[36:33]please kindly join me in welcoming him to the member with the
[36:35]recitation of three loud salawat allah muhammad wa ali muhammad in the
[39:38]quran surah number 31 verse number 27 allah he says and if
[39:43]all of the trees and the earth were to become pens and
[39:46]all of the sea and the seas you were to add seven
[39:48]more seas onto them and to make them ink you will never
[39:50]be able to complete the word of allah and surely allah is
[39:54]mighty and wise and allah the high the wise speaks the truth
[39:58]irrespected elders brothers and sisters just to remind all of ourselves that
[40:07]we are in the blessed month of rajab the month of allah
[40:09]rasoolallah muhammad he says rajab is a month which no month compares
[40:23]to its sanctity and its merits there is no month which compares
[40:26]to the sanctity and the merit of the month of rajab now
[40:29]normally expect a statement like this about the month of ramadan because
[40:32]the month of ramadan is the month of you know utmost spirituality
[40:36]some of the or some of the hadiths seem to suggest it's
[40:39]the start of a new year but rajab is the month which
[40:41]rasulullah says this is the month like no other and so bar
[40:44]rajab has a very specific significance in itself and so a reminder
[40:48]to ourselves to make the most of this holy month of rajab
[40:51]rasulullah carries on and he says do you not see that even
[40:54]the arabs of jahiliyah used to uphold the sanctity of rajab such
[40:58]that these people who are bloodthirsty and who used to fight over
[41:01]everything small or big in the month of rajab they stopped fighting
[41:05]even the arabs of jahiliyah respected the sanctity of the month of
[41:09]rajab then he carries on and he says as for the one
[41:12]who fasts one day in the month of rajab he becomes deserving
[41:16]of rizwan allah al akbar he becomes deserving of the highest pleasures
[41:22]of allah subhanahu wa ta'ala you know in the quran allah mentions
[41:26]many of the the rewards in paradise rivers beneath which rivers gardens
[41:31]beneath which rivers flow you know rivers of this and rivers of
[41:34]milk rivers of honey rivers of wine wine which is not intoxicating
[41:38]fruits etcetera you find all of these descriptions but then allah says
[41:42]but the pleasure of allah is better than all of those rewards
[41:47]rasulullah says to fast one day of rajab make sure deserving of
[41:52]that grand pleasure of allah then he says and as for the
[41:56]one who fasts the day in rajab allah's anger goes far away
[42:00]from him and they close one door of jahannam from him as
[42:03]well and we have no excuse are in the winter period where
[42:06]the days are much shorter and we can fast quite easily inshaallah
[42:10]so this month of rajab is a month we have to take
[42:12]full advantage of that's another reminder to he says raja because it's
[42:25]the month of allah it is the month of istighfar it is
[42:30]the month of seeking allah's forgiveness and so keep on seeking the
[42:35]forgiveness of allah innumerously do it as much as you can and
[42:39]imam al sadiq then says rasulullah recommended specifically to recite i seek
[42:46]the forgiveness of allah and i ask his repentance you know one
[42:50]beautifully said once that when it comes to many of us come
[42:54]on and that's when we start our journey to allah but the
[42:58]journey was meant to begin on the first of rajab if on
[43:01]the first of rajab you begin your journey to allah then becomes
[43:05]a complete different night of opportunity but if your is the start
[43:10]of your journey allah then will lose that maximization you could have
[43:14]got out of it so we should start the from now every
[43:17]night before you go to bed do you want this be of
[43:20]istikfar five minutes of your time half an hour to an hour
[43:24]we spend on social media five minutes of your time do one
[43:26]istikfar before you go to bed rest have two extra before you
[43:30]go to bed fast one or two days of the week especially
[43:33]in these winter periods and see how it starts to change your
[43:36]life and not just change your life see how shaqaban becomes much
[43:39]more beautiful than before see how shahar ramadan gains an extra dimension
[43:43]than it does before but that's if you start your journey in
[43:46]this holy month of rajab we pray to allah to allow us
[43:49]to start our journey to him inshaallah in this holy month of
[43:51]rajab inshaallah and on this third eve of raja we commemorate the
[43:56]shi'ada anniversary of the tenth holy imam as we know other than
[44:08]the first few imams we don't always talk as much or know
