6:56]They are enslaved in that.
[7:00]We call it tame.
[7:00]We don't call it hob.
[7:03]And a tim love that makes a person like a servant to
[7:06]the beloved losing independence of will.
[7:09]There is no will anymore.
[7:10]We have the word alashshik famous word in the Arabic language and
[7:15]it's the passionate love.
[7:18]It's intense overpowering love that overtakes reason often viewed as extreme and
[7:28]consuming.
[7:27]We have another word al futun bewitchment love that confuses and blinds
[7:34]the lover causing loss of clarity and rational thinking.
[7:37]And also we have al jawah when that love consumes your internal
[7:45]being your soul your heart love that burns within often from unfulfilled
[7:52]longing causing physical and emotional decline.
[7:53]And final word we have ash.
[7:57]When you miss someone, longing, eager desire, strong desire to meet or
[8:02]be with the beloved may be joyful or painful depending on distance.
[8:06]And I can confidently say that all these words apply to the
[8:13]lovers and the visitors and the pilgrims in for IM Hussein.
[8:16]But we need to concentrate and focus on two terms that were
[8:24]mentioned in the Quran.
[8:22]One al mahaba two al- mad al- mahaba as I mentioned earlier
[8:29]is just for Allah subhanaa tala this word was used for Allah
[8:32]in reality believers they love Allahh ma was used in three different
[8:40]verses toward believers toward families and toward the now the first question
[8:48]what is the reason of love why do we love now if
[8:52]I asked everyone everyone in this respected hall to raise your right
[8:55]hands.
[8:56]Please raise your right hands.
[9:00]So if you're in good health and free, you can raise your
[9:03]right hand if I requested that from you.
[9:05]Now as well if you're able to speak without any obstacle, everyone
[9:10]is able to say Hussein.
[9:15]>> We're able to tell people to do such act.
[9:18]But now if you are emotionally balanced and I ask you to
[9:26]love someone, are you able to love that someone?
[9:30]Can we force love?
[9:30]Can we force feelings jurisprudentally in Islam?
[9:34]The reason why Allahh gave the power for the female to initiate
[9:39]marriage, the statement of marriage to marry herself to the man is
[9:42]that no one can force marriage on anyone.
[9:45]And the reason why she said these statements meaning that she's independent,
[9:50]she has will and she is fully aware of the action that
[9:58]she's taking the responsibility that she's going through that love that marriage
[10:01]that journey great journey in life where she's trying to fulfill half
[10:08]of her faith.
[10:07]Fidel Kashani when he wanted to define love he said the soul's
[10:13]inclination towards something because of perfection it perceives in it.
[10:22]So when you're attracted to something that you consider perfect that attraction
[10:27]is love.
[10:29]The first statement is tell me who you love I will tell
[10:33]you who you are.
[10:33]In the he told us, tell me who you love.
[10:37]I will tell you who you will be resurrected with on judgment
[10:42]day.
[10:43]Who you will be with on judgment day.
[10:46]So when it comes to love, now the second statement tell me
[10:49]what is perfect for you.
[10:50]I will tell you who you love.
[10:54]In the Quran, Allah subhana ta told us that the human being
[10:59]as a humans naturally we love perfection.
[11:03]From the earliest days of life a human is drawn toward perfection.
[11:08]What is he believed to be perfection?
[11:13]A baby thinks their perfection lies in crawling.
[11:15]So they strive for it.
[11:19]Once they crawl they realize it's not enough.
[11:20]So they aim to walk.
[11:23]when walking is achieved they seek another perfection perhaps speaking and so
[11:27]on and so forth.
[11:29]Now as a humans sometimes we see strength is perfect.
[11:34]We're attracted to strength.
[11:36]Sometimes we see being famous having wealth being beautiful knowledgeable.
[11:43]We see all these virtues perfect.
[11:47]We are attracted to it.
[11:48]But sometimes Satan will make us fall into something called illusional perfection,
[11:53]fake perfection, not real perfection.
[11:59]In the Quran we have a three verses what is called blamew
[12:05]worthy love.
[12:07]One love of the world and desires.
[12:11]Satan will beautify the love for something that is called fake perfection.
[12:16]We see in surah alm verse 14 beautified for people is the
[12:20]love of worldly desires woman children heaped up treasures of gold and
[12:25]silver fine branded horses livestock and fertile land and then Allah said
[12:31]this is the enjoyment of the worldly life but with Allah is
[12:36]the best return.
[12:35]Let me tell you something to have some balanced approach.
[12:41]There is no issue of loving this dunya.
[12:43]This dunya is created by Allahhana tala.
[12:46]We knew Allah in it.
[12:48]We realized Allah in it.
[12:49]We served Allah in it.
[12:52]We worshiped Allah in it.
[12:53]Imam Alisam said do not curse this dy if you were deceived
[12:57]in it.
[12:58]It deceives you because you chose to be deceived.
[13:02]But this dunya is one of the great creation of Allahhana.
[13:04]It's filled with the blessings of Allahhana tala.
[13:08]If you try to count the blessings of Allahh, they are countless
[13:12]in this dunya.
[13:14]But when Allahh is saying that Satan is beautifying the love of
[13:22]this worldly desires, he's comparing this world to the afterlife.
[13:26]Please focus with me.
[13:29]There is no issue of loving this but you should prioritize always
[13:32]the afterlife over this.
[13:37]Allah said in the Quran you prioritize this lowly worldly life and
[13:46]the afterlife is the everlasting.
[13:48]So logically, intellectually, you can't put what is temporarily, prioritize what is
[13:56]temporary over what is permanent and lasting forever.
[13:59]The second thing that Allahh trying to warn us in the Quran
[14:05]for loving is loving what is harmful.
[14:08]We see this verse in the Quran.
[14:13]perhaps you love something and there is in it.
[14:22]Perhaps you hate something and there's a huge benefit in it and
[14:27]Allah ended this verse saying and Allah knows but we don't know.
[14:30]Now for example our dear children when we are in a way
[14:36]motivating them to pray on time.
[14:38]Many of them they feel it's a hard responsibility to force yourself
[14:41]to stand up and go and pray.
[14:43]They think that it's disliked.
[14:47]It's something that they don't like.
[14:49]Allah is telling them perhaps you hate something and there is a
[14:53]huge benefit in it.
[14:55]Now I can how I can convince someone who feels that prayer
[14:57]is a heavy duty and they feel that they are forcing themselves
[15:02]to stand and go and pray.
[15:04]The answer is there is two benefits even if there's no heart
[15:06]present in prayer.
