[7:29]allah subhanallah subhanallah subhanallah subhanallah subhanallah subhanallah respected brothers and sisters i

[18:09]begin by congratulating you all on this auspicious occasion on eid al

[18:16]adha a day of eid that rasoolallah sallallahu alaihi wa'alehi took as

[18:22]eid and a day that the muslims all over the world celebrate

[18:26]as a day of eid my dear brothers and sisters this eid

[18:32]is a eid that teaches us to submit to allah subhanahu wa

[18:37]ta'ala it's eid a day that teaches us to sacrifice for the

[18:42]sake of our religion and this eid teaches us to follow in

[18:48]the footsteps of the prophets of allah especially prophet ibrahim who he

[18:56]built the kaaba and after allah showed him where through jibrael showed

[19:05]him where to build the kaaba and he built the kaaba then

[19:09]allah subhanahu wa ta'ala told ibrahim oh ibrahim invite people to be

[19:19]the guests of allah invite people to come and perform the hajj

[19:26]and visit the house of allah the sacred kaaba so ibrahim he

[19:33]went and he stood on the mountains of mecca and he called

[19:39]out oh people come and perform the hajj come and take your

[19:46]reward from allah subhanahu wa ta'ala be the honored guest of your

[19:51]lord that was before rasulullah that was before the religion of islam

[20:00]but millions of people and billions of people have answered the call

[20:05]of ibrahim alaihi salam and they go to visit the house of

[20:11]allah they go and visit the sacred kaaba we ask allah subhanahu

[20:16]wa ta'ala to grant us the opportunity and the privilege to go

[20:21]and visit the house of allah the sacred place of worship the

[20:26]sacred first place of worship on earth allah says in the quran

[20:37]the first place of worship that was built on earth was the

[20:40]kaaba so we ask allah to grant us the opportunity to perform

[20:47]the hajj and to visit the sacred house of allah subhanahu wa

[20:51]ta'ala yes this year is an unusual year even compared to all

[20:57]of the years that have passed this year the hajjaj were very

[21:03]small in number this year people are living under different circumstances difficult

[21:11]circumstances due to covid-nineteen the number of the pilgrims were performing the

[21:17]hajj was placed to a very minimum where only those who are

[21:22]within the kingdom they were able to go and perform the hajj

[21:26]but that doesn't mean that allah subhanahu wa ta'ala does not give

[21:30]us the opportunity to seek the reward of the hajj allah subhanahu

[21:35]wa ta'ala is allah is the most merciful and the most compassionate

[21:41]and allah subhanahu wa ta'ala gives us the opportunities to seek reward

[21:46]in many ways the hajjaj when they go and they perform the

[21:51]hajj they take off their clothes and they wear the ihram they

[21:58]wear the sacred garment ihram which is something which is very symbolic

[22:03]and resembles the kathan that a person will be wrapped around two

[22:08]pieces of cloth you wear it one on top and one on

[22:11]bottom for the men of course and this ihram of course the

[22:16]woman also have an ihram it's just not like the men but

[22:19]they enter in the state of ihram this ihram although we did

[22:23]not wear the ihram this year this let us wear the haram

[22:29]the garment of piety if you did not wear the actual haram

[22:35]wear the garment of piety the hajj they go and they enter

[22:44]mecca and they circumambulate they do tawaf around the kaaba although we

[22:50]did not do tawaf around the kaaba let's our lives revolve around

[22:57]allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and what allah subhanahu wa ta'ala asks of

[23:02]us and what allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has made obligatory upon us

[23:07]the then they go and they do the between the and the

[23:11]they walk between the mountains and that is one of the most

[23:17]sacred places on earth because that is where all of those who

[23:22]are arrogant who have raised their nose and they're looking down at

[23:27]other people that is the location where everyone will be humbled for

[23:31]allah allah says in the quran and are from amongst the signs

[23:42]of allah when you walk between safa and marwah make it a

[23:51]mission in your life although we did not walk between safa and

[23:54]marwah let us make it a mission in our life to walk

[23:58]and strive to strive towards doing what's good and helping those who

[24:04]are in need helping the muminee and helping the brothers and sisters

[24:07]in faith and anyone who is in need then the hajjaj they

[24:12]go and they stand in arafat a day like yesterday the ninth

[24:16]of the hajjah they stand in arafat and they turn to allah

[24:22]subhanahu wa ta'ala they ask allah to forgive them a place of

[24:26]meditation a place of contemplation a place of thinking a place where

[24:32]you get to know yourself arafat means the place where you you

[24:36]get to know yourself although we did not stand in arafat we

[24:42]do receive the reward of the one who's in arafat if we

[24:45]do the duas yesterday there were many duas and yesterday was a

[24:50]day of contemplation a day of meditation a day to visit imam

[24:56]al hussain alaihi salaam and allah subhanahu wa ta'ala answers the visitors

[25:01]of imam al hussain before those who are in arafat then the

[25:06]hajj they go to musdalafa and they're in musdalafa they do the

[25:13]zikr of allah and musdalafa they remember god allah says in the

[25:18]quran with and remember god in the let us although we are

[25:25]not in hajj let us constantly remember allah subhanahu wa ta'ala let

[25:29]us make it a habit to have the of allah in our

[25:33]tongue on the tips of our tongue we say in the let

[25:41]my tongue constantly be remembering you oh allah and also in musdalafah

[25:48]the hajjaj they collect the stones to prepare themselves for the next

[25:52]day to go and do the rami and minah now although we

[25:57]are not in musdalafah but we have to constantly prepare ourselves to

[26:03]defend our values and prepare to defend our faith collect the ammunition

[26:08]the ammunition of knowledge the ammunition of taqwa the ammunition of piety

