[30:35]of three loud salaat Muhammad muham alhamdulillah alhamd [Music] [Music] [Music] muh

[32:24][Music] M usually on a night like today where we celebrate the

[32:50]two occasions of is and the M the verses of the Quran

[32:58]which would usually be recited would be the ones which would be

[33:01]related to the occasion especially the ones from Surah number 15 Surah

[33:05]bani is with relevant to the event of and the words from

[33:15]the Quran which would be recited with relevant to the occasion of

[33:19]or would be the first vers is revealed in the to the

[33:23]prophet in the Quran you may be wondering how come I have

[33:29]chosen a verse which is very different from these two commonly recited

[33:35]verses as such The Words which we have been blessed to recite

[33:41]today is from Surah jul huat Surah number 49 Ayah number 13

[33:44]where Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala when he talks about the creation to

[33:47]the whole of humanity telling them that he has made them from

[33:51]the pair the male and the female made them into tribes and

[33:54]Nations and then the Ayah comes which we going to dwell today

[33:58]for these two occasion is where Allah subhah waala says know that

[34:05]oh people it is the address to the whole of the humanity

[34:09]at the commence of the Ayah that the most noble ones of

[34:13]you is the one who is the one who is most God

[34:19]weary most God awareness the one who is most close to Allah

[34:22]subhana tala from amongst you is the one who is the one

[34:26]more careful in guarding his duty towards Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala so

[34:31]to be able to give you the reason why I have selected

[34:34]this Ayah with regards to the celebration of these two events of

[34:39]is and is first to give you a context and the context

[34:46]is that we as human beings we have this innate nature in

[34:49]us that we would like to be honored we all would like

[34:54]to be looked in with Prestige with esteem to be respected m

[34:58]isn't it now man or that honor or Prestige does not come

[35:03]like that there is to be something for which a person has

[35:07]that uh characteristic or has that value for which he's been given

[35:13]that man for which he's been given that honor and nobility to

[35:16]be considered as he's a noble person in that Community Society so

[35:20]we will see for example during the times of the person who

[35:27]would be put in his daughter the infant female what you say

[35:31]female infanticide to death burying her alive in the community that person

[35:38]would be given that honor he would be considered as Brave the

[35:43]person who would win in the gambling in those times was considered

[35:46]to be one who is very honorable the person for example who

[35:53]had large stock of camels or big stock of sheep and goats

[35:56]as such or large number of her of women as such people

[36:01]who are considered to be prestigious in society as a result of

[36:04]these type of things as such we come down the line today

[36:08]we find that we in our time today e people would be

[36:11]honored for example with the number of alphabetical letters they have after

[36:15]names all right XY z u v y w p HD and

[36:22]so on is honored because as a result of the university and

[36:24]the research which he has done or you'll find a person is

[36:30]being honored with the most electronic fleshy highflying voming rooming car which

[36:35]has got over there and people look at him he give him

[36:37]that man or a person is honored for example with the profession

[36:43]and occupation which he has so all these different type of things

[36:48]or possessions or status in society are such that a person is

[36:51]actually that n is not respected for what he is but that

[36:58]person is been respected for what what he has so the day

[37:03]for example that status of the Mansion or that car or that

[37:07]wealth is separated from that person you find that people would no

[37:11]longer do the very same Salam going down in front of him

[37:15]the way yesterday when we did to him when he had that

[37:16]cars and what do you say bank checks and with him as

[37:20]such today everybody is finding somewhere else to go forward to do

[37:23]their Salam and such so this shows that despite us having that

[37:26]love and innate nature for respect and honor as such but the

[37:31]standards or the possessions or achievements are things which are limited transient

[37:37]only physical as such but there is one honor which is one

[37:39]which is given in this world and it continues all the way

[37:44]to the and that honor is such that it is not in

[37:46]any way dependent upon human beings it is an honor which is

[37:51]given to us by none other than our beloved Creator Allah subhanahu

[37:54]wa ta'ala and such that when Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala gives gives