[15:08]We know that we have to pray on time with a heart
[15:10]present.
[15:11]One of the scholars said give me these three things and I
[15:17]will guarantee you reaching the highest station in God's eye.
[15:21]Do the worship.
[15:21]Don't do don't do the haram and pray on time with hearts
[15:27]present.
[15:28]His student said maintain these three and you will reach that station
[15:32]do the waj don't do the haram and just pray on time
[15:36]even if your heart is not present is not there there is
[15:39]a huge benefit of praying on time even if your heart is
[15:43]not there one when you force yourself to go and pray to
[15:45]please Allahhana tala even you're displeasing your inner self that forcing will
[15:50]strengthen your willpower true will help you in self-control and self-discipline so
[15:55]in the big tasks in life, you will be able to force
[16:01]this body to go fulfill something that will guarantee success in this
[16:05]duny.
[16:06]True.
[16:04]The second benefit is detachment.
[16:08]One of the major benefits of prayer why we pray five times
[16:11]a day in three different times that we pause sleeping to pray.
[16:15]We pause our busy schedules in the midday to prayer.
[16:20]We pause our rest at night to pray and always there's something
[16:27]coming.
[16:28]I'm pausing life to do something else.
[16:30]That first will help me in detachment.
[16:33]And when you're detached, you're strong.
[16:35]And please dear youth, differentiate between depression and detachment.
[16:38]We don't hate life, but we are detached from it.
[16:43]And detachment will make you always be in control.
[16:44]When you're when you have wealth, but you're detached from it, you
[16:47]can control that wealth.
[16:49]When you have power but you're detached from it, you can control
[16:52]and use that power in the right places and nothing will influence
[16:55]you to do something wrong.
[16:59]So that prayer when you pause life and you go pray three
[17:02]times a day or five times a day in three different uh
[17:07]times you're detaching yourself from it which will help you eventually become
[17:12]more stronger in life.
[17:18]And the third verse in the Quran, Allahh is warning us for
[17:24]loving people and possessions more than Allah.
[17:28]Allah said in surah TBA verse 24, say, oh Muhammad, tell your
[17:31]people, I like these verses in the Quran that starts with say.
[17:35]So Allah is telling Muhammad to tell the people.
[17:36]Say if your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your spouses, your relatives,
[17:40]the wealth you have acquired, the trade whose decline you fear and
[17:46]the homes you love are more beloved to you than Allah.
[17:48]It's interesting that Allahh is making comparison here are more beloved meaning
[17:52]that naturally we will be attached to these things.
[17:58]Imam Saddakam said that this duny physically it's the mother of our
[18:03]bodies.
[18:05]We were created in it.
[18:08]St.
[18:08]Hakr used to say there's two forces.
[18:10]There is the physical force and the spiritual force.
[18:12]The physical is attracting you toward this.
[18:16]The spiritual toward the and you need to build the balance between
[18:21]them.
[18:24]So Allah is making that comparison meaning Immad said the dunya is
[18:31]the mother of our bodies of the human and the human is
[18:34]not to be blamed for loving his mother.
[18:35]So Allah is saying if these things are more beloved to you
[18:41]than Allah the messenger and striving in his way then wait until
[18:45]Allah brings his command.
[18:45]So again there's no issue of loving this but don't prioritize it
[18:50]over the one of the benefits for these z of Husseinam going
[18:54]to walking for two to three days as if they are traveling
[18:58]toward the afterlife during the it looked like judgment day people seeking
[19:04]Hussein to gain and get his intercession on judgment day the that's
[19:09]how I can make that connection between and when I look at
[19:17]the But one of our major issues in this time in this
[19:20]era this dark times that we forget that our life must be
[19:27]always God- centered revolving around Allahh.
[19:29]My relationship with my parents, the love toward my parents is for
[19:35]the sake of Allah.
[19:35]The spouse, the husbands and the wife, parenting, it's all for the
[19:39]sake of Allah.
[19:41]There's nothing personal.
[19:42]When your parents are disciplining you, it's for the sake of Allah.
[19:46]When Allah told you please them, it's for the sake of him,
[19:50]not them.
[19:50]We find imballam teaching us that the essence of love is for
[19:59]Allah.
[19:57]You have to attach your heart just to Allah subhana tala.
[20:02]One of the major reasons why relationships are failing because it wasn't
[20:08]based on the love of Allahhana.
[20:11]Allah in the verse of marriage he said he made between you
[20:18]love and mercy.
[20:20]If the wife loves Allah the husband loves Allah this relationship will
[20:24]succeed and they will never have major problems because there is nothing
[20:29]personal.
[20:27]when she reminds him was something that will benefit the family and
[20:33]when he reminds her was something that will benefit the family.
[20:36]we will never face major problems and they will never call the
[20:41]sheh in in that sense immed as if he's sitting in a
[20:48]sunset scene writing a poem to Allahh in that dua he said
[20:50]my lord who is the one that tasted the sweetness of your
[20:56]love and saw another in place of you who is the one
[20:59]that found comfort in being near you and then looked for a
[21:05]substitute I ask you for your love and the love of every
[21:11]deed that brings me closer to you.
[21:16]Huge words.
[21:13]If Subhan Allah, let me say this truly truly for our dear
[21:21]sisters when someone is showing that love to Allah subhana wa ta'ala
[21:25]100% you can feel safe and secured and protected with that person.
[21:30]If someone from the bottom of his heart sincerely with devotion with
[21:34]commitment with honesty he can say these words to Allah then definitely
[21:41]he will be able to say it to the creation of Allahhana
[21:46]don't we have this when you are thankful and grateful to the
[21:50]creation you will be thankful and grateful to the creator the reason
[21:53]behind that love from toward Allah subhana wa ta'ala and why Allah
[22:00]is the scale of love from the narrations from prophet Muhammad peace
[22:04]be upon him.
[22:06]He said the strongest bond of Islam is to love for the
[22:08]sake of Allah and to hate for the sake of Allah.
[22:11]He also said the best of deeds is love for the sake
[22:15]of Allah and hate for the sake of Allah.
[22:16]Another hadith, love for the sake of Allah is the closest form
[22:21]of kinship.
[22:20]And he also said love for the sake of Allah is stronger
[22:24]than the ties of the womb.
[22:26]Allah subhana wa ta'ala his love is not for free.
[22:31]His mercy is for free.
[22:35]His mercy contained everything.
[22:40]But his love is not by default natural from him toward his
[22:44]creation because we have this verse in the Quran.
[22:47]If you loved Allah then follow the prophet and Allah will love
[22:49]you.