[44:11]as much as the about the imams below them so you know
[44:14]fourth fifth fourth we know a bit fifth we know a tiny
[44:17]bit sixth we know more because we're called jafari then seventh danwad
[44:21]starts to haze out a little bit from my brief research the
[44:24]sources also blur out a little bit because you have to remember
[44:27]that time was very difficult you know the umayyads and the abbasids
[44:31]many of alama said the abbasids were 10 times worse yes on
[44:35]the face of it when they started their revolution against the umayyads
[44:37]they came out saying they will support al muhammad they will return
[44:40]the right to its rightful position but it turned out that the
[44:44]abbasids were 10 times worse than the umayyads the umayyads were people
[44:48]who were they were known for their fists they were known to
[44:51]be people of luxuries you know the last umayyad caliph his name
[44:54]was marwan al khimar marwan the donkey when he for example he
[44:58]asked them to make him a swimming pool they made him a
[45:01]swimming pool they made the pool then they were gonna put water
[45:03]inside he said wait i want wine inside this pool so they
[45:06]made us him a swimming pool of wine and he was known
[45:09]as marwan the donkey because he always used to come with the
[45:12]donke monkeys and donkeys on his palace so these are people who
[45:15]are outwardly sinning the abbasids were different outwardly they looked religious outwardly
[45:22]they'd spread knowledge they'd have they'd commissioned scholars but these were the
[45:26]people that hated al muhammad the first abbasid caliph was known as
[45:30]abu al abbasid safa as safa means the bloodthirsty one and he
[45:35]was known to kill thousands from the sadat thousands such that the
[45:39]narration say he used to ask people how many of the sadat
[45:43]have we killed today and he used to show pride at the
[45:46]numbers he was killing of the sadat this is the timing in
[45:49]which imam al hari lived we had these abbasid caliphs that had
[45:53]this strong hatred for al muhammad since they used to kill the
[45:56]sadat on mass not just that they used to imprison them on
[45:59]mass some narrations say there were so many ladies that used to
[46:03]share one chadar beneath them to pray salah imagine if 10 ladies
[46:08]are sharing sharing one since namask chaddar because they could not come
[46:12]and we have anything more and some narrations suggest as well that
[46:15]at this time the sadat or those especially from the the line
[46:18]of abu talib they would have some economic blockade on them to
[46:22]the extent that the abbasid caliphs would say please do not deal
[46:26]with these people now when they say don't deal with them it
[46:28]doesn't just mean we're going to look down upon you it means
[46:30]we're going to come after you so those who showed any love
[46:34]for al muhammad they will not be able to go and buy
[46:37]from the stores this became really bad at the time of where
[46:47]as it's famously known imam al qasqabi would tell his companions in
[46:51]public do not look at me in public do not say salaam
[46:54]to me in public take your ring off your right hand and
[46:58]put it on your left hand because in sufin there was a
[47:02]man who after moving from imam ali to morawiyah he took his
[47:06]ring off his right hand and put it on his left hand
[47:08]so people used to wear the wear the ring on the left
[47:09]hand but we were known as the to wear the ring on
[47:12]the right hand imam al hasqiri says take it off your right
[47:15]hand and put it on your left hand that was the extent
[47:17]of the taqiyah at the time and so you find imam al
[47:19]hadi grows up in this very difficult environment of the hatred of
[47:22]the abbasid caliph not just that he goes further who was the
[47:28]caliph for the predominant life of imam al hadi he had a
[47:31]strong hatred for al muhammad's sister the narration say 43 times he
[47:36]tried to destroy in the shine of imam al hussain you imagine
[47:46]a leader trying to destroy and raise the shrine of imam al
[47:49]hasan in any remembrance any semblance of the grave he did not
[47:53]want people going there the say he started doing this because one
[47:56]of his maidservants went away in sha'ban he asked for this maidservant
[48:01]to come to him and they told him he she's away she's
[48:03]gone on a pilgrimage because whether is she going in sha'ban normally
[48:07]you go in why is she going in sha'ban so when she
[48:12]returned he said to her where did you go in the month
[48:15]of sha'ban you don't do hajj in sha'ban she said i went
[48:18]to the the grave of imam al hussain and people flocked to