[37:58]us that honor as a result of that honor I or you

[38:02]will not need to look out for people to honor and respect

[38:05]us rather it is Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala who will make the

[38:10]others to goow down and honor that person and what is that

[38:13]honor that honor is that that person is one who is the

[38:21]one who is most go most God conscious most aware most guarding

[38:27]of his duty towards Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and this is as

[38:32]a result I have linked it to the event of is and

[38:38]having given you this context now the reason why I have linked

[38:44]it up to that is because these two events is and had

[38:49]a very significant impact or effect not only on the life of

[38:55]our beloved Prophet Muhammad Mustafa Sall alai wasallam but these impacts also

[39:06]but these two events also have an impact for us so that

[39:10]it has made us become honorable now how is it made us

[39:13]honorable that we will be able to understand when we look at

[39:17]these two events inshallah Muhammad Ali Muhammad so tonight we are celebrating

[39:26]the first event which is isra in the previous years we have

[39:31]discussed for example that the isra or which we commonly knows as

[39:40]the Ascension is not one which is limited to only one journey

[39:43]of Ascension of the Prophet physical Ascension of the Prophet both in

[39:47]body and spirit and the r towards the highest level of the

[39:50]heavens is not limited to only one Journey but according to Allah

[39:57]maximum of 120 Journeys have been reported number one in previous majalis

[40:00]we have discussed another point which is also discussed in previous majal

[40:04]is that if you look at all the books of the all

[40:10]the books of Hadith they do not in any way zero in

[40:11]on the 27th date of rajab is the day for isra or

[40:18]the date for the occurrence of isra rather there is more of

[40:25]references towards isra taking place in the month of Ramadan so with

[40:29]this background as such today we'll just like to talk about little

[40:33]bit with the theme which you talked about honor the impact which

[40:37]gives to us for reminding ourselves isra basically is in Arabic for

[40:41]a night journey and Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in Surah Al isra

[40:45]Surah number 17 Ayah number one talks about the event for Lake

[40:50]of time we'll not go into the Ayah as such but we'll

[40:52]just very briefly remind ourselves as to what that event is that

[40:59]on that night Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala sent the angel jibrael together

[41:04]with israfil and Mika and they had a steed they had what

[41:12]you would say as uh an animal or we could say as

[41:15]a mount for riding which was dazzling in appearance and whose speed

[41:19]was very fast more than the liting is thunder and that is

[41:25]why it is called bak and Allah subhah conveys a message to

[41:30]the prophet of the angel jbra that you've been invited to mount

[41:33]on this Ste from Haram Masid Haram in Makkah all the way

[41:39]to Masid AA in present day Jerusalem where we have the Masjid

[41:46]AA this was the horizontal Journey which took place and thereafter there

[41:51]is the is the Ascension where Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala gives that

[41:57]MOA to the prophet that that together on that mount on that

[42:01]state defying all the natural scientific laws of gravity and speed goes

[42:07]very far away from the existing present of the cosmos as such

[42:12]and this is where Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has given honor to

[42:18]the prophet and amongst those honors to the prophet Allah subhanahu waala

[42:22]enables our beloved Prophet to see the previous prophets and at the

[42:26]same time he sees some wonderful wondrous centers of heaven and at

[42:32]the same time he he's able to see a peip into the

[42:40]horrible terrible situation of the centers of Hell at that time so

[42:46]in that journey of is we find that our beloved Prophet Muhammad

[42:53]Mustafa s alai wasam [Music] narrates that when he reached the Veals

[43:05]this is in the farther areas of the domain of Jenna the

[43:12]Angel jibrael takes him and brings him into a station of Jenna

[43:15]and he sees in that jna that there is a tree of

[43:21]light whose roots are being tended by two angels and these Angels

[43:28]at the same time are having plenty of garments made of the

[43:33]precious cloth and plenty of ornaments which they are carefully folding and