[22:50]Don't we have Rahman and Rahman entirely merciful toward all the creation?
[22:55]That's the general mercy.
[22:59]But alheim, the specific mercy is for those who prove to Allahh
[23:03]that they loved him.
[23:04]When you prove to Allah that you love him, Allah will love
[23:08]you.
[23:08]And then he will treat you different than the other creation and
[23:11]he will draw you closer to him.
[23:13]Now I im showed his love to Allahh.
[23:16]Look how Allah showed his love to his creation.
[23:19]He said, "No servant draws closer to me with anything more beloved
[23:24]to me than what I have made obligatory upon him." The wajat,
[23:31]those prayers, those simple things that we do every day as practicing
[23:35]Muslims, praying on time, fasting in the month of Ramadan, paving the
[23:38]way to go to that journey, spiritual journey of Hajj.
[23:41]Those are the most beloved acts to Allahh.
[23:44]He said, "No servant draws closer to me with anything more beloved
[23:49]to me than what I have made obligatory upon him.
[23:53]And he continues to draw closer to me through voluntary acts than
[23:57]a weapon." Im Hassan, he told us we have five signs of
[24:04]a believer.
[24:06]One of them is praying 51 units.
[24:08]the and we have 17 units and we have 34.
[24:14]So he said Allahh and he continues to draw closer to me
[24:21]through voluntary acts until I love him.
[24:24]And then he said when I love him I become his hearing
[24:29]which with which he hears, his sight with which he sees, his
[24:33]tongue with which he speaks and his hand with which he acts.
[24:37]He will be fully connected mentally, spiritually to Allahhana and Allah in
[24:44]a way he will guide the process in the journey of his
[24:47]life and Allah will make sure that he will reach perfection.
[24:50]Sallallahu alaihi The first major issue in our community that our relationship
[25:02]with each other is not rooted or revolving around Allahh.
[25:06]Second love rooted in gratitude.
[25:09]Allah said that if you try to count the blessings of Allahh
[25:18]they are countless.
[25:20]One of the reasons that Satan in a way he beautifies he
[25:24]deceives he take us in our imagination and gives us illusional thoughts
[25:29]that we feels that Allah is not fair with us many youth
[25:36]they start counting what they don't have Allah in the Quran always
[25:40]told us to count what we have and always if we try
[25:44]to count what we have they are countless we will keep that
[25:46]positive energy to always be grateful and thankful Allah in the Quran
[25:52]he didn't say Muslim or atheist he said grateful or ungrateful we
[25:59]guided him to both paths either he will be grateful or ungrateful
[26:05]think about something subhan Allah why say the Zam even when she
[26:12]experienced Kbala she still said I saw nothing but beauty because again
[26:16]Allahh will be the eyes with which we See, I imam said,
[26:21]"I saw nothing except I saw Allah behind and in front of
[26:26]it, to the right and to the left." They with their insight,
[26:29]they see Allah and everything.
[26:30]And Allah is beautiful.
[26:33]Allah said, "Allah brought you out of your mother's wombs not knowing
[26:37]anything.
[26:38]And he gave you hearing sight and hearts so that you may
[26:42]give thanks." We have this uh video on social media.
[26:46]Someone told someone, "I'll give you uh $20 million." But uh in
[26:53]one condition, you will not wake up tomorrow.
[26:56]We don't reflect and ponder that just the moment we walk up,
[27:01]this is an endless, priceless gift from Allahh to experience another day.
[27:13]>> Love for religion.
[27:17]We have this narration from Burbaw.
[27:19]He says he said, "I was with Abu Jafar alakam.
[27:24]When a man arrived from on foot, he took off his shoes
[27:31]and his feet were cracked and bleeding.
[27:33]He said, "By Allah, I did not come all this way except
[27:36]out of love for you." The Imam wept and said by Allah,
[27:45]if a stone were to love us, Allah would resurrect it with
[27:50]us.
[27:50]And then he said, and is religion anything but love?
[27:55]And then he added this verse from the Quran Kharim say if
[27:57]you love Allah then follow me and Allah will love you and
[28:02]forgive your sins.
[28:02]Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him said, "No one will complete his
[28:10]faith until I become more beloved to him than his pro than
[28:13]himself and my progeny more beloved to him than his progeny." When
[28:19]you have a safe and sound heart, that heart naturally will attract
[28:23]you toward who are considered perfect.
[28:25]And our religion guided us that Muhammad while Muhammad are the most
[28:32]perfect creation of Allahhana.
[28:33]Religion is nothing but love.
[28:37]When we say why love, you know when we teach Islamics especially
[28:41]in private programs, seminars, uh workshops, lectures, we try to guide the
[28:48]intellects, convince you that Allah subhana t is one.
[28:54]He exists.
[28:56]He's one.
[28:53]Quran is the endless miracle of creation and prophet Muhammad peace be
[29:01]upon him the final messenger we prove the will ofam and we
[29:05]give you also proof about the existence of afterlife and god's judgment
[29:09]here we're working at the intellectual level I used to think if
[29:14]we guided the intellects we build a strong foundation our youth will
[29:19]remain on the straight path then I realized that what maintains faith.
[29:26]What keep us consistent is not just working on the intellects is
[29:31]planting the seeds of love in the hearts.
[29:33]When Imam Bakr said religion is nothing but love, he was talking
[29:40]about this reality.
[29:39]What motivates us every day to come the mosque and pray on
[29:45]time is love.
[29:45]Not just knowing the benefits.
[29:49]Many youth they might understand and listen to a lot of lectures
[29:52]about the benefits of prayers and still where is the motivation?
[29:55]Where's the fire within?
[29:58]Who will motivate that individual to stand up and pray?
[30:01]Love.
[30:01]What motivates us to maintain fasting in the month of Ramadan and
[30:05]to grow spiritually in God's eye is love.
[30:09]What motivates youth to in a way pave the way and save
[30:15]money and prepare for that spiritual journey toward Haj is love.
[30:19]Religion is nothing but love.
[30:24]Who will convince those 20 plus million pilgrim visitors of Hussein to
[30:28]leave their lives and go to Kbala 100 more than 120 degrees.
[30:34]It's very hard to survive there and walk in that journey of
[30:37]love toward Hussein is these feelings toward the you know we have
[30:43]a hadith speaking about the end of times he said the believer
[30:45]will never be a true believer at the end of times except
[30:49]when they are called insane or crazy yes openly we can call
[30:52]these individuals crazy in love for Hussein Jabar he was old he
[31:00]was tired he was blind and still he fulfilled that responsibility that
[31:05]trust from the prophet to him and he visited Hussein saying Hussein
[31:10]when he visited him.