[48:22]him in sha'ban because it's his birth anniversary he couldn't stand that
[48:25]his own maidservant went to imam al hussein so 43 times he
[48:29]tried to destroy the grave a number of times he tried to
[48:32]flood the grave as well and the ratio said that's why sometimes
[48:34]you can see or at that time there was a water flowing
[48:37]around the shrine of imam al hussein because that water would not
[48:41]flood the grave it would just go around the vicinity and so
[48:44]you found this was the hateful environment in which imam al hadi
[48:47]was growing up on top of this imam al hadi could not
[48:51]grow up with his father now his father imam al jawad as
[48:53]many of you know pastor or was martyred at the age of
[48:56]five so imam al hadi had very few years with his father's
[49:00]kind of security above him with his father's kind of training above
[49:05]him so from a very young age he had to stay without
[49:07]his father because very shortly his father was also imprisoned in the
[49:11]prisons of iraq and where he eventually eventually passed away say imam
[49:16]al hadi grew up in a very difficult environment but you see
[49:19]from a very early age he showed his the narration say because
[49:23]he was without his father he tried to give him a teacher
[49:28]so he sent a teacher to teach imam al hadi in medina
[49:31]so imam al hadi was being well well the teacher was going
[49:34]to imam al hadi after some time comes to this teacher and
[49:37]says how's your lessons going with that young boy and the way
[49:41]he said young boy was kinda like you know that you know
[49:43]that boy so in kind of a rude fashion the teacher responds
[49:48]how dare you call him a boy whenever we start a class
[49:51]we normally recite quran very quickly i realized this quran is better
[49:55]than mine so i started asking him to recite the quran as
[49:59]time went on i decided to ask him to recite the larger
[50:02]surahs of the quran but i was amazed that whichever part of
[50:06]the quran i asked him to recite he recited it better than
[50:09]i could recite it and he knew it from memory then i
[50:12]started asking him you know this quran tell me about this verse
[50:15]he started telling me about the occasion of the revelation and the
[50:18]of that verse omar not ask me about that boy that is
[50:22]my sheikh and i go to him for lessons now the teacher
[50:26]who was commissioned to teach imam al hadi comes out saying imam
[50:29]al hadi is my teacher at the age of about six years
[50:32]old so could see that imam al hadi had great had great
[50:36]knowledge from a young age as we expect of an imam of
[50:39]ahlul bayt you go a step further and you see that imam
[50:42]al hadi was spreading knowledge in the lands now it was a
[50:45]very difficult period you can imagine the hatred towards al muhammad and
[50:49]as i said the abbasids used to show off as people of
[50:52]knowledge or people who respected knowledge so they used to commission scholars
[50:56]to to translate to greek books greek philosophy etcetera and to spread
[51:01]this in the islamic lands now while this might sound like a
[51:04]good thing what they were actually doing was they were trying to
[51:06]drown out the teachings of al muhammad they wanted that greek philosophy
[51:10]comes in this different opinion comes in then in the land you
[51:13]have a you know a multitude of opinions that way no one
[51:17]knows the true islam you give them different opinions different opinions different
[51:22]opinions because then no one knows the true islam and so imam
[51:26]al hadi had to contend with this as well because many people
[51:29]started having different opinions and we know that this started very early
[51:32]in islamic history how did imam al hadi counter this there's a
[51:35]very interesting way he counted this let me give you an example
[51:39]one of the letters that was written to imam al hadi imam
[51:49]one of the letters they asked him about free will and predetermination
[51:54]they said that in the land right now us as muslims we
[51:57]have a multitude of opinions some are saying it is full fatalism
[52:01]it is full predetermination there is no free will that everything is
[52:04]preordained by allah and others are saying that no we have full
[52:08]free will we are confused so we would like to come to
[52:11]you oh you to explain the matter to us imam al hadi
[52:16]gets this letter but his answer is interesting he could just answer
[52:21]and answer the question but he doesn't do that he answers eventually
[52:24]he gives you the the classic answer we say he says the