[43:38]placing them beneath the tree over there so the Beloved Prophet says

[43:43]I asked my beloved jibrail to whom does this tree belong and

[43:49]he was told that this tree is for your brother Al muham

[44:01]and then jibrael tells him that these two angels whom you see

[44:08]preparing these garments and preparing these clothes will continue to prepare all

[44:12]these piles of clothes and garments till the day of judgment for

[44:20]your brother alib bin ABI Talib so here we can see that

[44:23]m in his own lifetime what a simple decent lifestyle he was

[44:33]living into this world during those few years when he took over

[44:39]the position of the ruler of the Commonwealth of Islam when he

[44:46]had the keys of the treasury of B Mal with him we

[44:49]find that he says that the value of my shoe he was

[44:55]repairing a shoe the soul of of the shoe the value of

[45:00]my Val of the the value of this this position is not

[45:05]even worth the value of the soul of my shoe over here

[45:08]that just gives you an indication of the way he was detached

[45:13]from the worldly alud from the worldly ornaments from the worldly riches

[45:18]and the garments as such and he was leading the umah and

[45:24]taking care of that he would say that he would lead a

[45:26]life such that there would be no poverty upon the single man

[45:30]as such I'm prasing his statements but if you look in he's

[45:33]talking about this thing so when we talk about M this is

[45:38]what our beloved Prophet saw with all this Treasure of the tree

[45:40]of light and all these ornaments and pressings be made for him

[45:45]in the depths of my heart and I'm sure you will all

[45:51]agree that we would like to be of those to receive that

[45:58]gift of those clothes and ornaments from wouldn't you and I like

[46:03]to be honored with those type of clothes with those type of

[46:06]ornaments being placed and ironed in the Jenna by the Angels at

[46:09]that so the prophet was being shown the honor because we already

[46:17]know Amir Al would be there for his sh and the Shia

[46:19]are the ones who will be successful so for you and I

[46:24]this is where we can link up that honor to be able

[46:28]to dress dress and fit rightly in that dress and fit rightly

[46:31]in that ornament we need to have that type of a body

[46:36]we need to have that type of a size of the body

[46:39]not the body which is made of eating those proteins and milkshake

[46:42]and going to the gyms and having those ripping sleeves as such

[46:48]but the body which is ripped off with the tawa of Allah

[46:52]subhanal when he says I advise myself and share this advice with

[46:59]you rap off your NPS with the honor of tawa so that

[47:06]this incident of M reminds us that you would like to be

[47:12]honorable get that honor of tawa in this world and the honor

[47:15]of ta in the muhami muhamad the second incident which our Prophet

[47:25]saw in the Journey of M over there is where he goes

[47:31]to an area again in Jah and he sees that there are

[47:34]palaces being built and the designs of these palaces are Beyond human

[47:40]imagination the walls are being made of the bricks not of mud

[47:49]and Clay but bricks made of gold and silver and these bricks

[47:53]are being joined by mortar which is not cement but the mortar

[47:59]is made from musk and you know the value of pure musk

[48:06]no fake material in Jenna over there no mixed material in Jenna

[48:09]over there so you can think of that gold and the silver

[48:14]bricks and the motar in joining These Bricks to make the pallets

[48:17]is made from musk and the pebbles in this pallets in the

[48:21]gardens are from the diamonds and the rubies and the sand is

[48:28]made from saffron the pure saffron not the mixed saffron the prophet

[48:34]was observing this this is something which is beyond human imagination Subhan

[48:38]Allah the Angels were busy working on the construction but there came

[48:43]some time when the engine stopped working and I'm sure whenever we

[48:48]visit a site with this construction taking place we'll be surprised what

[48:51]has happened is it lunchtime what has happened is it the workmen

[48:55]have got tired they've gone to rest so the angel jibrael tells

[49:05]the prophet that these angels have stopped working because the supplies have

[49:10]paused in arriving over here and he asked Angel jbel what is

[49:17]the supplies required for this he said when the ab in the

[49:21]Earth recites the th when he recites Subhan Allah when he recites

[49:25]alhamdulillah when he recites when he recites these turn into the building