[31:14]So >> I will conclude with the word ma which is the
[31:27]practical love.
[31:25]We spoke about mahaba.
[31:29]Mahaba for Allah, for the prophet, for the B, for the dean
[31:31]religion.
[31:32]But ma is the practical love.
[31:35]Allah used mad in three places in the Quran.
[31:38]First toward the believers.
[31:43]If I'm claiming that we will be resurrected together after life and
[31:47]inshallah we will be granted the intercession of Hussein then our hearts
[31:51]must be united and we must serve each other and help each
[31:57]other and support each other.
[31:58]If someone called his brother in faith and requested help they must
[32:03]help.
[32:03]It's a mercy from Allahhana that individual.
[32:06]We have imam said to ib how is your love for your
[32:13]brothers in faith?
[32:14]replied by Allah I love them and I care for them.
[32:18]Imam told him if you see a man with strong love for
[32:25]his brothers that is how his religion is.
[32:27]Another verses in the Quran can be speaking about ma in families
[32:32]between spouses.
[32:33]Allahh said that prophet Muhammad the best among you are the best
[32:42]in serving and in supporting inside their homes inside their houses among
[32:46]their families.
[32:45]You know why Allah concentrated the attention on us in our houses?
[32:50]Because usually in your house you're natural, you're real.
[32:55]You're showing your true colors and your true self.
[32:57]So if you're able to discipline yourself inside your house, in front
[33:02]of your spouse, in front of your children, then definitely you're able
[33:05]to discipline that self outside.
[33:07]You know, naturally when we leave our homes, there is something within
[33:10]that we push our character.
[33:11]We don't show our true self inside the house, we show that.
[33:17]So if I'm merciful and I'm loving and I'm caring and I'm
[33:21]supportive inside that home, then I'm like that toward all believers and
[33:26]to toward all mankind.
[33:27]Allah said he made between you love and mercy.
[33:30]And final verse in the Quran mentioning ma is when all the
[33:37]messengers and the prophets when they told their people we don't want
[33:42]any worldly gains for preaching this message.
[33:44]I was talking to an atheist once and he told me that
[33:48]religion is nothing but business and money and you know the rest.
[33:52]I told him it might be that there's percentage of so-called believers
[33:57]they might be preaching the message for the sake of money but
[34:02]go to the imams and the prophets and those who actually brought
[34:06]this message to existence.
[34:06]Prophet Musa lost all the gains in the castle of Pharaoh preaching
[34:11]the religion Judaism.
[34:14]Jesus, he was the most detached individual living on the face of
[34:19]the planet and he paid the price preaching Christianity.
[34:22]And we see prophet Muhammad peace be upon him who was nominated
[34:26]to be the king in Quraysh.
[34:27]He was the most respected figure in Meccar preaching Islam made him
[34:34]lose or gain.
[34:33]He lost at the materialistic and financial and worldly level.
[34:40]But the only prophet who requested something for the price of his
[34:44]message is prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasall.
[34:47]We have nine verses in the Quran.
[34:48]Allah told the prophet Muhammad if prophet Muhammad was left to himself
[34:53]he will say except prophet Muhammad he said I'm not asking you
[34:59]for any worldly gains except practical love toward my progeny and from
[35:04]this podium I'm saying those who does not love will never know
[35:09]the prophet and they are worshiping God different than the real god
[35:13]prophet Muhammad he said Hussein Hussein Hussein is from me and I
[35:20]am from Hussein.
[35:19]God loved those who loved Hussein because without Im Hussein.
[35:24]There is no there is no the door to the city of
[35:27]the prophet Ali and there is no the city of the prophet
[35:33]prophet Muhammad and there is no.
[35:34]So we thank Hussein for his sacrifices and keeping this message lasting
[35:41]toward the judgment day.
[35:42]If Allah subhana t cared and loved the servant, he will cle
[35:49]in their hearts the love for Im Hussein.
[36:06]Hussein Hussein Hussein Hussein.
[36:40]Everyone please stand in honor of Imam Hussein for a couple minutes.
[36:45]Inshallah the youth who want to come forward inshallah to make the
[36:51]maj Hussein Hussein Hussein Hussein Hussein Allah Hussein Hussein Hussein Allah and
[37:44]pray together.
[37:45]Who knows next who will be alive?
[37:48]Who will not be alive?
[37:48]Say hussein as it's your last time.
[37:51]Hussein [Laughter] Hussein Hussein Hussein Allah Hussein Look from the shrine of
[38:36]Ali.
[38:37]Look from the shrine of Ali.
[38:41]Millions of drops reach the sea.
[38:46]This path of love is truly unmatched throughout history.
[38:55]Look from the shrine of Ali.
[38:59]Millions of drops reach the sea.
[39:04]This path of love is truly unmatched throughout history.
[39:13]From all over the world.
[39:18]Through the heat and the cold.
[39:22]From all over the world, through the heat and the cold.
[39:32]The army of Hussein walks to him.
[39:36]This love is worth more than gold.
[39:41]From all over the world, through the heat and the cold, the
[39:51]army of Hussein walks to him.
[39:54]This love is worth more than gold.
[39:58]The greatest journey, the peak of honor and the march of unity,
[40:05]reaching the sea.
[40:07]Like Zuisi, nothing throughout this path except faith and beauty.
[40:13]God's great decree.
[40:16]The greatest journey, the peak of honor and the march of unity,
[40:22]reaching the sea.
[40:25]Like Zab, we see nothing throughout this path except faith and beauty.
[40:34][Music] The youth, everyone.
[40:42][Music] This flame of love never dies.
[41:10]Your true lovers always rise.
[41:14]The flame of love never dies.
[41:18]Your true lovers always rise.
[41:23]The one far from you has lost.
[41:27]The one far from you has lost.
[41:32]The one who serves you is wise.
[41:36]Even in storms and rain, this red flag will remain.
[41:45]Even in storms and rain, this red flag will remain.
[41:53]1,400 years have passed and still the world is chanting Hussein.
[42:02]Even in storms and rain, this red flag will remain.
[42:11]1,400 years have passed and still the world is chanting Hussein.
[42:19]The lantern of light.
[42:22]The star who gave mankind hope in the darkest night and gave
[42:27]us sight.
[42:28]Your flag will unite all of mankind under the shadow of its
[42:35]height.
[42:36]What a delight.
[42:40]Hussein la.
[42:43][Music] One more time everyone together.