[52:26]answer comes as it is neither pre full predetermination or full free
[52:30]will the answer is in the middle he explains further that it
[52:33]cannot be full predetermination because then it would be unfair for allah
[52:37]to punish us for that which we do because he made us
[52:40]do it and it would be it would be unjust for allah
[52:42]to reward us for any good because we've done no good he
[52:45]did it so it would not make sense for allah to predetermine
[52:48]everything then the judgment is a joke at the same time it
[52:51]cannot be full free will because that is allah surrendering his power
[52:55]and allah has complete power over us so allah does not leave
[52:58]us to ourselves and give us power the power is in the
[53:01]hands of allah and we are under his domain so it is
[53:04]neither full free will nor full predetermination it is but before explaining
[53:09]this he says something interesting he says i have understood the matter
[53:13]that you've said to me but before i answer allow me to
[53:16]introduce how i'm going to answer this question he said he said
[53:29]he famously has said that the ummah will never have upon that
[53:34]which is they will never have on that which is astray or
[53:38]wrong so he said that rasulullah was truthful when he said the
[53:42]will have on will never have on something which is completely astray
[53:47]he said the agree to the verification of the holy quran that
[53:51]the quran was revealed and it is verified the quran is the
[53:54]true word of allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and this is disputed by
[53:57]no sect in islam and then he said if any sect does
[54:00]dispute this they are known to be outside of the fold of
[54:03]islam because islam has ijma on the verification of the holy quran
[54:08]then he said however after the quran the ummah has an ijmaq
[54:12]on the hadith of rasulullah where he says i leave behind two
[54:16]weighty things the quran and the they will never dip they will
[54:21]never they will never depart from each other until they meet me
[54:24]at the of kawthar the ummah had ijima upon this they agreed
[54:29]upon this further the ummah agreed on the hadith al manzila where
[54:34]rasulullah says is me is to accept that there is no after
[54:46]me he says after the ummah has ijma on this hadith or
[54:50]these hadiths they should recognize that after the quran the source of
[54:54]their knowledge is the allah muhammad and and then he says had
[55:05]they recognized this you would not have to come to me with
[55:08]this question today because everyone would recognize where the source of knowledge
[55:11]comes from so he started to explain the of al muhammad another
[55:17]example the gets one of his workers ibn sikhid now ibn sikhid
[55:22]was a companion of the imam who was working in the government
[55:25]you see quite a few of these historically famously at the time
[55:28]of imam al riddha there was ali ibn yaqtin so ibn saqid
[55:31]was working for the government but he was a companion he comes
[55:35]to ibn saqid and he says i want to try and bring
[55:37]imam al hadi down so ask him a difficult question ibn saqid
[55:42]comes to imam al hadi and he asks him he says can
[55:47]you explain why different prophets had different miracles why could they not
[55:50]come with the same miracle why was musa sent with magic and
[55:54]isa alaihi salam sent with medicine and rasulullah muhammad he was sent
[56:06]with the quran why were they sent to different miracles imam al
[56:09]hadi answers and he gives the answer that you'd expect to teach
[56:12]to our children he says that what was predominantly famous at the
[56:16]time of nabi musa is that they were experts in magic there
[56:20]were many magicians around who were known to be experts and used
[56:23]by the pharaohs of the time so allah sent nabi musa with
[56:26]something which could destroy the magic of the time nabi musa wasn't
[56:29]given magic he was given a miracle from allah but it was
[56:32]there to show them the the weakness of their magic then at
[56:37]the time of they were experts in medicine so allah said to
[56:41]bring the dead back to life and cure the leper to show
[56:43]them the weakness of their medicine compared to allah power and at
[56:48]the time of the arabs were known for their eloquence since that
[56:53]they used to compete when it comes to their poetry as it's
[56:56]famously known they used to put seven golden oaths on the kaaba
[56:59]these were the seven best poems from around arabia at the time
[57:03]they ripped it apart when they heard surah al khosar allahu akbar
[57:08]when they heard the smallest surah of the quran they ripped all