[49:33]materials and the angels continue the construction and after a little while

[49:36]the angel started continue with the construction Muhammad Muhammad simple Deeds of

[49:50]of Allah so much generosity of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and this

[49:57]shows a lesson that every deed which you and I perform this

[49:59]world over here is linked to the life in the yeara because

[50:04]there is another Hadith which says that when the prophet was narrating

[50:08]to the people about this thing Yool Allah so that means we

[50:12]will have plenty of trees because it's so easy you know Subhan

[50:15]alhamd and the prophet said be careful you are building all these

[50:23]trees and the gardens over there be careful of sending fire to

[50:25]burn these trees over there people asked Yol Allah how can that

[50:29]be possible fire burning those trees or burning those palaces over there

[50:33]and he was told whenever you perform these Deeds of bad Deeds

[50:40]they bur those palaces they burn those trees Deeds over there so

[50:43]just like the generosity of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala for each and

[50:47]every small deed which we do of good is linked to the

[50:51]life in the Hereafter to the honor which Allah subhana wa ta'ala

[50:55]is going to give us likewise we go to be careful of

[50:59]that and this is where the word comes indeed the most honorable

[51:06]one of you in sight of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is the

[51:10]one who is most God conscious is the one who is most

[51:14]God aware who is careful in guarding his duty towards Allah subhah

[51:19]wa ta'ala therefore M this is something which is Everlasting Perpetual Honor

[51:25]by just doing Simple of Allah subh tala the construction pose reminds

[51:30]us of it that if we are breathing and we are not

[51:34]sending those construction materials over there there's going to be slightly delay

[51:40]in the building of those palaces for us if You' like those

[51:46]constructions to be completed and increased in the Beauty and the Grandeur

[51:49]in the final life the year after a search don't in any

[51:55]way be neglectful don't be in FL whether it is in household

[51:59]cours whether it is walking whether it is driving young and old

[52:05]especially for our children at this very young age develop to them

[52:09]this habit and the greatest zor isuh muham this of Muhammad Muhammad

[54:11]subhah wa ta'ala the prophet has seen that that honor is from

[54:15]that dressing the honor is in the increase of theck of Allah

[54:19]subhanahu wa ta'ala muham muham so these are the different what do

[54:33]you say Visions or different scenarios with the prophet saw not necessarily

[54:37]in one journey of Mirage probably in different journey of Mirage what

[54:41]I've is just quoted to you what was in the Mage to

[54:43]conclude the another scenario which the prophet saw in the Journey of

[54:48]isra in one of the occasions of M we find that the

[54:55]prophet was directly presented with the command as a Divine ordinance by

[54:59]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala the obligation of Performing of Salah that performance

[55:06]of Salah which you and I perform was an obligation which was

[55:10]given to the prophet in the Journey of M later on when

[55:15]he came down onto the earth and the Ayah came about with

[55:17]regarding the establish of prayers he had already been given that ordinance