[26:13]that's what we need my dear brothers and sisters then the hajjaj

[26:17]they walk to minah and there in minah they begin to do

[26:21]the rami the stoning of the shaitan and we all have our

[26:27]own shaitan we all have our own desires we all have that

[26:31]thing that is bringing us away from allah subhanahu wa ta'ala we

[26:35]have to make sure that we fight that wherever we are even

[26:38]if we are not in the hajj and then the hajj they

[26:42]do the taksir or the hulk they shave their head and that

[26:47]is a sign that you are born a new person that is

[26:51]a sign that you are born fresh and clean and allah subhanahu

[26:55]wa ta'ala has erased your sins and we have to believe that

[27:00]allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is able to forgive us just like allah

[27:04]forgives those who are in the hajj so we ask allah subhanahu

[27:08]wa ta'ala to give us the opportunity to perform the hajj but

[27:13]if we have not performed the hajj then at least try to

[27:19]make the hajj be a part of you and the lessons of

[27:22]submission lessons of servitude the lessons of sacrifice ibrahim sacrificed and this

[27:29]is what became the hajj my dear brothers and sisters today is

[29:29]the day of eid and on the day of eid this is

[29:34]the opportunity for us to connect with allah although the day of

[29:41]eid is a day of happiness but first and foremost the day

[29:45]of eid is a day of ibadah the day of eid is

[29:49]a day of worship this is why we began the day with

[29:54]reciting the prayer we recited dua and nudbah this is why you

[30:00]begin the prayer by the takbiat allahu akbar you do the takbiat

[30:07]because this is a day of worship the day it's recommended to

[30:11]do on this day you do all of these for the sake

[30:16]of allah a day of ibada first and foremost second my dear

[30:22]brothers and sisters the day of eid is a day of helping

[30:26]out those who are in need you see in our two of

[30:31]our major eid and eid al adha and of course today is

[30:37]friday which is also another eid it's eid that happens every week

[30:41]but many people don't know about that the eid al adha and

[30:47]eid al fitr muslims are recommend it's recommended upon muslims and it's

[30:54]highly recommended but for those who are in hajj it's obligatory upon

[30:59]them to give sadaqah to give charity and we have to give

[31:03]the zakat al fitra and those who are in hajj they have

[31:08]to make a sacrifice you have to sacrifice a sheep a cow

[31:12]a camel whatever it may be and one third of that sacrifice

[31:17]is given to the poor now of course another the other portion

[31:20]you could give to your family one portion you could eat for

[31:23]yourself now although we are not in hajj we are able to

[31:28]make this and it is highly highly recommended to make this sacrifice

[31:33]to make this for the sake of allah you do it and

[31:36]you are allowed to eat from it you can eat at one

[31:40]third a little bit more if you needed to and you give

[31:43]your family and you give one third to the poor people it

[31:46]is highly recommended to make this udhaya and if you cannot then

[31:52]you could give the money for the udhaya and more than one

[31:57]person can participate in one sacrifice one sheep so a whole family

[32:01]they could all pitch in a few dollars together and they all

[32:05]make one sacrifice now we have three days to make this starting

[32:10]with today the day of eid tomorrow and the day after for

[32:15]those who are in hajj they have four days to make it

[32:18]but for those who are out of the hajj they have three

[32:21]days but the best days on the day of eid to make

[32:24]the sacrifice and make the uthiya and that is our way of

[32:28]showing gratitude to allah subhanahu wa ta'ala for allowing us to remain

[32:32]and celebrate this eid and accepting our duas and our prayers this

[32:38]is another very important point regarding charity third my dear brothers and

[32:42]sisters the day of eid is a day to connect with your

[32:44]family a day to call your parents to call your family members

[32:50]your family let them get together let them celebrate treat this day

[32:54]as a day of eid i know we've been we are ordered

[32:58]to social distance and we're ordered to keep our distance from other

[33:05]people but there's there's nothing wrong with communicating you could communicate with

[33:10]your family over the phone you could see them in the outdoor

[33:13]place and you could get together with your family as long as

[33:16]you're following the orders of social distancing there's nothing wrong with that

[33:21]you can do both so the day of eid is a day

[33:24]to connect with the family in fact every day we have to

[33:27]connect with our family but the day of eid is a specific

[33:30]time and if your family have passed away this is a day

[33:34]that they're waiting for you to come and visit them in their

[33:37]graves this is a day to go and visit them in the

[33:41]cemetery if you can't visit them recite surah al fatiha send them

[33:46]some gifts just like on eid everyone expects gifts the children they

[33:50]expect gifts here and there send gifts to the deceased they expect

[33:54]gifts from us our family our relatives our friends who have passed

[33:59]they expect gifts from us let us remember all who are in

[34:04]need my dear brothers and sisters let us remember the mumineen and

[34:08]the muminat who are suffering all over the world there are many

[34:11]people who are sick there are many people who are who have

[34:15]tested positive for this virus and they are in need of our

[34:20]duas muslims and non muslims all over the world are suffering these

[34:24]are these are not very easy times but we have to keep

[34:28]our faith and allah let us raise our hands in dua