[57:11]seven golden oats recognizing the magnificence of the quran but imam al
[57:16]haji didn't stop there he said at the time of rasulullah they
[57:20]were masters in eloquence so allah sent them a quran but he
[57:24]continues our textbooks don't normally continue imam al hadi continues he said
[57:28]the arabs at the time were also experts and the best at
[57:31]warfare so allah sent with rasulullah his successor ali ibn abi talib
[57:37]and his dul fiqar the arabs who at the time used to
[57:40]say it is a cowardice to run away from the battlefield was
[57:58]given two miracles the quran and amir al mumineen imam al hadi
[58:02]could have stopped there he could have said the standard answer but
[58:05]no he carried on another example yahya ibn aqsam who's the famous
[58:10]judge that was told to question imam al jawad and imam al
[58:13]jawad bamboozled him at fiqh yahya ibn aqsam was asked to go
[58:17]to imam al hadi and try to ask some questions to the
[58:19]shiaqa he went to the brother of imam al hadi musa the
[58:24]son of imam al jawad and he asked many questions for example
[58:28]he asked about sulaiman and the holy quran he said sulaiman was
[58:32]asking someone to bring the throne of bilqis he said was sulaiman
[58:36]weak why did he ask someone to bring the throne of bilqis
[58:39]for him then he asked a few other questions musa says let
[58:45]me go to my brother ali al hadi perhaps he'll have the
[58:47]answer for you so he comes to imam al hadi and he
[58:50]says oh imam may my may my life be sacrificed for you
[58:54]this come with these questions can you answer them for me imam
[58:59]ali alhadi said can you answer them musa said no i cannot
[59:03]imam ali alhadi said let me answer them for you he said
[59:06]number one sulaima did not need someone to bring the throne of
[59:10]for her for him that's why allah in the quran when he
[59:14]says that the person brought it asif ibn barqiya brought it he
[59:17]says but the one who had part of the knowledge of the
[59:22]book brought it for him so imam al hadi says look at
[59:25]the quran and the way it speaks it's saying had some of
[59:29]the knowledge of sulaiman and so sulaiman allowed him to bring the
[59:33]throne so that he could show to everyone who his successor would
[59:37]be it was not that he needed someone to bring it for
[59:39]him but he wanted to show to the people the jinn and
[59:42]the people at the time who his true successor was they then
[59:45]asked about yusuf and yaqub and why yaqub bowed down before yusuf
[59:50]and imam alhadi said this is like the bowing of the angels
[59:53]before adam it is a bowing of obedience to allah not obedience
[59:56]towards yusuf alaihi salaam so it is not to yusuf it is
[60:00]to allah just like the angels bowed down to adam it is
[60:04]bowing down to up out of obedience to allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
[60:08]then there comes this question about the verse i recited at the
[60:11]start surah 31 verse 27 he asks about this verse he says
[60:25]the the verse says and if all of the trees were to
[60:28]be made as pens or ink oh sorry as pens and all
[60:31]of the seas were to be added to them seven seas and
[60:33]you were to make them as ink the of allah will never
[60:37]complete will never finish asks what is this kalimat of allah that
[60:43]will never finish because as far as we know we can see
[60:46]the kalimat of allah we can see the words of allah what
[60:49]is the words of allah in this verse and what are these
[60:51]seven c's that are mentioned when you go to the tafsir of
[60:55]this verse it's very beautiful you know even we might ask this
[60:58]question what does allah mean by his one opinion is that the
[61:02]kalimat referred to here is not just in in terms of the
[61:05]words of allah written down but rather kalimat refers to that which
[61:09]you used to convey a message so some mufasireen come and say
[61:14]that kalimat refers to all of the signs of allah in this
[61:17]universe so if you were to use ink and to try to
[61:20]enumerate all of the creations of allah which he uses to prove
[61:23]his existence to us you would never be able to prove it
[61:28]other people say no of allah refers to the power of allah
[61:32]subhanahu wa ta'ala because it is his his power that allows him
[61:38]to create all of these things and so if you were to
[61:40]get all of these things as ink and pens and you were
[61:43]to try to write and enumerate the power of allah you will
[61:47]never be able to enumerate the power of allah others say no
[61:50]in the quran allah subhanahu wa ta'ala he says allah sent an