[43:13]Hussein [Music] though you fell your flag stands tall like you I'll
[43:34]stand till I fall.
[43:34]May I die for you one day.
[43:39]I am waiting for your call.
[43:43]Though you fell, your flag stands tall.
[43:47]Like you all stand till I fall.
[43:51]May I die for you one day.
[43:56]I am waiting for your call.
[44:00]The master of the free.
[44:04]Please take a glance at me.
[44:09]The master of the free.
[44:13]Please take a glance at me.
[44:17]I am the worst of the worst.
[44:26]Hussein.

[44:44]under your command.
[44:46]I wish to spread your story throughout every land until the end.
[44:52]Will you help me stand?
[44:56]Please invite me to Charbala, my true homeland.
[44:59]Don't leave my head under your command.
[45:04]I wish to spread your story throughout every land.
[45:07]Every land.
[45:11]Will you help me stand?
[45:14]Please invite me to Charbala, my true homeland.
[45:17]Don't leave my hand.
[45:21][Music] Whoever knows this will say it with me.
[45:34]I will I leave you never.
[45:39]Never.
[45:40]Hold my hand forever.
[45:42]Ever will I leave you?
[45:50]Never.
[45:52]Never.
[45:47]Hold my hand forever.
[45:53]Ever.
[45:54]This love is a treasure.
[45:57]Treasure.
[45:58]Hussein.
[45:58]Life is death within every breath.
[46:07]By God without your pain.
[46:13]Life will land truly a dead end by God without Hain.
[46:19]Hain the ark of salvation.
[46:25]Hussein the ark of salvation.
[46:31]Hussein the hope of creation.
[46:37]Hussein mankind's destination.
[46:44]Hussein the ark of salvation.
[46:51]The hope of creation.
[46:55]Mankind's destination.
[46:59]Hussein will I leave you.
[47:06]Never.
[47:07]Never.
[47:09]Hold my hand forever.
[47:09]Ever will I leave you.
[47:11]Never.
[47:13]Never.
[47:15]Hold my hand for ever.
[47:16]Ever.
[47:17]This love is a treasure.
[47:23]Treasure.
[47:30][Music] Let's recite the dua together on the day of Friday.
[47:40][Music] for [Music] what for [Music] all [Music] of the [Music] to
[48:48][Music] [Music] um in a way shy or embarrassed to ask any
[52:10]question.
[52:11]All questions are in a way accepted and um no embarrassment in
[52:19]religion or science.
[52:26]You read it as is or you filter the question before.
[52:34]>> Sorry.
[52:37]One second.
[52:36]>> Allah is still okay.
[52:39]Go ahead.
[52:43]The first question is if you've done a nid uh but you
[52:48]were unable to keep your promise, do you have to pay something?
[52:51]Usually we have this principle in Islam there's exponential maxim if there
[52:58]is a reason a major reason that let you to not be
[53:03]able to fulfill that nether then Allah might execuse you but usually
[53:05]who did not fulfill a nether has to pay a kafar and
[53:11]the kafar is feeding tempo poor believers I love that the expiration
[53:14]in Islam the in a way the kafarat they are actually beneficial
[53:20]to the society so if If you're unable to fulfill another, you
[53:23]feed 10 believers and there's every mosque usually they will help you
[53:27]in that especially we have a lot um of poor and needy
[53:32]Muslims especially in Iraq or Lebanon or Middle East in general.
[53:34]So don't worry if you did not fulfill that neither.
[53:37]There's al also another way.
[53:38]Sorry, let me mention this give you a complete answer.
[53:43]Your guardian or your religious authority can uh in a way remove
[53:46]that neither from you.
[53:46]So if you're a son and you have a father and you
[53:49]you made a nither for Allahh that you can't fulfill, you can
[53:52]go to your father and he can remove that nither spiritually from
[53:56]you.
[53:57]So you don't need to pay kafar.
[53:58]If a wife made a nither, her husband can remove that nither
[54:00]for her.
[54:01]But at the end, if you violated Islamic ruling, you didn't fulfill
[54:05]that neither.
[54:07]You have to feed tempur Muslims one meal.
[54:10]Thank you.
[54:10]>> Thank you, Shakna.
[54:13]Um, the next question on the list is, "If a cat's fur
[54:16]is on a prayer mat and I pray on it without removing
[54:17]the fur, is that haram?" >> On the prayer mat, >> yes.
[54:20]>> And the fur is not coming the clothes.
[54:22]>> No, it just says uh if the if the fur um
[54:25]what's it called?
[54:26]If a cat's fur is on the prayer mat, um and they
[54:29]pray on it without realizing it um that it's still there.
[54:32]>> It's fine.
[54:34]Catfur is not neg.
[54:37]But it's not allowed in clothing in prayer in your clothes in
[54:40]prayer, but it's not neg.
[54:41]So being around the floor is fine in prayer.
[54:43]Now just you have to make sure that it's not coming to
[54:47]the clo while you're praying.
[54:47]Now if you don't know, you don't know.
[54:50]You need to have certainty in this.
[54:52]Uh now the only place that it must be tar in prayer
[54:57]is the place of sujud.
[54:58]So god forbid if you're praying on a n's floor but it's
[55:02]dry.
[55:03]So the nasa will not transfer to your clo but the place
[55:05]of sujud is then it's fine.
[55:06]Catfair is still fine as we mentioned.
[55:08]Just you have to make sure that it's not coming to your
[55:12]clothes.
[55:13]If it's on the prayer mat, it's fine.
[55:13]>> Okay.
[55:14]Thank you.
[55:14]>> May Allah reward you for taking care of your pets.
[55:18]>> Thank you.
[55:19]Now, for the next question, we're going to go into the crowd.
[55:21]Um, do any brothers, if you want to raise your hand, you
[55:23]have any questions?
[55:26]If not, I'll just continue with the list.
[55:28]Oh, we have a brother over here.
[55:34]>> Brother, >> um, I have a question about salah.
[55:38]Like let's say you read the surah or like anything wrong during
[55:41]the would the cons be considered like everything you say in prayer
[55:45]is a minor part is not major part and if you made
[55:50]mistake in a minor part uh not purposeful definitely by accident then
[55:54]it's fine you can continue that prayer you there's some places you
[56:01]have to do so but everything you say whether in injalah They
[56:08]are all minor parts.
[56:10]So if you made mistake verbally or you're in a second part
[56:12]and you were certain that you made mistake in fat, it's fine.
[56:17]You can continue.
[56:16]The major parts in prayer are the intention standing bowing down and
[56:24]to prostrations.