[55:20]at that time and the method or the prayers as such is

[55:24]done by the previous prophets as such so here we know that

[55:31]this responsibility of Salah is so powerful and impactful on the M

[55:36]that just like the holy prophet had gone on the Journey of

[55:41]is it was the honor he's the only human being the only

[55:48]Prophet from unle to 24,000 prophets he's the only Prophet being given

[55:54]that honor you and I as the followers of the umah of

[56:01]the Prophet have also been given one honor and that is this

[56:06]is the Hadith of the Prophet where he says know that Salah

[56:10]is is that Ascension of the m so the Salah itself is

[56:19]a status of being able to accumulate those Medals of Honor is

[56:23]just like the prophet was given that honor to go for Mar

[56:27]likewise you and I let us not in any way be of

[56:33]those people who take Salah to be very likely the way that

[56:40]journey of isra was a wonderous super amazing astounding Journey how can

[56:47]you and I make our Salah a so that it becomes a

[56:55]wonderful astounding super super abandon did five times in our day five

[57:04]prayers to become the of the then know that Salah is the

[57:21]pillar of religion and know that this Salah is the of the

[57:24]m so you can realize m if there is going to be

[57:30]any deficiency in the performance of Salah you and I will have

[57:33]used fake materials in building the pillars what happens if you want

[57:37]to build a huge skyscraper and use fake materials in building that

[57:42]pillar fall down the building will fall down so likewise M would

[57:49]you and I remember that any faults any shortcomings any deficiencies in

[57:56]the Salah is going to help have an impact on the honor

[57:59]which Allah has given know that the one most honorable is the

[58:06]one who is most God wey God conscious awareness that I am

[58:11]now in that M with Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and I need

[58:15]to be very very careful that there should be no deficiency no

[58:21]in any way what do you say uh Mi mixing of the

[58:23]thoughts of the ni and theas so that it is going to

[58:27]affect that honor and the reward from Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala we

[58:30]pray to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala that he enables us to be

[58:35]from the musin from those who are of the prayers and inshallah

[58:39]enables us that we gain our concentration for our prayers Muhammad Muhammad

[58:51]I trust inshallah with this first incident which we have talked about

[58:55]very briefly about three of the scenarios which the prophet saw on

[59:02]the Journey of isra which we as a community have chosen to

[59:05]celebrate on the 27th rajab now gives us a better idea the

[59:09]reason why I have selected that Ayah in for not only is

[59:17]has brought that honor to the life of the Prophet but has

[59:20]brought honor to you and I as human beings till the day

[59:25]of I hope inshallah this has made it much more clear why

[59:32]we have chosen the Ayah muham muhamad you will recall at the

[59:40]commence of the MJ mentioned to you that specifically it is the

[59:45]27th of Raj where it is more zeroing in on the event

[59:52]of or Arabic word to convey the message of something which is

[59:56]being inaugurated something something which is commencing so when we talk about

[60:03]the or the of what it is meant to convey is that

[60:06]the message that this is now the inauguration of the formal performance

[60:11]of the message of apostleship of the message of now the guidance

[60:18]to the humanity at large how did the M how did the

[60:21]ba take place history history tells us that our beloved prophet M

[60:30][Music] Musta especially when he was in the age of 30 years

[60:39]to 40 years in those 10 years he would climb the jab

[60:45]the Mount of no and there's a cave which is called the

[60:47]the cave of H where he would remain in meditation Solitude for

[60:54]a period of one day 3 days and a times 10 days

[60:59]and it times one 40 days and he would remain there nobody

[61:01]would be allowed to visit him except for and his brother so

[61:20]on the 40th year of amul fil now our beloved Prophet is

[61:25]40 years old in the year 16 Common Era on the night

[61:32]like today the 27th of rajab where the jibrael Aman The Trusted

[61:36]Archangel jibrael comes with the message from Allah subhah wa ta'ala to

[61:40]the prophet and he conveys to him the first five verses of

[61:44]the Quran which start off with which we talked about in the

[61:49]previous two years majal we'll not go into detail as such all

[61:56]right so this with the commencement of the revelation of the Quran

[62:01]is what is the formal inauguration what we would say that the

[62:09]grand moment of the commencement of the Divine commun communication of Allah

[62:13]subhah wa ta'ala to humanity the most kind the most merciful is

[62:20]now communicating through the Quran Kim's verses of the Quran through to

[62:29]the prophet whom he has dispatched as that he is now a

[62:33]mercy for the whole of the universe and this is where again

[62:36]we find that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has honored the all of

[62:42]humanity that it is not only the honor on the life of

[62:47]the Prophet where the angel jibrael comes to convey to him the

[62:50]Quran the commencement of the Quran but as a result of the

[62:53]Prophet conveying now or the prophet Prophet commencing his mission of prophethood