[62:03]angel to maryam to tell her allah gives you glad tidings of
[62:07]a kalima from himself whose name is meaning kalima refers to the
[62:15]grand creations of allah who spread the message of allah it is
[62:19]on this interpretation imam al hadi gives to him imam al hadi
[62:23]says he named seven seas and he says but the of allah
[62:28]in this verse refers to the of muhammad and al muhammad who
[62:32]if you were to get all the trees on this earth and
[62:34]all the seas as ink you will never be able to write
[62:36]out the of muhammad and al muhammad so you found whenever imam
[62:48]alhadi was asked a question the first thing he would do is
[62:52]point to the of muhammad and al muhammad point back to the
[62:56]of muhammad and al muhammad because had the ommanuts gone away from
[63:00]muhammad and al muhammad there would have been no division there would
[63:04]have been no plethora of opinions rather they would have been united
[63:07]upon one path as as she says in that our will our
[63:20]imam was made to unite the people and our was made to
[63:25]organize the people our imamah is what unites the people the unite
[63:30]the people today we see that this unity is not always there
[63:35]but had we always stayed stayed steadfast upon the knowledge muhammad and
[63:40]al muhammad we would never have gone astray now in this day
[63:44]and age i say this sometimes you find and you'll find from
[63:48]some corners some people will say we do too much you know
[63:53]we we concentrate too much of the muhammad and al muhammad here
[63:58]imam al hadi is giving us a very important message that we
[64:01]should never overlook undermine the importance of remembering the muhammad and al
[64:06]muhammad but he is also enumerating something else that there is a
[64:11]not like aim to that reason why people you know they question
[64:16]is because they say you guys come and you do you make
[64:19]these people seem like superheroes you know but you don't change nothing
[64:23]comes about no change comes about in you and this is the
[64:26]key message when we do the of muhammad and al muhammad this
[64:30]is meant to change the way we follow them you see if
[64:34]you go through history you'll see the imams of ahlul bayt they
[64:37]always come back to the of muhammad al muhammad imam asajjad had
[64:40]one chance to talk in the of yazid what did he do
[64:45]as for those of you who know me you know me if
[64:47]you don't know me let me let me you of my ancestry
[64:51]i am the son of zamzam and safa i am the son
[64:59]of makkah imina i am the son of the best one to
[65:01]do i'm the son the best one to do hajj i'm the
[65:03]son of the one who went to the skies on the barak
[65:06]i am the son of the one who fought in the battles
[65:08]of of badr al hunayn al khaybar he reminds them of the
[65:12]fadha and why because when you remember these fadha they bind you
[65:15]to al muhammad's sister you want to be like them not just
[65:20]that you hear the you get happy you go home and that's
[65:22]it change you know done service done no we remember these so
[65:28]that we start to follow them much stronger we remember these so
[65:31]that we go home and we feel like reading their hadith you
[65:35]know even here there's a beautiful hadith i once read in al
[65:37]kafi i believe it was imam asad it's it's a very interesting
[65:47]tradition the companion was speaking to the imam and he wanted to
[65:51]he he said that you know i went to this other teacher
[65:53]or he was speaking to the imam about these other teachers that
[65:56]have come out as you know the time of imam asadaq these
[65:58]other schools of fiqh also developed so the imam says can i
[66:03]ask you a question the companion says yes he says oh companion
[66:07]when you go to the sea when you go to a river
[66:10]to drink water and you want to quench your thirst do you
[66:13]take water from the river or do you go and lick the
[66:17]rocks that have been become wet from the river the companion said
[66:21]why would you wanna lick the rocks when we can take water
[66:23]from the river the imam says then why do people neglect the
[66:27]rivers of knowledge and go towards and lick the rocks of knowledge
[66:32]when we are the ones who disseminated knowledge to those teachers why
[66:35]are they licking those rocks when they could drink the water of
[66:38]sea of knowledge that is al muhammad al muhammad are the sea
[66:42]of knowledge anything else are those rocks that just take some of
[66:45]that water inside the source of knowledge is al muhammad and this
[66:49]is what imam al hadi that's what he further teaches in his
[67:01]if you've never heard go home tonight put it on youtube and