[56:24]Those if you made mistakes in them by accident or on purpose
[56:30]then sadly you must repeat the prayer.
[56:32]But anything you say in prayer is a minor part.
[56:34]making mistakes by accident is fine.
[56:35]Thank you for your question.
[56:38]>> Thank you brother for your question.
[56:41]Um the next question on this list is an interesting one.
[56:42]So we see a lot of different maraj have different rulings on
[56:45]music.
[56:45]So is all music haram or just the music that has bad
[56:49]words is the next question.
[56:52]By the way the word music it need a lecture by the
[56:57]way to answer the lecture but I will try to summarize as
[57:02]much as I can.
[57:01]The word ma which are the sounds they are not haram in
[57:07]Islam.
[57:07]We have mus in the Quran.
[57:09]The birds, the trees, they all do mus.
[57:11]They all do sounds in nature, natural sounds.
[57:13]They are all permissible.
[57:14]It's part of God's creation.
[57:17]Now melody, that's a melody.
[57:22]The lyrics, which are the content of the music, this is the
[57:26]the first rule or or let me say the first part of
[57:31]the answer.
[57:33]the lyrics.
[57:32]If the lyrics inspiring, motivating for something that Allah is displeased with,
[57:36]then music is haram.
[57:37]The mar will never go listen to all albums and start specifying
[57:42]this is haram, this is not.
[57:44]Truly if you're listening to any music ma is not used in
[57:47]haram gatherings and the lyrics is fine is motivating you to in
[57:54]a way have more energy be more productive have faith in yourself
[58:03]self-confidence relying on Allahh we have these mjat we call them not
[58:07]yet we do lot when we be on our chest for we
[58:13]have malis we when we just write a poem about Allahhana tala
[58:17]we use some music melody with it and just that's it it's
[58:22]a song those are halal songs educational songs are halal music that
[58:26]they use it for example psychologically they use it to heal certain
[58:31]patients or in a way those are all permissible halal music the
[58:37]haram music the melody is used in haram gatherings the lyrics is
[58:41]motivating you to sound something haram Yeah, definitely it's easy to distinguish
[58:44]between halal and haram music.
[58:48]But be cautious.
[58:47]We have some singers.
[58:49]Sometimes they sing some music that it's fine, beneficial.
[58:54]They have some music, it's haram.
[58:56]So just be cautious that when you're listening to that individual, you're
[59:00]giving him some attention.
[59:02]Um so again, any music, not just cussing, not just about cussing
[59:09]the bad words.
[59:09]Um, subhan Allah, just there's science how music affect your nervous system,
[59:14]your willpower, the way you think, the way you feel, that system
[59:18]within.
[59:19]There's some sort of music.
[59:22]It weakens you.
[59:22]You can't control your emotions or your anger anymore because of listening
[59:27]to that music.
[59:28]We have unfortunately some sisters and brothers they listen to sad music
[59:33]after breaking up for example which will make them more depressed and
[59:36]will make their feelings overcome their intellects making them weaker socially which
[59:42]might lead to harm.
[59:42]So be cautious and careful.
[59:47]By the way now are so inspiring truly truly if just focus
[59:50]on and Quran in your cars and duas you you will not
[59:54]have more time to listen to any other music than this.
[59:57]Thank you for the question.
[59:58]>> Thank you, Shakna.
[60:00]Um, we're going to move to the sisters next.
[60:02]Uh, sister Hiba, do you want to uh see if one of
[60:03]the sisters have a question now?
[60:08]>> And usually I force the audience, everyone to ask me one
[60:13]question.
[60:16]Friendly uh request.
[60:19]>> Well, I have a question here.
[60:24]Oh, do we have a question?
[60:24]Oh, yeah.
[60:32]So can I have color ash?
[60:37]>> Can I have >> and I was distracted by your smile
[60:44]so I didn't hear the question?
[60:45]>> I can.
[60:47]It's okay.
[60:48]I can wear color in ash.
[60:51]>> Can he wear colors during ashura?
[60:55]ah colors.
[60:55]>> Subhan Allah.
[60:57]There's science for colors and every color represents something usually listen wearing
[61:02]black in ash is mustab because it will strengthen the identity of
[61:07]so when you're wearing black you're helping the school of thought of
[61:11]to grow because it's a collective effort.
[61:14]It's a group effort.
[61:17]It's not just one individual wearing rings in the right hand.
[61:20]All of these external signs of Shia it's important because it really
[61:24]gives strength, power, energy for this school of thought.
[61:29]But now wearing colors are permissible.
[61:30]It's not haram.
[61:33]And by the way, any color you wear still your smile will
[61:37]be attractive.
[61:38]Yes.
[61:39]>> Uh thank you Jacna.
[61:41]Um I want to give the sisters another chance.
[61:44]So I'm gonna read a question from this list.
[61:47]So, can teenage girls wear light colored clothes is the next question.
[61:50]>> Teenage >> teenage girls are they allowed to wear light colored
[61:53]clothes like white or like light blue or something along those lines.
[61:57]>> We have the the principle of libass of clothing in Islam.
[62:02]It's really affected by the social norms and the social customs.
[62:07]So, if society people used to to wear certain colors in certain
[62:12]society, it will not make it haram.
[62:14]Go to naf.
[62:16]You can't wear other than black or or white because if a
[62:18]female wore different than than she would be so attractive there but
[62:25]in United States or in the west or certain countries also there's
[62:27]a lot of places in Lebanon the social norms how people wear
[62:33]how people talk how people walk affect the Islamic ruling.
[62:35]So that's why you have to decide there's certain colors that attract
[62:40]the eye.
[62:42]it bring unnecessary attention uh and it cause unnecessary distraction like for
[62:46]example light red colors for example just that's what came to my
[62:50]mind but now when it comes to white colors I don't think
[62:54]white colors except if they are transparent in that sense but no
[62:57]I I I I like these colors in this area I don't
[63:01]think it attract the attention it's normal many people wear it so
[63:05]intellectually or with our conscious we're used to look at people wearing
[63:09]these colors which will make it permissible.
[63:12]So you have to apply the rule based on your lifestyles and
[63:16]the places you go to and what attracts you, what attracts the
[63:20]general public, not you.
[63:23]Let me tell you the story.
[63:25]We had a teacher once someone came to him.
[63:28]He told him she even the attracts me.
[63:30]He told him you have a psychological problem.
[63:32]You need a psychiatrist.
[63:33]Like some people they actually have certain problems.
[63:38]But despite that uh we have to talk about the general public
[63:41]of believers.