[62:59]in first speaking to the family members and thereafter to the community

[63:03]in the people at large what it means is that we have

[63:09]actually been honored you and I as human beings have been honored

[63:11]to we have been given that status that a communication Allah subhanahu

[63:16]wa ta'ala is talking to us we know that when we recite

[63:21]the Quran it is conversation with Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala communicating to

[63:25]us and this is an honor for us that is the reason

[63:30]why again I've chosen this night for us to reflect that this

[63:32]is the night when you and I have been honored with the

[63:36]conversation not only the prophet but with the conversation of Allah subhanahu

[63:41]wa ta'ala indeed the most honorable one is the one who is

[63:49]most Gody most God Consciousness most God aware how will we come

[63:56]to know about that from the re ctle of the Quran muham

[64:44]the role of the sun is that as a result of the

[64:48]rise of the sun whether it is behind the clouds or whether

[64:52]it is directly a such it is what gives life then the

[64:55]Imam said say that this is the night of the 27th rajab

[65:00]so we can link it and say that even better than the

[65:02]life which the son gives to all on which its race Falls

[65:08]it is the night of the 27th night of rajab what took

[65:13]place on the 27th of nth of rajab when the Revelation started

[65:15]commencing when the M when the holy prophet whenas Allah was commission

[65:20]was inaugurated as such so in other words you and I have

[65:27]actually been given Life by the receipt of the Quran then the

[65:30]Imam continues in the Hadith on this night perform the following Amal

[66:07]such but an honor which is all the way to the day

[66:11]of and we know that the honor which Allah subhah wa ta'ala

[66:15]gives to us you see in the Hadith which point out to

[66:17]us that as a result of that honor Allah will make the

[66:22]people honor you will make the people respect you Muhammad Muhammad [Music]

[66:31]in the Dua which we recited today you see that we are

[66:37]reciting especially the last line we are doing sh we are doing

[66:45]Thanksgiving to Allah subhah wa ta'ala the one who has given us

[66:50]that who has guide us to know him which is an honor

[66:55]and then and he's the one who has chosen us for his

[67:01]V to be the followers from the and he is the one

[67:17]who has enabled us who has given us the to for what

[67:21]for his obedience and what do we say Shan shukr thank you

[67:28]thank you so this is an honor for us that is why

[67:33]I link to that Ayah that it had an honor not only

[76:42]second significance of the the night of for us strengthen our in

[76:49]the night in the Imam of our time being able to pray

[77:04]and the Ya Allah we pray to you by the wasil of

[77:08]the night in which the revelation of the Quran commenced and by

[77:23]you grant them that far grant them that Y and Grant them

[77:26]they deas in their difficulties Ya Allah we pray to you for

[78:00]have undergone different types of procedures Ya Allah we pray to you

[78:06]grant them and we make Dua Ya Allah for the family members

[78:09]who have some of the persons ill in their homes give them

[78:14]the strength to be able to tend to the loved ones in

[78:17]these moments of illness Ya Allah we make Dua for those from

[78:24]our family members and from our friends and especially Ya Allah for

[78:30]the of for the who have passed away Ya Allah grant them

[78:35]Ya Allah we have different in our hearts Ya Allah just like

[78:41]you made this day an honor for the prophet and you have

[78:43]made it an honor for us to be able to recognize you

[78:48]and communicate to you Ya Allah we pray to you for the

[78:52]for the who are present over here Ya Allah and for those

[78:54]who are listening on line for all the M Ya Allah we

[78:58]pray to you we plead to you Ya Allah do not return

[79:03]these hands empty ended Ya Allah we pray to you to grant

[79:06]us response for our duas Ya Allah we pray for in Mar

[79:12]grant them good health long life and protect them from all calamities

[79:16]that they may continue to guide us in these challenging moments of

[79:22]and the moments of Ya Allah we make our final Dua and

[79:27]that is pleading with you for the and the far of our

[79:32]M enable us to be from his [Music] [Music] [Music] to one

[80:07]and all of you may Allah subhah wa ta'ala en us to