[67:05]just read the translations yes it's a bit long but you spent
[67:08]longer on social media so it's fine you can watch the twenty
[67:11]minutes of this video twenty minutes you know you have these beautiful
[67:14]with that yesterday the english translation comes up go and read it
[67:18]go and read the of al muhammad taught by imam al hadi
[67:20]and those who are the source of allah's mercy on this earth
[67:32]those are the source of allah's knowledge upon this earth when you
[67:35]read these it's meant to bind you to al muhammad in such
[67:38]a way that you want to be ex you only want to
[67:40]be like al muhammad you know i think on your notice board
[67:43]there was a nice little poster we serve al muhammad by emulation
[67:51]not adulation we don't just admire al muhammad we emulate al muhammad
[67:56]and that is the key the is there to change us and
[68:01]imam al hadi showing people the by making people admire the ahlul
[68:05]bayt he wanted them to then come and emulate the ahlul bayt
[68:09]and that is the key that we can take from imam al
[68:11]hadi remind ourselves of the of muhammad and al muhammad and go
[68:15]home and try to start emulating them read their sayings you know
[68:18]even when you read their sayings and you read their hadith i
[68:21]know you might find or feel like it's a arduous exercise but
[68:24]you know there's some different form of mercy in the words of
[68:27]al muhammad when they talk there's a softness in there that touches
[68:31]the heart when they talk there is something that is like that
[68:35]just opens the heart it is just a favor that is given
[68:39]to al muhammad that everything that comes from them is light i
[68:51]said by imam al hadi this is so go home and you
[68:55]know there's apps nowadays there's an app on app store and play
[68:58]store called where you can get many of the hadith books in
[69:02]english all in english full go and read some of the hadiths
[69:06]of ahul bayt and they're they're all contented so they're they're not
[69:09]just written there and all you know bundle into one you have
[69:12]chapters chapters on tawhid chapters on how allah people who ask about
[69:17]how allah exists chapters on how people who ask where allah exists
[69:21]chapters on the importance of imam on the importance of creation chapters
[69:26]on you know you have chapters there you can just click on
[69:28]a chapter and read go home and read about al muhammad this
[69:31]was one of the biggest wasiyahs that was given to us by
[69:35]imam al hadi you know i mentioned how tried to raise down
[69:47]the shrine of imam al hussain another thing that imam al hadi
[69:50]taught us was the importance of the of imam al hussain once
[69:54]imam al hadi was ill and he goes to his companion abu
[69:57]hisham and he gives him some money and he says can you
[70:00]go and pay one of our companions to go to the shrine
[70:03]of imam al hussain and to pray for me so abu hashem
[70:07]not thinking too much kind of accepts it he goes outside he
[70:10]finds another companion ali ibn bilal and he says oh ali imam
[70:13]al hadi has given me this money he says can you go
[70:16]to the shrine of imam al hussain and pray because he is
[70:18]ill ali ibn bilal says wait wait wait he is also an
[70:23]imam of ahlul bayt he is also a hujjah of allah upon
[70:26]the earth why is he asking us to go to imam al
[70:29]hussein to pray for him he is a hujjah of allah allah
[70:33]hashem says it's a fair question let me go back and ask
[70:36]him he comes back to imam al hadi he says has asked
[70:42]that you are also a of allah like imam al hussain why
[70:45]have you asked us to go to imam al hussain to pray
[70:47]for you imam al hadi says oh abu hashim go to ali
[70:51]and tell him to go and tell him that rasulullah walked around
[70:55]the kaaba and kissed hajr al aswad even though he is much
[70:58]greater than hajr al aswad but there are places on this earth
[71:01]that are loved by allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and where du'as are
[71:05]accepted one of them is the kaaba and one of them is
[71:08]the shrine of abi adullah al hussain salaahu ta'ala as we we
[71:19]say in peace be upon the one who there is shifa in
[71:33]his torbah peace be upon the one who du'aza accepted under his
[71:37]dome peace be upon the one who is resting in imam al
[71:41]hussain so you found imam al hadi was strengthening this concept of
[71:45]because in a a era of confusion where he could not openly
[71:50]just go out and teach the best he could do was teach
[71:54]them the source of knowledge i can't give you the knowledge myself