[63:43]Uh I don't think white color is an issue.
[63:44]Light color is different than white color.
[63:47]And just >> thank you for your question.
[63:52]We have a brother over here that has a question.
[63:56]>> Um my question is in regards to and specifically making a
[64:02]nad.
[64:04]So uh for my career I made a a nazer to pray
[64:09]salat le 40 nights consecutively um which I did in the end
[64:14]of it what um I requested from Allah for lack of a
[64:17]better term was not granted um >> it wasn't granted >> yeah
[64:22]I I didn't get exactly what I wanted.
[64:23]So my question to you is uh I guess two parts.
[64:28]one is could this be a sign Allah saying no as in
[64:35]don't pursue this um or rather because I heard of um a
[64:37]hadith where sometimes Allah wants the believer to continuously cry continuously ask
[64:44]for um mercy help etc um because sometimes when you get what
[64:49]you want you forget about Allah so he wants you to continue
[64:53]asking for him so um you know based on your expert expertise
[64:57]which one would you think >> first inshallah um after the Q&A
[65:03]I need to know specifically what you requested from Allah subhanaa tala
[65:07]it will be between me and you because knowing it it will
[65:10]actually help me giving you the true answer for example if I'm
[65:17]asking I don't know anything about you just I'm saying that if
[65:20]I'm asking for example uh for Allah subhana ta to find me
[65:26]the right spouse Just I'm giving that as an example and after
[65:29]the 40 nights I still did not find that individual marriage for
[65:34]example is recommended in Islam.
[65:36]So never Allah will say no to marriage.
[65:39]That's why if you know that we can't do on the person
[65:44]in marriage why because Allah will never decide on your behalf.
[65:46]You must decide.
[65:49]Now put marriage aside.
[65:49]Um I like that you use the Quranic term.
[65:54]We use salah usually but is the Quranic term.
[66:00]Um sometimes Allahhana tala there is a lot of narrations from for
[66:07]example he told us that Allah will tell the angels do not
[66:11]give him what he want.
[66:11]I love to keep hearing his voice.
[66:14]Second, it might be that Allah subhana t want you to continue
[66:21]praying whether he accepted or not because is the only prayer prayer
[66:25]in Islam that it's recommended to redo it to do forat in
[66:29]the daytime because the benefit of is in the essence of that
[66:35]prayer.
[66:35]So in a way that Allah is telling you do not appraise
[66:38]for something else pray for keep that in mind.
[66:44]So when you want to do another for Allah to accept the
[66:48]what you're requesting from him, don't do the salat for 40 nights.
[66:56]Pray salat for because there's a endless blessings.
[66:58]Imm counted 25 benefits of and he said that the benefits are
[67:04]endless.
[67:06]The light, the sustenance, the ease of death in the grave.
[67:12]Subhan Allah.
[67:13]But again let me just give you the answer.
[67:17]Never play salat for something else.
[67:18]Pray it for salat.
[67:19]That's the message from Allahhana tala.
[67:21]And second either change your nither change what you ask Allahhana tala
[67:31]or put and inshallah I will give you the complete answer when
[67:34]I speak to you on the side.
[67:36]what you requested from Allah to be able inshallah to in a
[67:41]way um give you the spirit why Allahh did not accept what
[67:47]you requested from him but in my humble opinion because you prayed
[67:52]salat for something else Allah didn't accept that you have to pray
[67:57]for and your patience definitely will compensate you for that afterlife thank
[68:02]you so yes >> thank you brother and thank you Shakna for
[68:05]uh answer the question.
[68:08]The next one we have is a interesting question.
[68:11]So this individual says he works as a taxi driver and sometimes
[68:14]I'm taking people to haram places like clubs, bars, and liquor stores,
[68:17]but I don't know.
[68:20]Uh I don't know.
[68:20]I'm I'm taking them there since it doesn't tell me.
[68:24]Does this make my haram income haram?
[68:26]Please don't laugh if I if I gave this answer first.
[68:30]Um just I wanted to say um I I will leave that
[68:37]on the sideline.
[68:39]Sometimes thinking positively.
[68:39]So you might take them these places and they're not doing haram
[68:44]in it.
[68:43]But this is a naive answer.
[68:49]You're being naive.
[68:48]Uh now first never ask about more details because when you know
[68:56]then you're responsible about what you know.
[68:58]True this one.
[69:00]So as a taxi driver first may Allah bless your effort and
[69:03]it's not an easy thing especially these people work at night and
[69:07]daytime sometimes it's unsafe and they take their their people to to
[69:11]unsafe places just for them to seek halal livelihood and and please
[69:18]Allah subhana tala.
[69:18]So first may Allah bless him.
[69:20]Immik used to kiss the hand of the worker especially the seeking
[69:27]halal.
[69:25]Second, when for example someone calls me, I will go for example
[69:31]give him a right to some place.
[69:34]It's best to not ask him what he's doing or what he's
[69:37]going to do there.
[69:39]So that person will just give him the right, take what it's
[69:42]right for him and then go back home.
[69:44]That's it.
[69:46]Uh jurisprudentially it's permissible.
[69:49]There's nothing haram with doing that.
[69:51]Now unfortunately if he knew with certainty that that person is going
[69:55]to do 1 2 3 4 then mandatory precaution he shouldn't assist
[70:01]him in haram.
[70:03]This is assisting someone in what?
[70:04]In haram which will lead that it might be an issue.
[70:07]There is one exception.
[70:11]If god forbid uh he will not be able to pay his
[70:13]bills or he will be needy or poor or dependent or he
[70:18]will beg for money at the end of the month to be
[70:22]able to uh fulfill his responsibilities in that case particular case then
[70:27]there's a pressure on him then yes he might use what I
[70:30]said take that individual without asking him question take what he earned
[70:35]usually and just return home and by but but by the way
[70:40]he must also put an intention to find an alternative if majority
[70:43]of his rights toward these places.
[70:46]Make sense?
[70:47]If now I'm working taxi driver and 90% of times I'm taking
[70:50]people to normal places, halal places, then if there's 10% then it's
[70:57]still fine.
[70:56]But if majority of his work is taking people to haram places
[71:02]then he must start seeking an alternative.
[71:04]>> Thank you Shakna so much.
[71:07]Um I have another individual.
[71:08]He asks um is there a recommended dua to make loss for
[71:12]their father?
[71:12]>> Loss for the father.
[71:14]>> Yes.
[71:16]>> Subhan Allah.
[71:18]I Islam is a very merciful message.
[71:20]Gave solutions for all problems.