[71:57]because i'm you know under constant harassment you know the narration says
[72:02]as life went on they started to doubt imam al hadi more
[72:05]such that weekly would send the people to the house of imam
[72:10]al hadi to knock on his door and ransack his house to
[72:13]check whether he has any weapons to attack the caliph because they
[72:17]were doubting him or there were stories coming to him now you
[72:20]imagine not just imam al hadi in his house is being ransacked
[72:23]he's got kids he's got his wife and sometimes they would come
[72:27]in the middle of the night and they'd knock on the door
[72:28]they'd break in and they'd say we just wanna see you know
[72:31]'ve been told that you're conspiring against us that was the harassment
[72:34]imam alhadi had regularly so it wasn't easy for him to teach
[72:38]but what he did was he taught us the source of knowledge
[72:41]we have the source of knowledge we've forgotten we have the source
[72:45]of we've forgotten go and read the narrations of ahlul bayt and
[72:49]see how it changes your life this is what imam al hadi
[72:51]was trying to teach us and so imam al hadi as life
[72:55]went on and life got more difficult you found the the caliph
[72:58]of the time was trying to make things more and more difficult
[73:00]for imam al hadi and the narrations say that after confining him
[73:05]in samarrah him and his son imam al asghari that mu'tam al
[73:10]abbasi after passed khaliq away mu'tam of the time came and he
[73:15]he was fed up he wanted to get rid of imam al
[73:18]hadi too many people were becoming softer to the path too many
[73:21]people were softening towards the so the narrations say he got one
[73:25]of the strongest poisons he could find and he gave it to
[73:27]imam al hadi you know amir al mutmanin was struck by a
[73:30]sword of poison but he passed away two days later imam al
[73:34]hadi narration say within two hours the poison was affecting him such
[73:38]that he was in his lost moments narration say he was on
[73:41]his deathbed with the poison affecting his body and he was struggling
[73:45]to breathe he was panting and imam al asghari was weeping very
[73:49]profusely at this time the narrations do not go into much detail
[73:53]but they say that imam al hadi was starting to his body
[73:57]was changing color he was struggling to breathe before he passed away
[74:00]very shortly after the poison was administered to him the narrations say
[74:03]after he passed away imam al asghari was seen to rip the
[74:06]collar of his shirt off in grief they will come to imam
[74:09]al asghari and say why have you ripped your your collar in
[74:13]grief he would say will be on to you when musa alaihi
[74:16]salaam lost haroon he also ripped his collar out of the grief
[74:20]of losing losing his brother i lost my father so i i
[74:24]ripped off my collar oh imam al asghari you lost your father
[74:29]in a difficult circumstance and you ripped off your collar but come
[74:32]towards karbala zainab al kubra didn't see her brother poisoned in front
[74:37]of her eyes he saw she saw imam al hussein being sat
[74:41]on by shimr ibn al jashan she saw imam al hussein's neck
[74:46]being separated from his body and what can she do she didn't
[74:50]even get the chance to rip off her collar before she could
[74:54]breathe they would come and they would start to snatch the hijab
[74:57]from her head and whip the woman folk they would come and
[75:00]set fire to the tents that they'd running from left to right
[75:04]oh imam alaskar today you are ripping off your color come towards
[75:08]kufa and sham and see the chain that is around the neck
[75:11]of imam al sajjad that he wants to rip off his neck
[75:14]so as that the narration say when imam al sajjad comes back
[75:18]to is is on his way towards kufa one of the companions
[75:22]comes to him and says oh imam i'm sorry i cannot help
[75:24]you i'm too old but if you ask me for a favor
[75:27]perhaps i can do a favor for you imam al sajjad says
[75:30]can you get me some cloth the man says okay the companion
[75:34]comes back he gives him the cloth he says oh imam why
[75:36]did you just ask for a cloth the imam takes the cloth
[75:39]he puts it upon neck and he says oh my companion this
[75:44]chain has been breaking the bone of my neck since karbala it
[75:49]has been paining me since then oh imam alaskir you ripped off
[75:53]your collar when you saw your father pass away but comes towards
[75:57]karbala kufa and sham and see the fate of those who had
[76:01]to go through those things imam al hadi in this dunya and
[76:19]in the hereafter we pray to allah for all of those who
[76:22]are suffering around the world