[71:23]You know many of us might really uh regret if our parents
[71:31]departed and they are displeased with us.
[71:34]True.
[71:32]Allahh opened a way to please our parents even if they passed
[71:40]away.
[71:39]Let me be honest with you which will please you more worldly
[71:44]gifts like now going buying a flower and giving it to someone
[71:48]or sending gifts spiritual gifts real gifts.
[71:53]Prophet Muhammad said give gifts for your deceased.
[71:59]He said they said how?
[72:00]He said go to their graves, recite fata, donate on their behalf
[72:04]etc.
[72:05]Now the best dua for is what imbam taught us in and
[72:11]as we don't give the rights for this unfortunately usually if we
[72:17]focus on different duas but we must build relationship with this of
[72:23]im there is dua for the deceased there's dua for and there
[72:27]is no better than the Quranic verse now but if you want
[72:35]a full let me call a package of spiritual gifts toward the
[72:40]parents.
[72:38]Go pray jama in the mosque if if you really have time
[72:43]and you need for example to dedicate uh one day a week
[72:47]or a month or a year toward your parents because there there
[72:49]are some people dedicate one day a year.
[72:50]They do senya they invite families they feed they go pray in
[72:57]the mosque pray to units for them donate on their behalf in
[73:00]the mosque.
[73:01]Go to the cemetery, recite some Quran or duas there and return.
[73:05]This is the best gift.
[73:07]Once do it, your parents will be pleased if they were displeased.
[73:11]But to be practical with you, the best gift for your parents
[73:17]is you being righteous, you being on the straight path, you just
[73:22]serving your communities and serving the school of thought of.
[73:27]You don't have to do what I said.
[73:30]Just be a religious image, a productive image, a supportive image of
[73:35]the followers of among the followers of Albam.
[73:39]Your breathing will be a reward to your parents.
[73:42]May you're the continuous charity that your parents left in this world.
[73:46]Thank you for this question.
[73:47]>> Thank you so much, Shehna.
[73:49]Um, we have one last question and then we're going to wrap
[73:52]it up inshallah.
[73:54]Uh, the last question is, did the concept of the 40th start
[73:56]with Imm Hussein?
[73:58]Is there any other mention of the four of Hussein?
[74:00]Like I know in the Quran for example, I believe it's mentioned
[74:04]about prophet MS and but I was want to see your perspective
[74:06]on this as well.
[74:08]Subhan Allah.
[74:10]The there's some scholars that they dedicated some time to uh discover
[74:15]some secrets in numbers.
[74:17]So we have for example famous numbers like 7 12 um 40
[74:22]in the Quran and the hadith.
[74:24]There's no time to mention a lot of things about them.
[74:27]But a lot of scholars they said this is knowledge that neither
[74:29]benefit nor harm.
[74:32]Don't waste time on it.
[74:32]But now the concept of 40 we have yes that prophet Musa
[74:37]Alisam went to the mountain and then Allah added 10 where scholars
[74:41]mystics they were able to write some spiritual programs under the number
[74:46]40.
[74:47]You need 40 days to discipline anger, 40 days to discipline desires,
[74:53]40 days to discipline imagination.
[74:54]There's a lot of scholars they wrote books about that.
[74:56]Um but in the Quran just number 40 were mentioned like that
[75:03]in the hadith we have from imm and when scholars they went
[75:11]to explain and this narration unfortunately they not all of them agreed
[75:17]that the imar is speaking about is but when said he didn't
[75:26]say referring to visiting ing 40 believers.
[75:27]So he's referring to a specific z and subhan allah Allah guided
[75:33]the process where she are gathered there and let us be honest
[75:36]with each other.
[75:39]Im Hussein he brought that identity globally.
[75:41]Without Hussein we will never be an international sect in Islam.
[75:51]He brought dignity, honor, respect and again are all one light.
[75:56]So when I say IM Hussein you it means I im ali
[75:57]Hassan and all the rest of the imams but the story of
[76:00]Kbalah the sacrifice of Hussein that's why the prophet said Hussein Hussein
[76:04]Hussein from me and I am from Hussein my continuity will be
[76:10]from the sacrifices of Hussein what he will do what he will
[76:14]do in Kbala will keep the Quran scholars they said if Imam
[76:16]Hussein did not give that sacrifice to awaken the hearts of the
[76:19]nation to start revolutions there's no time to to elaborate more but
[76:25]before Hussein we didn't see revolutions in the Islamic religion after Hussein
[76:30]now people they woke up they started marching processions for justice and
[76:35]there's a lot happened in the time of the and the abbassids
[76:39]and so on and so forth but again was mentioned in that
[76:42]hadith but we have keep that in mind that principle we have
[76:48]something called so when we see majority of the religious people in
[76:55]history they used to do this meaning logically they saw an evidence
[77:03]that we might not seen you know that there's a lot of
[77:08]sh libraries were were burned in history and we lost a lot
[77:12]of resources so that's why or the history of scholars and the
[77:16]religious Shia throughout history that the know like Can you imagine that
[77:27]every year we had z can you imagine that tyrants and oppressors
[77:31]were trying to stop the z cutting arms cutting hands killing every
[77:36]time they will kill one and still rel the religious shia they
[77:40]were consistent about it so definitely there's baraka in it that this
[77:46]by itself the proof that we have all these religious people throughout
[77:51]history maintaining that z every single year is a proof by itself
[77:54]makes sense.
[77:56]Yes, we have the Quran, we have the Hadith, we have is
[78:02]we have intellect and we have as well.
[78:04]Uh uh let me give you an example.
[78:06]You know that we don't have a solid proof about that cutting
[78:09]your beard at 0 is forbidden in Islam.
[78:11]True.
[78:12]But why scholars still said that it's forbidden in Islam?
[78:17]Because of that.
[78:22]Thank you so much Sheha.
[78:27]Let's please give She Muhammad a loud salawat >> and thank you
[78:34]so much for inviting me.
[78:34]It was a blessed gathering and I thank Allahh that that I
[78:39]was able this year to serve in this uh great and blessed
[78:42]mosque and may Allahh protect our youth and inshallah we can um
[78:49]work together to serve Im Hussein Alisam and Alam as united hearts.
[78:53]Im Mahi said if our Shia uh were working together under one
[79:01]heart united heart then our reappearance will not be delayed.
[79:03]So inshallah we're moving toward that.
[79:06]We love you all because we are obliged by the to love
[79:10]believers.
[79:11]Inshallah will be resurrected together with Hussein receiving the intercession of Im
[79:17]Hussein on judgment day.
